sometimes you want to go WHERE EVERYBODY KNOWS YOUR NAME
A, young love! It was such a delicate and volatile thing, something that radiated with naïveté and folly, yet drew people in with the innocence and drama it promised. At least, that’s what’s Delta had gathered from the many novels she’d read in her own youth. Surely such feelings would arise yet again with this next, rather heartfelt performance, the second of the night. After a brief break following Takumi’s jazz performance, during which the stage would be set up for the next performance, Delta would step on board again, her presence up there being enough to draw the crowd’s attention to the next act by now. “Alright dears, let’s get ready for the second act of the night, shall we? For something a bit more... Classical~” Indeed, from what Delta knew, this next performer was quite the pianist, a lovely addition to the night, and a lovey treat for a certain knight. “Now, our next performer, has something a bit special tonight~ It seems their performance is for a certain member of the audience tonight~” Of course, Delta didn’t know exactly who that was, but she was sure she was about to find out. “So, let’s not keep them waiting! Please give a warm welcome to our next performance, here with a heavenly blessing to our ears, Tetsu no Shugotenshi!” Dear performer, this act is now in your hands!- The performer will post after this introductory post, to begin their performance - From there, they will give a window for spectators to post (i.e. 48 hours) after which the performer is expected to post again! - This repeats until the performance is done! - Dear performers, please, choose a posting window that suits your own posting habits - And most importantly... Have fun!0000 WORDS |

Post by Elise Von Eisenberg on Apr 29, 2019 5:58:43 GMT -4
| This is a song, just for you Tetsu~ | | Finally, it had arrived at long last. The event that quite a large amount of people had been looking forward to. Although the naming choice of the event left certain... mixed feelings, the overall mood, and atmosphere was excitable as various performers gathered from around the region for their chance to perform. One would likely have wondered what Elise von Eisenberg had thought when she had accepted the suggestion to apply to the event. After all, while some knew that Elise played the piano, few knew about the recent events that led to her receiving the tutalage of one of the world's most renown musicians. Even then, despite his guidance Elise had yet to accept the offer or idea of playing in front of an audience, at least until now. That was because this performance was special, it was a performance not meant for wealth or fame. It was a performance meant for a particular person. It had been the goal Elise strived for in those recent days, the source of motivation that allowed her to last through those training sessions to bring that one song to a state as close to perfection as she could, and today she would give her performance, before an audience and before that special person. Fortunately for Elise, she was the second one in line from all the performances that were scheduled for the night, meaning her worries didn't have too much time to fester. Everything was prepared, the lyrics were memorized even with her lack of singing talent, the keystrokes learned to the point of muscle memory. Now all she could do was hope it would work, hope it would reach her. When the hostess of the night announced her stage name Elise couldn't help but smile for a brief moment. Tetsu no Shogutenshi, one could literally translate it to 'The Iron Guardian Angel', or 'The Guardian Angel of Iron', but surely 'she' knew better. She was 'Tetsu's' guardian angel. Approaching the stage the first thing people would likely notice was the fact that gone was her 'in recent days' more wilder hair, a elegant and graceful crop of long red hair flowing down her shoulders, and an iron hairclip decorating some of the locks to the side of her head, a memento that no doubt would strike a memory in a certain iron-blooded knight. At the same time she was wearing a stylish long dress, accompanied by a necklace which her mother insisted would serve as a good-luck charm in this endeavor, and a pair of matching earrings. A gentle bow was made toward the audience, whether they were her to see her performance, or that of the other groups she didn't know, but she did overhear that Kaito had done his fair job at making sure people would learn that his adorable apprentice was having a mini-debut of sorts, which could explain why it felt crowded, also could explain the reason she could have sworn she saw that energetic-looking musician in the crowd before. But above all: 'She' was there, and that was the one thing that mattered the most. Considering time was limited, she had been fortunate that the hostess had been kind enough to accept her request to let her make that special performance at the end, but first, she would have thanked the audience for taking the time to listen to her music, and what better way than to give them a performance that could touch the soul? As Elise took her seat behind the piano, she had already decided long ahead of time what song to play, a song that would work well for the current times' society was facing. In a matter of moments hands started dancing along the piano keys, and her performance began. It was a gentle Sonata, a song that told people of hope, that as long as people wouldn't give up, that they would continue to work together, or even just try their best on their own, things would improve over time, and more importantly they would get closer to their dreams and ambitions, one step at a time. There was something about the way the girl played, whether it was the skill behind her performance or the intensity of the emotions she conveyed, whoever took the time to listen, would likely well and truly feel as if the young lady was trying to encourage them through her song. And then at long last it had ended. Yet it was not the end of her performance. A brief nod was made by Elise toward Delta as she approached the microphone and spoke softly. "Thank you, everyone, for taking the time to listen to my music. However, before I end this performance, I would hope that you all please stay for a little longer. I have a song I would like to share, and although I might not be a great singer, it is a song from the heart meant for a very special someone, and who knows it might be 'you'."Her eyes briefly locked with Tetsuko's as she winked playfully. "The song is called 'I Like You Even on the Worst Day'" Approaching Elise took her seat once more, taking a deep breath as she suddenly felt something oddly familiar rise up within her. Although it lasted for only a moment, Elise could feel a frightening thought coming over her: What if this is burdening Tetsuko again? The memory of that evening in Kashima resurfaced, looming over her like a specter. However, at the same time her eyes cast sideways for a moment, her gaze locking with Tetsuko's as she felt the trembling subdue. It was alright... After all she was that iron-blooded knight her selfish princess, and if she didn't let go of all the things that could cause her regrets, then her song wouldn't be complete, she wouldn't be able to perform her song. And so she would reach out to Tetsuko. I'll tell her without regrets just how much I love her! My heart is all mixed up inside, and it hurts. This is surely... This is surely...
When I'm by your side, my chest hurts I even end up sighing. aaah~~~ Hey, tell me more! About the places you enjoy And the type of girls you like! No matter what anyone says, there's no stopping it. After all, I have no choice. This is love! When I wake up in the morning, I love you~ On the worst day, I love you~ Even if I can't meet you anymore, I'll love you~ Even if I'm reborn someday, I'll love you~
Darling', make me happy lalala I want you~ Darling', make me happy lalala I love you~
Give me some special treatment, I'm not just a normal girl to you, right? Call my name! Yes! Let me hear it more, and only look at me~ Let me turn you, letting you call with a loud voice. I finally caught it, this chance. I won't hand it over to anyone. 'cause, This is the one thing I don't wanna lose~ This is love after all~
I love the teasing you~ I love the gently blunt you~ Also in a dream I love you~ If you like me very much too, I love you~
Darling', make me happy lalala I want you~ Darling', make me happy lalala I love you~
I love you~ I love you~ It's my first love~
The words I couldn't ever tell... I'll tell them to you today, so please listen carefully: I love you more then anybody else. If you like me very much too, I love you... What's your answer? YES! When I wake up in the morning, I love you~ On the worst day, I love you~ Even if I can't meet you anymore, I'll love you~ Even if I'm reborn someday, I'll love you~
Darling', make me happy lalala I want you~ Darling', make me happy lalala I love you~
Let me say it once again: I love you! As the lyrics of her song finally reached its conclusion Elise couldn't help but dart over to the part of the stage where she had seen Tetsuko earlier and took a deep breath. "Tetsu DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
SUKI!" And with a smile as bright as the sun and cheeks as red as a tomato the girl quite literally jumped off the stage and into the arms of her iron-blooded knight!
Those who want to enjoy the dork's performance, you're more than welcome to enjoy the little show she just put up~ I will be posting again in about 2~3 days responding to Tetsuko's reaction~ | +1000 WORDS
NOTES Yes Elise is being a dork~ |

Well it was time. The reason as to why Junko came to this little crowded place, sitting at a table. To hear Elise paly her music and perform her piece. The young student played her piano and then later she sang for Tetsuko. It was a sweet little song. Pleasing to the ear; and probably amazing to the person it was dedicated to. Tetsuko probably loved this more then anyone. And well, thats what pleased the blue woman the most, to see people happy and at peace and love.
Junko enjoyed the music, it was nice. She was glad to hear Elise live at a performance like this. "Well, perhaps when she finishes then I will leave. I didnt come here to patrol Darren and his little band" Junko thought to herself She wondered what Elise would go after her performance, probably go to Tetsu. Well, whatever happens, Junko will just say hi to her and congradulate her on a good performance and then leave. As she really has no business for anyone else, not to mention how she hated crowded places like this. And BESIDES, she had lot more work to be done. So Junko couldnt stay here forever

Ah so this is the power of one of the potential chosen ones. Interesting. Kaz nods in agreement as his uppreclassmate managed to choir out an entire melody for her beloved. It takes a brave heart to proudly announce to the world who you love, and do it in such a glorious tune as well. It doesn't take a master to understand that the intense dexterity one should have while performing this piece on the piano, and manage to sing as well. Singing and playing is a difficult feat to do, and Elise at the moment managed to overcome that barrier. Not bad. Not bad at all. This moment shall be recorded onto the Chronicle. Later though, for now he must practice his upcoming trial. He allowed himself to be distracted far too long by this music. Clearly it has some sort of magical power.
Kaz is also a sucker for love songs.
The Chronicler looks over at his table. His mom gave off a small smile but kept focused at her phone. Probably checking out some job stuff. His sister appears bored but still smiling. She never was a huge fan of these songs, but for once this kind of song managed to provoke some sort of emotion from his sister. That is quite an impressive feat. Not sure about Red and his sister though, but oh well.
Truly this is a grand moment for the musical world. He'll make sure to give a grand appraisal later. Although, he might have to criticize just one minor thing. This is such a nothing thing, but this thing will keep bugging Kaz to the end of time. And now that she has jumped off and hugged someone, he'll not know until this is over.
"So who is she singing about, again? Does she go to our school?" He 'politely' asks Red. Red stares at him with a half closed dead eyed glare.

Kenshin was not just a performer in tonight's music night. He was also here to listen to the others perform. Even if he were not interested in seeing the other acts, there was no way the boy would miss out on seeing Elise play. He had promised he would cheer her on, and the boy knew that he would be cheering loudly. He had faith that Elise's piano skills would be good. Now to see just how good. Once Elise started to play her sonata, Kenshin could not help but close his eyes and listen to that sweet soothing melody. It felt so relaxing, almost hypnotic. It was clear that Elise was above and beyond skilled with the piano. To call her playing great felt like a harsh insult and did not do her skill justice. Normally, Kenshin would begin to get a bit nervous about his own playing upon listening to something so wonderful. But it was as though the music was a powerful tsunami that crashed down and swept away all worry and concern, leaving only peace and serenity behind. At one point, Kenshin had to wipe a tear from his eye. It was that powerful and moving. As soon as Elise finished playing, Kenshin's enthusiastic applause was one of the louder ones. Holy shit, that was amazing! He already wanted to hear some more! Fortunately, the show was not yet over, as Elise began to sing. And hot damn, the girl could sing! Kenshin listened to the girl sing. It did not take long to realize what the message of it was, and to whom it referred to. This made the boy smile. Aww, how sweet! What made it even sweeter was at the end, when Elise called out Tetsuko and literally jumped off the stage and into Tetsuko's arms. Awww!! I ship it, the boy thought to himself. Kenshin would not bother them now, but sometime after the first round of performances were done, he was determined to find Elise and personally tell her that she performed fan- freaking-tastically. Maybe he could ask for an autograph while he was at it. That was a half-joke, half-serious thought. | Word count: 360

Post by Arthur "Reddarcc" Hunter on Apr 30, 2019 9:33:32 GMT -4
Red honestly wasnt planning on paying attention to most of the performances tonight. Out of the whole lot, the only ones he actually gave a shit about were Jacks, Kaz's and OD Hazard's, and that was only cause his buddies were involved, or cause he knew he had to drag Kaz off stage when he refused to leave despite all the booing he was almost guaranteed to get. Speaking of Kaz, the kid wasnt paying attention either, mostly just looking over what he was going to perform and reciting it again and again, mumbling to himself and triggering an almost PTSD like from Red, his eyes twitching a little in subdued anger. Honestly, he was contemplating asking his sister to use her "ID" to get him a couple drinks to get through this, but considering how many teachers were around, and that Kaz's mother, despite being on her phone, was probably keeping an eye on both of em, he thought better of it....for now atleast, he could always sneak off for a couple later if he needed too. Looked like Kaz's sister was having fun though atleast.....as was his own, considering Blake was laughing it up with Nemi while downing drinks like she was about to have her leg chopped off. Oh great, im gonna have to carry her home arent i? He complained.
It was at this point that the next act got introduced, and Red's ears perked up at the name. He didnt understand the last part, but he did recognise Tetsu's name, considering she nearly chopped Kaz's arm off cause he tried something really stupid in their 2v1. As he looked at the stage, his surprise only got bigger when he saw that it was Elise performing, not Tetsu. On the piano no less, wearing what looked like a really nice dress, necklace and earrings. He let out a slight whistle at this, cause she looked the part of a pianist, and it fit her well, since she looked very different from the pictures he'd seen on UA chat. He thought it was strange that she was using Tetsu's name, but the last part of her stage name probably had a meaning that he didnt understand, he was barely average at japanese at best.
When her first piece started, Red could, for some reason, feel the emotions behind it. His ears focused on the melody, as it drew his full attention almost instantly, he couldnt explain why. It almost felt like there was a message embedded in it, meant for everyone attending to hear. Honestly, for Red, it reminded him on how far he'd managed to come since he came to this country. When he first came to japan, he was a scared little kid who'd only just developed a quirk, who couldnt even speak the language cause of quickly the family had to uproot their lives. He'd had a rough few years after that, having to learn how to control his quirk, deal with all the fighting, taking care of his sister while their parents worked their asses off and generally being a loner. But now, despite the road being full of fuckin boulders, he'd managed to actually get to UA, make some friends, and prove he actually belonged there after working his ass off for a couple months, that it wasnt just a happy accident. His head went down at this point, looking at the floor, with a small grin on his face. His sister seemed to share the sentiment, sitting next to him and wrapping an arm around his shoulder.
Once it was over, Red applauded like there was no tomorrow, man was Elise good, her performance alone had made the night worth it. Yet he was slightly disappointed, he wanted to hear that song just a little more. He never thought anyones singing but his sisters would make him feel better about himself, but Elise had knocked it outta the fuckin park. When she walked up to the mic and announced that she had another song, he was pretty happy, and caught the meaning behind her words. As much as his actions usually proved otherwise, he wasnt an idiot, and anyone with half a brain could tell who Elise was singing too. Speaking of, holy shit she had a pair of lungs on her, she had his sister beat easily when it came to that department. Red might not look like it, but he loved a good love song, as mushy as they usually were. He prefered rock ballads himself, but he wasnt going to complain about that. He looked over the table, just to see how everyone else was feeling. Kaz's mother looked like she might actually be growing a heart, despite being on her phone, Nemi didnt seem like a fan, despite the smile, and Kaz had finally stopped reciting. Blake was swaying to the beat, she had similar taste to him after all, if she had one she'd probably have already lifted a lighter or glowstick to the sky.
When it was over, and Elise jumped into Tetsu's arms while telling her she loved her, Red could feel it in his heart, cause what he had just witnessed was cute as shit. His sister started laughing as he headed to the bar, while he whistled at the pair, mostly in jest than anything else. He looked back at Kaz, who looked like something was troubling him, for some reason. Thats when he asked who Elise was singing about. Every Reddarcc in his brain collectivly stopped whatever they were doing, whipping their head to look at this fuckin moron. They all had the same, collective thought, as their faces dropped, eyes twitching at this display of dumbassery. Red put a hand to his face, and just told Kaz "You're a fuckin idiot" in the most defeated tone possible, as he walked up to where his sister was and started eyeing up her drink. Maybe he would need to sneak off earlier for some booze earlier than he thought, Jesus christ Kaz.Word Count: 1012

Kaito's goal was always to make music to reach people their hearts and when the performance goal was changed to being as fast and easy as possible only to gain fame and wealth, he quit. Many people wondered, many people asked but he had no direct answer ready maybe he was just simply done telling the stories of emotions that he felt, emotions that he noticed and it was just done. However even when your story is finished, that does not mean you cannot pick up a second book or a new book or a new piece of paper to write and help write someone else their story. That's how he found Elise. Elise her performance on the little clips of uTube had inspired him to try and seek her out, inform her of his stance in the world of music and try to teach her. It was not an easy job but that had nothing to do with Elise herself. Trying to play based on emotions is a wonderful thing to do, but it's a difficult point to reach, trying to move people with a sound is a lot more difficult than only using words. The wonderful way Elise performed tonight, with the first song being instrumental only showed him how much she had grown over the past couple of days, he had heard a lot of songs and he was rather proud and happy to hear that but nothing in the entire world made him feel moved as the song he played for Tetsuko. He had not had the honour yet to meet the Iron Knight but he felt like he knew her very well already based on the emotions, the story and thus the thoughts and feelings that Elise poured into the song. He noticed she hesitated to play, wondering if it was because she had not wanted to play for an audience yet or because this was for Tetsuko and everything had to be right, maybe he should point out that no one would know if you hit the wrong note because they would not know the song but that was okay, for as far as he heard there was no wrong key sound anyway. It were the nerves to bring over the most important message and he would not be ashamed to say that he was wiping away tears at the end of the performance for multiple reasons, the text, the love confession, albeit Tetsuko should have known that already but it was very brave to do so in front of a whole crowd, he had brought a couple of friends over and well the sound of love in the key instrument. Only Elise could do that was his opinion for now but he did not mind to stay a bit longer and enjoy listening to the kids and adults play music, this was a good step to not only go for fame but to perform something because you loved your instrument or because you loved to sing. Maybe Elise already showed a bit to her classmates if they were here but who knows, maybe the world of emotions and stories behind songs was not lost yet.

Takumi's performance was really something. It was amazing how some people ended up underselling themselves and then coming out like this with an impressive show. But now it was time for the second act of the evening and the hostess once again stepped out to give a brief introduction. Classical was apparently the theme as evident from the piano that was set up on stage. With nothing else there, Karen presumed this would be a solo number this time. Upon finally calling on them to come out, Karen was almost certain that was another upperclassman up there on stage. She looked a little different from a picture that Karen saw of her once, but she figured the redhead might have wanted to dress up a bit for tonight. She was stunning. It was definitely what you'd expect from someone going to give a piano performance. As her eyes wandered the crowd, she noticed as well that much of the UA attendance was apt with attention the moment the upperclassman showed up on stage. They were in for another treat. The first song was a sonata. In the beginning it had a somber yet hopeful tune. But as the music progressed, it would begin to embody a sense of encouragement and fulfillment. It was the kind of hymn that cheered you one, perhaps to follow your goals and dreams. As Karen took in the notes and melody, she could feel emotions being conveyed, a testament to the pianist's skill. There was a message here somewhere. She was almost certain of it. But perhaps since she wasn't the intended recipient, she couldn't quite grasp it. This only served to intrigue her and add a sense of wonder. Once the song was over she couldn't help but silently applaud. It was a more personal performance compared to the previous one and was beautiful precisely because of that. Unlike the series of songs earlier, it seemed this was meant to be a single only. Though from the upperclassman's words after it was over, she wanted to play one more song. Or to be more accurate, she wanted to sing one. This time she was very explicit that it was meant for a special someone. Karen couldn't help but smile. There was a moment of silence before the performance resumed. Perhaps the love struck pianist wasn't as completely bold as she seemed. In her mind Karen cheered her on. This was her moment. There was nothing left to do but press on. When the song finally began, it was definitely a different mood from earlier. There was no symbolism or metaphorical nonsense. It was a straightforward outright confession of love. Despite her show of humility earlier that she wasn't a great singer, Karen could confidently say that wasn't true. Perhaps it was her being overcome with emotion that she could give it her all and really pour her heart into it that, despite its simplicity, the song really resonated. Karen loved this sort of thing, watching others really do their best for love. Even though she didn't know a thing about this upperclassman, she couldn't help but root for her and whoever her target of affection was. As the song reached its conclusion, imagine Karen's surprise when the redhead darted across the stage, confessed her love loud enough for the entire venue to hear, and then jump into the arms of presumably the love of her life. It seemed Karen didn't need to wait long at all to be able to find out. There was applause, whistles, and cheers all around. Karen herself was enthusiastically clapping. The musical performance was quite amazing, and the overall impact of what transpired would be hard to top for sure.

WORD COUNT TAG SOMEONE BY MINNIE OF GS AND IT'S DARK ON A COLD DECEMBER, Music had never been a language Tetsuko was particularly fluent in.
Perhaps she was just too dense, too narrow-minded to grasp the complexities of this great form of communication. Perhaps she didn't know her heart well enough to understand a language that, above all else, spoke to the soul, to the intangible parts of ones person at their core. Whatever the reason, music may as well have been a foreign language to the Shindou girl, something she never quite grasped, another sign of the impediments she faced on her path toward an immovable heart. For if she could not understand those unspoken words, that danced across her core, how was she to forge her heart into unyielding metal?
Well, the best way for one to learn a language was to be exposed to it. No other exposure to the speech of music could be nearly as great as what Tetsuko would experience that night.
Prior to her girlfriend's grand debut, Tetsuko had secured a position at the very front of the audience, the ideal viewing point for what would surely be a marvelous performance. The ironblooded lass was well aware Elise had great skill when it came to the piano, and at that point was just looking forward to seeing the Germanic girl impress and captivate the people of the Fourth Corner. The corners of her lips turned upwards at the thought, of Elise majestically and gently playing away at the piano, while the crowd became enraptured with the sheer talent and mindfulness that Elise possessed.
The thought made her heart swell. Elise had such a gracefulness to her, a nobility that Tetsuko had admired ever since they were both young. To see others recognize that same greatness to the girl, would be a great blessing in Tetsuko's eyes.
Though, she did not yet know what was to come, not until the exotic hostess came to the stage and began to announce Elise's arrival.
Her focus honed on the stage, Tetsuko's interest was immediately piqued by Delta's words. A special performance for someone? Tetsuko's cheeks reddened, it wasn't hard for her to realize who that was. Yes, by now, the swordswoman was acutely aware of Elise's overflowing affection. Even her stage name seemed a cheeky little flirt, though there was so much more that Tetsuko was about to see, about to experience. When faced with a new language, one didn't always grasp the deeper meanings at first.
Though, already, Tetsuko did find something stir within her. That name. 'Guardian Angel of Iron'. What foolishness it seemed, to designate a guardian for something as unyielding and hardy as metal. Surely such an essence needed no protector, no divinity, no angel. Or so some might say.
Tetsuko knew better. That even immovable earn could be degraded under constant pressure and wear. That the strongest metals could yield, that every sword had its weakest point.
That there was no such thing as a perfect stoic, so it made perfect sense for something as stubborn as iron to have its own guardian angel.
She was smiling wider than she knew. Her focus was on the performance, but already something began outside her awareness.
As Elise approached the stage, she looked as beautiful as ever, of course. There was little more to say, as that summed it up quite nicely, though Tetsuko could have said plenty. About how her burgundy red hair was also so graceful and vibrant, yet exuded this aura of passion and inner fire. How her manner of dress was so purposeful and notably feminine, much unlike Tetsuko's own, and how much this gentleness and splendor in her attire accentuated her foreign charm. Tetsuko, however, would not have mentioned that iron hairclip. The memories it carried were theirs alone.
Tetsuko's eyes were glued to Elise as she bowed and took her position, ready to wow the audience.
Ready to deliver a song Tetsuko already knew would be for her, yet against it all, the Shindou girl felt something... Indescribable... Building within.
It only escalated when Elise's delicate hands danced across the piano with grace and dexterity.
Tetsuko hadn't even noticed yet, how everything had begun to fade.
Her mouth opened slightly in awe, as Elise so casually played her elegant tunes, something warm and hopeful about the notes that put Tetsuko's heart at ease, that left it softened and ready to receive the message that Elise was preparing to deliver. It was a light, if Tetsuko had to put it simply.
Against the ever-present darkness, it was blinding, yet Tetsuko could still see her so clearly.
Before she knew it, the performance was over. Before Tetsuko was even aware of what blessings came in that tune, Elise was concluding... Yet, it was merely her introduction, and the girl had plenty more to deliver. More than Tetsuko could ever have known.
It was a song from the heart, a song in front of this entire crowd, and just for Tetsuko. The wink in her direction had the Shindou girl blushing a bit, her wonder starting to fade as the weight of this rather public display of affection became clear. Yet... Once Elise started to play.
Once her hands touched the keys again.
Once her voice sang out.
Once her heart heard the words.
That crowd, that unimportant everything else?
It was gone, once again. g When the light was so blinding, how couldn't everything else fade away?
Just Elise there, on her piano, Tetsuko's ocean blue eyes gazing into something yet more vast, gazing into the fullest expression of Elise's feelings. Tetsuko was frozen, like something otherworldly had taken hold, her mouth slightly agape in wonder, at the sight, at the sounds before her.
At the cheesy lyrics that were so much like Elise. At the unbridled affection Elise displayed. The unconditional... Love... For all her guilt at how poorly Tetsuko returned those feelings, there was something she was starting to realize.
That with every time Elise said those three words, things flared within her, like fuel on a fire.
The guilt of having yet to fully grasp her own feelings, of having yet to possess the certainty and wholeness of spirit to say them back.
The wonder at seeing how freely Elise could utter them, at how powerful and free and unburdened her own heart was.
And something else that was hard to place.
A shaking within her, like a rattling within chains, as her heart was stirred, as it sought freedom from the burdens upon it. Against Tetsuko's hesitation, her fear for the future and all it held, the chains of the past, against it all, something struggled.
An odd glow rising up, yet just as Tetsuko began to focus on that feeling, her attention was drawn away as the performance concluded...
And Tetsuko suddenly found a certain Germanic girl jumping right at her, in what was probably a pretty dangerous move!
"Elly!"
The Shindou girl reached out to catch her in her arms, the reliable knight catching her reckless princess, as the world seemed to back into view, and before Tetsuko had realized it, she was standing there, holding Elise close after the Germanic girl had just, with all her might, proclaimed her love for Tetsuko. Faced with this, the Shindou girl could only gaze with stunned visage into Elise's eyes.
Once again, the focus of her world trumped all, and yet...
Her mouth quivered as she tried to speak. "E-Elly, I..."
How long had it been? Since she'd...
"I..."
Since she'd known?
It mattered not.
All that mattered was that right now, when the rest of the world faded away, everything seemed clear. It was all becoming so... Stupid, really. So much so that Tetsuko couldn't help but scoff at herself, rest her forehead against Elise's. She held her lover close, and in the moment of it all, spoke without thought, her heart becoming like steel for just a single sentence.
As the burdens became nothing in the face of all that light.
"To think you'd have to go so far..." Tetsuko said quietly. "To make me realize how much I've fallen for you."

| This is a song, just for you Tetsu~ | | It was an amazing feeling, to be supported by so many in her endeavor. Although her actions might had suggested she had only eyes for Tetsuko, that would be discrediting the girl's attentive nature. The first she had spotted in the crowd, rather easily due to her features was Junko. Although they had met only recently, there was a rather fascinating sense of camaraderie in the sense that both agreed there was something wrong with the current system governing heroes, and that there were worrisome traits to be seen in certain parts of the community, but how they were going to try to change that, remained yet to be seen. Although, she was rather grateful for the fact Junko had taken time from her busy schedule just to come and watch her perform, not to mention it might reign in some of the more rowdy people, after all, she had seen the members of OD Hazard around earlier. Next up was Kaz, the young man had left quite an entertaining impression on Elise, his interest in the concept of Chosen Ones and the rather eccentric mannerisms he showed made him quite endearing in her eyes. Sure, sometimes it could be a bit annoying to most, but in her case most of his shenanigans made her chuckle, and overall even if they didn't directly converse yet, she was somewhat fond of him. Of course, as promised Kenshin had been around to cheer on her performance, and fortunately he liked it a lot also! She could see in his expression that her first song had reached him, an attempt to encourage everyone within the audience, and that smile on his face after she had performed her second song made it clear he knew who it was meant for. It was pretty logical that he would know that it was meant for Tetsuko considering he was their mutual friend, and she had told Kenshin before about her relationship with the iron-blooded girl. Then there was an unfamiliar face, although judging from his attitude toward Kaz, she assumed he might have been Red, the poor soul who was destined to be the voice of reason to the enigmatic chronicler. Of course, there was something pleasant to seeing the fact that her music had left some sort of effect on him, it told her that Kaito was right, that the world of music could still be restored to its former glory, that people could remember the importance of imbuing your songs with earnest emotions! Speaking about the man, the sight of the emotional display of the musician as he was brought to tears at her performance brought a smile to her lips, in a way her first song was just as much a song for the audience, as it was for him, to tell him not to give up, that his actions, his decision to teach her would surely leave an impact onto the world of music. And then there was Karen, another unfamiliar face, although just a glance at her quickly told Elise that she would have to seek out the girl at some point, perhaps out of curiosity, but the fact that she seemed to had enjoyed the spectacle made it all the more worthwhile. And then came the one that was the reason she had stood onto the stage. After she had leapt into her arms Tetsuko called out to her, the momentary stunned reaction of the girl giving way for struggle. She could notice it, Tetsuko was desperately trying to reach for the words that she longed to hear. It was difficult perhaps, some might had even considered it a bit unusual that despite the fact they had dated for more than a half year already, the lack of those words, of that affirmation had yet to be made, but Elise had felt Tetsuko's affection in different ways, through the girls actions, and actions often spoke louder than words. She knew Tetsuko wanted to say those words when she could with utmost confidence, without regrets or insecurities plaguing her, without those chains burdening her, when she had well and truly attained a indominable heart that was truly inmovable by even the greatest termors. But perhaps, perhaps to truly attain that what Tetsuko sought, that love was perhaps a key ingredient that was needed? Nonetheless, they had made a promise, and Elise gently raised a hand, placing a finger onto Tetsuko's lips. "I told you before~ I'll wait as long as you need~"And yet what followed was something she had not expected, yet always dreamed of. Tetsuko steeled her heart and gathered the courage that was needed to take that step forward, and to Elise it felt like the world around her blurred away, leaving only herself and Tetsuko in what might had been a world of vivid colors, of all the emotions they felt. "To think you'd have to go so far..." Tetsuko's soft voice made Elise's gaze soften. She would go as far as needed, and do it as often as Tetsuko wanted her to, because to her there was nothing as invigorating and exciting as to tell the world just how much she loved Tetsuko. "To make me realize how much I've fallen for you."But it were those words, those sweet words that made her heart skip a beat. It was typical Tetsuko, to surprise her in such a manner. To hear those words, to receive the affirmation she longed for, that what Tetsuko felt was indeed love was something that made her feel so incredibly happy. It took a lot of effort for her not to let tears of joy come forth, and yet neither did words. After all, Tetsuko had said all there needed to be said, and yet sometimes actions speak louder than words. And there were few actions as clear and impactful as the one she was about to do now. Her hands gently lowered to Tetsuko's waist, wrapping around them as she still was held so close to her lover, and with a light shift of the angle of her head she leaned in, her lips locking with Tetsuko's own. At this point she didn't care if anyone in the audience was there, perhaps because to her this was her answer to Tetsuko's statement, an answer she wanted the entire world to see. An action filled with a warm passion and a gentle affection. After all, just like her lyrics, there was more about her love for Tetsuko than just romantic one. She loved the sweet and caring childhood friend, the Tetsuko who would sometimes scold her when she was being unreasonable. She loved the migthy and overprotective iron knight, the Tetsuko that would always keep her safe and made her feel like a princess. She loved the Tetsuko that showed weakness and emotions only she ended up getting to see. There was no gesture that showed her affection as strongly as this, that one thing everyone called a | +1000 WORDS

Kirk had successfully pulled himself away from Darren for a moment. The party had immediately felt packed as they had entered, and overall the loudness of everyone was putting even Kirk a little bit to shame! Not that anything really stopped him from shouting "YEAH!" with Darren whenever chance was abound, bringing his own voice into the mix of things. However, there was another performance that he wanted to hear too besides OD HAZARD with his bro in it. You see, another one of his bros had a friend, who was performing... and that performance was of course super special to them both. Kirk wouldn't want to miss it for the world. He would be out there cheering for Elise with all his lungs could muster! He could only imagine what she was playing!
When he entered the room, he was propably a pretty stand out guy, with him huffing and puffing a bit, and looking around trying to catch a glimpse of Tetsuko. Bros had to look at the show together right? So, when his eyes locked onto those classic silvery locks, he couldn't help but exclaim "HEY! TET-" Only to notice that Elise had gotten onto the stage already. And knowing him, he gave an excited shout. "GIVE IT ALL YOU'VE GOT, ELISE! You are gonna do great!" The air however for the whole show felt... different to the rest of them... Most people were quiet and not giving any sort of cheers. Kirk could feel the annoyed stares, as he scratched the back of his head. "S-sorry... go on." Brief silence from him followed, as he as quietly as possible tried to get a bit closer to Tetsuko...
But then Elise introduced herself and started talking about the song being "for somebody special"... Even with his dull mind, Kirk pieced the thoughts in his head together. "Ah!" He gently slammed his fist into his opened palm. "Guess I will give some space then..." He stopped where he had gotten. Close enough to see both Tetsuko and Elise from perfect position, but far enough to not be in the way for proper eye contact! In this sort of thing, it was important to not disturb what the bro was doing! It was in the brocode!
And then the song started. The melody of it reminded of the song he had danced to with Mira a long while ago. It was very energetic sounding, and yet somehow relaxing. The words however, gave a clear image of what it was... a love song. Nothing surprising about that to be honest. Kirk wasn't usually into that sort of thing. But in this case, he felt like there was a duty to make sure that Tetsuko enjoyed it to the fullest! Although that was really hard to do, since he was no good at music at all. All he could do, was glance towards her occasionally, checking that Elise had her full attention...
However, looking at her listening to this love song... Kirk couldn't help but feel like she was somehow taller... prouder... something about her was catching his eye... That insanely wide smile... Kirk couldn't help but look at her. The songs lyrics kept rolling by, yet, her mouth was agape from amazement. She looked like she was in outright awe... the blush on her face... Just this immeasurable energy that she emanated...
Kirk could feel a blush growing on his own cheeks... butterflies fluttering in his stomach, like before a big game... He couldn't help but tremble a bit, and turn away, only to quickly glance towards her again. The music, the energy in the air, the shine everybody was taking. It all felt like an ending to a huge date. His heartbeat was getting insanely loud in his ears. He was staring towards her. And soon, the moment came when the couple usually kissed...
And as to be expected, that was the moment Elise dove into Tetsukos arms. He looked on, as they talked quietly something towards each other... and kissed... Kirk smiled, the bright blush still on his face, as he lifted a thumb up for them if they would even notice him from the excitement they were propably feeling. Even he felt clearly happy for the duo!
But why didn't he cheer like he usually did? Why didn't he feel very cheery about this whole situation? Kirk turned around, shook his head. And started walking away from the cheering crowd, proceeding to try and find Darren again. His nonexistant duty was done afterall. He slapped his cheeks, and gave a relaxed sigh, as seemingly a small tear started forming under his eye... before he pressed his thumb under it and flicked it away... "Come on, dude... Brocode. Don't make it awkward."

all the pieces lie where they fell... ♥ The second performance, Hanako quickly looked over her notes before looking up at the girl at the stage and look around the audience, a piano play. She herself had recently taken piano lessons from her aunt, not because she ever dared to think that she would be albe to perform as this girl did but because she wanted to do something that would distract her from all the bad things going on. She should not think about that at all, she should enjoy this Sonata that the girl was playing. She noticed Kenshin in the crowd and she saw Tetsuko stare at the performer and turned her attention back to the girl and finally recognized her from the previous pictures in an article from months ago, so that was Elise von Eisenberg. A little smile appeared on her lips and she held herself, wrapping her arms around her, pushing the phone accidentally against her ribs but she listened to the sonata, it hit a key within her that made her not entirely happy, but it basically only got worse when Elise thanked them for the performance and went to play another song with not only the keys of the piano but the song was accompanied by her voice and Hanako felt a shiver going down her spine. It was a wonderful heartful performance that did not surprise Hanako but her eyes, no longer closed, stared at Elise in a way that she could also see Tetsuko from where she sat and when she was done, she declared her love for the girl that Hana once interviewed and the woman turned to the bar, her eyes looking at it, it was a wonderful performance, giving her goosebumps but hitting her on an emotional level. It would be good to take a napkin, her eyes looking for the reaction of the crowd, spying Haruuhi and someone, hunched, hidden by the menu but did he think... that she would not recognize him? Maybe she should go but after Elise her performance she wanted to stay a little more, it might hurt to hear more love songs but she was not able to forget this song for a while, she wrote down quickly on her phone what she thought, shielding her teary eyes from the people in the bar. What was she doing here again? She would be able to enjoy the music, she could do that, maybe go away at the best part, she wasn't sure and could not judge if that was this one. She was just biased at this moment, that was clear.

HI? ❝ The first act was meh, now it was time for the 2nd one. Four Arms introduced the 2nd act. G already rolled his eyes behind the menu when he heard it was classical and to top it of it was dedicated to someone. Yeesh the cringe. But then again, to the guy who suffered a breakup; a love song is something he DID NOT want to hear. As the melody played, the cringe was real with G. The song was painful to listen, it was terrible. Well... to people who are happy and all romantic and such, it was fantastic, but G who felt the opposite of what he was hearing, it was terrible. No offence to the performer He felt a great relief when the song ended, but then nearly puked when he heard an encore with a song. It was starting to hurt him phsyically just hearing and glancing to see romance and love in the air. Speaking of which.. how IS Hanako doing. G moved away his cover to see... ... Hanako staring right into him and his soul. G just awkwardly waved over to her, and grabbed Haruuhi and made her sit on his lap, so he can hug her. But also bury his head just so he can cry without Hana seeing that MADE BY MINNIE OF FTS & GS

WORD COUNT TAG SOMEONE BY MINNIE OF GS AND IT'S DARK ON A COLD DECEMBER,
It wasn't something Tetsuko had planned to say, it wasn't something that had taken much thought, but those words came out so easily nonetheless. Those words that had always been so out of reach, now brought bubbling to the surface by the language of music, by its most sincere tongue. Even as Elise assured Tetsuko she need not say anything, the Shindou girl couldn't but speak nonetheless.
About how much she'd fallen for the Eisenberg girl.
There was no other way to say it, no other way to describe how Tetsuko felt. Of course, even saying she loved Elise didn't quite encompass just how integral she'd become to the swordswoman's very being. Tetsuko had fallen for her, truly, completely.
As the world blurred away, that truth was all that remained in front of Tetsuko's eyes, so what choice did she have but to speak that very same fact? After all, Tetsuko Shindou... Had always despised dishonesty. It was just that, only in this moment, did she realise how much time she'd spent lying to herself.
The surprise would strike Elise's heart while Tetsuko's stood steady, beating loudly but with firm pace, as the Shindou girl remained lost in her lover's eyes. There was nothing more she could say really, nothing more Tetsuko had on her tongue. Now that she'd said the truth, the whole and immutable truth, anything else was unnecessary. Elise seemed to feel the same way, for in the absence of words, the Eisenberg girl could only think to offer up an act that solidified their private moment in their own world where everything else had faded.
A tender and warm kiss, that Tetsuko wholeheartedly accepted.
From the girl she loved. The fretting and worrisome healer, the cunning and cheeky trickster. The emotional and caring girl, yet the charmingly selfish and strong-willed. The everything that Elise was, the everything that Tetsuko accepted.
Their kiss held for a few moments, before Tetsuko pulled back slowly as her eyes flickered back open, the world coming back into focus... Thus, an intense red forming on Tetsuko's face, as the reality of just how public they were came crashing down upon her. To say the very, very least... It was a bit awkward!
"U-Um... I, uh..." Just like that, the smoothness she'd shown prior faded away, leaving just the same flustered samurai that Tetsuko really was at her core. Daring not to glance about her, Tetsko just smiled warmly but nervously at Elise. This was Elise's night, and Tetsuko wanted it to remain about her.
"Shouldn't you take a bow, f-for the performance?"People had surely been impressed, so Tetsuko assumed it was the ideal way to finish things off... After all, even as she shared her own feelings, it was Elise's wondrous language of music that had reached the ironblooded girl. That same music, Tetsuko believed, and hoped, had reached in and sparked the hope in so many others who'd witnessed the incredible playing. If it was Elise who prompted it, Tetsuko was sure the results were wondrous.

| This is a song, just for you Tetsu~ | | There was something indescribable when it came to the joy she felt right now. The feeling of their lips connecting, a tender brush that conveyed their feelings so clearly. It reminded Elise of something, a bittersweet memory of years ago. It was when their friendship had started to blossom and that special bond between them had started taking its roots. Indeed, ever since they first met and Tetsuko saved her from those bullies, the iron-blooded girl had taken it upon herself to be the Germanic lass her knight. Was it out of a sense of duty? A desire to be needed? Who knew, but Elise wholeheartedly embraced the salvation she found in her just and kind knight, and that particular memory was one where Elise's feelings started to blossom.
It was nine years ago, while not exactly known to the Japanese people, as an European Elise as a child was quite fond of the holiday known as St. Nicholas' Eve. After all it was a day where supposedly nice-behaving children received gifts, and when Elise woke up that morning to find a gift box with her name on it next to her little brother's? She was clearly giddy like an excited child, and although she had to wait till the end of the school day to open her presents, she was told he left them a gift in the form of some kinder surprise, a chocolate egg with a toy inside it. Of course, being the good girl she was Elise waited with eager anticipation till it was lunch-time, but to her misfortune, it seemed some bullies decided to pay her a visit again, stealing the chocolate egg and running off after taunting her.
To make matters worse, while Tetsuko caught wind of it, by the time she caught the bullies, the toy had been destroyed by them in an act of childish spite. It was back then, as Tetsuko returned to her side and tried to comfort her, that the girl did something which would linger in Elise's heart even up to today. After Elise's sobbing inquiry whether she had lost her gift because she wasn't a good girl, Tetsuko reassured her that was not the case and she used her quirk to forge a small hairclip and gently placed it on Elise's hair. With the girl's sobbing calming down Elise felt her fingers reach to the hairclip, and soon smiled sweetly at her.
It was at that point Elise knew that if there was one dream, one desire she had, then it was to have Tetsuko at her side forever. A dream that in her eyes turned into reality now. As Tetsuko stepped back and grew flustered, Elise's hand gently raised to her hairclip, a finger brushing along her hairclip. "hehe~ I guess I messed up the order a little~" The lass made a bashful 'hehe~' and turned toward the audience, a graceful bow following befitting for a pianist who finished her performance, upon which she rose up again, and as typical of the Eisenberg lass pounced onto Tetsuko, arms wrapping around her and happily nuzzling onto the iron-blooded girl. "Let's go Tetsu~ I think Kenshin is gonna be playing in a bit but after that?"
She leaned up to her lover's ear and whispered softly. "I want some time with just the two of us~"
