Rowan suggested to immediately start and looked from one at another, that included Kiersa who seemed to immediately try and do something else, namely nibbling on the cupcake. She bit the inside of her cheek not to laugh, that happened more often. Last year she simply pointed people out but with this many showing up, it surely was fine to just have a mix and match, "Well everyone, let's form a circle and make space, so someone can volunteer." She was sure that the blonde would eventually step in. Rowan was the type that would not push, if people like Kiersa or Kumoko before were brave enough to step up to come to a try-out, it would not do well to push them to perform.
Before Rowan could ask again, someone already volunteered by putting up her hand. Prism, the person who came in second seemed to honour her bright complex by being as enthusiastic as the colours suggested. "Sure go ahead," Rowan said and looked shortly at Kumoko because she definitely needed someone to help her in the judgement. Though the ruling of the UA Galaxies, as they officially were called was more the idea of: if you show enthusiasm, you can join. Rowan did not want to shut out anyone and with training and the like, it was a lot easier to just have fun. Prism seem to know and be good at balancing and she did two flips very well, the last one made Rowan wince a little, "Are you okay?" She asked the girl that seemed to just giggle and saying oops and going on. Rowan started the initiative to clap and nodded, "That's definitely a part of it. You will be a pretty good asset for the stunts." She said brightly, as not everyone was good at that, Rowan could do a few flips but definitely herself wasn't even that advanced. She looked shortly at Kiersa and others to see if they got nervous, "Don't be afraid if you can't do this, I myself am not that good either. Everyone will have their own role and own way of being a cheerleader and we try to support that a lot within our group. So, who is next?"
This was the point where Misa introduced herself again and she smiled and gave the girl an acknowledging nod, "Yes, take the stage." She said to the first-year girl that wanted to try. She hoped that indeed no one was a bit dishearted after the great performance of Prism. She shouldn't have gone first, that was obvious now. Misa made a cartwheel and Rowan clapped again, hoping others would join. "That's very nice Misa, definitely useful. We try to focus on dancing and little stunts like that, it is nice to see." She tried to be uplifting for the girl who blushed quite a lot, it could also be because she had just been upside down because of the cartwheel. But yes this was going fine right, who would be the next person, again she would not deny anyone and she would be open for talks after this. So she would just see who volunteered now. But Rowan couldn't ask before Jess stepped forward and saying she would toss Misa and catch her with her quirk.
Rowan wanted to stop them but decided in the last second not to and well it wouldn't have done anything because the girls were too quick. She looked from one at the other, making sure they were alright. "It's definitely interesting how such a strength you have Jess, and that is something we could use. I only don't have permission from our advisor to use quirks, but we will see if we can." She had made fireworks before, Orlov-sensei had not been really happy about that but they would see. They could maybe plead about it together. "Impressive work though from the both of you." She had no idea Jess lied about Misa's preparation with it, so she simply clapped and grinned at the both of them. She did not want to disappoint any of them, so she would talk to Serperior later and explain, to see if he would agree this year.
Her eyes already went to BuraBura now that the others were done because he showed so much excitement whenever a performance was done, she was rather curious to see what he had in mind to show off himself. He did not seem to lack enthusiasm in his own performance with his front flip, high jump and multiple other flips and Rowan clapped again, "I see, good to see you all inspire each other, that's our job after all to inspire us as a group but also the other students. I am glad to see you all work well that way, nice work." She grinned also at Bura, not entirely noticing he used his quirk as well, after all it was much difficult for her to understand. Heavily convinced that the previous performance from Jess could be done without her quirk and wondering if Bura could perform the same idea, she was highly enthusiastic about the two of them.
Maybe what Rowan liked the most was how Luna tackled the situation. Her eyes had gone to the blonde from the start to now the other last candidate and they seemed to know each other. Tackling Kiersa's shyness by inviting her to do some dance moves together made Rowan smile, "I really like this idea. Why don't we all join?" She said while still looking at Luna and nodding shortly, so it would be less of a scary thing, more of together thing and most important to have fun. Rowan put up some other music easily with her phone and took a few steps forward to join Luna and hopefully Kiersa and tried to copy the moves that Luna had already made before. She would see if Kiersa would join and beckoned the others to do the same, but so that she could keep an eye out, it should be fun for everyone and she wanted to make sure the blonde girl was having that.

And of course the chameleon girl was bouncing all over the place, with all kinds of flips and stuff already... Kiersa's notions of even making it past the try-outs for this dropped like a stone. Although Misa's performance did help to ease her anxiety somewhat. The blonde was definitely glad to know that not everybody here was going to be as acrobatically energetic as Prism.
Although no sooner did that thought enter her head, it was soon dashed as the really buff lady activated their Quirk and promptly... what was that weird and strange word again that she'd seen in the UA chat room? Yeet, that's the one. Jesse basically attempted to yeet Misa into the air for her part of the try-out. Bura for his part made effectively himself into a large, very fluffy bouncing ball, complete with a dramatic landing.
There was no way in any universe she could compete with these! At this point Kiersa realised that she was now nibbling on the muffins wrapping paper and hadn't realised it yet. Unconscious stress eating... Not a good sign in any scenario! Luna though for her part did try to help Kiersa feel a bit better about this, and suggested they could try a bit of dancing.
The blonde coughed gently in order to clear her throat, as well as get her head cleared a little. "Umm... w-well... O-Okay... Just a h-heads up... I'm n-not very good at d-dancing..." she said softly.
Kiersa closed her eyes and took in a deep breath, letting it out slowly before she went into an "en pointe" position and started to perform a set of pirouettes with her hands clasping in front of her like a hoop as each revolution reached the start point. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten times she spun on the spot, before ending it with a slow curtsey. When she opened her eyes she looked around at everyone, blushing a little. "M-My c-cousin needed s-someone to practice w-with so I w-went to her l-lessons as well..." Kiersa quietly explained even though probably asked for one.

"I fine! Just bump head", she nodded as she rubbed the part of her head that slammed into the floor from the botched job. "She sat down away from where the others were doing their little show and observed them keenly, trying to understand the culture here and what else the cheerleaders did, as rowan stated that there was more then just flips and tricks involved in it! She sat patiently, wagging her tail almost like a dog as she observed the skills the other contained. For example, Bura Bura had his fluff and stuff to do neat things! Though, she did not quit seem to understand the dancing part that later came to be with Kiersa and the other girl whomst she has never met before. She gave a clap after each incident, wanting to make sure no one felt bad, after all it was the thought that counted no? "Good job", she said as she gave them all a wide smile and then looked up to rowan as she told everyone to dance which caused her to fidget. 'What kind of dances do these people like? I will join after a little bit of watching', she thought to herself a bit anxiously, not knowing the culture of the school yet.

Everyone seemed surprised by the stunt that Misa and the other girl had pulled off, but there was certainly nobody more surprised by it than Misa herself. She had neither prepared nor expected to be thrown, and a keen eye would notice that despite trying to remain calm there was an edge of panicked flailing involved. As she neared the ceiling she considered making her wings as constructs to help her stay safe, but the problem solved itself before she felt the need. She was pulled down towards the ground, and laded a little less than gracefully. After a few deep breaths to collect herself, she let out a soft chuckle. "Y-yeah. We definitely planned that. I'm glad you all liked it!"
She wasn't a very good liar in regular circumstances, but a last minute lie like this was even harder to pull off honestly. She didn't even have anything prepared! Luckily, the attention didn't linger on her for long at all, and instead others started to do their own tricks that easily put her lame and unbalanced cartwheel to shame. Even Bura was shockingly agile for his large and sturdy frame. Misa felt more out of place here than she had in the cooking club, which wasn't surprising. She had always loved cooking and had never really tried cheer leading at all. Still, it was fun to be with her friends and see their cool tricks! She clapped after every one, smiling like a goof.
"Wow Bura! You and Prism must have been practicing that for a while for you to be so good! Or are you a natural? Heh."
Misa was far far far from being any sort of a natural, and when the suggestion for a group dance came up she was... a little shy, to say the least about it. She planned on watching the pair go at it for some pointers first, but the leader suggested that they all do a group dance and Misa was not one to argue with authority. Kiersa warned them she wasn't very good and Misa decided to speak up. "Hey, no worries Kiersa! I'm not any good either, I'm sure you'll blow me away!"
Then they started, and Misa's assumption was completely correct. She lacked any form of rhythm, and Kiersa had clearly had at least some practice at this. Misa's face would light up red as with every step someone took around her, she would take the wrong one to follow. Eventually, she was struggling not to trip over her own two feet. A losing battle, too, it seemed. As Kiersa's routine stopped, Misa's foot caught on her ankle and she stumbled forwards, falling on her chest with a soft thud.
Rarely ever did she thank the cushions on the front of her chest, but when they lessened the blow of the hard floor like this she was thankful for her puberty.
"I, uh, don't seem to be very good at this, heh." She said, quickly pulling herself up before anyone could offer to help. "I... don't think I actually belong here... I just thought it would be cool to design and wear cute outfits, heh."

Luna couldn't help but grin over at Kiersa as she said that she wasn't very good at dancing. It would be wrong for Luna to say anything bad about her, as she was hardly a professional herself! She was simply moving how she liked and had fun doing it. "Don't be silly, there's no wrong way to dance aside from not dancing at all~" the dog-girl giggled a bit as she looked over to Kiersa.
The cheer captain spoke up, causing Luna to glance over at her. It was proposed that they would all join in which meant that everyone would be involved. Luna bounced on her feet a few times excitedly at the prospect of everyone dancing together, the music coming on just reigniting her desire to perform with both old friends and new as she started to dance once again, looking to Kiersa to see if she would actually do anything with them, which she did!
It seemed that Kiersa actually knew a dance move and had a cute little curtsey at the end! That was way more professional and elegant than anything Luna had under her skillset. "See! You had it in you!" Luna beamed at her friend, before her ears twitched at the sound of someone tripping.
Now her focus was being taken away by Misa who had stumbled onto the ground. Luna couldn't actually get a word in to ask if she needed help before the girl was already up though. Misa admitted that she didn't think she belonged here and that she just wanted to design and wear cute outfits. There was definitely a market of sorts for a cute outfit designer for a bunch of cheerleaders, but perhaps that could be settled with another club based around fashion design? It wasn't Luna's place to say though, as she wasn't actually a member of the club yet.
As such she just idly glanced over towards Rowan to see how she'd respond to Misa's words.

Kumoko smiled and bowed to Bura. It was nice to meet someone from chat face to face. As fun as the chat could be from time to time, it just was not the same as meeting someone in real life. Anyway, Rowan was speaking to everyone, so for now, Kumoko remained quiet and out of the way, letting the captain do the explaining without interruption.
But now it was time to see what the tryouts would do. Kumoko was about to speak up, try to offer advice on not worrying too much. But she was not sure if she would even be much help in that regard. If anything, nervousness was good sometimes. It could help people think of what to do on the spot. Just like how last year the spider-headed girl was so nervous and worried about underperforming that she somehow went above and beyond with her own performance. It was still rather embarrassing to think about, but at least it was really fun. Anyway, Kumoko wanted to see with her own eyes just what these students could do.
They'll all be fine. If a nervous wreck like me was somehow able to overcome my nerves, then anyone can. And even if someone is way too nervous, what really matters is having heart and wanting to have fun.
One by one, Kumoko watched the students do their thing. And it soon became clear that there was never any real reason to worry. They were all really good! Smiling brightly, Kumoko applauded each student as they finished their performance, jumping up and down excitedly as she did so. "Yay! Awesome job!" With how well everyone was doing, Kumoko had no doubt in her mind that they would all fit right in as cheerleaders.
She then smiled when Rowan suggested joining in on the dance idea Luna had. "Ooh, awesome idea!" Last year, the spider girl would have been horrified at such an idea, shaking in fear. Nowadays, Kumoko was far more open to the idea. She was a pretty decent dancer herself, even if she did still trip a lot. But hey, at least it would be fun! Kumoko would begin with a simple and gentle twirl... before deciding to cartwheel and tap dance with just her spider legs alone. Naturally, it did not take too long for the girl to fall over and trip. "Oww. I'm okay!" But one faceplant on the ground was not enough to dampen her mood. She just got back up and tried again, once again dancing and twirling with just her spider legs alone.
"No need to feel shy, everyone. If a nervous wreck like me can do it, so can all of you! Besides, you don't have to be amazing or even any good to dance. Just focus on having fun! After all, that's the most important thing!" Now if only she could tell her past self that. Oh well. At least she had learned that lesson eventually. Better late than never!

Niji raced through the halls, trying to find the right door. How could she had been running late?! Of all days?! She had promised herself that she would try more things and be more outgoing and instead overslept to her working late in the lab. She use to better at prioritizing. She hoped she wasn't too late. She really wanted to try something new. Plus this would help her with exercising and coordination.
She had a wide smile on her face. When was the last time she was so excited about something? Was it because of what Honey told her? The encouraging words of Desmoshi? She couldn't really say for sure, but she was happy to have people in her life again, even though all the wounds had not healed. But that came with time, and she was going to use her time wisely.
That is if she could find where she was supposed to be on time. As Niji burst into the room, she saw a whole bunch of people and Rowan-senpai. “Sorry, I am late, Rowan-senpai!” exclaimed Niji, catching her breath. “I took a wrong turn and ….” Niji looked up to see a lot of people in the room. Well, this was embarrassing. “Hi,” said Niji nervously to everyone. “I am Niji Uta from 1-S. I am here for the tryouts.”

So they would go dancing, but not before Kiersa showed the pirouettes as if it was nothing. Ten. With a bow. With an explanation. How was she not dizzy yet? How and she said she couldn't dance. "You know that is pretty impressive?" She looked with big eyes at Kiersa again before turning her attention to Kumoko to see what her fellow cheerleader had to say about it before turning to the others and Zuka especially as she was going to dance with her friend. "You know not everyone has to do those somersaults and all, we also need people for dancing and dancing is easy to learn." She should know that herself considering she followed her cousin to classes.
She still invited Kiersa and thus also Zuka to dance with her, making easy dance moves to not make anyone uncomfortable and would see how it would go, it should be also fun. It did not last that long as the song had to be changed and so on. Rowan stopped when she heard Misako and turned to her, "Oh I am sorry, but I could definitely use something for that, what you are looking for is the arts club, my best friend Miku is the captain of that. You can learn how to sew and design there." She turned to Kumoko, "You are in there too right? Maybe you can discuss to meet up once and show Misako around, and then I am sure you can still help with decorations and outfits, that would be fun." And well if she wanted to come for practice, Rowan wasn't going to stop her. She did look a little worried at Misako, "Let me get you a drink, alright? We should get back to our spots so I can finish this." She hoped that Misa didn't mind how she handled this, she wasn't really good at that, something to learn: back to Mosa's classes.
She was glad for having Kumoko around, it made it less bad than other try-outs and she would try to get everything to their spots to congratulate them all in joining the cheerleaders when someone came racing in. She felt perplex and stopped talking immediately. She gave a small wave and a smile, "Oh, well the floor is yours if you want?" She would say and look at Niji, from 1-S okay, that could be nice, another contender. She looked around for everyone to see if they would not mind trying another time for Niji and she would wait for the girl to perform.

Kiersa blinked, confusion written quite clearly all across her features as she tried to understand all the praise that was coming her way after just doing a few pirouette's. Even Rowan-senpai was praising her, claiming that what she'd done was pretty impressive?! The young blonde shook her head, her hair coming forward to cover how red she was getting. "I-It's n-not th-that i-impressive... h-honest..." she quietly stammered out.
When Misako fell over though she did try to help her back up, but the girl was already back on her feet and already thinking that this wasn't for her. "It t-takes a w-while... a-and a l-lot of p-practice t-to dance. I s-still m-make mistakes as w-well." she admitted to the brown haired girl. Luna's words though were very confusing to Kiersa. Of course there were wrong ways to dance. Putting your foot in the wrong position, or even an elbow at the incorrect angle for example.
But as she watched the others start to move their bodies around, she tilted her head curiously. This didn't look like any kind of dancing that she was familiar with... and even Rowan-senpai was taking part in the random movements that everyone was taking part in... So maybe this was just a different style of dancing?
For now she'd try to copy what everyone else was doing, the whole sensation was very strange and unusual. When Niji arrived to take part in the tryouts, she'd stop her part in the strange dancing so that Miss Uta could have an uninterrupted stage for herself.

Prism was not a good dancer, as she was not culturally aware of the area and dancing was not a big part of her life so she saw the people dancing and took a step back to watch to shy to try. She was bubbly and naïve for the most part, but she was still a girl and even she would be embarrassed by looking TOO goofy and that was coming from prism, a super goofy girl! "Cute", she said to the people as they danced an gave them a toothy grin hoping she could blend into the background so she would not have to be included in this little dance party. She could literally blend in, however, she felt like this was not the best time to do so. She walked towards rowan and her tail waved a bit. "Hello. Sorry for slip. I very excited and fall", she apologized to the 'leader' of the group. "What cheerleading then?", prism asked, as she heard rowan say that it is not just all flips and tricks and that was the first thing that came to her mind when she thought about what she saw on the t.v screen in japan.

Misa was grateful that everyone seemed to be nice and understanding about her lack of capabilities. Honestly, she was starting to feel like maybe she had gone about the club thing the wrong way, and going to every introduction to every club might not be such a great idea. At least not for her self esteem, and her slightly sore tailbone. Stumbling through another dance seemed like more embarrassment than was actually necessary though, so she stepped to the side and listened to the instructor. The idea that she presented made Misa smile softly.
"An arts club? That... actually sounds like exactly what I was looking for, heh." She scratched the back of her head, accepting the drink that Rowan offered and taking a few sips as she backtracked a bit. "I think I'll look into that instead. We've probably seen enough of my potential here haha. I really appreciate the help and the time! I just don't think it's for me."
She turned to the class and smiled brightly before bowing her head low and chuckling a bit. "Thank you for having me, everyone! I appreciate your time and it was nice to meet you! I'll let you get back to practice!~"
With that, Misa would make her way out of the gym.

So much was happening that Bura let himself melt into the background for a few moments to see what happened. Bura was frankly excited to be part of this club-hopefully it'd help with his mobility and agility issues he has due to his massive frame. Despite that seeming to be an ulterior motive, Bura was having genuine fun with this club and the others in the club. So Bura was hoping he'd get picked as a member, and Bura patiently watched the group do their stuff from the back with a broad and exciting smile on his face to show he was enjoying his time here.
Bura walked over to the two small girls of Kiersa and Misako and patted his large hands on their back and gave them a supportive smile. Bura then said, "Hey-hey no need to be modest those were some cool moves Kiersa- and Misa with a dancing sensei like Kiersa you'd be dancing circles around everybody here in a few weeks!" Bura brightly said as he looked over to the other girls and gave them all a huge grin and waved at the latest arrival, "Hey Niji-chan! Glad to have you here today!" Bura said, genuinely excited at the girl's potential.
When Prism asked what cheerleading was, Bura smiles at her and brightly started by saying "You cheer on your friends and everybody around you so they can be the best versions of themselves! That's what I think this is anyways!" Bura said in a clear voice, so it'd be easy for Prism to understand his words, and hopefully, what he was saying. Bura smiles at the girl and says "You are already pretty good at it if I'm honest Prism-chan!" Bura praised the girl.
Bura waved off Misa as she left-Bura hoped he took his suggestion seriously, but it was her choice. Bura then looked over at Rowan and asked, "So Niji-chan is next Senpai?" Bura asked politely of the older girl.

"Okay," she stammered. The spotlight was on Niji. Well, this was sudden. Part of her wanted to run away and never try this again. But the part of her that was being cheered on by Honey- that's what kept her rooted where she stood. And stand she will, with confidence. She took a deep breath. She can do this. She can set her future. All she needed to do was focus and do her best. Wait. She didn't know how to dance. But she knew how to sing. So she would go with that.
Niji got in front of the crowd. It was just like performing when she was younger. Her father would comfort her and tell her to do her best. To not let the crowd get to her and do it from the heart. Niji started her routine with some flips and a few somersaults, doing her best to keep in time with the beat. On the last flip, she stumbled a bit, almost about to fall. But she caught her balance and continue to dance somewhat gracefully to the music. She did a handspring into a front flip and cheered with a smile, "We're UA! We're the best! We are here to beat the rest! Go, UA!" This was how cheering right? She hoped so because that all she knew to be honest.

Rowan wondered what got so far that Kiersa was so insecure or was it simply being shy and she saw too much into it. "Well I can tell you, that not everyone can do that." she told Kiersa who tried to wave away the impressive work she had done and she smiled, hoping that would work. Shame Rowan never got the patience as a kid for ballet, that would be so pretty to be able to do, at least she can dance that was something. She would dance a little with everyone and then noticed someone else that would come in and she smiled and asked everyone to give the floor to Niji so the last candidate could show their dance before they would maybe get a drink, a cupcake and leave for today. But she would just make sure before Niji started that the others were content as well.
Prism still came to her while somewhere dancing and Rowan raised an eyebrow to ask a silent question. "I mean we dance, we do some tricks, if you are good at it we surely can throw it in the routine and that's fun but it's mostly dancing and supporting our sports team when they have a match." For example if Kirk had a match against another school or during the sports festival, so that's what she tried to explain to Prism. "And most important of course is to have fun." She smiled at the girl and let her watch the others and tried to give some instructions if Prism wanted to try and else to watch. With training she would perform the routine and sometimes with Melody and then she would have them watch and they would do it in steps together.
Misa would confess she did not like it and when she listened to the girl she would tell her about the arts club that sounded more like something she wanted to do and she was glad to hear she would like to try. So she gave the directions to get to the club and she would smile and thank her for coming as well before letting her go. She hoped she did not hate today and wasn't too harsh on herself. She would then turn to Bura and Niji, "Yea, if you don't mind that Uta-san?" It might be a little awkward feeling to be the last and everyone watching, but she should get use to the everyone is watching feeling as they would be cheerleaders. So she asked to make space and see what the girl would do.
She gave a small chuckle with Niji her performance, she was the only one coming up with a yell, she looked shortly at Kumoko and smiled at the idea, ha that worked. "Nice work Uta-san." She clapped and smiled at the others and put her hands on her hips, with Misa gone all the concern was just on Kiersa but she would see. "I like all your performances, I think we all have different specialities that make us learn from each other and form a great team. So I hope you all would like to be a member of the squad. We train every Thursday evening here and please send me the info about your sizes for the uniforms that I will get you guys." And she would get the pompons that she had left over. This was great, they got a full team again! She looked at Kumoko to see if she still had some words left to share with everyone. She would still offer them cupcakes or water now that everything was over and if they had questions to come to her or Kumoko or else to see her next Thursday.

Kumoko nodded. "Yup! I'm in the Art Club, and I'd be more than happy to help you out!" What kind of senpai would the spider girl be if she didn't offer to help her kouhai? Speaking of Misako, it seemed like she wanted to leave, feeling like cheerleading just wasn't for her. That was understandable. Kumoko smiled. "No worries. It was nice to have you here with us. Have a wonderful day!" And as the girl left the gym, Kumoko would wave at her before looking at how the others were doing.
It seemed as though the group had a latecomer. Kumoko listened as the girl, who was apparently called Niji and from class 1-S, explained that she took a wrong turn. "Don't worry, Uta-san! I don't think anyone can fault you for being late. I certainly don't. Anyway, hi and welcome!" It seemed that she would be next to perform. Just like with the others, Kumoko was sure that Niji would be just fine. And she was! Smiling, Kumoko joined in the applause once the girl had finished. "That was wonderful!" As Bura had said earlier, cheerleading was about cheering on people around oneself to help them be the best version of themselves. At least the spider girl thought so. Anyway, it was clear that just like the others, Niji would do well as a cheerleader. She certainly had the spirit.
And with that, it seemed that the tryouts were drawing to a close. But before the end, Kumoko had some closing words to say. "So, all of you did an admirable job, and I have no doubt that you will all make amazing cheerleaders! I can see that you all have the heart and spirit, and at the end of the day, that enthusiasm is what's most important. I'm looking forward to cheering on the school alongside all of you! Thank you all for coming!" One final bow to everyone. Just like Rowan, Kumoko was happy to have a full squad to work with once again. She looked forward to practice next Thursday with everyone. No doubt it was going to be a fun time!
