He couldn't believe he pulled it off! He won round two! Desmoshi had been on a roll in the tourney, showing that his hard training was paying off. Berker really did give him a run for his money, but Desmoshi's stamina did pay off in the end. He hoped that once Berker had improved his stamina, they could have a true rematch. To be honest, the tourney to Desmoshi was more here to test improvement, not skill. He felt like the next time he faced of against Berker, he won't have such an easy time beating the Monkey King.
'I’m surprised that you got that one,' Ame said in his mind. 'He definitely had you in the mobility department.’ Ame was right. Desmoshi still felt less agile than Berker, even with the speed that he had. ‘Something to train for in the future,’ Desmoshi replied to his spirit partner. ‘For now, let’s just enjoy the time we have with friends.’
Desmoshi and Berker made their way to Mizuki and Yang, who managed to come down and see the festivities. Desmoshi felt like he and Berker did a pretty good job out there. But he wasn’t too sure if he would meet more people like Iida out on the tournament floor. “Good job out there man,” Desmoshi said to Berker. “This match was actually more pleasant than my last one. And we definitely have to do a rematch in the future.”

Mizuki watched as her brother and Berker exited the arena. Her newfound friend and brother put up an excellent match and were proud of both of them. Mizuki could tell they were lacking in a few things. But she knew if those two train more, they could be the top of their class. Still, she couldn’t help but feel that the other opponents were going to be a lot more difficult.
Another thing that Mizuki noticed with Berker and Desmoshi is that they were different from the other students. Where the other students were focused on strength, Desmoshi and Berker had them outclass with skill and ingenuity. It was a shame that they fought each other. Mizuki would have like to see them fought other opponents first instead fighting so early.
Yang had come down from the bleachers and had stood with Muzuki since the start of the match. They talk more after the whole meditation incident in Yang’s room on her first day. They actually had a few things in common. They like quiet space and time alone. They didn’t mind being with loud people. It was just time alone felt good for some people. Berker was just like them as well, but with Yang, Mizuki felt a little bit… more. She still hadn’t told people about her sexuality yet, afraid that the school might turn her away if they knew differently. On top of that, she didn’t know if Yang felt the same way.
She heard her brother talking to Berker about doing a rematch after the tourney. “That would be a no,” Mizuki answered in a deadpan voice. “You still would need to recover after this. And then, you can have your rematch if you like.” She turned to Berker as her brother gave a disappointed “aw man”, giving Berker a small smile. “You did good out there Berker. I had no idea you could could do all that. That was pretty cool.”

That was kinda sad. While his lost didn't make him all that sad, it also didn't made him feel... normal. As he and Desmo made their way back, he thought about the time he learned about his Quirk. That moon light... That beach... The furs he grow at the time, his tail... The faces of his family. His sister... Why did he decided to come here? He thought about that. He did not not actually came here by his own desires. Sure he was happy to see his quirk, sure was willing to learn to how to use it to crush villains. But he could do it by other means too. He could go to any other school too.... It was his family who send him here to get rid of him so them and his sister can live a normal life. So was him becoming Hero was just a coincidence? A chance given to him by his family not wanting him? How pathetic that was. But at the same time how interesting it was... The monkey king was just an unwanted person after all, just like Berker himself. Maybe Berker had more common things with him other than his Quirk. While Berker thought about that he felt a bit ashamed. If they really had more common, the king would be pretty disappointed wouldn't he? Person who dare to follow him was weak after all. How could he follow the king who raided heavens all alone, defeated the great generals of heavens all alone when he was weak? Thinking about this he also realized another things. His hero name... He decided that long time ago he'd call himself "Deimos." The god of terror. He'd give terror and dread to soldiers. He was more feared then enemy soldiers at the time. He decided to call himself that and yet... Just as he was thinking about it his thoughts came to halt when he saw Mizuki and another girl he didn't recognized. It looked like he had to continue on this on future.
"Yeah good job. Sure, let's try again in the future." Berker give a genuine looking smile, even though it was more on the fake side. He didn't wanted to bother other people. He was fine dealing with anything on his own.
"Hello both of you." Berker said as to girls. "Thanks." Another smile. "I had no idea you could do all that." So... others didn't expected that kind of performance from him. Even though he was not sure about his mobility too, it was still kinda sad to hear it. Even though later she said it was cool. "By the way i'm Berker, we didn't meet before." Berker talked to the girl.

Yang was invited to come see a match. It would be her first experience spectating a match. She knew eventually she will have to participate in these matches right? She made a mental note to get another weapon that was made specifically for training. Wasn't there a wooden sword that she used to practice with? She wondered if there was a place that made those swords near by? She didn't ponder long because she saw Mizuki in the arena. The fight was about to begin. Yang took her seat next to Mizuki. She had brought some air popped organic popcorn that she brought for her and Mizuki to share. The match began. Now she knew Mizuki had an elemental quirk thanks to sparing with her previously but now she knew that Desmoshi also had it. She didn't know siblings could have the same type of quirks. She wanted to ask them but she probably would later. As the matched progressed, a winner was eventually announced. It was Desmoshi. Yang knew that he was strong but she thought the person he was fighting with was also strong. It wasn't long before Desmoshi and Berker came over towards Mizuki and Yang. Yang just started at Desmoshi as he was already talking about a rematch. Luckily Mizuki had enough sense to tell him why that would be a horrible idea. It seemed like it bothered Berker that he lost but maybe Yang was seeing things? Who knows, she quickly shrugged that thought off as Berker introduced himself. She waved awkwardly and wasn't really expecting to have conversation with other people. She reached into her pockets for some scrap paper and a pen. Luckily she had just that. She wrote something down. "Hi my name is Yang. I am mute. You both fought well." It was weird, she could speak but still felt very uneasy speaking around anyone new like Berker. It wasn't anything personal against him but she was always just this cautious around new people.

Desmoshi took it all in as "congratulations" were thrown to both combatants. "Thanks, you guys," Desmoshi said sheepishly with a smile on his face. He then turned to the bracket board. There were still some matches going and he realized that he was the first to finish... again. Maybe that was a good or bad thing. However, the competitors he would have to fight next would be a lot tougher than what he has been facing. The question was could he make it all the way to the final round.
Desmoshi looked back to the group with a contemplating look. "I feel kind of weird about all this. This is suppose to be a competition to show what we are capable of and how far we came." He put his hand under his chin, giving the whole event some thought. "But it seems like more people are fighting to prove to others that they are hero material." To be honest, Desmoshi didn't care too much for the crowd. Yes, he wanted to show what he had learned and gained through his experiences with UA. However, it was more to show himself that he was capable. The crowd was not their during his training. They wouldn't put in the sweat and blood to make him better. He did all that on his own. He looked at Berker. "I thought you had me, man. I wasn't sure how to approach our fight. But I did still enjoy it. What about you?"

Mizuki was happy for her brother's win and proud of Berker for holding his own in the match. If Berker had known there was more to his quirk, he would have surely gotten the win over Desmoshi. But again this was not about winning or losing as so much about testing one's skill in combat situations. Mizuki did not feel comfortable with the idea of Desmoshi continuing the rounds due to the other strong people in the line-up. However, she knew that Desmoshi wouldn't back down from the challenge.
"So Berker," Mizuki said looking at her friend. "What's your plan now that you know what you are capable of?" Surely, Berker had an idea of what to improve on. She admired his strategic approach to the situation at hand, which could make him an interesting rescue hero on the frontlines. He didn't seem like he wanted to do it for the glory or even for the recognition of being strong. At least, that was what Mizuki got the sense of during her time with Berker. "If you need a training partner, I would be more than happy to help." She pointed towards Desmoshi. "It took a month to get Desmsohi at a comfortable point." That was true. Mizuki had been helping her brother improve on his quirk more. Although he loved to use fire and earth, Mizuki had felt like he could benefit from the water and wind portion quirk to move efficiently on the battlefield. She waited on Berker's response.

"Thank you." Berker said to the Yang. After that Berker turned to Desmoshi who was pondering about people's idea of joining the tournament. Or rather the way they handle it. "Well yeah, people not only in Japan but all over the world watching us. We have to show us we can be heroes they want to see. Also some people have to prove it to their families, that they made the right choice." Second part also applied to Berker. Was his family watching his match? Or did they not even know he was fighting? He was sure his sister was watching. He hoped that he lived to her expectations. "I had fun, i was sure i was gonna crack open your skull with that hit" Berker laughed. It was some serious hit, if he could move away from that he had to be really tough. Or thick headed but that was not nice to think about of course.
Mizuki's question was something Berker was thinking since his first match with Matt. He wasn't sure of the answer. There were lots of things he wanted to do, he wanted to improve. Yet he knew that he could not do everything. He had to focus on his path, but which path he had to chose? "I'm not sure yet, i'll think about it once i cooled my head off." His speed was off, his stamina was off... Perhaps he would focus on this ones? He wasn't sure yet. He had to go take a cold shower to focus on thinking.
"So... What are you all up to? Want to go grab something to eat?" he asked to the group. "Even though i'm not sure if i can eat it with this jaw for time being." he smiled again. Desmoshi's punches was hitting like a truck, as you'd expect from martial artist.

Yang Yang was indeed impressed with the show she just watched. It made her wonder how far she would be able to take her quirk before she collapsed from exhaustion. She wasn't sure but when she heard Mizuki's invite to Berker to train, it made Yang wonder if she could tag along? Of course at this point Yang wasn't sure if she wanted to tag along to train or for something more.
Even though Yang had just met the Haymaker twins, she felt as though she had some sort of connection with one of them especially. But she wasn't sure what nor did she know how to bring it up. It was fairly embarrassing that she couldn't explain this feeling. It was something new and it made her feel awkward. However until she figure out what exactly she was feeling and have the courage to inform that person, she will just keep it to herself.
She flushed from her own thoughts and realized that Berker had invited them to eat. Then he made a joke about how hard Desmoshi hit him in the jaw from the fight earlier. She blinked and nodded to the idea. Of course she was probably the only one in the group that was vegetarian and hoped where ever they went, it would have options for her eat that weren't salad. She didn't mind going out and enjoying herself but usually most places don't have a lot of options for vegetarians or vegans. She wrote something on the scrap paper and showed it to everyone. "Food sound great however I am a vegetarian."
This way now they can attempt to plan with Yang's accommodation or if it would be too hard Yang could dip out and hang out with them on another day. She was used to being alone what would one more day hurt?

Desmoshi had to agree with Berker on that one. People wanted to see the worth of the new heroes taking over in the next two to three years. No one wanted a bunch of teenagers with dangerous superpowers running around with some type of former training. No one wanted anyone to run around with them at all. It was important to the public that they knew UA was training students to properly use their powers and protect humanity as a whole. Plus, it was a fun way to meet other students and showcase talents to one another.
"No need to worry," Desmoshi replied when Berker commented on the hit to the head. He tapped his head with his hand, playfully. "I am little too thickheaded for that anyways. No harm, no foul." In truth, his quirk helped to protect him from bodily harm. It offered him the durability needed to fight stronger and hard-hitting opponents. Still, though he had to be more careful. Had Bereker applied more force, he would have gone down.
At the mention of food, Desmoshi yelled out, "Food! I'm starving. And for the first time, I won't need to eat from a hospital bed." Desmoshi pointed toward the UA cafe. "To the food!" he exclaimed with a smile.

To watch her new best friends and her brother converse with one another brought Mizuki a little bit of happiness. It was nice to see them be more civil after the fight and understand that this was just a small competition that didn't mean victory or defeat. The showcase of their talents was more important that who was the best out of all of them.
Mizuki rolled her eyes at her brother's thickheaded comment. He was a lot smarter than he gave himself credit for. He anticipated that Berker was more mobile than he was, and he planned around that as best he could and came out with the victory. Maybe he was growing while he was here at UA. But the question still remained. Was she?
At the mention of food, Desmoshi cheered at the idea, due to the fact that he had a hospital for most of the night before. "Do you really need to be that loud?" Mizuki asked in her deadpan tone. She still gave a little smile though. He earned it. Let him celebrate. Desmoshi trained for two months non-stop and it was showing in his fights. Yang commented that she was a vegan. "Same," Mizuki said. "UA cafe should have something for us as well." She turned to Berker. Its been a while since they had lunch together. "Yeah, let's eat."

Yang
Yang nodded. She felt more at ease knowing that Mizuki also had an alternative eating style. It was hard explaining to people why Yang was purposely vegetarian. She hadn't quite devoted her life to be a vegan but she could if she felt like it. Either way she wanted to avoid anything that bled. Myrkul agreed with her choice. Yang had such a hard time controlling her quirk even if the food wasn't cooked properly she could use her quirk. Maybe it was because how her quirk manifested. It was under great stress. Something that probably wouldn't have happened if the doctors were quick enough to catch her from seeing. But there was no reason to change the past now. It has already happened and Yang had to learn to live with it. If she could. Maybe that was why she had another personality. Because part of her knew she can't handle it. But she was no psychiatrist. She sighed to herself as the group walked to the cafe to get food.
However now that Yang thought about it, this will probably be her first time eatting with other people let alone the cafe food. She usually made her own food since she knew what she liked best. She was a bit nervous. Especially around Mizuki. It was hard to figure out why Yang felt this why around her. But maybe she would with time find out. However; Yang debated on how to bring it up to Mizuki. It was hard. Yang was quiet and awkward especially when she talked. Her voice was something she didn't like to use unless she had no choice. Unlike Desmoshi who was super excited to eat. He didn't even attempt to hide his emotions about food. It was fairly clear.
Yang snickered a bit. Mizuki and Desmoshi were so different now that she has gotten to know them a bit better. But of course she couldn't forget the person that was with them. His name was Berker. He seemed like the strong type but Yang didn't know him as well as she did the Haymaker's. But maybe this time that they were about to spend eating lunch together. It would be better for Yang to socialize with people. Especially people her age. She sighed softly trying to shake the jitters away and attempted to see what they could eat besides the very obvious salad bar. Yang hoped there was something else besides salad.

"Vegan eh?..." Berker thought. What a shame that they do not know the beauty of juicy meat. "Their lost..." He thought but of course he didn't show it on outside. "Then UA cafe it is." Berker turned and started to walk. "By the way, Des, is it fine if i call you des?" He asked and then continued "What do you plan to do after being a Hero? What's the end goal?" Berker knew what he himself was planning for. But he had no idea what other people's ideas were. It might create some kind of spark in him too. An idea that he didn't think before. Desmoshi looked like he'd just go around fighting crime but Berker wasn't so sure. Both sister and brother looked like they were going to do Heroism as a side job. Both of them had fighter look in them. So Berker was sure that he was going to see them in rings.
He also turned to two girl "Same question." he smiled to them, waiting for their reply as they headed to cafe.
Once they were there Berker would order the biggest hamburger he could find with biggest cola he could carry. "Not to offend the ladies, but i kinda moved a lot..." he smiled. He needed that meal. It was one of his favorite.

"Des is fine man," Desmoshi replied with a smile. They were heading to the UA cafe to get their grub on. Who would have thought fighting so much would make someone so hungry? Berker asked Desmoshi his next question. "Well only have one goal, to be honest," Desmoshi smiled with confidence. "My plan when I become a hero is to unite everyone together despite our differences. No more quirkers versus quirkless stuff. Just people living in harmony and learning to coexist with each other."
He put his hands behind his head and looked towards the sky as he walked. "I know that is not an overnight thing and it does seem impossible, but someone's got to try, right?" He looked back in enough time to see the UA cafe. "Let's eat!" Desmoshi yelled excitedly as he ran up to the counter.
Desmoshi ordered as much meat as he could and brought it back to the table where everyone else was sitting. The last fight burned a lot of energy out of him so he needed to get it back up for the next fight. “Man, this cafe makes the best food,” Desmoshi said as he stuffed his face full of food. Man, when was the last time he really ate?

Mizuki gave thought to Berker's question. She did talk about why she wanted to him once before but she felt like that wasn't the reason. She originally did this to make her father quit being a vigilante. But now she had wondered was that really the reason she wanted to be a hero. "To be honest, I am not sure why I want to be a hero," Mizuki answered her friends. "I thought I would figure it out once I came to UA." She looked deep in thought. "Now, I am not so sure."
When they made it to the food court, Mizuki ordered a huge salad and water. Just because she shared the same quirk as her brother, doesn't mean she had to eat like him. Speaking of which... "Desmoshi! At least taste the food before shoving it in your mouth," Mizuki said to her brother. "We have people sitting around watching us eat. At least be a good example." He responded with a smile and continued to do in his huge plate of food. How were they related? There had to been a mixed up at the hospital when the two were born. But no matter what, he was her brother and she was proud of him to say the least.

"Going to be a true hero huh?" Berker smiled. He wasn't had that kind of purposes in life. At least yet. Listening the two bicker with each other Berker couldn't help himself and made fun of them. "You two sure you're related?" This scene made him remember his own sister. They were much like this too. They liked opposite things, they wore in different styles, she was outgoing and Berker not. It was almost like an universal law that brothers and sisters had to be completely different. It has been few months now he didn't talked with her.. Since he came here... Perhaps one day he would appear in front of her as a Hero? Who knew. Right now all he wanted to was focusing on his meal. He was too tired to think about troublesome topics right now.
While eating his meal Berker realized Yang was being really silent. Making sure she was also in conversation he asked her with a smile in his face, "Hope you don't find my existence too bothersome". Sometimes people would not feel at ease with new people around, and they don't show it to not cause scene. Berker knew it because he was one of those people. That's why he wanted to make sure, seeing that she didn't said anything for the whole time they spend here.
