APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY
Appearance:
A lean teenager with brown hair, he tends to keep his hair down and not style it. He presents the image of a wealthy man, with a nice coat and an ascot. This appearance is betrayed by the reoccurring sleep mask with eyes drawn on he wears whenever he feels sleepy. He is seen with a small fancy satchel containing string, needles, bag of erasers, and two books. He wears this instead of his usual school uniform, having his mom or sister teach him how to sew the school patch onto his satchel when he was young.
His casual outfit is that he leaves the ascot on but puts on a more casual coat on. He refuses to take off the ascot except when he's near the water, which has caused trouble for him whenever he does PE.
His desired hero outfit is a black vest, an ascot slash scarf hybird and a royal looking long coat (he wants black with gold highlights, White or Gray are acceptable as well, but as long as it looks fancy and cool he doesn't mind the color) with a fancy phantom thieve mask version of his sleep mask, with a fancy hat. He has a special pocket for his book.
Once in a blue moon he'll wear normal clothes like normal shirts and hoodies.

Personality:
Kaz is a prideful and conceited young man who places himself above all other people he deems "unworthy." The criteria that he judges on changes erratically, however, so someone that he deems unworthy of can quickly become his friend or even his "chosen one" a month later. He tends to doze off in order to ignore them, or whenever he feels tired.
Whenever he sees someone do an extradorinaiy action, or if the person fits any of his criteria, Kaz becomes obsessed with them and treats himself as their follower or scribe. He writes down any event that occurs to them and tries his best to aid them in whatever they need. Most of the time the "chosen one" don't like this because Kaz becomes more dramatic and tends to loudly announce to the world the glory that is his "chosen one."
He's not all useless, however. He's skilled with his quirk and in combat, but the main reason why people put up with him is he can come up with good plans and can adjust them on the fly. He prides himself on his intelligence, however, so that means any time someone proves him wrong he just gets frustrated and covers his face with his book, with muffled screams heard.
He loves to chronicle everything. He has two books, an average diary that he uses as a diary but treats it as a scroll of the earth's knowledge, and a metal covered book for his chosen ones. The metal book is useless for recording things since he has started running out of pages for it, so when people aren't looking he just snaps a picture of the end result with his phone/quickly jolts it down on note paper, and grabs a big eraser to erase it all.
HE LOVES PRAISING AND GIVING DRAMATIC NARRATIONS. He will not let anyone forget this.
Of course that's the 'Chronicler' character. Kazu is a nervous guy who just wants to entertain people. He has an odd way of doing it, though.

HISTORY
"REJOICE! You have been blessed to hear the story of the new Chronicler of the current era! His name is Kazu Fureu, and he shall write down the tales of the Chosen Ones!"
"Born to a Chinese-Japanese family of 4, he and his sister were abandoned by their father, losing him to illness. In order to support her children, his spouse Shizu Omai-Fureu worked in a small foreign gimmick restaurant: O'brien's Bar. It was an odd location where several odd looking fellows met and talked with. As she had no one to take care of her younglings, she took the two along with her, not knowing that this humble beginning shall birth the world's chronicler.*"
"Around the age of 4 Kaz obtained his quirk, manipulating liquid metal pouring out of his hands. He first noticed this when playing with his first idol, a small toy car. Metal looking slime poured out of his palms, shifted in odd, mysterious forms, and a large blob formed on his hand. In an instant he realized what he was capable of!** New possibilities have opened up for the young ordinary boy, not knowing his path was set in stone the minute he met...him."
"His name was lost in time, but his skills and personality will never be forgotten. He claimed to be a hero, showing off his water quirk to the bar customers. He was wise, he spoke with a silver tongue, and he taught Kaz the importance of one's power. He beamed confidence across the room, and as if it was fate, the young Kaz realized that he was what he read in a book. He was the 'chosen one.' And so, he has followed and copied his every action, and often talked great of him to spread his reputation.*** Sadly, this will not last, as the man mysteriously disappeared one day. The young boy was devastated. How can his chosen one leave him like this? It was unheard of!"
"Luckily, the next day someone new came in the bar. She was wise, she spoke with a silver tongue, and she taught Kaz the importance of one's power. Kaz was in awe. The next week she left however, leaving the young boy in despair. Abandoned by two chosen ones?! How could this be! Luckily, a new person came in the next week."
"Fast forward one year later. After a while, the young ordinary man realized something. All these people, all these special chosen ones?! How will anyone know their name if they keep disappearing!? These chosen ones are outnumbered by all the other nobodies of the world, and if there's nothing left of them, how can anyone know their brilliance. And so, the true purpose of the young man was revealed to him! He MUST record them! He MUST immortalize their legacies! With a mysterious book granted to him from unknown sources****, he went off and recorded their presences, keeping them in his heart and in the world's mind."
"Alas the grade school he went to did not understand him. At the ripe age of 9, they mocked me-him for being in such poor parlor, mockingly providing aid and such. Determined to drive these fools away, he searched for something to make his presence known, to make them realize who the chronicler of the world is. At a bazaar of fortunes*****, he found it! A white ascot wrapped around a plastic head! Such brilliant fabric, such silky texture! He must have it! As if it was written, his chronicler's costum-regalia was born."
"However, he realized another problem. If he were to aid his chosen one...how would he do so? He can only do so much with his power to change into small spheres of devastation. That's when he found it. The new birthplace of the Chronicler's impeccable skill with the blade. A kendo dojo. Enrolling under the disguise of "fun," he honed his skills nonstop. As it had turned out, he had a sort of gift with the blade, able to fight off the sensei's top student to a standstill******. His affinity with blades grew, and at night he practiced nonstop, in order to properly hone his skills as his chosen one's follower and protector! It grew to the point where he can form blades almost out of thin air!*******"
"Now in this current age of heroism, the chosen ones appear to be swarming under a specific area: Japan. Under the grace of the world, The chronicler adopted his new name: Metal O'brien...no wait...Metal Chronicler! And with it, shall write down the page of a new history!********"

These are edits that his sister, Hanemi would like you to know about him:
*It was literally a pub with some weird foreign aesthetic, our mother needed the money and it was next to a daycare actually.
** He freaked out and we had to calm him down by saying he had a quirk. I didn't get one sadly, but I suppose it was for the best since I didn't get a big ego like he did.
***He saw a live action show with special effects. He's very impressionable
**** I got him his diary. Mom said it was encouraging him, but screw that.
*****Bazaar, seriously? It was a costume store, dumbass!
****** Okay fine, he is really good with a kendo sword. He still had to practice nonstop however
******* He kept changing his liquid quirk into swords nonstop for like a week.
******** I am so sorry for my chuuni brother.
