It was a long shot.
This whole operation was one big Hail Mary, conceptually and practically. They were doing something that sounded outright asinine on paper, with just the slightest hint that it might work. That it might actually turn their little gang into a movement ready to sweep this twisted nation. Despite them all having been made aware of the risks, Sunaho had yet to hear any objections from the main forces of her gang. Even her wise right-hand man, Matsuda, had been the one to encourage Sunaho to execute the plan. Her other men were fiercely loyal, but their faith was no reassurance. The price of failure was high, and the leader of the Dust Devils wanted to hedge her risks, no matter the monetary cost.
There were two parts to their little siege. Forcing their way into the TSE Building, and holding that position while their concert played out. Neither would be anything close to easy. Security was sure to be high, and there was every risk of Heroes and police dropping in once things got serious. Even though recent deals had armed her Devils with enough equipment to take on regular cops and security, they weren’t near being able to take on any heavy hitters. Sunaho herself was ready to fend them off, but she alone was too great a chance to be taking.
Besides, she needed to be on the stage too…
Lacking in muscle, Sunaho had ended up needing to find outside help. Hopefully, the effects of this plan’s success would draw more power into her Dust Devils, but for now… Third parties were necessary.
”Look alive. They should be here soon. If they swipe at the cash, let me handle them. Only shoot if they slip by and start running.”
The green-haired woman commanded her men as they waited in that empty lot. Right now they were situated between two empty warehouses on the farthest end of the Port of Tokyo, at the most barren terminal, in the dead of night. After Shinagawa had ended up poorly for certain individuals, a lot of this area had been dropped and abandoned, making it the perfect place for any kind of shady dealings.
Sunaho was waiting in the empty space, illuminated by the lights of the dingy pickup-truck behind her. On its tray, only one man stood, holding in his hands an abnormal rifle. It was high-tech, was about all that one could discern from a glance. With his bovine skull mask concealing his face, Matsuda kept a watchful eye over the area, as Sunaho waited to meet their guests.
She only knew the two of them by their handles in some darker corners of the web. So she had no clue what to expect of them. All she’d done was give them the location for a meetup, and an offer to show them what they had to gain by helping her. Clad in her usual worn clothing, the green-haired woman gazed listlessly ahead, waiting to find out the inverse question.
Sunaho wanted to see what these thugs had to offer her.
They’d arrive shortly, both being ‘interviewed’ at once, despite the fact that they weren’t connected. It was just easier this way. Of course, they’d been told of this, to avoid any mishaps… Wouldn’t want either one killing the other, after all.
Well, not yet, anyway.

This was new. Jun had accepted all sorts of jobs before. Through physical contacts; friends of associates and known middlemen. But this was the first time he'd accepted a job through digital means. Accepting was not entirely accurate. This was more of an interview really. Nevertheless it was a new experience. He was in unfamiliar territory. Without any prior referrals he knew nothing of his would be employers. Or what sort of job was to be expected. He'd have to gleam as much as he could from this first meeting alone. An interesting prospect.
This could potentially all be a trap of some sort. Someone just looking to get him, or anyone, isolated for them to have their depraved fun. Stranger things happened in this world. Stranger and more gruesome. It didn't deter Jun however. He was confident he could deal with such a situation should it arise. But he was most confident that, regardless of the outcome, tonight would be an entertaining one.
Jun approached the meeting spot at a leisurely pace. Hands tucked into the pockets of his plain jeans, a simple black hoodie kept the feminine boy warm in the cold night. He came to provide 'muscle'. But his small stature and slender build presented an image opposite what that word brought to mind. But in this age of quirks, appearances were often deceiving.
He saw only two people. The one in front, a young woman as slender as Jun, or near enough. And the one up top, wearing some sort of animal mask, the primal aesthetic of which clashed with the futuristic rifle in his hands.
Already this was interesting.
"Good evening." Jun began in a friendly tone, with an equally friendly smile. "Will someone else be joining us?" Jun remembered another responding to the query in the message board. But whether they'd gotten a private message or not he was unaware. "Or do we just get started?" His smile turned to a smug grin as behind him, from underneath his hoodie, fleshy tendrils tipped and spotted with blades and pikes of bone rose into the air for a moment before planting themselves in the ground. Jun dropped to an organic throne, the spines making way for their master. "Either way, I'm getting comfortable."
Jun swung one leg over the other, planted an elbow on a fleshy armrest and tilted his head against his knuckles. All the while observing how the pair reacted to his provocation, if they reacted at all. Whatever it was, it would be informative. Information was worth revealing his quirk for, he felt, especially since he kept parts of it hidden still. The eyes and mouths that would otherwise fade in and out among the biomass he willed to restrain themselves.
Besides, he just couldn't help himself to a little bit of fun.

From the darkness a shape began to emerge, a dark shadow emerging into the flat lights of the truck. It made no attempt to hide its' approach, a heavy tread that announced every step. Almost stalking out of the darkness, the tall figure of Nakamura Rei emerged into view, the large and muscular woman carrying her Kanabo at a ready position resting on her shoulder, much like a baseball bat. She walked forward fearlessly, eyes flicking from the small green-haired girl to the masked man with the gun on the back of the truck, and then to the even smaller girl that had just arrived, before focusing her attention on the girl. She was, after all, the one most likely to be in charge of this little meeting, based on the fact that she wasn't taking guard duty, and had officially gotten here first.
Well, that and Rei had heard her giving instructions to the man.
Having had nothing better to do, the large woman had gone to the meeting location while it was still daylight, scouted the area, and then put together a nest in one of the abandoned warehouses where she napped until she was woken by the sound of the truck and its' light. The only reason she hadn't arrived earlier was that she decided to stay laying down for a bit... well that, and it wasn't the time for the meeting. But now they were getting started, and it was obviously time to get this show on the road.
"Someone's joining you, chibi-san" she said as she came up behind Jun, her expression impassive as she walked past the bizarre biological chair that the little girl had made for herself, keeping the unknown child to her right for easy defence should she end up attacked. She wasn't particularly impressed with the frivoulous quirk use that had formed the rather unsettling 'throne', but she didn't say anything about it, instead turning her attention to the slightly taller green-haired woman who had arranged this little meeting.
"Chose a boring place for this, there's more entertaining shit-holes to arrange an interview for jobs," she commented, lifting a bottle to her lips and swigging from it, the warmth of the alcohol barely registering in her. At her size, she needed a whole lot more to feel anything, a fact that was quite annoying most of the time. Still, it wasn't time for revelry, but rather business. "So, what's the job, and what's the pay?" Rei wasn't the sort to beat around the bush.

This wasn't her first time recruiting outsiders for some of the gang's work, but it was usually much lower level stuff. Odd-jobbers who made their living doing grunt work for the local forces. Something told Sunaho that the lot she'd gotten over the encrypted chatroom were different than that. Well, most Quirked guns-for-hire were usually of a pretty high caliber, given how competitive the market was...
Given that, Sunaho wasn't ready to judge them by their looks. After all, she herself didn't exactly strike the most imposing figure, looking still almost as delicate as she had in her idol days. Loose clothing and a mean look usually covered that up though. The first mercenary to arrive didn't have their petite form quite as well obscured, however. They approached with a friendly smile, or as friendly as one could seem in this shady locale.
"Sup." Sunaho welcomed simply, nodding her head towards the person of indeterminate gender. Matsuda remained on lookout, looking watchful but not jumpy. The old man had seen plenty of these deals go down, so he wasn't really nervous or anything. Besides, this kid didn't seem too threatening...
Smug little brat, Sunaho surmised right away. Quick to show off his Quirk, making himself a chair out of... Whatever the hell those were. The green-haired woman grinned at them, liking the attitude. Sure, they might just be a bit full of themselves, but if they had some kind of ego to hold onto, then she could use that to make sure they did the job well. Besides, Sunaho liked confidence.
She was about to answer the smaller merc before their much larger counterpart turned up. A figure straight out of Japanese mythology strolled up from behind Jun, seeming much more direct by comparison. They were both making a very strong impression, that much was certain.
"You want entertainment, I can make it up to you after this job." Sunaho declared, eyeing the Oni as she jumped right to the point. The green-haired woman put her hands in her pockets, looked over them both once more, before deciding to get right into things.
"First things first. Names. Not your real ones, of course." It would probably make communication a bit easier, and hopefully make negotiations a bit smoother. Sunaho went first, however, gesturing to herself and then the armed figure behind her.
"Sunaho. Matsuda. We're with the Dust Devils."
Once introductions were out of the way, Sunaho would begin pacing in front of them, getting right to the point of what exactly the job was.
"Right. As for the job... Well, it's nothing too complicated. I need you to help me and the Devils get into a place, keep control of it for a short while, and then get out. Simple enough. I won't even get mad if you kill any pigs or Heroes in the process. Civvies are another story. Oh, and there's one more catch."
She grinned to them, cocksure and eager to get these mercs on board.
"The place I want you to help me take over is the Tokyo Stock Exchange." If he hadn't had the mask on, one might've heard Matsuda huff with amusement. "And the reason I'm taking it over is to throw a concert. Well, it's also a riot, really. Not that it changes your job much. I need muscle that can help me and my Devils with security, and protect us while we make some noise and get our message out there, before we escape. Like I said, it's simple."
Whether they laughed at her plan or not, Sunaho didn't care. This was the dream of her and her Devils for too long now. Too long to just give up at any point.
"Pay depends on what you can provide. In lieu of a cover letter, I wanna hear what you both have to offer. I wanna hear why I should trust the safety of my Dust Devils with you." For some reassurance to the Quirks-for-hire, Sunaho would gesture back towards Matsuda, who reached for a duffel bag at his feet. The masked man tossed it out towards Sunaho, hopefully giving enough of an idea to the mercs about what was inside...

His little taunt had no effect. Both the girl and the man up top staying still and cool. Evidently not their first rodeo and clearly capable of staying calm. Jun wasn't sure if he was relieved or disappointed.
Few things got under Jun's skin. Clad as he was, head to toe, in the armor of smug satisfaction that came from wholeheartedly believing oneself to be better than everyone else. No matter the jape or jab, it had little to no effect on the silver haired young man. So it would stand to reason that he should have built a particular resistance to the most common of observations. Contrary to that, the incessant remarks on his height seemed to, over the years, have drilled themselves clean through the armor. It was more tiresome than anything, to be constantly reminded of what he already knew.
Jun didn't let it show and casually looked to his side, to study the new arrival. A beast of a woman she seemed. Built like a lighthouse and chugging alcohol straight from the bottle. It didn't seem to affect her much. Most like owing to her abnormal size but perhaps she was merely a high functioning alcohol. That would make the mission interesting at the very least.
"Oh such a shame. Here I was hoping we'd become the best of friends." Jun remarked in casual mockery. "But if we must be so formal, Eldritch."
Sunaho and Matsuda. The latter didn't feel like much of a villain alias. More like your everyday typical alias. Jun didn't remark on it however. There was only so much prodding you could do before you weren't taken seriously.
Despite his lackadaisical demeanor, Jun took in every word of the briefing, if a clandestine meeting of lowlifes could be called a briefing. The stipulations on who was and was not fair game intrigued the effeminate boy. As did the choice of the term 'pig'. Were the Dust Devils a sort of idealists? If so this could turn out to be quite the entertainment indeed. A little disappointing to be so limited. But a little handicap was fine from time to time. Made the game more interesting. Besides she only mentioned killing, so presumably a few civilian hostages would be fine. Of course an empty threat had no real weight. But a few dead cops should give them some substance for sure.
All in all it seemed a fairly interesting endeavor. But then the details came rolling in. Tokyo Stock Exchange, concert, riot, something about a message, very clearly idealists by now. The easy grin Jun wore spread into a giddy smile with mischief glinting in his eyes. Try as he might to prevent it, Jun found himself letting out a small chuckle at the absurdity of it all.
"Simple she says." He muttered, suppressing a fit. "How delightfully ridiculous. Raiding the stock exchange for something as frivolous as a concert." Jun studied Sunaho for a moment as his wicked smile faded into his casual grin. "I think I like you already. Professional etiquette notwithstanding, I shall do whatever I am able to make this a reality." Though it was no doubt hard to tell, Jun was in fact being genuine. A job like this came around only once in a blue moon and the sheer absurdity of the headlines following the incident would make the whole thing worth it all on their own. Of course that didn't mean he wouldn't take the money.
Jun considered a moment on what he should reveal. Despite his eagerness to show off at the beginning, he wasn't about to lay all his cards on the table. But some of it they would learn anyway once the job began so there was little harm in sharing. "Well, you can already see what I have to offer." He began as his throne began moving, spike-tipped tendrils at the bottom detached themselves from the concrete below and carried the lounging villain, leaving small holes in the concrete as it went. "It's fairly straightforward all things considered and functions both in the thick of it or from the back providing support." The tendrils elongated, taking longer strides to demonstrate their range as he returned to his initial spot.
"Does that satisfy?" He looked over and gestured towards the dotted concrete. "It makes for quite the effective pig sticker. And it takes as good as it gives. Your previous devils will have little fear."

Draining the bottle in her left hand, Rei tossed it to the side casually as the green-haired woman explained the situation. Sunaho, Matsuda, Eldritch, unusual collection of pseudonyms, but what they wanted to call themselves had no real effect on her. "I'm called Yojimbo," she stated casually as the introductions came to a close, the name's meaning really speaking for itself in her mind. The briefing itself was fairly straightforward, which honestly was better than the beating around the bush many of her employers liked to do.
It seemed a relatively simple, if risky, job. Take a well known location, hold it just long enough to achieve a goal, and then leave, with minimal restrictions on who can and cannot be killed. She didn't much care either way, but the 'no civvies' rule seemed to indicate a group who had some sort of idealistic mindset, which might mean she was dealing with people who thought they could solve the world's ills with their rhetoric and ideals. Still, they weren't shy about killing, so it wouldn't be too much of a pain to work for them. The wannabe hero-cum-vigilante types she occasionally dealt with were way more annoying than that. This was something she could deal with.
The large woman whistled at the target location, one pale eyebrow raising slightly. This wasn't like a break and entry or anything, the stock exchange was busy, well in the clear, and would probably get a response by the authorities fairly quickly. That made things more interesting, and more risky (which was basically the same thing). "It's a simple plan, chibi-san," she remarked, her eyes not leaving Sunaho, "execution will be much rougher though." She certainly hoped there was more to this plan than just 'get in there and do our thing', it was fine if they weren't going to share just yet, but if that was as far as they had gotten then she was going to hit something.
Watching the small girl walk around on her ambomination-throne was vaguely sickening and curious at the same time, and she couldn't help but wonder at what it'd be like to fight the apparently dangerous tendrils that had left little craters in the concrete. The way the tendrils moved indicated they would be quite flexible and probably quite dangerous to get hit by. It'd be interesting, but now wasn't really the time to think about fighting a possible coworker for a job. Maybe later.
"I'm pretty much what you see is what you get," the large woman said with a shrug, her muscular frame fairly obvious to anyone with working eyes, "I can take it as good as I give it, and I'm no slouch in a fight." A casual swing of her right arm had the kanabo in her hand slam into the ground, creating a crater and cracking it in a larger diameter. Really, there wasn't much to say about what Rei could do, she was a straight forward kind of girl, and didn't have time to make things more complicated than they already were.
"I hope you have a more solid plan than what you've already outlined though, because there's a difference between keeping info from outsiders and not thinking shit through. You wanna hold the stock exchange for a bit, sure, but you're gonna need a good plan to stop whichever randomly overpowered hero decides to try and crash the party from showing up too soon. I'm strong, but I know when I'm outmatched, I'd rather not catch the hands of someone like Redhorn just because this wasn't thought out." She was nowhere near the abilities of the highly ranked hero and she knew it, despite their obviously similar quirks.
There's fighting, and there's getting your shit kicked in. Rei wasn't about that second one.

Eldritch and Yojimbo. Those were the names offered to Sunaho by her mercenary friends. The former was an interesting one, one that made sense with their Quirk. Sunaho supposed the fear factor it might have would be useful in intimidating their way into the stock exchange. The latter... Well, it was a good movie, so the green-haired woman could respect Yojimbo's taste. "Eldritch and Yojimbo... Got it..." The woman uttered, a hint of amusement in her voice. Names meant a lot in this business, though that sentiment wasn't often shared. She wondered how hard or easy it might be to get them to reveal their real names, but didn't see any point in trying right now. With their attention on her, Sunaho explained her plan, fully aware how they might view it. Plenty of these 'villains' scoffed at the idea of morals and ideals, a consequence of their haphazard lumping together, but Sunaho hadn't ever wavered in her own values. Her reasons for doing what she did had never changed, and likely never would, so she didn't much care for what thoughts they might have, so long as they were ready to get the job done. Although, she'd be lying if she said she didn't also think about trying to convince them over to her side, but that was the aim of her concert anyway, on a larger scale. The plan for the night itself was at least one Sunaho knew was going to be entertaining to a few, and was hoping the audacity of it might pull in the adrenaline-junkie types who weren't too fussed about risk as long as it also meant fun. Rei and Jun seemed to, to some degree or another, identify with that position at least a little bit. The absurdity quite clearly entertained 'Eldritch', who even chuckled and proclaimed the insanity of the strategy. He came down on her side at the end of it, with Sunaho returning his grin. "The incomprehensible, improbable and never-before-seen... Yeah, figured you'd be interested, Eldritch." The green-haired woman huffed. Despite his status as bit of a cocky brat, it was clear he was interested. Rei wasn't quite as vocal, but didn't seem to be too put off by it. Sunaho had learned a while ago, that when dealing with 'villains' in the age of Quirks, you could almost get them interested by offering any combination of fame, excitement, and money.
With that settled, Sunaho listened to hear her potential employees pitch themselves to her, with Eldritch going first, not showing too much but enough to satisfy the woman's curiosity. The mention of its ability to protect too was also of plenty interest. "I like the sound of that. If you got some good coverage, we'll have plenty of use for ya. Not just with security, but with locking the place down too." Sunaho mused. Next up was Yojimbo, who was even simpler with her demonstration. The woman was strong, the effortlessness with which she swung her club showing that quite plainly. "Never hurts to have more muscle. Particularly when we might need some of that brute force." Although Sunaho packed some power herself, she wasn't nearly as durable as some of her compatriots. She preferred a much more erratic and mobile assault.
They'd both sold themselves well enough, but that wasn't all to talk about, as Yojimbo voiced her own concerns with the plan. It was understandable to be so concerned, but Sunaho was ready for these questions. "Fair enough. I've been planning this a while, and although some of it's still waiting on intel from a friend of mine, I can at least answer how we're gonna deal with that when it comes." Sunaho said calmly. "I dunno how familiar you guys are with the area, but the TSE's got some notable features that make it pretty easy to hold down. For one, there's almost no visibility in from the outside. By design, of course. Means we'll be clear of anyone wanting a look in. Secondly, because it's situated right between a river and the highway, there's only really three outside points to lock down to stop any approach. Shouldn't be too hard, especially if my friend can help us appropriate their security equipment."
Now came the real kicker.
"Of course, having that advantageous position is just for if things go South. Something bigger to consider is that the TSE is full of rich, important people, plenty of closed off rooms, and little visibility from the outside. Shouldn't be too hard to sequester one of them away and get them to talk the Heroes into being cautious. As if being able to use one of them to tie up the Heroes in bureaucracy wasn't enough already... I've also conscripted a shapeshifter, who can make that even easier if we need them to."
The grin on her face was wide, as she tilted her head at Yojimbo in a querying manner. "That take care of those fears of years? If so, I'd say we've got our deal."

Yojimbo the red skinned beast of a woman named herself. Assuming the obvious reference it would seem to indicate some sense of honor in the brute. A detriment in this line of work but not unheard of. Everyone, mostly everyone, had at least some line they wouldn't cross. Jun had to wonder just how deep that honor ran, how picky was she with jobs? Anyone capable was a potential ally, or tool if you want to be specific, not that Jun saw a difference. But depending on their disposition they might end up being more trouble than they're worth. On the other hand they might be fun to mess with for a while.
"Oh is that so Oni-san? Thank you for the much needed clarification." Jun felt compelled to answer her pet name for him with his own. It was hardly meant to hurt or otherwise 'get to her' innocuous as it was. But it helped him distract himself from the persistent irritation her pet name brought about while seeming just like friendly banter.
"You figured you say?" Jun replied to Sunaho with a playful smile. "Then I'm hardly living up to my moniker."
Jun kicked back and listened without interruption to Sunaho's plan for their most audacious of concerts. It was clearly thought through, with an inherent safeguard and a contingency for that even in the form of a contract-shapeshifter. It was a little fuzzy on the subject of escape but Jun was at least confident in his own slipperiness so that hardly bothered him. All in all these Dust Devils were proving themselves an organized lot with clear potential for mayhem and upsetting the status quo. That at least, was worthy of merit. Depending on their activity in the future, things could wind up rather interesting indeed.
"Well, I'm satisfied, a deal it is indeed. How about a celebratory drink? If we're to work together why not get to know one another? Any takers?"
