The forest was mostly silent that day, Ketsueki had been speaking to the other teachers via communicators to track everyone's whereabouts. Instead of traveling with the other teachers some of the teachers had been asked to travel in a separate bus and act as obstacles for the students. Ketsueki, not really having many connections with the student body was made to act as one of the obstacles on Mount Fuji. It kind of sucked at first, he wanted to become friends with the students since they all seemed like an interesting bunch. He wanted to guide the new generation of heroes on a personal level so he could feel proud of his "children" BUT HOW THE HECK IS HE SUPPOSE TO DO THAT WHEN HE'S GONNA BE AN OBSTACLE? Ugh, it was irritating and his face was showing that blatantly. "Damn them all for sticking me with this obstacle stuff." He said grumpily.
He stood there wearing a different version of his hero costume, it was an all black version of his regular outfit. He stretched his arms and legs as he stood there waiting. It seemed like two students were actually already heading in his direction. Interesting, Isamu iwamoto...and shoukou Iwasaka. An interesting pair, he had remembered reading about their quirks in their student profiles the principal allowed U.A staff to see. A girl who sweats rocks..and another who can create and control cherry blossom petals. He wondered how these two would handle him as an obstacle, would they get along? Would they argue who should lead? Endless possibility and outcomes! Ketsu grinned as he put out his cigarette and put it in a special container he bought to not litter the forest. Littering is scummy after all, his legs soon became covered in his black blood as it reinforced his legs launching him into the air. He landed on a tree branch that looked pretty sturdy and watched them from above. Waiting for the right moment to strike and ambush the two of them.
He would listen closely to see what they would be talking about. Oh ho ho, he was excited to train his students with field experience. He loved to show off and this was the PERFECT opportunity from it.

The day was certainly turning out to be an interesting one, though Isamu figured that he probably couldn't have expected anything less when he had signed up for a practical outing at U.A. He had been party to, and had listened to as well, more than a few conversations on the relatively long bus ride to their current location and it seemed that no one had much of any idea what was expected of them today. What with such a secretive journey and the rather strange bag of supplies each of them had been given upon entering the bus the only thing on anyone's mind as far as possibilities went was some kind of survival exercise. Though why U.A would need to take them so far from the campus for something like that when he knew they had dedicated training areas that would have suited their needs, Isamu couldn't rightly say. Hell, maybe they had been driven in circles for a few hours if for nothing else than to simply mess with them, throw them off their game perhaps?
All such notions were immediately thrown aside however when Isamu finally stepped off the bus, more than a little eager to stretch his legs after the long journey. He was greeted with quite possibly his favorite sight the world over, one that he had only bore witness to in person a handful of times but it never failed to have an effect on him. Even with being much closer than usual, Mt. Fuji was a magnificent sight to behold. They were parked right by an entrance to a forest that Isamu could only assume was Aokigahara, the Sea of Trees. The location they now found themselves at only served to raise Isamu's interest. The idea of a Survival Exercise on the slopes of Mt Fuji sounded like an awesome idea! Still, they hadn't been told exactly what it was they would be doing yet.
When everyone had disembarked they were immediately corralled into pre-selected groups and given colored wrist bands to help identify each other. To his dismay, Isamu noticed that none of his classmates who he had gotten to know to any significant degree had been placed on his team. A set back to be sure, but certainly not something to worry too much about. He at least had Karen by his side and he trusted his Class President. Each team was given a map which displayed a marked location and told that soon they would set off to reach it, beset along the way by various obstacles and what not. It was not explicitly said at this stage if it was a race or competition between the 4 teams as to who could reach the destination soonest. But looking around at the people present Isamu knew that that was a forgone conclusion. Competition was near enough the life blood of U.A, and he honestly couldn't find it in himself to mind all that much. If anything he relished it, loving the constant challenges put before him. If he lost, well that would just spur him on the win the next task put in front of him.
They were however given the choice to do a bit of early scouting, so long as they didn't attempt to reach the marked location before the exercise truly began. It was a chance that Isamu was too eager to pass up, letting his team know that he intended to make the most of it and attempt to scout out any possible complications before they got on their way. Anything to expedite their progress. The only problem that he could see coming from going out like that was if he managed to get himself in a spot of trouble. Isamu wasn't conceited enough to believe that without him being in tip top shape that his team would fail the task. He knew full well that anyone in his year group was more than capable of the challenge that they were about to undertake, he just didn't want to hurt any potential advantage that his team might loose if he managed to hurt himself or simply just over exert himself in some way.
He resigned himself to be overly careful, another challenge in and of itself. He knew from experience that U.A liked to pull out all the stops when they were handing out practical training exercises and Isamu couldn't complain. He knew why they went so far after all. How could you say with confidence that you had prepared your students for the world of Heroics if you hadn't pushed them to their upmost limits in training? He started out into the forest that surrounded them and up above the dark tree line at the incredible mountain looming overhead, consuming almost the entire horizon. It's upper half was already coated in a light dusting of snow from the looks of things. Isamu wondered just what kind of surprises their teachers had in stall for them, waiting behind the twisted treeline.
Still, his mind wondered at just what the aim of today's exercise was. Sure the immediate task ahead of them was above and beyond a normal school outing, but it certainly wasn't the hardest thing they had been asked to do at U.A, at least at face value. Isamu could only expect that their teachers had something more in the works for their students once they made it to the mysterious designated position on their maps. Regardless, there wasn't much point thinking too much about things that he had no control over. Isamu moved towards the edge of the forest and away from the bulk of the students, moving into a few simple pre-workout stretches to get his blood pumping and muscles warmed up, he'd been stuck inside a bus for too long. He figured it would be better to at least head in the general direction that his group would soon be travelling, only going a short ways into the forest in search of any immediately obvious traps and or obstacles.

Post by Iwasaka Shouko on Sept 20, 2019 9:52:52 GMT -4
Ever the energetic one, Shouko cut a stark contrast with many other students on the bus. The fact that she was at fault for the tiredness of at least some of them, eh, that was a minor detail! After all, this was a rare chance! A school outing! And to Mount Fuji no less! Shouko wasn’t the type to bottle her excitement by any means, but she was especially excited! Which was rare, because hiking the mountain had quite naturally nothing to do with her usual favorite subjects: Battles, superpowers, and superpowered battles! Was it a sign of cabin fever, having been cooped up in school for so long? Was it the assurance that they could use their quirks if necessary- Which implied that it may be necessary!? Or was it the sheer challenge of climbing the tallest mountain in Japan during an entirely unsuitable month? Well, as usual in these types of multiple choice questions… The answer is all of the above! Especially number 2, which gave Shouko high hopes for the outing! Sure, there wasn’t much restriction on using quirks while in school… And if she really wanted to see one up close, most people were happy to spar! But what could they do against the trials and tribulations nature would set forth for them? Bears! Landslides! The cult of the evil god said to awaken on this day!
Okay so that last one wasn’t nature, but you get the point! Shouko had read entirely too much into a simple statement about students being allowed to use their quirk under certain circumstances. There was no promise that such circumstances would arrive, and yet, she was certain that they would! And determined, that she would be there to witness them! What she didn!t consider, was that being close enough to witness, probably meant close enough to get caught up in!
Stepping forth from the bus, Shouko hopped excitedly. “Come on, come on! Let’s go, let’s go!” She called back to her team- The smallest of the four, and the only one to all come from the same class. Mianon, her seat neighbor and dorm neighbor, battle genius, good friend, and who occasionally acted strangely! Sumicchi, who had a cool quirk, a mysterious past, and wouldn’t let Shouko come over to her house to play! And Isaakun, who always talked about stuff no one was willing to explain, was sticky like glue, and always game for an impromptu combo attack! On this trip, the four of them would be invincible! If only they could manage to stick together…
It was a simple fact that the other three were no match for Shouko’s energy. Sumiko, whose attempts to sleep on the bus had been foiled by Shouko, aside- Even Mianon, who was usually amenable to being dragged across the map by her energetic friend was unable to keep up! As such, Shouko made a hasty decision. “Alright, I’ll scout ahead, then!” She declared without a second thought, or room for discussion. “I’ll be back before you know it!” She called as she ran ahead up the forested hillside. Really, if it weren’t for needing to stick together as a group, she’d just run straight to the top! Never mind that her clothing was needlessly unsuitable for the weather…
At a glance, she was wearing her usual clothes- A sleeveless tunic which served as both shirt and skirt, made from a piece of cloth tied with a sash at the waist. While against the school dress code, she had permission- Only this type of loose-fit garment would fit over her hero uniform! Carved from the stone her quirk produced, the so called ‘battle dress’ was quite what it sounded like- A dress made of solid stone! As unwieldy as it may seem, it never seemed to hinder the girl… To the point where one may wonder if she even had it on until she removed her outer cloak! Does that make it Schroedinger’s Dress? In any case, there was a reason for her blatantly unusual fashion choices.
Though to her classmates, a change would be immediately obvious from the usual. Compared to the brown tunic of previous days, the one she wore today was blue with white trim! It was clearly designed to match the gym clothes of her classmates, and helped keep her from standing out so much… One may wonder whether it was a change forced by the school, or if she just wanted to do it… But it didn’t really matter! What mattered was that she was wearing a sleeveless shirt and a not very long skirt, while climbing a mountain, in the heart of September! Can you say, not dressed appropriately? But if the girl noticed a chill in the air, she did not let it cool her enthusiasm, bounding up ahead without much care in the world!
It was a far cry from the other classmate she spied making his way up cautiously- A fellow member of class A! And come to think of it, she hadn’t really seen him in action, and barely knew his quirk! How could she let that stand!? All previous goals forgotten, the brunette changed course with a hop, skip, a leap… And an, “Heyyyy! Isamuuuuun!” As she waved towards the boy. “You’re scouting ahead too, right? Let’s go together!” As the scouts, they’d be the first to find any dangers! Which meant the first to use their quirks! Which meant, she would get to see him in action! A perfect plan with no flaws!

Isamu had barely made it a half dozen or so steps before he was stopped in place, a loud, bombastic voice calling out to him and easily breaking the serene silence that pervaded the forest around him. He turned in place and was greeted by the unusual sight of Shouko jogging up to meet him. As always she was wearing her rather out of the ordinary clothing, though Isamu would have thought that at least for today she might have chosen something more....appropriate? Well, Shouko always did seem a little different to the rest of her classmates, not exactly in a bad way, but different nonetheless. Isamu had to admit that he didn't exactly know much about the girl. Yes they shared a class, but that was essentially where their interaction ended. He would never go so far as to say that he disliked the girl, no, she was certainly more interesting that a few of their number by a long ways, but he couldn't honestly say that he respected her reasoning for being here among them.
He remembered that day weeks ago in class in which their teacher at the time had asked them all about what it meant to be a Hero, in their own words, and why they had chosen to join U.A. There were of course the cliche answers that one might expect when asking a room full of super powered teenagers such a question, but Shouko's answer had rubbed more than a few of their number the wrong way, of that Isamu was sure. He was sad to admit that that first interaction had indeed colored his view of the girl fairly quickly. He certainly hadn't been anything close to mean about it, but he hadn't gone out of his way to interact with the girl either, believing in some respects he supposed that her entirely selfless reasoning for enrolling at U.A was in some way demeaning to the Hero Course and what the rest of them were trying to accomplish.
He pushed such thoughts from his mind, they had no place here at the moment and constantly mulling his stance over in his head would do no good. In the end he would act as he always did, as kindly and politely as he could given the circumstances. Being angry or upset with someone was just too much work over something that was, in the end, so benign. A warm smile graced his features as he gave his classmate a friendly wave. Despite her Heroic views, Shouko was still a happy and kind hearted young woman and it was easy to forget that she was such a fight-nut.
"Good morning Shouko." he replied casually, his hand dropping back down and slipping into his pockets. He supposed if anyone else of their number was going to take up the chance to scout ahead, it would have been Shouko for sure, the girl had far too much energy to simply wait around. He was proven correct when she asked to join him, for them to scout out the area as a pair. A quick glance at her wrist told Isamu that she certainly wasn't on his team for this exercise, her band being Red in opposition to his Purple. The competitive part of him wanted to deny her on the grounds of not giving an opponent an advantage over his own team. Despite that, he quickly decided it would be unfair to do as much. Sure it was a competition of sorts, but at the end of the day that wasn't their main objective and until told otherwise Isamu would be as accommodating as possible.
"Sure," he said in response. "But we better get moving, I don't think we have all that long." he explained, nodding his head in the direction of the forest ahead of them making his way in that direction once more.
Before long they were surrounded on all side by the thick trees, all sound of chatter now lost to them as the ever present buzz of nature began to drone around them. Isamu's eyes were darting all over the place, staying on one place only for long enough to rule out any possible traps or obstacles, at least that he could see. Realistically, if their teachers didn't want them to find whatever surprises they had in store for them, they likely wouldn't before it was too late. While he knew whatever waiting for them wouldn't cause any lasting injury, he still wasn't keen to test out whatever likely humiliating traps had been set up to waylay them. Still, the pack of supplies that they had been given made Isamu wonder just how long they were expected to stay out here on the mountain. While he was confident he could provide for himself, he wasn't sure if everyone else would be able to brave the conditions as well as he might be able to.
He glanced over at the energetic girl beside him as they walked, feeling cold only by looking at her unorthodox outfit. It really, really wasn't designed for this kind of thing.
"You're not cold are you? Soon as the sun starts going down the temperature is going to drop pretty far." he said, less a warning and more a curious question. Surely the girl had thought that far ahead by now?
Isamu was starting to get a little worried that they hadn't run into anything by now. Surely their teachers had set Something up in the way of obstacles, if not then this exercise, at least the portion they knew about, would be a cake walk for some. It was then that Isamu noticed something that later he would laugh about as being a damn cliche. It was quiet, far too quite. The previous sounds of various birds had gone silent, just like in the movies before the monster would strike the unsuspecting victims. Overhead in the dense canopy Isamu could have sword he heard something, the creaking of branches under great weight. He stopped in place, holding out an arm to partially block Shouko's path, his other hand reaching out of his pocket slightly. The surface of his skin beginning to ripple and take on a texture more akin to a snakes scales as his petals threatened to burst free at a moments notice.
"Do you hear that?" he said, not moving his eyes from their position scanning the canopy. "Something's here." he explained simply.

If Shouko knew her classmate’s opinion of her, she would surely want to protest! What was wrong with simply loving battle!? Why was a love of superpowers any less valid a reason than any other!? For the sake of getting close to the things she loved, she had applied to UA. How was she any different from anyone else in that respect- Had they not signed up for their own loves? Be it heroism! Justice! Fame! Hope! Or the right to legally beat people up! Okay, so that last one was something that would make even her make a face if she heard…
As for her own impression of Isamu… It wasn’t much. He… Summoned cherry blossoms? It was very pretty, but she’d never seen it in action! As a member of the Hero course, certainly he could do more than set the stage for the latest dramas… But she had yet to see him in action! So frustrating! But that was why, this was her chance to finally see what ‘Senbonzakura’ could do! Eh? His personality? Eto… She’d been too distracted by her despair at having missed everyone’s quirk introductions to be paying much attention to that~ Something about… Being a bastion of hope? No wait, that was their Vice President… Uhh…. Was he the one who said he didn’t really have a reason, or the one who was saved as a child?
Fun fact: He was neither. Something Shouko would be well aware of if she bothered to pay attention.
Ahem, setting that aside- “So, which team are you on, Isaamun?” Shouko asked, before answering her own question with a glance at his wrist. “Oh, purple, huh! I’m on the Red team! Let’s see, purple… purple… Ah, you’re with Karirin and Hanamin! Nice! Hanamin’s a little shy, so take care of her, okay?” Shouko chattered as she stepped on ahead. “I was so surprised to see her on the bus, you know! She hates stuff like this! I mean, even going to the beach, I practically had to drag her, you know!” Practically nothing. She had had to pry Hanamin loose from her chair to get her to go that time! And wait, Shouko, if you know she doesn’t like it, then why do you force her into these things!?!
As for being on different teams, Shouko didn’t mind that at all as she sauntered up- Besides, he’d given the okay, so it was okay! “Don’t look down on us just because we’re the smallest team, you know! Mianon might look frail, but she came third place in the class combat assessment! Oh, you weren’t there for that, were you? I wonder what place you would have gotten!” Having never seen him in action… Ah, what curiousity it was! Why had he missed out on that class, anyways? Hmph, really. It was like the world was conspiring to keep her from seeing his abilities! But no more!
And wait, what did combat ability have to do with a survival exercise!? Unless they were to meet a bear or something… But shh! “And then we’ve got Isaakun! He says a lot of weird stuff, but his quirk is super versatile! I mean, with his help, I even landed a hit on that Darren-senpai!” What was that you say? Aren’t Isaac and Isamu’s nicknames too similar? Don’t be silly! One has a K and the other an M! Totally different! “And Sumicchi’s got the coolest quirk! She’s got tattoos like Isaakun, but hers are alive! They’re super fun to play with!” Again, what does that have to do with the exercise at hand? In any case, as she was wont to do, she chattered her classmate’s ear off even as she trotted alongside him.
Compared to his careful assessment of the environment, Shouko was hardly paying attention at all- It was clear that she was merely stretching her legs in the name of scouting around. Well, it was a school outing after all! While it was reasonable to expect that something was up, certainly the teachers wouldn’t go so far as to put them in danger! She thought, blissfully unaware of just how wrong she was. After all, there wasn’t any combat in the rescue scenarios at the sports fest, so why would she watch them? An oversight she may live to regret.
It seemed her chatterbox nature had awakened something in her companion, who couldn’t resist asking about her clothes. “Hmm? Oh, don’t worry! This is pretty thick!” She pinched a bit of the fabric of her shirt to emphasize. “Otherwise it would rub against my rocks and just rip!” Of course, the parts Isamu was worried about, were the ones not covered by her shirt… “And don’t worry about overnight! Rock is a surprisingly good insulator!” Once she fell asleep, it would be like an extra blanket! Which was good, because the expanding rock would easily push off any blankets she tried to use…
Well, while she hadn’t really answered his question, and her arms and legs were still bare… She didn’t seem to mind, so it was probably fine? “I go out in weather way colder than this all the time! And I’ve never caught a cold, so it’s fine… Hmm, I know! I should climb a tree and see what I can see from the top!” Confirming her status in a single sentence which referenced two adages, Shouko started looking at the nearby trees. But wait, wasn’t she wearing her battle dress? Would those branches really support her weight if she were to try climbing them…?
The answer was no. But good luck telling her that.
Suddenly, she walked into an outstretched arm. Of course considering their heights, what bumped into it would be… But underneath the tunic, all he would feel was hard rock anyways! Nor would Shouko make some comical protest about it, instead stopping in place. “Hmm? Isaamun, What is it?” She would ask. Following his lead, she would tilt her head, and listen… hmm, was there something? Birds, of course. Wind rustling through the trees… Having missed the moment their teacher jumped, it was unlikely she would notice anything out of the ordinary unless he were to make another move.

He sat there eavesdropping on the two for a while, that Shouko sure was chatty. He had heard about Shouko and Issackun? or whoever the heck landing a blow on Darren. Hmmmm, well that's interesting, he had heard from his fellow co workers that Darren Daimon was the number 2 student..and she was able to get a blow on him? Seems like these first years arent slouchers either. Then again it took two of them so he wasn't sure what that really meant. Lord all that talking just ended up confusing him, she jumped from topic to topic in a matter of seconds. However when he looked at isamu he saw something, the boy had heard him
"Hoh? he heard me?" well that made sense, Ketsueki didn't really do stealth but Isamu seemed pretty quick on these kinds of things. "You're pretty perceptive kid. That's gonna serve you well in the future." he said out loud to him from above. These two were quite an interesting pair indeed, he was glad it was them since this was quite an unexpected pairing. The quiet and calm Isamu and the excited and energetic Shouko, this outta be interesting. You could even see in their dialogue how different these two were, Isamu would only speak when he thought if was necessary. Shouko loved and craved interaction from the stone cold Isamu and was so eager to learn about other's quirks...they would both be good heroes in their own rights. He felt like a proud father despite the fact he actually hadn't done anything yet and was still sitting in the trees like a creep.
Welp, time to get this show on the road since Isamu was already suspicious that someone was around. Ketsueki covered his arms and legs in blood to enhance their physical attributes and enlarge the size of his fists and forming claws at the end with the blood. Once he was done and ready to go he would leap from the tree and aim to punch the ground in front of the two students and absolutely destroy the floor. A crater was left from the punch hopefully sending them back a bit. He always did have a problem holding back, how else could he push the students if he didn't go full force? He leaped out of the small crater he left on the opposite side of where the two were most likely sent as he sat there and crossed his arms. "Welcome to your first obstacle you two. You're obstacle is me, Crimson General." he said with the cockiest smile he could muster, wuaaaa he felt so cool. "to get passed this trial you need to get past me or defeat me. I will be using full force against you two, treat me as if im a villain." he said as the rather large man blocked their path.
"But be warned. I'm pretty fast." he said as he lowered his body and rushed directly towards Isamu, he was going to waste no time in trying to take out the person who had a range advantage on him. He charged directly at the white haired teen and put both of his arms in front of him to try at least shield himself from an incoming attack. He was charging with the intent to grab Isamu and suppress him by grabbing him.
Tldr of actions
Ketsueki tried to get a jump on the students after realizing Isamu heard him, he jumped off the tree and punched the ground in front of them. It created a small crater in the floor that would push them back a few feet.
After explaining their obstacle to them, Ketsueki is charging at Isamu with both hands in front of him to try and grab onto Isamu and hold him hostage since he was the bigger perceived threat to ketsueki.

Though Isamu didn't know the girl all too well and hadn't had much in the way of interaction with her, one thing became abundantly clear to him as to the nature of Shouko Iwasaka. She really, really liked to talk. Not that he minded all that much, she was more than friendly and he couldn't see himself being anything other than courteous to her, but it was quite different to what he was used to. He wouldn't say he was all that quiet of a person, just more....reserved than Shouko perhaps. She was immediately very chatty, asking the semi-redundant question of what team he had been placed on for the exercise, he was almost about to answer her before she took note of the band on his wrist, the purple a stark contrast to her own red. She seemed to already know a few of the others that he had noticed earlier were on his team, namely Karen and Hanami, though she had apparently given them new nicknames, much the same as she had done for himself earlier.
She went so far as to ask him to look out for Hanami, something that he certainly would have done in the first place. Though he did appreciate the heads up. She clearly knew Hanami better than he did and if she said that she might be a little shy about the whole endeavor then it was better to know now ahead of time. He would make sure not to try and push the girl if she seemed a little hesitant at times.
"Of course," he said, nodding along with her. "They're going to be my teammates after all. I'd have done as much regardless." he explained. To be honest, he wasn't particularly worried about helping anyone today, even those not on his team for the exercise. At the end of the day they were all here to learn....whatever it was that their teachers were trying to impart to them. She then launched into an explanation about the team she had found herself on, a team that was apparently lacking a member in comparison to all the others, something that Isamu supposed just came down to luck of the draw really. This exercise hadn't been a mandatory one for their course work after all, there were some students who simply couldn't make it so it seemed like Red Team had drawn the proverbial short straw. Isamu had a smile on his face when she talked about Isaac, he knew full well just how versatile his Irish friend was.
"You don't need to remind me about Isaac." he said with a laugh. "He and I have sparred enough that I know how tricky he can be." And wasn't that the truth. He and Isaac had been somewhat distant at first, but had grown to be rather good friends. It was a shame they hadn't been put on the same team.
Shouko also seemed to shrug off his concerns in regards to her choice of attire for the day. He would have to take her word for it as to how efficient her stone was as an insulator. To him, rock was still rock, he figured as soon as the sun went down the chill would set in regardless. Though perhaps her stone was of a different composition, being generated by her Quirk and all? Regardless, she felt confident in it's effectiveness, so it wasn't exactly his problem was it?
He was only half listening to Shouko as he was distracted by his odd findings. He did however catch her suggestion that she climb a nearby tree to get a better vantage point. It was lucky that he held out and arm to stop her when she moved to do as much, a hard surface pushing against his forearm but stopping in place all the same.
"Up in the trees. I don't know where though." he said in response to her questioning of his actions. He strained his eyes to try and make out a vague shape in the canopy, but it was simply far too dense for him to accurately spot anything. It was soon proven a useless exercise anyway, a loud voice booming out from the tree tops, giving praise to his attentiveness. For a few brief moments there was silence, Isamu's body tensing under the unseen pressure of the unknown. The calm was soon broken in spectacular fashion however, a large shape burst forth from the canopy, sending branches flying, shorn from their place by the rapid descent of a mountain of muscle.
"MOVE!" Isamu shouted to Shouko. Normally he would have made some attempt to get her out of the way himself, but he knew that there was just no time for that, the girl would have to fend for herself, though Isamu wasn't exactly concerned for her safety. She was training to be a Hero, just like himself. Wasting absolutely no time Isamu pushed forward violently with both arms, a torrent of pink petals bursting from his sleeves and forming phantom arms easily twice the size of his own and seemingly Palm Striking the ground in front of himself. The momentum sent him rocketing backwards, the petal arms stretching some two meters before retracting themselves back to himself, ready to protect him at his direction.
He was lucky he had moved when he did. Not a moment later their attacked struck the ground with near titanic force, sending up a plume of broken rock and dirt. Out of what was now a significant crater jumped a large man, one that Isamu recognized as one of their Teachers, Gyoza-sensei their PE instructor to be specific. He stood there facing them, his large frame imposing in it's own right. Isamu already knew the man was strong, incredibly so in comparison to both himself and Shouko he was sure. He then said the words that Isamu was really hoping he wouldn't hear, HE was to be their obstacle for the time being. With a quick warning given, Gyoza-sensei shot towards them, towards Isamu specifically he noted, like a rocket. Damn the man was fast, but for the time being Isamu still had distance on his side. He had no time to form a plan with Shouko, and sought only to slow the charging man down.
Large blades formed from Petals came into being at the end of either arm Isamu had earlier created, with two quick sweeps they show out, cutting through two large trees on either side of the coming fight. They had been cut in such a way so as to fall into Gyoza-sensei's path. A stop-gap measure at best. Before the trees had even fallen, Isamu recalled the arms, using them to pull himself up into the trees still standing. He'd take any advantage he could at this point, and the High Ground tended to be a good one. His eyes scanned the new carnage around him in search of Shouko, if they had any hope of winning or at the very least getting away from their teacher turned attacker, they would need to work together here.
Summary:
Pushed himself back and out of the way of Ketsueki's Batista Bomb.
Cut down two large trees so as to fall into Ketsueki's path.

Whether or not the insulating property of Shouko's stones was her imagination speaking, it was a fact that she was remarkably cavalier about the problem. As well as the problem of food, not having packed beyond what they were given. And similarly with water. Truly, she was someone who wouldn't last long in the wilderness, saying some nonsense about how it would all work out while collecting poisonous mushrooms to roast over the fire. However, as most people were like Isamu in that they took her at her word when she said it was fine... Well, it would all work out, somehow! But before worrying about whether or not stone was actually an insulator... She wasn't wearing nearly enough of it to be insulated! Of her body, maybe ten percent was directly in contact with the stone, and that was being generous! Sure, it would encompass her when she slept, but she'd still be relying on nothing but her body heat to keep her warm!
In short, she probably should never have been allowed to come here.
Huh? Up above? Even as Isamu explained, a voice came... From above! Wow! And Isamun heard that? It almost made her feel bad for chattering while ignoring everything that was going on around them! Well, in her defense, how could she expect the teacher's obstacles to be this... Direct? She hardly needed her classmate's warning to jump to the side, as their gym teacher came crashing from above, leaving a crater where the two had been standing! "Wah, Ketsueki-sensei, what are you doing here!" The girl blurted in surprise, even as the red-haired teacher explained exactly why. "Heh? Obstacle...? That sounds like fun! Count me in! Isamuun, let's go!" Shouko called out in excitement, barely worrying about what might have happened if the falling teacher had landed on her head. "Oooh, Isamuun, is that your quirk? So cool! So pretty! Wow!" She even stopped to comment on her ally's technique, pink blossoms swirling around his arms to form even larger arms, which had propelled him away. "But let's see how strong it is!" She concluded! After all, to Shouko... No amount of cool or cute or flashiness could compare to good old effectiveness!
As for herself, how could she fight like this? That is to say, while wearing her tunic! Especially this brand new shiny one with the school colors, what would she do if it got ripped or torn or muddy!? With a practiced movement, the brunette pulled loose the sash that kept her outfit together, the thick cloth becoming free and fluttering to the snow- Revealing the so-called 'battle dress' which lay beneath. Quite true to its name, it was a stone armor in the shape of a dress- The empty space in the gown a necessity to allow her legs to move. However, what it notably lacked- Was any sort of midsection! Her belly button was freed to the mountain airs... Not that she seemed to notice. Perhaps it wasn't the stone which kept her warm after all... But now wasn't the time for such questions!
Well, for Isamu, anyways! Shouko wasn't their teacher's target, and she was fine with that! How would Isamu deal with it? That was the entire reason she'd tagged along in the first place, after all!And he did not disappoint, cutting down trees to block their teacher's path! Well, if she just stood around here doing nothing but watch... That wouldn't be good either, would it? The trees crashing down into the ground gave her the opening she needed! As they collapsed, the snow on the ground was blown into the air, forming a white curtain in the air... A ready made smokescreen, which Shouko would take advantage of! She rushed towards their teacher, practically sliding along the ground as she swept a kick towards his legs. He was certainly as fast as he claimed, so that was what she would target!
Of course she did not miss that her teammate in this exercise was making his way up yet another tree- When focused on a battle, how could her observational skills be compared to when she was messing around?
Tl;dr Shouko watches as Ketsu attacks Isamu to see her Isamu will react Once the trees fall, Shouko uses the snow blown into the air by their collapse as a smokescreen Low kick to Ketsu's legs Paying attention to where Isamu is

Ketsueki was surprised that Isamu was able to hear the man so quickly and efficiently. He was proud of the boy, those quick reflexes and reaction timing to stimulus was going to serve him very well as a pro hero. He wondered about what kind of hero the boy might become in the future. From initial impressions, Isamu seemed like he would be the type of hero others might see as silent, stoic, strong and resilient just like his flower petals. He could respect that style despite the fact it was different than his own. Ketsueki was loud, flashy, and over the top. He wondered if young Shouko was going to be more like him, she energetic and enthusiastic and from what he remembered reading from her file, she was also a hardened battle enthusiast. Hell the girl even set up her own tournament with some help from...geist? He believed? Oh well, in the middle of battle his thoughts about their success didn't matter at the moment. What mattered right now was how his students reacted to his attempt at a surprise attack.
Isamu had managed to warn Shouko in time to move out of the way of the man’s shockwave attack he launched by punching the ground. When his fist met the floor, the ground cracked and shook a bit. However it was unsuccessful. Isamu was able to dodge the attack by himself and his warning to Shouko managed to buy her enough time to move out of the way too. “Very nice you two, good reaction timing.” he said before he launched himself towards Isamu. Isamu then used that against Ketsueki, the boy used his petals to slice through the tree’s to his side, cutting them at a precise angle to make them fall on the gym teacher. ‘Nice move..’ he thought to himself. He figured that Isamu thought he might not be able to fight close range against this teacher so he tried to stop the man’s movements to buy himself some distance. It worked! The tree’s began to fall down towards the man which he had to stop to handle, he wouldn't move fast enough to dodge them out right and besides he had to honor his student’s good thought process. Ketsueki stopped in place punched the trees to break them and stop them from landing directly on the man. The logs fell with a thud, causing the snow around ketsueki to fly up into the air, limiting the man’s vision.
“Crap” he said to himself realizing Isamu could attack him if he was quick enough, but instead of Isamu attacking. It was shouko! The girl managed to get him while his guard was down and tried to sweep him, the girl’s efforts proved to be useful since Ketsueki was then knocked flat on his back. He sat there and laughed “Nice job you two, you managed to knock me flat on my ass huh?” he said realizing he cursed outloud in front of students “Oops, ignore that. Anyways. Seems like I should award you for your quick thinking with some of my own.” he said as he leaped back up by rolling his body and jumping to his feet.
Ketsueki instead of charging towards Isamu who was now in the treeline, rushed towards shouko when the snow fell to grab onto the girl. A black fist made of black viscous blood wrapped around the girl, not really squeezing her but just holding her “How will you handle your own weight being thrown at you?!” he said before spinning around with shouko in a fashion similar to an italian plumber of old and launching her towards isamu’s location. He did NOT expect the hit to land at all, after all Ketsueki was always a piss poor shot even with his training as a policeman. So what was he going to do, while she was being flung towards isamu’s general direction he was going to run to the tree the boy was standing on and shape shift his arm into a blade and slice through the tree to cause it to fall. Hopefully making him lose his footing. If they needed him too, Ketsueki would wait at the bottom of the tree to catch them if they were to not be able to stop themselves from falling. He didn't want them to get that injured after all.
TLDR
Ketsueki punched the tree's aimed at him to break them so he would not go smoosh
Shouko is able to land the leg sweep on ketsueki and knock him flat on his ass.
Ketsueki enlarges a fist and grabs shouko, hurling her at isamu who is at the treeline.
While she's in the air, he charges towards the tree isamu's standing on and slices it, causing it to fall.
(If yall want Ketsueki can catch you guys if you want a funny moment where he's holding you both in his big hands from the fall or whatever you want :ohboy:)

The tree's did their job, halting the rapid charge of their hulking teacher and forcing him to remove them as an obstacle before moving forwards. Isamu wouldn't lie, watching how easy it was for Ketsueki-sensei to utterly destroy the large trees was a little disheartening. A wicked crack echoed throughout the forest as the once large trees burst into little more than splinters under the impact of a blackened fist. The cloud of snow that their falling threw up was also a welcome addition. As he pulled himself up into the nearby tree, Isamu watched as Shouko darted into the obscuring white cloud obviously intent on taking advantage of the distraction provided. He would have cautioned her against that, but knew that it was a forgone conclusion at this point. He very much remembered the girl's eagerness for combat so he couldn't exactly begrudge her. Normally such a tactic would work just fine, but Ketsueki-sensei certainly wasn't any normal opponent.
While Isamu could see next to nothing, only the vaguest of shapes in the snow cloud, he could hear much better. Ketsueki-sensei wasn't a small man after all, and the loud thud that Isamu could hear along with the mild swearing told him that at the very least something had happened to the man. Point to Isamu and Shouko it seemed, for now. Their teacher was congratulatory on their attacks as the cloud of snow began to fall and dissipate around himself and Shouko, finally giving Isamu better vision of the confrontation. No sooner had the man been praising their actions than he was in motion, rushing Shouko once more with his impressive speed. An enlarged fist formed from some black liquid that flowed over Ketsueki-sensei's hand darted out and enveloped Shouko with the man in question verbally giving a hint as to what he planned to do next. Isamu paled and braced himself for what was to come, one of his petal arms loosing some definition and becoming more amorphous as it prepared itself to change shape at a moments notice.
His theory was proven corrected when Ketsueki-sensei bodily tossed Shouko in his direction. While the human projectile wasn't exactly on target, Isamu assumed that that wasn't the actual intention of the move, Ketsueki-sensei himself was already in motion and coming towards his tree fast. He needed to act, and fast. His teacher still had to cover a good distance, but it wouldn't take him any more than a few seconds at most before he was on top of him. Isamu took jumped backwards a short ways and off the branch he was standing on, free falling for the briefest of moments before his remain petal arm latched onto the tree for him. The petals of the hand immediately attached to the branch rotated rapidly, slingshotting Isamu forwards and up into the air moments before Ketsueki-sensei cut down the tree he had been standing on only moments before. At the same time, Isamu's second petal arm flowed freely into a sturdy net, catching Shouko's flying form as he sailed over his teachers head. The sudden addition of Shouko's weight messed with Isamu's trajectory a little, making for a much rougher landing than he would have liked.
Isamu made sure that Shuoko was held aloft with his petal net as he crashed into the ground, trying his best to roll with the impact to mitigate the force of the fall at least somewhat. He lay face down in the snow for a brief moment before remembering the situation he was now in. With an audible groan Isamu pushed himself back up to his feet, lowering Shouko to the ground at the same time, the petals that had held her aloft flowing back to Isamu and layering themselves over his arms and back, ready to be reapplied. He looked over at the girl turned projectile, seeing that she was ultimately unharmed.
"You're alright?" he asked, knowing it was better to make sure that trust a cursory glance. After all he wasn't sure just how hard Ketsueki-sensei had grabbed the girl before throwing her in his direction. After waiting for a response, Isamu turned his eyes back to their teacher, studying the man's form as his mind was working overtime trying to figure out what to do. Ketsueki-sensei was just so much stronger than them, that much was abundantly clear. Still, Isamu could not say he wasn't enjoying himself, the rush of combat already pumping adrenaline through his system, amping him up. Despite that he wasn't sure if this was a fight they could win in the end. Sure they might be able to stall him longer and longer, but in the end Isamu could only see the fight going one way if they continued as they were now. He supposed he shouldn't be surprised, the man in front of them was a Pro Hero after all, and they were only students at the end of the day. It wasn't exactly a situation they were expected to overcome with brute force.
"You have any ideas outside of rushing him and hoping for the best?" he said to Shouko, a dark chuckle escaping his lips as he spoke. He wasn't able to deal with the man as he would a normal opponent. Ketsueki-sensei had already proven that he was both faster and stronger than the pair of students facing off against him. Isamu knew that any petal construct he sent the man's way would simply be smashed apart, not durable enough to stand up to the man's incredible physical strength. His mind wandered back to his Grandfather's lessons on dealing with stronger opponents. He knew that fighting in a conventional manner would get them no where fast, except maybe a hospital bed, Ketsueki-sensei clearly wasn't pulling his punches at the moment. They would likely be forced to resort to a form of asymmetrical warfare of sorts to deal with the man. Still, Isamu was interested to see what Shouko's take on things were. He knew the girl was a Quirk Fight nut, so maybe she had ideas that he didn't when it came to dealing with a man like Ketsueki-sensei. Only time would tell.
Summary: - Stepped/Jumped from his branch, caught himself with Petal Arm - Petal arm slingshotted him forwards an up over Ketsueki's head - Used second Petal arm to catch Shouko in a net construct - Catching Shouko through his balance off and Isamu rolled along the ground

Ketsueki grinned as his absurd plan of using his student as a projectile seemed to have worked. Seems like Shouko was good for a makeshift projectile to be thrown at others on account of her weight. He stood there watching closely to see how Isamu handled the situation and the boy did very well, his spur of the moment judgement were pretty good but the boy was starting to seem like he bit off more than he could chew. On top of that it seemed like ketsueki went a bit over board as it seemed that Isamu was going in for a crash landing. Oh no no no no no, he couldnt let him injure himself or he'd never hear the end of it from his peers.
He quickly panicked and ran over to where Isamu was going to land, quickly shaping his arm into a large enough limb where he could catch them both. He caught them both, Shoukou and Isamu in his enlarged hand. He sighed a breath of release when he managed to pull it off and save them both from a pretty rough landing. His soft spots for student's safety was showing, the overbearing father within him becoming too strong for him to suppress. It was a weakness he was very familiar with but didn't really do much to stop it since it hadnt been an issue before. However this time it might be since he was SUPPOSE to be working against their escape or their victory but instead was helping him.
He gently placed them both down "Are you guys ok? Seems like the situation got..OUT OF HAND." he asked as he let his guard down to ensure their safety dropping the teacher facade since his concern was genuine. He let out a bit of a chuckle as he was relieved that it seemed like they were ok but his guard was completely wide open to Isamu as he sat there almost pissing himself laughing from his own stupid joke.
TLDR .Ketsueki worried that Isamu was going to injure himself from a crash landing . He managed to catch Isamu by enlarging his hand but let his guard down while laughing at his own joke, opening himself up to attacks.
