Having only been at Yuuei for a short while, Luna was still struggling to get her bearings at her new school. There was so much to explore and she wanted to see every room that it had to offer. Of course, she was interested in all of the different extracurricular clubs that the school had to offer as well seeing them as a good chance to make new friends or pick up a new skill. She didn't have any clubs she wanted to join herself, her skillset wasn't exactly amazing for any of them outside of many sports, or she could try joining martial arts.
But her interest in checking out the rooms was more linear for now, going in alphabetical order. That of course meant that the first club she was going to poke around for would be the 'Actual Arts' club. Now, Luna didn't have any arts skills to speak of really, meaning this was quite literally the last place she could reasonably join as a member but she definitely enjoyed it nonetheless. Taking in and trying to understand the creative works of others was incredibly fulfilling.
As Luna arrived at the empty classroom that housed the Actual Arts Club, her tail would be swaying side to side quite happily excited to see what anyone there had come up with. Her ears perked up to listen in as she pressed against the door. Was anyone even there right now? She didn't hear any sounds in particular... but perhaps someone was still using it. Classes weren't exactly in session currently due to the day so if this was the right room anyone could be there, or nobody at all.
It seemed she wasn't going to figure this out by just sitting there with her face pressed against the door though, so she would slowly open the door and peek her head inside, scanning the room. "Anyone in here? This is the Actual Arts Club, right?" she called out keeping her tone quite low as she didn't want to scare or disturb anyone from whatever they were doing. Who knew what she could find there.

Chikako was balled up in the corner working on her drawing pad when Luna appeared at the entrance, Chikako was quite oblivious to the girl going and peeking through the door as her eyes were hyper focused on her current drawing. Her current drawing was of the flames during the rescue mission last year and the houses on fire, shaded in heavily with her pencil to create quite the heavy undertone. The event was a bit fresh in her mind and kept playing in her mind, it was slightly traumatic in her mind and art was her only place that she knew how to escape. That's why she was almost always curled up in this club room; alone.
Eventually, however, she looked up when she was about to go grab some supplies she needed to do some finalizing of her art and to her surprise looked another student she had not seen before lostly looking into the classroom. ' A first year?', she thought to herself before she took out another pad, a writing pad this time to interact with the wolf-like girl. She began to jot some words down before she raised it up towards the girl as if telling her to read it. "Hello, how may I help you?", it read.

As she entered the room further to get a look around, Luna's titled her head when her eyes fell upon the girl balled up in the corner doing her own thing. Perhaps she was one of the club members? Well, Luna didn't want to be a stranger! But why did this girl ignore her? Perhaps she was just too absorbed by whatever it was she was doing on that little pad of hers, Luna didn't want to jump to negative conclusions just yet.
She approached slowly, before looking down at the writing pad that the girl pulled out and wrote on. Maybe she was mute? This was the first conclusion Luna jumped to, causing her to pull back and grin. "I'm just poking around in the different clubs seeing what stuff there is to do! I want to meet and be friends with eeeeveryone!" she made this really excited gesture to end off her explanation before a small realization shot through her.
Just being a mute didn't exactly answer everything... the girl ignored Luna entirely at first, and perhaps it wasn't because she was absorbed in her drawing.
Luna didn't quite know if this was the case, and it was probably SUPER insensitive of her to just point it out like this, but the dog girl slowly raised a hand and pointed at her ear, cocking her head curiously. She wanted to know everything before she just went on being her explosively energetic self, she was going to end up saying a million things without being responded to otherwise. And to say the least, being an explosive talkative little dog to a girl who couldn't respond would make things quite awkward.
Now that she inquired about the girl's state of being, Luna reached into her bag and pulled out a pencil with a few bite marks on the side showing heavy use. The only reason she was using a pencil here was in case the girl wanted to erase it and use it for something else later, but Luna leaned forward and wrote. "I'm new and would like to make friends." this was a satisfying, short sentence so that she wouldn't take too long writing it. Luna leaned back proud of herself, as it put her points across without needing to take up an entire page as it would if she wrote like she talked.

Chikako was watching the dog-girl who wondered into the usually empty art room, she saw her lips moving but she did not read lips very well so she merely tilted her head in a confusion as the girl talked. However, soon enough, the girl started to point at her ears and she furled her eyes a bit trying to understand what she was saying into it dawned on her; she was asking if chikako was deaf.
Soon there after, she began to write on the book she was using to say 'I'm new and would like to make friends' in response to her question. 'So she is checking out the clubs?', she thought to herself as she attempted to deduce what she meant by that exactly, so few words from someone that was moving her mouth like a machine gun earlier. The contrast was a little funny, that even Chikako wanted to giggle a bit but she would refrain from that behavior in front of her underclassmen. She looked down back at the book after giving the girl a glance as if to notify her that Chikako read it and began writing again. "I see, This is the art club, not many people are ever in here. I am usually lurking around.", she raised the book to the girl for a second before she took the book again and began to write some more. "I am deaf, if that is what you were asking with the poking of your ears. The name is Chikako Saiafa, I am a third year from class c, nice to meet you. And you are?", she picked up the book towards the girl again and then pushed her hands out as if to offer her the book. She gave a nervous smile, trying to be welcoming to the new student.

It didn't take too long to get a nice response from this girl, who Luna was happy to accommodate in this instance even if it was hard to contain her own personality. It would be way too rude to carry on like she normally did though, and she already felt really bad about calling out the deafness.
Luna couldn't help but pout a bit as she read that people were rarely in the art club, but it meant that they weren't going to be interrupting anyone else she supposed. This would be followed up by a response that she was in-fact deaf, before being told the girl's name and class. Though it was a surprise that she was a third-year, Chikako looked so youthful she could have mistaken her for a first-year student!
This was when the book was offered back to Luna, causing her to offer a soft, warm smile back to Chikako before taking it. "Let's see...." the Dog-girl mumbled to herself quietly as she put her pencil to work. "Sorry for asking, by the way. I just thought it'd be easier if I asked up-front. My name is Luna Mishima, Class 1-B." she would stop there and then cup her chin, obviously in deep thought as she questioned how exactly she would push this conversation forward without too much talking on her part, as writing a lot wasn't exactly her forte.
"I don't have much artistic talent, but I'm very interested in what you all do here. I would love to see some of your work." "There!~" she would smile to herself as she finished off the last sentence, showing the page to Chikako with a happy little smile. She was quite proud of figuring out how to converse with someone this way. Maybe picking up sign language in the future would be beneficial.

"I see, everyone has artistic talent, it is just shown different. The silent world of expression is for everyone", she scribbled down swiftly to respond to the girl, whomst seemed to doubt her own ability. "I do not mind giving you some tips and lessons, if you want, it is a good way to release your energy and emotions", she wrote with a large grin on her face. It was one of the few things that genuinely made her happy, when most of the time she felt like a dumpster. This was a passion she wanted everyone around her to understand!
She grabbed a second book and showed off some of her pieces, one of her current favorites was of a rustic version of America that she made after a dream a few nights ago. She handed the book to the girl so she could look at her own pace and smiled brightly and then looked away blushing as her anxiety began to spark up when she released how aggressive she was being with art. "I hope you enjoy, I apologize for my behavior!", she jotted down and showed to the girl before she hugged the book close to her chest and looked at the floor again. 'Oh my, I hope she doesn't think I am weird...', she thought to herself.

Luna tilted her head a bit as she read what the girl had to say. It was probably true that everyone had some degree of artistic talent but Luna had no clue how she could express herself that way! Perhaps a different form of art would work for her, but at least drawing was far out of her league. She was far too excitable and hyper to actually sit down and be patient with a work of art. If anything she'd just scribble on a page like a child and it'd look like something a kindergartener would make. Not that there was anything wrong with that type of art, but she just was concerned about being picked on for something so novice.
What came next, made Luna smile quite happily as she got to flip through the pages of the book, scanning over the various art that Chikako made. Her head started to rock from side to side as she looked through the pieces of art, her tail swishing along in the same rhythm. It wasn't often that Luna's energetic personality had to be dialed back a second just to get herself across. Normally she would be spouting off all sorts of things from her mouth but she knew that here they would be just thrown out into the void and she'd be leaving Chikako out. That'd make her feel bad.
Seeing the upperclassmen blush and look away, Luna giggled and rubbed the back of her head, opening her eyes once again to look over what Chikako wrote next. She was apologizing!? Luna let out another soft chuckle before shaking her head, pulling out a notebook from her own bag, turning to the very last page. It would probably be a lot easier to communicate without passing notebooks back and forth anyways. "You have nothing to apologize for! Your art is wonderful" she would smile and show Chikako the page, before flipping through a bit more of Chikako's art.
Luna definitely wasn't the kind to judge art, she didn't really have an eye for preference, nor did she care for the little things. Just the spectacle of knowing someone was able to achieve and make something was amazing to her, so it was actually quite easy for her to find joy in every piece of art even if the meanings were lost on her.
After she had gotten her fill of the art, she would carefully hand the book back to Chikako to make sure she didn't mess with any of the pages, grinning to herself. Chikako had actually given her something else to ask about by then as well, so she immediately returned to her own notebook to write a question. "I'm not very good at being patient. Do you have any recommendations for how I could get into art?" it was sort of a messy question on paper, but it was hard to get her point across without writing entire paragraphs onto the page like she would when talking. Hopefully, she could be understood though. She had no idea what to do with herself due to how hyper she was! Settling down to make art would be a miracle.

She listened to the concerns of the young wolf girl and thought briefly about them, considering what art style would best suite a angsty beginner. There was a few ideas that she had, but nothing to solid as she pandered the question vastly. After all, in some chance the wolf girl takes a chance at her recommendation this would be maybe one of her few chances to fall in love with art or the grimmer fate of disliking art; it was a question Chikako had to think of seriously because of that.
"how about finger painting or perhaps something more hands on like crafting of metal sculptures? both arts, one is more abstract so no matter what you do its art and the other is hands on so you will never be bored?", she wrote down before giving the notebook to her new furry friend; hoping somewhat that she would take the suggestions she gave to the girl at least a little seriously. "I am no master, but I can try and help you learn them?", she added onto it before giving the book back to the girl again. Chikako smiled just slightly towards the girl, as the silent world of art was one of her few passions and escapes.
