Akihabara, a shopping center. Akihabara, a place where if you thought it, there was a store that sold it. Akihabara, a place where you can get any sort of a feeling in any sort of a theme restaurant! The perfect place to splurge for her birthday! She was going with her money tucked away in to that fireman's jacket she always had. She was eager to go to this place she had heard about. It was fashioned after a traditional Japanese home, it was a place you could just sit down, enjoy a meal, and your waiter would treat you like an actual family member. Part of it tugged on her heart strings, part of it appealed to her because she had been living off of quick mart sandwiches, hand outs of rice balls, and loaves of bread. Nothing that was truly a home made meal with home grown ingredients. She was eager to try it.
The thing that Akari failed to grasp though, was that this wasn't a fast food restaurant, this wasn't some dive bar where they didn't care about your background. This was a well established place. So when she first walked through the door, and she was welcomed from around the corner, and asked to find a room because the kitchen was busy and her 'aunt' would be right out to help her feel right at home, she almost melted in to tears right away. She would walk toward the room, ready to eat and pay for the food, she wasn't one of those kinds of homeless people that always tried to get food for free, she actually saved up and bought food only when her stomach was nearly collapsing, which, anyone could audibly hear it. SOMEONE SOUNDS HUNGRY is what she heard from another room, just like what her mother used to say when she got home from the park.
It pulled on her heart strings again. And she would slip in to a room, and sit down at a table, ready to get something to eat. SHe didn't look the best, she at least wasn't presentable for a fine establishment, clearly by her lack of proper attire. So when the server would walk in to the room, and saw Akari dressed the way she was, and how she looked, they tried to be polite about it, "We don't serve the homeless, I'm sorry but I have to ask you to leave." Akari turned and reached in to her pocket, trying to explain that she had money, she even pulled some out, but instead, all she got was "Your money isn't good here. Leave. Now. Or we're calling the authorities. Get out!" They would say in a hushed sort of yell to not disturb the other rooms.
But, but she had money, and she heard the place would make her feel like family. "Why don't you go find a family then? Get out, now." The server was readying something akin to a quirk, hidden under their kimono, and Akari would scramble to her feet, running out of the room and out of the entrance to the place. Well, they did advertise they would treat her just like family. Shame on her for thinking it would be any different than her normal family.

Another day of patrols. Another day of not finding any crimes to stop. Not that Tony would complain about this. If there was nothing happening that required him to step in, then all was well. The citizens were all safe, and that meant that he could relax for just a bit. Of course, he would never let his guard down. He may be lax at times, but there was always the possibility of something wrong going on around the corner, or someone in need of help. And should that happen, Tony would not hesitate to rush in and help.
But for now, it was time to go eat. The man was hungry, and seeing as he had been working hard, he figured that he could go to a fancier place to treat himself. Plus, he could take some food to go so that Centaurion could enjoy something nice. A shame the beast could not be summoned outside at any time so it could eat its meal while the food was still fresh. Still, Tony's job was to help uphold the law, not break it. Oh well.
As he walked, he noticed a nice fancy restaurant. Ah, now this seemed like the perfect place to get some quality food! But before he could head inside, he noticed a young girl running out. With how close Tony was to the door, he had almost caused the girl to bump into him. Fortunately, he backed away just quickly enough to prevent that from happening. From the looks of it, it was clear that something had happened inside. The girl did look homeless from the way she was dressed. Still, Tony knew better than to judge a book by its cover.
"Excuse me, niña. Is everything alright?" Tony hoped that whoever this girl was, she would be willing to talk, or at least explain what had happened. He spoke in a kind and reassuring manner to avoid coming off as intimidating due to the height difference between the two. "Did something happen inside the restaurant?" If something was wrong, then he wanted to lend a helping hand.

Akari, after having been run out of the establishment, would nearly bump in to someone. Right after she nearly bumped in to Antonio, the server would have come to the door, just to make sure that Akari had fled. Akari was already bounding around the corner, out of sight, out of mind, time to go back to peddling for money or left overs from people as they left the restaurants in the area, she supposed.
Of course, had someone followed her to inquire if she was alright, she would jump at the mention of the restaurant she just fled from, turning to see, that, if it was Antonio, it was indeed the person she nearly mowed over. "Oh! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to push you if I did, you aren't mad, are you? I'm really sorry!" She was worried more about bothering other people than her own personal health? Well, she was harassed by the police enough and had a record already, she didn't need more trumped up charges over the smallest of issues.
"Oh, uh, that. I--Well, they don't think I'm properly dressed is all." She would lie while scratching the side of her face, it was clearly more than that. It was exactly because she was homeless and stuck out that she was chased out. If pressed on it, she would admit to it. It was her fault for only having this garish outfit to wear, not able to afford other clothes, and her size not really available at the ready for hand outs. Not only that, she liked her fire fighter outfit, it let her dream of one day becoming one herself, even though she did look a bit malnourished (part of her quirk having removed a lot of minerals from her body that were needed for life.
"I'm sorry I caused a disturbance," SHe would say while bowing, after explaining everything, "I wanted to see what eating in home was like again, and that restaurant sounded like it would be the best place for that!" Why in the hell was someone as young as her out on the streets? And where were her parents?!

The more Tony looked at the girl and thought about it, the more questions arose. Why was she dressed like that? Was she indeed homeless? Where are her parents? Are they even around? Was this girl alright? So many questions and concerns. However, it was best to take things slowly. He did not want to bombard the girl with all these questions and overwhelm her. What if that made her wary of him? If she needed help, then he wanted her to feel that she had nothing to worry about.
"It's quite alright. There's no need to worry or apologize. I'm not mad." Tony listened as she explained that those in the restaurant did not think she was properly dressed. Was that really all it was? Or was there more to it than just that. "Really? And what's wrong with being dressed as a firefighter? I don't think that's a fair reason to refuse you entry into the restaurant." Well judging by one's appearance, Tony supposed that the restaurant owners would think that this girl was poor and had no money. But what if she did have the money? Did they refuse to let her buy food despite that? Such a thought disgusted Tony. How judgmental.
The girl then apologized for causing a disturbance. She then explained that she wanted to see what eating in home was like again. Oh no! Now this pretty much confirmed that this girl was homeless, and that she either ran away from home, or her parents were not around. Either way, this was very worrying. Just how dire was this girl's situation? Tony wanted to find out, but he did not want to pry too much. One wrong move, and the girl might be scared off and run. As a hero, Tony could not allow that. He had to help this girl out in whatever way he could.
"There's no need to apologize. I don't think you did anything wrong. From what I could tell, you just wanted some food, and they wouldn't give you the chance to buy anything. You're not the one at fault here. If anything, they should be sorry for turning down a customer." He then smiled reassuringly. "I have an idea. How about we go back inside and I'll buy you something to eat? I don't mind at all. I was going to get some food anyway, so it's perfectly fine. Let's see them try to kick you when I'm here!"
Oh right. Before that, it was time for him to introduce himself before he forgot to do that. "My name is Antonio, but please, call me Tony. And if you don't mind telling me, what's yours?" He hoped that he was assuring enough to the point where the girl felt that she could open up at least a little bit. Obviously, it was futile to expect her to trust him right off the bat. But regardless of how long it took, Tony refused to give up on someone who seemed to need help.

She was dressed like it because one, she was homeless, two, she dreamed of being a fire fighter, running in to save people and slaying fire with her quirk like it was the job of a knight to slay a dragon. A fantasy that she would never reach at this rate, and, that was fine, at least no one could take her hopes and dreams from her, though they were getting harder and harder to reach for day by day, almost to the point that she felt the need to give up.
She poked her fingers together, "S-Still, I need to say I'm sorry, for reasons. I have to." SHe would mumble under her breath before continuing, "Nothing that I can think of, I just, I think it's more for fancy clothes, like a business meeting?" SHe seemed to struggle to find words, like she was having trouble putting a story together. SHe was a little woozy and delirious from lack of food and self starvation.
As she was told to not apologize again, she would nod, "They want it to be a family restaurant, and, I... I don't have any!" SHe said with a closed eye smile, that type of smile that screamed that she wanted to cry about it, but forced a happy look on her face, having to admit to herself that her parents wouldn't want her back at this point, it had been four years after all, there was no way they would want her back. Hell, they probably wouldn't even go to her funeral, they'd probably just say to put her in one of the unmarked plots.
WHen he offered to buy her food, her eyes lit up, nodding out of a selfish desire to eat. Yes, she thought it was selfish to want to eat and keep going. "Oh, I'm Akari." SHe didn't give her family name, that would only cause problems, of course, if he mentioned he was a hero, there would be more than a little problem here on the street.

There was definitely more to this than meets the eye. The mumbling that Tony did not catch only made the fact clearer. However, unless the girl was willing to divulge more information, it was impossible to learn much else. Not that it would be enough to deter Tony's attempts to help the girl. Still, the last thing he wanted was to mess anything up. Just the thought of failing to save her was horrifying. He could never let that happen!
Just listening to the girl say that she doesn't have a family was sad. Was she born without a family? Or were they horrid enough to abandon her? Or even mistreat her? Tony did not want to jump to conclusions when he did not know the full story. But what he did know was that right now at this very moment, this poor girl was alone. And that did not sit right with Tony. Why should she be without a loving family? Something this young. What if she never had help of any kind? What if she became driven to villainy because she felt alone? Such a thought was painful to think about. Hopefully that was just Tony overthinking things and not an actual legitimate possibility.
After Tony introduced himself, the girl gave her name. Akari. The fact that she did not give her surname did not go unnoticed by Tony. He wondered why that was. There could be many reasons for that, but now was not the time to guess why. "A wonderful name! It's very nice to meet you, Akari." Smiling, he then motioned for her to follow him. "Come on. Let's go get something to eat. Don't worry about the bill. With how much money I earn, you can get as much as you want. And once you've filled your belly to your heart's content, then I'll see what I can do regarding your family or lack of one."
Whatever thing he could do to try to help, no matter how insignificant in the long run, Tony would not hesitate to do. If he didn't, then could he really call himself a hero?

Akari didn't want to reveal anything else about herself. Not that she could read his thoughts. She could barely stand while using her quirk because of how malnourished she was. She was lying when she said she didn't have a family. SHe was an outcast, she was a pariah. SHe wasn't allowed to call them her family, as part of the restraining order. As hard to believe as it was. His thoughts on whether she had help or not was spot on. Akari was kept out of the system, no protective services, she was cast out of the shelters because of increased police pressure anywhere she went. As such, Akari was isolated from interacting with other homeless people, and regular citizens, for the poor thing, she was alone in one of the most densely populated locations in the world.
When Tony offered to get her something to eat, she perked up, eager to feed her stomach, without the knowledge that he was a pro hero. She would nod, her pigtails bobbing and shaking as she followed along back to the restaurant she was just chased out of. SHe probably didn't look the cleanest, but,t hat would have to be addressed later. As he sort of bragged about the money he earned, Akari subconsciously wanted to show how much she earned that was in her pocket. He probably had plenty more, he definitely did, judging by the fancy clothes he wore.
Though as he spoke about finding her family, she seemed to lag behind a bit, "Oh, that's fine, thank you for the food, that's--really all I need." She sounded melancholic and depressed, all of the way back to the restaurant, where the person that chased her out was waiting to take the next guest, and they sneered as Akari tried to rear her head back in tot he establishment.

Tony noticed Akari's reaction, seeing how perked up she became. Jeez, just how long did this poor girl go on without food? And her enthusiasm tanking upon hearing about finding her family, and the words that came after, that the food was all she needed. That did not go unnoticed. If alarm bells were not already ringing inside Tony's head right now, they definitely would start doing so now. Not that he knew anything conclusive yet, but from the looks of it, this girl had a poor relationship with her family, to the point where they were actually starving the poor girl. Tony grit his teeth in anger. If this really was the case...
But now was not the time to dwell on that. Tony did not want Akari to notice that he knew something was wrong. He wanted to help her, but if he messed up somehow, if she began to refuse help, well there was no way he could let that happen! For now, he would just buy her whatever she wanted to eat. And hopefully, the restaurant would not give Akari any more trouble now that he was here for her.
Upon entering, Tony would wait for the waiter to take them to their table. Or to be handed the menu. Or for whatever reaction they had. He would of course defend Akari should these people start trying to cause problems for her. Worst case scenario, he would just go take Akari to a far nicer and fancier restaurant. She deserved to go to a nice place, one whose staff were not an intolerable bunch of jerks.
Before that, Tony would speak quietly to Akari. "Is this the one who chased you off before?" Regardless of whether or not this was the case, he would then smile. "Don't worry. I'll make sure that you get to eat this time. And if not, I know dozens of far better restaurants."
Hopefully these people here would not dare to try anything now that Akari was no longer alone. But he was prepared for the possibility of things becoming less than pleasant.

Akari's relationship with her family was far far worse than Tony thought, she wasn't starved by her family, because they didn't even let her back in the home. In fact, they moved out of their old apartment after kicking Akari out. She didn't even know where they were, not that she would want to know. Well, if she could get some of her other things from her old room, if they weren't burned or sold off.
As they got in to the establishment, the waiter would, carefully eye Akari, and then Antonio, handing him a menu, "Would dyou like to be seated sir? We are doing a special of home style stir fry as part of the coming home for the holidays theme we have going on." The man would try to pull Antonio to the side to speak to him privately. "Sorry for the intrusive question sir but, is she with you? She tried to come in early and her presence caused a problem for other guests. We don't normally serve the homeless here, and she's got a bit of a...smell...to her, that really puts other people off coming in to the establishment."
Akari was sitting on a little bench near the entrance, her shoulders up and head down, hands braced on her seat, ready to jump up and run out if she was yelled at again. Close inspection would reveal she didn't look very clean, she probably didn't smell the best either. It was part of the reason she couldn't find juvenile work, because she couldn't get the hygiene down. She wasn't bad at keeping clean, she just rarely got the chance to from not living in any shelter.
"Look, we will serve you both sir, but, she at least needs to clean up a little, this is a two Michelin Star restaurant. We're working on getting our third, so please, for the sake of the business, could you at least go get her washed up before coming back?"

After being handed the menu, Tony took a quick glance at it, skimming through the numerous options. Hmm, not bad! He would soon notice the waiter trying to pull him off to the side. Before going with him, Tony handed the menu to Akari. "Look through this and let me know if there's anything you want." He would then go with the man, listening to the waiter talk. "Yes, she's with me for now."
But then the man continued speaking. On the outside, Tony remained calm, politely listening as the man talked about Akari. Inside, however, was a different story. ¿Es este hombre de verdad? ¿Seriamente? Tony could understand that this man was just trying to do his job. That was understandable. But still, Tony could not just let this slide. He had to say something. So in a quiet enough voice so only the waiter would be able to hear clearly, Tony spoke, keeping his voice all calm and civil. Despite being very annoyed by this man's attitude towards Akari, he refused to do this in a less than professional way.
"Look, I know that you're only doing your job here, and I get that. But just look at the poor girl! She looks like she hasn't had anything to eat in ages! Where is your sense of compassion? Or respect? Caring more about the restaurant's reputation than the well-being of a child? How heartless! I have no idea if she's an orphan or if her parents just straight up abandoned her, but I intend to find out and do what I can to help her. But first, she needs food! Are you really so heartless as to let a poor girl starve? Or are paying customers the only ones that matter to you? Did you even check if the girl had money before turning her away? I would think that refusing to serve a starving girl would be far worse for 'the sake of the business' than letting someone who doesn't conform to your standards eat here."
In all honesty, Tony just wanted to leave this dump and take Akari to a much better restaurant, one that was actually worth a damn, and one that actually respected their customers. But it was up to Akari if she wanted to still eat here or not. Tony would only bother staying here if both Akari really insisted on eating here and the waiter stopped being unreasonable. But if he insisted on making Akari leave, then Tony would not want to come back and waste his money on a place like this.
But naturally, Tony would ask Akari what she wanted. Because unlike this waiter, Tony actually cared about the poor girl and actually wanted to do what he could to help her out. "What do you think, Akari? Anything good in there that you want me to buy you? Because if you want to, I can take you to a five star restaurant and get you something far better. But of course, I understand if you want to eat here. Even if certain waiters here are rude and undeserving of the generously large tips I usually give."
The choice was Akari's. Eat here, or wait just a little bit longer to go to a place that served far better food?

The waiter didn't seem persuaded easily, they still had standards and health codes to adhere to. "Well sir, she's also not the cleanest of girls, and we can't afford to get anyone sick, what if she's sick? At the very least, we would need to make sure no one sits by you. In all honesty, we want to earn another Michelin star for our restaurant, and risking something like that, that's going to hurt us. I'm more than happy to accommodate. But, at least take her to get cleaned up a little!" The watier whispered back to Antonio.
Akari was looking at the menu, trying to make sense of the words on it, she could read, but, she was looking for something in particular, but, the menu listed the name of the food item, and the main pieces of food that went in to it. She never really got in to cooking at the age she was when she was kicked out, so, she didn't know what it was she was looking for, she just knew what she was looking for, if that made any sort of sense.
"Well, I wanted to have a meal like from home. If that's not to much trouble Mister Tony." They would have to leave this place though, she seemed more nervous about how she was about to be thrown out of a home style restaurant and just feel like it was her home all over again.
She did look like she needed to get cleaned up. Her hair wasn't in the best state, strands were clumped together from oil build up, her dark hair had a light sheen to it in the light. She had a few faded dirt patches on her face here and there. Akari didn't get to bathe very often at this point in time, usually she had to find run off or a river, and only when people weren't looking. Though there was always a beach she could use if she had the means to go over to one.
