It was early in the afternoon. Skies clear, visibility good. Street traffic was minimal, most people at work or home. The temperature was perfect, the atmosphere calm. Nakano had never seemed so peaceful, yet it was all just a veil for the chaos in the district's veins. The pain and blood, and the fierce fighters that tried to stop it.
The tension in that van was tangible, dulled only by Yasuke's insistence on playing some calming jazz on the ride there. The back of the vehicle was filled with all kinds of equipment, including bolted-down chairs and large monitors, all for to aid in their jobs of overseeing this operation. This included everything that his apprentice, the young Elise von Eisenberg, would have brought with her to do her own part.
A few days before, she'd have been given all the files on the operation, but Heaven-on-High insisted on going over things again as they drove to their staging point, his voice collected and serious as he reviewed the details of their mission.
"I'm sure you're familiar with the situation in Nakano. You know pretty well how we've been turning the tide, and this could be a decisive move..." The older man explained. "We'll be coordinating an SAT unit known as Tiger Squad in a raid on an Inagawaro safehouse. Intel from our Surveillance teams pegs this location as a front where they store illicit goods, weapons and unlaundered cash." In the documents Elise had, she would have various images and blueprints of the location...
"Used to be an amusement park, until shit went sideways. Turns out, when the Inagawaro Clan took over Nakano, they strongarmed the former owners into handing over the land, disguising it as abandoned. Clever, but not clever enough for our undercover agents." He'd say with a hint of pride in his voice.
"Today's the day there's a number of drop-offs and pickups, but they like to take their time and use it as a hangout... Perfect opportunity for us to strike. We'll be sending in a team of 6, with other officers on standby in case anyone flees. It's our job to guide them and provide support wherever needed. Feel free to use your Quirk."
They were nearing a dingy and abandoned part of Nakano and said theme park could even be seen not far from where they were.
"We'll each be guiding 3 of the team. My guys will be breaching on the East, clearing the Haunted House section. You'll be clearing the West. You'll need to clear the Arcade, Execution Room, Upper Arcade, Cafe, and everything in between. Have the Tiger Squad secure any contraband and take down hostiles."
That brought Elise over to the next important part of her mission: Their allies.
"You'll be coordinating three SAT officers. They're all armed with submachine guns using nonlethal rubber bullets. The three you're coordinating are Fang, Hyde and Pounce. Hyde's your vanguard, using a riot shield. Pounce will handle breaching, he's got several implements on hand. Fang's also got her Mobile Anti-Quirk System, or MAQS. You'll want it for Taniguchi..."
Last, but certainly not least... Was the other side: The threats, the enemies. The most important of which came with his own picture...
"We're expecting the Yakuza to be armed with knives and other self-defence implements, potentially handguns. The biggest threat, however, is Kosuke Taniguchi. One of the highest ranking lieutenants in the Inagawaro Clan, and a Quirked one. Don't engage without Fang and her MAQS."
With that, all their bases were covered, and they were pulling up to a nearby SAT vehicle on the outskirts of the themepark, getting ready to finally rock and roll. , "We'll handle recon first. But, before that, let's go introduce ourselves." The van would come to a stop, and the duo would get out of the vehicle, to be greeted by the 6-person team that they'd be coordinating... As Elise exited, she might notice perhaps the most striking individual of the bunch.
A younger woman with a green streak in her hair, a cold look in her eyes, and an odd case slung over her shoulder.
"Right on time, Heaven-on-High." She would utter, nodding towards the older man and eyeing Elise suspiciously.
"Good to see you, Fang. This is my apprentice, who can tell your herself what she'd like to use as her callsign... Go on and say hi to your team, then get back in the van for recon." Yasuke would say with a grin. He then looked over to another trio of squad members, strutting over to introduce himself.
The cold woman just gave a slight nod towards Elise, while a cheerier blond lad give an enthusiastic salute.
"Hey there, little lady. I'm Pounce."
A more reserved-looking dark-haired man also nodded in greeting, with a welcoming smile.
"And I'm Hyde. Glad to be in your care."
That just left Elise to introduce herself, and her callsign!

Despite the fact it was a pleasant day when it came to the weather, Elise had to admit that there was a sense of tension, perhaps it was her education in the medical field and her interest in psychology that had made the young lady more sensitive and prone to notice such things. Indeed, while it was a peaceful afternoon with clear skies and street traffic was at a minimum, Elise knew from her experience that this peace was but like the calm before a storm, a veil which concealed the true darkness that was infecting the shadows of Nakano.
She had to admit that Yasuke's insistence on playing some calming jazz music on the ride to their destination was a boon, music did do wonders to help soothe her emotions, even if she was still feeling tension from the seriousness of the situation. It wasn't fear, nor excitement, it was the awareness, the responsibility that she was going to be involved in a mission of such importance that made it clear she had to use all her skills and experience to ensure the trust of her mentor would not be misplaced.
Even if she had been given the files a few days prior to the operation, even during the ride Elise had been occupied memorizing every detail she could, the handheld device she had brought along serving both as a means to communicate with her companion, but also to keep records of all the intel she needed. Fortunately her mentor did insist to go over the things again prior to the start of the operation. She nodded her head firmly at Yasuke's words. She knew that while the police forces were steadily gaining ground in Nakano, their quest to get rid of the Inagawaro Yakuza proved to be tricky, and till now no key figures responsible behind the structure of the clan were able to be captured yet. However, this operation was meant to be a decisive blow, the opportunity to capture a key figure of the Inagawaro clan and start to methodically dismantle them. Elise listened attentively as the man explained they would be coordinating an SAT unit, an elite force known as the Tiger Squad on a raid on an Inagawaro safehouse.
"A loose thread can cause an entire ball of yarn to unravel, and it seems we knew where to pull." Elise smiled briefly, although she still remained focused as she was looking over at the various images and blueprints of the amusement park. So today there would be a number of deliveries, and their fondness for sticking around and using it like a hangout was a vulnerability her mentor intended to exploit. The fact she was permitted to use her quirk showed just how important the operation truly was, and the small arctic fox perched onto her shoulder. So her mentor's team would be breaching from the east, the three assigned to her would clear the west side of the complex. Nodding her head firmly she looked at the profiles of the three SAT officers, it appeared the team's composition was balanced as expected, a vanguard, a breacher and then Fang who would be a key asset to deal with Taniguchi.
So the enemy was going to be armed, as expected but to think they might even have possession of handguns and a Quirker was worrying, but then again considering the unit had prepared measures to deal with Quirkers made it clear that they were prepared for such a threat.
Elise exited alongside her mentor, her gaze settling onto the younger woman whose cold look reminded her of someone. "Understood, I'll get to work." She smiled briefly at Yasuke and turned toward the three members of the unit she would be leading. The comment about a callsign made her think for a moment, it made sense for her to use the alias she had inherited from Kiryu-sensei, and yet she recalled Tetsuko's concerned expression in the aftermath of those events. Her enrollment into the Public Safety Commission was a choice she made, a decision that would reduce the danger and risks she'd get herself involved into, so that Tetsuko wouldn't need to worry so much, so that... she would always have someone to return home to.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Pounce, Hyde and Fang. You may call me..." She pondered for a bit, her gaze drifting at Yasuke for just a moment upon which she turned her focus back to the team. "Eden's Verse" Meanwhile the fox on her shoulder chimed softly. "And I'll be Muse, I will be assisting Meister in her recon work and communication with you all while in the field." Elise nodded her head briefly. "Muse here is a creation made by my Quirk, she is capable of communicating mentally with me from a distance and through technology provide me with a detailed mapping of her surroundings, she can provide me accurate info up to twenty meters, beyond that, I'd have to rely on her sight."
With the explanation out of the way she decided to add one last thing. "I will do my utmost to guide you all to the best of my capacities, but keep in mind I wish to see all of you return, after all I got to prove to Pounce here that I'm not a 'little lady' when we go for drinks afterwards~" With a playful wink she looked at the three of them and waited to see if they had any comments left to make, else she would watch Lyse jump off her shoulder and hop onto Hyde's shoulder. "Since you're the big guy with the shield, I'll be sure to keep myself all safe and comfortable near you~ I might look like a fox but I'm actually a slime girl, so please don't panic if I turn into goop to hide myself~"
At least it seemed Lyse was already making herself comfortable with the squad! But for now it seemed the final introductions were being made.

The trio of SAT members listened curiously as Elise introduced herself. Hyde, with a warm intrigue, his tall build giving something off the air of a friendly giant. Pounce always had some kind of grin or raise of his brow, the appearance of this strange girl clearly catching his interest. Fang seemed passive, cold, and borderline uninterested. Even when Elise offered her rather interesting call-sign.
"Heaven and Eden, huh... Guess we're blessed, that's a good sign." Pounce joked, earning a half-smile from Hyde and an roll of the eyes from Fang. All three would wear looks of surprise when her little fox spoke up, however, having not been informed of this other companion of hers. Of course, things became clearer when she explained things, and the tactical advantages of 'Muse' became evident.
"I see. So she's not all too different from Heaven-on-High's 'birds', though more suited to enclosed spaces. Should be useful." Hyde commented, taking an analytical approach right off the bat. With callsigns and the introduction of their little companion handled, all that was left was to prepare for the mission to begin. Naturally, Elise offered her well-wishes and assurances, with Pounce grinning widely at her claims about their drinks afterwards. Lyse soon found herself on Hyde's shoulder, the tall man nodding firmly with Elise's explanation.
"I'll do my best to protect you then, Muse." He insisted, not quite understanding what she meant by slime girl, but he wasn't about to ask too many questions. He had a job to do, and he was going to do it. "Enough toying around, let's get going." Fang would speak up, a hint of annoyance in her tone. "You'll be guiding us from afar. We've got bodycams and mics to help with that. Given your inexperience, however, we are free to disregard orders. Make it so we don't have to." The young woman spoke coldly, before nodding to Pounce and Hyde, clearly having some amount of authority within the group. They gave an almost apologetic look to Elise, before running off to get in their starting positions...
Yasuke, meanwhile, finished clearing things up with his team, and would return to Elise with a collected and ready look. "Alright, if you're ready, go get ready in the van. Set up by the monitors on the right side. Don't worry, the headsets are noise cancelling, so don't worry about chatter on my end, though you can still contact me and my team if you need. I'll be there in a tick." Heaven-on-High explained, pulling a large case out of the van while Elise entered and got settled in.
He'd open that case to reveal an advanced drone, which whirred to life with a bit of tinkering. Once it was hovering up in the air, Heaven-on-High entered the van and closed the door, donning his own headset beside Elise and offering a few words before they began...
"Let me know if you need me to take over at any point. They're experienced, so they'll know when you make a mistake, but they'll still need guidance if you can't handle it. Oh, and don't worry about Fang. She's a bit icy, but she's a professional... We trust her with that MAQS for a reason." The voice would come through Elise's headset, despite him being nearby. With all that done, he'd give her a firm nod, and announce the beginning of their siege.
"This is Heaven-on-High to all units. Operation Shadowed Daylight is a go."
At his command, the SAT units began moving, getting into position and ready to move and breach at any second. Meanwhile, Heaven-on-High's drone hovered around the area, searching for other targets.
"Heaven-on-High to all units. Intel was good, there's no one on watch at this time. Proceed to entry points. Bravo Team, narrow comms to Eden's Verse."
From this point on, HoH was only going to chime in if needed... That just left Elise and her team. Hyde rushed forward, his shield raised and readied, with Pounce right behind him. The blonde lad was carrying a standard-grade battering ram, perfect for knocking open the front door. Fang was right behind, keeping an eye out for any stragglers...
They'd line up at the door, ready to breach on Elise's command.
"This is Hyde, we're ready for entry. Advise on how to proceed, Eden's Verse."

She had to admit that the trio she was left to coordinate was interesting to say the least. Hyde reminded her a bit of Kirk, a tall and friendly giant who fortunately lacked Kirk's loud enthusiasm, Pounce who seemed more easygoing and friendly, and then Fang who seemed so cold and professional, but perhaps that was something one needed in the field. Pounce's joking reference about her callsign earning a brief smile from the pink-haired lass when finally the conversation shifted a little toward the subject of the little fox.
"Correct, she is quite alike to Heaven-on-High's birds, and functions better in enclosed spaces." Of course, as she expected Fang did not waste any time to remind her that she'll be guiding the group from afar through the bodycams and mics. Of course, considering her inexperience they were free to disregard her orders at any time. She nodded her head firmly in response. "I'll make sure that you will have no reason to disregard them Fang."
With the others joining the cold-blooded lass on their way to the breaching point, Elise nodded her head lightly at her mentor upon his return. Meanwhile Elise adjusted the headset lightly, and as she took her seat at the right side of the van, the words of encouragement spoken by her mentor earned a brief smile from Elise. "It is understandable that she is doubtful about me, gives me all the more reason to make sure this operation ends successfully without any casualties."
Once the command was given by Heaven on High to begin the operation and the units were ready to breach, Elise turned her focus onto the bodycams which showed the Bravo team had gathered at the entrance to the arcade. She had memorized the layout of the amusement park as much as possible by now.
"This is Eden's Verse, once you have breached the door into the arcade, advance through the lobby Hyde, Fang set up behind the counter, it's possible hostiles will approach from the barrel room to the east, the staircase leading to the second floor or the joint corridor, Pounce cover Hyde's flank and ensure none are ambushing you from the second floor. Once inside Muse should be able to detect incoming hostiles."
It was fortunate that Lyse had such a enhanced sense that she could likely notice the enemy in advance when they approached, it did give her unit a certain advantage. Feng being positioned behind the counter allowed her to cover the barrel room entrance and remain under cover from a potential attack from the staircase, while Pounce would benefit from Hyde's riot shield, after all with Hyde leading the vanguard, an attack from the joint corridor would have to get through him first, and it was doubtful that an ambush from the stairs would work in the enemy's favor when both Fang and Pounce were able to react, not to mention Lyse being able to warn them in advance.
This was it, her first real mission, her opportunity to save lives even before they were endangered. It was for this reason she had studied so hard under Heaven on High, to become a strategist who could help keep the casualties to a minimum and ensure the success of their mission was made into a reality. But for now she waited for the breach to unfold.

Bravo Team listened closely to Elise's advice, understanding the core of her strategy. It was clear that preserving the safety of her units was of vital importance, alongside trying to mitigate any tactical disadvantages. "Roger that. Pounce here should be able to any threats from above. Once we clear the lobby, keep us informed on where to head next." Hyde would relay back to Elise, before nodding to his squad-mates. In addition to what she could gather through Lyse, Elise would also have access to body camera footage from all units, letting her see things from each of their perspectives.
"I've got some nasty gas and smoke grenades, so if you think they'll do the trick, let me know." Pounce would say, as he held the battering ram and prepared to break in through the front entrance. Fang was right behind them, Hyde preparing to rush in through the door. "Alright, let's get ready to breach... We're already synced with Alpha Team..."
Fang and Hyde nodded firmly, raising their weapons and preparing to breach. "Alright Eden's Verse. We're breaching now, on go. In 3... 2...1... GO!"
With a swift and powerful movement, Pounce pulled back the battering ram and slammed it into the door, right next to the lock. The mechanism was destroyed, and the door swung open with force. Hyde immediately rushed in, Pounce dropped the battering ram and raised his weapon, following right behind the shielded man. Fang entered last, gun sweeping the room rapidly.
"POLICE, DOWN ON THE GROUND!"
They'd charge into the room to find 4 startled yakuza thugs in the entrance. Two were sitting behind the counter, one was by a couch near the stairs, a forth leaning next to the doorway to the barrel room. None were armed, but there were handguns haphazardly placed along the arcade counter, within reach of the yakuza!
The man by the stairs immediately raised his hands in the air, too far from a weapon to do anything, to startled to rush what looked like armed officers. The ones by the counter weren't so cowardly. They immediately reached for their firearms, but Hyde and Fang were quick to act. Hyde was holding his submachine gun with one hand, tucked against his shoulder with a fold-able stock. He let a quick burst of rubber bullets, pelting one of the men with pain. He clutched his gun, but tumbled back behind the counter, dazed and confused.
The second man grabbed his gun, raising it and almost firing off a shot, only to be nailed right in the head by a deadly accurate shot from Fang. The rubber bullet knocked him out cold, his unconscious body falling back quickly.
The man near the barrel room, however, quickly fell back, rushing into the room and out of sight the moment that the SAT units had entered.
Bravo Team set up their positions quickly, Fang rushing to cover by the counter, Hyde and Pounce assuming the best position to watch the stairs and lobby. However, already, things weren't going quite as planned. The other man behind the counter, battered and bruised, was still conscious. From the opposite side of the counter to Fang, he raised his weapon, firing blind shots towards the group, one even being deflected off the side of Hyde's shield. In the chaos, the man on the couch continued to cower.
"Eden's Verse, we have a remaining hostile in the entrance! Will be difficult to overwatch the Barrel Room without exposure!" Indeed, although Pounce had the benefit of Hyde's shield, if Fang popped her head out of cover to try and watch the barrel room, she might end up getting hit by the blind fire of the barely conscious Yakuza!
Not only that, but things were looking tricky, as Lyse herself would be able to detect the man who'd fled to the barrel room coming back with a friend, and another hostile coming down the arcade stairs!
Already, guidance was necessary; it was time for Elise to show what she was made of.

With her advice given Elise was ready to witness the results of her training. Pounce's comment about the grenades did not go unnoticed, Elise wordlessly making note of it in case she would have any use for those during the mission. As the countdown began and the breaching happened, Elise could feel the tension in her body, the strong slam of the battering ram destroying the locking mechanism and breaching open the door as the three of them entered the lobby.
Through the body-cams Elise could see the four Yakuza thugs that were in the lobby. The first one, a thug by the stairs immediately raised his hands in the air, a gesture of surrendering, although the ones by the counter seemed more willing to put up a fight. One of the Yakuza members was preparing to attack, but it appeared Hyde and Fang were faster, the element of surprise clearly working in their favor.
The first one ended up being pelted by a small burst of rubber bullets, tumbling back behind the counter, seemingly temporarily dazed by the attack. The second thug had been more dangerous, almost able to fire off a shot, but Fang showed her expertise with firearms, skillfully taking down the thug with the rubber bullet that hit the thug right in the head! That was one hostile down. The one on the couch was still cowering, but the threat of the situation came in the form of the thug that was hiding behind the opposite side of the counter, where he was shooting blindly at the group!
And things were getting worse, for a hostile was approaching from the stairs, and another one was coming through the barrel room with reinforcements! It was time for her to think quickly! "Pounce, toss a gas grenade at the barrel's room entrance, hostiles are approaching from there, and your grenade likely will flush out the remaining hostile behind the counter. Fang, prepare to fire as soon as they get out of hiding if the smoke gets too close to you, relocate, they shouldn't be able to advance through the barrel room while the gas grenade is obstructing their passage, meanwhile, prepare for an incoming hostile from the staircase."
For a moment she remained to look through the bodycams, thinking for a moment when finally she spoke. "Make sure that cowering hostile near the couch won't be able to get the drop on any of you, I'd suggest cuffing them if you have handcuffs, else Render them unconscious, you don't want the risk of leaving them undealt with."
Elise raised a hand to her chin, looking at the map she had on display on her handheld device and tried to think ahead for the next course of action. With the barrel room blocked, they likely would try to advance through the regular corridor, which had Hyde watching it with his shield, so overall she hoped her strategy would work. It was a little bit like those strategy games she used to play, but unlike them, they were much more serious in nature, since here human lives were in her hands!

The sound of gunfire became a chorus within the abandoned amusement park, and much of it would've been audible from even Elise and HoH's position. Well, it would have been, were they not wearing their noise-cancelling headsets. Elise would still say Heaven-on-High in a very serious mode himself, as he guided his own team through the not-so-fun house...
Meanwhile, Elise would have her work cut out for her right from the get-go, with a complicated situation in the main arcade entrance. The difficulty of this breaching point was that there were plenty of positions for new threats to emerge from, and if a unit couldn't lock it down with overwatch, you had to get creative. Elise did just that, ordering Pounce to make use of one of his grenades to flush out and stun the hostiles coming from the Barrel Room!
"Got it, tossing a Pepper Grenade!"
Quickly grabbing and removing the pin from a small, cylindrical device on his persons, Pounce quickly tossed the bomb from behind Hyde, able to use his position to not stick himself out of cover while also landing it right inside the barrel room. It quickly began spraying out a fine white gas that filled the Barrel Room with a special chemical mix. Those caught by it would experience irritated skin, coughing, pain in their eyes and throat, and great difficulty breathing. It would make them essentially feel like they'd just bathed in hot sauce.
Being an expert in its usage, some of the gas would leak out into the lobby, doing as Elise had said and affecting those behind the counter too! The last yakuza behind the counter would break into a fit of coughing while his head was out of cover, allowing Hyde the chance to finish him off with well-placed shot.
The moment he was taken care of, Fang peaked up from cover, aiming her gun at the Barrel Room entrance right as the two men within came stumbling out. Choking and suddenly blinded, they were easy prey for this Tiger. Fang unloaded her remaining clip against the two of them, a battering barrage that left both men unconscious.
Pounce, meanwhile, turned his gun towards the stairs, letting off a quick burst as one man came into view. The Yakuza quickly jumped back up, and after briefly seeing the aftermath of the fight in the lobby, he was quickly deterred, and went back up the stairs as quickly as he'd came down.
The group remained tense for a few more moments, before it became clear their job in the lobby was done.
"Area secure, let's clear the rest of the floor." Fang uttered calmly, stepping back from where the gas was finally dying down.
"Works like a charm, doesn't it? Only problem is my Pepper Bombs will affect us too, so we gotta use em sparingly. I got a couple left on me now, Eden's Verse." Pounce would clarify his own tools, while Hyde, ushered the remaining Yakuza over to him. The cowardly criminal was quick to drop to his knees, while Hyde tied his hands with zip ties.
"Heaven-on-High's combat birds have this place locked down from the outside. We just need to clear it from within. Since they know they're trapped, they'll likely set up ambushes. We should be careful clearing the remaining rooms on this floor." Hyde would give a bit more advice to Eden's Verse, before the team formed up again and prepared to move out.
"On your lead, Eden's Verse. We can move carefully, we've got them locked down, so there's need to ru-"
No sooner did Fang say that, than a voice calling out was suddenly heard, coming from further within the 1st Floor...
"HEEEEELP!"

It was odd how in the past the sound of gunfire would have terrified her, however in the development of those last years Elise felt it was tuned out from her in a way. Gunfire was no longer terrifying, it was a telltale of conflict, and depending on who heard it could be considered a weapon of information to exploit. Of course, one of the important aspects of breaching, was that upon the creation of this point of infiltration, it made them lose the opportunity to move silently. It was different from the silent and stealthy approach that she and Kiryu-sensei had used, a approach that relied on mobility, quick movement and the element of surprise. By all means the enemy should not know they were there.
A breaching was entirely the opposite, and while one might argue that it meant one should take the opportunity given by the element of surprise to go in guns blazing, Elise saw that not as an option. While the unit was well-trained, the enemy had the advantage of numbers, and she did promise each of them would return home tonight. This meant that she had to act defensively and yet due to the large amount of positions new hostiles could emerge from, she had to put her creativity to the test. Fortunately her tactic worked like a charm, using one of his grenades, Pounce had flushed out and stunned the hostiles who were hiding behind the lobby counter and approaching from the barrel room.
Meanwhile as Fang skillfully neutralized the remaining hostiles that came from the room and Pounce caused the Yakuza upstairs to retreat, Elise listened carefully on the chatter of the field operatives. It seemed the area had been secured, and Pounce reminded her that they only had a few pepper bombs left, not to mention they would affect themselves also. However, a sense of urgency would soon overcome her when she heard a cry for help from further inside. A hostage?! Initially she was about to call for the unit to go after the call, but then something stopped her: They were on a mission, and it was quite likely that the Yakuza would set up an ambush, possibly even use the hostage as a decoy.
What could she do? What should she do? Internally she had memorized the layout of the building, but this type of intel was a new- "Heaven-on-high, there is a possibility of hostages within the building, we just heard a call for aid."
Elise felt her breathing grow calmer, slower, a trick she had learned in the past. People often were taught to try to focus on the rhythm of your breathing to calm down, but for Elise, she could also do it in order to focus more.
"It's likely they plan to use a potential hostage to catch us by surprise, probably set up an ambush." Think Elise, how could they prevent casualties, while making sure about there being a hostage? Well... "Yakuza consider their kin family, don't they... Hyde, ask the Yakuza if there are hostages inside the building?"
Once he had answered she would resume. "Now gag him, worst case we'll use him to make the remaining Yakuza hesitate. Surely they won't just shoot one of their own?" Not an ideal solution, but till Heaven on High could confirm, or they found out for themselves about the identity of this cry for help? It was the best thing she could think of... "Proceed toward the direction of the voice, but be careful, I know the urgency of the situation, but we might as well be walking into a trap... As soon as I get more intel about potential hostages... Lyse run a scan of the nearby area, do you catch anything that might look like a hostage?"

While the team had cleared the first room, things were only going to get more difficult from there. The truth of the matter was that although they were an effective squad of well-armed officers, Tiger Squad was ultimately not nearly as powerful as their Pro Hero counterparts. This was a precision operation, one for which the current Heroes were net yet trained for, and therefore also one that had a much smaller margin of error. Now that there were known, they'd have to fight on without the element of surprise, where ambushes and interruptions were everywhere. Missteps could not be afforded...
And that created conflicts when there were unexpected elements introduced into the fray.
After having cleared the room, and looking to investigate the rest of the floor, the team heard the frantic cry of someone on the same floor as them. The group quickly pointed their weapons down the hall, startled and uncertain. "Sounded like it came from further in... Eden's Verse, we may have civilians, please advise." Fang stated seriously. The unexpected was one of the most dangerous things for them, so how they dealt with it was of the utmost importance.
As Elise informed Heaven-on-High, the man looked briefly surprised, but nodded firmly, relaying the information to his own team.
The team was hunkered down in the arcade, waiting for their orders. They were unlikely to be attacked, given that the Yakuza were best off taking a defensive posture. Hyde was the first to receive his orders, the calm man quickly crouching down to the bound criminal and speaking plainly and quickly. "If you got any ideas who that just was, I'll be sure to the let the prosecutor know you helped." The persuasion was targeted, but effective.
"P-Probably some bitch... B-Boss likes to make some pretty ones take fuckin' loans for the drugs, he drags 'em back here when they don't pay..."
"Thanks." No sooner did Hyde retrieve one of the bandages from his gear, and use it to gag a quickly confused Yakuza. That told them all they needed to know for now.
With things uncertain, Elise had them continue moving forward carefully, right toward the cry for help. "Understood. Hyde, take point." Once again, the team assumed their forward position, with Hyde's riot shield providing them cover while they moved down the joint corridor. If Lyse should scan the area, she'd likely find several things ahead of them, depending on the extent of her capacities. In the drug lab ahead, there were a couple of Yakuza members, both hiding on the floor, though neither were armed. These drug synthesizers weren't prepared for combat, after all. However, a bit ahead of that, in another room, there were two people. One, knelt on the ground, and the other, standing behind them with a handgun to their head.
The team walked within view of the windows to the drug lab, peering within. "Eden's Verse, I'm spotting movement in the lab. We can focus on the hostage, but we might be at risk if we don't secure them... What's your call?" No sooner did he utter that, than did another scream, this time seemingly of pain as it accompanied the sound of a strike, come from the room ahead.
Haste, or caution - how would they proceed?
