Feng's eyes shined brightly in excitement as Aquitaine explained what they needed to do. The prospect and goal of completing this course in seven minutes while carrying a dummy is something to get really excited over. She prided herself on her speed but this is a completely different beast as she doesn't know what is actually coming until she gets there. Even rookie pro difficulty sounds like a challenge and adding on they’re racing her fellow peer. It makes it even more exciting to say the least.
But one glance at her can already tell that she is brimming with energy and itching to get in there. The cat ears on her head were moving on their own accord and it added to the rather playful outlook she was seeing the situation as. Was it her taking the test way too lightly? Possibly but her speed and strength were her strong suits and she enjoyed challenges like this. Adding a few more notches of difficulty to the scale isn't going to make this any harder than it already was.
Looking to Yumi with those same shining eyes that were brimming with energy.” Looks like this is gonna be a daily thing we got-nya do if we wanna graduate. How do you feel about this meow-verlous challenge that is set before us?” she asked her friend as the cat ears on her head twitched for a moment. For a moment she thought about the entire situation on its own and then tried to figure out how to increase the stakes...and then a simple idea popped in her head.“ How about a wager for this first one?” she quickly asked as she looked at Fort Slog and then back at her friend. “Loser with buys the winner any food item they want and deciding factor is how much progress one makes.Clearing it means an instant win... does that sound fair or impawsible?” she suggests to her friend as she quickly stretches her limbs to their best to get ready for the mighty obstacle course. Knowing Geist and how things are set up, it might as well be the most messed up version of a jungle gym that only the most insane can find in going up against.
Of course the first group to go up is Kirk and Tsuji’s and that gave her time to charge up. Stretching, doing a few practice kicks to the air, more stretching, neck cracking to loosen up, all the work as they waited for their turn to get up. She was more eager than anxious as this was going to be a wall she needs to climb if she wants to graduate and this is a challenge she was always familiar with. Against her friend and racing partner, she is at a distinct disadvantage but this is less a serious competition and more a friendly race between two friends. After England, she needs a fun race in her hands or she is going to regret it for the rest of her days.
After some time had passed, their team was called up and she of course jogged her way up.and went through the doors. The first few moments were filled with excitement as she wondered what the course was going to be like. She expects only the best the school can afford when it comes to making something this grand and of course she was not disappointed. Of course they also gave her a dummy to carry through the course, recalling her first lesson at UA and how roundabout this is for her. She imagined a dumb hat on the aforementioned dummy and she gave it a quick name off the top of her head to give him some personality. Dusting him off first and giving him his proper respect. She walked into the first floor and her eyes shined even brighter than before.
The playground set before them was a stunning recreation of a city overtook by disaster. Various alleyways, streets littered with debris, high walls and buildings, all the things that make Feng excited to just see. It was a maze that civilization has chosen to live in and it was something that she sees as a challenge. That or she just enjoys the feeling of being tall...but that could be the ears doing that. It's a grand and amazing scene that will obviously become familiar to her in the future when she graduates. The first rule for her is to never doubt herself and the rest will come to her. Confidence is key and the situation is her lock! Or something like that, catchy sayings are always hard to do when one sees a place like this.
Some last minute stretches to make sure she doesn't pull anything and a mischievous grin grew on her face. She looked to her friend and simply said, “Nyu-mi check this out!” as she chucked the dummy into the air ahead and then quickly jumped after it. Catching it mid air and then using her quirk, she air dashed to a roof as she opened her run with that. “On silent cat feet as they always say!”, she remarked as she headed deeper into the Maze. Hopping from roof to roof and using her sight to try and discern the exit. "Oi Feng, you think you can do th- o why the hell do you have cat ears on for this?" Fei chimed in as Feng jumped from roof to roof. "Felt like it.", was all she can reply with as she stepped on a trigger.
Then the chaos began as she was being shot at by a variety of villains from various areas but she paid them no mind as she needed to avoid getting hit with her civilian. Feng was keen on racing through but since this is her first time, she is going to run into a few snags on it. But it was nothing she cant handle as she has some experience jumping through the city rooftops. The issue is finding the exit to the next floor.

Carrying a dummy for this run huh? Well that Yumi wasn’t so thrilled about. The nature of her quirk meant she shouldn’t really use it while trying to transport civilians but.. she doubted they were running this entirely realistically. She just had to carry the thing on her back, easing the dummy’s legs over the sides of her waist and tucking her arms around them. That should work well enough…
“Eh I doubt they’ll get us doing it daily.” She’d reply back. While it definitely looked like it’d be a regular thing, to do this daily would really effect their training in other areas rather negatively. Afterall there was more to being a hero than just hyper-focusing on a specific field like this. Yumi, with the dummy still propped on her back, stretched out her legs a bit, leaning across to either side. Feng started to arrange some form of bet and Yumi couldn’t help but scoff. “Nah sorry hun. I ain’t about to take your money like that.~” She teased with a bit of confidence, hoping she wasn’t coming off too egotistical. “I mean if you insist, I’m not about to turn down a free meal…” She responded cheekily.
Yumi charged up her quirk, the blue coating of electrical energy flowing over her skin and getting her ready to move. Given she had the dummy, both extra weight and limiting the paths her electricity could take she’d have to re-arrange herself and how she flew, but nothing she hadn’t trained for in the past. A few test sparks and she was pretty ready to go in all honesty. Once they got called up Yumi wandered inside and shifted about as she took in the view of the place. She wasn’t entirely sure what being under sensei’s quirk’s influence would be like but she at least felt as energized as ever for the moment.
Once they were given the dumy she adjusted it on her back like she’d planned and just made sure it was resting in a comfortable position for her. If she got told off it wasn’t the ‘proper technique’ she’d just point out the bias of giving her a dummy to begin with, given she couldn’t rescue anyone WHILE using her quirk, leaving her at a huge disadvantage if proper civilian care was the expectation out of this first trial. “Sooo… what’s with the cat theme today?” She’d ask just as the event seemed to start, watching Feng burst off, throwing her dummy ahead of her and catching it. Jesus if Yumi was gonna get told off for handling her Dummy wrong in any way Feng was gonna get a much bigger earful after that… still, she shook her head with a chuckle, starting with a light run into the scene before kicking off and starting to fly after Feng.
With the shots being fired by the fake villain hiding spots, Yumi ducked down low and stuck to the ground, trying to expand the natural output she had and the repulsive force it put out around her. A good chunk of the projectiles just couldn’t’ keep up with her to begin with, but as she kept so low to the ground anything that came close quickly ricocheted around her, the curve of their trajectory heavily exaggerated by her repulsive field.

“I’ll explain after the race nya!”, she replied to Yumi out loud as she ran from roof to roof as she recalled her question before she jumped off. Flipping and all the matter of sorts as she moved quickly through the course. But it came with the issue of finding a proper exit since it wasn't marked anywhere so it was a challenge to look whilst being shot at.
“I spy with my little nya-ye, something that looks like an exit”, she said to herself as she jumped to the lower roof and slid down a slope. Shots were a bit hard to dodge with a dummy in hand but she managed to take all the shots instead of her companion.
As she got closer and closer to the edge of the roof, she activated her quirk once again to give herself some air time as she caught a glance at what can be assumed to be an exit.... or something like that due to it just being bright lights in a formation. “Bullseye!|”, she exclaimed as she used a finger gun to indicate the direction. One more activated blasted her in the right direction as she saw Yumi in the distance to her right. She waved at her as energetically as she could before she went back into action. She was confident in her assumption as she ran towards that part of the floor.
More spins in the air to dodge more shits as she blasted herself at the direction of the assumed exit of the room. She was of course getting faster as she became a red blur as she jetted her way towards the path out. A bit short as she landed on the floor and skidded her way towards a group of ‘dummy thugs’ as they shot at her. In a last second reaction, she threw the dummy into the air as she ate the volley of bullets, the dummy took no damage but she was going to have a few bruises on her as she kicked them aside and caught the dummy as it nearly fell on the floor. But the pain still stung as she was being way to flashy with her movements. A part of her really wants to race Yumi and another part of her wonders why she wore the ears in the first place. But these questions will be saved for later as they were still quite a distance away from the exit of the room or what can be assumed to be the exit. Her sense of direction wasn't the best in terms of her peers, but she had to think of something to be ahead of the game. But there was no signs of where the exit was aside from being told there was an exit.
With zero clue as to what else the room has in store, she gunned as fast as she could towards a ruined street as she found herself getting shot at even more. Dodging and weaving in between shots aimed at her in quick succession a she inched closer and closer. her eyes were glowed as she remained focused on moving forwards and protecting the dummy, at the cost of taking a few stray shots to her chest and legs as she ran. Gritting her teeth as she got within reach of some cover, she put more effort as she went full speed ahead and jumped. Skidding across the asphalt and landing behind cover where she can hear the pellets hitting the metal.
“Gotcha! Nyaow those shots hurt”, she mentioned as she rubbed the parts where she got shot in pain. She peeked out of cover to see what the actual lights were and to her surprise..it wasnt a exit but a neon sign that was part of the landscape. So it wasnt the exit and now she is pinned in a worse area than she was previously for jumping the gun

(just a short post to get me back in the flow, sorry)
Yumi was having a hard time balancing the dummy on her back and the speeds she had to maintain in these streets. The jagged turns adding to the chaos of the motions and the flow of the situation, taking a sharp turn into a less fired upon alleyway when the street ahead seemed to be getting too dangerous, needing to re-adjust her plans here. She’d spent so long focusing on her specialties as a combat hero that when she finally got a chance to be a rescue hero here, she didn’t really have the training necessary to juggle all the elements at hand. She let out a long, slow breath to try and calm her nerves on the matter while she just re-evaluated the situation.
“Okay… having this thing on my back leaves it more open to bullet fire… even with my reflective field it’s still the most dangerous place so…” Yumi got to adjusting her position with the dummy civilian, easing it’s plush legs around her waist, another slow breath as she held it to her front instead and made sure it was roughly in a secure position as she got ready to move again. “That should be better… just gotta stick to the back streets.” And that was the plan going forward. She’d still be somewhat under fire but she needed to keep moving to stay in line with Feng. From the sounds earlier it seemed like Feng had at least some idea of where the stairs to the next floor where so Yumi pushed herself to get back in the game after her brief pause. With her mobility and her speed she was more than capable of winning this, it was just juggling the dummy in the mix that left her a bit off kilter.

Feng sat there in cover in the midst of the gunfire while she kept a stern expression but internally she was screaming. She may have screwed herself on this for being too careless in her approach and assumptions on how this entire floor worked. Rushing through things without giving it a proper look and now here she is, being shot at like in a old school action flick. A part of her wonders if she should attempt to use one of the dismantled cars as a shield and projectile but the dummy remained an issue. If they shot at the dummy or they even hurt the guy, it would be no better than doing it to a real person. So keeping both and her safe was perhaps more nerve wracking in her life.
Ideas bounced around in her head as she looked around and checked to see what else she can use to her advantage, which helped her a bit since she can see a fire escape, a few ruined cars and a trail that can hopefully lead to the exit. Feng took a deep breath and gripped her dummy tight as she used her quirk to blast herself into the air and throw a few dozen fireballs at the various sharpshooters while in the air. As she was finished she activated her quirk in two short bursts to quickly get to self to the roof and out of the way. But her landing wasn't as fancy as she thought as she rolled on impact as she protected the dummy from harm.
She coughed for a few moments as she quickly got up and ran in the same way but as she ran her eyes began to notice a recurring trend of various places labeled exit but all of them don't have a proper sign or anything. This place is a labyrinth and every single dead end leads to a few more bruises as she has zero idea on where she is as she stopped herself mid run before she ran off the edge of a building. She took a deep breath as she closed her eyes to gather some of her thoughts. But she proceeded to stomp her foot on the ground as she yelled as loud as she could.
“WHERE THE HELL IS THE EXIT-NYA!?”

With her dummy situated in a more secure position, rather than Feng who was running out into the main streets trying to battle the situation head on, Yumi was using her speed and mobility to try and move swiftly through the back alleys were there was less direct danger. Sure, it wasn’t without risk, but the main idea was likely that they needed to cover their dummy and keep it protected as they moved towards the exit. Periodically, Yumi would lay down the dummy somewhere secure before bursting up towards the ceiling, trying to get a birds eye view to make sure she was still on the right track without risking the dummy, and good thing too as anytime she showed herself at least a few of the training shooters would be taking shots at her with every given chance, Yumi cursing under her breath as she came back down to retrieve her dummy.
Needing to break through one of the main streets Yumi remained low in an alleyway, trying to get some sign of where the exit to the next floor may be before glancing up to Feng as she rushed through the air trying to take out some of the dummies. Looking to a car nearby, Yumi shot out an electrical surge, wrenching the roof of the car off and flinging it into the air, covering Feng from a series of bulletfire, trying to catch her attention and beckoning her to come down into the back alley where it was, at leas temporarily, safe, catching her breath for a moment as Feng hopefully joined her.
“Hey, you found a way out yet? You seemed pretty gung ho before like you found something I havn’t been able to find a way out yet myself…” Yumi kept her Dummy up against the wall while she peaked out around the corner, trying to protect it like a real person.

The electrical surge came out of nowhere as Feng had a rather shocked expression on her face as she saw it happen as it gave her some well needed cover from the gunfire. She looked to Yumi in a mixture of both gratitude and annoyance as she joined back up with her dummy untouched.
“I have zero clue on where I was going, I assumed it was clearly marked but I may have been catfished on that detail”, Feng replied as she ignited her leg. She left her dummy on the ground for a moment as she quickly did a handstand and got out of cover to do something to take care of the present problem. Break danced her way into launching a flaming projectile at the remaining annoyances before getting back into cover and picking up her dummy. It was stylish, in the moment and ion reflex as she was more worried about running out of time.
“That may have done something but not gonna count on it...are we losing Nyumi?”, She asked as she kept her dummy safe as she peeked out the corner as well. A stray bullet with whiz by as she let out an audible curse as she got back into cover.
"Im half tempted to ask if we should just work together and get to the goal...but don't know if that's allowed…”

"Nyu-?" She shook her head, not getting into the girl's current weird cat obsession while they were taking fire. When she rushed out to fire off bursts of flame at the distractions firing on them it seemed to slow down the rate of fire, taking a slow breath as she tried to consider her options. She could fly into the air and get a good look at where the exit could be but that'd open her up to a lot more fire from all across the fake city. She lay her dummy down to one side in turn, thinking on it for a moment...
"I should be able to find a real exit if I can get enough height out of a flight but that'll really open me up... tell ya what. We work together for a second and then we're back on our own. Head back out there, draw fire and take out as many of them as you can, i'll head into the sky and make sure I get a good look at where we're going!"
She'd wait for Feng to get out there and do her thing, making sure both their dummies were in a secure, safe place before bursting up towards the sky, breaking out across the skyline of the cityscape and managing to avoid what few bullets were still being sent her way with Feng's distraction, amber eyes looking out across the city. There were some clear fake exits but...!
"This way!" She yelled out over her shoulder, pointing to the southwest corner of the arena, absolutely certain she could see stairs through the open exit. With their deal struck and her end upheld however, they were back on their own, Yumi rushing back down into the alleyway she'd left her dummy in, picking it up and rushing at full speed to the exit.

“Agreed...plus this is our first run of the damn place so might as well learn but I can always push back the race to another date”, Feng handed Yumi her dummy as she got into a ready position. Her breathes were slowed as she waited for the window to open up; but in the back of her head she could feel a twitching urge that would go off every so often. She ignored it as she blasted out of cover as the gunfire rained down on her end.
Of course she dodged with ease but a few bullets did graze her as her usual as it was impossible to dodge the ever present hail of bullets on her. But it served to make her more observant and faster as she movements got better as she dodged. It felt like years as she dodged each one but she snapped back to reality as Yumi called out to her as she found an exit.
Eyes dart at Yumi as she can see her running with her dummy in hand. “Should have seen that coming...oh well”, she saidin her mind as she quickly looped back to her dummy as she kicked a fireball at the car as it began to give off smoke. The haze gave her some cover as she picked up her dummy as she followed behind Yumi who was gunning for the exit. She can hear the gunfire in the distance coming alive as she slipped underneath cars and hopped from walls to dodge the coming barrage of bullets as she held onto her dummy who was getting a bit roughed up.

With her normal magnetic repulsion and the sheer speed with which she was gunning for the exit she spotted it was more than easy for Yumi to bypass a majority of the gun fire. She heard an eruption of sorts behind her but didn’t think she’d seen any dummies or training guns set up with a rocket launcher. A quick glance managed to put her mind at ease though, letting her get the sense that the eruption had been from Feng’s own flames, letting out a soft sigh of relief before coming down towards the ground, placing her dummy behind her against the wall and raising her arms up ahead of her, facing the street she’d just been running from.
“Hey Feng! Move it!”
While she couldn’t cover the girl while she was moving at such speeds she could give her a save haven to work towards. Sparks started to fill the air around Yumi, making it look like the whole places was gonna make Feng’s hair stand on end if she stepped into it, but even as the guns aimed at Yumi the bullets seemed to go way off course, Yumi effectively creating a dense bubble of electro-magnetic interference strong enough to hold the bullets off. It was an intense output however, and she couldn’t maintain it for long without blowing some blood vessel or another.

Feng was of course relieved when she saw Yumi down the street as she did her thing as a bubble of electricity formed around her in a bid to give her some time to catch up. Though the banter remained normal as she replied as normally did. Which was mostly friendly banter that can be exchanged between friends...akin to a day at the track but more bullets and more running than the average.
“What do you think I’m doing?! I’m running like I don't have nine lives here”
Feng replied with dummy in hand as she ran from the hail of gunfire that resumed as she knew her flames wouldn't hold them off for long. She pushed her legs to the limit but it would take a few seconds for her speed to pick up. He hairs on the back of her neck...no actually their hair started to get a bit frizzy as she walked into the field as she saw bullets stop in their tracks. She had no time to be impressed as she pushed through as she made a mad dash towards Yumi.
“Thanks! NOW LETS FIND THAT EXIT AND GET OUTTA HERE”, she said to Yumi because she knows that all hell will break loose once again once the field goes back down.

Yumi was gritting her teeth trying to hold up such an intense field of electro magnetic forces. It required a very precise and every changing output, and since it came from her muscles it was like trying to rhythmically flex everything at once in an oddly specific pattern, definitely an exhausting effort that left her sweating, though with her electrical coating sizzling every droplet of sweat on her forehead it would be pretty hard to tell. Regardless, it seemed to manage the desired effect, helping Feng get through albeit with frizzy hair and another weird reference to the cat ears she was wearing, Yumi letting down the field with an exhausted groan as she picked up her Dummy and got running again.
“O-okay I can feel teacher’s quirk running off already so we better push this while we can.” Even as she climbed the stairs though she could feel her quirk flickering, a mess of sparks briefly revealing her normal red hair and fleshy tones under the coating of blue energy, catching herself on the railing and letting out a few heavy breaths, shaking her head to try and get her focus back in the game before she continued to climb the stairs.
(we've been doing this for 5 rounds, we can either call it here or ask Webby to give us the second floor and go for 2 more rounds.)
