She woke up maybe a little too early today. When was the last time she relaxed? It wasn't even that important to be so early, she wasn't a homeroom teacher but she wanted to be on time and make a good impression in general so that meant she would have to go and after discussing with the other teachers, she would bring a new thing to the school or more like a new someone. She was sure the cat had been there before but now it would be more official as to help the school and help some people relax. She was very sure that this was an important part of the students daily life now and she wanted to actually work on it more, but when she brought it up to her friend she did not get a response. So Nimue had waited, she would maybe discuss it later. She looked around, where did she leave the little vest that she got for Kuro. Did he already get it? She was still half in pyjamas instead of being properly dressed, "Kuro, did you get the vest already? I think I need to help you get it on." She would have to make sure the cat would also come home with her in the evening and that it would stay in her office to get food and well all the other things. It could wander around, she would probably if she had no student or parent in there, or teacher, keep the door slightly ajar. She had not thought this through which was probably another reason why she was up so early. Many thoughts were swirling in her mind.
Finally, she managed to get her dress on and her bag packed with the things she needed. She got a general backpack too with all the stuff that she had taken home over the course of the spring break as they were too precious to leave there while there was no need for them there. So everything was ready... eeehm except that she did not do her hair, eat breakfast and so on. She was lucky that she woke up early with her head in the clouds because of bringing Kuro to her work. In the end, she ate some cereal, brushed her hair and put a pin it to keep it at bay and managed to brush her teeth, put on shoes and jacket and was ready to leave. "Do you want to sit in my bag or walk with me?" It was only a ten-minute walk to U.A. from her apartment so it wouldn't be bad but she would offer both to Kuro, he was his own little person so she would not want him to feel bad if he would take the offer of not walking or for her suggesting it.

first day of school! THE BLACK CAT IN QUESTION was sacked-out on the couch in Nimue's apartment, half-asleep. When Nimue spoke to him, the cat gave an enormous yawn, stretching from his tail to the tip of his toes, shivering slightly at his big stretch.
"I don't have the vest," the cat said. Rather than rising, he started to curl into a ball, tucking his head. He'd eaten breakfast already, since Nimue had risen so early today, and was ready for his post-breakfast nap. He might have drifted-off while Nimue was finishing getting ready, snoring faintly. He woke marginally when she finished her breakfast, and getting dressed. He stretched again, this time rising into a standing position.
He didn't like the bag, much. But didn't feel like walking, either.
"Carry me?" he offered instead. Should Nimue agree, he would take his well-practiced perch upon her shoulders-- sitting on his hanches, with his front paws on either side of one of Nimue's shoulder, and his hind legs on the other shoulder. Should she decline, he'd begrudingly unfold himself from the couch and start padding towards the door.
"The vest!" he'd say eagerly. It was right by the door, right where they'd left it. It was highlighter yellow, and in big, black, blocky Kanji read, "Kuro: School Cat". Just looking at it, one would know that it was too big for the apparent kitten-- but he'd hopefully soon grow into it.

Nimue smiled at Kuro when he asked if she would carry him, "Why not?" So she let him climb on her shoulder as he liked to do. He was very good at it, she would sit still until he was done so, especially to avoid the little nails in her shoulder. She would scratch him softly before getting up and taking her bag and she looked up when he said the vest. Oh, she had prepared it so as not to forget and yet she forgot she did that. She smiled, "I forgot I did that," She out loud spoke to Kuro so he knew and she took it and put it carefully in her bag and took the rest of what she needed such as her keys that were right next to it and she left the apartment.
"Now, just make sure to tell everyone you are with me if they have questions okay?" She was sure it was going to be fine as most of the teachers knew and hopefully had not forgotten. "And don't make a mess of the library." She would have to apologize to Toby about that, but it would happen throughout the day. She trusted Kuro to be smart enough, but he had this streak of curiosity and maybe she should call it a sense of showing off. "And if you need anything you come to me, I will show you around how to get there, okay?" She spoke softly but she wanted to say it before he got too distracted with the school. Considering he had been on the streets a lot she thought that wasn't too distracting. She had already learned he was at U.A. before but they would have to change it a little with how that had gone before.
It was a short walk and she scratched him softly next to his ear again when they were waiting for the last traffic light to let them pass. She greeted Hatsumomo at the door and went to the infirmary and showed that around to Kuro. Explaining again that if there was something that she would be here. She thought about when she was teaching biology and she thought she could leave him a little map. She actually had high doubts that Kuro would need her at any given moment, he was very independent after all. She had made him a little lunch though but it wouldn't be surprising if someone else would give him something in the cafeteria. "So what is your plan for today?" She said as she went to sit at the table in the infirmary so he could jump on it.

first day of school! KURO FOUND THAT COMFORTABLE PLACE behind Nimue’s neck, perched between her two shoulders, before he sank into the “cat loaf” position. It didn’t look very steady, but with his four paws beneath him, he could shift his weight and keep his balance rather well.
And then, the two were off. Nimue talked, assumedly to Kuro, but somewhat to the air, about rules for the day. Ugh, rules. Such human things. Kuro laid his head down, and did his best to fight the syrupy sleepiness in his brain—tell everyone she was with him, don’t make a mess of the library, bla bla… bla.
“O-kay~” the cat said in a groggy singsong. He didn’t have the heart to tell Nimue that he’d been to campus many times before, and probably new it better than she did. Or, at the very least, he knew the grounds better than she did. He’d only really been inside the library and the dormitories.
Kuro rubbed his face against Nimue’s shoulder and dozed once she’d said her piece, going a little slack around her neck. His legs would droop on either side of her torso, paws dangling, too tired to really keep them tucked.
He didn’t wake-up until they went inside. The outside noises faded as they stepped through the front door, and then were promptly cut-off. Kuro’s head snapped upward, his grass-green eyes blinking blearily to regard an equally-green woman.
We’re inside…
Kuro watched owlishly as they wove their way down unfamiliar halls, too fast for his liking. He’d have to wander them more slowly later.
Eventually they found their way to a room that smelled… medical. It was a smell that often clung to Nimue’s clothes, and it made the cat curl his lips in disgust. Antiseptic. Cleanliness. Everything that savored of a vet’s office.
Kuro unspooled himself from Nimue’s shoulders, leaping to the desk below. He found a pen, and began to nudge it with a tiny, black paw.
“I think…” Kuro mused, “I will explore inside. I’ve been outside plenty. But I have only been inside the library.”
Which it would seem Nimue was aware of. Oops. Perhaps he could track-down his friends from before when Nimue found him. The hapless boys who fed him chicken. Perhaps he could bully them into giving him more…
“Nimue~” Kuro said, his tail perking-up at this realization, “Do you have the… uh… thing? The thing students use to write messages to each other?”
He meant, could she use the chat the students could.
“There are some students who are familiar with me. They might want to see me.”

She did talk to Kuro but there wasn't much reaction coming from the little cat. He probably didn't like rules, she had noticed that on their first meeting but at least for now, it seemed that it would go fine. Maybe, she should still warn Tobias about Kuro coming and that she would definitely do whatever was necessary if he was being a little annoying or breaking stuff. She had sworn to everyone she would make sure it would go fine but how stubborn was her black little kitten? She wasn't sure if Kuro had really paid attention or just said okay to get rid of her bla-bla. It would always be a question. She let him go on though, there wasn't much to say as she simply would walk to school and let him hold on to her shoulder and rub her shoulder, she tried to see if he was doing fine and steady before she continued to cross the street after checking both sides twice. She made sure to keep her shoulder straight so he wouldn't drop off. She would actually not be surprised if he would stay on though, the magnificent creature was a cat after all and they were mysterious and great at the same time and sometimes a little crazy and stubborn. She noticed how Kuro had dozed off when she walked past a window and chuckled softly to herself before continuing on.
"Goodmorning Hatsumomo." She told the green woman at the reception, who looked up to spot her with her cat and she smiled. Inside, now, they would head to the infirmary. She made sure he could jump on the table and put her bag on the chair. Now Kuro could get into this room, but she had already made a decision that the other room should not be visited, she would eventually talk to him about that when he asked but the door was closed anyway, it was best the room remained clean and would not have any stray cat hairs or whiskers left there.
She had turned her attention from Kuro to make sure everything was there and she had the key. She had asked the cat what he would do today and nodded, since he would have his vest in a bit, it would be fine to discover the area, inside and outside. "Just make sure you stay in the walls so I can find you back at the end of the day." Wait could he watch the time? "You can find me here most of the time but I do give classes so I can be in the classrooms." That he still had to discover so it seems. Little Kuro asked if she had the thing to contact students and she frowned for a bit not understanding though her mind made assumptions when Kuro continued talking. "Oh, I do, want to send a message so they could come and meet you later today?" Because she did not want them to skip classes for Kuro. "Who do you want to meet?" Maybe she could send the students a direct message.

first day of school! KURO STRETCHED ON THE TABLETOP, spreading his claws and curling his tail as he gave a theatrical yawn. Nimue again tried to limit the tiny cat’s adventuring—stay inside of the walls—he could find her in the infirmary, unless she was teaching classes.
“You teach classes?” the cat echoed. That would be the perfect opportunity to see the inside of a classroom, Nimue allowing. Having thoroughly stretched his front legs and his back legs, the black cat sank into a seated position, weighing his options for whom he would most like to see.
“Jack,” the cat said simply, “Or Yasashi. I want them to see my vest.”
Kuro’s tail flicked slightly—perhaps they could take him with them, and feed him chicken or sandwich meat, just like old times. He didn’t mention that portion of his rationale, though, lest Kuro need them to feed him again.
The cat rose again, padding along the countertops to the desktop computer, craning his head towards the device as he waited for Nimue to log-on.
“Did you know… when I first found U.A., they thought I was a ghost?” Kuro said, grinning impishly at the notion, “Someone left the U.A. chat open on a library computer, so I said things. And then students came to look for me! It was a lot of fun.”
Kuro wasn’t aware of any rules that had been broken—he was simply telling Nimue his story because it proved he knew how to use the U.A. Chat on his own. And because humans were silly, and other humans deserved to hear how silly they, as a species, could sometimes be.

The more she talked, the more she realized what kind of buzzkill she was and she just hoped that Kuro did not notice and would just let it go for this. She just watched the little cat as she would prepare for her own day and she would look up and turn her attention to Kuro when he asked about classes, she nodded, "Yes I teach biology. Would you want to come along?" She looked interested if the cat would be able to stay quiet or roll up in the window sill long enough during the class, or maybe she could leave the door open, as long as Kuro would not distract too much of the students. On the other hand, they would just start so if the distractions came around in this week, that would mean there was not too much time delayed.
She would talk later with Kuro about the chat and she nodded, Jack and Yasashi, alright then. "Well come here, then. Maybe you can try and log in and send a new message to them, to come and meet you." She was a little nervous about that idea but again; no buzzkill. She made sure the computer there was activated and that Kuro could wait for it to be on and send a message to the boys or someone else. She would again sit down and scratched him softly as they both waited for it to be done and she could log in.
She bit her tongue because well it was just him opening up to her and she wanted to accept, he was a cat, let it be. "Oh yea?" She giggled a little, "What did they do when they figured out it was you?" She smiled, it was a fun story after all, she would apologize to everyone else later, it would be fine.

first day of school! THE BLACK CAT NODDED EXCITEDLY as Nimue offered to let him tag-along to Biology class with her, his eyes bright with excitement. He wasn’t sure what biology was, but that was the appeal of it. It was something new and exciting. He’d never learned Biology before. Kuro padded towards the computer when Nimue offered it up to him, sitting at the edge of the keyboard. Nimue raked her fingers along his spine, eliciting a purr from the cat as the two waited for the chat to load. “They were surprised that a cat could talk,” Kuro replied, licking his whiskers, “But I think that they liked a cat better than they liked a ghost.”He said nothing of his extended stay in Jack’s room, and nothing of how both Jack and Yasashi had kept him well-fed. What if living with Nimue didn’t work-out, and he needed to go to them for food? Those would be two sources of chicken, lost, if he revealed them! Finally, chat booted-up, and Kuro reached-out with small paw. KU-RO, he typed in hiragana, in the “Name” dialog. He hit [TAB] so that the cursor was in the Message dialog, using one paw to seek-out and peck keys, one at a time. It was a steady process, but eventually the message was typed. Kuro hit [ENTER] so that the following message arose in-chat: KURO: Taka Yasashi Jack Orion I am here with Nimue. Come see me!
The cat gave a self-satisfied look to the blue-haired nurse, smiling with his eyes. There was, of course, a niggling fear that Kuro's two friends might be busy. Then Kuro would be stuck in the infirmary all day, and none of his friends would get to see his vest! Kuro would look eagerly back towards the screen again, tilting his nose closer to the glass surface. | ft. nimue nakahara, jack orion, yasashi taka quirk: e-rank cat physiology, invisibility, floating; f-rank agility, breaking-and-entering |

Yasashi had been out a bit late the previous night, something he was certain Tetsuko would have a talking to him about later; but he'd enjoyed himself. Sagi was... exciting, and to be honest he hadn't had an excuse to really bond with anyone beyond the simple pleasures of friendship. He chuckled a bit and scratched his nose as he rolled onto his side, the bed creaking beneath him. His phone lit up and without thinking he jerked a finger, a skeletal arm sprouting from the night-stand and grabbed it. It tilted the screen so he could see.
If his expression could be any brighter, the lights of the room would look dark.
The bony arm tossed the phone to him and he rolled onto his back, grinning at the screen. "Wouldn't. Miss. It. Be. There. Soon." He said aloud, the small -tack tack tack- of a bony extension on his thumbs allowing him more precision with typing on his phone (his thumbs were too darn big). He hurled himself off the bed and tugged on his blue jeans, tossing on a pair of heavy boots, a lime green t-shirt that had the chemical structure of penicillin on it, and threw on the tinted glasses that Yojin had made for him.
He hurried out the room, rushing past Yuuto and a few of his other classmates before hopping down the stairs with a cheery hop; slipping out the door and into the sunshine. He squinted against the light, the glasses didn't do much for sunlight and gave the world a bit of an off-red tint. Yasashi jogged down the sidewalk towards his destination. His dear friend Kuro was waiting for him! They had so much to catch up about! Oh! Maybe he could meet Sagi sometime. He laughed and startled a passerby with the noise to which he scratched his head and raised a nervous hand.
He would have been there on time but a pair of first years were in one another's face just outside the building. Both of them looked just on the verge of a brawl when he stopped, looming over them with a patient-but-not-really-patient look on his face. A pair of lumps on their heads, a quick talking to, and a text to the Disciplinary Committee private chat later and he was finally inside. He blew out a breath and scratched his head. When had life gotten so busy? He let out a barrel laugh straight from his gut as he rounded the corner, placing a hand on the door and throwing it open unceremoniously.
"Good MOOORNIIIIINGGG! BAHAHAHAHAHA!" Yasashi bellowed. | TAG WORDS NOTES

Nimue curiously watched how Kuro reacted, the purring sound he made when she scratched his little back, to the cleaning of his whiskers as he patiently waited for the chat to start up. She knew she should sometimes keep an eye on the student channels but she mostly forgot, she was working here or at the hospital and didn't really have the time to look at it. But it was curious to see how the cat simply managed to type its name in the right characters, how it knew what tab to use, how to write the rest of its message and to send it to the right people. Nimue could only smile at the idea, that Kuro was a special cat and that she would do her very best to keep it with her and make sure it get what it wanted, she was a little bit afraid of the consequences if not, but now the cat had a home and it would be fine.
It was surprising and yet it was not how loud Yasashi was and she shortly closed her eyes and took Kuro to the table that was more to the door for them to talk. "Goodmorning Taka-kun." Nimue simply said and wondering what the plans for the two of them were, if Yasashi had no classes at this point and if Kuro would come back soon in that case, it was something to consider and to wonder if she should let the infirmary open so he could get at least into the first room in case he had nowhere else to go. It was an intelligent animal that was reaffirmed again and again but that did not mean that Nimue could not worry so she turned back from getting her stuff and making tea water and looked at Kuro, "So what are the plans?"

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! A REPLY PINGED ON THE SCREEN-- YASASHI! Kuro read the message, static leaping from the screen to the tip of his nose.
“Ah, ow!” the cat winced, pulling his nose back slightly before finishing with reading the message. Yasashi was on his way! Yes!
The cat rose from his seated position on the desk, his tail rising with delight. There were a few beds between the desk and the door, currently unoccupied, so the cat walked gingerly over the sanitary paper, before taking his seat right by the door.
Of course, Yasashi’s entrance was as big and as loud as he was, so when Yasashi threw the door open, Kuro tore the sanitary paper as he leapt to attention. Although his feline features broke into a grin, his tail floofed in surprise.
“Yasashi!” the cat greeted from the bed, his feet crinkling on the paper as he strode closer, “Good morning!! Look at my vest!”
That cat puffed his fluffy chest out as he turned to show the vest off in all of its glory, looking very pleased with himself. He was still posing when Nimue asked what the plans were, and the cat’s tail dropped slightly, his face resuming a more normal expression.
“Umm… not… entirely sure,” Kuro admitted. He looked towards Yasashi again, “I want to explore the inside. Besides the library.”
Kuro had snuck into the library innumerable times.
“Ya-sa-shiiiii, can I go to class with you?” Kuro pleaded. The morning was yet young, so surely there was some sort of class that the cat could get squirreled-away into?

Yasashi threw a jolly hand up next to his head and greeted his professor with a bright smile; "Nimue-sensei! Thank you for having me- OH HO!" Yasashi at last saw his dear friend. His eyes glittering with absolute delight as Kuro took a proud strut toward his friend. Yasashi rushed over and bent a little at the knees to get closer, his arms out as he enthused over the new vest. "Kuro my friend! Look at you! So official!" He clapped his belly with a hand, "BA HA HA! It suits you! A cat with style!"
He glanced up when Nimue questioned him and he looked down at the thoughtful cat. Kuro seemed less than interested to see the library. Understandable. He stretched out a hand so that Kuro could put his paws on the shovel sized palm. "Join me my friend! Class? HAH! We'll see the whole of the school! The Gym! The Kitchen! The Classrooms! Wherever you like!" He guffawed, placing one hand on his hip and threw his head back with a deep laugh. His eager smile remained plastered as he looked up at Nimue. He nodded to her;
"As long as that's okay with you, ma'am," He conferred.
He would do anything to have an opportunity to show his dear friend around. Kuro was like another part of him. He'd been there very early on in his schooling and had been a constant part of his overall support structure. Sure, the cat did not understand some human niceties but he was able to empathize in ways that others couldn't as well. If there was anyone he wanted hanging around, it was Kuro. If only he could have his little buddy on his shoulder all the time! Ho ho! That would be a true gift. He smiled and winked down at Kuro, keeping his thoughts to himself. | TAG WORDS NOTES

Standing at the kitchen and wondering about a small dilemma of protecting the location and information of this space, she wasn't sure what exactly to do with Kuro. Worries for later as Yasashi was going to help Kuro discover new places and hang out and not be bored with Nimue the whole day. She had raised her eyebrow in surprise as he cleaned his little paws on the sanitary paper and she smiled though, she loved having Kuro as her companion, it definitely made up for the silent nights and days. She would just wait for the two to finish their talk and ask about their plans for today. She nodded when Yasashi arrived and thanked her before turning to Kuro. Glad to see other people happy with the little kitten around. When they both did not say much more and Kuro still showed off, Nimue poured the water in a teacup and asked what the plans of today were.
She nodded and looked from one to another and made sure that they did not think her another buzzkill. "Make sure that the other teachers are okay with it and don't break anything, Kuro." She looked from one to the other and wasn't sure what to do or say about it but she smiled at them. But she was sure that it was fine with the two of them, she trusted Yasashi to do what's right and be okay with entertaining Kuro. She looked from one at another. She did not want them to get trouble with other teachers, but she kinda assumed Itsuki would be okay with it, he was a nature lover from what she heard from Hatsumomo, so it was fine. Nimue took a seat at her table and looked at them, she gave a quick scratch behind Kuro's ears, "And have a lot of fun."

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! THE CAT GRINNED, HIS WHISKERED LIPS peeling back from his little white fangs as Yasashi praised the ensemble. Although the concept of a cat in a vest was still ridiculous to Kuro, if one human that the cat was cool with thought it was a good look, it couldn’t have been that bad, right? And besides, there were no other cats around on campus to scorn Kuro for his fashion-choice.
Kuro did, it was worth knowing, actually adore the library—but he’d been there so many times that it held no mystique. The stony-faced librarian had even gone so far as to leave a water dish behind the front desk, although he still (regrettably) offered kibble. The classrooms, the kitchen, and the gym were, however, uncharted territory.
He stepped delicately into Yasashi’s proffered hand, trying to fit all four, delicate paws into it. He would then brace himself to be brought to the boy’s shoulder, where Kuro would take a dignified seat. Unlike Yuuto, whose shoulders were bony and difficult to balance on, Yasashi had big shoulders. Kuro could sit comfortably on just one. And that was precisely what he did!
“All of them!” Kuro insisted, “I want to see everything!”
The cat looked imploringly to Nimue, when Yasashi asked her permission.
She granted it, but only after issuing a warning—be sure that other teachers were alright with it, don’t break anything.
Kuro inclined his head slightly.
“I don’t break things,” the cat said primly, “If they fall, I will catch them.”
With his mind, he meant. Telekinetically.
Of course, as soon as he insisted that he wouldn’t break things, the cat immediately doubted himself—and wondered when, in the recent past, he had broken something.
“Come on, Yasashi,” the cat insisted, brushing against the back of the boy’s head on his way to the other shoulder, “Let’s go! I want to see everything!”

Yasashi nodded to Nimue, raising a hand in salute and clipping his heels together. It was a bit of a silly gesture but it got the point across. He cracked a smile "You can rely on me, ma'am," He said and put his hands in his pockets, looking down at Kuro. Kuro made short work of getting onto his gigantic shoulders. The cat perching himself on one and finding a comfortable position. He wanted to see everything. Yasashi threw his head back and let out a boisterous laugh before heading for the door. He glanced back and raised a hand to wave at his teacher; "Thank you sensei, for letting this happen." He said earnestly.
The two of them stepped out into the hallway, Yasashi pretending to march with all the gusto he could manage, fists pumping up in the air as he broke into a silly song about Big Bones and the Black Cat going to see the castle far far away. He stopped singing just in time to spot one of the classrooms and opened the door with his usual overenthusiastic strength. The door slammed open with a bang and he beamed... at no one. Oh, right. This class wasn't active right now. He scratched his head and looked around the room. There was his seat as well as notes on the board. He strode in and walked to the spot where he sat, at the back because he was so tall he blocked everyone's vision.
"This is my seat for this class," Yasashi said, resting his finger on the desk. "I can see everything in the room from here!" He beamed, chortling a little as he reached into the desk to see if he'd left anything in there. He pulled a small pink book out as well as a note written in flowing handwriting. He flushed and shoved both of them quickly into his pocket-hoping Kuro was distracted.
