APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY
Appearance:
When someone first meets Len they likely wouldn't imagine her as a dangerous mercenary. Standing at 1 meter and 40 centimeters tall Len would by all means easily be mistaken for a elementary school or young junior high school girl. A short and slender build girl with a slightly rounded face, it would not be an understatement that alongside her big pupils she has by all means a childishly innocent looking appearance.
When describing her further Len has a somewhat dark-tawny hair color which is kept in a boyish short cut, just don't dare to say it looks boyish because it's way too cute to be considered boyish. She is also known to frequently wear a combat uniform that consists of combat trousers that resemble cargo pants, and a long-sleeved combat shirt which fit her nicely. There are also long and narrow pouches on each side of her thighs which often carry her equipment like magazines with her. On top of that she wears high-laced short boots and a knit cap.
If something truly stands out about her? Then it is without a doubt the fact that her entire attire, and even her gun, a P90, are all dyed in a dusky pink which is tinged with brown tints to tone down the brightness a little.

Personality:
Those who seen Len, and experienced all facets of her nature will almost certainly agree that the mercenary they know is an enigmatic figure. Those who first meet her often label her as the classic gentlewoman, the stereotypical noblewoman who acts with a certain eloquence. Her cheerful and slightly playful demeanor tends to serve as an excellent means to interact with the younger crowds. Indeed, Len usually appears as a cheerful and well-mannered young girl whose kindness and suave attitude makes her easy to get along with.
To those who know her a little bit better, Len also shows a deeply ingrained sense of a personal code of honor, the type of woman who is incapable of letting a slight go by unpunished. She's surprisingly mature and understanding, often displaying an aptitude for listening to people, and share in their emotions as if they were her own. But she also seems incredibly loyal to those she calls her friends.
But above all, Len is an actor, and the earlier description is merely one of the countless masks she can put on if needed: The joker, the white knight, the kind elder sibling, the charming stranger and of course there's also the ruthless anti-hero. If there was a way to truly describe Len, then perhaps the following might be the most genuine description of her true nature, at least if she still possesses that:
They say a lion doesn't know fear, and that the heart of a lion beats within Len. Upholding with the descriptions of her heroic nature, Len is a brave and courageous individual. However, this trait, against all expectations was not a natural thing for the woman to possess. Rather, it unfolded during her time alongside her mentor Rebecca, the close camaraderie they held nurturing her growth into the woman she is today. Seeing her as an example in how she never cowered in the face of seemingly overwhelming odds or the fact she never was one to back off from a challenge, Len is the type of woman who upholds the virtue of courage and admires it in others. However, most important is the knowledge that she would consider the lack of it a flaw.
While her past might have unfolded in a way she had not desired, the fact that she has been given a second chance at living in the form of a mercenary has given Len a passion for the unknown and challenges. She's the type of woman who is prone to travel to a foreign land, just to see what awaits her there. In the end, if she refused to explore the possibilities her new life has to offer then she would end up getting at a standstill, and everyone knows that in a world like ours moving forwards is necessary if you wish to survive.
Curiously enough her suave attitude is not a disguise; she truly is a confident and pleasant to interact with woman. The type of person you can easily converse with while she displays a relaxed and often delightfully social demeanor. Not only that, but as a woman of her age she knows all too well that the right compliment at the right time can cause a situation to turn into her favor.
Having experienced firsthand what sort of things can happen to a person when they are encouraged and helped one can say that Len is sometimes prone to take on a distant mentor-like attitude toward those she considers weaker than her, especially children. In the end she considers it a mutually beneficial choice, because the weaker individual increased their chance for survival, and she herself obtains a potential ally. However, her method of encouragement might be a bit harsh, for she believes that people nurture the best on barren soil, and that means to improve from enduring hardships.
An aspect of her personality that tends to naturally blend in with her pride, Len is often rather arrogant in the sense that she overestimates herself. She might not think lowly of others; it's just that she thinks really highly about herself. As someone who often stood in the spotlight, only outmatched by her mentor caused Len to manifest this trait. She often considers herself capable of doing more than people imagine she can, and often this manifests in her inability to properly calculate her own capacities when it comes to a battle.
Associated to the fact she failed to save the orphanage from being closed by the hand of which she considers the corrupt government. This personal failure has made Len often become prone to seeing things a lot more negatively than they are when things turn out in a way she didn't expect them to be. However, it's also that regret that turns into pessimism, which serves as an unhealthy stimulant for Len to move forward. In the end, with a regretful past it's not exactly like she has anything to lose by moving forwards.
The type of woman who lives in the here and now Len is often prone to act the moment an opportunity shows itself rather than waiting to see things. While this might conflict with her deceptive nature the fact she’s impulsive also opens a certain sense of training in thinking on the move. Still her impulsiveness was born even before her life as a mercenary. As the one who tried to keep the orphanage running after funds started to get too low to hire help, she often had to act and think quickly or risk botching up their negotiations. However, most often this manifests as a negative trait because it makes her impatient and dislike the idea of waiting when the opportunity is there.
While this only happens to those who challenged her or otherwise tried to oppose her Len tends to allow herself to show a certain mean streak to her at times. Sadistic in terms of enjoying the sight of humiliating her enemies in the attempt to make them know their place upon defeat by her hands Len might not be the type of woman who’d mindlessly kill someone who crossed her path, unless she has a reason or is in a bad mood, but her fallen enemies can certainly expect not to leave without a fair share of mental or physical humiliation.
While she does not develop a grudge quickly, the moment she does one is pretty much guaranteed it will last until the day one of them dies. In the end Len has seen her fair share of betrayals and wrongdoings, and something about them remaining unsolved only stirs an intense hatred within her. Of course while she might be convinced to drop a grudge the saying ‘She might forgive, but she’d never forget’ applies to her. She might decide to forgive someone in the end, but the grudge for the event will always linger.

HISTORY
Some say that tragedies can break a person, yet at certain times it are exactly those tragedies that can shape a person into who they are today. The girl called Len was not always a mercenary, nor was she always Len. Once upon a time she carried the name Serizawa Ren. The Serizawa family was one of the older and more 'traditional' families, some might had called them nobles, and for Ren, who was born 21 years ago one could easily say that for her the cards that she was given for the game known as life were shitty at best.
Being the traditional and old-fashioned bloodline the Serizawa clearly shown a distrust, even disgust toward Quirk Users. So deeply rooted in old traditions that those 'mutants' were considered a blight upon society in their eyes. As one can imagine when Ren was born and it was discovered by her parents that she had a Quirk, the girl was quickly disowned by her family and banished onto the streets.
Her birth was clearly a shitty card, and her quirk wasn't exactly amazing either. In the end, to describe her ability in a simple way: She was able to make an item develop a will of its own and due to the object's efforts to help her out improve her affinity toward it. Simply said, she was able to wield an object with a much greater potency than the average person.
Of course, it was difficult to hide such a thing, like imagine touching a piano and suddenly you're able to play a piano as if you were a professional, and yet Ren found an odd sense of comfort in her Quirk. Her first 'friend' was a discarded metal baseball bat she called 'Hit'. Hit was a bit of a proud and loud-mouthed baseball bat, but showed genuine concern for her wellbeing, teaching her how to play baseball and sometimes the street urchin would play alongside the others at the playground, and it was in that kindness she found a sanctuary: a local orphanage that took her in.
She was so full of joy as the caretakers of the orphanage taught her the basic skills to survive, reading and writing and often she would try to help around the orphanage with simple menial stuff. Her second friend was a Broom called 'Brusher', and a goofy and joking fool who often did her best to make Ren laugh as she helped sweep the floors clean.
However, the town they lived in was plagued by poverty, and as Ren grew up she would soon learn just how cruel reality could be. As the economy made the orphanage struggle Ren would often try to help out in any way she can, sometimes she would take part-time jobs to earn some Yen, but it was not enough.
Little by little the caretakers were forced to part ways, in the end, charity had its limits and in the end, after she reached the age of 14 she was pretty much left with only one of the older ladies trying to take care of the other orphans. Sometimes it became hard for her, and it was at that time things turned darker.
The government wanted to shut down the orphanage in a year, replace it with a factory to bring in more money and if they couldn't fork over the money to change their minds, they would be put onto the streets again. It was at that time that Ren made a choice: sometimes when the good jobs don't save you, then you simply got to pick the dirty ones.
She tried to rob someone, it all started well, she had snagged a guy's bag, the bag being heavier than she had expected and started to rush through the alleyways. Unfortunately for her, she had been unaware the guy she had robbed was a villanous thug who belonged to a gang. Cornered by said gang and discovering just how much money was inside the bag, more than enough to buy the orphanage Ren grasped a hold of her buddy Hit and swung at an approaching thug.
It was a violent smack, but concern for the orphans who depended on her overpowered her guilt, but when cornered like that their superiority in numbers quickly led to a beatdown for her. The thugs were about to walk away after suitably punishing her when a hooded figure leaning against the wall of a nearby corridor taunted her, a female voice saying that a baseball bat wasn't a weapon to take to a fight.
A small black object was tossed onto the ground before her: a gun. She was oblivious of the figure's intentions, why she was being helped, in the end charity had its limits, and surely they had a reason for doing this but what she did know was that those thugs were her solution to getting the orphanage saved. Shakily her hand grasped a hold of the handgun, feeling its coldness in her grip as she took aim. "Save me... G-kun" Several soft bangs resounded through the air, each shot cleanly felling one of the thugs as she approached the one holding the bag, yet by the time she had returned to look in the alleyway the mysterious figure had disappeared.
Rushing back to the orphanage Ren found the building razed to the ground, the construction workers revealing the government had never intended to give them a chance. Furious the girl cried out in anger, leaving the scene when that hooded figure from before emerged before her.
She blamed Ren's suffering on the cruelty of the corrupt government, and that if she wanted to change it, she had to become strong and do it by force. An invitation was given, to lend her 'ability' to this stranger in exchange to be taught how to become strong. Of course the slighted Ren accepted the invitation.
It was like this she became to train under the villain Rebecca, a free-spirited woman with a hatred for the government after something had robbed her of everything she had worked for: her career, her family, and even her future. Ren never bothered asking about her past, in the end, when she adopted the name 'Len' she had decided to simply live for the sake of getting revenge on the bastards who destroyed the orphanage that took care of her.
In six years Rebecca taught her everything: how to live, how to kill, how to survive. She was trained to become strong, to become able to do whatever and at the point of 'graduation' was told by Rebecca to use the money she had earned from the thugs to buy a proper weapon, in the end 'G-kun' was just an ordinary handgun and simply too weak of a weapon for her to oppose those who were truly strong.
Her choice? a P90, not an easy task to obtain, but luckily Rebecca knew connections, and so on her 21th birthday Len obtained her weapon which she fondly called Becky, after the mentor who taught her. However, the same night Rebecca disappeared, leaving only a mysterious note that said she would be 'waiting at the top'. Considering the message a challenge for her to deal with the corrupt government Len finally set out on her quest.
