The body fell to the ground in a heap. Rain pattering against the corroded and necrotized flesh of his throat. His eyes flickered this way and that for a moment, the last functional neurons in his brain firing off in desperation before the body fell still. Her bloodless fingertips crackled with moonlight, a faint glow bleeding out into the air and coating her with an almost angelic halo. She turned as her professor shakily threw the coat over her shoulder.
"Disgusting man," She said irritably as the rain began to fall. "Thank you, sensei,"
"O-of course, Lady Chernova..." He mumbled only to wince when fingers still laced with icy white death clasped around his chin.
"Ishtar. Say it with me. Ishtar." She snapped, pink artificial eyes glowing and twisting in her skull. He nodded, repeating the name back a few more times until she was satisfied. She pulled her hand away and wiped it off with a lead-laced handkerchief. One of her simpler designs, nothing special but it was the only article that didn't rot into nothing when she cleaned herself. She looked down at the body, the only points of contact with her skin having been turned into fleshy black charcoal. No fingerprints. She shook her head, another waste of time. At this rate she was never going to find the right people to draw into her circle.
"I'm just not important enough yet," She said under her breath, walking out of the alley and into the closest club. The rain picked up just as the door let out an inaudible chime to alert the bouncer of an authorized guest. She let her professor lead her to a table and she sat with her usual fluid grace, the boiling irritation slowly fading into her usual cool demeanor. She ignored the stares, the hungry eyes of men as they bored into the back of her thin neck. One touch of her glowing skin would be all it took.
Her eyes flicked up to look at her terrified professor as he stood nearby, wringing his hands. "And I need someone with more backbone than you." Rosey

I twasn't the best day for Hanon, well that is to say, not until someone walked in but at that point it might even made it worse, it made it more annoyed. It made it everything where she lived for. Her sisters, come to her in demand, come to her in the light of the night, she would protect them, she would not have to do anything else in her life, she would always be there for them, oh, how horrid, what a night. Simply put, Hanon was bored. Her escape of the police had been okay-ish, her wounds from that stupid bee woman had healed and she hated heroes only more, especially those like Yellow Jacket. She bet she could take the others, if only they had an interest in voluptuous women like herself, she did not plan to test that out, one fatal mistake could be... well fatal enough. It was not that Hanon wanted the attention of each and every individual in here, she just wanted one, one stupid man to flirt with her so she had something fun to do, she would have to chit chat, steal his phone, see if he was honest but no one seemed to dare. Maybe she had not picked the right spot to sit at, the end of the bar, in the corner, she actually had thought it would give some sort of privacy when it came to the barman but no one did, she leaned with her back against the wall, her eyes looking around, with a coy expression on her face but no, everyone was too busy with their own shit, too scared, too drunk to anything.
But they could look as the woman who came in after that provided Hanon's thoughts. Hungry like a lion who hasn't been fed for days, Hanon simply eyed shortly, what she saw was pleasant enough to look at but it did not bring any less boredom or so she thought. It was funny to test something and that's when she hummed. Her quirk only working for the hungry for love or anything related to that, the heart broken and those thinking about their lovers at that right moment would stare at her, but to be fair Hanon thought that most of them were simply there for the women, to watch, to stare, to dream, but not to touch, cowards. She hummed, leaning with her chin on her hand that she had propped up on the counter with her elbow. Their eyes shifted from the new hottie back to her, ah yes, pathetic, wonderful and pathetic at the same time. It was a wonderful thing to see and she hummed on a little, to see if someone would come to her, who would listen to the hormones racing through their body, the testosterone screaming at them to do something. It would only be a matter of time that she would see how it would go, than if someone would stand up and wander over at her, she would stop using the quirk, that is, if it was a man.

Sonya rested her chin in the palm of her hand while she waited. The bartender was sure taking his sweet time this time around. She glanced in the direction of the man, his bald head glinting beneath the hard light above him. His eyes were affixed elsewhere, he had not even claimed the glass to fill for her wine. Odd. She looked up at her professor to instruct him to deliver a message but he too seemed transfixed. Now it was interesting. She flexed her hand, a crackle pop of moonlight empowered by the artificial light around them drew the professor out of his sudden hypnosis.
"Is something wrong, professor?" She asked.
"I-It's nothing... I think I should just-" He began, only to wince when she placed a finger on his arm, the unholy cold of her moonlight seared into the skin of his wrist.
"You will go nowhere," She hissed quietly, moving from her seat to stand. She glanced around the room, finding the various pairs of longing, glazed over eyes. She followed them to the source, a single woman, leaning against the wall. She hummed some sort of meaningless tune. Sonya glanced back at her professor, a fool, but a music professor never the less. Why was a man like him so fascinated by- a quirk. Sonya looked back at the woman and decided to make the approach. She stopped a little over two yards away, a coy smile on her face.
"That's quite a voice you have..." Sonya said, "Have you considered more... public performances?" Rosey

Hanon wasn't disappointed by the attention, but she was disappointed that people lingered, she had no intention to hum or be more direct with her approach, but she had to find a way to get better at this and she was considering how while she simply continued. Her voice itself not louder but the humming only heard by those who could be affected, carried around the whole room. She looked up when a woman approached her.
Shame.
It wasn't that the woman wasn't pretty and so on but Hanon did not harm her sisters, they were the one she worked for in an indirect way because they needed to protected from the foul creatures that men were. What else would she do if no one did and what if she herself got distracted by the beauty of women, who would be there to protect, she had not much to say to the woman because she would not know what to say, she shook her head though when she focused on the question. A smug smile appeared on her lips, "I am too shy." Which was an obvious lie but she had no intention to use her quirk in public performing or whatever it was that she wanted. She could sing, obviously, she had done so but her quirk did not entirely work for that and it was difficult to put the quirk on and talk, leave out put her quirk on, with the humming and sing. She let go of the spell in a way and looked around, guys still looked at them, confused, still half drooling but it was over for now and she should go, she did not mind being spotted by a sister but it seemed her help wasn't necessary here. So she should finish her drink and go, she turned her body slowly to the bar, "Are you offering though?" She decided to keep the interaction to go.

Sonya's lip curled, right, shy she shrugged and slipped into the seat two spots down from the strange woman. Abruptly whatever this woman's quirk was, it cut short and the spell that had gripped the men present began to come out of their trance. Sonya turned her head to look at the few of them that had the presence of mind to come fully to consciousness. They didn't seem to know what had happened to them, or why. Fascinating, and useful.
Sonya raised a finger and the bartender was only too happy to bring another glass to her. He lingered a bit too long while Sonya ran her finger along the edge of the new drink. His eyes at the split portion of the front of her dress. She let out a breath and slipped her finger into her glass, the clear fluid rapidly growing cold from exposure to her quirk. He took that as a hint and left, giving her room to eye the interesting woman.
"Something like that," Sonya said, glancing over her shoulder at the imbecile that stood next to where she had been sitting just a few moments before. "Not the strongest minded man in the world, but still an intellectual, a curious ability, does it work on women?" Sonya asked innocently, sipping at her drink and savoring the sensation before placing it down on the counter. She made a gesture as if offering to order the stranger a refill on her glass.

It wasn't that this woman was ruining her night but she was in a way ruining her night, she stared at the barman and she was so tempted to hum again but she had no idea who this woman was and she did not want to lure a cop in and do things that were more illegal than what she already did. She looked shortly at the purse she had on the bar, the kitchen knife was so pretty in there, so happy shining, she was sure it was singing for blood but this woman wasn't a threat yet. She did not fight her sisters, unless she had to as that one bee-woman, she was sure that Yellow Jacket was a woman but she would not mind clawing her eyes out or pushing the knife in her chest because Hanon hated that woman more at this point than everyone else, every other person would have thanked her to get rid of the filth but no, she was called the criminal. The bartender annoyed her too but he shortly brought her a new drink too and she was a little more amused, maybe the blade would meet his match later tonight, for now she simply took a sip, watching the woman her action with the liquid turning cold, it was clearly visible on the glass and she was actually surprised, what was she... if she wasn't a cop?
She followed her eyes, a lot easier as she was sitting sideways and looked at the person that still stood at the booth where this silvery haired wonder had sat. "It should, if they are interested in women." Was all Hanon said, it would work on those that would have an interest in the same gender and thus it would work but they still had to fall into the same categories and women in general were a bit more how to say it refined in Hanon's opinion, that's why she would see them as her sisters. Her glass was refilled again, ha, getting her drunk would not work but it was surely a nice touch. She should try it again, but she would see, first she wanted to finish this conversation.

Ah, already admitting to a bit of a limit in her quirk. She couldn't use it on straight women. That was good to know though. Still, her quirk offered some influence on a good majority of half the population. That wasn't something to sneeze at. Sonya narrowed her eyes and gave a smile, leaning on the table and glancing to the right, her glowing pink eyes growing a bit brighter while she scanned the bottles on the wall. There weren't many that were outstanding but there were a few strong choices.
She sipped at her drink again and let out a sigh. "Good to know, I'll be careful then." She said, leaning her chin on her palm and swirling the liquid with her finger. A few of the others nearby broke away their stares when she shot them looks. Her eyes wandered over to her professor, who was still too terrified to sit down. She rubbed her temple and looked back at the woman. "I'll be blunt. The company I am putting together is in need of talented people who have at least some measure of sense and a backbone," She quirked her lip at the low standards she was setting, but to be honest, she'd got to the point where the applicants had all had been basically attempted assaults on her body. Her finger twitched, she'd killed more than she cared to admit the past few days.
A strand of hair fell down Sonya's face and she reached up to clasp her collar, adjusting it for comfort. The whole day had been spent wandering the stalls and collecting independent craftsmen and dealers. It was a small blessing that she had a fortunate day on that front. Sipping again at her drink she considered the woman for a few more seconds before finally asking; "What's your name?"

She ticked in a fancy rhythm on the bar surface with her long, pointy nails. She wasn't sure what this woman wanted and it was a strange conversation. Hanon did not often talk about her quirk and she wasn't sure if she liked it, she had no need to tell all those people out there, they would not have to care, it was just the things they did not need to know. She would find them, the cheaters, the disloyal, the unworthy and they would pay for the pain that they cost with their own pain, it was a really interesting concept really, it would be fine. The uncertainty about what this woman wanted, that was what was annoying Hanon. Her whole fun was maybe a bit of ruined because she was pretty, but now that she sat next to Hanon, the people might look at them still, two pretty ones. One looking as bright as the light and one more dark like the deeps of the ocean. It was a very interesting way of reflecting and reviewing.
This conversation seemed to go nowhere and Hanon almost suggested that she would leave until the silvery haired woman spoke again, about being blunt. Which at this point was exactly what she should do and the Siren nodded a little. But that was not enough information and thus the Siren hunched down a little again, what a way of doing business. "You ask me my name, but you tell so little of what you want and who you are, is it that you are interested in my quirk or in my sharp tongue and how do I know its not a trap, they call me the Siren in the newspapers, I will give you that." Not be too eager immediately, not do anything at all. Hanon was not offended, she had also no intention of leaving but she was an independent person, she tend to work alone on her own goal, this woman should explain a little more of her company before Hanon would say or do else, as she had said that she had to be careful, it could be a game where Hanon would put her humming on again, but not yet, she was genuine interested in the offer, it just came rather slow and hidden. So she waited, ticking again with her nails in a rhythm on the bar surface. Who knew how much her sister was hurt, it was up to the Siren to help and protect her.

Well! It was clear to Sonya that this woman was not going to let go of any more information without an admission of her own. Fine. Sonya did not very much like playing a game of risks but she had little in the way of leeway at this point. Either she took a risk and profited or she didn't and walked away empty handed. She was a businesswoman after all, she understood cost-benefit analysis. She tilted her head left and right, leaning forward toward her drink and staring down into the fluid before raising it to her lips and taking a sip.
"My name is Sonya Chernova, I am the owner of a company known as ASTA. We produce premium speciality goods for discerning quirkers and wealthy others," She began, taking another sip of her drink before putting it down and flicking her glowing eyes in the direction of the woman. "...I also go by another name though I have been fortunate to keep both names out of the papers so far..." She admitted to her own lack of notoriety. There were dozens of murders associated with the blackened, charcol-like necrosis that occurred on the flesh of her victims, but none had been able to identify her without the prints she burned off.
Sonya checked her nails; "I'm interested in you. Everything about you now that I recognize your name, Siren," She said, settling for just the stage name for now. "I am assembling a board of sorts for my company. Individuals with special skills, talents, and the desire to do whatever it takes to achieve wealth," She paused; "Do not confuse me with a greedy mook. Wealth is a tool. A means to an end," She said sharply in her continued low voice. "Your end is your own business. I am only looking for loyalty, talent, and results." She said and glared at the man standing a few paces away, gesturing to the bartender and the bar as a whole. He gave her a pleading look but acquiesed.

Hanon wondered if this woman understood the risk she was taking. Not she herself, Hanon couldn't care who this woman was, it would depend on her business and so on and what she actually wanted. Hanon knew she was a wanted criminal, escaping the hands of the police only shortly after being caught and attacked by that pro-hero Yellow Jacket. Yet she was here. When would those of security learn to not send love-sick man after her, but she would snicker about that idea. Being a police officer clearly seemed to have brought heartbroken issues because none of them had been entirely stable when she hummed, how pitiful.
When Sonya introduced herself and more, Hanon narrowed her eyes. "So you sell pricey shit." Is what the Siren said, shit in this case simply meant things and not bad things because obviously Sonya had not said what she sold. The thing was that she did not entirely understand, the goods for quirkers were okay and for non-quirkers they were expensive? Interesting business but Hanon was not in need of anything, she did not give a rat's ass about quirk shit, she only needed her voice. The intriguing part was about being known under another name but the woman continued not to inform her and Hanon let it be because obviously risking to say their alias would be a danger, hers would not be difficult to guess but hers could influence enough people to forget it. She simply watched her and would see if she would say more as to why Hanon would give her name.
Ah there it was, Siren. Her name was known probably in the papers for that last attempt on murder. Poor man was probably written but Hanon knew better, he had been a vigilante or so, his name was slipping her which made her consider that he wasn't a pro-hero. But that quirk was hard to miss. Wealth? Hm, that might be interesting as it was the only thing on Hanon's list that was a bit wobbly. Surely she stole the money of her victims but the whole way of getting that was long winding and some of her boyfriends weren't that strong so yes it worked. But to be fair she wasn't so sure about the loyalty part. Hanon was a free soul and she would go wherever she wished to go but for now this sounded like a very interesting proposal.
"I am interested, I would tell you my name once you done so." Because she was interested to see if this woman could do as she just offered.

"So you sell pricey shit," The Siren said. Sonya couldn't help but titter out a laugh. She wasn't wrong at all but to hear her carefully cultivated plans and ideas boiled down into such a simple phrase was amusing. She placed her hands in her lap and narrowed her eyes, waiting for her response. This would go two ways, either the Siren agreed to the negotiation or they would part then and there. To Sonya's relief and admittedly a little excitement, she acquiesced. She glanced over at her pitiful attendant and nodded to the bartender. The mousey man trudged over and gave a shaky bow to the bartender before presenting something to him, it looked like a cellphone.
He read it in silence and looked up at Sonya, eyebrows raised. Sonya nodded to him and gave him her prettiest smile, letting her body glow just a little bit. He returned the expression and without preamble began to shout at those present that they were closed for a private party and he'd reopen in an hour or so. That was more than enough time. She watched the patrons leave, some of them without complaint but a few with glares in their eyes. She wasn't worried about them. She sat calmly until every last one of them was gone and the Bartender finally approached.
"Thanks for your business, Lady Ishtar, shoulda know you'd have a face to match the name," He proffered. She raised an eyebrow and gave him another smile. He nodded and left, leaving only Hanon, Sonya, and Sonya's attendant. Sonya turned to the Siren and crossed her legs; a cool smile crossing her face.
"Now, let's begin, shall we?"

Hanon was at least happy that Sonya seemed to be entertained by her reckless and uninterested behaviour. It was a facade of course and there were lots of things that were interesting and so on. She wasn't sure how she was going to talk in the establishment like this but it seemed the woman herself had an idea for that and she raised an eyebrow with the simple nod that Sonya give, it seemed to be like a photograph. Speaking more than a thousand words.
She watched the patrons leave and grinned, almost tempted to hum for them to make them kick but and leave without complaining and she simply waved them goodbye. Now that was interesting. She had to resist laughing because of the grumpy faces but it sure as hell was interesting enough to see them walk, grumpy, pouting, wanting to stay. "Ta ta." She simply said before listening in to what the Bartender had to say next and she smirked. Oh so Sonya wouldn't introduce herself with her other alias, that one was to stay out of the papers right? Something like that she had said but now the bartender seemed to know exactly who she was. How very interesting, to be fair Hanon didn't keep up with other names and hers based on power was quite easy to guess, as Sonya had done. Besides it has been in the papers just without picture.
She watched the Bartender leave as well and stared at Sonya's companion, hm, he still seemed to be in shock of her humming. "Yes, sure." The Siren turned towards Sonya, "The name is Hanon by the way." As she had not introduced herself but now with no one else around it be fine enough to say so. "And what is your plan?" Because that was all that mattered for now.
