A new Era is beginning! This new era is a time of Heroes! Despite said heroes beginning to pop up what felt like overnight it didn't seem to discourage the actions of the criminals of the world. If anything they seemed to see it as a challenge and every time a new hero made their debut two more villains did the same in response! If that wasn't enough it seemed as the society at large wasn't completely on board with the supposed heroes and vigilantes who were acting to keep them safe often seeing them as doing more harm then good. It also seemed as the villains were beginning to outnumber and out gun the heroes. That was until the creation of schools specifically designed to train the next generation of heroes.One of these young heroes in training is named Angel Surami,but is better known by another name! She is known as the Angel of Mercy! This young woman while about to wrap up her second year at U.A. has come to realize that the new world and era they find themselves in needs something more then just heroes. It needs symbols that the civilians that they are charged to protect can look to for inspiration, a sense of peace and a feeling of safety! The Angel of Mercy also realized that no individual hero is capable of taking on all of the evils of their country let alone the world! What the world needs is a team! This lead Angel to think about what symbolic notions or beliefs could be used to not only inspire the world,but what could be considered the building blocks of society if not the world at large. After some serious deliberation she came up with seven traits that could be used to lift up those that the new generation of heroes aimed to protect. Seven powerful and important symbolic traits that she thought that seven special individuals could embody as the Paragons of Society! The Paragons of Society Courage: The unwillingness to back down from a fight no matter how difficult it is,how stacked the odds are against you or how scared you are of the outcome as long as there are those around you who need your help! This person is willing to fight until the bitter end even if the odds are bad and they are fighting alone. They refuse to surrender or give in as long as there are people who need their help. (Candidate of title: @desmoshi )  Hope: The undying belief that no matter how dark things get,how many lives are lost or how long the fight goes on that everything will work out and that the forces of good will prevail and win the day and justice will be served. This person doesn't have to be a complete ray of sunshine all of the time,but truly believes deep down that no matter how bad things get that light will continue to shine in the world. (Candidate of Title: TBA) Destiny: Destiny is often described as a series of events or a path that was always meant to happen. That from the very beginning of life itself there is a set path to a determined outcome that can not be changed. The paragon of Destiny however believes different. They fight to forge their own path and shape their own destiny despite the world and the people in it telling them what they should be or will become. This individual strives to help others shape their own path just as they have their own (Candidate of Title: TBA) Truth: Truth is many things to many people,but in this context it's something very special. Fighting for Truth is to fight against the misconceptions,lies,stereotypes and deceptions that society tries to tell us or that we even try to tell ourselves at times just because they are easier and safer for us to believe then the sometimes harsh truths of reality. The paragon of Truth however believes that no matter how much the truth can hurt others or even themselves it should always be told because that is a path to true freedom and peace. As the old saying goes "The Truth will set you free" (Candidate of title:TBA) Honor: To act with honor is to stick to one's code or creed of being of service to others and trying to better the world and the people in it no matter how difficult it may be or what it may cost you. You will happily sacrifice in the name of Honor and doing what's right for those you protect. The paragon of Honor is an individual with a strict moral code that no matter what it costs them they will never break. Their code of Honor is part of what defines them and will gladly wear it as a badge as they carry out their duty of protecting and serving those around them. (candidate of title:Feng "Fei" Yao ) Humanity: What does it mean in a world of super powers capable of reshaping the world to have humanity? To have Humanity is to have compassion,empathy and understanding for one's fellow man while not hanging one's advantages over those below you. The holder of this title believes that despite that the fact that they may be seen as better then those around them that they are no better. They treat everyone around them as equals and in this world of super powered individuals,heroes and villains they remain humble and down to Earth and will go out of their way to help anyone who needs them no matter how rich,poor,weak or strong they are. (candidate of title:Kumoko Joro )  Love: To be the paragon of love is to be willing to show even the cruelest individual or the smallest of beings empathy,kindness,understanding,mercy and compassion. They strive to end the cruelty,bigotry and hatred of the world by bringing the many people's of said world together despite their differences. They have room in their heart for anyone who might need them and is willing to offer a hand to any lost soul who may happen upon them and may need guidance. They long for unity and a world where the people of the world are all kind and compassionate to one another no matter how much said paragon has to personally sacrifice to make it happen. (Candidate of title:Angel Surami )  (OOC: Now I will be completely up front and admit that this idea is not completely my own. I was inspired to form a team not only from All Might's nature as the symbol of peace,but from hero teams of old like the Justice League or the Avengers. The paragon idea itself and the traits I got from the most recent CW arrowverse crossover "Crisis on infinite Earths". While the base idea is not fully my own it got me thinking that it could rather easily be adapted/modified not only for my hero academia,but for the site itself as in the history lore of the site the age of heroes is still relatively fresh and crime is still relatively unchecked in terms of scale aside from the few pro heroes already out and about and the local law inforcement. It got me thinking that as things progress the villains will get wise and their plans more large in scale to the point that no one hero can face such crisis alone and thus a need for a team would be born and with the first graduating class of U.A. just a year off it would be the perfect opportunity to implement such a idea. Beyond the physical need for a team of unified heroes comes a need for a sense of safety and trust among the civilians. Right now public opinion is very mixed about the whole pro hero concept so I believe having a team of individuals that not only could inspire other heroes and help bring them together when needed but can give a sense of peace and trust to those they protect is a very wise Idea.
