She watched her brother go through the checklist for the Fight Night event. She never had seen him so excited. Sure it was their dad who was in the fight, which definitely worth cheering for. But the fact that Desmoshi get to share it with classmates made him... so happy. And Mizuki was happy for her brother. He was making leaps an bounds to help others who were having a long first week at the school. This was a chance for old and new students to bond with one another, and actually get some things off their chest if need be.
"Yuuto is going to want grilled fish," Mizuki said, helping with her brother's checklist. "And the popcorn is here as well. Wow, you went all out for this. You even got vegetables for those who were vegans." Her brother was making sure everyone was taking care, getting every snack and food item he could think of. On top of that, if all of it was not eaten, he planned on donating it to food banks here in Musutafu. She was proud of him and how he planned everything. Although, she was still nervous. What if no one showed? It would break her brother's heart.
She tried shake away the negative thought as Desmoshi set up the TV. He was confident that people would show and believed everyone needed to relax. He turned up the volume and announcer came on to introduce the fight. "We have an exciting match for you here tonight folks," he started. "US Heavyweight boxer Moyd Fayweather has came all the way to Japan to challenge the undefeated local talent, Jokai Haymaker. This will be a match for the century! Two boxer with different styles will be meeting in the ring tonight!"

Yang
Yang sighed. Another long day of school. She was headed back to her room, she was going to change so she could go on a run. She wanted to clear her mind and for some reason running was better then meditating. Even though Mizuki has been kind enough to keep trying the meditation classes with her as well inviting other students. Yang just wasn't getting the point of meditating.
Speaking of Mizuki, Yang saw Mizuki, Desmoshi, and a man in the general area before the dormitories. Yang stopped nervously after the nice eye revealing trip that her and Mizuki had, she felt kind of awkward around Mizuki. But how could she just ignore Mizuki since she was literally in the same area as her? She sighed and walked over towards Mizuki.
Then the announcer came on and announced everything that was about to go down. Yang blinked and looked at the man again. So this was Mizuki and Desmoshi's father? Well she guess she will met the parents now or at least the father figure. This didn't make yang feel any better.
"Hi Mizuki..." she said shyly. She wasn't sure how else to talk to Mizuki but actually talk to her. There wasn't really anyone else yet and she didn't have to play the role of a mute. She could actually be herself here. Yang smiled slightly as she looked over the food again. There were vegan options that made her happy. "Do you have any vegan popcorn....we could share..." she said very quickly because she was embarrassed. Ever since that life changing experience in where she questioned her sexuality, everything has been weird. She has checked books out from the library about romance most were very cheesy. Other's made Yang blush hard so she quickly returned those and kept the cheesy romance novels. Hoping they would teach her pointers on how to find out if she really liked someone or loved someone. This fight night just became longer than it needed to be. But Yang wanted to stay to support her friends....yeah that what Mizuki is as of right now. Just her friend. Her very good friend.

It was nice to finally see Yang again. Mizuki was still confused about what happened with that whole day on the beach. She still wasn't sure how to approach her feelings with Yang or how to make it easier going for both of them. But she was going to at least try and understand the meaning of this.
"Hey, Yang," Mizuki said with a smile. She noticed that other students were gathering but they were more huddled up on the other couch talking to Desmoshi. 'Cool, just the two of us,' Mizuki thought to herself. 'Yang and Mizuki sitting in a tree. K-I-S-' Tsuki started singing in her mind. 'Really?' Mizuki thought to her inner self. 'I saw the other kids doing it so I though I give it try,' Tsuki answered, giving a small smile.
Mizuki refocused on Yang and said, "Sure, I can share." Yang took a seat next to her on the other couch as they both looked at the screen listening to the announcement.
“Ladies and gentlemen this is a fight for the ages. Two undefeated men are entering the ring tonight for one of the best exhibition matches ever to be witnessed.” The screen put up two pictures. One of her dad and another one of Moyd Fayweather. He was a tall dark-skinned man with huge muscles and a small goatee. His head completely shaven and when he smiled for his picture, he was missing a few teeth. “Two undefeated boxers from different parts of the world will meet here tonight.”
Both fighter stats appeared on the screen displaying their records and other things that were important to the fans. “For the folks at home, here’s a rundown of both fighters’ history. Haymaker has over 70 undefeated fights under his belt. He very well versed in all boxing styles, being able to switch between multiples depending on the situation,” the announcer stated. “His contender, Fayweather, is versed in slugger boxing. He has the same record as Haymaker and has proven time and time again that the rock-paper-scissors theory does not apply to him. Especially with all that power and weight, each one of his swings is going to be devastating. It will be amazing to see what Haymaker can do against this.”
The screen then flashed to the ring. “Now we go live to the ring. Ted, the floor is yours!” On cue, a heavy-set bald man in a black suit entered into the ring with a microphone in hand. “Thank you, Dave. Ladies and gentlemen. Boys and girls. I will be your round announcer for this fight. Tonight we got a treat for you. Japan’s unstoppable dragon meets United States’ unmovable tiger! Both fighters have fought in multiple countries, including each other’s home countries. This is there first meeting! Who will win?!” And with an excited cheer from the crowd, the man yelled, “LET’S GET READY TO RUMBLE!”
Both fighters were in their corners, jumping up and down to loosen their muscles. “And in this corner,” Ted said pointing to Jokai, “wearing blue shorts and weighing at 220 pounds. He’s fast! He’s lean! He’s a fighting machine! JOKAI HAAAAYMAKKKEEEER!” The crowd was on its and feet cheering to the top their lungs.
“You got this, Dad!” Mizuki heard Desmoshi yelled in excitement standing to his feet. She always believed in her father when it came to boxing. It was being a vigilante that she had a problem with. “And in this corner,” said Ted pointing at Fayweather, “wearing red shorts and weighing at a whopping 325 pounds! The Butcher of Boxers! The hungry beast! MOYD FAAAAAAAYYWEATHER!” The crowd was on their feet as they cheered on Fayweather.
“And without further introductions, the referee will be taking the stage,” said Ted. “It is time to get this match underway!“ An older man who was short and stocky enter the ring dressed in a referee’s uniform. “I want a good clean fight,” the referee said for everyone to hear as the boxers met in the middle. “No hits below the belt! Anti-quirk Boxing Gloves must be kept on at all times! When you ready, touch gloves. When the bell rings, come out your corners and box.” Both men touch gloves and went back to their respective corners.
At the sound of the bell, both men came out, their hands and gloves in a fighting stance. The match was underway!

Yang Yang wasn't sure how it got to this point. But her and Mizuki were off in the distance to themselves while watching this fight about to start. Red basically teased Yang in the same manner. It left Yang beat red. She still had the popcorn that she picked out for them to share. Boy this was awkward.
Luckily the announcer came on and officially narrated the match was beginning. It wasn't long before Mizuki had cheered for her father. Of course Yang should have realized it by the last name but this didn't make the situation any better. Lord this match couldn't be any more awkward now could it? Yang couldn't help but feel nervous. She was technically meeting Mizuki's family wasn't she? Oh Yang wasn't ready for these thoughts. From what she could tell from reading the cheesy romance novels, meeting one's family was basically asking for their blessing.
Oh she needed to calm down before she found out the limitations on her quirk regulators. Her emotions where definitely high at this point and she knew her quirk would only respond as such. As her heart beat faster and the blood circulated in her body, it was quite simple on why Yang needed regulators. Who would be able to control something that naturally moved? It was like attempting to stop the rotation of the Earth. It wasn't going to happen unless she was dead. A dead person's blood doesn't move nor does a bag of donated blood. But that was easier to control then something that regulated by her brain.
She attempted to get comfortable and sit next to Mizuki as the match proceeded. It was definitely interesting. Yang wasn't sure who to root for. The very obvious answer would be Mizuki's father but that would just add on the embarrassment wouldn't it? Of course it would be easier than causing a heated argument if she rooted for the other person. Maybe it would be best to sit there quietly as the match proceeded? She had nervously munched on her popcorn while watching the match.
Only time will tell if Yang would also cheer for someone and who that would be. But as of right now, she was enjoying her time sitting next to Mizuki. Even though it was as awkward as it could be between them. They were very close and Yang just wasn't sure where she wanted to go with this relationship they were developing.

Mizuki was nervous, to say the least. Not just for her father's fight, but her feelings toward Yang. She still hasn't answered whether or not she was going home with her. On top of that, their exchange on the beach left it a little... awkward. It was unusual to be in a position where one could not understand their feelings for their friend... Or maybe more? Only time would tell. But for now, she would root for her father and keep a close eye on what was going on in the fight.
Many students enter the common area, but they were more focused on talking to Desmoshi than anything else. And that was fine with her. A chance to be alone with Yang was a great opportunity. But what to say? What to do? As Mizuki was about to respond, her attention was grabbed by the announcer on the television.
Mizuki watched as her dad struggled to make his opponent buckle from his blows. Fayweather finally decided to move, seeing in an opening in Jokai’s defense. With a quick right hook to the rib cage, Fayweather delivered a devastating blow to the Haymaker, causing the latter to stumble back a bit. He knew his father was reeling from the hit, but Desmoshi knew that he had this.
“It seems that a devastating blow has been delivered to the Haymaker’s rib cage!” said the announcer in excitement. “Fayweather’s training seems to be paying off as Haymaker is unable to land a solid hit to make his opponent back down.” Fayweather rushed Haymaker down, delivering blows to the body while Haymaker kept his guard up through the assault. “Now Fayweather is on the attack. Blow after blow, Haymaker is attempting to weather through it, hoping to get an opening.”
Mizuki knew her dad was in trouble if he didn't find a way out. But she had seen at his worse so this was nothing compared to what he does outside of the ring.

Yang
The fight was definitely progressing. It looked like Mr. Haymaker would lose unless he changed his strategy. Yang sat there eating the popcorn while watching this fight. She didn't cheer for either side really. This wasn't a fighting style she was fond of. Myrkul tried his best to expose Yang to every fighting style there was so if she were ever put in a situation she had something to back her up. But unfortunately for him the only one that really stuck was sword fighting.
Yang was fairly good at sword fighting. She could almost fence if she had better stamina. However, she didn't and that was something she would have to live with. But right now she had to sit here next to Mizuki watching this fight. She could tell that Mizuki was truly worried about her father. It was obvious that she loved her father.
Right, Mizuki had a family that loved her. She was normal even though she felt like she was the black sheep of the family. Yang smiled bitterly and wondered if this what it would have been like if her biological parents were still alive? Of course she had Myrkul but his version of love was definitely interesting.
Yang sighed and patted Mizuki on the shoulder hoping to let her realize she wasn't alone and no matter what the outcome was with this match, it wouldn't change the fact that her father loved her.

The reassuring pat on the shoulder warmed Mizuki's heart. Since the riots, the two had been hanging out a lot. But she still didn't have an answer for going home with her. Should she go? What would that make them? But she was concerned about her father. She wasn't going to lie- she was worried about her father. Every blow he tried to land didn't seem to work and it seemed that this guy had some devastating hits. She looked over to her brother, who started to smile. Why was he smiling? Their dad was in trouble!
"You would be more afraid of the guy who mastered stance than the one who mastered multiple." She heard Desmoshi said to the other two classmates. "That's why my dad took pieces from each style and made his own."
To prove his point, her dad started to bob and weave out the opponent's hits, this time keeping an eye on him. If one were to look closely, they could actually see steam coming from Jokai's nostrils. "Dad's figured out the strength of his punches and where to hit him at," Desmoshi said with a smile. "Now the real fight starts." And right on cue, when Jokai dodged the last hit, he moved underneath and delivered several blows to Fayweather's ribs. The giant man stumbled back, surprised by the quick hits.
"It seems that Haymaker has found his second wind! The infamous Haymaker "Breathing Style" is now in full swing!" the announcer said with excitement. "Multiple hits to the ribs could cause some issues to Fayweather's stance." Haymaker wasn't done as he dodged another shot and delivered several shots to the temple. "Ooh, the temple is a major weak spot for a boxer. There is no doubt that Fayweather didn't feel that one!"
Mizuki heard Desmoshi explained, "Breathing style is an art we developed in our family. It allows us to focus on martial art and the stances that come with it. From there, we combine it with breathing techniques to increase our awareness and how quickly we can switch between stances. The steam you see is not from his quirk, but from the actual body temperature increase and intense breathing involved."
Mizuki watched as her dad blow out more steam as though his body was on fire. Haymaker charged forward into a swarmer stance, swaying left to right, and started delivering blows from left to right in rapid succession. Each hit with a purpose and each hit meaning to take out the opponent. Fayweather stood tall taking each hit until the bell ring. "Round one is coming to a close!" The announcer yelled. "But it seems that both fighters are just getting started. Who will come out on top and keep their undefeated record?"
Mizuki was on the edge of her seat. Her father was going to pull this off. But he was going to need a lot more than that technique. That guy was going to be prepared next time. And he was going to make sure her dad would go down for the count. "Thank you for coming," Mizuki said to Yang, holding her hand.

Yang
Yang smiled slightly as Mizuki thanked her. She figured it would be nice to come but she didn't expect to see the Haymaker's father here. It was a pleasant surprise. Of course it made Yang wonder. Ever since she asked Mizuki about going home during the next break things have been different. It was awkward to hear her say yes but with some conditions. Yang felt rejected in some sense on that day.
The only thing that salvaged that day was Red. Red had taken control on that day and said something to Mizuki while they ate. After that it was like everything went back to somewhat normal. Yang wasn't completely sure what Red said. Whenever Red has control, Yang isn't aware of the world outside. She had to figure out what Red said to Mizuki. It probably was embarrassing.
She sighed heavily and looked at Mizuki. Even though the fight between her father and the other man had started to get interesting. She wasn't really interested in the fight even though the breathing technique had piqued Red's interest. Yang just wanted to spend whatever time she could with Mizuki. Even if it was just for a little bit at the time.
Yang couldn't deny that she had feelings for Mizuki but she just didn't know what they meant or what to do with them. She eventually wanted to discuss with Mizuki about her feelings but not here with other people. Maybe if they get some privacy. But who knows when that will be.

Mizuki was worried about her dad, but her thoughts still sat in the pit of her mind. Does she like Yang? Does she like her? Was it even worth trying to see if a relationship could be possible? So many questions swirled in her mind, along with the question on their first day out. But was Yang thinking about what Mizuki had asked her? Did she think about the moment they almost... kissed on the beach? And how they protected each other during the riots. That was something.
Mizuki's birthday was coming up and she hoped that Yang would come. But how would she ask her? Should just go ahead and say it? It was in May, so meaning she had one month left. "Hey," Mizuki started looking at her, "if you are not busy in May, would you like to-"
She was interrupted by the voice of the announcer. "And we're back, ladies and gentleman. Round one has finally reached a conclusion. Fayweather was dominating for the first round, but it seems that Haymaker has found his second wind." Both fighters stood up and stretched their muscles. From the looks of it, this round would be the one that decided it all. Mizuki was on the edge of her seat as the other students cheered their father on.

Yang
Yang realized that Mizuki wanted to talk about something but sadly was interrupted by the announcer. She wasn't sure what Mizuki could have wanted but it made her anxious. Everything has been a blur since Yang had joined the school. So much has happened in such a little bit of time, it was amazing that she could still keep up. She knew that she had feelings for Mizuki but to what extent was another question. Ever since their first outing, it has been awkward between her and Mizuki. Awkward in the sense that some of that day was taken over by Red and Yang had no earthly idea what she did or said to Mizuki. All she knew was whatever Red told her which wasn't much.
Yang was left to put the pieces together. But from what she could tell the two had gotten closer. She sighed as the match came to an intermission. What could she do or say at this point? She wasn't sure if they should be having this kind of conversation with so many other people around. Yang figured she would just enjoy this moment with Mizuki and they could sort their feelings later. After all it should only be a matter of time before they could talk to each other anyways.

Mizuki watched as both fighters out of there corners. She could tell that this would be the last round that decided it all. Her father was running on empty from using martial art. And Mayweather's perfect defense did not seem to be holding up too well. So which one could hold there ground and weather through? Her brother had just finished explaining to Kiersa and Ray how their styles worked, and their weaknesses were plain as day. Overclocking the body like that causes the muscles and diaphragm to be open. Hence why they relied on their quirk. At the same time, without proper training, the body wears down even faster with their quirk active.
The bell rang and the fight was underway. The two fighters exchanged hits back and forth, each hit actually having more effect than earlier. Haymaker looked like he was wearing down, his breathing becoming more shallow. No more time to waste. Mizuki knew her dad was ending this now.
Her father began to sway back and forth, avoiding each hit Fayweather threw. But if one looked really close, Haymaker was building up speed. Once he had enough speed, he started raining punches left to right. "Its the infamous Dempsey roll- Haymaker Style! Will this be enough to put down Fayweather?" the announcer said. Mizuki knew that each hit was putting a strain on her father. Each punch was aimed for Fayweather's face who was too tired to keep up his guard. Each hit resounded loud enough to be heard through the ring and on the last punch, Haymaker yelled, "PUNCH FOR PEACE!" There was enough force behind to put Fayweather on the ground.
The referee went up to the knocked out Fayweather, doing the ten-count. On the ten, Fayweather was unable to get up. "Knockout!" the announcer yelled. "Your winner- JOOOOOOKAAAI HAAAAAYYYMAKEEERRRRRRR!" The crowd went wild as Desmoshi and some of the other students who had gather cheered wildly. Jokai swayed a little his face a little bruised. The announcer went up to Haymaker with a microphone.
"Haymaker, what a match!" he exclaimed, putting a hand on Jokai's shoulder. "You still hold an undefeated record! What will be in the future for the champ?" Jokai waited for the crowd to go silent as he spoke into the microphone. "After boxing for twenty-five years," Jokai said breathlessly, "I can finally say this with confidence. I will be officially retiring boxing and my record. That way someone else can have a chance at it, and I can spend time with my family. Thank you for all the support you have given me over the years." Once that was said Jokai stepped out of the ring walking away with his coaches and his wife. The announcer was just as stunned the crowd. "You heard it here first folks," the announcer said. "The undefeated Jokai Haymaker is retiring his mantle and boxing. Jokai will be missed by all fans and we thank him for what he has done for the association."
Mizuki looked at her brother, who too had a confused look on his face from the news? Why did he just do that? What the heck was going on?
