Dusk; the perfect time of day where people tucked in for the evening and the arrival of some 'friendly' faces scouring the city. One of these friendly faces happened to be Nari, the brunette mutant with a blood sucking animal for a tongue. Walking amidst the broken glass and trash of the darker parts of the city, Nari admired the twinkling lights that shone above, finding them to be the most fascinating things she saw that evening. Walking through the streets and back ways of the city, Nari, in her civilian attire, walked among the other civilians of the city, under a 'guise of her own, casual yet dressy attire with her signature notepad and a smile on her face. Yes, it was nights like this that seemed to be the most interesting, the quietness of it all could bring about any sort of interaction or event just waiting to happen.
As the sun went down the street lights turned on, adding to the illuminating stars in the sky. The green eyed girl had no plans of her own tonight other than walking about. No people she had to see, no places she had to go, no goody-two-shoes she had to kill, it was rare Nari found herself with a night off. Just what would she do with this free time of hers? Perhaps she could pop in one of the local bars to hear the latest gossip and grab a drink before heading home and calling it an evening. There was always some sort of word going around these days, you had to be up on the latest gossip else you feel like you're out of the loop. The brunette grinned as she made her way into town to visit one of the local bars, one drink wouldn't hurt.

It had been a while since Alaster had went outside to do more than just wear the mask that was Harry R. Krowe. Besides his almost recent shopping spree at the black market, as well as that night he and Niso tortured and killed a scumbag and then burned down that building, Alaster had not done much villainy recently. It was time to go fix that. It was time to remind the world that it was not safe from Crowley's sadistic wrath.
Alaster headed outside wearing a more casual villain attire. He sported a black hoodie, black leather gloves, blue jeans, and black shoes. He also had his black bag, which contained his crow mask, his new dart gun, some darts, some acid, and a few other goodies for torture purposes. He knew what he wanted to go do, but he had no idea exactly where to go to do it. Oh well, may as well wing it.
As he kept walking, Alaster noticed a small bar. It already brought back some horrible memories of Ramos's Bar and Grill. So many less than fond memories of the Deadlock Gang. Not only that, but of course that night all those months ago when he went against his better judgment and had too much to drink. Thinking of what 'Brooke' (or whatever that bitch's real name was) had made him do the next morning was just painfully dreadful. It was one of the reasons why Alaster decided never to touch anything alcoholic again, as well as why he avoided entering bars unless he had a good reason to.
Still, Alaster found himself entering the small bar anyway. Not to get a drink, of course. He was not one to make the same mistake more than once. The reason was simple. Bars tended to attract stupid people. It would be easy to find someone who wouldn't be missed, convince them to follow him outside by picking a fight with them, and then blissfully torture them all night long whilst being far away from any prying eyes.
Naturally, no matter how much Alaster wished he could forget that embarrassing night and morning that came right after, it seemed that fate always had a way to give him the finger and stop those particular memories from being repressed for long. Alaster stopped when he saw a far too familiar face inside the bar.
"Bollocks." Alaster muttered quietly. "Of freaking course this bitch would be here."
On the one hand, he did not loathe her nearly as much as he did all those months ago. Compared to the sheer hatred he felt for the Deadlock Gang and especially G, Alaster's dislike for the lamprey-tongued girl was rather tame in comparison. On the other hand, what she did was not really something he could ever let slide so easily. One way or another, he wanted to get even. No, he wanted to do far worse. Make her regret the day she ever thought that messing with him was a good idea. A sadistic grin appeared on his face as he went over to the girl, though by the time he reached her, his face was back to a neutral expression.
If Nari did not immediately notice Alaster by the time he approached her, then he would wrap an arm around her as though she were a long time friend to grab her attention, quickly letting go before she could complain. Then he would greet her with a faux cheery expression. Otherwise, he would just give her the fake smile.

The brunette walked into a bar quite familiar to her, taking in its surroundings again after not having been here in what seemed like forever. She had kept in touch with one of the bartenders every now and again but beside that there wasn’t must contact. Both were too busy, one working while the other was having fun. It seemed her muse wasn’t here tonight, Nari supposed she’d have to deal with the man serving drinks behind the bar instead. Sitting down at the bar, Nari looked to the bartender and spoke up, “One seabreeze if you will,” hoping they were still making them here. If not, she could settle for something else. She liked that little bit of tartness the grapefruit gave off. Nari glanced around the bar, not seeing any familiar faces, instead just a sea of drunken men. Nari couldn’t help but roll her eyes, seems the only pleasures lie in alcohol for these poor souls. As she turned back to take a sip of her newly poured drink, a familiar voice called out to her in a name she only used as a backup as well as feeling the arm of said sleezebag wrap around her shoulder. The olive eyed girl looked to her side only to see a familiar white head of hair, now just what could he be doing in a place like this. “Look what the cat dragged in~ If it isn't crow boy in the flesh. I thought after last time you would hate coming to places like these,” she teased, taking a sip of her drink before setting it back down to give her undivided attention to the man beside her. “Are you here for a rematch or are you just looking to get your butt kicked again~?” the brunette asked with a gleam in her eye, her pupils slitting as she stared down the controller of crows. “Answering your question, it is a lovely evening, still quite young and filled with many an opportunity, don’t you think crow boy~?” she asked with a smile like she had always put on for those around her. Even though she had been here before, you never knew just who might be looking and listening in. Not everyone was who the appeared to be.

If Alaster had been hoping that Nari would be even a tiny bit more tolerable now compared to the last time he saw her, then he would have been severely disappointed. Seeing as this was not the case, he was not surprised at all that the woman was practically the same as ever. Of course, he would not just take her playful jabs at him without firing back some of his own. "And I would have assumed after not seeing you for months that you would have mellowed out a bit by now and be less of an insufferable bitch. But it seems you still have that pole up your arse. A shame, since that putrid mouth of yours ruins what would otherwise be a pretty face. Fortunately for me, I never bothered trying to get my hopes up about you."
Another faux smile appeared on Alaster's face upon hearing what Nari had to say next. How adorable. The bitch really thought that she was actually relevant enough to him that he would actually go out of his way to seek her out? Or that she could actually beat him? Alaster could not help but chuckle at the silly ideas before replying to her. "Hilarious, but wrong. I actually came here to find a moron to bloody up a bit. Some poor irrelevant commoner that no one would really miss. Fortunately for me, I just so happened to find the perfect street rat here. You!"
Another smile, this time far more sinister and malicious. "But now that you mention it, I wouldn't mind having a go with you. Assuming you don't run away like a little bitch, I'll be more than happy to have some fun with you." Alaster's smile faded to a neutral expression as he listened to more of the girl's words. Although not impossible, it was rather difficult to look like he actually gave a crap about whatever came out of her mouth. "Agreed. So many possibilities. Who knows, perhaps you'll prove to actually be worth my time."
Ignoring the bartender and anyone else nearby, Alaster got closer to Nari to whisper in her ear. These next words were not ones anyone else here needed to hear, lest a rat goes to call the police for an imminent crime and potential murder. "If you're serious about this, then we should go outside. Unless you don't mind having the fodder here. I don't care about killing anyone who gets in the way, but I'd rather you not hide behind one of them like a coward once I beat your arse to a bloody pulp. Or are you too scared to face me without any meatshields?"
Seeing the bartender look at him with a confused and possibly wary look, Alaster smiled at the man. "Hi, I want to buy my 'friend' here another drink. She's clearly enjoying this one. Isn't that right, 'dear' Brooke?"
Alaster was curious to see what the girl would do. Would she come up with a sad excuse to try to worm her way out of a beating? Or would she accept her fate and at least try to put up a decent fight? It ultimately made no difference to Alaster, seeing as he could always test out his new gun, darts, and acid at some other poor sod. Still, he could not deny that he was a bit eager for some payback for what the bitch did to him all those months ago. If she thought that she could humiliate him again, or even just get away with what happened last time, then she was horribly mistaken. Nari glared at Alaster, letting out a soft "Tch", as she bit her nail. How dare he call her a bitch with a pole up her ass. If anyone had the pole up their ass it would be the white haired man himself. "The only one talking shit is you Crowley, You and your pathetic excuse for villainy," Nari said, taking another sip at her drink before glaring daggers at the white haired man. Just as she was having a nice night, this sorry sap had to crawl in and ruin her good mood. As for asking for his intentions on coming her, mocking him by saying he couldn't stand not being able to see her, he was out her picking on sorry folks. Sure Nari liked to do that every now and again, but she just didn't go out killing for no reason...well a few times she had. More often than not it was always some prejudice bastard who deserved the torture. Nari's pupils slitted as Alaster called her the sorry someone he was looking for tonight. Was he trying to start a fight? Did that poor fool think he was funny trying to intimidate her?
"I'd rather be called a snake than a rat, at least I'm not some filthy animal like you with your nasty birds flying around," Nari scoffed before listening to Alaster declare having a fight with her. "The only one who'll be running away is you when you crawl back with your little tail between your legs, crying to mommy because a girl hurt you," Nari said with a snicker. It had been a while since she last had a good battle. She had yet to show anyone the capabilities of her quirk now. She couldn't quite remember if the other had seen her use her quirk. She was sure she used mostly knives back then but that was in the past now.
She was a bit surprised to see Alaster get close to her, was he trying to turn her on? Fat chance, a pansy like him could never please someone of higher standing like her. It seemed, though, he was serious about his little brawl. Perhaps she'd take enjoyment in kicking his ass in the back alley. She wonder what bird blood tasted of? "The only one who's the coward is you my friend, hiding behind your little tools because of your weak little quirk. I don't back down from a challenge, although this little fight will be like child's play," she cooed, ending with a soft sinister chuckle as the man pulled away and ordered a drink for her. Was he trying to get her drunk before the match started? She wouldn't take things so lightly. "Save the drink for later, Mr. Bartender. I'll be sure to come back for it, don't you worry~ I wouldn't pass up a free drink~" she cooed, finishing her drink before throwing a few bucks down on the table. Nari leaned in close to Alaster and spoke in a hushed tone of voice, "I hope you're ready, crow boy~" she said before pulling away and making her way outside. This would definitely be a fun evening, just when she thought it was ruined. As Nari walked further and further away from the bar and into a more secluded area, she stopped and turned behind her to see Alaster a bit from her. "Why don't you put your little toys aside, unless you're too chicken to go at me one on one with just our quirks~?" she teased, sticking her tongue out and licking her lips, not showing of her lamprey mouth just yet.

The more Nari spoke, the more tempted Alaster was to just go over to the woman and slap her face with as much force as he could muster. She really knew how to be annoying. Still, Alaster's outward expression would remain stoic. He refused to let her know that she was good at getting under his skin like the parasite she was. He would not give her that satisfaction. Instead, Alaster smiled, almost chuckling upon hearing Nari call his wonderful crows 'nasty birds'. Naturally, he wanted to gut her for daring to insult the birds. They were far more intelligent and clever than most humans. Not to mention far more likeable.
"My mum's dead, so thanks for that. I'll be sure to 'cry' to her corpse about how I bloodied the crap out of a pathetic weakling. Hell, if you're lucky enough, perhaps you'll be able to tell her yourself about how you got your arse handed to you." It seemed that Nari couldn't decide between being infuriating and being completely hilarious. Alaster needed to hold back the urge to laugh. Him, a coward? Fat bloody chance! He feared nothing! No foolish human would ever incite fear within Alaster, least of all this lamprey-tongued bitch.
"Wow 'Brooke', you really are as moronic as you look." Alaster said quietly, almost in a whisper, but certainly loud enough for Nari to hear. "Need I remind you what happened the morning after our little drinking game? I would have thought you of all people would have remembered. Even though I easily could have, I did not flee back then. What makes you think I would flee now? Or ever? Especially from the likes of you?" Really, did she not know who she was dealing with? He was the villain ranked seventh of all Japan! Who the bloody hell was she? Alaster looked forward to teaching her the hard way just how foolish she was for thinking he was a joke.
Ignoring Nari's jab at how his quirk was weak, Alaster followed her to the destination of their showdown. "Do be careful not to take my generosity for granted, Miss 'Brooke'. I was more than fine with paying for your drink, but I won't be paying for your funeral." After hearing Nari suggest putting his little 'toys' aside, Alaster shrugged. "I have no problem with that. You see, I don't need to rely on my tools to fight. Maybe you like to assume others have weak quirks and need to use their toys to make up for that because it applies to you, perhaps? Well I can assure you that that is not the case with me."
Holding out his bag, Alaster did not yet throw it off to the side just yet. Instead, he smiled as he looked at Nari. More specifically the crows that were perched on the rooftop behind her that was just within his range. Only five crows rather than the eight his quirk could handle at the most, but five was better than zero. "Before I drop this, why don't you do the same and get rid of all your toys, Miss 'Brooke'? Ladies first, as the saying goes. Or are you so afraid of losing that you feel the need to handicap everyone but yourself? Please don't suggest that it's perfectly okay for you to carry weapons, but anyone else doing so is unfair or cheap of them to do."
If Nari chose to either show all the weapons she had on her and get rid of them, or at least prove without a shadow of a doubt that she had no weapons or tools on her, then Alaster was more than willing to do the same and throw all his tools off to the side. If, however, she chose not to do so, or she tried anything suspicious, Alaster would merely pretend to throw all of his weapons aside but keep one or two acid darts concealed. Alaster trusted Nari about as much as he enjoyed the bright shining sun. In other words, not at all.
Even if Nari did choose to cheat, Alaster was not concerned. He did not need anything but his quirk to put an end to this insufferable bitch. He doubted that she would pose much of a threat, although he hoped that she was not just all bark and no bite. He did love a challenge, as it made killing his victims all the more satisfying when they put up a good fight. And even if Alaster were to lose here, he would not flee or complain. He was ready to take the loss with dignity and admit he was wrong about Nari if that were the case. But would Nari do the same? Or would she make up excuses and whine like a little bitch? Well there was only one way to find out.
Once the two were ready, Alaster smiled. He was looking forward to this. "I'll grant you the first move. Come at me. And don't you dare disappoint me." There was no going back now, and there was no running away. Alaster kept a close eye on Nari, awaiting her first move. |

Nari was growing rather bored of all this talking, seemed like Alaster was all talk and no play. It was time for the show so no more interruptions! The two villains made their way outside one after the other, making their way towards one of the dark back alleys away from the view of any passing civilians. Hearing Alaster speak about her hiding behind her own tools made her snicker, oh what a fool he was. "While the toys are nice for an added bit of fun during a match, I by no means rely on them to help me fight. I'm more than capable of taking you down with my quirk alone," Nari said, hiking her skirt up a bit and reaching for her knife, pulling it out of it's harness and tossing it aside. This was a fair fight after all, she would at least play by that rule. A fight with trickery just wasn't how a lady fought and she was sure a so called 'gentleman' like himself would abide by such a simple rule as well. Nari looked up in the sky, seeing the few birds perched on the tops of buildings and the telephone wires above. "Do you think your poor birdies would be any match against me? You have another thing coming, Crow Boy," Nari said with a smirk, readying herself for this fight. If she wanted the upper hand, she'd have to rush at him and attack his weak points so that he couldn't call for his help.
She watched as he discarded his own weapons, owning up to the spoken rule about no weapons during this little fight. She was surprised, he was acting like a goody-two-shoes...and to think she thought he'd cheat. Things could turn out that way during the fight, so it wasn't smart to let her guard down just yet. Hearing that Alaster was giving her the first move, the brunette smirked, "I appreciate the though, but that was the biggest mistake you could have made~" Nari spoke before charging toward Crowley. She had taken a look of her surrounds on Alaster's side to see if he'd use anything to defend himself but there wasn't much there. As she grew closer, she dodged to the left in an attempt to get behind him to get a good shot at his neck to lunge out. If that didn't work she'd use her fists to attack, going for a punch to the face or defend herself if he by chance activated his quirk before she got to him.

With both villains setting their stuff aside, it was now time for the battle to begin! Nothing but their quirks to try to maim each other with. Alaster looked forward to shutting this bitch up and showing her why crossing him was the worst mistake she had ever made in her miserable life. He looked forward to hearing her screams of agony and seeing her blood paint the ground.
Apparently, letting Nari get the first move was a mistake on Alaster's part. However, he disagreed. By letting her go first, he would see where she was headed and what she planned to do. Thus, he would be able to form a plan to counter whatever she thought of. So she's coming right at me, eh? Alaster smiled. How predictable. She knew that his quirk relied on crows doing the work for him. So by getting close to him, she hoped to prevent him from using it and thus being helpless to her onslaught. At least that's what he thought.
To start off, Alaster began by keeping his distance from Nari. As she moved towards him, he would try to move away from her. As she got close enough to punch him, Alaster raised his arms to block the punch, only just barely blocking it in time. Rather than trying to hit her back, however, Alaster chose to back away again. He guessed that she would probably think of his actions as cowardly, that he was running away. That was not the case at all. If she did have some taunt calling him out on his supposed 'cowardice', Alaster would have a retort ready. "It's called strategy, moron. I would tell you to try it sometime, but I know thinking isn't your strong suit, seeing as you lack a brain." Otherwise, he'd just remain silent and continue to back away from Nari while keeping an eye on both her and his surroundings.
Alaster was not just backing away and moving in a random direction. His goal was to try to get as many crows within range as possible. He wanted to have as many birds under his control as possible when he did activate his quirk. Of course, he doubted that the lamprey-tongued girl would just let him do that. No, she would no doubt try to stop him from activating his quirk so she would have less things to deal with.
And that was what Alaster was banking on. He hoped that Nari would try to use her quirk on him. Not only would he see just what her range was, but if possible, he wanted to try to grab her tongue if and when she stuck it out. If all went well, then he would be able to trap her tongue and make her unable to strike him with it as he called on the crows.
Of course, things did not always go according to plan. Alaster needed to be ready in case his plans failed or Nari had a trick or several up her sleeve. So for now, he would continue to move around and back away from her whenever possible, playing it safe for as long as he could manage. Now was not the time to try to attack the girl. Soon, but not quite yet. WORDS 549 TAGS Nari ShimizuNOTES He's not the type who likes fighting with his fists. Because he sucks at it lol |

Backing away huh? Just what was he trying to manage by doing this? Nari quickly looked up for a split second before throwing another punch, was he trying to get his crows in range? Sure there were a few scattered on the rooftops but if he thought some pathetic birds could defend him then he was sorely mistaken. "Backing away from the fight crow boy? I thought you wanted to fight me! Hiding behind your little rats with wings isn't going to help at all!" Nari cried out, trying to sweep her leg under Alaster in an attempt to trip him but he moved a second before her leg hit. With a small groan, Nari kept advancing Alaster, trying to keep him preoccupied before he could use his quirk. If she could immobilize him before he could use his hands or quirk then she'd have this sprawl in the bag. His pathetic retort did nothing but by him time, as if his words could deter her from kicking his ass in combat.
"Come on Crowley, put up a fight! Attack me! Show me what your pathetic quirk can do! Play with me Crowley, show me the villain you say you are!" Nari cried out with an almost psychotic laugh, throwing out a barrage of punches in hopes of tiring him and or getting him to attack. If Alaster did manage to throw a punch, Nari would grab his arm and thrust him to the ground, grabbing his arms and immobilizing them while she straddled his lap, making him lay down and gaze up at her terrifying form. If he did not, she kept tossing her punches and provoking him in case he perhaps did decide to strike back. Show her that he was taking this fight seriously and not backing down from this challenge. She wondered how his blood tasted, perhaps she'd found out the answer sooner rather than later.

As Alaster continued to back away from Nari, he was mentally scolding himself. Of course he had to specialize in range. And it just so happened that this bitch was someone who liked to fight up close. Maybe she was a mid-range fighter as well? It depended on how long that tongue of hers was. Alaster never did get to see just how long it could get. He had a feeling that he might get to learn the hard way.
Still, she was not using her tongue just yet. Alaster began to wonder why. That could only mean one of two things. Either her tongue was not very long and she did not have much range, or she was saving it for later. Perhaps she wanted him to believe that it was not very long when it actually was in an attempt to get him to relax and lower his guard? Was that it, or was he overthinking things? Well in any case, he was not about to let his guard down one bit. Why make things easy for her?
Alaster knew that he could not keep on avoiding Nari's punches forever. It was not like he wanted to anyway. How much it would delight him to wipe that smug expression from that bitch's face. Oh, how much he would love to punch her face in repeatedly! He wanted to fight. He wanted to maim, injure, even kill if she pushed him far enough and gave him a reason to. Not that he really needed one. However, his greatest weapon was his brain. If she thought for even a second that he was avoiding her attacks because he intended to back away from this challenge, then she was in for a very nasty surprise.
"Eager to die so badly, are you? Well if that's what you really want, then who am I to not indulge you?" Alaster smiled. A quick glance as he narrowly missed another punch. Four crows were within his range, with the fifth one just barely being outside of it. Oh well, he supposed that this was as good as it was going to get. Time to make this bitch regret being so eager to get me to attack. With a grin, he cawed loudly and activated his quirk.
Unfortunately, that created a small opening. One that would allow Nari to hit Alaster before he could move away in time. And now, Alaster was essentially helpless before whatever attack(s) she decided to throw at him.
But to Alaster, that did not matter at all. She could attack him as much and as hard as she wanted, and it would ultimately not matter. All he needed to do was utter two very simple words. Ones that would probably make Nari think twice about what to do next. If she wasn't careful, then she would have to deal with the wrath of four berserk crows that were under Alaster's complete control. As soon as he had the opportunity to, Alaster wasted no time in issuing his command.
"Attack her!"
And with that, four of the five crows swooped down, eyes glowing red as they aimed to fly down at Nari. The fifth one just watched, probably wondering what the commotion was all about and why its buddies decided to fly right into the action. As the brunette advanced, Crowley kept backing away, honestly what a coward he was. Was it some gentlemanly code saying he couldn't hit a woman or something after saying how much he'd love to make her eat her words. Nari stopped her assault as she looked up, noticing the increasing number of crows on the rooftops. She new his quirk involved summoning crows, finding out this bit of information from an underground source. Was he backing away from her to get more crows in his range? As she hesitated for a moment, this gave Crowley the chance to summon his crows with a loud caw. Nari screamed and lashed out at Crowley, knocking him back hard onto the concrete below.
"You're going to regret that Crowley!" Nari screamed as she pinned him to the ground, lunging her tongue out and striking the white haired boy's throat as he uttered his command upon the crown, hearing their caws as they made their descent upon the duo. Just as Nari had sunk her tongue into Crowley's neck, she drank just a bit of blood before pulling away, getting up and standing her ground and lashing her tongue out at the crows, latching onto them one by one and draining enough blood to weaken them so they couldn't do anything past laying defenseless on the ground. Not like it would take that long to drain enough blood from these creatures given their size. Nari tried defending herself from the crows she hadn't gotten to yet, feeling the scratch her face and arms only slightly before turning back to Crowley, tongue hanging out from her mouth with the blood of those winged rats dripping onto the ground below, some dripping onto her skirt and shoes. Retracting her tongue, Nari looked at the other with slitted eyes, "Did you like the bit of acid I injected into your neck bird boy~? See, my quirk is more than just me draining the blood from my victims. I've learned what else I can do with it, going beyond what I even thought was capable." Nari began moving closer to the other, not sure exactly what he was planning but the bit of blood she had managed to get from him before his stupid birds ruined the game should be enough to make him dazed. "Your blood was rather tasty for a scumbag like yourself, won't you give me more~? There's no way you can win now Crowley, just give up and accept defeat~" Nari snickered, licking her lips as her blood-thirst only grew stronger.

Alaster grinned at Nari, even as he was knocked down to the ground. "Bitch, the only thing I'm regretting right now is ever thinking that you were ever worthwhile in any way." But of course, he would not grin for much longer. That tongue of hers was proving to be a huge problem. Alaster could not really do much to avoid that disgusting tongue of hers. Even worse, she was dealing with the crows he had taken control of. Bollocks! He was about to try headbutting her, but she was already getting off him.
Despite the better tolerance to pain Alaster had compared to most people, that did not make Nari's tongue any less unpleasant. A shame I didn't drink poison or something beforehand. How dare this bitch pollute my blood! I'll make her suffer and writhe in pain for this! Still, in a close up fight, Nari had the clear advantage. Alaster's quirk did not do him any favors when it came to close combat. But did that mean that Alaster would just give up? Of course not. He would not allow himself to ever surrender. Any forfeiting he had ever done in the past was nothing more than a ploy, an act of deception. Even if she could make him say those accursed words, that would not make them genuine.
Alaster slowly got back up. "Defiling my blood with that diseased tongue of yours. Is that really all you got?" It was extremely difficult if not outright impossible, but Alaster was doing his best not to let the pain from that acid of Nari's show. Why give her the satisfaction? "What's the matter, sleeping with the enemy too overdone for you? Been there, done that, I presume? So you instead use your filthy mouth to pollute others in a different way?" Not that it was doing him any good here, but Alaster would also use his tongue here, though obviously not in the same way as Nari.
While it could reasonably be assumed by one that mere taunting was the only thing Alaster had left to throw at Nari, this simply wasn't the case. Even now, his brain was rushing to think of a plan. And he had one. Quite reckless and dangerous, one bound to go wrong if not extremely careful, but still a plan nonetheless. It was simple. If he could not avoid injury, then Alaster was determined to attack despite his injury, despite the near certainty of more injuries.
"Jeez, and here I thought you could actually pose a threat to me! But after seeing your pathetic quirk in action, I'm honestly very disappointed. But I suppose that scum like you knows nothing but how to disappoint others."
It was a simple plan. Either piss off Nari, or get her to think that Alaster was just being desperate by taunting her. Make her think that she had everything under control. "You said my blood was quite tasty, no? Well come try to get some more. If you can that is. After all, it's not like I drank any slow-acting poison to contaminate my own blood. Come, if you think I'm so weak, then surely you don't fear attacking me, right? Or do you want me to call in more crows? You're not the only one whose quirk has grown since last we met, after all."
And if Nari did choose to attack him, then Alaster could set off his trap. It was risky yet simple. If she tried using her tongue again, then Alaster would simply try to grab and hold on to it, not letting go. That way, she could not drink any more blood, or do much of anything with it. At least that was the theory. Or if she approached him herself, then the first thing he would go for would be her eyes. Or if she chose to play it safe and not come close at all, Alaster would just simply use his quirk, control any nearby crows, and have them all attack Nari.
Either way, Alaster was not about to let something like physical injury and pain stop him from ripping a bitch piece by bloody piece. No matter what, he was not about to give up. WORDS 707 TAGS Nari ShimizuNOTES Persistence and lies, Alaster's two most trusted weapons besides his quirk |
