APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY
Appearance:
Rufina's overall physique is lean and slim, carrying an almost cat like grace in her step. Amber eyes are always wide with cheer over a slightly freckled face and a tiny birth mark at the edge of her mouth curves upward to always give her a perpetual grin.
Her skin is tan from her constant time outdoors and her bouncy orange hair dangles freely past her waist. At times, she tends to wear it in a pony tail but it usually just hangs wildly. On most days, she tends to go for a more casual look with a pair of denim jeans and low cut shirts that show off her hour glass figure.
Absolutely hating high heels or anything that constricts movement, Rufina likes sandals or simple laced shoes when out and about. Though she always loves to wear long overcoats to hide any knives or stabbing weapons...or for room to keep nick nacks that she steals.
There is a large cerulean pinwheel tattoo on her left shoulder that encompasses the entirety of her upper arm, which symbolizes the tight nit group that she calls a family among the mob. Her most striking feature, however, is her lack of a ring finer on either hand. There are two stumps where they were lopped off at the joint and have long since scabbed over.
When she is in the process of committing acts of theft or general crime, Rufina dons her catburglar outfit that is made of a special polymer material that stretches and bends to keep up with her own quirk movements. Her mask also functions as a type of defensive feature for her weak skull. In her glove she keeps a hidden spring loaded blade that ejects through a hole in her right glove in the purpose of defending herself.

Personality:
Rufina takes what she wants when she wants. She appreciates the finer things in life like a simple meal but also cherishes everything she owns. Nothing is a waste in her mind when it comes to possessions. The girl is easy to mind and even easier to laugh, taking jokes to heart and generally being loud and obnoxious despite any atmosphere.
She is not picky at all in terms of clothing or food, opting to take anything she can get her hands on or fit in her pockets. Literally if it isn't nailed down, there's a good chance that Rufina will try to take it. Even going as far as lying or crying to get her way out of a situation if need be, since she honestly could care less how others view her.
The girl loves to get close to others, both physically and mentally. She finds people fascinating and would like to learn everything she can about those of whom she speaks with. Though she can get quite handsy fast, that's as far as she'll go unless she sees value or worth in whoever she starts touching. This makes her come off as a bit of a tease and a flirt, which suits most of her thievish purposes just fine.
Her greatest passion is art, admiring the intricacies of the brush strokes. She loves to contemplate the thought process behind the artist and deeply wishes that she knew how to paint. Though owning the piece is just as good.
Also as a trained killer, Rufina finds little pleasure in killing. It is a last resort for her and would much rather maim or incapacitate, though she will not hesitate to murder someone if they so choose to get in her way.

HISTORY
Rufina Heartily was born February 18, 2048 in Venice, Italy. Her Father was the head of the Italian Mob, lurking in the shadows and never revealing himself even when his daughter was born. Her Mother was a sickly woman who had not survived the labor, leaving the girl to be raised by the colorful men and women of the Mob. Most of her life was spent on the streets, learning to pick pockets and pull off cheap cons as part of a small gang led by a young man named Alessandro.
When Rufina matured as a teenager, Alessandro had received an assignment directly from their boss himself. It was a task to shakedown a famous thief known simply as Lorenzo for a debt he had left unpaid. Though he was an old friend of her Father's, his debt was quite substantial and Rufina was not allowed to return to her family until the task was complete. While out scouting for information on the thief, Rufina had casually stopped off near a cafe where she saw an old beggar with a small tin of change. As she attempted to rob him, the man had surprised the girl and swiftly knocked her completely unconscious. As she awoke in a small but lavish room, she looked upon the man who had revealed himself to be Lorenzo. He was disappointed in her lack of care in robbing him, annoyed that the daughter of the Mob boss himself was so ill equipped and careless.
He promised his fortune to her cause if she were successful in robbing him of a simple metal locket around his neck, which he claimed to be his most prized possession. It was a stupid deal in her opinion, but Rufina agreed. After the contract was made, Lorenzo sealed the deal by seizing her hand and lopping off her ring finger for her failure. He promised that each failure she suffered would result in losing another finger.
For most of her teenage years and leading into early adulthood, Rufina learned the art of expert thievery from Lorenzo. He would take her along to showcase exhibits, museums, jewelry stores...anywhere with valued merchandise. Not only did he express upon her the knowledge and dexterity of the thief, but also how to appreciate the finer things in life. The sip of a rare wine or the emotion behind each brush stroke on a painting.
In the process of her tutelage, Rufina had lost her other ring finger before she had eventually robbed the man of his locket. As she learned from Lorenzo, she also trained with Alessandro in the ways of the blade. The girl absorbed every last bit of knowledge from the two men and exploited their talents for her own gain. In the dead of night, she slipped into Lorenzo's room and dug her blade into his throat. Upon looking at the locket, inside was the picture of a man and woman she didn't recognize, but she kept it regardless as a reminder to never let her guard down.
Offering up the thief's money to her group, she received a personal letter from her Father, congratulating her on a job well done. Years of her life had led to this one letter and she wouldn't lie when she thought of how proud he was of her. Someday she would learn the identity of her Father, continuing to make her family that much greater. With blade in hand and a wicked grin on her face, her latest assignment would send her to Japan where she would rendezvous with Alessandro after the man had ceased all contact. She would learn the fate of her old friend and then get the hell out...she hated leaving her precious Italy so.
