APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY
Appearance:
A pretty young woman with long and stylish brown hair, Chloe is an attractive young woman whose sense of modesty might prevent her from showing off how good she looks sometimes. Slim in terms of her physique but not lacking for a few developing curves, she is reasonably tall and an active lifestyle has left her with a kind of dancer’s frame, her modest clothing often concealing a somewhat toned physique.
The face of the girl possessing a pleasing, refined set of features, Miss Crawford has a pretty face that looks innocent and somewhat angelic ordinarily, with large eyes and a narrows and delicate looking overall shape to her face. Emerald eyed, Chloe possesses irises of a rich and glittering green colour, they can look quite dazzling when caught by the light and are framed by a set of long, dark lashes which can make a wink or flutter seem to hold such promise.
Keeping her vibrant mid-brown locks rather long, they reach all the way down to her lower back, the sense of waviness that is possessed by Chloe’s tresses could remind one of a rolling tide. More often than not wearing her hair with a centre parting at the front, she often tends to emphasize the wavy and coiling nature of her hair by sporting drill-like strands that hang down her cheeks, and for functionality will usually tie those long locks into a thick braid at the back of her head. This, however, merely her usual style, Miss Crawford will alter her do on whims and to fit circumstances, and has a subtle sense of pride and vanity in her hair since she likes making it look good.
Somewhat modest and rather feminine in her sense of style, it is very rare to see Chloe wearing pants and on the whole she tends to favour dresses or skirts, and seems to favour items that are a little old fashioned and somewhat stuffy. Not really liking overly short skirts and preferring a long hem with more freedom, Miss Crawford likes summer dresses and flowing gowns over all other forms of clothing, though can be the sort who would wear a blouse or sweater with a relatively ‘sensible’ looking skirt. That not to say that she has some kind of compulsion to conceal her figure but this rather the kinds of clothing that the girl has grown most accustomed to, Miss Crawford has plenty of body confidence and doesn’t mind flaunting her figure if her situation or even her vanity demands it.
Often quite bold in her choice of swimwear, Chloe can be a little showy since she eagerly wears two-pieces and numbers that are elegant and adult, and can also lend this tendency in situation which calls for formality and glamour. Often surprising others with her choices she might make when she has an opportunity to ‘dress up’, given the modest and wholesome manner in which she styles herself ordinarily, one might be surprised to see Miss Crawford in an outfit that emphasizes her bust or long legs in a stylish fashion, since she certainly seems to know how to make herself look good if the occasion calls for it.
Seeming to have an odd sense of amusement in this way, sometimes the girl can like surprising people by making herself look that bit different and she also has a strong sense of festivity, which means she will sometimes sport ensembles that people might view as unusual simply for her sense of enjoyment. Not exactly what one might call an avid cosplayer but still seeming to get a kind of giddy thrill from wearing something that’s a combination of silly and sexy, while she can be subtle in expressing this fact Miss Crawford certainly enjoys getting a little validation from her good looks, but usually prefers to do that on her own terms.

Personality:
A warm, outgoing and upbeat young woman with a more subtle playful side, Chloe Crawford can be charming and adventurous but also at times more mischievous and vain than her innocent visage might imply. The type of person who enjoys the company of others and having a good time, Chloe is a fair minded and empathic soul who loves to smile and giggle, and cherishes those that she has gotten close to.
Energetic and eager, Chloe tends to be the sort of person who can make friends quickly and easily, possessing a bubbly personality and affable nature that can charm most people and her good looks also do not hurt one bit in this regard. Often showing a strong sense of conscience as well as care and consideration toward other people, Miss Crawford has a noticeably ‘maternal’ bearing about her that makes her loyal and protective of others, and ardent if she needs to be. The sort who tends to find she is ‘strongest’ for the sake of other people, while she is certainly not lacking for self-esteem or confidence in of herself, it is the sense of compassion that this emerald eyed lass possesses that feeds her determination the most and is principally why she has opted to study as a pro hero despite being afforded the chance to be a lady of leisure so to speak.
Some perhaps choosing to describe her personality as somewhat ‘angelic’ normally, Miss Crawford has a big heart that she often tends to wear on her sleeve, and most commonly seems to seek harmony and happiness over all other things. Idealistic and trusting of people unless she is given a strong reason not to be, it is rare for Chloe to give up on a person and she usually maintains a strong sense of optimism even in harsh circumstances, making her a good source of encouragement and support for others if they need it. Very empathetic, the green eyed girl is forgiving and highly open-minded, she usually tends to be patient with others in order to give them a chance to show them who they are deep down rather than accepting things at first glance or face value.
This aspect perhaps sourced from the fact that she too has ‘layers’ that not everyone sees or she chooses not to share with everyone, whilst her kindness and compassion are very clear, there are sides to her character that are not quite as wholesome as people might assume. Carrying a subtle sense of mischief, because of the image that is so strongly associated with her sometimes Chloe can tend to enjoy acting childish and even a little ‘weird’ at times, carrying more eccentricities than might be immediately apparent to most and sometimes wearing a façade to conceal this fact from people she isn’t familiar with.
This habit something that seems to have been born from a combination of her thoughtfulness, and aspects of a lonely upbringing, there have been times when Miss Crawford has needed to hide certain aspects about herself so despite being open and frank at times, she can also be reluctant to share things that she might worry would make people uncomfortable.Perhaps a little more guarded than she might seem though this often more down to the fact that she prefers not to offend or upset others, Chloe tends to reveal more of her naughtiness around those she grows close to, and holds a certain kind of personal pride in surprising those people with the difference that may be observed in these circumstances.
Certainly not minding being seen as a ‘good girl’, so to speak, but eager to impress that this is not all she is, Chloe can demonstrate aspects to her person that might catch others off guard, and a lifetime of doing so has given her a sense of amusement and esteem in this fact. More of a thrill seeker than she might initially present herself as, Miss Crawford likes a little excitement in her life, and certainly isn’t some virginal maiden in regard to amorous pursuits either. Seeming to have a fondness for those who are direct and even perhaps a little rough around the edges in this regard, because this can surprise some given her usual manner this beautiful brunette has learned to be bold and is also very adaptable and open minded in her approach, though prefers a little discretion in matters of affection and intimacy.
Affection something that Chloe seems to do very well, she is honest and open with her emotions, and eager to comfort those who are struggling with theirs. Quick to embrace another if they need some support or simply to show her sense of fondness for them, Miss Crawford can be somewhat touchy feely with other people and seems to like bodily contact with those that she is attached to, often being the kind of girl who would lean against or pull a friend into her when in close company, and think very little of it. In fact, these sorts of situations seem to provide her with the strongest sense of fulfilment and relaxation, and the girl would tend to be more closed off and anxious around people who seemed uncomfortable with her habits.
However, despite this comfort with emotional intimacy Chloe is actually a little bit lagging behind her age group in terms of expression and understanding of her core sexuality, as well as her body image. Attractive in many meanings of the word but not as confident physically as one might expect, these matters can be a point of sensitivity for her and despite not knowing it she shows signs of being both demi and pansexual.
Seeming to be attracted to only people she gets to know, even if she can see that a guy is handsome or a girl is pretty she tends to feel flustered easily from attention of this matter, and needs to establish a rapport and comfort with a person to express her wants and needs without being overwhelmed or feeling inhibited by other aspects of her psyche. That being said Miss Crawford very ‘open’ in her affections, as she tends to be more charmed to personalities and people over specific features of anatomy or gender, and would be rather open-minded in terms of her choice of potential partner.
Even tempered and gentle in her manner overall but certainly still having a breaking point, Chloe can show a temper and if pushed to this point shows a side to her character that is stern and strong-minded, though she often only shows this when provoked by cruelty and senseless aggression. However, her forgiving and empathic nature tends to overrule her temper, so Miss Crawford will tend to drop grudges with a sufficient show of remorse or reasoning to justify certain actions.

HISTORY
Born near Canterbury in England, Chloe comes from a somewhat affluent background, with a mother, Kitty, who worked as an Historian and father, Oliver, who was a landowner and investor. The early life of Miss Crawford largely peaceful and loving, the girl was raised in a nurturing environment and seemed to flourish, especially so once her quirk emerged. Manifesting her ability at the age of three, one day in a moment of excitement and enjoyment the girl seemed to start glowing, and she and her parents were fascinated to see that she could produce swirls of air that she could move project from herself like a fan and or use to play with.
The wealth of her family naturally meaning that Chloe was sent to a prestigious private boarding school named St Matthews, while initially the girl was looking forward to making friends given she had been somewhat sheltered growing up, unfortunately things became something of a nightmare for her because of the abilities she possessed. It still rather uncommon for children with quirks to appear in schools, especially in those that tended to be reserved for the ‘elite’, the little girl who had marvelled over the magical abilities soon found that her quirk was considered by an uncomfortable amount of people something to be ashamed of. Miss Crawford didn’t like feeling like that, but since she didn’t want to cause trouble, she tended keep her powers under wraps for the sake of peace. Unfortunately, not everyone could do that.
A boy named Thomas entering the school when she was about seven, his quirk that made his body a little slug-like and made him ooze slime instead of sweat, all too quickly he was being called out for being a disgusting freak and was teased and bullied by others. This behaviour also seeming to be overlooked to a degree by their teachers, the religious inclination of the establishment seemed to compel staff to view those with quirks as unnatural, and as such they showed little sympathy toward the young lad who was the butt of every joke.
Chloe, for her part, feeling quite sympathetic toward him, there were times that she felt like speaking out against the cruel children but felt scared as well. Peaceful in her nature and also anxious that she would be the only person on his side, she elected to try and comfort the boy as best she could and urged him to speak out, but he would tell her he was used to this kind of thing. Having to move to this school because of bullying before, Thomas seemed very depressed and resigned to his fate, and that broke Miss Crawford’s heart. She remembered how as a girl she had been proud of her powers and now felt like she had to hide them, and looked at this boy and the situation he was in, and couldn’t stand it much longer.
Telling her parents about what was going on, they intervened on her behalf, and at first this seemed to work. The complaint and investigation seeming to make the teachers a little less tolerant of the bullying that Thomas went through, for a short time the torment seemed to ease off, but it didn’t go away for long. All too quickly those who wanted to abuse the boy finding ways to hide their activities, while for a few weeks Thomas seemed happier, all too quickly his manner became sullen once again and when Chloe saw that the bullies were continuing in their shameful behaviour something seemed to snap inside her and she took matters into her own hands, so to speak.
Coming across the nasty buggers as they tormented him with salt stolen from the kitchen, which they would pour on him and laugh as it made him writhe and squirm in agony because of his adapted nature, the girl lost her temper and moved to defend him. Telling the bullies to leave him alone, when they refused and dumped the entire thing on him, Chloe lashed out angrily to protect him. Unconsciously activating her quirk and using the sheer wind force to hurl a few of them away to send them packing as tears flowed down her cheeks, once the gang was gone she tried to attend to Thomas given the bad state he was in, and discovered a new aspect to her power.
The effort exhausting Miss Crawford and also ‘outing’ her publicly as a quirker like Thomas, after rushing to get some water to rinse the salt that was paining the boy off, she made a promise to him to make sure those guys never hurt him again, no matter what she had to do. That build-up of stress, sympathy and outrage at what her fellow classmates have done seeming to bring out a ferocious side in her that lingers to this day, in that moment the girl was ardent in her support and desire to defend this poor soul, but by a certain turn of irony would never really get the chance to do so again.
The bullies naturally becoming big wimps once they had been scared away, like the rotten little shits they were they ran to the teachers and accused Thomas and Chloe of attacking them, unprovoked, as some kind of ‘revenge of the freaks’. Suffering bruises and even a broken bone because of what Miss Crawford had done, this fact and the attitudes of their school stood against any effort of defence and both Chloe and Thomas were expelled as a result of this, but neither seemed bothered by that. In fact, they were happy to be free of the small minded and elitist hole.
Chloe spending the next few years being home schooled by a private tutor well-vetted by their parents, while she missed the social experience of going to school and meeting other children and making friends, the girl actually quite enjoyed this. Mr Bergstrom a far more sympathetic and engaging soul than any of her teachers at St Matthews, Miss Crawford benefitted a lot from his knowledge and became quite studious, in part because of a little crush she developed upon him. No longer shy about showing off her quirk and this teacher seeming to appreciate it far more than her last, the man went out of his way to give the girl a few science lessons to help her better understand her abilities, and even learn a few more things about them, such as her ability to influence more than just air but also water and sand as well.
Maintaining a friendship with Thomas even after they had been expelled, even though this was largely comprised of emails and messenger programs with an occasional meet up, one day the boy would contact her with an astounding opportunity. Apparently a wealthy but eccentric philanthropist who held a strong sense of sympathy and interest in quirks seeming to have set up a foundation to support those with quirks who needed it, they had set up a small school in Oxfordshire named Hightower Academy for pupils up to the age of sixteen dedicated exclusively to those with quirks, and helping them live their lives and help others with their powers.
The purpose naturally a little hush-hush so as not to attract too much negative attention to the place from those who struggled to accept the changing times and such marketed as an exclusive and selective school for gifted youngsters, Thomas had managed to get a place there as his secondary school and urged Chloe to join him, which she did. The good grades she had certainly helping her chances but ultimately the founder seeming to want to give everyone he could a place where they could be safe and secure from the prejudices they might face, and the opportunity to better themselves and their quirks, Miss Crawford attended her second boarding school and had a much better time there on the whole.
Every student there a quirker, while some did not have powers as impressive as her own, there was a real feeling of community among the few dozen people who attended the place that made it feel like one big family. By no means perfect, certainly there were disagreements at times with such a mixing ground of cultures and backgrounds, but ultimately the common ground they had seeming to help things work out in the end. Chloe continuing her education there with bright and free-thinking minds as teachers, she was encouraged to develop her abilities as much as her mind, and managed to achieve things she probably wouldn’t if left on her own.
This environment seeming to be the foundation of what became one of the UK’s first hero schools, with the announcement in Japan about the Pro Hero system and their plans for educational establishments in this area, all too quickly the British Government seemed keen on following suit and set up the Valiant Institute to accommodate this. Naturally the students of Hightower some of those who had the best education in regard to quirk abilities in the land, they were given the choice of pursuing their education as is or moving ‘up’ to join a more hero-centric education at Valiant, and Chloe elected to do the latter. Always feeling like her potent abilities gave her a kind of duty to use them for good purposes, this seemed like a great opportunity for her and while her parents were worried about the safety of their little girl, she managed to talk them around and win them over.
Embarking on her education in this manner, while the more aggressive approach of a full on Hero-inclined course was something of a culture shock for her, with time Chloe managed to adapt to it. Showing some promise for battle as with her power, but her more peaceable nature leaving her more inclined toward rescue efforts, she practised her mobility to reach people in peril and also things like snuffing out flames through the use of her powers. Happier helping others rather than hurting them, while the girl could hold her own in a fight she was no match for some of her more aggressive, battle-minded classmates and as such tended to prefer more of a mid-range support type role rather than front line action.
One major event that seemed to shape her destiny being something that happened toward the latter end of her school year, Chloe and some of her classmates were sent to Japan for something called a ‘Sports Festival’ that was held there by one of the prominent schools in the country. Finding herself rather impressed by the land and the standard of the students that were held there, while the girl herself did not make any significant impact on the event, she seemed to enjoy the new and interesting culture in her visit and later on made the decision to take part in an exchange program in order to better herself further.
Opting to transfer to UA because of this initiative, Miss Crawford finds herself now looking at her second year of Heroic training in a land distant and very different from her own, but is rather excited by it. The prominent figures of the Japanese Hero system seeming like they might make for great role models and the girl also feeling she might benefit well from this broader range of experience, she is open minded toward the idea of completing her studies at this school and even going on to becoming a fully licensed professional in this new realm, depending on how things turn out of course…
