❝You're showing me colours of the sky, But all I see is Grey❞ 357 w. kenjutsu-f | reinforcement-f | radiant dawn-e The day had started off so normal as the girl sat in her room, typing away at the chatroom. It was something she was becoming increasingly fond of as of late! She even got to hang out with Theodore again and the two had spent the day at the arcade! So needless to say she was having a good day. Even Kurusu-san was being fairly nice to her, so she was all smiles.
At least she was. Until Rowan had come online. At first it seemed like some weird joke or a glitch? She was going to ignore it, but then Rowan happened to mention a word. A single word that sent a shiver down Relena's spine: Bucket.
She had wasted no time as she quickly punched in Nimue-sensei's phone number. It only took a few seconds before she picked up and Relena shouted into the receiver. Nimue was one of the few people who were in the know about Bucket, so it was safe to say that she took this seriously.
"Rowan got taken by the Bucket man!"
Nimue immediately acknowledged the information and had hung up, leaving Relena alone with her thoughts. Tears wouldn't stop coming as she just stood there and only the vibration of her phone woke her up.
She looked down and saw that Risaka had messaged her in the chat. In typical fashion, she was calm while Relena was panicked. But the girl was...offering her cake? Relena didn't care. She just didn't want to be alone right now. So she burst out of her room, not caring that she had left the door open, and walked the three doors down to Risaka's room.
The girl felt silly texting while standing outside the door and had only realized just how silly when Risaka told her to knock. So she just walked in unceremoniously inside the room and accepted the cake without question.
Relena plopped down on the edge of the bed and began shoving her face with cake, no fork required, as she looked sullen and defeated. She ate so fast, in fact, that the questionable baked good got caught in the blonde's throat and she began to choke!

RISAKA REINACHTU.A Student / Miss Gray
''Everyday I ask myself if I even should bother'' words 614 • tagged @ • notes | It was quite the fortunate timing when reading upon the chat with her coffee in the making. Risaka knew Relena well enough to use her more personal traits, such as her large apetite. Risaka can be considered a freak considering how much coffee she consumes, but the way Relena happily eat so much made her rather shocked. But with such an insignificant fact in her possession Risaka wanted Relena to come to her room to comfort her from the distress Relena experienced through chat. Risaka personally did not pay too much mind, there was enough drama in that chatroom and was honestly not shocked if yet another student gets themselves in trouble outside of UA.
''Wonder if Relena got traumatized, I don't wanna deal with such reckless emotions, but I do know for a fact when in stress they eat alot, Relena is simply perfect for this.''
Risaka opened the fridge in her room, inside at the bottom shelf was a cake with one piece missing, probably Risaka's attempt on eating it way back, but she can't recall where it came from or how she even got it, but despite the absent amount of info required to judge this cake she easily felt a presence of immaturity from it, a sense that made her despise it. Who knows how long it has been there, Risaka just noticed it now since it was so well hidden down there, but it was so big too, and she wasn't the kind to throw away food or give herself the task to remove such an obstacle. Relena however was the saviour to Risaka in this cake crisis, using Relena's stressed out phase for the better good.
Risaka waited patiently, although it went quite some time, no one could ever use this much time on walking within this building. She checked her phone to only realize Relena was just standing outside, waiting for Risaka to open without even knocking. ''What the heck... this blondie.'' Risaka anrgily typed to Relena that she should've knocked on the door instead of waiting like a moron. ''You really are an oddball... anyways, I wanted to give you thi-'' before even presenting the large cake towards the blonde girl, Relena stepped in as if it was her own room, plopping onto Risaka's bed and grabbing the cake as she began to eat away with tears rolling down. Risaka could only give an unamused stare at the stressed girl. ''Grrrr, jsut walking in like that, and eating on MY bed?! Well.... wow, she really is devouring that cake.'' With a blink of unbelief Risaka silently sat next to Relena as she took a deep stare at the soon empty cake plate. ''Y-you might be eating a bit too fast there sillyhead-'' With an awkward sweatdrop on her forehead Risaka went truly speechless when seeing Relena manging to choke on cake... cake of all things, did she forget to chew?
''Christ... what if I wasn't here hm? you're lucky..'' Risaka casually raised her arm up behind Relena's back and chopped at the upper area of her back to make the choking piece launch out from Relena's mouth. ''Relax will you, it's not the end of the world, this happens so often anyway, plus you should look after yourself first, I mean c'mon, you almost choked yourself there...'' Risaka spoke awfully much considering how secretive she was in nature, but she felt the need to wake that silly head of Relena, tolerating Relena sitting inside the gray quiet dorm room. ''I never have visitors, so please do not make a mess...'' |

❝You're showing me colours of the sky, But all I see is Grey❞ 465 w. kenjutsu-f | reinforcement-f | radiant dawn-e Relena breathed in deep and felt her face flush red as the cake built up in her throat. Clutching at her neck desperately, she thought that she'd be a goner! But then she felt something slam into her upper back and the cake was jetisoned with such force that it hacked onto the floor.
She just blushed in embarrassment as she shook. Shook from a great deal of things. There were so many emotions flooding her right now that the blonde didn't know what to do or what to think. She just hugged herself tightly as she rocked back and forth.
"Uh...y-yeah. You're right." Her eyes narrowed as she wiped them with her sleeve. She was still red from all the crying and her heart was still beating out of her chest from the built up adrenaline. She didn't know where else to turn and to be honest...she was glad that Risaka let her come in.
The girl could have easily told her to get out. She could have shoved her off the bed. But she didn't. Relena looked up at Risaka with a sardonic grin as she shook visibly.
"I don't get visitors either. So thank you for allowing me to come in, Risaka."
Her mind was slowly starting to ease itself as Relena shut her eyes for a moment, taking in the comforting smell of coffee permeating the air. It brought a smile to her face as a soft sigh escaped her lips.
And then she realized that she was sitting on Risaka's bed. Although she would normally freak out or scream, Relena's mind set was pretty off kilter. So her lips quivered awkwardly and her face was beet red as she felt fatigue begin to weigh down on her, occasionally looking back to Risaka.
Relena let her body tip to the side, resting her head on Risaka's shoulder. It didn't matter if the gray girl pushed her away. She just needed a moment's respite.
"Y-You are very kind to put up with me. For that I am forever thankful..."
Relena clutched her fists over her lap and gasped when another tear fell down from her face to plop on her wrist. She blinked curiously at it as she looked up to Risaka. She sniffled slightly as she looked down at the bit of cake, frowning at what Risaka had said.
"I'm lucky." She whispered, nodding to herself.
Relena swiveled toward the taller girl and threw her arms around Risaka's neck, giving her a short but tight squeeze. It was over within a couple seconds and Relena fallen back, blushing immensely as she looked down at the ground. She just looked up at Risaka with a grimace.
"Th-That was forward and probably inappropriate...but I needed a hug."
The girl looked up at the ceiling and breathed a long, drawn out sigh. "I just wanted a hug..."

RISAKA REINACHTU.A Student / Miss Gray
''Everyday I ask myself if I even should bother'' words 618 • tagged @ • notes | It felt a bit frustrating for Risaka, why did she put up with Relena like this? On her bed of all places, with food on it for christ sake! Risaka internal voice was yelling in confused aggravation, she usually knew what to do in msot cases without giving much need for thinking, but she felt blank in her head. One side of her wanted to just discipline Relena on why eating food on bed is a sin, but on another end Risaka felt mute towards Relena, infact her mouth didn't wanna open to release her words out, a hopeless mental dilemma.
''Grrr c'mon Risaka, you are not someone to be just considered a friend by just anyone. Tell Relena to go already and enjoy the evening with that damn slow coffee! Uuuugh, but then Relena might cry out very loud, she is extremely emotional, it feels like I am sitting next to a landmine that are about to burst with tears, and she sounds too oblivious to understand me if I were to try explain my current situation! GUUUUH! But it's nothing complicated at all! I just wanna enjoy my damn coffee in peace dammit! But then she'd ask when it's done and maybe even ask for a cup... no, no no that'd be too much, she's definitely not a coffee person, she'll probably understand.... BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY!''
Risaka got angry at herself instead of Relena, with a selfmade headache she was about to release her words with brute force, but she halted that idea quickly by slapping straight at her face with both of her hands, waking her from this mental jail she got herself in. ''....Egh, don't feel that thankful to me, this is just a visit, nothing too special.'' Sliding her hands from her face she had a very faint dark shaded prints of her hands on her face, but with still a gloomy expression, not even eyeing towards Relena as the blonde lass speaks to the monchrome. But it was then Risaka finally realized Relena had her head leaned against her shoulder. She felt shocked, spooked from this foreign act, why did Relena lean on her anyway?! Risaka was just about to push away Relena to make a strict statement, but just viewing the tear fall from her face did not only make Risaka >actually< reconsider her action, but she felt curious for why the tear even came. ''Uhuh, uhm, no need to get emotional with me Rel- ACK!'' Relana was on a roll of pressing every button of uncertainty on Risaka, never in her life did she think someone would hug. She never got one from her adoptive parents, or friends, last time she felt a hug was from both of her biological parents when she was just merely four years old. At this point Risaka just felt defeated, by Relena, what ever could the monochrome girl do? She couldn't remove this difficult feeling with physical activity or harsh words, if Risaka was able to she'd forcefully beat this feeling down into a pulp.
''...Yes, it was indeed inappropiate and forward....very forward..''
And then, sudden silence between the two, she felt stiff and unable to move ever since the hug was given. Suddenly a loud pinging noise echoed the silent room, the coffee boiler was done and made Risaka stand up, adjusting her tie with an irritated expression, huffing out from the frustrating behaviour of Relena. Turning her attention down to the airheaded, naive, small, yet brave, honest, compassionate girl. ''I might've made too much coffee, would you like a cup?'' |

❝You're showing me colours of the sky, But all I see is Grey❞ 570 w. kenjutsu-f | reinforcement-f | radiant dawn-e She didn't know why she did it. Relena had never been hugged by her parents. Any of her parents. She never had friends her entire life and she had walked a lonely road as she watched every person she cared for die. Die a horrible, gruesome death. The thought would have made her feel hollow inside, but right now her heart felt strangely full.
As if it were about to burst. She leaned back, gently anchoring her body with her arms as the girl stared at the ceiling in deep contemplation. So why did she hug Risaka? Because she wanted to. The stalwart girl who she had first met by dropping a book case on...was someone she could confide in. Risaka was a serious, no nonsense kind of person. Just like Relena when she was all alone. Back when her heart ached, yearning for someone...anyone to be her friend.
Risaka's direct response to Relena's own brought a slight snicker to the blonde's demeanor, which caused her to cover her mouth with one hand. It was the only sound that broke through the silence between the two and it was so thick, she could cut it with her bokken.
Usually in any given situation, Relena was the quieter one who spoke up only when spoken to. But then UA happened and she learned to brighten herself...just like the sun. In fact, she felt so at ease here that the soft glow from her quirk ebbed and flowed in a far calmer emanation than usual. Like a warm candle had been set alight in her chest.
As she pushed herself forward, she regarded the gray girl. Relena wondered what Risaka had thought of her? At one point she would be considered a nuisance...when did things change? Her words weren't as violent as they once were and her speech seemed to be more passive. Relena scratched her chin to contemplate the situation when a sound had gone off.
The blonde gasped as it broke her thoughts. Risaka was up in a matter of seconds and rushing toward the coffee maker. Ah, so there was coffee being made? I knew that I had smelled something wonderful in the air!
She blinked in surprise as Risaka looked down at Relena. The blonde felt a warmth of happiness as she nodded happily to the offer, still feeling the trace of tears on her eyelids. But perhaps they were tears of joy?
"Oh um, yes! Very much so!"
The girl sat up from the bed with a pleasant smile. "I very much adore coffee! I drink at least four cups a day, although I don't require it. Thank you, Risaka."
She blinked slowly as she stood up from the bed and took a step forward. "Would you...care for some help?"
Relena wouldn't want to push the issue if Risaka would turn down her offer. She was more than content to stand to the side and watch as the gray lass set up the drinks with that tell tale look of aggravation. Winter in water colors are nothing more than shades of gray.
The thought of the lyrics brought a smile to her face as she wrapped her arms around herself, swaying back and forth. This world that Risaka belonged to: The Gray World. It was a haven of peace and calm that Relena could feel perpetual bliss. If she had to give up all the colors in the world to feel this way, well, she wouldn't mind.

RISAKA REINACHTU.A Student / Miss Gray
''Everyday I ask myself if I even should bother'' words 409 • tagged @ • notes | Risaka nodded to Relena's minor surprise, even if the coffee brewing in the background was hard to miss, but Risaka didn't wanna pay mind to that, the reeking smell of the fragrance coffee. Risaka had her back towards Relena when approaching the desk on the other side of the room, it was a custom table, one that Risaka specifically had for a small but yet suitable barista equipment. She was making a mocha coffee, with a hint of hazelnut. The smell was strong in a lovingly manner, Risaka herself enjoyed it very much. But of course this was the kind of thing Risaka felt like she had to do on her own, so to respond back to the airheaded blonde she simply shrugged when opening the cannister to pour two cups. ''So she enjoys coffee? That's a new one, she hasn't even mentioned it, but is she truly a lover of coffee when she didn't even notice my barista desk? Oh who am I kidding, I am expecting too much from her, she is awfully silly by default.'' Risaka shuck her head and turned her head to give Relena the good old one eye contact. ''Just take a seat, I don't need your help, I am very capable of making my coffee perfect.''
Risaka suddenly came to a realization for what Relena meant by her admiration towards coffee, perhaps it meant something else? Or was she actually flirting with the monochrome lass?! ''No, there's absolutely no way she'd do something that idiotic, coffee flirt of all things? But if she is truly genuine by liking coffee then maybe she has a preference, shall I ask her for a specific flavor add on? No, why should I, this is my coffee in my dorm room, she should be happy with what she gets, but what if she also likes licorice coffee... I should ask.'' Risaka gave a gentle yet noticable cough before fully turning her body around to confront Relena on this important coffee topic, but to only get shocked by Relena's rather silly attitude. Was she hugging herself? Risaka never felt scared to say stuff, but right now she was very against talking to Relena with that kind of attitude, did she even notice Risaka was looking at her at all?
''...Uhm, are you okay or did someone strike your head? Chest pain?''
If only Risaka knew what Relena was thinking, in this gray room was truly the normal way for Risaka to percieve the world, quiet and almost lifeless, but yet with a welcome touch. |

❝You're showing me colours of the sky, But all I see is Grey❞ 493 w. kenjutsu-f | reinforcement-f | radiant dawn-e Relena had smiled even wider as Risaka declared that she didn't need help. The blonde nodded to the affirmation, but still preferred to stand and continue to watch Risaka as she worked her craft.
To be honest, she had no idea what the machination was that the gray girl was working. She knew of course about coffee makers, since that was what she used in the mornings before and after her runs. But Relena's maker was small, with a cute little handle filter that was just the right size to make a single cup. There was no need for anything bigger, but the thing that Risaka had was truly impressive! Relena watched the way she moved with such focus and aptitude. In fact, she was so engrossed with both her vivid thoughts and peaceful observation that she somehow hadn't noticed that Risaka was staring at her. The cough had gone unnoticed to the blonde.
Gah! How long has she been looking at me? Wait, did she see me staring!? Was I staring? Oh...oh no. Should I say something? Apologize or...
"Mmmm..." She mumbled.
What! That's it? Say something else!
"Chest...pain?" Relena spoke softly.
The girl kept swaying, but she lowered her left arm to squeeze her waist while pressing a gently right hand on her chest. It was beating pretty hard. It felt somewhat painful, but in a good way. The thought of it made her nerves stand on end as she tilted her head to face Risaka.
"Hmm...maybe. I am unsure. I feel..."
Feel...what? She's your friend, right? Speak your mind.
Her lips quivered as she clutched her chest. A slight whimper escaped her lips as she took a slight step back. Relena was no longer swaying playfully, but now in a strange, almost drunken gesture.
I can't...I just can't. It h-hurts. My chest hurts when I look at her. I want to look at her...the gray is so pretty. Those eyes are...Why does it hurt?
You know why it hurts.
I do? N-no...I-I don't want to, damnit!
Relena took another step back until she pressed her back against the wall and all she could do was stare at the ground as another tear cascaded down her cheek. Her mouth turned into an exaggerated frown.
Stupid. You're stupid if you don't speak up.
No. I haven't even known her long! She'll think I'm an idiot. Or worse. Reject me. Just like Papa. Just like Momma. Like...everyone else. I don't use that word...it hurts too much.
Relena Tsuruya had never felt kinship before. No friends to speak of. So it came as no surprise that once she met someone who took an interest in her, she would return that love tenfold.
"Love..." She whispered.
Her eyes widened at the sudden outburst. She gasped, feeling sick to her stomach as she stood there against the wall, unable to move. Unable to breath. Her heart pounding against her chest so hard that it hurt. But she dare not look at Risaka...because she knew what would come next...and it pierced her heart so painfully.

RISAKA REINACHTU.A Student / Miss Gray
''Everyday I ask myself if I even should bother'' words 488 • tagged @ • notes | It was clear she shouldn't even have questioned, Relena looked even more confused than Risaka, or maybe did her words hit a nerve within the blonde's body? Risaka quickly put her attention forward to focus on finishing the two cups, usualy at times like these she'd press Relena with more questions, but with each idea going through her head she falls back into the same blank end. Risaka came to a selfmade conclusion that Relena was simply too unpredictable for Risaka to interpret, however it goes without saying that unpredictability can lead to major unfortunate situations, and Risaka wanted to avoid those.
''Guess I have to bring out the big questions, I can't let this awkward silence eat me up.'' She was about to ask Relena if she wanted any biscuits to the coffee, it was awfully 'thoughtful' of Risaka, she has never asked anyone if they wanted a biscuit, heck she hasn't even served coffee to someone before. But there wasn't more to it, at least it shouldn't, Risaka was not about to ask such generic question for the wrong reasons, simply manners. She turned around again, trying to put up a genuine attitude. ''So, blondehead, do you fancy a biscuit with yo-'' She stopped her words when seeing that single tear roll down, blinking with a raging confused thought. ''Wait what hold on, why are you crying again?! How am I supposed to talk to someone crying without knowing why?! That only leads to more risky situations!'' Risaka felt very caught up on being cautious with Relena, quoting once more, she was just like a landmine, just that words could trigger it.
Risaka dropped the question entirely and put two simple biscuits next to Relena's cup. ''To hell with it, only way to save me from going nuts is breaking the ice, coffee will do.'' Risaka grabbed up the plate with both cups on it and walked swiftly down to where Relena was, noticing that she was still against the wall. Risaka knew words wasn't her best thing, so instead of trying to listen to what Relena was about to say, the monochrome forcefully grabbed back Relena's attention by giving a somewhat firm chop to her head when walking past towards the table, not hearing the one word the blonde muttered. ''Hey now, I won't let you drink it while standing in my room, take a seat at very least..'' Risaka was smart enough to grab her comfiest chair, her personal chair, with cushion armleaners and a soft backpillow, but the couch was no laughing matter either, it was very dark and had a soft fabric that was comfortably to the skin. Risaka put the plate down at the table and gripped her own cup with her right hand, letting the reeking steam of hotness fly into the open air. |

❝You're showing me colours of the sky, But all I see is Grey❞ 511 w. kenjutsu-f | reinforcement-f | radiant dawn-e The girl was stock still, completely focused on the floor as her fists balled up tightly. As Risaka approached Relena, she held her breath to prepare for what came next.
Thunk.
Eh?
A casual thwack to her head was given in passing as Risaka moved past her to prepare the coffee...and biscuits? She was offering her food? Relena gazed down at her stomach and realized that she had only eaten a cake...she was still hungry.
"O-Oh right! Um, thank you very much!"
Relena was ecstatic that she got to try some of Risaka's coffe and lightly skipped toward the girl like a fairy on a pond. For some reason, all of her melancholy had melted away from a simple chop to the noggin and now she was beaming with happiness. It was almost to the point of giggling as she approached the table to gingerly accept the cup and a biscuit.
It was different from when she made coffee in the mornings. Relena filling her fat tabby cat mug as full as it would go and guzzling it down in a couple large gulps. The burning bitter liquid was always a friendly reminder that she was alive! But this...
Relena tip toed ever so carefully over to the couch and plopped down. He small rear end sank slightly into the soft material and she nearly fell over, yelping in surprise. Luckily she caught herself and chuckled nervously.
"Heh heh sorry!"
She looked down at the steam billowing up to waft in her face. The blonde closed her eyes as she allowed all of her senses to calm themselves. Her worries drifted away. She felt lighter and warmer. Relena raised the cup to her lips, one hand holding the handle while the other cupped the bottom. Sipping delicately, Relena felt the care with which Risaka had put into drink. The warmth permeated her body that sent a shiver down her spine.
Any other occasion she would be saying something like: Oh my god, this is so good or wow you're so amazing!
But no. She was silent the entire time, absorbing the comfort that the room offered. The smells and sights and tastes. Relena was not one for obnoxious noises and nonsensical sounds...and then she realized. Again, The Gray World she existed in with Risaka at this moment had none of that. It was peace incarnate. It was safe and gentle.
Relena opened her eyes slowly, her lashes fluttering like a butterfly. She nibbled at her biscuit calmly to avoid choking like before.
"I'm done crying for now, I think. Heh, I was behaving rather silly, wasn't I?"
The radiance that came from her body was an oddity in the room of gray hues. It seemed to accent Relena's cheery mood even further. "This world you have created for yourself...is one of existential beauty, Risaka. It fills my heart to overflow with the serenity I feel."
She took another sip and nodded. "Every day I look up at the sky that keeps me alive. You're showing me colors of the sky...but all I see is grey."
Relena leveled her gaze at Risaka. "You are the sky to me."

RISAKA REINACHTU.A Student / Miss Gray
''Everyday I ask myself if I even should bother'' words 687 • tagged @ • notes | Risaka watched Relena carefully with her cup's edge against her lowerlip, her eyes observing how Relena approached the couch and accepting the coffee. It was simply because Risaka saw Relena as someone tad bit clumsy, and last thing she'd want is the blondie spilling coffee all over the couch and table and floor... of course Relena would be the one to clean up, Risaka would make sure of that. But for now Relena got along nicely with the setting, although Risaka wish Relena didn't walk so funnily, tip toeing as if she was a small kid? She surely had a childish side. ''Hmph.'' Risaka casually responded to Relena's silly behaviour when sitting down, luckily for the blonde the couch was excellent for backleaning. Risaka slowly crossed her legs and sat comfortably in her chair, eyes closed while her senses took in the marvelous traits of the coffee. Risaka felt sort of surprised by Relena's sudden silent phase, letting the silence in the room take over with both of them drinking their dark beverages.
''Thank god she isn't on a talking spree, the coffee was the right choice afterall, but... I can hear her sip the coffee, can't she be a bit extra delicate with it?''
The room was dead quiet afterall, any small noise could be heard without a problem, and that meant anyone who even dared to step into this room is heard the moment they open the door. But this was alot better than hearing Relena munch and swallow the large cake, but she did her job, one less food on the table to toss.
Risaka took another silent gentle sip, but then hearing a small crunching noise. ''Of course.'' She already forgot she served two biscuits to Relena, oh how it backfire hard already. A slight anger mark spawned on Risaka's forehead while trying to enjoy her coffee with the cruncy biscuits in the background. Just when Risaka was about to put down her cup Relena began to speak again. Risaka huffed out and stared at her with half closed eyes. ''I don't even know why you did, but please don't do it anymore, you have every reason to be happy right now..'' If only she could read minds, Risaka truly didn't understand Relena. Risaka then began to listen how Relena described her room and the atmosphere. Risaka didn't know that's how she percieved it, infact for Risaka it was all gloomy and down, mostly because that is how her life has been ever since her childhood. ''It's just a gray room, an effect for me staying here, a place where I can't be blamed to turn things gray around me, people can't come in and complain at me for making my own stuff gray.''
It was maybe not noticable, but she did a slightly angered sip, closing her eyes, hearing the lyrics of the sky. Blinking confused towards Relena. 'Sky'? She tried to analyze this metaphor, but Risaka was never the kind to be artistic nor creative with words. She held her chin and gave the sentence more thought. ''I am the sky to you... That sounds silly, I can't imagine myself as the sky, what, implying the sky is always clouded?'' Risaka tried to shake off the unanswerable questions and leaned to the side to a vinyl player, putting on a classic from the 1700's. ''Egh, her words are too confusing, some music will do, maybe then she will stay more quiet... how long is she gonna stay here anyway? Not that I mind that much, she's not that loud as other students.'' Risaka was hoping Relena would fall in a trance from the soothing music, this was the kind of music Risaka listens to when she studies. ''Do you enjoy classical music? I often think classic music speaks alot more than music with lyrics.'' The vinyl player began and started off a bit optimistic with a following soothing session of pure perfection from every kind of intrustment, mainly the violnist player taking the lead.

❝You're showing me colours of the sky, But all I see is Grey❞ 571 w. kenjutsu-f | reinforcement-f | radiant dawn-e Relena's smile grew even wider as she finished chewing on the last of her snack. She couldn't help how her emotions affected her, after all. But...
No...in Relena's eyes it wasn't just a gray room. It was what made Risaka a unique and amazing person. She sat there watching the girl with a curious look on her face as she contemplated what was being said. She would not presume to understand how Risaka's quirk had affected her life, but she would very much like to know sometime. She found her to be a truly magnificent person, but she wouldn't say so aloud. After all, Relena had already said so much embarrassing things already.
Luckily Risaka didn't see the words in the same light as Relena had. The blonde girl had studied poetry in tandem with her swordsmanship in the same vein as the old Japanese warriors. So her speech, when she felt like it, could become quite literate. The downside to this was that she spoke in quite a romantic fashion, so her cheeks would become flush with passion. Good thing the gray masked the red.
"It's not silly at all, Risaka." She mused warmly. "Clouds have nothing to do with it, for clouds do not deter the sky. No, in fact, they help to provide shape and depth to the otherwise empty canvas of blues."
Relena sipped at her coffee with more purpose now, accepting the full meaning behind truly appreciating something. She would work harder in the future to make her own coffee feel more respect. Perhaps she could even ask Risaka sometime how she makes the confection so delectable?
"But that is another discussion. The purpose behind the lyric, and why I cherish it so much, is because someone sees so many possibilities before them. However, I only see just one." She held up her forefinger to drive her point. "It's a cheesy thing to think on, but I'm really into that sort of thing."
The blonde girl blinked curiously at Risaka who asked if she liked classical music. It was, in fact, her favorite form of musical expression. The soothing melody of strings and wind working in tandem were something truly wonderful! She recognized the music almost immediately, since it was a well known piece that would never become dated. It uplifted her soul even further than it had already been.
Just who was Risaka to hit all of Relena's high notes? The colors, music, food, and care were all culminating to make the girl's once sour mood into something far more amiable. She felt so much energy and bliss within herself that Relena sprang up from the couch to set her coffee cup down on the table.
Moving her body to the rhythm of the music, Relena approached Risaka who was sitting in her comfy chair. Unceremoniously, she grabbed Risaka by her hands and pulled her out of the chair while giggling happily.
"J-Just trust me...'kay? Here..."
Relena set Risaka's hand against her waist and entwined her fingers around the other hand, meanwhile she took hold of the hem on her long skirt to lift it up slightly. It was something she had always wanted to do, ever since she was young, but never got the chance to do.
"Now just step this way. Come on...please? I've always wanted to dance to Mozart."
The petite girl gazed up at the taller with her shining emerald eyes. Would she have this dance?

RISAKA REINACHTU.A Student / Miss Gray
''Everyday I ask myself if I even should bother'' words 587 • tagged @ • notes | There was no stopping Relena and her unceaseable mouth, once she gets going Risaka knew it was just a downhill of annoyance ahead. Risaka tried her best to focus on the music, but Relena was very genuine with explaining these artistic meanings didn't reach to the gray mind of hers. ''Hmph, surely a gray sky is one with nothing but clouds.'' Risaka was well aware there was more meaning, but she simply chose to not put that into her sights, for her she wanted absolute descriptions. She leaned harder against her chair, taking in the last sip of her coffee while Relena was expressing her ambitious feeling towards the whole gray theme, as if Relena would know what a gray life means. Risaka is the only person who can tell someone what a life with nothing but gray feels like, but then again Risaka was not the expressive kind, she enjoyed keeping her stuff for her own, but at this rate she needed to prove Relena that this lifestyle is nothing to dream about, Risaka is only living it because it is the only way she knows.
''Don't get me wrong Relena, I live with this because I can tolerate it, but you simply can't put yourself in my shoes, because there are no one other like me in this annoying world.'' She put her coffee down and leaned her head on her right hand and stunning out a huff, here she thought this would be over already, but no, Relena keeps sticking to the gray lass, Risaka almost thinks Relena is doing this to mock her, but that'd sound too smart for someone like her... ''Just what are you after blondie? No one has been this expressive towards me, so why now? It makes no sense.'' Alone with ehr thoughts Risaka finally let the music do the moving, she closed her eyes and soared with the waves of rhythm, Mozart truly was a genius. ''Ah, here comes the good part, finally.'' Risaka's head gently waved with the music, having her senses cut off from the world around her she did not notice Relena getting up. It was then she finally saw Relena right infront of her, blinking confused at the blonde. ''Uhm..'' And just like that Relena had a hold of her hands, and Risaka sort of panicked mentally and gave a suspicious stare at Relena.
''So what are you just trying to do blondie?'' She spoke when being pulled up, then put into a foreign gesture, and so close up to this airheaded girl, Risaka didn't know how to correctly respond to it. ''Are you trying to set up a joke? I've never danced in my life, it's pointless and can disturb the music's flow.'' She heavily criticized dancing as a whole, but Relena was smart enough to do baby steps, Risaka on the other hand did each step with only half heart. ''If you truly wanted to dance to Mozart then why haven't you danced with a dummy doll or other silly individuals enjoying this ridiculous act.'' Risaka kept on commenting on the whole thing, but eventually was being lead by Relena's movement, her eyes staring down at her pair of shimming emeralds. ''Why does this feel so weird...'' Risaka didn't manage to put out another word when looking right into Relena's eyes, she was sort of caught off guard, but by what she had no idea. ''Maybe I should've made more coffee... or given more snacks... or not put on music at all.'' |

❝You're showing me colours of the sky, But all I see is Grey❞ 520 w. kenjutsu-f | reinforcement-f | radiant dawn-e Risaka was right. She was the only one who knew what it felt like to live with this and that was fine. It made her a special person in Relena's eyes, but she couldn't help but feel a tinge of sadness at the word 'tolerate.' It implied that no one had ever thought to consider the gray girl's perspective, which tugged at the blonde girl's heart.
How could someone not be intrigued by her? The strength of will that expressed a layered sense of care that she buried deep. Her love of timeless music and expression to detail over coffee, which most would consider a mundane task. Yet it was something that Risaka took seriously to heart. Calling the world annoying was a statement that Relena whole heartedly agreed with when she was younger. When everything was against her and she felt like she would simply perish without anyone remembering her. Like a knife to the heart, digging deep and rending her of all emotion.
So as Relena swayed to the music, feeling comfort in Risaka's gentle grasp, these were the thoughts going through her head as she gazed intently into her eyes, refusing to blink for a moment. The way that Risaka continued to talk over the music was amusing to Relena, who remained silent as she listened to the complaints. She laughed lightly as the two fell in tandem to the rhythm of the violin.
The girl didn't know what her dance partner was thinking, but oh how she wished for it so! If there was one wish in the world, it would be that. There was a melancholy to her that Relena wanted to share in, to gently embrace, and hold onto. To never let go once she had it. Because she saw a semblance of herself there that she had never seen in another that both caused her immense joy and also deep sorrow. A balance of both aspects had drawn the bright and colored to the gray and guarded.
Relena felt a slight shift in Risaka's movement as she finally gave into the sweet music and allowed Relena enough control to lead them in the dance. She didn't mind taking the lead for now as she kept a solid hold over this special person. But then...Risaka had looked down into her own emerald eyes. Staring into her and being stared back had sent a pulse through her heart, as if her entire being was shaken to it's core. At that very moment, her body moved on it's own.
The blonde girl stood on her tip toes and leaned forward to gently press her lips against Risaka. It felt as if time had come to a stand still...to pause this moment that meant so much to Relena. There was no fear. No regret. Just...
Love.
Relena slowly pulled back from Risaka as her luminescent eyes were tinged with tears. She still stood on her tip toes, which made her body shake ever so slightly. The music played in the background, the aroma of coffee still permeated the air, and the world was still gray. But all she could hear and see was her.

RISAKA REINACHTU.A Student / Miss Gray
''Everyday I ask myself if I even should bother'' words 390 • tagged @ • notes | She found the situation rather odd, the monochrome girl was reminded to herself why she was making her life into an insolated downhill of sadness. She was used to it and was living it for the sake of not having to feel rough, to now only have someone make everything seem irrelevant. Relena made Risaka's view of the world go upside down, Risaka truly felt like it was a hopeless world for her hopeless life, no one wanted to know her due to her quirk in her early life, she didn't have rolemodels and she especially never experienced love to another. It made Risaka simply too denial for what Relena was trying to do, with how much interest she shows and how much time she has decided to spend with Risaka. Her eyes began to frown at Relena's, because of only having questions rather answers.
Risaka began to move a bit more slow, trying to gain Relena's body to stay still for a moment to be able to focus, with the music going and Relena's presence made it difficult for Risaka to think. ''Relena, hold on, you surely must be joking like a child, there is no way someone could show this much interest for me, no one ever ha-''
Peck
Risaka felt like she was just stunned from a inner grenade, Relena leaning against her much taller height, knowing the fact Relena was tip toeing. As for Risaka's reaction, the kiss might be small, but it certainly left a big impact. Her eyes blinked rapidly from being too confused, way too confused. At first thought Risaka was thinking Relena was going crazy, that the blonde had lost her mind. Risaka didn't know the concept of feeling flustered and just stared deeply into Relena's eyes. ''Why are you like this, I have never kissed before and I don't know my own feelings, but yet you act as if you actually know me, or that I don't know myself..'' Risaka just felt blank, she wanted to give up thinking to analytical on this. Her hands however was gripping at the sides of Relena's lower body, not pushing her away or giving her head the usual chop, because Risaka knew those weren't answers for her questions. |

❝You're showing me colours of the sky, But all I see is Grey❞ 522 w. kenjutsu-f | reinforcement-f | radiant dawn-e She shivered all over from the sparks shooting through her entire body. Her eyes were more focused than they ever had been in her life and nothing else mattered in that moment to her except the person who stood before her.
Relena had always been scared throughout her life, which was why she adopted so readily to the art of kenjutsu. So that she would never feel pain as intense as that time...but now here she was taking a risk that could lead to more pain. Yes, love was a risk to take, but it was one taken by the bold...and sometimes those risks reaped such beautiful rewards. So was Risaka worth the risk? In Relena's mind, there was no question. It was an unrelenting, overwhelming yes for the blonde.
She didn't know how Risaka had reacted to her show of love and it scared her the most. She put her heart out and she could only hope that the feelings were mutual. Because if Risaka didn't feel the same, Relena's world would crumble before her.
She had said there would be no more tears, but Relena couldn't hold back a single bead from cascading down from her wet eyes. Her eyes squinted with happiness, but gleamed with pain from her heart. Her breath was heavy, feeling a numbing tingle from the feel of Risaka's lips.
"It was...my first kiss too."
Her voice was a whisper, but there was no hesitation in her speech like usual. What was wrong with her? The normally giddy and bubbly girl wasn't behaving like her happy, joyful self. It was a different expression of joy this time. A delicate one that held a warmth within her chest that soothed her fragile soul.
Why was Relena like this? Because you make me like this. I don't need a reason to want to spend time with you.
"You see, that's the problem. I don't know you..." She looked with ever growing eyes into Risaka's. "But I deeply want to. I need to. Because when I look at you, I have feelings I've not felt before...and I want to feel it more and more!"
Relena could reason that Risaka was very confused by all this. To be honest, she didn't know what to do either. She should be scared, shouldn't she? And yet, while feeling Risaka holding onto her, the shivering began to cease. She felt such comfort in the girl's firm embrace that her quivering lip slowly changed into a sweet smile.
"We can find those feelings together..."
The girl wrapped her arms around Risaka's neck ever so carefully. She craved the warm energy of the sun everyday that gave her life and she craved sweet desserts. There were many things that she longed for and now Risaka Reinacht was one of them.
"Because I think I love you." She proclaimed.
The smaller girl felt like a doll in Risaka's grasp, so delicate that she could shatter at any moment. But she didn't look away after making her declaration. She refused to look away, but instead shone her feelings with the intensity of the sun at the one she had offered her heart to.
"I...liked that kiss. Didn't you...like kissing me?"
