Hidden Dangers All Around Down in the Underground After what seemed like an insurmountable situation, the students of Yuuei did what heroes did They took control of the circumstances given to them and looked to figure out what was going on and how to fix things. With the dormitory building underground, the students needed to figure out how to get back up to the surface for help. Basic means of communication with the outside world were unusable, so the classic method of walking and speaking face to face was all that was left to them. Fortunately, the collapsed pit they were stuck in had a few positives that worked in their favor. They could breathe just fine. Whatever caused the collapse also seems to leave the students with plenty of air to breathe. There was also the fact that the enclosed space seemed to not feels stuffy or stifling. It was pretty livable down here despite what one would expect for being trapped underground. And with the different tunnels that connected to the pit the building sat in, it was clear that they had a path forward to whatever called this to happen. The students of class 1-A, the only ones in the building at the time, had split up to solve this mystery and get some help. No one really knew why they had been gathered together at the dormitory building. Each student figured it was another one that called them all there, which compounded the mystery and made it clear that someone might be pulling strings from behind the scenes. So after the students split up and took on different tunnels, each group descended into their own path. One group were the duo Ryuusei and Yoruhi. They were one of the founding students of class 1-A, having been in the class since Yuuei opened for its first year. The tunnel they choice was dark but stable. The ground and walls were unnaturally smooth and easy to walk through. It wasn't what one would expect of a cave at all. In fact, as the two progressed through the tunnel, the hole through the ground started to take an odd space. Instead of a round tunnel through the ground, the walls and floor had straight edges. The tunnel went from being based on a circle into that of a square. It was completely wrong, but it made walking very each for the pair. The only problem they had to deal with was the darkness. Since it was underground there was no source of light. And unlike the other tunnels, there were no odd crystals emitting any light to help them see. It was as if the other tunnels were more complete than this one was. Either way, the pair had some distance to walk before they encountered anyone or anything else. An odd silence hung in the air. But as they walked the darkened path a light could be seen in the distance. A warm glow started to paint the walls and it was possible that something to help them see was up ahead.

You don't need a dream or even a tomorrow Just live
They ended up forming small groups and exploring the tunnels, just like Ryuusei had suggested to all of the Yuuei students present at the gathering. And, before the other ones decided which tunnel they wanted to claim for themselves or if they'd follow the pairings pointed out by the 1-A Vice-President, Ryuusei Igarashi and Yoruhi Honookaen - the two inseparable best friends - ventured into the tunnel Ryuu had chosen: the one from which no light could be seen inside. However, Ryuusei was visible tilted - even if only slightly - while both of the teenagers were walking deeper and deeper into uncharted territory. In the darkness, it would be Yoruhi's Quirk that - if activated - would be giving them a small guiding light that would allow to, at least, see what they were stepping on. With his hands inside the pockets of his long black jacket with light brown fur at some parts, Ryuu started to let out his frustrations. Ahhhhh I don't understand them - he said, sighing while looking at the dark ceiling of the cave - Of course that I know this might be some sort of trap, but what options do we really have? If we stayed where we were we would just be wasting time...He paused, sighing once again but, this time, looking at the floor. Then he continued. This was clearly not an accident, it was caused by someone or a group and, by us not having been immediately crushed or by there being air here, it most likely means that the one who caused it is also down here. If the intention was just hurting us they would have already done so... Which makes the scenario of everything crashing down unlikely, at least when we find them and are in the same area as them, which is exactly why we need to move... And waiting for the teachers to come also doesn't make a lot of sense: by what we know all the buildings could be underground like this one...Those were the reasons why Ryuusei was confident in exploring the tunnels and why, more than confident, he knew that it was something that they really had to do... and to do as quick as possible. The noise of his dark shoes stepping on the floor echoed through the tunnel. Doesn't that make sense? Or am I totally wrong? - he asked while looking at Yoru - See? This is why I like to stay at home, all this thinking and communication is just too complicated to process... As they kept going forward, the tunnel began to gain more and more of a weird shape: square instead of round, straight instead of rough. Ryuusei looked at Yoru in confusion, but this confirmed that the recent events were almost surely caused by someone and his or their Quirks. Up ahead, the students started to see a light. Well, no point in turning back now, right? If Yoru agreed, they'd both walk together to the spot from where the warm glow was coming from. I see you through the flood See you through the fire See you through the storms-a-raging
❧ As soon as they both stepped toward the tunnel, Yoru activated his flaming crown. Orange fire lit up above his eyes, engulfing his forehead in harmless fire and lighting the dark path in front of them. He walked just a tad bit in front of Ryuusei so they could see inside, nothing else other than his own quirk helping their vision. Thankfully, although his stamina limited his quirk usage, this one harmless flame on his forehead never tired him out. It was purely fueled by his emotions, which sometimes caused it to die out when he was upset, devastated or generally too weak to keep up a fight.
The first few moments of the walk was quiet, but there was something in the air that told Yoru disappointment would be voiced sooner than later. He looked ahead, seemingly uncaring for the small tension radiating from his friend when in reality he was just waiting, waiting for a dam to break.
Any moment now. Three. Two.
“Ahhhhh I don't understand them.”
There it is.
They only had a short exchange with their classmates before venturing out, and while Ryuusei brought up fair points and plans right at the start, Yoru could see that there was one thing they all agreed on: they had to go and see what this all was about. However, some people voiced their ideas in different ways, and that always fueled conflict in a team.
Yoru glanced over at his best friend, source of light moving with the turn of his head just slightly. “Take a deep breath, buddy. No need to justify yourself to me of all people.” If anyone, Yoru knew best how his friend’s mind was working. He had some doubt he knew Ryuusei better than Rin but he liked to think he did. The best choice was obviously to explore and see what was happening, but not everyone was like them. Some people liked to take things slower, more careful, and would instead stay behind or group together instead of letting anyone venturing out alone just so they can explore every single tunnel out there. “You made a good point out there, but y’know, convincing people is hard. There’s a reason they teach rhetoric knowledge in uni, or something. Just make sure never try to be a politician, you would suck at it.” He kept his joking lighthearted, because even though he knew Ryuusei was fuming, fueling that kind of anger was always the wrong choice.
“You made your point, they made theirs, and we are out here exploring, so it’s cool.” He rolled his eyes good-heartedly. “If you stay home being a wallflower, you will never learn how to deal with people. Consider this a, uhhh learning experience? The necessary evil? Whatever makes it easier.” He absently touched the wall as they continued forward, the gradually smoother surface feeling weird under his fingertips. It felt unnaturally flat and evened out, as if it was craved and then polished down to fit a cube through. It made him frown, and judging by Ryuusei’s reaction, he was not the only one to find this weird. As the light ahead appeared, Yoru still had his flaming crown active. Light or not, he saw no reason to deactivate it.
Glancing at Ryuu, he nodded confidently and reached out with a fist before they stepped closer to the light. “We got this.”

Hidden Dangers All Around Down in the Underground The two friends had quite the trip ahead of them and showing support to one another was a good thing to do. The tunnel they moved through was very odd, but the source of all the oddity would soon reveal itself. As they got closer to the source of the light, the thing the boys would notice first was a soft hum. it's wasn't too loud or intrusive, but pleasant....kind of. It didn't have a distinct tune or beat to it. It was a hum that seemed to go along with a song of some kind. However, even without knowing the song, the humming seemed off. Missteps between the highs and lows of the humming were never consistent and it seemed all over the place. It was like someone that was not only bad at singing but humming as well. An impossibility for most, but not for what the pair as about to meet. The source of the light? It was a single blonde girl. She wore a ruffled purple dressed and held a pink umbrella over her head despite being underground. And her free hand held a single unlit crystal in her hand. In the tunnel behind the girl was a lit tunnel with countless small crystals protruding from the smooth walls. She was at one side of the tunnel, placing the crystal on the wall and then shoving it in to make it stick them. Then, with a snap of her fingers, another row of crystals lit up to bring much-needed light to another section of the tunnel. The girl giggled, clearly happy with her work, and turning toward the boys to take another few steps forward. It seemed like she was the one responsible for bringing the light to the other tunnels and making them usable. Why they were smooth and well made was a completely different question, however. One she moved a set distance from the previous row of lights, she held her free hand behind her. A black looking rift opened up and peering through it revealed countless eyes peering back from the other side. It was something creepy and clearly occult on the other side. But the girl happily placed her hand inside of it and pulled out another handful of the small crystals she was placed on the walls. For the flash of an instant, a single eye could be seen in each of the crystals before disappearing again. It was pretty clear she hadn't seen the boys just yet, but with light filling the tunnel it wouldn't be long before the darkness that covered them would be exposed. The girl. on the other hand, seemed completely content with what she was doing and didn't seem to have a care in the world. Why she was down here and what she was doing was a mystery of its own. But it was completely possible that she had the answers the boys sought. Getting them, on the other hand, would prove troublesome for them.
