It was only a few days till the event, till the grand debut of her song at the fourth corner's music night. It was perhaps for that reason, that during this peaceful Saturday morning that a certain young lady was not exercising in the fields around the campus, or training in one of the various facilities of the school. No, instead, somewhere within a less traversed part of the campus Elise had chosen to practice for her upcoming performance. Certainly, it was reasonable to ask why she wouldn't perform at the music club room, but in all honesty, considering there was no actual music club and the fact that Darren's band likely would have claimed the spot already, Elise saw no reason to go there. It might also have partly something to do with the fact that there was something comforting about practicing outdoors, surrounded by nature that made Elise feel at ease. And so she was in a small clearing, having carefully fine-tuned the settings of the portable synthesizer she had gotten for her birthday and having set it up to resemble a piano, and using a tree stump as her seat Elise allowed her eyes to close themselves and her imagination to take her away into the world of music. Gone was the environment, only the tranquil sounds of the gentle stream of water from the nearby river, the soothing chirps of the birds and her partner in this world, the 'piano' that had allowed her to convey her emotions so clearly. Hands gently reached for the instrument as she felt her fingertips moving, a gentle dance as she heeded Kaito's advice: Play without regrets and your songs will reach their true potential. It didn't take long for the sonata to start filling the air, a warm song that would surely convey a sense of warmth and encouragement to those who took the time to listen. However, those who would approach closer would soon hear a soft voice singing along with the song. Let our feelings become one (In this moment they join as one) This is the moment we’ve been waiting forShe could remember it, that day in Kashima when she and Tetsuko had finally, at long last properly conveyed their deepest worries and troubled emotions to one another, that day they had made a promise, a promise that would connect them to each other even more stronger than before. It wasn't a suffocating connection, rather it was a gentle thread, a red thread, but the warmth it carried brought them together much stronger than anything else could possibly hope to accomplish. Once we realize it, everything will fall into place Our hearts calling to the future with all their might We'll move forward, holding each other's shaking handsIndeed, for all her confidence, Elise was still often plagued by insecurities and doubts, only able to walk toward the future with such resolution because it was Tetsuko who was holding her hand, the one who gave Elise the courage to be strong. After missing each other along the way, we turn back at the same time. See? That feeling in our hearts really was the same all alongHow ironic that it had taken such sad events for them to realize, for them to just to start to understand the depth of emotions like love, the strength of those feelings, the power of their bond, and it made Elise all the more confident about the idea she was walking the right path. Her ambition was not to become the greatest hero of them all, no, if anything she wanted to become the greatest nurse. Elise wanted to become someone who would inspire and encourage, a beacon of hope and comfort for those who needed it. A symbol of peace. In order to take hold of something, (Dreams are so complicated...) It takes to never give up! (Right?) Let our feelings become one No matter where we may be, we believe in the same tomorrowAnd yet Elise couldn't help but wonder if the other students would ever see the same future she and Tetsuko looked toward? In fact, did the current generation of heroes even recall the concept of true heroism? Of the selfless and noble calling that a hero was meant to be? Wow wow, always following our hearts! Wow wow, always joining as one!
Sometimes growing further apart, sometimes growing closer, Things haven't gone too smoothly; There was something I was never able to tell youEven as she continued to sing, Elise could feel that even with all her worries, with all her doubts there was still hope, because a part of her clung to the belief that somewhere, there were people who still remembered. Who just like her shared that somewhat naive and idealistic view of what a true hero might be like. Putting on serious faces, we burst into laughter at the same time We really are connected after all.. I'm so happy!
When chasing a dream that's precious to you, you realize who means the most to you If your feelings always remain the same, Then even if you're heading for different places, you can still believe
I was amid days that could never be replaced I finally realized I'm not alone Those irreplaceable days (in this place) continued on (one after another) I finally realized I'm not alone ('Cause we're together)
In order to take hold of something, (Dreams are so complicated...) It takes to never give up! (Right?) Let our feelings become one No matter where we may be, we believe in the same tomorrow When chasing a dream that's precious to you, you realize who means the most to you If your feelings always remain the same, (I can tell, our feelings are the same) Then even if you're heading for different places, you can still believe (I believe)However, as the pianist her song reached its conclusion, Elise would soon find herself part of a most peculiar encounter. A teacher who was well-respected by her girlfriend had emerged on the outskirts of the clearing, a teacher who often inspired dread in the students of the C-course, and yet Elise couldn't help but smile briefly as she greeted her. "Ah~ I'm sorry Junko-sensei, I hope my music didn't disrupt you? I was hoping to practice a little for an upcoming performance, and with Darren's band having occupied the music room... I hoped a bit of a secluded spot like this would provide a suitable alternative~"

Junko was a Pro Hero but sadly, she never had much time to actually patrol the streets because there was always something up in the school. When its not paperwork, then its delinquents and detentions. There was always trouble afoot here, thats why she had to patrol the school instead. As she was patrolling the school grounds, she heard something Music. Pleasant music.
Out of curiosity Junko went to the source of the music to see who was the one responsible for that melody. And of course, the answer lied in class B. Elise von Eisenberg of class 2B. Why was she playing here when there was a music room? Well, maybe it was because of the ambiance. It sure was serene with her playing out here. Incredibly relaxing. The blue teacher couldnt help but stop her work to listen to her music. After the song ended, Elise noticed Junko there listening to her, but then again, it was hard to miss her. Elise greeted her and explained how she was practicing for a performance, but Darrens band occupied the music room, hence she had to improvise. Junko smiled a bit, well she loved how Elise answered all of her questions right off the bat before Junko could ask them.
"Greetings Elise and good day to you. Don't worry about me. You didnt disrupt me at all, I have to say I was drawn to your pleasant melody. If you are preparing for the show, I must say it sounds like you are ready" Junko said and gently clapped a bit to Elise's performance

The gentle clapping from 2C's homeroom teacher briefly brought a blush onto Elise's cheeks, a bashful smile on her lips. "I wouldn't know for sure sensei~ The song might be ready, but I'm not certain about the pianist." Elise gently withdrew her hands from the instrument as her gaze lingered onto the blue-skinned teacher. There were many stories about Junko, of course, a large assortment painted her as a drill instructor, a tyrant that ruled over a class of delinquents, and yet perhaps it was because of Tetsuko's favorable opinion that Elise had taken those stories in stride. However, from the glimpses of the mannerisms she had seen of the woman, it seemed Junko Tanaka was a strict and disciplined woman, so for her to have such positive words for her performance was a pleasant surprise. Of course, she couldn't last too long on the matter of the stories behind Junko, for she wanted to clarify her words a bit further.
"Forgive me for asking such an absurd question out of the blue Junko-sensei, but could I borrow some of your time?"
She paused for a moment, shifting her seating so she was now properly facing the teacher and continued. "It's a bit of a peculiar matter perhaps, but I been plagued by doubts lately, and perhaps one with your experience and wisdom might be able to provide some insight into the matter."
She smiled briefly as she gently swayed a hand, placing the synthesizer aside to that Junko could take a seat on the nearby tree stump if she desired so. "It's mostly about my presence at this school." She sighed briefly, closing her eyes as she decided to take a gamble of sorts, to see whether Junko was the type of person she could trust, truly trust as a professional. "This school, is said to be an educational system meant to train the next generation of what society calls 'Pro-heroes'. But what is a hero sensei, and what is a 'true hero'?"
Elise's soft expression became overcast by a shadow of gloom as she continued. "I used to believe that the concept of true heroism was to strive to be as close to the noble and selfless calling that is often seen in stories. People who protect and save not because of a desire for fame, glory or wealth, but because their body reacts whenever someone is in need of aid. One could say that this 'Call of Heroism', that following this calling is what makes people 'true' heroes."
She couldn't help but laugh bitterly afterward. "But after having spent a year at this school I feel my thoughts on the matter were childish, naive and delusional. Those who are meant to become heroes constantly bicker and fight among themselves over things that often are childish and petty. Some even openly state that they consider 'saving' people just an additional thing as if it is a chore and rather would fight villains... So many selfish desires and ambitions, We even have people with racistic tenacities openly voice them in the chat, and that's not even speaking about 'him'."
The venom in her voice made it clear just who exactly she was referring to. "But at the same time I can't blame the faculty, you're all human in the end, and not omnipotent, in fact some among you could learn from those with more experience so that students might not end up getting shot." She grumbled the last part in reference to Semper Fi before resuming.
"But I'm not much better either. There was a time I was blinded with the desire to avenge my father by killing the villain who murdered him, and it was only through the help of others that I realized the destructive nature of such a path."
Her gaze shifted, looking straight at the teacher as she continued. "So tell me sensei, how do you continue to hold hope in hero society when you see a sight like this? If not for the fact I seen a few who might represent the ideals of what a hero might be, I would have long considered U.A merely a place that trained glorified peacekeepers."

Elise was incredibly humble with her performance when Junko clapped "In my opinion, the pianist is more then ready. That song was wonderful. But of course just because you play excellent doesnt mean you dont have to practice every once in a while."Indeed Elise was an incredible pianist, but just because she is incredible doesnt mean she doesnt have to practice ever again, she has to work dilligently and keep up her skill. The student then asked a question, it seemed absurd to her, but that just made Junko curious. When she asked if she could borrow Junko's time, she said "Well, I dont see why not?"She wanted to hear out the young one. Elise paused for a bit and shifted her seating so the two cold properly face eachother,e ye to eye. Oh how polite! But onto a more serious matter she she wanted some insight into a matter and she was also plagued with doubts "Go on?" Junko said She smiled briefly as she gently swayed a hand, moving the instrument aside. Junko took a seat closer to Elise as the girl spoke. Her presence in school. She then finally asked the question. What is a True Hero. She spoke how she used to believe that heroism is to strive to be as close to the noble and selfless calling that is seen in stories. People who protect. She was obviously disappointed in what the hero society was. It was obvious by the bitter laugh or the venom in her voice. And her mini rant she asked how does she continue to hold hope in the hero society. "Heh... deja vu. But then again, you did influence Akio and he asked me the very same question" she mused a bit, before actually answering "My definition of a True Hero is someone who saves people, not for fame but for the people themself. It means you work for the goverment and for the law and it is your sworn duty to serve and protect. Todays people protect but they forget the serve part. To me, heroes are equal to the police. I do not see the military or the police beneath me just because I am a Pro Hero. Infact, I have a certain distaste for those who care about their hero rank. In my opinion these ranks should not exist as it creates 'heroes' who just want to be number 1 rather then heroes who serve and protect. Those ranks, they are a barrier that prevent true teamwork and cooperation that is required to fulfil a certain goal. Because then it all becomes a competition on who's the best. Who's the number 1 on the scoreboard? Heroes shouldnt be famous or anything. They should just work to arrest criminal scum." Junko said and she tried to keep it short and not go quite over the top as she was with Akio
Then she needed to answer the other question, one with a far less optimistic answer "Well... who's to say I have hope. I think its obvious that everyone dislikes me. Students and staff. Well, I do believe that Miss Nakahara likes me. But everyone else not so much. But then again, I dislike the others as well." Indeed Junko tried to cooperate but no one played ball. She suggested a psychologic evaluation before accepting new students into UA. Did that happen? No, because the new 1C student is apparently a racist, a reverse Maxi. Then there was the part where Junko suggested that the staff be more strict and frightening, to scare the students and prevent them from doing stupid stuff. Two teachers disagreed with her methods. "And there were plenty of times were I just wanted to quit this job. Class C and particularly class A do not bring me any hope. Class B and Support Studies though? I do see some gems that can be salvaged and polished to become true heroes." Junko said
Yes, the only reason she stayed was because she was stubborn and because she didnt want to admit defeat to those delinquents. Quitting UA means Darren and his faction wins

Elise gently nodded her head in agreement to Junko's statement, humming softly in response. "The journey of a Pianist, just like that of a hero is that of constant self-improvement." Indeed, disregarding the fact that she enjoyed playing the piano, Elise was also quite aware that there was always a higher wall to scale, a greater level to reach, or in her case an even more beautiful world of emotions for her to show her audience. It was that what inspired her, that what motivated her. As Elise explained things, Junko's initial musing that it was Elise herself who had led Akio to once ponder the same question surprised the crimson-haired lass, but a moment of consideration made her realize he likely had questioned the concept of heroism during the dark days that she was blinded by her desire for revenge.
Elise nodded her head firmly at Junko gave her definition of what true heroism was about. "Exactly sensei!" It must had come as a bit of an amusing surprise for Junko to hear a student agree so enthusastically with her mindset. "The entire system behind hero society is flawed, extremely flawed. Take those rankings for example: Just like you say it creates a sense of competitiveness in a lot of people. Don't get me wrong, a certain degree of competiveness isn't bad, after all when people desire to compete they desire to improve themselves, to better themselves but so many end up being blinded with this feeling and become crude or downright aggressive."
For a moment she couldn't help but think back about certain students at the school, some that she knew personally. "This system is fundamentally flawed because it creates a self-serving environment. 'I' want to become the number one hero, 'I' want to be the most popular, 'I' want this, 'I' want that, in the end people forget that at its core, being a hero is about being there for the people, not for yourself. And this system makes people forget that way too easily."
Indeed, Elise had been forced to acknowledge just how fundamentally flawed the hero system truly was, yet what followed surprised her lightly, making Elise drop her shoulders lightly. "So you lost hope also..." Still, the words that followed seemingly caused Elise to react more actively again, shaking her head in denial to those words. "I wouldn't say that it is 'everyone' Junko-sensei. While till now I never really had the opportunity to talk to you like this, Tetsu always talked quite positively about you. She said that while you might be strict, you are also very just and focused on your work, hard-working and earnest and those traits she admires immensely in you." She smiled briefly, sure that the revelation would come as a surprise. "In fact, I know one of your students once ended up getting in a bit of troubles with a fellow student because he defended your name, but that's neither here or now." She brushed the matter aside, not wanting to end up snitching about Eli and Akio's fight.
However, Junko commented about how she had often thought about just wanting to quit her job as a teacher, that most of the students didn't inspire any hope in her, and yet it were the words that followed that made Elise think. "It is true, while most of the students have forgotten what it means to be a 'true' hero, there are some who still hold an echo of that spirit."
Indeed, she could think of a few people in the classes that Junko mentioned. Haruto whose kind pacifistic nature might had made most people think of him as being weak, perhaps even cowardly, but to her it showed that Haruto prioritized others over himself. She was sure that if forced to, he would still fight when needed, to protect rather than to hurt, and his desire to heal and save people reminded her... of who she wanted to be.
And then there was Chise, she might had once been a meek girl who recently gained much more resolve and confidence, but her desire to support and bring out the best in people, did not change.
Ericka, whose kind and motherly nature created a sense of camaraderie and companionship among the first students that joined the B-course at the beginning.
Tetsuko... well, let's say that Elise could write book chapters there, and that she was likely also quite biased on the matter.
Perhaps it was the thought about those students that made Elise understand it now. "And yet you didn't quit..." and as the realization came she couldn't help but laugh, a burst of heartfelt laughter escaped her lips, to the point that for a moment tears gathered her eyes. "You didn't quit because you were too stubborn to let those people win!" It took a moment for her to gather her breathing, wiping her tears from her eyes as she smiled. "I'm sorry Junko-sensei, I didn't mean to be rude, it's just amusing that it's because of you that I realized something."
She hopped onto her feet, her hands gently clasped behind her back as she hummed softly. "It's like you said Junko-sensei~ The way this is going, once everyone graduated the concept of 'true heroism' will have died. The few gems that linger in this generation will be overwhelmed by the majority of those seeking fame, glory or self-satisfaction with their own ambitions, and in the end society will come to consider 'hero' as merely a title for a glorified peacekeeper, nothing more like a sherrif from the times of cowboys and outlaws."
She paused for a moment, a few steps away from Junko as she gazed up at the sky and smiled. "But does it have to become this way? What if we find a means to polish those gems and make them shine? What if their sparkle radiates through the darkness of the others their selfish desires? We can turn the system's flaws to our benefit! Ensure the highest ranked heroes are those who uphold the spirit of true heroism. Then surely society will realize that true heroism isn't dead yet"
She paused for a moment, turning around to face Junko. "I'm not a true hero, in fact I'm not a hero at all. I'm just a girl with some modest degree of power, and the desire to change things for the better, a nurse who wants to play hero~ But if I can support others to become true heroes, then it certainly sounds worth a try."
Indeed, the earlier gloom on her face was gone, as instead she smiled brightly at her teacher, extending a hand toward her to help her upright if she desired so "What do you think Junko-sensei? Want to help save hero society?"
One of the greatest dorks among U.A's students, and one of the most stubborn teachers? This could potentially become a very dangerous alliance.

"Exactly! I couldnt have worded that better myself." Junko said as Elise wonderfully put it. 'The journey of a pianist is just like that of a hero. It is that of constant self-improvement'
Elise then questioned Junko what is the meaning of a true hero. Junko gave the girl her own definition. And it was something the two agreed on. Which was rare. The two agreed how the system was flawed. And those rankings ruin everything. "Agreed, friendly competiveness isn't bad. But others take it to an extreme level at which point nothing matters to them but the rank. They turn our job into a game, a thrill" Junko said and shook her head.
She listened to Elise more, indeed the system creates people who have the mentality of: 'I' want to become the number one hero, 'I' want to be the most popular, 'I' want this, 'I' want that'. Junko nodded in agreement "Exactly. Which is why I disliked Darkshine. She was the number 1 hero and everyone wanted to BE her. The woman was all bark no bite. One battle with that heinous Villain Thundershock and she is down for the count. Retired. Red Horn though, she might be just like the rest, a glory hog, but she at least has the skill to make up for it. Granted, Im not much of a fan of her as well." Junko said
Red Horn was another hero who was well liked, but only cared for fame. Junko could give her the benefit of the doubt as she didnt know Red Horn very well as a person, but Junko was sure she was just another money grubbing hero
Then adressing the subject of hope. That was a bit... nonexistent to Junko. She knew it was not an answer Elise wanted to hear, but it was a truthful one. Elise though was kind and cheered up Junko, Tetsuko talked positively about her and even admires her?. Ah, Junko remembered their friendly spar. It was a pleasant time. And then there was someone else, from her class. But Junko could guess who Elise meant.
Junko the listened to Elise's next words, she nodded as she listened to her. She nodded "Yes, I didnt quit", soon Elise brused out laughing, to tears even, which confused the blue teacher, but she spoke again. Ah yeah, stubborness. Junko chuckled "Heh, I guess it is laughable at how childish it is"
Elise then soon realised something. But what could that be? She hopped on her feet and her hands clasped behind her back as she hummed. She spoke her presumed realization. Junko nodded in agreement at what Elise said. But the young one paused again and took a few steps away from Junko and almost in a theatric like fashion, rhetorically asked if it has to be this way. She spoke once again and it seemed her gloom was gone and she had a bright smile as she extended a hand. Junko took it and stood up as well "Of course" Junko answered Elise's last question. Yes, if possible she'd save it. And perhaps with Elise and Tetsuko's help, she could.

Elise couldn't help but nod in agreement, seemingly satisfied that she had found someone who shared an opinion similar to her own when it came to the matter of her society. A short pause followed as Junko voiced her agreement that friendly competitiveness wasn't bad but that taking it to the extreme became damaging. Elise surprisingly shook her head in denial to Junko's statement. "Not exactly sensei, Red Horn, from my personal interactions with her does have her heart in the right place. Certainly, she doesn't dislike the fame and glory that comes with the status, but her heart is in the right place, and she knows the importance of protecting people and nurturing the next generation. She might not be the ideal image of a hero, but we got worse at this school."
No kidding, although after Junko took her hand and stood up, voicing her decision to try to help Elise save hero society, the young lass pondered for a moment. "Although one might say that changing hero society as a whole might be out of our reach, I would say that our chances are perhaps the greatest exactly because of our current state."
Surely words that would confuse Junko, but Elise would explain herself further soon afterwards. "The system as a whole is still young, a small handful of pro-heroes made their debut, but surely the majority of Japan's hero society, will be coming from the students that are currently being educated here, which means we are 'incredibly' close to the root of the problem."
Elise spun around and grinned sheepishly, arms folding behind her back as she continued, seemingly in her trickster element. "And yet, a war is not won with merely a few elite generals. You need the troops to support them! Is what Tetsu would say from a quote of one of her samurai movies~"
Elise nodded her head a few times, pacing back and forth in front of the teacher. "Simply said, we need to rally more students to our views, but also encourage those hidden gems you seen among the students. But for this to happen we need to fight a battle on two fronts. I... got some ideas already on how I can approach it from the side of a student, but yours will be more tricky."
She stopped and looked at Junko and the playfulness of her voice disappeared, seemingly behaving more like one adult talking to another. "After spending a year trying to educate the C-course, do you believe you had any success Junko-sensei? With all due respect, while a few students respect 'certain' aspects of you, it is undeniable that you have neither the respect, trust or admiration of the student body."
Harsh words for sure, but she did have a solid idea of how to continue. "You mentioned how childish it is, and how stubborn you are: But did you truly only decide to stay to not admit defeat? Do you not desire, to prove them wrong? To show the Chaos Class that you're better than they think? Imagine what a feat it would be if at least one, no some of your students became those you can be proud of!"
Encouragement, followed by a solution. "Although you're not the only one struggling in that department. Nimue-sensei is rather new, so most don't really know her yet. Arata-sensei is well, let's say you don't want to follow that road for this... Geist-sensei, while popular among certain students doesn't fit it either, and if you were thinking about Jaeger-sensei you might as well ask his chicken for advice..."
She paused for a moment, her gaze locking into Junko's own. "You know who I am thinking about right? A teacher who gains respect, even from some of the more notorious students, a teacher who inspires and motivates her students. If there is any teacher, who can help you gain that what we need, it is Hachi-sensei."
She nodded her head a few times, a soft musing following. "If you really want to save hero society, then that is the first step, getting Hachi-sensei's help in figuring out what your teachings lack. Simply said: if you were to apply your current teachings, it's a matter of time before that method will backfire and one of the more clever students could get you in troubles, serious troubles. After all, we're all bound by certain rules, and it's a matter of time before they will test you to a point that if you wish to carry out your teachings, you might break those rules, and then? Then they have won."
She walked next to the teacher, her lips curving up slightly as she looked at the piano and mused softly. "Sometimes being a pianist, feels a lot easier than being someone who wishes to be a hero."
She turned toward Junko, her gaze softening as she spoke. "I know that this is asking a lot of you, both as 'Junko-sensei' and 'Tanaka Junko-san', but remember the words we agreed upon: Being a true hero is about protecting the people, and serving them, this is our chance to show our belief in that: by giving them the hero society they truly deserve and need, not one driven by greed and selfish ambitions, but one based on the virtues of true heroism."
She stepped closer toward the teacher, a gentle spread of her arms following as she attempted to give the teacher a hug, a gesture likely foreign to her ever since she became part of the faculty at this school. "It is a heavy burden that I ask of you, but I truly believe that with someone like you by my side, I will be able to start changing this system for the better."
A momentary pause followed as she couldn't help but think for just a moment
This is the right decision, the path I want to walk...
Looking up at the blue-skinned woman she asked once more with a smile. "Are you willing to try this Junko-sensei? The path we have to walk to bring this change will be long and difficult, we might not even gain the acknowledgment of having brought forth this change, but that's a part of true heroism isn't it? That selflessness? So... let's become true heroes?"

It seemed there was more to Red Horn as Elise defended her, she did have some interactions with the hero. Well, she must be right as she actually interacted with her.
"I see" Junko said as she got up with Elise's help.
Elise though pondered a bit. Indeed the system was young and there are only a handful of Pro Heroes out there. The majority could come from this very school. The two were indeed close to the root of the problem. The young one spun and grinned as she folded her arms behind her back as she continued as she quoted Tetsuko for a moment. She nodded to herself and started pacing back and forth infront of Junko as she talked. Junko only listened as she didnt want to interrupt the girl. She would nod in agreement at several points Although soon Elise stoped being playful and looked at Junko, behaving more formal. It is painfully true that she doesnt have the respect, trust or admiration ofher class. She soon listed a few staff members such as Nimue, Arata, Jaeger and Geist. But apparently the one with the perfect solution was Hachi. Someone Junko sort of disagreed with through the teacher chat. According to Elise, Hachi is the one who can help and figure out where she lacks.
After quite a few things were said, Junko agreed to this "Very well, I will speak to Hachi-sensei and we'll all do our best to work this out. We dont need the credit or anything, just as long as things are changed for the better" Speaking to Hachi, this is something Junko would only do for Elise

Elise nodded her head firmly, and although her expression might had remained calm and reassuring, she was secretly really glad that her efforts paid of the way they did. It had been a gamble to say the least: While Junko had quite a negative reputation as a teacher, and many would have thought she would had exploded at Elise's words, there was a reason the girl had gambled like this. In fact there were two reasons. Through her brief interactions with Junko, Elise had noticed that the teacher was indeed stubborn, childishly stubborn even and her feelings toward her class could had been put to Elise's advantage.
At the same time, Tetsuko's words about the blue-skinned teacher, the positive ones she heard made Elise believe there might had been a side to Junko that nobody, perhaps even the teacher herself knew. In hindsight some might had believed that Elise's approach could had been called manipulation, but in her opinion she had merely helped set Junko on the right path, the very first of her actions which would hopefully improve hero society.
"Mhmm~ While I know your ideals and opinions differ drastically, I am confident that Hachi-sensei has the answers you need. Of course~ It's only fair that I tell you what I plan to do myself, considering we are 'collaborators' in this plan~"
She smiled briefly, a hand reaching to her chest as she tapped it lightly, to denote she was talking about herself. "I'm going to try to interact more strongly with those 'hidden gems' among the student body, those who showcase traits of true heroism. We can't be too open with our intentions, there are those among the students, and possibly even certain teachers who will call our views naive and unreasonable. Arata-sensei once said this society was normal because we aren't 'super heroes', and I firmly disagree with that notion. However, the point remains that for now, we can't be too direct. I might be able to find some people to confine our ideals to, people who are already close enough to shining as a beacon of hope for the future, but overall we have to ensure that the change we bring, doesn't get noticed too early."
She chuckled weakly before she continued. "Weird, I know~ But for this to work the students need to think that rather than: Trying to change them, you had a change of heart, you want them to think that you're teaching them because you believe in them, rather than because you want to teach them to become true heroes. It's a slow progress, but if it goes well? By the end of my third year at U.A, I genuinely hope to see the majority of the darkness to have turned into embers of hope, and together with your help that hope can become a reality Junko-sensei."
She smiled for a moment, her hand trailing back to her side as she mused softly. "But first things first, if there is one thing I learned when I practiced sniping, it is covering your tracks to be essential~ If anyone ever wonders why we likely will interact so often in the future~" She paused, her gaze lingering on the piano as an idea rose up within her. "Well... if one of our students can be an idol." She chuckled for a moment as she continued. "You learned about my musical side, and decided to oversee it to make sure it doesn't interfere with my studies~ It's a logical and very plausible reason as far as everyone else is concerned."
But there was still the matter of Hachi, could she... Perhaps she should also approach Hachi herself just to be safe? "If Hachi asks about 'why' you approach her, simply tell her that after meeting a certain student, you came to believe there is still hope in this generation, and that you realize your methods are flawed and wish to find a way to help nurture this next generation. If she goes deeper into the inquiring, you can even mention me by name, but please make sure not to reveal our intentions to change hero society from within. Not yet... There are some things I need to find out first, affirm from Hachi-sensei before we can do that."
After all, Hachi cared about her students, loved them even, perhaps a bit too much according to some.
"Exactly: We don't need credit, the fact things would improve for the better is all the reward we need."
She nodded her head in agreement as she approached the spot she had put her piano and mused softly.
"I'll make sure to stay in touch Junko-sensei, it's fortunately quite easy to contact a teacher in private through the chat system of the school~"
Sitting back down Elise shifted the piano closer to her again and hummed happily. "I think I might play for a bit longer before resuming my day~ How about you sensei, wish to stay and listen for a bit longer?"
Indeed, one could say that today, a very elaborate and daring plan was put into motion, one with the intention to try to save the future of hero society!
[Potential Exit unless Junko has anything extra to add.]
