The streets of Nakano were quiet – perfect for the plan. As the crime-laced streets sat with soft sound moving through, and rowdy ruffians slinking in and out of alleyways in the district to get to their next short-lived thrill, above lay a tight little plot, set by one Chiyuri Akagi, and in tandem with a certain fellow street samurai by the name of Kenshin Akadama. The two had met before in regards to the recent goings on in Nakano, and since they had a pretty similar style of fighting despite the age difference, she was more than happy to help beat the crimewave with other people by her side, it made her feel more at home knowing she could count on allies to get shit done. But what was the plan? Well, Chiyuri dropped a message to Kenshin a while ago, detailing a plan to take out some lightweight thugs in specific areas stealthily, as to employ some wicked-sick fear tactics to the crime bosses hanging around! If you could call a few texts and a hastily drawn model a “game plan”. But picking off random thugs could actually help a lot, despite them being low on the 'corporate' ladder – less muscle means drawing out the bigger fish. And so, with the plan starting up, Chiyuri made it to the agreed location. Just above a little busted-up thrift store, by the ventilation shaft. She took off her headphones and started to keep her eyes peeled for that digital samurai, so she could see what he could do directly alongside her. He might have been a kid, but a kid with that ability is someone to consider, especially in a pretty bad situation like Nakano. It pained the lass to see her city in turmoil, so a nice fixer-upper on the wrongdoings of common criminals would soothe her soul, at least for a moment.

There was seemingly no end to the crimes going on in Nakano. Realistically, there was no way for one, two, or even several groups of people to put a permanent end to it all. Still, that wasn't going to stop Kenshin from trying anyway. He was determined to kick as much criminal ass as he could manage. Even if it made no huge difference in the grand scheme of things, it would at least help the police and pro heroes to not have as much crime to deal with. Every little bit helps, and it could add up to make a difference in the long run. Still, not every battle had to be a loud and open affair. Sometimes, it was wiser to silently take down foes and avoid direct confrontations. Although Kenshin fancied himself as a samurai, he had no problem with occasionally playing the role of a ninja instead. Sneaking around, staying concealed to avoid detection, taking out the enemy from the shadows, avoiding unnecessary conflict. It was just like the Chuten series of ninja games where although running around and slicing up foes was certainly an option, sticking to stealth was more often than not the better choice and was much more rewarding. Still, this wasn't a game. Kenshin could not afford to screw things up. Naturally, stopping crime went far more quickly and smoothly when working with others. Having already worked with Chiyuri before, Kenshin did not mind teaming up with her again. After receiving her message and plan (to be fair to Chiyuri, Kenshin's drawing would not have been any better were he the one to do that instead), Kenshin put on his usual hooded jacket and cap. He then made his way to Chiyuri, taking care to stay hidden and make sure he wasn't being followed. After a quick greeting in the form of a smile and hand wave, Kenshin looked around the general area while wishing he had binoculars on him. So far, there did not seem to be many thugs patrolling the immediate area. However, it was likely that there were far more around, hidden out of sight. Just going in recklessly was stupid. More observations would be needed. Silently watching the areas the thugs patrolled, and then forming a plan to decide which thugs to silently take out and when. That was the safe and wise thing to do. Of course, not everyone always did things the safe and wise way, as Chiyuri and Kenshin were soon about to find out. | Word count: 420

(assuming from what I can tell, they’re looking at thugs out on the street and watching from a nearby rooftop. If I got this wrong, just lemme know and I’ll correct the post)
Mia had been all but living in Nakano ever since the police got off their prideful asses and decided to reclaim the place the only way they could. With the help of pro heroes behind them. Mia herself of course being one such pro. Usually she wouldn’t be allowed to go so wild in a police operation, but given this whole situation was basically an all out street war ignoring the few shelters getting civilians back on their feet, Mia was allowed a few exceptions from the normal rules of the system…especially when she was on a street the cops hadn’t reclaimed yet.
Speaking of which, in all the chaos of a street war, you had the strict yakuza trying to keep their sense of law and order, but you also had the opportunistic thugs trying to get away with a bit of looting at their own discretion. It was one such incident Mia had initially walked in on, the smash of a window initially catching her attention, a glare crossing over to a group of 3 young men rushing out from a store with bags of sway tossed into the back seat of their car. The Blonde beast rolled back her shoulders, her muscles tense from a few hours of patrolling and ass kicking already as it was.
“RIGHT! We’ll be loaded up for weeks!” One shouted as he started up the engine, another looking through the games and seeming a little dim as he asked- “Er, why did we get like, 20 copies of assassins creed 62?” He received a swift wack to the back of the head. “Because we’re not keeping them, we’re sellin’ them. Safer then ending up dealing drugs for the Yakuza. Now lets-“
Just as the wheels screeched to start up, a heavy clung was heared behind the car, Mia’s red eyes piercing the back windshield as she crouched over the back of the car, hands firmly slammed into the metal and locking the car in place as she slammed down her heels and kept it from moving, actually lifting the back wheels slowly off the ground so she didn’t have to fight against the car in it’s entirety, grinning wide as the three punks rapidly realized they were not in a good situation.
“Oh shitohshitOHSHIT!!!”
The three kids were freaking out but as it became very clear that being inside the metal box may be a lot safer then being on the outside where Red Horn was, they buckled in and ducked their heads. Gritting her teeth, an entire day of fighting on and off having beefed her up to a good starting level rather than needing to wait for herself to strengthen up, she reared her body back, swung the car about on it’s front wheels, and released after a full 180 spin, sending the car flying further down the street and huffing out of her nose. The way she threw it, the kids inside would certainly be roughed up a bit, but nothing broken given the car never toppled.
“Right…let’s get those dipshits in some cuffs.”
The cowering kids still ducking their heads low, feeling like they were about to be thrown again, didn’t realize the fact their car had just been tossed through a group of Yakuza thugs, and in her Oni rage Mia hadn’t noticed either till the thugs started to turn to her as she approached the car, one even being dumb enough to make his intentions clear by drawing a sword on arguably one of the most famous pro heroes on the scene.
“Okay. Right. Of course….” With a heavy sigh through her nose, Mia rolled her shoulders back and got down low, arms at her sides in a tense, prepared position, like she was about to rush these guys and slam them into the road. “Who wants to go first…?”

As young samurai approached, waving a little bit, Chiyuri waved back, forming an 'ok' sign with her hands to let him know the coast was clear. As they both looked out over the edge of the building, waiting for some no-good criminals to appear, a small car turned it's engine on, the lights blaring in the dark street, revealing a group of yakuza in the light. “Psst, let's get the drop on them, yo!” she said, in a hushed tone. As she began to ready herself up for a stealthy takedown, suddenly there was a huge commotion coming from the car. Chiyuri couldn't see the cause, but the car was clearly being lifted by something... or someone. She caught a glimpse of a big person with the car, just as they tossed it like a goddamn frisbee – smashing into the thugs they were going to take out.
Looking back, the big person gradually gained more of a shape within the light – but Chiyuri couldn't tell if they were hero or villain. What she could tell, was that they were an absolute unit, and had a pretty weird deal with something on their head. With both of their covers basically blown to shreds without them even getting caught, the skater girl piped up with a thought, being able to speak a little louder due to the sounds of angered yakuza. “Ok bro, let's jump down and get them while they're distracted!” she said. If they couldn't draw the big fish out through stealth this time, maybe they could take credit for the action here, establishing a sense of dominance in Nakano – it was being taken back.
Putting in her headphones and adjusting her outfit, Chiyuri leapt off the top of the building, grabbing onto a drainage pipe leading down to the street to slide down with to ease her landing. Her impact with the floor was mostly obscured by the angry yakuza, giving her the opportunity to sneak behind the car, gesturing Kenshin to follow her down from the street.

Alright, with the coast being clear, it was safe to assume that Operation Silent Ninja Strike (Kenshin literally thought up that name on the spot) was ready to commence. Time to take out these thugs without any of them knowing what hit em! But then something happened from seemingly out of nowhere. To the boy's surprise, the car was being lifted by something or someone, then was thrown down the street. What the shit?! Kenshin did not know what to think. He could not see clearly who or what threw that car. With the loud commotion, the thugs would probably be on high alert, making a stealthy take down far more difficult if not outright impossible. But maybe not. Whoever the newcomer was, it seemed like the yakuza were too busy focusing on them. Perhaps it would actually be easier to take them by surprise. Chiyuri realized this and decided now would be a great opportunity to get the jump on them. Kenshin smiled and nodded. "Right!" Following Chiyuri's lead, the boy grabbed onto the drainage pipe on his way down the building to ease the landing. He then followed close behind Chiyuri, following her to the car and hiding behind it. Taking a quick second to peek from behind the car, Kenshin looked at the scene to see not only how many yakuza goons they had to deal with, but also the newcomer who had thrown the car. Kenshin's eyes widened upon seeing who it was. Oh shit, it's Red Horn!It had been a while since Kenshin had last seen Mia in person. The boy smiled. Those punks didn't stand a chance against her! It would be easy to just sit back and watch Mia go wild on these pathetic jokes. However, that was not Kenshin's style. Even if he believed without a doubt that the pro-hero was more than fine on her own, Kenshin still wanted to help out. Who knew what dirty tricks these fools would try? Might as well make Mia's already easy job even easier. Besides, Kenshin did not want to pass the chance to kick ass with her again. As soon as Kenshin saw an opening, he nodded one to Chiyuri to let her know he was making his move. Then he would quickly approach the nearest yakuza thug as quietly as he could manage, punching the guy in the back of his head. Not hard enough to cause serious damage, but just enough to ensure that he was knocked out cold. There was no need for Kenshin to use his quirk just yet. These guys were small fry! | Word count: 436

With the new attention she’d stolen from the two vigilantes laying in wait, Mia didn’t have much time to think and immediately turned onto the defensive. Her skin was tough but unless she ‘went red’ it was still ultimately flesh. Her arms raising against the swinging blade of one of the yakuza who seemed to think it was smart to wield a fucking sword, and scraping her rough skin along the blade before swinging the blade aside with the back side of her arm, pounding the thug in the face with a blunt blow and just watching as they staggered back and fell to the ground. Still, even with a small bit of fear from the one hit KO to their comrade, the others were just as eager to throw their hat in, rushing the intruder to their gathering.
“Ah fuck…!”
Still, as she continued to hold them back, backing off swings of the sword and narrowling swinging away from a gunshot so it only catch the edge of her shoulder, Mia saw in the back of the crowd two people seemingly helping her out. For a moment, in the chaos, she couldn’t recognize either, but as she ripped a gun from the hand of a goon, before elbowing his jaw and crushing his gun simultaneously, she managed to catch enough features of the kid in the back to realize what she was dealing with.
“EDGE!? The fuck you doing here!?” Normally Mia was all for Vigilante, she’d even rushed into a danger zone once to work alongside the vigilantes helping the city when no one else would, but this whole Nakano thing was swarming with high level goons and cops to boot. Any more hardened vigilante like this G guy she’d heard about or that ice guy she met the other week, she might be willing to forgive them getting involved with this shit, but Red Edge was just a kid under the mask. Her train of thought had a blade ripping through the side of her abs, but gritting her teeth damn fucking hard, she tensed her muscles around the blade, the yakuza thug unable to remove it and soon sent flying with a backhanded fist to the face.
“EDGE I CAN’T TELL YOU TO RUN RIGHT NOW BUT USE YOUR FUCKING QUIRK FOR GODS SAKE!” Mia didn’t mean to yell, but she’d been fighting for hours by now and the adrenaline was infecting her like a virus.

Well, so much for stealth – the massive person had found both Chiyuri and Kenshin out, but they were against the thugs, so perhaps it was safe to assume they were some sort of hero type or another vigilante. Chiyuri was fine with heroes, just not ones that would suck up to the government or just do the job for a little coin on the side. This one seemed like neither, but only time would tell. As for their looks, it didn't matter all that much, but from what little she could see, she knew that whoever this unannounced helper was, they were ripped as hell. They also apparently knew Kenshin, referring to him as his vigilante name, which was fair, but the vitriol they had made it seem like they didn't want them in danger, which was pretty wack from her perspective. Kid wanted to fight, so let him fight!
“What, no love for me?” Chiyuri joked, speaking normally now that her cover was blown. “Me and him were about to sneak the fuck out of these guys, yo! I guess if our cover is totally busted, we can just go ham...” she said, dashing over to a thug and cutting his hand, causing him to drop their pistol. “Besides, cutting loose is what I live for!” As Chiyuri got closer to the large person, she could now tell they were of the female persuasion, despite the crazy huge abs she had. With some long hair and a very distinct horn on their head, she could only assume that she was either a mutant or some kind of transformation quirker. But what mattered was the yakuza. The stupid assholes were still trying to fight, but with a burning car in the distance and a lot of suits on the floor knocked out, it was a wonder why they were still trying. “Takes some serious loyalty to keep goin' this long, but trust me y'all, you ain't goin' back to no-one tonight! Yo, K- uh, Red Edge, my man, come on, join the jam, yo!” she said, directing her attention to the stragglers, before addressing Kenshin. He might be young, but that dude had a lot in him to fight the good fight. She could feel it, he was a real street samurai, age be damned. She awaited for him to join the fray, while she readied her sword to take down her previous target with a well placed strike down the middle. Hopefully after the fight she could get some words out of the hulking woman, especially in how she spoke to her partner for the night.

In truth, Kenshin was not sure what kind of reaction he would get from Mia when she saw that the boy was there. But upon hearing her yell at him, he could not decide whether that was unexpected or completely understandable. He supposed that she was just looking out for him as he was still very young. And the yell might just be adrenaline or something. Still, Kenshin resisted the urge to scoff. My quirk? For these jokers?Just as Mia had addressed the boy, some more grunts found him and began to run up to him to attack. However, some quick punches and kicks ensured that these guys were taken down fast and would stay down for quite some time. It was just as Kenshin thought. Using his quirk on small fry was just a waste of energy. With G's training, he no longer needed to rely on his quirk to kick some ass. Still, the boy was neither disrespectful nor stupid. If a pro tells you to use your quirk, only a dumbass would refuse to do so. Besides, Kenshin supposed that it would probably be safer and much more efficient to take these guys out quickly. Right after taking those few grunts down, Kenshin nodded. "Yes, ma'am!" Resisting the urge to chuckle at Chiyuri's comment, Kenshin activated his quirk. "Henshin!"With the red armor now on him, Kenshin was ready to turn this fight from a very easy win to an almost effortless one-sided beatdown. Rushing to the nearest grunts, the boy used his enhanced speed to beat down as many armed goons as he could in a matter of seconds. Kenshin lost count of how many guys he knocked down. It was like asking someone how many slices of bread they had eaten in their whole life. Everything just happened in a flash. Rush up to one guy, punch or kick him down while kicking his weapon away, dash to the next guy, rinse and repeat. Then, a rather tall guy tried to smack Kenshin's face with a crowbar. Holding up his right hand, the boy transformed it into his signature red blade of hard light, blocking the swing. "Oh, I guess I'm done warming up now." With a few swings, Kenshin almost simultaneously disarmed the man, knocked away his weapon, and smacked the guy's head just hard enough to knock him out with no serious injury. Now using his sword hand, Kenshin began to make even quicker work of these thugs. Soon, almost every thug remaining was either without a weapon or just lying down on the floor groaning. "This is almost too easy." He was not really paying too much attention to either Chiyuri or Mia, as he knew that they were more than capable of handling these weaklings. However, it was not time to relax just yet. Some reinforcements had arrived, coming in to try to make up for the thugs that failed. Just how many are there? Those without weapons took the ones lying down on the floor. A few were even greedy enough to try to loot their unconscious allies and take whatever valuables they had. Kenshin sighed. How despicable! But it made no difference. No matter how many guys came, no matter how many got back up after being knocked down, the two vigilantes and one pro-hero would not stop until every single one of these troublemakers were stopped! | Word count: 569

“GRAGH!” Rampaging through the group of goons more like a steam roller or a bull than a heroine, Mia’s adrenaline was at it’s apex, having been working in this district all day long with crime around any corner, she was looking a little bigger than she did on most TV appearances, starting to verge a little more on monster than human, but still seeming very much in control despite the apparent rage behind her motions and strikes. A goon hastily tried to lift up a trashcan as a defense against her, only to find it left with a deep imprint of her fist as he was sent rocketing towards a wall on the other side of it, the Heroine’s breaths heavy as she tried to calm herself down between each combatant, but each time she took one down the next would quickly try to strike her from a blind spot, leading to an even more enraged counter attack in retaliation. “RAAAAAGH!”
The cheeky comments from the sword wielding one managed to catch her in a calmer moment, dealing with some weaker, more intimidated goons and just scaring them off after wrenching their weapons from their hands, then proceeding to chuck said weapon at them so hard they knocked out before they got away. “Sorry lass, don’t know who you are! Got skill though! Maybe I’ll be learning your name sooner rather than later! Haha!~” She was glad to see out of the corner of her eye Kenshin was going quirk too. The fact he wasn’t using his quirk wasn’t so much a fear of him being in danger, more that it acted as his disguise. She didn’t want any of these goons tracking him down for revenge. Heroes had natural protections against those things, secure homes, security for their families and the likes. Your average vigilante…not so much.
As the reinforcements showed up, Mia could feel her muscles starting to ache from the long day of work, but remained tense, telling herself she just had to get through this lot before she could call it a day on herself. “You guys been at this long…?” She’d ask as the reinforcements started to get close. “Cleaning up this shit hole I mean?” While she could be humble enough to admit needing help, she was still a prideful beast, and hoped to dig a little to see she wasn’t the only one getting a little tired, even if she knew she had a LOT of reasons to be tired at this point after a long day.
