Robotics & Technology Club, colloquially known as the Robotics Club. Momoko had technically been a member for a while now, but similar work as a student from a support class as well as the initial hectic feeling from the internships had limited her actual presence there during this time. It's also why she didn't notice the gradual decline of the club until now when she had both the time and the drive to function as its member. Some of the founding members had left, while the rest seemed to have been disorganized like Momoko had been. Frankly speaking, she wasn't even sure if they even had a club president at the time. It was clear that something needed to be done. Momoko turned her energy that was meant for actual club activities into establishing that the said activities could even happen, and got to work. She had also contacted the remaining members, and established that there'd be a meeting today. She had also made a poster that she had added to the school's bulletin board, as well as on the school's website, informing any fence-sitting students about the meeting today. It was... a bit simplistic, but since Momoko wasn't a graphics designer it'd have to do. All that mattered was getting the info out there, somewhere where people might come across it and think to themselves "hey, maybe I should join the robotics club". "Yeah, right." The innate cynicism stopped the daydream from reaching further heights and drew Momoko back into the present. She was currently the first one in the club room, standing tall(ish) in the middle of the table and waiting for the others to arrive with a determined look on her face. The club room still looked like it could belong to any other club, with a couple of smaller tables forming a larger one, a few shelves and a whiteboard. Yet another sign that the original club didn't really take off in the end. All the more reason to confirm that there were still enough people interested to keep this as a proper club, instead of a database anomaly on the club roster. The one new addition to Momoko's student uniform was her new "megaphone" setup. It was a wireless microphone which was connected to two half-finger gloves by a fabric cable. The gloves had speakers on the backside. Both the gloves and the fabric cable were made out of her e-fabric Momochi, which meant that her body capacitance alone was enough to sustain the power on the device. It was still not the perfect solution, but it did beat having to yell all the time and was a hundred times more elegant than carrying a toy megaphone around. It made longer conversations significantly easier. And did she ever have things to discuss with the folks today... as soon as they managed to arrive to the club room.

Post by Hino Yojin on Nov 26, 2019 23:55:13 GMT -4
It shouldn’t have surprised anyone who knew Yojin that he’d forgotten about joining the robotics club. Between homework, work, illegal work, intern work, and sleep, he’d hardly remembered the bright-eyed young freshman who’d naively jotted his name down on the club signup, innocent of horrors to be visited upon him. By the time he’d actually remembered, he’d figured out the leader was involved with some corp, and barely had tech skills of their own, both of which pegged it as a waste of time in his book. So, as time went on, he barely regretted playing truant. It wasn’t exactly new for him.
Unfortunately for probably everyone involved, the old leader had “taken some personal time” off UA, and Momoko had been elected president.
In fact, Yojin had voted for her, in one of the stupid email forms that he still got, despite barely showing up. Just like he’d voted for her in the last support-study election.
Which meant he felt compelled to attend, at least once, to justify his vote. Even if it was just to scope out the competition, and scoop some free snacks.
“Surrender or fight!” Yojin cried out jauntily, hip-checking the door open and firing a warning shot. The giant, haphazard pneumatic cannon-turret on his shoulder let out an enthusiastic “WUMPHWHUMPWHUMPWHUMP,” spraying a volley of balled-up paper shots across the room, while Yojin made finger guns as to aim it.
The...mostly empty room.
Mostly, except for the tiny, purple-haired girl wearing a homemade exosuit on the center table.
Yojin winced as the balls of paper soared dangerously close to his tiny president.
He’d expected to be late.
“...Oh.” He said blankly, looking around the club room, as though expecting Charlie to pop from under a desk or something. In response to flicker of his quirk, almost unconscious, the shoulder-cannon deflated, tip drooping down from it’s mount. Yojin raised his other hand, taking a long sip of his energy drink to hide his flush.
“...Sorry, Momo-kun. Thought I’d be the last one here.” He mumbled, a little sheepish.
It wasn’t that he was concerned about the prospect of knocking the tiny girl flying with a crumpled wad of paper. He was pretty sure if she’d handled herself for fifteen...or…sixteen--however-long--years, she’d manage. He still just felt weirdly defensive about his tiny classmate.
That wasn’t why he was here though. Free snacks. Scoping out the competition.
“Good job getting all this together. Curious to see what you have cooked up, other than that fancy new rig. That's your fabric, right? And then a cellphone speaker? Vibrations must feel weird.” He continued awkwardly, trying for some sort of recovery. Yojin stepped up to the desk, slinging his backpack on the other side from Momo. It thumped, clearly full of something heavy.
“The gun’s mostly a joke, but it’s based on model 0.4 of my Crimesplat gun--basically paintball that smells bad and doesn’t wash off for marking villains.” He elaborated, moving to something he was a little more comfortable with. “I’m using it with my quirk, but I’m working on a hands-free firing mechanism for other people.”
Yojin wrinkled his nose, looking around the room, noticing it was suspiciously empty of food.
“...You know what? I’m gonna…” He put down his soft drink, pulling out his phone. “Call a roomba to get drinks.”
He flashed Momoko a smile as he remoted into the nearest little drone, and gave the order, hoping he’d recovered enough from his little embarrassment. Man, he still felt like he barely knew some of his classmates. That was on him, though. Outside of Chimera, he still was just bad at people in general.
“Meanwhile, let’s try what I just failed with you on the next person through the door. Punishment for lateness. Well. For being later than me."
The shoulder gun perked up, another volley of paper loading from the tube hanging over his back with a high-pitched whine. The next person through the door was going to eat crumpled homework and fury.

Red had been....out of it for the last couple weeks. After the incident that he will try his best to not remember, because it obviously didnt happen, He'd been a little emotional withdrawn. If anyone looked at him what they'd see is a man who looked like he was down in the dumps and was just done with life. Though, if they actually talked to him, they'd find that it was just cause he was tired cause he'd slept even less than usual. Atleast thats what he'd tell em, in a vague half truth to distract from the real problem that totally didnt exist, like all the bandages he had on him. See, In an attempt to just take his mind off of everything, he'd thrown himself into his modding, his training, shitposting in UA chat, pretty much anything that involved not thinking about it and well.....it may have taken a bit of a physical toll on the idiot.
It was this thought process that had caused the...rather simplistic and un-eye catching poster of the Robotics club catch his eye. He'd never been in a club before, on account of a few things, but....eh, maybe it would be a new distraction to take his mind off of it, a way to kind of take a break....also Yojin was probably in there and it'd be fun to talk about tech with the bastard, probably. Maybe the guy could teach him how to have his stuff not fuckin explode all the damn time. Besides, it wasnt like he had anything better to do anyway.
Either way, taking a look at said poster, it would turn out that he wouldnt have to wait that long to go check-out the place. Apparently there was a meeting happening today, to reignite the fires of invention in both old and new members or something like that. So, Red would just make his way over in the clubs direction. But on his way, he'd find a perculiur sight. Sitting right next to the door to the room that the poster said was the club room, was a roomba with a bunch of drinks on its head. Huh.....i guess Yojin is in there....unless he's stuck a speaker and holographic projecter into the thing so he can wizard of oz his way into meetings now. He'd think absent mindedly.
It seemed like the roomba was waiting for something. With the drinks platter on its head, it probably couldnt use any manipulators that Yojin probably put in it to open the door, so it was just sitting there, menacingly. He'd wait for a few seconds, to see if anyone would open the door...but after that he got too bored to care, and would move past the thing in order to open the door for it. Since it was a push door, Red would just lightly kick it open for the robotic waiter and move to the side to hold it open. A good choice, considering that if he hadnt done that a ball of paper would have hit him right between the eyes. Instead, it hit him in the side of the head.
As said paper impacted with the side of his skull, Reds eyes would be drawn towards the guy who fired it, finding Yojin with a shoulder cannon aiming directly at him. ".......You know i probably should have expected that for some reason." He'd say, a small grin forming on his face as he walked in. He was....honestly surprised that there was only two other people in here. He'd only learned of this meeting a few minutes ago and he was second to show up? Weird. Though, it did take a bit of a scan to find Momoko, considering her size. "....is this...everyone or did i just show up earlier than i thought?" He'd ask, rubbing his the back of his head like an awkward fuck.
Walking into the room, he'd just drop himself into the closest chair, going to stick his feet up on the table, or if he was told off, a nearby chair and lean backwards. "....by the way do you mind if i have one of those or are they for actual....you know...members?" He'd ask as he pointed towards the AI Butler on the ground. If he was allowed, he'd just grab one and take a swig...and realise that he hadnt eaten again today but it was fine, he could still last a few hours without food.
"So uhh....Say hypothetically i was interested, how would i join? Do you just...sign or a form or is there a test or something? Cause ive got my stuff with me, can prove they work." He'd ask, geniuninly not knowing if he had to do anything to show he could actually do stuff with tech. He has all his gear on him anyway, So the hilts, his skates, the cuffs, the goggles, his tools...pretty much everything.
As for proving it, well....He'd just quickly raise his arm and shoot Yojin in the face with a pretty harmless wind bullet from one of his barrels. About the same impact as a spitball. "See? I can use the other stuff too if you want." He'd state, not feeling all that bad about shooting someone after being in the room for less than five minutes. After all, he'd started it with the paper cannon, Red was just gettin even.

[googlefont="Pathway Gothic One"] | BINARY HEART ALONE IN THE CROWD TAG @robotics | OUTFIT | WORDS 720 | NOTES Blah |

As one of the founding members of the UA Robotics club, Kanna took no joy in the state of disrepair it had fallen into in her absense. At the same time, she didn't particularly care for it as she had other priorities for most of the past, some of which might actually come in handy in this new iteration. Having spent the better part of the year taking a course in mechanics, her hope of mitigating one of her weaknesses - in an inability to create her own hardware - she knew a lot more now than she did last time, even if she'd hopefully focus mostly where her heart belonged... Software. Clad mostly in black head to toe, Kanna seemed the furthest from the intellectual sort most would expect from a skilled programmer: Tight tanktop, tighter shorts, and loose fishnet stockings leaving little to imagination, she all but wore the edgy, tattooed alt girl badge with honor, or, at least it might certainly look that way to an onlooker. The blonde herself merely detested covering herself in stuffy outfits, and took every chance she could get to ditch the plain old Uniform. Club activities were one such opportunity, as they weren't technically classes even if they stuck around school afterhours.
"Now then, let's see who they roped in this time.", mused the blonde, slipping one hand out of her pocket as she stepped closer to the clubroom, thinking back to her first trip hair, stepping through this exact same hallways. She remembered it like it was yesterday, but then, that's not really anything special when you have photographic memory. A cute robot girl, an aloof rich girl type who helpfully funded all their endeavors. The club was never that big, and quite frankly Kanna actually liked it that way; she produced her best work without a constant ruckus all around her. Last time, she was the only one who could actually program everything the robots needed to move around and do their shit, and she couldn't help but wonder if their dear organizer Momoko would have bothered to get more. An extra pair of hands could defenitely come in handy if they knew what they were doing, but regardless, Kanna could get by just fine on her own thanks to her Quirk, though she brought a special piece of heavy artillery, deceptive in its size, yet potentially vital in its usefulness. Hiding in the pocket of her jacket was a flash drive containing just about every last digital piece of information she gathered and compiled during her last tenure in the robotics club, as well as several incomplete programs - some more so than others - that could defenitely find their way into their new Robotics projects. "'Sup...?", with a curt nod and words far more so, the nonchalant blonde greeted those present and shot each of them a casual, if slightly curious glance, brow raised ever so slightly as if sizing up her new teammates. She knew most of them from school and had a reasonable amount of info under her belt, she had no real reason to join a club if all she wanted was to know more about her classmates. No, she had a very clear goal she wished to achieve, and that was... It actually slipped her mind for a moment as her eyes widened at the sight before her, a complete and utter mess as Yojin stood around with what seemed to be a paper gun, and something even better still. Almost instantly her lips widened into a cheeky smirk as she tucked a loose blond lock behind her ear, "Good to see you aint fucking around~ Not a bad upgrade from last time." Smirking as she caught sight of the roombas carrying drinks around, she quickly crouched down and helped herself up to an energy drink can, taking it with her to the table as she slipped off her backpack and left it on the table, taking a seat at the table: "If you wanna give your roombas a proper AI, I can hook ya up~ Who knows what they'd get up to if they started thinking for themselves.", added the blonde, opening the lid on her laptop and booting it up, taking her flashdrive and plugging it in, shrugging and shaking her head as Red asked how to join, "If your shit doesn't break, I'd say you're good to go. And if your shit does break and you can fix it, well... That's even better.""

MORE LIKE "ROBOTICS REBOOT", AM I RIGHT? CHARLOTTE WAS ONE OF MANY SELF-PROCLAIMED "techie" Support Students, and not the best or most skilled by any means, so she attended the Robotics club more out of a sense of necessity than much else. Yojin was there, at least, so that was a perk. But in addition to the Support kids, there were all these other not-even-vaguely-Support kids that just... furthered the prawn's sense of inadequacy.
She'd seen the email.
She'd even been ready to go on time.
But Charlie's bed was very comfy, and the dread of seeing new faces weighed upon Charlotte's chest and pinned her in-place. That is, until her phone went-off. It was a text from Yojin.
He stood before the bathroom mirror-- one at the school itself, by the looks of it-- and was wearing some sort of ridiculous arm-cannon-thing, which was jauntily pointed skyward. In English, written onto the picture itself, was the message, "MEET YOUR DOOM" in all caps. He wore the most riotous expression.
Charlotte exhaled sharply in amusement. Typical Yojin.
Well... she couldn't let Yojin suffer the disappointment of not being able to introduce Charlotte to her doom, could she? The prawn roused herself from the bed, straightening her shirt with the flats of her hands, and quietly departed for campus.
She walked slowly... and, when she arrived in the room, it would appear that she was one of the last people-- if not the very last person-- to arrive.
Momoko was in some weird get-up with a speaker. The prawn surveyed it in mild confusion, but remembered herself and managed to stride to the elevated desk, offering a casual, closed fist to the diminutive president of the club.
"Captain," she greeted, "Sorry for my lateness."
Having offered a greeting to Momoko, Charlie turned her attention to the rest of the room. Unfamiliar blonde guy, unfamiliar blonde girl... Yojin. Ah, damn, Yojin was already there? Hopefully he still had the prawn's "doom" ready and waiting for her.
The prawn padded along the outskirts of the ragtag group, and took a seat next to Yojin, her hands tucked in her lap. Everyone seemed to have tech on them-- Momoko in her suit, Yojin with his cannon and the roombas roving about, unfamiliar blonde-guy with a cannon of his own, and a girl who-- judging by the tail-end of the speech Charlotte had entered during-- new a thing or two about AI, and had brought a laptop to prove it.
Charlotte was empty-handed.
Great.
She nodded to all of them, then skirted along the edge of the room to claim a seat next to Yojin. She didn't like new people. And she was equally as fond of cocky people.
She leaned closer to Yojin to whisper to him, too timmid to speak loudly in front of these unfamiliar faces.
"Did I miss 'my doom'?" Charlotte murmured to her partner in crime.
As she spoke, Charlotte's gaze flickered towards the unfamiliar blonde girl. Why, in the dregs of Novemeber, someone would dress like that was beyond the prawn. Her cheeks heated slightly though. The other girl was by no means unattractive, either.
The prawn, on the flipside, was wearing her usual cargo shorts and hoodie-over-tanktop. By all accounts, she looked like a boy.
"I forgot something, yes?" the prawn murmured again, redirecting her attention to Yojin, "Everyone has tech with them."
| robotics ppl. 561 words ooc notes: a socially-inept prawn arrives at the meeting a little late, stations herself at the edge of the group (by one familiar face) and feels very out-of-place. |

He skittered in rather quickly as the doors would open quickly sliding then sliding shut. Of course at first glance most students that would turn their gaze wouldn't see him if they looked for someone the normal size of someone running around UA. Only when they'd look down would they see the little fuzzy fellow fixing as well as straightening his little tie. His yell pin stripped suit wrinkle free and small pink snoot wiggling lightly as he took in the local scents around the area. He had a wide grin that seemed to stretch from ear to ear and so many teeth in his little mouth saying he had a pearly white grin wouldn't do it quite justice. From his large grin to his little round ears his expression at least gave a relatively kind and pleasant impression.
He'd skitter in quickly moving to one of the desks, Climbing rather quickly as his people were born to do naturally and quickly finding himself standing atop one of the student desks. Watching people greet each other and meld together well. The way so many students of different quirks and backgrounds got along made Perry enjoy this place more then he actually expected he would. He'd remain relatively silent for now though. Talking or answering questions when people might approach him. Now and again approaching people curious of their experiments or offering what advice he could. Truthfully now and again when someone would pull out a new bit of tech or inventions a spark would light in his eyes as the curious spark inside him was constantly being struck at these peoples great inventions.

Post by Mozuku Momoko on Jan 13, 2020 21:06:25 GMT -4
[Reminder that despite of what Yojin's post said, Momoko is not wearing an exosuit. Do not believe his lies.]
Momoko didn't flinch when the room was assaulted by a flurry of crumpled paper, even as one flew right past her. The voice had been a dead giveaway on the fact that it was their current vice president that was about to bust through that door. His shenanigans were met with a blank stare, as usual. Why was the best engineer in this whole school such a doofus?
"Oi! That's President Mozuku now." The small girl had meant it in a playful way, but the scratchy booming voice that came from through the speakers had made it sound almost threatening. She quickly adjusted the output settings from her left glove before continuing. "Or at least Momoko-san. But I'll overlook it this time, Yojin-kun."
The focus was swiftly changed to the piece of equipment that Momoko had with her, which was welcome. "I don't really feel the vibrations. I haven't managed to fit a proper amplifier into this setup. This whole thing's a work in progress." Momoko raised one of her hands and turned it from one side to another, inspecting it. "Still need to figure out a good placement before cramming these into Sukuna." Yojin, in turn, showcased his prank machine. "I'm just glad to know that that thing has a point. As expected of our vice president. But uh..." Momoko had a small pause to mince the words. "I hope that whoever gets to use that final version knows that you're not supposed fire right after demanding surrender." She failed to, but since it was Yojin she was sure that he wouldn't mind. "Also, fine: one shot of hazing for arranging drinks." Momoko didn't want to admit that she did want to see someone get surprised by that PaperBlaster, nor that she would have wanted to bring something snack-adjacent but figured that it would have been cumbersome to do all by herself. Her hesitantly authoritative response would function as a compromise.
The second arrival was a new face, whose efforts to let the butler-roomba in was immediately rewarded with a ball of paper onto their face. They didn't seem familiar, and judging by the usual routine of taking a moment to spot her it was obvious that the feeling was mutual. But on a more thankful note he didn't make a big deal out of it. "We are still waiting for everyone to arrive. Please have a seat!" Momoko chirped to the new arrival, with her demeanor back to its "usual" self. "Ah! Please no feet on the table, thank you!" Momoko herself didn't go for the drinks. She usually used a straw for obvious reasons, and while she could still drink without them, she didn't want to seem undignified in her first meeting as the class president. "They're for everyone at the meeting! Please help yourself!"
By this point, a third person had arrived, but they weren't new. Kusanagi was actually one of the few members who knew how to code properly... and actually might have been the only one now, unless the new boy or some other future arrival knew how to. Momoko had tried a few times in the past, but she had never had the knack for it. The adaptability of her e-fabric had felt like the utmost end of what she could accomplish on that field. So in that sense, Momoko found it relieving to know that they hadn't ditched the club... even if she had the feeling that Kusanagi belonged to the "Yojin" category of talented people. She seemed to be friends with him, for one, and if she wasn't she was about to become one with her upgrade offers. "From what I understand, they get up to antics even without sentience, so I wouldn't recommend it~!"
The small president was hopeful on the new boy being different, which was quickly dismissed by their sudden demonstration that caught Momoko off-guard. Despite of this, she kept her energetic voice on without faltering that much. Some students tended to be a bit rowdy, much like the club's own paper boy. "Just a form! Also, what Kusanagi-san said: know-how is good, but it's the passion that counts!" Or so they say. "There's some on the shelf to the left. If you feel like joining, fill one up and hand it to me or Hino-san and we'll get you sorted!"
She quickly caught up to speed that someone had entered while Momoko had been distracted by the demonstration. "Oh thank god it's Fujioka." Momoko was familiar with the seemingly last arrival from the support class, on a less familiar level than Yojin. But even based on this small amount of knowledge she was already ready to declare the shrimp girl as probably the most levelheaded person that had walked through that door at this time. She did also know that Fujioka had some aptitude with technology, but not to what extent. Nevertheless, she had faith in her fellow support student.
"It's fine, you're not late! We're just about to start!" Momoko didn't address being called a captain instead of a president, she was just happy that someone acknowledged her position... plus it had a nice ring to it. Momoko did also respond to the fist bump with her own, significantly smaller one. It would lightly tap against it before she firmly applied more force to make sure that she was felt. If Charlie hadn't applied any resistance of her own, her fist might have even been pushed back ever so slightly.
By now the students had all settled down on their seats. This included the club advisor, who had been there since near the beginning. Momoko hadn't addressed them outside of an occasional glance at their direction because... well, in truth she still didn't know how to feel about him. All she really knew about him was that he was a quirked animal who had recently gained a citizenship and a hero license, as well as had become a teacher and subsequently the club's advisor. So obviously he was smart... but he was still an animal. Momoko had had enough of a time to adjust to students who just had characteristics of ones, let alone a real one.... ...anyway! Deciding that this was enough people to start the meeting, Momoko did just that.
"Hello, everyone! I'm glad that you all made it! Welcome to the first meeting of the reborn Robotics & Technology Club! I'm the current class president, Mozuku Momoko of the 2-S. Today's agenda includes introductions and discussing the current direction of the club." "We'll start with introductions: name, class and your areas of interest when it comes to technology. I already gave the first two, so I'll give the third as well! While I've learned a thing or two about engineering after enrolling here, my focus has remained on fabrics!" Momoko raised her fist into the air triumphantly as she reached the end of the sentence. "That wouldn't normally count, but you'd be surprised what some well-applied technology does to clothing." The small girl ended her spiel with a nod to Yojin, signalling that he should be the one to go next.

自由自在 buy it fix it quick erase it
“Understood, President-chan.” Yojin replied cheerily, gracing Momoko with an utterly unrepentant grin. “I accept your judgement as wise and merciful.”
Hopefully, she’d accept it in good humor. A part of his brain that had only grown stronger after Emi helpfully reminded him that someday, he was probably going to say something actually stupid, and that’d be the end of his friendship right there.
Do I sound like I’m not taking her seriously because of her height? Am I? How do you read tiny expressions?
Oh, thank god, here’s Red.
UA’s favorite punching bag saved him from digging any deeper into that quagmire. Yojin was happy with the distraction of a quick back-and-forth with Red; the only UA student that might have had worse luck than Yojin himself. By now, Yojin had a pet theory that Red was actually some sort of bad-fortune magnet, siphoning evil away from other students.
A wind-bullet hit Yojin in the face.
“Ah! Okay! Turnabout’s fair play!” Yojin bantered back, not the least offended at being dealt his own medicine in kind. His hands were itching to grab Red’s gear, though--not because he was competitive, just curious. Really. “Now that we’re even, help set up--I’m pretty sure our standards are low enough you’ll get in the club, but if you want to improve your chances, I’m open to bribes.”
He’d barely started to set up the snacks brought by his roomba horde before an old familiar face joined them. Blonde, uncomfortably attractive, dangerous. Kanna Kusanagi.
Crap.
Yojin’s hands drifted to a pause, feeling his face go slightly warm as he tried not to stare. He’d only sorta known Kanna before she went on hiatus, and mostly because he’d been scoping her out as competition. Hero class, bit of a reputation for trouble--he’d assumed she’d burnt out of the hero life, but she was back, and interested in the club.
God, he was so much more used to dealing with weird nerds like Red in the mechanic shop than razor-sharp girls wearing streetwear lingerie. Momoko had to be happy that they’d gotten themselves some interest, but Yojin was sweating bullets and reconsidering his membership. He had to be careful where he put his eyes.
“Sup Kanna. I’ve love to see what you can do with my minions--they need someone to teach them. Um. To think.” Yojin replied, trying to sound flip and casual. The stammer at the end might have killed it a bit. “Right now they’re running on sketchy jank I downloaded off the internet, ‘cause I can’t C well.”
Code puns. He was making Code puns. She was nicer than he’d expected. Why had he expected her to be stuck up?
Yojin went back to setting up with a jolt, knocking over a (closed) soda can, and fumbling to pick it up, rising just in time to see Charlie come in. Good. Better. Yes. He liked Charlie. Charlie was his type of weird. His face was on fire. How was a walking shellfish more normal to him than Kanna?
“Red was our lucky winner.” He replied with a grin, but something about the armored girl seemed off. Then again, she was a hard fish to read. Yojin wanted to think his time around Chimera had given him some experience, but frankly, his roommate was stupid expressive. Charlie was like a statue. Impressive, but um...flinty. “But there’s always room for more chaos.”
He handed Charlie the gun like he was bestowing a knighthood.
“Meant to be a paintball gun.” He muttered. Maybe she could come up with an improvement. It’d give her something to do with her hands.
Finally, there was the possum. Yojin had a billion questions, and no fucking idea where to start. Before he could ask anything, Momoko seized control of the room again.
For best, I’d probably end up asking our new prof if he licked himself.
“Hino Yojin, 2-S--but I’m pretty sure ya’ll know that.” He added distractedly, finally giving up the snacks, grabbing a chair, and straddling it backwards, forever slouching. His gold eyes flicked around the room--Red, Kanna, Charlie, Possum, Momoko. Weird group. Could it be his kinda weird? He wanted to make something of UA’s tech scene. Had since he arrived. These would be his friends, business rivals or partners in the future. Unless he got expelled.
“I--actually haven’t really thought about my speciality much. It’s not code, that for sure.” He nodded at Kanna, frowning as he wondered why the fuck he’d never considered this. “Not sewing. Momoko can tell you that.”
“I guess gadgetry? Stuff that does...useful stuff. Weapons. Mobility gear. Um. Utility gadgets?”
Wow. Good intro.

"Oh, really? Thanks." Red would reply to the miniature club president giving the go ahead on drinks, Though she did seem displeased with his normal operating procedure of "Stick your feet up on the nearest table/surface". So he relocated said legs to a nearby chair, which didnt let him lean back as far as he would have liked without falling over, but it was fine....plus he didnt know how Momoko would react to heavy boots on a desk, and he didnt wanna find that out any time soon. He'd pop open a can and take a big swig, slightly waking up a bit....while his stomach reminded him of how it wanted food, not energy.
"I mean, they let you in, gotta have some real low standards....not that i can say much in that regard, how much is that bribe?" Red'd joke right back as Yojin explained how he could join, and walkin over to grab one of the forms Momoko directed him towards that he'd have to fill out if he did wanna join...which to be honest, was probably an inevitabilty at this point. It'd mean he'd get to hang out with Yojin on a semi regular basis, and despite the fact that he'd just shot him, Red'd love the oppourtunity to get to know the guy a bit better than just UA chat shenanagines...and totally not just look at his tech. His much better tech.
Still, he did have to wonder who else was gonna show up to this meeting. Somehow, him and Yojin had gotten here before anyone else, so Red didnt really have an idea on if he knew anyone else in here. Luckily for him, he wouldnt have to wait long to find out. Having walked over to grab said formed, he'd barely registered the door opening and other people coming in. The first person he noticed was a blonde lady wearing some rather form fitting clothes, talkin to Yojin about roomba AI's.
His first instinct was fear, and not because of the idea of Deathrattler was an AI. Being around Yumi a bunch gives you an almost sixth sense when it comes to being around certain people, and said sense was going off like an air raid siren right about now. "Uhh...y-yeah, i can make and fix stuff. I uhh....blow up on a regular basis cause of testin and the like after all, gets you good at that kinda stuff. Yojin watched me almost...... blow my arm off one time when makin these. Took video of it." Red would awkwardly answer her, rubbin the back of his head and stuttering just a tad while he pointed at one of his hilts. He was still not good at talkin to people. "You still got that, right?"
Speaking of, Yojin seemed to be having a pretty similar reaction to her....and throwing out some really bad puns. Seemed like they were both sweating bullets right about now, but luckily, it seemed both of their attentions would be switched towards the new person in the room.....a 2 metere tall shrimp. If Red didnt know any better he might have been weirded out a bit, but he already had an idea on who this was.
Charlie, one of the people from UA chat. Atleast he thought he remembered her mentioning she was a shrimp at some point. He'd just awkwardly wave at her to say hello....she seemed like she didnt wanna talk to him. Which was fair, she probably didnt know who he was. She was chill as fuck though, from what he remembered.
Of course, his attention wouldnt be on her for long, as he went to head back to his seat on the other side of Yojin, though a bit further away due to needing room for the second chair. On one of the desks, was a possum. An actual possem, not a possem person, it seemed like....unless they were just REALLY small which....considering Momoko was also in the room, wasnt really a stretch. How he hadnt noticed the possuem in a suit until now was baffling, but he didnt question it....that much, he might have been thinking of dumb ones in his head that he would never actualluy ask....atleast he hoped he wouldnt.
Either way, it seemed like this was everyone for now, and Momoko saw fit to actually start the meeting. It was a pretty simple agenda to be honest, just state who you are and what you wanna do, that kinda stuff. She gave a quick example by introducing herself to everyone and stating her focus was fabrics. Yojin went next and did very much the same, except a bit more vaguely....and a very similar answer to what he was planning to say.
"Uhhh...Names Red, im your local exploding idiot from 2-C." He'd start himself off masterfully, with a very confident, consice and not at all completely awkward introduction. God im bad at this kinda stuff. He'd think to himself, before continuing on. It couldnt get worse, right? "As for my field uhh....well i dont really have one. I just mod and fix stuff. I can code a little cause of the goggles but.....Uhh....what Yojin said, ive already got stuff like that...like this thing." He'd explain, while pulling out one of his hilts and creating a small wind knife using it.
"....its blunt, dont worry. You wanna take a look at how it works?" He'd ask, lockin the mechanism so the thing actually stayed formed for a few minutes and placing it on the table, pretty close to Yojin for....not particular reason. None at all.

One by one, Kanna watched as all the remaining volunteers arrived, shooting cursory glances here and there, but for the most part focusing on her own thing. She had a vague idea of who these people actually were, of course, enough to put names to faces if not much else for the most part. Prawn girl named Charlotte, a possum named Perry... Completing a crew of six, including her. Not bad at all really: "Well, wouldja look at that... This about as active as I've ever seen this club~", she spoke with a snarky smirk, chuckling, unable to resist tossing a little quip as she ruffled her blonde hair. President Momoko certainly held her ground in the face of the endless barrage of shenanigans, she could only respect her for that really. She could probably turn that shit down really, sitting this close to her, Kanna found herself wincing as she rubbed her ear: "Hey, shoot first, ask questions later. Can't go wrong with that plan.", she added, shrugging as she looked between both parties, realizing she'd probably get caught in the crossfire or something if the hostilities resumed, "Heh... You'll never know if ya don't try~" Did she really need a reason to achieve such a technological breakthrough as creating sentient roombas? In this particular case, the only real reason Kanna found was to see if she could, and most importantly, what might happen if she did. Did this qualify as Yojin category? Probably... Among all the club members, he was the only one she'd actually met, as they both had a little stint in the old Robo club. "If you ask me, all they need is a little push.", grinning cheekily, a look that would have felt almost frightening to those wary of the dangers of Artificial intelligence. On the other hand, those who felt wary of staring would soon be put at ease when they noticed Kanna didn't really seem to mind the attention, hell, she didn't really seem to acknowledge it at all, so absorbed in the machines as she was. Though by no means easy, AI was far less complicated a subject than most people imagined, if anything due to the very vagueness of how one might define "intelligence". With a whole crew of Quirk powered machinists she could back and forth with, she'd certainly enjoy the attempt: "Careful with those external libraries, it would be a shame if somebody... Cracked 'em~", quipped the blonde right back at Yojin, brow arching, hinting at one reason why she preferred to rely on her own code more often than not, but, she couldn't deny they could be hella useful, case in point as she shrugged, "Still, you got this far with janky C libraries, huh...? Coulda been way worse if you ask me." That's about as much acknowledgement the gruff blonde hacker could ever give, let alone to somebody she barely knew, the closest to respect really. But before they went any further, indeed they'd better know fully well what each and every team member should do, which meant intrudtions: "Kanna Kusanagi, 2A. I do software. Mostly just software really.", with a laidback wave, she crossed her arms, sitting lazily in her chair, only barely looking between each of the other members, "Backend, frontend dev, testing, DevOps, everything we need, I can do. Oh, and if you happen upon any strange gadgets and need to figure out how to break into them. I can do that too."
The fullest of fullstack, all in one. Kanna could most certainly provide for all of your software needs, but for hardware, well... Surely among all these people there had to be better people at it than her for than, no?

MORE LIKE "ROBOTICS REBOOT", AM I RIGHT? YOJIN CONFESSED THAT RED HAD been the one to meet his doom, before surrendering his makeshift gun into her hands. Charlotte only offered Red an uncertain gaze-- she assumed he meant the blonde boy-- before redirecting her attention to something of considerably more interest. The gun. Meant to be a paintball gun? The prawn whistled, turning the device over in her hands to inspect it.
"Oh, this is nice," she breathed appreciatively, her eyes roving over it. She turned the gun over in her hands, thoroughly enrapt by the mechanisms it boasted. She pointed it at the ground as she tried the trigger. Thankfully, it was unloaded of any ammo.
The prawn's inspection was interrupted by skittering upon the tiled floor, and the prawn redirected her gaze.
She stifled a gasp by slapping a hand over her mouth. There'd been talk of getting a new history teacher, but this was her first time seeing them... and, truth be told, she hadn't been expecting a large opossum. The prawn's first instinct was to grab the creature and toss it outside. But he was watching them with a rather intelligent gaze, and he was wearing clothes so... she supposed that made him a mutant.
She lowered her hand, hesitantly, and redirected her attention to Momoko. She was listening, sure, but she was busy inspecting Yojin's gun. Tech was easier than people. Besides, she'd be one of the last ones to make an introduction.
Yojin went first, then Red (so that was Red), and then Kanna... Kanna had the most detailed repertoire when it came to specialties. Software. Charlotte was able to pry her attention from the gun, at that-- software was where she struggled the most. This other girl could prove useful for collaborating on certain projects, and--
The prawn was so lost in her thoughts, she nearly missed her own introduction. Charlie cleared her throat, sitting a little taller in her chair.
"Charlotte Fujioka. Charlie is fine," her sultry alto voice seemed hoarse from disuse, "Second Year Suport. Uh..." she glanced at Yojin, as if he had a better grasp of what her specialty was than she did, "I'm interested in adaptive technologies. Things that make life easier for quirkers or, erm, help improve abilities quirkers already have. Or help, uh, people with disabilities maybe? Sometimes weapons. Maybe. Mostly adaptive tech, though..."
The prawn swallowed hard. She was rambling, and acutely aware of the fact that she was rambling. Why did she feel so... out-of-place? Inept? Why was she even here? Mostly Yojin, probably. She wanted to meet his doom. The prawn passed the gun back over to him, and then folded her arms in her lap, keeping her gaze trained upon the clasped hands.
Charlie couldn't even bring herself to say that she specialized in adaptive tech, only that she was interested in it. It took her so long to develop and fine-tune inventions, to say that she had found a niche would be unrealistic.

Perry simply observed for now not really making much conversation unless it would prove he was needed. He often just seemed to be silent curious sniffing or watching people's various inventions or any tech left around the room. He always eager for new ideas to advance his own building plans or his own works back home. Perry often worked on tech in his pass time given most his home, appliances, and all his vehicles were hand made by himself.
For now he mainly remained seated at his main desk sniffing the air making sure everyone behaved and hopefully got alone well. Functioning as sort of a chaperone and smart mind they could get help from with their tech works if they needed any advice or another point of view to question too. He also seemed to let a small yawn as he felt himself eager for a nap as well laying lightly on his desk as the students spoke curling into a circle of sorts with his tail wrapped around himself even suited as he was as he laid down for now keeping one eye on his class while the other eye seemed closed as he rest. They seemed to be getting alone fine as well though in the moment.

"Ah, perhaps later!" Momoko tried to politely brush off the impromptu tech showcase by Hunter. The next matter would most certainly be more important than knives. Herself, Yojin and Kusanagi were known quantities already. That included fabrics and circuitry, engineering in general and programming in general. Charlotte's focus on quirk-adaptation probably meant that she had a knack for interfacing, and Hunter seemed good for the overall labor... although his self-descriptor, Yojin's shot and the talk about some arm explosion incident did give Momoko some ideas. There would probably be more people who would be interested in joining later on, but the important part was whether this was enough for the Plan A. The distribution of different aspects of the project might be doable, but with this few people it might be rough to get done in time. "...plus ultra, right? This'll do.""Aaaaand with the introductions out of the way, we can move onto the main matter of the day!"Momoko would ask Yojin to turn off the lights as she fiddled with the phone that had laid on the table until now, roughly the same size as her. With the help of the phone case she angled it towards a blank flat space on the wall, and as she clapped her glowed hands together the first slide appeared. "The future of the Robotics Technology Club" "The first batch of UA students graduate in one and a half years. That includes everyone in this room. This also means that we'll be the first OBs and OGs of the Robotics & Technology Club! Although, as it stands, that doesn't amount to all that much.""I'll recap for the new folk! The Robotics Club originally had a good starting point, with the focus on commission work and smaller projects, and had that gotten rolling there'd be quite a portfolio by now! But unfortunately, the activity fell into a stupor due to various reasons, some of the important founding members disappeared and the club became a ghost until recently. And while that original approach would have been good, and still would be good going forward, the amount of time we have left would spell only one thing for the first generation of the Robotics Club:"Momoko clapped her hands, bringing up the next slide. It was a simple one, with just one word in big red letters. "Failure! There'd still be something left to show, and something that the lower years can still work on, but as a final tally for us it'd be a clear failure! But there's still plenty of time to turn this situation around!"
"So, what can be done about this? Well, instead of multiple smaller projects and commissions, I say we pool our resources and know-how into a single big one! One big enough to overshadow the seeming lack of progress! And my proposal is this!"*clap* A slightly more embellished slide appeared, with various very rudimentary effects to highlight the single word that was displayed there: "Mecha" "I'll make it clear that I'm not talking about some bipedal warmachine; neither the school nor the public would support something like that. Instead it'd have to be for more practical purposes like rescuing, transporting, construction or the like... but we can work out the actual function among ourselves as we lay out the groundwork. At the end of the day all that matters is that it's something sizable, well-made and presentable!""I'll hear your thoughts on this before we seek to greenlit this with the faculty. Should we fail there'd still be enough time to figure out a more boring idea that'd surely pass. In any case, our deadline to have something to show will be in our final school festival, almost year from now."Momoko's brief presentation came to an end as she surveyed the people in the room once again, and made a final statement trying to stand as tall as she could, with hands on her hips and face beaming with confidence. "I'll look forward to your cooperation!"In a sense that was her cue for input on the plan, but in practice she was already considering everyone in the room involved with the project.
