It was the first time she was able to wander around without being on the leash of her parents, it was quite the feeling to wander around again even if it was in the huge concrete prison school. She was actually quite excited to be enrolled, after being locked up in their small apartment it was a nice change-up. Plus, unlike the rest of japan that she saw in the concrete jungle, there was a lot of TREES! It was no secret that Prism was a lover of nature, so it was pleasant to think of places in the trees she could porch on to bask in the sunlight. A luxury that she has lost since coming to this new nation.
Prism was at the gates, she was in a very basic black one-piece jumpsuit that clung tightly to her skin with some costume alterations that looked a bit handmade to adjust for her large tail. Her arms were exposed, except for some custom gloves hiding her claws, showing her glittering and multi-colored scales that adorned a large portion of her body. Though, she had some glasses on it hardly hide her particularly separated eyes that were on the side of her face not to mention they were quite large for a normal human; after all she was a chameleon. "Hmm, tour it is only six days before classes start. Dis ting is going to be fun, I lus a wandering", she said with a giddy voice in english, with a rather deep voice pronouncing every word quite singularly.

Today was a rather big day for Misako, and she was extremely excited for it. It was only six days before the classes started at U. A. High, and the school had told them that they were free to come and tour the facilities. Misa was happy she found that letter before her parents, or they would have insisted on coming along and walking her through it and making sure it was up to their standards. Gods, they could be overbearing. She loved them, though, so it was just something she'd have to put up with it seemed.
So she dressed up, real casual because she didn't want to look like she was trying too hard. A long sweatshirt with a big design on the front and long black jeans. The school itself was beautiful to her, but she wasn't really an unbiased judge. Misa was easily impressed with the lifestyle and the livelihood of honest heroes. So as she approached the school, her wide eyes were star struck. That's when she heard the voice ahead of her. It sounded like a foreigner, but definitely gave the impression of a fellow newbie! Awesome!
"Hey," she called out, running up behind Prism, "hey, I couldn't help but overhear you. I wanted to know if, maybe... you were an incoming first year?"
Awkward. Why was she always so awkward at these things? She couldn't win, it felt like. She awkwardly stopped, about a foot from the other girl and scratched the back of her head. "Well, uhm... not trying to be strange or anything. It's just... I'm a first year too and... well, I wanted to tour the place today but I wasn't sure where to start. Maybe we could... go together?"
Yeah, way to go Misa. You really brought it back there.

Niji Uta looked outside the window of her limo, looking at the passing buildings. She watched as the people was walking to their destination for today. They all seem to have a sense of purpose, as though they were moving forward in their lives by doing the same thing every single day. Mustafa definitely more straightforward than her life in Tokyo City. The streets there were always noisy with people going in different directions, seeming as though they had no real conclusion as to where they were going or what they were doing. What was she doing?
"Uta-san." Jeeves, her butler and guardian broke the cream-haired girl's thoughts. "We will be approaching the academy soon. I have all of your schedules and essentials that you will need for your entry." Jeeves has been with Uta for almost twenty years, faithfully serving the family's lineage. He was the only family she had left, which is why this change was difficult for her. She felt as though she was going to be all alone in this new world with no one she could depend on. "They should have your dorm ready for you when you arrive. Also, I have taken the liberty of setting up a small account for you in case you need funds during your time there."
"Do I really have to go, Jeeves?" She looked at her butler with sadness showing in her yellow eyes. "I could still attend and stay home. I don't need to really live on campus. Plus, who will keep you company?" She was trying to find an excuse to get out of it. She didn't mind attending the hero course at UA. It was the fact she would be living away from her only family she had left. Will Jeeves be okay on his own?
"Do not worry about me, my lady," Jeeves replied with a smile. "I will have plenty to keep me busy. I have to make sure the manor stays in shape and make sure that all affairs are in order." He looked away, a bit of sadness in his eyes. "Even though it has been six years since everything has happened, your father's work must be up kept. Also, having a chance to live among your peers can prove beneficial for you. Making new friends is always important."
"I had friends, Jeeves," Niji looking back out the window. "We all know how that turned out." It's sad really. The only time people remember her was from the Uta Incident. Not from her time as Symphony, the eight-year-old girl band that was just getting started in Japan. Not for her father, who was on his way to becoming a great scientist and helping the unification of quirkers and people alike. No. What people remember her for is the sole survivor of the Uta Incident. The day where her father and her seven friends died in explosion cause by a madman who was jealous of her father getting all the attention.
"This a chance to move forward from that," Jeeves said, preparing the young girl's book bag. "Sometimes you need to get away from what reminds you of the pain and heal. Your story may not have such a happy beginning but that does not make you who you are, it is the rest of it- who you choose to be. You are choosing the life of a hero to make a difference and continue your father's legacy. And that is what is important. That is what defines Niji Uta."
The ride to the school felt as though it would take forever. Niji was definitely anxious to say the least. She sat in silence thinking about herself as a person. She was still happy and joyful- in front of people. But when she was alone, she felt the survivor's guilt crashing on her. The weight of not being able to save anyone too much to bear. That is why she joined the academy. To be able to save those who can't save themselves. And to continue making inventions. She had picked up her father's scientific habits although his field was different than hers. She had a knack with working and creating gadgets. She still wasn't sure if she would join the support class however.
After a while, Jeeves broke the silence. "Maybe while you are here, you can try to pursue your career as singer." This took her by surprise. She hadn't sung in over six years. It brought back too many painful memories. "I don't know if I could," she started. "I don't feel the same as I use to about it." "It's still worth a try," Jeeves chimed in. "You still have the voice for it. Plus who says you can't be a hero, a scientist and singer all in one. Really by the end of the day, it is all how you manage yourself and how much determination you have."
The limo stopped in front of the gates of UA. "Ah, we have made it," Jeeves said sadly. He didn't want to see Niji go but he knew that she must be able to do this. It was the only way. "The headmaster knows about you and... other things. So don't be to upset. it is their job to know about their students." He handed her bag as she stepped out the limo. "Remember to call when you have settled in, Lady Uta. Your dorm has been set up to your liking. And one more thing..." Jeeves smiled at her. "Have fun. Make friends. Be a kid." And with their exchange of goodbyes, the limo pulled away, leaving Niji in front of the school's gates.
"What do I do now?" She said to herself. She had flattened the wrinkles in her yellow shirt and skirt and adjusted her rainbow-note hair pins in her cream-colored hair. The best way to go about it was to wait for someone to come up and show her around. She sat on the bench with a small smile on her face. When was the last time she sang? There was no one around, so... She pulled out her phone and selected an instrumental track she put together. She begin to hum and then she started to sing the lyrics.
Each word was filled with passion and soul. She let her voice flow and let the words take hold. She continue to sing until someone came up.

Kiersa took a slow breath as she made her way up the hill towards her new life for the next three years, tightening her grip on her brown shoulder bag's strap even as she pulled a large black suitcase along beside her. Her mother had sorted out the train tickets for her to reach Yueei, and had even set up a small bank account for her to use in case she needed to get anything whilst she was there despite Kiersa's muted protests against it. The blonde shook her head and sighed, pausing in her climb towards the school.
She let go of the suitcases handle for a moment and slapped both her cheeks in order to get herself to focus on the here and now. "Mother's putting everything she has into this, so I can't let her down." she declared, blinking as the sound of rolling wheels reached her ears. Kiersa looked beside her and blinked as the suitcase had begun to roll back down the hill after she'd let it go! "Eeep! No, no, no, no, no!" she cry-squeaked, giving chase after the errant luggage. Thankfully it hadn't gone too far and Kiersa resumed her climb, a limousine passing her by as she made her way up to the front gates.
As she approached, she could hear someone singing a lovely song. Before long the blonde was able to make out a girl about her age, sitting on a bench as being the source of the melody. She must be here to be a student as well. Kiersa thought to herself, remaining quiet until either the girl finished singing, or someone interrupted her. She was definitely not going to be the one to do so, seeing as that would not only be highly rude, but the way the girl sang... it was quite moving to listen to.

Prism was basking in the sunlight that creaked through the sun joyfully, almost forgetting for a second that she was at the school; remembering the days of when she used to adventure into the forests not so long ago. The memory of the fragrance of the great outdoors still vivid in her body, it was almost relaxing to her. However, the sunbathing would't last forever it seemed. A woman, no a girl around Prism's own age ran up behind Prism a bit to her own surprise. She was speaking Japanese, not that it was all that surprising given this was Japan but she was far from well versed within the language. After all, she had only been to the country for two months with some intensive training she only understood a butchering amount of basics. She was honestly surprised at the fact she was able to get a 70 on her last Japanese test, honestly she expected a flat 20. Now the fun part, was trying to understand the girl in-front of her. Closing her reptilian eyes, after glancing Misa's way, she began to try and take apart the sentences that the young girl muttered and formulate a proper response.
"Hello, I no receptionist of first years, I not work here. You have me confused", she said in response to her question, in a violently butchered Japanese that could easily expose her elementary-level Japanese. You may ask, where did receptionist come from? With all of her divine wisdom and intelligence (Or there lack of) she knew that receiving had multiple meanings. With her divine wisdom and elementary-level skills she determined receiving meant receptionist in this case. With a tilt of her head, she looked at the girl with a bit of a confused face. "I Prism, student here", she said as she looked at her hoping she said the right words. It was a bit of a headache how confusing it was in comparison to English and Swahili.

It quickly became apparent that the girl Misa had approached was not from around these parts. The way she responded made her chuckle a bit awkwardly, she'd never met someone who didn't know Japanese. Was it rude to talk slower? It felt like it would be rude. She wasn't sure what else to do that. "What? No no no, that's not what I meant. Ano, uhm... you're not from around here, huh?" Misa looked around quickly, wondering if maybe there was someone else who could help them out. She didn't want to leave the foreigner along, and she definitely didn't want to be the leader of the tour... hm... choices choices. "Listen, let's help each other out? We can find other first years and get help I'm sure. Maybe even a tour guide! Oh, by the way, my name," she pointed at her chest, "is Misa. It's really nice to meet you, Prism. I hope we can be friends!"
Once that was settled, Misa offered a hand to the foreigner and would lead them back to the front a bit where she'd look for other newbies. Just in time to hear the high pitched "Eeep! No, no, no, no, no!" The cry-scream of a true damsel in distress. Misa's head turned over to spot the poor girl chasing her rolling suitcase downhill. It was unfortunate for the girl, but Misa was too far to provide any kind of support really so she just stayed and watched. Luckily, the stranger got to it before it could get too far away. Misa looked to Prism with a smile. "I think they're first years too! Or at least they can help us get started. Let's go check it out, alright?"
Misa would head down towards the girl, jogging a bit until she heard the singing. It was excellent, and almost made her think of Elise's singing. Almost. Elise was still an excellent and unique sound that nobody would really be able to mimic. That, or Misa was a bigger fan girl than she thought she was. Either way, she started towards the singing and stood next to the girl who'd almost lost her bag. She gave a light nudge to the strangers elbow, whispering so as to not disturb the beautiful singing. "Hey, are you a first year?"
She didn't have to worry about whispering for long though, as the song seemed to wrap up just after they'd gotten there. Misa perked up, clapping her hands from behind the mysterious songstress. "That was really good! Have you ever thought of trying to go professional?"

'I miss you, guys,' she thought to herself, as she sang the last few notes of the song. Her heart still ache even after these years. Her friends that she thought she would have forever in her life, gone. Her eyes were close and she didn't know that there was a three-person crowd gathered around her. When she opened her eyes, she froze for a second. She didn't think anyone was nearby, and she thought that she would be able to put away her music before anyone did come up. Niji let out a small 'Eek' when she saw them.
One girl had pale skin and her cheeks were wide and soft looking. At first glance she looked a little young to be here and she had a very gentle smile. She's short, petite, and strangely light weighted if anyone tried to pick her up. Her brown hair barely reached her shoulders in length and it looked messy but cute. The other girl that was following her was a very petite and colorful girl, with beautifully and vibrant scales adorning her body, from what it seem to be, in every location. The only part that didn't seem to be covered was her face, which had a few colorful scales on it and she had a six foot tail with same colorful scales. Another unique thing about her appearance was her eyes, being abnormally big and reptilian like with very vibrant and unusual colors adorning them. The last girl that came up had straight blonde hair that came down to her waist in length and cover some of her forehead as well. Her hair seemed to almost stretch behind her, like a long flowing cape. She had round green soft eyes and very gentle smile.
"Um... Hello," Niji started, smiling nervously. "No I have not considered becoming a professional. I was just messing around." She was lying. She had tried to make singing a career seven years ago. Her and her friends at the age of eight once formed a local band called Symphony. Most people thought that the eight young girls could make it to the big times.
However, fate had other plans. Plans that Niji tried her best not to relieve. In time, people had forgotten about the group and her father's work as a scientist. All she had was a small fortune from it. But even that reminded her of so much sadness. Money couldn't bring back the dead. So she gave up singing and tried to focus on being a scientist like her father- only difference was she found a passion with building tech. Jeeves had tried multiple times to get her to sing in a crowd, but the truama from the loss of her friends and her father was too much.
Niji mentally shook away the bad thoughts and put on a bright smile. "My name is Niji Uta. What's yours?" she asked the girls.

The blonde gave a small involuntary eep at the nudging of her elbow by the other girl, not noticing her approach it seems as she had been so entranced by the song the other girl had been singing. Kiersa nodded at the question about if they were a first year. As the song came to a close, she clapped as well. "Well umm... for messing around it was umm... I thought it was quite excellent miss." Kiersa said, bowing her head towards the apparent amateur songstress.
As the girls were all now standing together as a group, Kiersa began to take stock of her fellow school mates. The one who had been singing, and the girl who'd asked if she was a first year seemed to be relatively normal. If a little on the short side in the latters case. The third girl however was very colourful, quite vibrant one could say, and had scales along with a rather large tail.
Kiersa couldn't help but catch herself staring for a second before blushing with embarrassment and bowing very low in apology to the girl. "Sorry, so sorry, I didn't mean to stare so. Please forgive me." she said rather quickly. When Niji introduced herself, Kiersa brought herself back to an upright position. "My name is Kiersa Bec." she said, with a small curtsey. "Umm... I'm guessing we're all new here then?" she asked of the other girls.

Prism was confused quite a bit by the young girl, however, after she spoke to her for a little she was gaining the understanding that this girl was not asking if she was the guide to this facility. Eventually, she was understanding that she was just looking for fellow first years to explore the campus with, which made a lot more sense to Prism in her mind, giggling a bit at the misunderstanding that she caused. "I sorry", she said as she looked towards the location that Misa was talking about and started to follow Misa towards the singing female and the other women that looked like one of those 'missionary nuns' that frequented her village every now and then; though she was obviously not a nun if she was here. "Hello, friends", the chameleon waved at the new two faces after they finished speaking and stood there quiet observing the three curiously, she did not get out much into now so the new faces interested her immensely after all. "I Prism Laverna", she said as she saw they were introducing names and through it would only be respectful to return the same grace to them all. "Japenese people bow a lot", she giggled, not understanding the culture values.

Misa was glad that Prism followed her to the other students. It would have been a bit awkward if she'd ran up alone, she thought. The new people seemed nice though, and as the singing lady explained she hadn't considered going professional Misa nodded. She had a feeling that there was more to that story than met the eye, but she didn't want to pry into a strangers personal life so instead she just smiled and nodded. "Well if you ever did try to go professional, I'm sure you'd do really well!" Misa said, flashing a friendly smile and decided it'd be best to leave it at that for now.
Next came introductions, and Misa made sure to make a mental not of everyone's name so she wouldn't have to ask again. It was nice that everyone was so friendly already, it seemed like making friends wouldn't be hard at all for Misa. That settled one fear, at least. "My name is Misako Suzuki. Please call me Misa though, everyone does. It's nice to meet you guys. Are you first years?" A silly question, maybe, because the school year hadn't even really started yet. First years were allowed to tour the campus though, so it was the most logical guess. "I ran into Prism here on my way in. We were going to tour the school a bit, but it turns out she doesn't speak Japanese so good. I don't suppose either of you speak English better? I'm not very good at it."
Misa looked back to the school after speaking, wondering what the best spot to start their tour would be. Probably classrooms or the dorms maybe? It might be best just to walk in and see where the halls took them to start, though. Either way, she was excited. When everyone was ready, touring as a group sounded fun to her!

Niji appreiciated the compliments, but she didn't know she would be singing again anytime soon. It just kind of happens from time to time when she was in thought or needed to relieve stress. She use to attempt the professional scene when she was younger. Back when she had her friends. But times change. And nothing is forever. Niji knew this now more than ever. Even with the people that surrounding her now might not be her friends forever. Three years from now they all will go they seperate ways and do other careers. Niji had accepted this way of thinking; it was more comfortable to prepare for the worse.
However, despite all of her thoughts, she put on a friendly smile. "It's nice to meet you all. I was waiting for someone to show us around, but no one has came yet." Niji looked around to see if any of the older kids had made it yet. "I guess we would have to figure it out for ourselves." Misa stated that Prism couldn't speak Japanese very well and was wondering if anyone knew English. "No," Niji responded. "But I think I can still help." She pulled out her phone and turn on her translation app. She wasn't sure how many different languages were here being that UA was one of the few hero schools in the world. She sat the settings to English to Japanese and vice versa. "The app will help us convert her English into Japanese and vice versa," Niji explained. "So now we should be able to understand one another. Niji looked around and asked "So now what do we do?"

Kiersa shook her head at Miss Suzuki's question about if anyone here knew English. "I... I know Japanese Sign Language, and French apart from Japanese but... that's about it I'm afraid. Sorry." she explained apologetically, followed by a sigh. It hadn't occurred to her that she might need to know English as a fluent language for this school. She only knew French because of her mother, and the sign language because she had been an interpreter for Rin and one of her friends.
Thankfully though Miss Uta appeared to have a solution to the problem with a translation application on her mobile phone. Although how accurate it would be was an entirely different debate altogether. But Kiersa didn't voice this thought since at least it was a solution rather than hoping Miss Laverna stumble onto the right words... or played charades which could go horribly wrong as well. Now the question had turned to what they were supposed to do...
"Umm... might we try going to the front desk? Schools usually have one don't they?" she offered as a possible route for the group to take. "I mean... we have to sign in yes? I think?" Kiersa asked, looking around at the rest of the girls if they maybe had a better idea. The enrollment papers had probably already been sorted by their parents or guardians, but they should at least let the school itself know that they were here. Right?

"You lead way", she said in broken japanese pointing at Misaka making her the temporary leader of this band of bandits. She gave out a toothy grin and then put her hands behind her butt and leaned in a bit as she walked towards them and seemed to inspect the people a bit as if she was interested in them. "I prism, Nice to meet new friends", she said in a broken japanese. She leaned back and looked up at the sky and seemed a bit bouncy in her movements. "Leader, what to do?', she said teasingly to misaka as she then turned her head to the others. Firstly, the singing girl whom was chatting with kiersa not to long ago. "Hi, hmm you sing like mama", she laughed a bit trying to usher in some small talk with the other two. "Very smooth vice", she added on, trying to explain what she meant by saying that she sounded like her mother. Twirling about "You sing too? you together?", she said as she took a gander at Kiersa trying to figure out whom she was and trying to include Kiersa into the small talk that she was starting with the singing girl.

As the crew made their way through the gates, Niji couldn't help but wonder if this school would help her get over some things. Her life was still in a complicated mess and she didn't know where to begin with sorting it out. The benefactors were expecting an answer about the wealth that was left with her dad and her future plans. Jeeves wanted to try singing again. And the deaths of the people she once loved haunt her every dream. To say that her life was in mess was an understatement. She needed to find a solution and fast.
But first finding someone to help them around the school would be a good start. Prism suggested that Misaka should take the lead, showing the way on where to go. They probably didn't know where to head to first but it didn't hurt to walk around. They already cleared to come in anyway.
As they traveled around a bit, Niji could see the dorms off in the distance with a couple of other buildings surrounding it. This was going to be her home for the next three years. And for some reason, Niji started to feel a little homesick all of a suddent.

When Prism asked Kiersa if she sang or was with Miss Uta, the blonde girl shook her head. "N-No I'm a-afraid I don't sing, not l-like she can I m-mean..." she said, "A-And I've o-only just met Miss Uta t-today." Kiersa explained, hoping that her stammering didn't hinder the chameleon girls understanding of what she had just said.
She soon caught sight of the dorms in the distance away from the school, and her mind immediately started to go through the inventory of items she had packed as she made sure she hadn't forgotten to bring anything. Kiersa really didn't want to inconvenience anyone, mostly her mother, with trying to retrieve something that she should have already brought with her to UA.
The thought of living here at the school gave her a similar pit in her stomach to what Niji was feeling, and Kiersa wondered if anyone else here was going to be living at the dorms for the next three years? It was entirely possible, and the next thought to cross her mind was if she would be sharing a room with any of the girls here, or someone else entirely?
The thought of sharing a room for the next three years with a complete stranger made her feel a little nervous... But so did the idea of living completely on her own as well.
