these rapid eyes will keep on moving The first thing Lani wanted to do for the school's trip to the beach was surf. The waves were rolling, but it was nothing too dangerous. A few small waves pushed the sandy shores of Dagobah beach as the students of Yuuei started to enjoy the water. Toward the center of the beach, Lani carried her surfboard and a few other things with her to prepare. She wasn't just going to surf, she was going to teach anyone that was interested in doing so. Lani was no professional, but she knew the sport well enough to teach other people. And because she wasn't planning on doing anything hardcore just yet. She wore a cute swimsuit so that she could enjoy herself with her classmates after she was done. Back at the lodge, when everyone was arriving, she yelled out an invitation for anyone that wanted to surf or learn to surf to come with her. She didn't know who was going to take her up on her offer, but she was excited to see that kind of adventurous souls collected at her little section of the beach. While she wanted, Lani laid out a towel that she could kee her belongings on. Most important of them all was her phone. She needed to know where her friends were and if anyone text her asking her where she was. For the moment, she stood next to her board on her phone. Her surfboard was standing upright in the sand, almost as if she was leaning on it, though that wasn't the case. As for the people that did not have their own personal surfboards, the lodge provided a number of used boards for people to use. And the section of the beach they were on had a lifeguard tower close by in case anything did happen. ulla

the color of sunshine and smiles and joy on the place where the beach was the shortest there was a small wooden lodge built. It was only a couple of meters away from the beach. Infront of it was a couple of surfboards placed nicely against the lodge. A palm tree that was hanging half over the ocean was hammock tied hanging a few centimeters above the highest point of the waves. Inside the lodge wasn't much besides a couple of skateboards with half of them being taken apart for materials. A kingsize waterbed and a small home entertainment system with a couple of games. Further someone could find a nice shower and kitchen. It had all the basic needs for a house it only wasn't that big. Some would call it a nightmare living pretty far away from most people but there was someone that called this lodge his home.
In the hammock above the water was a boy laying not older than sixteen years old. His crimson red waved a bit with the wind and swinging of the hammock. The boy was calmly sleeping although this boy was no one else than the 1-A student named Sora. Sora heard some voices in the distance and his yellow eyes calmly opened. He stretches himself out a bit hearing some body parts crack softly while stretching. Sora looked into the distance and saw a girl standing with a surfboard. A small chuckle left his lips before he rolled out of his hammock and landed into the water with his feet. He looked a bit over the ocean towards the waves and shrugged a bit. "Could be better, could be worse." Sora calmly said before he took on of his surfboard and dove into the water.
Sora calmly pedaled through the waves making duckdives to get past the redzones of the waves until he reached the lineup. Well he was the only surfer at the moment. There were never a lot of surfers here though that is why he liked the place. It was a good spot without the kooks coming around all the time.
Sora calmly sat on his board for a minute or two enjoying the sun. It was warm weather though so he was just wearing a pair of boardshorts and kept his athletic upper body visible for everyone to see. He suddenly felt the water pulling on his ankles a bit and he started laying on his board. He started paddling calmly and looked over his shoulder seeing a wave develop behind him calmly. He felt his board going up a bit and the water pulling him backward. He looked over his shoulder one more time to find out where he would end up on the wave. He saw the curl slowly develop next to him and the moment he was ontop of the shoulder of the wave Sora jumped up ontop of his board. He pushed the board down a bit with his front foot to gain a bit more speed so he could ride it down but didn't push hard enough to push the nose underwater. The moment he reached the bottom he made a turn to turn away from the barrel.
Sora was riding a 5 foot wave making some quick Z-snaps until he ended up in the barrel. He was inside for a couple of seconds before he came out again and bailed from the top of the wave before paddling back towards the line up. He was showing off a bit making the motions a bit bigger then they should be although they looked clean. ❁

these rapid eyes will keep on moving Lani's invitation went mostly unnoticed by her classmates. People were still settling in and getting ready to hit the beach. They didn't move as quickly or as suddenly as Lani did. Behind her, a number of students made it to the sand and were doing their thing, but it wasn't everyone just yet. So, in the meantime, Lani was going to try and see how Japan's waves were. The coasts were different, but she was still in the same ocean she was used to. It was just that this time, Lani was on the other side of them. If felt weird because it felt like she was still at home. And even though Lani knew she wasn't. she couldn't help but get a familiar feeling from the water.
She walked toward the edge of the sand and then jumped out with her board. She swam out a bit to see just how turbulent the water was, only to see that she wasn't the first surfer out on the beach. Out from around the other side of one of the cliffs that lined the part of the beach the lodge owned was another surfer. She watched him for a moment, immediately recognizing his surfing shorts and his posture. He was no amateur. It seemed like Japan did have its share of surfers and Lani was glad to see that she wasn't going to be out here alone.
The girl took a moment to observe him while she kept her place in the water and rose up and down with the small waves that pushed against the beach. The water wasn't calm, but it wasn't ideal either. It was pretty perfect for trying to teach someone how to surf if there were any that wanted to learn. Once Sora finished up on the wave he was on, Lani rested her upper arm on her board and stated t clap loudly for the boy. "And here I thought I was going to be in this alone." She yelled out, trying to get her voice to be heard over the sounds of the sea. There was time before the next ridable wave came, so Lani was going to use the moment to paddle out to the guy and see just what kind of opportunities Japan was going to offer her. "How are the waters around here?" she asked once she got close to him. 400 | @sora | notes ulla
