Top Twelve Students: Year One
Student-Sourced Ranking
Student-Sourced Ranking
Hello students and teachers of UA, and happy second year! We at the Japanese Hero Program are delighted to present the Top Twelve Most Heroic Students at UA! This student-selected ranking is a first of its kind, designed to promote healthy competition among our fledgling young heroes, and emulate the public scrutiny they should expect as Profession Heroes! Your peers were used as stand-ins for the public, as evaluations were sought in the fields most relevant to Heroism. Every six months, it’ll be updated based on your feedback, so if you didn’t make it, don’t be disappointed--everyone’s got a shot at the top!
With that out of the way, let’s get to our shining stars!
1: Tetsuko Shindou
Our number one pick, Tetsuko, is a steel-hearted soldier, diligent in grades, and on the practice field! There’s not a person in Japan who should question her mettle--she’s cool under pressure, and has morals of iron! In fact, anyone who knows her knows she never rests enough to gather rust. Especially impressive is, in the nature of her quirk, Tetsuko has put many hours into training her mind and body to handle the weapons her quirk produces. Suffice to say she’s been no slouch, maintaining the love of her fellow students, her own standards, her morals, and an ever expanding array of talents!
2: Daimon Darren
Rocketing in right at her heels, the number two student is a shooting star, popular with his peers, and a powerhouse on the field! Perhaps it’s his place in his band, OD Hazard, that sped him to second, or teaching fellow students in the martial arts club. No matter how skilled, however, this lad can’t seem to dodge detention! Shocking given his ability to dodge lightning itself! Intense displays at the UA sports festival certainly helped his odds here, and with this speedy fellow on her heels, Tetsuko better keep an eye on that first place spot!
3: Kirk Bluster
Living proof that no matter your quirk, you can be a hero, Kirk Bluster packs
kindness, positivity, and dedication! No baggage is too heavy for him to carry, and he’s not afraid to get in a duffle--er...I mean, scuffle. In the UA Sports festival, Kirk showed up students with much flashier quirks, and ended up with a neat victory in the bag, his capabilities more than clear! What’s more, his dedication and spirit has made him much beloved among his classmates, and his role in the Sports Club proves that Captain Kirk is a well-respected leader!
4: Elise Von Eisenberg
The slime doth pour into our number four. Elise’s fluid figure has let her ooze her way into the hearts of her fellow classmates, and despite a harsh year for her personally, she has retained an upbeat persona that has captured those around her! Of course, she’s no slouch with her quirk either. Displaying skill in aiding her allies and even holding her own across Semper Fi and the sports Festival, Elise has slipped and slid right into her space in UA’s top five with ease!
5: Yumi Tasukai
Don’t be shocked to see this young lady at fifth place! Always moving, never static, Yumi has been improving a lot from the self doubting girl she was at the beginning of the year. Still, her doubts are present, and she has a long way to go in fully utilizing her electrifying quirk. A blunder at Semper Fi in firing off her quirk has been overshadowed by her intense display against Darren in the sports festival. Maybe she’ll zip zap her way up the ladder, but for now she’s a solid number 5!
6: Miku Hajimari
Rising from the weeds at sixth place, Miku has distinguished herself with her scrappy attitude and underdog charm. Don’t underestimate this little sprout! She’s got the determination to take on any opponent, no matter how strong, and won’t ever be the first to leaf a fight! Despite a promising round-one, she came away from the tournament empty-handed, but that doesn’t mean we weren’t rooting for her all along!
7: Risaka Reinacht
Risaka Reinacht, the Rainbow Ranger, rides in at rank seven! Although reserved in class, she shows her true colors when danger rears its head! Rumors have her facing down at tank at Semper Fi, a grayt feat for which civilians and students alike owe her their gratitude! But if you’re planning on thanking this monochrome maiden, maybe do so from a distance--she prefers the quieter life!
8: Rowan Sakamoto
Hot on Risaka’s heels comes Rowan. Our ‘hot as hell(fire)’ key player in the UA cheer squad, Rowan knows how to motivate her classmates; and shows the key points of both moral, and how to be a team player. She brought the school victory in her Sports Festival cavalry battle. Though fire is a dangerous element, this girl understands, as every good hero should, how to temper herself to keep people safe. Here’s hoping she strikes that balance while the Iron’s hot, and gets her chance to blast up the list next time!
9: Chimera
At number nine, we have UA’s GOAT, with muscles as large as his giant heart! His outside might be intimidating, but this beastly boy is no black sheep--in the Semper Fi Training camp disaster, he personally rescued several civilians, then went back to prove he could do it again at the UA Sports festival. While he might not be a showgoat--er--showboat, he’s also no stranger to the camera, starring in a popular vlog calling for compassion for mutants. And that’s not even counting his fans among the students--he’s widely known as one of the friendliest heroes-in-training in UA!
10: Chise Ishihara
If you’re speechless at seeing this young lady on the list, you haven’t been paying enough attention! Perhaps not the strongest of quirks, but one that has been put to interesting use; Chise, much like Kirk, has been actively proving your quirk is not the be all and end all of your skill as a hero. Popular with her classmates, and ever courageous, playing active roles in past events and actively participating in classes like capture the flag, Chise is showing everyone what work and dedication can do for you here at UA, and certainly isn’t the type to go down quietly in the face of a challenge!
11: Eli Bantis
Diamonds might be a girl’s best friend, but anyone should be honored to consider themselves a friend of this hero-in-training. A knight of diamonds Eli put on a great show going up against the power suited heroine Meara in the UA sports festival, and brought his school glory by claiming victory in his go at the obstacle course competitions. Ever putting his best foot forward, this diamond in the rough is bound to shine, and might soon find his way up into the top ten with one more push!
12: Rin Kurama
The beating heart of her class, Rin Kurama might not seek the spotlight, but she certainly deserves a toast! Her top role in the last UA rankings earned her a lot of harsh attention, but she kept her head held high and let other’s blood boil as she continued to do her best. Definitely a team player, she was seen utilizing a combination of her quirk and that of a fellow student to clear a room of poison at Semper Fi, before proceeding to focus her efforts on that same students’ recovery. She is always willing to open a vein for her friends and fellows, and despite not looking for glory, she deserves her place on the list!
With that out of the way, let’s get to our shining stars!
