It was a yellow afternoon in Tokyo. Early April. The sun was out and the smell of spring wafted in the air. Busy as always, the bustling streets made all the ambience Lee Seo-Yeon required to work. The Korean woman contrasted the friendly families, chattering students and busy business-people - her sharp, grey eyes penetrated wherever crowds gathered, her surly demeanour keeping people at a wide berth. A white plastic bag held in one hand. The wind swept across the city, giving it a pleasant, cool breeze. As Seo-Yeon walked into Yoyogi Park, she found it as refreshing as ever. The trees lined these paved roads and, further in, the roads would convert to dirt and wood surrounding the lake - she could already hear the crashing of the fountains. Checking her smartphone, she sat at an empty bench against a wall. Time for lunch. With a sigh, Seo-Yeon pulled out a black and white baseball cap from the plastic bag and donned it, followed by grabbing a plastic-wrapped sandwich. She wanted a crepe, but didn’t find one on her patrol… Which sucked. But the sandwich was good! Ham and cheese…Okay, so today was turning out to be pretty damn boring. She wasn’t sure if she should be complaining about there being no crime to stop- but with all the new reports of arson and kidnappings, Seo figured she would’ve found something by now! It was a real drag being out in full gear all day. It got hot, dammit. She grumpily devoured the sandwich as a laugh echoed out from the alleyway across the street from her. Seo raised an eyebrow and tossed a glance in its direction. What looked to be a few youths, hoodies up, were hanging around in the alleyway staring at a phone. “Loiterers? Probably just messing around. But… Something’s off… Worth checking out, I guess.”Clapping crumbs from her hands and finishing the sandwich, Seo stood from the bench, removing her hat as she approached the alleyway with purpose. “Oi!” she called, stood a bit away from the mouth of the alley with a hand on her hip. “What’re you doing in there? Get out of the alley.” Seo-Yeon’s voice was loud, stern - it was clear she was ordering these youths around.“Eh? Get lost, lady.” one replied.“Yeah, we ain’t bothering anyone.” another followed. Seo-Yeon glared, responding with a bit of fire in her words.“I wasn’t asking. Out. This alleyway isn’t yours. You’ll be caught up for loitering if you stay.” The ultimatum was clear. A moment of silence came between Seo-Yeon and the hoodies before their leader, the tallest at least, approached her.“Who the fuck do you think you are, bitch, trying to tell us what to do?” She sighed and pulled out her wallet to display her Hero’s license.“I’m a fucking hero, asshole. Now are you going to get out or do I just get to skip the talking and kick your asses?” Seo was losing her patience with these idiots. She was shorter than the shortest of them and, while they looked taken aback by her license, their pride was threatened. This didn’t look great, but Seo-Yeon stood her ground. She wasn’t about to be challenged by three punks.(544)

❤ Azusa Mifune ❤ ❤ Cute is Justice ❤Thanks to some tips from her seniors, Azusa finally managed to plot a course for her patrol that she found satisfactory. She had been worrying about a few things, like what if she crossed into someone else's route. But she had been reassured that it wasn't going to be a problem at all. The rankings were just something the public came up with and no one was going to compromise hero responsibilities just for a little competition. If anything people would be more reassured at seeing multiple heroes in the same area. Still she tried to make sure that the places she planned to pass through had a decent balance of out of the way areas and high traffic ones. Not all troubles happened away from prying eyes. In away an incident occurring in a crowded place was even more dangerous. With her way charted, she set out nice and early. While much of the scenery had changed in the last five or so years, the streets and roads were still basically the same. That is to say, her knowledge of Tokyo wasn't completely outdated just yet. She was in her hero outfit, but unlike most of them, hers was more on the tamer side of being a costume. Combined with her being a fresh face in the Japanese hero scene, she didn't look like a hero on patrol at all. Any second looks she got while walking around were mostly due to her natural cuteness. Quirks may have driven up the variety of unique appearances people have that could draw attention, but a petite blonde girl was still a noteworthy sight. But looks was all that it amounted to. She wasn't going to be reassuring civilians with her presence just yet. Part of her actually liked the current status quo. Fame usually brought unwanted trouble. In Japan, trouble for a hero meant villains and criminals. She was a rescue and disaster relief specialist. Patrols weren't even a normal thing back in Germany as they were usually just on call when any incidents occur. That allowed her to balance her studies with hero work as the latter wasn't very time consuming. But that wasn't the case in this city. Heroes had to go out like this and be prepared to fight at any time. The thought made her nervous again. She really didn't want it to have to come to that. After a quick lunch at one of the diners in the area, Azusa would continue with her patrol in the afternoon. Yoyogi Park was close by which was an intentional addition to her patrol route for partially personal reasons. It was spring and that meant it was cherry blossom season. The sightseer in her couldn't afford to miss out on that. She couldn't ask for a better reminder than the pink and white trees that she was indeed back in Japan. The view was quite nostalgic. Unfortunately her chance at reminiscing would be short-lived. She and a few others close by were suddenly startled by raised voices coming from an alleyway just up ahead. She sighed. Was mediating arguments part of hero duties? She honestly wasn't sure there. But if there was a chance that a fight might break out, then she couldn't really leave it alone. She wished she had brushed up a bit more on peacekeeping. Arriving at the scene, she would see two sides in conflict. A woman was standing near the entryway of the alley while inside the alley itself was a small group in hoodies. The tallest one among them was the one engaging the woman directly. Things were getting heated and she definitely felt the need to step in. The plan? Well there was no plan, other than the faint hope that this could all be resolved by talking. "Pardon me, but what seems to be the problem here?"She would say after rushing over. It was an odd scene to say the least. The little peacemaker was rather out of place there between the two parties. The woman was already shorter than anyone in the hooded group, and Azusa was even shorter than her by around half a foot. "It's such a beautiful day. We should all be enjoying it in peace."She was doing her best to smile, but in her mind she could already tell this probably wouldn't be resolved just like that. Perhaps at least by providing a momentary distraction and interruption their 'strong' feelings would be directed away from each other for just a moment. But where it went next was anybody's guess.

The argument was at the boiling point. Seo-Yeon, having confronted these younger men, was not backing down. And neither were they. Despite being told several times that she was a professional hero, someone with the right and the abilities to combat quirk-powered criminals, it was like they thought of her as just another loud adult. The leader towered over Seo-Yeon, trying to be menacing. He had a rash of angry, red pimples across his chin, amongst a sprinkling of poorly kept facial hair that made him look younger than he probably was. But Seo, stubborn as ever, faced him off. She was tempted to actually beat them up, to teach them a lesson in respect, but her ‘professional restraint’ kept that number out of the lottery. “We’re just hanging around!” A chubby fellow spoke, sounding more reasonable than the others so far. “Don’t care.” Seo sighed. “You just need to get out of here, or you’ll get into more trouble.” The leader shot again, bringing his narrow face close enough for Seo to smell the cigarette smoke on his breath. “Fuck off! We come here every day and we’re not about to be intimidated by some fake cop.” Seo gritted her teeth, she was a single hair from losing her patience in a very bad way. "Pardon me, but what seems to be the problem here?" A new, soft voice entered the fray. Seo-Yeon turned her head to see a… peculiar girl approaching them. Shorter than herself, this girl tried her best to smile and offered a pretty flimsy line in an attempt to de-escalate things. Though Seo appreciated the help, it only incited the tallest hoodie, who sneered hard at this new woman. “Everything’s fine, miss.” Seo explained, unable to help sounding irritated, opening her wallet for her. “I’m Jabberwock, a hero, doing a-” The leader turned on the cute young lady with a cruel smile, a cow-like tail visible and flicking behind him. “We’re enjoying it just fine. This so-called hero’s been harassing us, but hey, why don’t we get out of here and we can all enjoy the day like you said.” Seo-Yeon couldn’t quite believe what was being said in her presence. Her brows furrowed in a furious expression and she was quite clearly about to punch this man in the jaw. But, sadly, her better instincts came over and she took the new lady by the shoulder, walking off. “Like I said. Everything’s fine. You can run along now.” She muttered with gritted teeth. After a few steps of leading the woman away from the hoodies, Seo broke away and walked back to her bench. When she sat, she noticed that all of the men were gone. I guess she won? So why did it feel like a loss? If Azusa stayed close by, she’d see Seo pull her baseball cap back on and rub her face with deep frustration. Just sat there. Alone. On a bench. Seo-Yeon didn’t even let Azusa speak after her introduction. Rude. (506)

❤ Azusa Mifune ❤ ❤ Cute is Justice ❤A hero? Azusa grew slightly nervous. She had been thinking about it earlier how she would react if she happened to cross another hero's patrol and here was that exact situation right in front of her. Before she could get a word in however, the lady who introduced themselves as Jabberwock ushered her away from the immediate area. Not wanting to start some sort of conflict she simply went along. As they moved away, the other party seemed 'pleased' to have Jabberwock's attention off them for the moment. It made Azusa wonder if she had made a mistake there. "Wait I..."As it turned out, that moment was all they needed and group was long gone. Meanwhile Jabberwock took a seat on a nearby bench looking frustrated. This was bad wasn't it? She had interrupted someone else's hero work. But then they weren't exactly going about it peacefully. It wasn't wrong for her to approach them right? But maybe she could have done something differently. Whatever the case, she had this urge to apologize. She also probably needed to introduce herself too. "Sorry about that. I didn't realize you were a hero as well."She would say, while reaching into her pocket to get her own license and flash it briefly for the woman to see. "I'm actually one too. I go by the name Valentine. I didn't think I would run into another hero so soon on my patrol."She would continue, while putting away her license again. One day she wouldn't have to do this anymore and people would recognize her from her face and name alone. But she was starting from the bottom again. It would be quite some time before then. For now she would have to get used to introducing herself with the accompanying proof. Speaking of introductions, she was also unfamiliar with the hero Jabberwock. At the very least she never saw the name in the top hero listings. She wondered if they were just a lesser known hero or someone new just like her. It would be useful to get to know any fellow heroes patrolling the same relative area. They may end up working together on a case in the future. She was starting to feel a little anxious again. If she had gotten on the bad side of a colleague on the first day they met, she would be at a loss on what to do. This wasn't going to go on her record was it?
