Yusaku opened the door to Kent's shop. By now, he was used to coming in and out by himself without knocking on the door. Due to his deal with Kent, he visited the workshop quite on a regular basis. This time though it would not be only for a simple routine check. Yusaku had some blue tinted papers. He had found them in his stash back home. Well, not exactly his stash, but more like in his father's old workshop.
If he knew anything, he knew that Kent was the only one capable to make some sense in all those scribbles his father left there when he was working on the robotic suit that was now his body. By now, months since their very first meeting, he pretty much knew Yusaku's in and out. Every screw, every wire. Everything.
This stuff was mad complex though. The robot did not know if it was actually buildable. Then again, a Direct Neural Interface was considered sci fi work, yet there he was, dragging one around wherever he went. He had no other to talk to about this so...it was literally Kent or can't.
Stopping by the first table, he would wait until he would be able to spot the weird technician and self proclaimed inventor. Then, he would throw the blueprints on the table, uncoiling them.
"Alright. Straight to the point. Can you build these." He asked, somewhat more serious than his usual. If Kent approached, he would find the schematics for...nanomachines. Yep. A microscopic colony of repair machines, supposed to take root inside Yusaku's oil system and function like human platelets, only with much more efficiency.
"I don't wanna waste your time. As far as money goes, these will cost alot I think. I don't really have all those funds. However, those blueprints are yours to keep if you can manage to create the stuff inside them. I figure something like that would be very valuable to you."

Brandon you son of a bitch, why did you bring your training equipment here and leave it unorganized. Kent sighs as he struggles to put all of it in a corner and just shove it away in a corner, already making the disorganized 'living room' even more disorganized. Such is the state of things when you have someone who comes by often and leaves random stuff around. He already has to deal with the parts lying on the ground and stuff.
As he was cleaning up, the usual door opening sound played. He looks around and sees a recurring client of his; Yuskau Izumi. The sentient suit of armor walks by, already familiar with the looks of Kent cleaning up the uncleanable mess that was his living room. "Yo! Be there in a sec!" He drags the bag filled with gloves and wrappings, leaving it in the corner as he shakes his head and pants a little, walking up the table where Yusaku is standing. "A bit early for the typical tune up, right?" he says, until he notices the blueprints. "Hmm?" Kid seems more serious. He looks at the uncoiled blueprints, where among it in full glory...were weird design schematics. Well, not weird as in 'foreign,' weird as in...hm. Kent looks at him. "...These are...wow. Where di-did you find this…" he mutters under his break as he picks up the blueprints and glazes over them. If what hes seeing is correct, then Yusaku is asking him for some sort of weird internal self repair system that utilizes nanomachines. This is...wow. Kent hit the jackpot in terms of inventions...a bit too hard, might add. Yusaku lets him know he can keep the blueprints to make them.
Kent looks at the blueprints, then at the kid again. "...This is really advanced. It'll take a long time to get it even working by himself. I wouldn't mind taking the effort though, but…hmmmmm…" He mutters something under his breath, not enough for him to be caught by Yusaku. "...Excuse me for a second." He gives him a smile as he heads to the back of the house, closing the door. This was an arduous uptaking of a job. He's not sure he can even do it! First off, hello, amesniac? Second of all, he can't really get the money unless he crunches really hard. Gaaaaaah, this is gonna be hard alone…
Hold on a second. Alone.
…
He pulls out his phone and goes to the underground chatboard.
10sai Eye to Bat: I found another interesting tech opportunity you might be interested in. Do you have time to spare? it involves a certain form of machine. A certain small form, so to speak
If he can't do it alone, at least he can try it with someone else's help. Even if the said someone is somewhat shady.

10sai Eye to Bat:
I found another interesting tech opportunity you might be interested in. Do you have time to spare? it involves a certain form of machine. A certain small form, so to speak
For once in his life, Goro didn’t feel tired. Dreamless slumber managed to last him much longer than the few hours it usually did, and his evening coffee batch had come out well. Goro wasn’t happy, but he wasn’t depressed. The day was looking to be a pretty quiet one, of just working on some of his tech, when a message came through the Tokyo Underground.
He had told 10sai to message him again should he figure anything out with the NighTech machine, but this wasn’t about that. Goro would’ve just ignored it, but the suggestion of nanotech had piqued his curiosity. Nanomachines and similar technology had already moved beyond the hypothetical, but they were far from commonplace. Goro had personally never had the pleasure of researching them in-depth, and the suggestion that might change was exciting.
He packed up most of his tools, and some of the smaller computer parts he’d kept, and headed off to 10sai’s shop. The last time he’d been there, he’d had to rely on all of 10sai’s tools, and he really didn’t want to do so again.
Goro opened the door into the shop, and flinched immediately. Izumi was there. Why was he there? Had he told another person about their deal? Goro’s heart rate skyrocketed, and his mouth hung open, unable to think of anything to say.
Any moment, it felt like he’d hear sirens, or a cop would burst through the backroom door, or a gang of vigilantes would suddenly jump out and beat him into unconsciousness. As his breath quickened, and his fingernails began to dig into his palms, Goro closed his eyes, and focused on the sound around him, trying to scan the vicinity.
Nothing. No one hidden, ready to take him by surprise. No strange slime girls, prepared to confront him or worse. Just the same layout the shop had last time, perfectly normal.
This wasn’t enough to silence Goro’s paranoia, but it was enough to ground him a little. He opened his eyes, and finally found his voice once more.
“I-Izumi, what are you doing here?” His mouth was still dry, so his voice was a little scratchy. With dread still boiling inside him, Goro stepped inside the shop, and let the door close behind him.

Yusaku was somewhat shocked as well, but for a whole other reason. Kent knowing Goro was something he did not think it would be possible. But alas, there he was.
He turned over and slowly made his way towards Goro. He would stop right in front of him, tail slowly wagging and denoting the robot's happiness to see him again. For Goro, a slow wagging tail would also denote eagerness from Yusaku too. Eagerness to be worn, in truth, by him. There was a reason as to why Yusaku wanted Goro to merge with him right then and there though. First, because that was the way they were most accustomed to eachother's presence and second, he could help him and Kent a little with his AR visor.
Yusaku gently wrapped his paws around Goro, knowing full well the bat guy wouldn't fight against it. His plating loosened up and he genty pushed Goro closer. Once he fent Goro climb inside, Yusaku swallowed him up inside his platig and locked himself shut. Faint clicks and some squeezing later, Goro had once again full control over his now fully armored body, even though it wasn't the usual Nightmare shell he was used to. The now taller, bat winged cat stretched lightly to make sure their shared form's weight was evenly distributed.
Yusaku walked him back to the table and liiked over to Kent. "We know eachother. Long time friends. We feel more comfortable fused together. Plus, I can help him with precision soldering stuff. My paws don't jiggle nor tremble." He quickly explained.
Then, he gently pushed Goro's gaze down on the blueprints. The paper lit up thanks to Yusaku's augmented reality and all the drawings turned into floating 3d models that could be zoomed into or exploded into the various parts.
"Can you build these?" The cat robot chimed inside Goro's head, squeezing tighter around his body. "Usually Kent is able to make any powerup for me alone. But I trust you."

Appealing to people has never been his strong point, Kent believes. There's a weird line that one has to consider when talking to people on the 'job, and that's interests. One has to appeal to each other's interests to make sure a deal is going strong. This way of thinking is so simplified, and he knows it. It's just what he himself believes is one of the more important parts of doing jobs for odd sources. You gotta keep them interested in you or else they might just get up and leave...or worse. Luckily, the interests that both he and Glasses share are quite easy to use to grab his attention. The simple mention of a rare kind of blueprint would make any self-thinking scientist/engineer/programmer jump out of their chair and beeline immediately.
Kent returns to where Yusaku is and lets him know that he'll have a friend come over who is more experienced than he is. Hopefully that's okay. They're quite secretive about their work, and just in case...well, he is a high caliber military project. No use in defending yourself. Plus he has the blueprint in his head now to use as a projection. Wouldn't hurt to destroy the blueprint if needed.
Of course, at the end of the day that all wouldn't be necessary. The moment he entered the room, the atmosphere changed. Was it tense? Was it nervous? Did something happen between these two, with how he casually mentioned his name. "Hey Glasses...see you two are acquainted." He notes openly, not making his suspicion on why he knew this kid audible. Right now he's just a client; if suddenly it's revealed he's one of the biggest criminal masterminds employing Glasses here as his personal mechanic...well first of all, UA is kinda a mess for allowing it, and second of all...he'll keep quiet about it until he gets more concrete info. But he honestly feels Yusaku isn't that bad of a kid.
The guy seems worried. Well...can't blame him. This random guy he met over the internet to talk about mechanics suddenly is revealed to know of his friends. Small world they live in, huh. Yusaku does his best to ease him, even layering his armor around the guy. Wonder how he feels about the wings being used. He just nods and folds his arms. "Huh. Coincidence, right? Didn't see this coming...but hey, help is always appericated. Although i didn't really expect you to help out as well, ehehe..." he tilts his head side to side, pondering about how to play this. Should he pry deeper into their friendship? Maybe later. Right now...they gotta think about this.
"Well, first things first...we gotta see the plans." He sees the yusaku-clad Goro glaring at the plans. "That's what we're working on, or at least, planning on. Small system to allow a form of self repair. What do you think? You think it's plausible, or do we need any certain parts to make it work?

The last thing Goro had expected was that Izumi would be happy to see him. After everything that had happened recently, he’d all but abandoned the possibility of ever seeing the robot again in any kind of public setting. If he’d pretended he didn’t know him at all, Goro wouldn’t have blamed him, but no. Izumi’s tail was swaying from side to side, like a happy dog.
Indeed, he didn’t resist Izumi sliding him inside, still a little too shocked to react. Izumi’s padded interior provided a bit of comfort, enough to shake Goro from his shock. Just in time to hear Izumi say 10sai’s actual name, too. Kent. It didn’t sound Japanese, but Tokyo was a multicultural place these days.
Watching Izumi’s paws open and close grounded him a bit, at which point he realized the robot wasn’t in his bat form today. Was this cat-like his default? It was the form he’d used in the Sports Festival, so perhaps.
His nerves now settled, Goro turned his attention to the plans laid out in front of him. These really were nanomachines. And not just any nanomachines, but ones designed for Izumi specifically. As he scanned over the plans, he laid one of Izumi’s paws on the image, and followed his eyes with their finger.
Had these ever been produced before, or did these designs only exist on paper? Whatever the answer was, the documentation was detailed.
“It will be possible, but it’ll take a lot of work, and a lot of materials. Whoever designed these left as much information about them as possible, so as long as we follow the blueprints to the letter everything should go fine.” Goro said. “I’ve brought some parts that I believed might help, and some do match with the plans. However, there’s a lot of equipment that we’ll need to even start on creating technology on such a small level. Kent, do you have anything like that?”

Yusaku in the meantime, as per his usual, squeezed himself tight onto Goro as to become his "second skin" and not hamper his movements. This resulted in the robocat thinning around the things and waist area, as well as shoulder area as well. Of course, he made sure Goro's wings would comfortably fit without rubbing on his back plating. The bat boy could feel his body partner grow more and more relaxed by the second. If their first movements had been a bit stiff, now he could walk around with the same fluidity he was used to as Nightmare.
Yusaku quietly observed as the two engineers there pooled their knowledge together. "I know it won't be easy." He mumbled, moving Goro's body so that their right hand paw would touch the blueprints and explode its AR counterpars all around the room for Goro to visualize. "But honestly speaking...you two are the only one I can trust with this."
The robotic cat then had Goro place their other paw on their hip, implicitly asking him for a moment of control as he moved their shared body in a confident pose to answer Kent's comment. "I might not know much about electronics and engineering despite being a literally walking talking suit of armor but as long as Goro's wearing me I'm pretty sure we can manage just fine. We've been sharing a body on a few occasions and each one of them lasted longer than the other with less energy waste. Trust me, we can get a nice rhythym going. First:"
He spread his paw hands open at Kent. "We do not flinch. We don't tremble. Nada. Zip." He stated, to make a point. "I just need Goro to guide my paws and I'm pretty positive I can deliver you the best soldering you've ever seen down to the micrometer. Second: AR. No need to look at paper if I can pull up 3D models around the room or draw things on my hud-actually...hold on...you can't see what we're seeing right now. That could be a problem. Uuuh. do you have any VR goggles around or something? I could try and connect to those to share the holograms."
Yusaku folded his arms, giving back control over to Goro. That was indeed a problem. Kent couldn't see what Goro and Yusaku saw right then and there.

"Dunno. I have some sources with machines like these, so at the very least we can come up with physical concepts. But something like that...well that's why we're here, right? To plan out?" Still suspicious. This kid who he often did repairs for revealed himself to be closely familiar with, let's not beat around the bush, somewhat of a shady guy. Have you seen the way he conducted himself in the last meeting? Even complete strangers tend to try to pass off some sort of familiarity with each other. This guy didn't. In fact, truth be told, if it weren't for the fact he showed interest in the engine and stuff like this, he can pass off as emotionally stunted. Too stoic for his own good. For this kid to be able to comfortably merge with this guy...Hmm. Bit of a warning sign.
He doesn't let this show through his face though. He silently glares at the two acting as one, observing every little thing that they have to construct. Nano technology...a field of science once thought to be impossible before the 21st century, and now has evolved even further during this time. If this was shown to scientists and engineers back then, they would dismiss it as nothing more than a children's science fiction invention, nothing more than the ramblings of a writer trying to spice up their show. If this goes well, they will create a self-sustaining system to heal and maintain the body. In other words, his own version of a nervous and circulatory system. Interesting.
"Hmm? Ah." He rubs his eyes as Yusaku lets him know about the AR, making him slightly chuckle. "Well...truth be told...I can kinda already do that. Glasses here already saw it...Excuse me a bit, can I see those plans again?" With permission he grabs it and looks over it, glazing through it all. "Alright, let's see here." he steps back a bit and opens his eyes wider, showing a dark crimson hue before it turns blue, showing a compass sigil in it as he emits a bright light in front of them, showing the blueprints in a form of a hologram. "I'm guessing you're talking about...these small details?" he moves a finger up and down as if he were scrolling on a touchpad, a nice trigger to make himself zoom in the hologram to display the blueprint's finest details. "Oh, interesting...Seriously, kid, where did you even get this? They look all customized for your body. Like..it was made for you." He says as he emits the projection.

The squeezing and shifting of the robot around him barely phased Goro at this point. He’d worn Izumi enough times to become accustomed to it. Izumi trusted him to help with something like this, and Goro trusted him back to not crush him.
For just a moment, Goro thought Kent had activated his Quirk again, but looking over at him, his eyes weren’t glowing. No, this was just Izumi’s heads-up display, showing the blueprints in 3D. He allowed Izumi to move himself as he answered Kent. He’s certainly more confident in their combined abilities than Goro is, but contradicting Izumi at this turn seemed rude.
Goro’s sigh was muffled a little by Izumi’s helmet. For all the parts Kent kept in supply for his business, even he didn’t have anything so specialized. So, having that kind of equipment would only help make Goro look even more suspicious to him. Fuck. With the distinct possibility still fresh in his mind that Kent might be a vigilante, there was a real risk that something like this could make everything go to Hell faster than they already were. Now wasn’t the time to worry about that though, he could do that later. As long as Kent was willing to still work with him, it’d be fine.
After their brief exchange, Kent’s eyes spun into action, overlaying the AR projections with his own set in Goro’s vision. The tinted screen between him and Kent’s glowing eyes provided enough cover that they didn’t irritate Goro’s own, so he could look through all the information displayed with ease. There were few discrepancies between the two projections; Kent’s had squiggly lines or static in a couple places where the text of the blueprints were unclear, but the rest was the same. Seemed Kent could only really project what he knew personally.
“Hm, you’re right, Kent.” Goro concurred. “These do appear very specifically designed for you.” It didn’t shock him as much as it seemed to Kent, since Izumi had disclosed some of the origin of his body before, but it was interesting, and a little disappointing. They were so specialized that it would be difficult to repurpose this technology for his own use.
“Izumi, do you have any spare materials left over from your body that could be used for these? One of the parts here-” Goro tapped an area of one of the projections at this point, the part of the nanomachines actually responsible for producing the materials for repairs, “-would best be reverse engineered from the technology in you.”

Yusaku was admittedly a little distracted. He was just letting the fact that Goro was wearing him again sink in. He thought he would never share a moment with him again. Goro would probably be able to percieve the little cat's happiness. A year of experience does do that to you.
"No point in hiding it. My body used to be a government funded project. They wanted to create an anti quirk riot suit. Or...well...something that allows the cops to fight villains. Since we have heroes now, the whole thig has been shut down. I'm the only working prototype."
Yusaku gently stretched again. He was really enjoying Goro's presence within him. Some of the armor plates on the robot's thigs opened up like pokes. Yusaku invited Goro to move their paws and grab the spare plates he had stored inside him.
"Spare armor plates are all I have on me. Considering Kent here has been tending to me for a few months..." he stated, hopefully clearing up some of Goro's doubts. "He should have some spare things too. Though...I guess you could also do the same thing you did when you built me wings."
Yusaku pointed at Goro's wings. They weren't armored right now, so the robot could not feel them on his back nor move them. He would not mind if he could though.
"Now that I think about it...I might need you to fix the alignment on my back plates too, Kent. Last time i tried to integrate them into my body it hurt really really bad. I wanna be able to lock onto the wing base without having to force it."
Goro could feel an istinctual tensing of Yusaku's body. The little robot was still a little traumatized by the armor bonding experience. He had to break his own joints to allow the wings to slot inside his shoulder blades.

Oh hey, something to keep in mind. Glasses guy over here has some shady tools and items that can help out constructing this. Nice to know, something that might screw him over or aid him in the long run. Seriously, it just keeps on stacking on itself. More and more doubt filled his mind, with his normal smile managing to hide it from the two. If he showed any form of disinterest or fear, it will probably go bad. He'll lose the kid's trust and the bat guy can probably stab him with his wings if he's that amoral...or leave with all the blueprints. Hoestly the blueprints stuff is far more horrifying than getting stabbed. He can recover from being stabbed.
Despite his confusion at how close they are together, he makes no outward note of it. Just listening content to the two of them. "Yeah, I recall you saying that. But as for the only one...Don't be so sure. I doubt you're the only prototype. There's bound to be more out there..." He makes a small note, somewhat absentmindedly, before continuing on. "There's always concepts. Proto-prototypes, so to speak. It's all in the process: you can't just claim one and done. "For example, all those spare parts. You really expect all of that for one unit?" He gets up close the duo, look at the back plates. "Just something to keep in mind." He's probably thinking Goro had the same lingering thought in him: No such thing as only one prototype. Somewhere out there. Another mystery of sorts? Or is it mental projecting? Who knows. If the team behind this was smart or anything, they would have some stuff lying in the back, either kept away from Yusaku, mostly destroyed, or sold out.
"As for the back plates...I think I can do that. You want Glasses inside while I fix it or you prefer him entrapped?" he says as he starts to turn to grab his tools.
