these rapid eyes will keep on moving Out in Musutafu's shopping district, not far from the school, Lani was doing some much getting browsing. With the excitement of the sport's festival and all the things that were going on, she had fallen behind on restocking the things she needed to take care of. She was almost out of lotion and shampoo. She didn't like the conditioner he had and needed to find a new brand. And her snack reserves were running low. So now was a good time to finally get something done before school ramped up again. The hero school really knew how to make their students work hard and put in as much effort as they could. So Lani made sure to set out some time in her day to go out shopping. And since there were no classes today, she had plenty of time in case something else came up. Since the sports festival, a number of weird things were going on, namely the increase in the number of fires going on around the city. No one really seemed to be paying much attention to it, but after witnesses two of them herself, Lani was starting to feel a little suspicious of it all. But for now, she could put that out of her mind and head toward a department store. Where she went wasn't all that far from the school. In fact, it was the one closest by. It sold a little of everything. Clothes, food, small furniture, and even electronics. Back in the states, the store would be comparable to something like Target or Walmart. And for this occasion, Lani was dressed pretty casually. With spring on the way, she could open up her preferred wardrobe and wear something that showed more of her skin off. She hated being stuffed into winter clothes that covered her up and prevented the light from reaching her skin. The girl had her legs out in full force while she covered the top half of her body with a black hoodie. She had her hair tied back and her hands stuffed into the hoodie pockets as she walked the sidewalk toward the store. Her eyes wandered the streets, curious as to what kind of people were out in about today. It was relatively calm; almost as if the whole city was taking a break from the usual hustle and bustle that filled it. There was no doubt that others in the city had the same idea as her and looked to spend the day restocking on the things they needed or just relaxing in general. Lani liked it. Sure, she was the loud and rowdy one, but she could take a moment to chill as well. That said, she didn't really expect to see anyone else form her class at the store, but time would reveal that later. For now, she entered and grabbed one of the baskets that were stacked up at the front. When she went to go and pick one up, the one under it stuck to the bottom of the first. Lani took a step forward before releasing this and sighed as she looked down at it. "What a pain," She muttered as she pulled the two baskets apart and placed the second one back on the pile. It was a small thing but it was amazing how often it happened when one went shopping. ulla

Miku was out for soem fresh air. She needed a breather. Although she still felt upset tha she didnt feel calm. Every 5 minutes she's looked behind her, over her shoulder, scared and paranoid that she is being followed. Miku goes to a store, purely to browse. She was curious to see what the place had in store. She wouldnt buy anything, because no money. But she would browse and take note if something catches her eye. Something that she would wish to purchase "Lets see" she thought to herself as she walked
Miku explored the store, but there was nothing of interest to her. Until her phone rang. It was that phone and she saw a chatroom she never saw. She quickly registered and logged in. She was BlackDahlia. And soon she texted this strange person
Igarashi_H text to unknown #: Apologies if I am disturbing you, this is Miku? BlackDahlia DM to Igarashi_H: Hello? Who is this? Igarashi_H: my name is Hideki Igarashi, a pleasure to meet you. I was instructed by TS to invite you to an evening at my family's amusement park. I was given a set of... seeds? For you BlackDahlia DM to Igarashi_H: *eyes* BlackDahlia DM to Igarashi_H: O-oh... Ok... When do you want to meet? Day?Hour? And that stuff Igarashi_H DM to BlackDahlia: if you have time on Saturday we can meet at the front gate of Planetary Studios at 11. Dont worry about paying your way in of course. Black Dahlia DM to Igarashi_H: Alright. I'll see you there... But, um... how will I know you?
She then saw a photo that was sent that made her eyes widen. Well fuck, he was hot. This was terrible. Miku just shook her head and took a deep breath, she then typed 'noted' and continued her walk to calm her down. Along the way, she thought she saw someone in the distance "Is that Lani?" she'd ask herself

these rapid eyes will keep on moving Before Lani could head off to start shopping, she saw a familiar face walking passed the front end of the store She was already inside and browsing, but she saw Lani before Lani could see her. She looked a little distraught, which wasn't typical of Miku, so Lani was a little worried. Just what was going on with the girl? "Hey, little one," Lani responded with a smile. SHe fondly remembered them first meeting up at the start of the school year. Lani's subtle frustrations with how timid the girl was. A lot had happened since then and Miku was far from the only one that needed to break out of their shell, but Lani still appreciated the girl's innocence. And her display in the sports festival was equally as commendable. "Look at this contender over here." She said with a chuckle as she walked up to the girl and threw an arm around the blonde's shoulders. Her other hand held firmly to the basket she had and held at her side. "How you be, girl?" The inquiry was two-fold really. One was about her feelings at the sports festival as a whole, but the other was before Lani was a bit worried about Miku's mood. If anyone dared to bother Miku, Lani would be there to set them straight. No one messed with her classmate.
As for Lani, she was just here to shop and would communicate as much. She held up her basket to Miku's view and nodded her head toward the health and beauty department, which was right passed the produce department in the store. "I gotta find a new conditioner. My old one is fucking trash." She said, answering the inevitable thought or question of what Lani was doing here. "What brand do you usually use?" She added, curious as to how Miku took care of herself. Meanwhile, out of sight from the two teenagers, another person was shiftily moving through the produce aisles. They were messing around with the different fruits and the shelves they were displayed on. Checking between the shelves and the ceiling above, almost as if they were trying to find some perfect spot in the middle of all the food. One could mistake them for a thief, but what they wanted to do was far more nefarious than that. In the last few days, a certain crime had taken route in Musutafu and was increasing every day. Most people were overlooking it as some kind of coincidence, but soon enough everyone would have a rude awakening to just how dangerous these acts were.
However, back at the storefront, Lani was with Miku and hoping to hang out with the girl a bit if she had the time. There was no use just shopping alone after all. "Wanna hang out with me for a bit? I'm just picking up a few things." She explained, hoping to have a bit of fun with her classmate. It had been forever since they hung out together. ulla

Lani was the first one to do the greeting. She was being her usual confident self, Miku envied that. Lani asked her how was she. Miku, unaware that it's a two fold question thus only answered in one aspect "I'm alright"But even that wasnt much of an answer, as she just didnt know what to say. She didnt know how she felt anymore.. what is real? Luckily the subject was brushed aside quickly as they went to talk about fun things. "Well, I use Jungle. I know funny right? Because of my Quirk, but its what was recommended to me. But honestly, you should take beauty tips from me. I was raised by a guy and I lack that proper feminine girly knowledge, I have the bare minimum that's required to live" Miku said as she admitted she knew very little things a girl does, like the proper keeping up, beuty, makeup, fashion. Hell, she only recently realized that in middle school she used mostly male beauty products and perfumes. She really didnt have any luck growing up. Lani then asked Miku if she wanted too hang out, a simple question and gesture that made Miku smile truly. "I'd love to", Lani was her first UA meeting, her first friend. She wanted to hang out with the girl more, and Miku just wanted to spend time with anyone more. She needed to learn how to socialize; Lani was the perfect person who could help her that

these rapid eyes will keep on moving Lani couldn't help but shake her head as Miku answered her. it seemed like the girl was still as self-conscious as ever. Even with her suggestion, it seemed like she didn't want to put any confidence behind it. One would hope the school helped her out a bit, but it seemed like Lani still had some work to do with her classmates. Sure, Lani wasn't the paragon of humanity, but confidence and assertiveness was one subject that Lani could speak well about. "Girl, please," Lani answered back with a chuckle. "You've got some nice hair, so you know something at the very least. Even if ours is different, you put some effort into your hair rather than none." She added. She mentioned her father again, which made Lani smile. Having a father seemed nice, even if Miku used it to justify her lack of knowledge on girlier things. But in the end, Miku was girlier than Lani and Lani was raised by her mother. "My mom raised me and she didn't pass on anything either. So give yourself a little more credit." Lani didn't like her mother at all.
But like Miku, she had a lot of love for her father. It was just unfortunate that she had yet to meet the man. That was an area in her life Lani wasn't comfortable or confident in at all. "But I'll check it out. See if it holds up to the Miku seal of approval." She teased as she started to head for the part of the store that held such things. They'd walk passed the produce section and into the health and beauty section of the department store. There, they were greeted with aisles of lotions, shampoos, lipstick, soaps, and all other kinds of products. The Japanese way of branding and labeling their product was so different from America. It was much more busy and colorful. One wasn't better than the other, but it was still something Lani had to get used to. While Lani browsed, she chose to talk about school a bit, just to get caught up with Miku.
"Our class has changed a lot since school started huh? A lot of people going in and out. Anyone stand out to you yet?" She asked, basically asking Miku's opinion on her classmates. Lani had gotten to know quite a few of them pretty well since the start of school and was wondering if Miku had done the same. As the two of them spoke, an odd smell started to fill the air. It was coming from an area in the store behind them. It wasn't strong at first and started as a subtle scent. But as the two spoke and browsed the smell grew stronger. It smelled like fruit. Fruit roasting over a fire, as if someone was cooking a fresh pie of some sort. In a grocery, the first thought was that it wouldn't be weird at all. But knowing the bakery didn't serve fresh pies would ignite some suspicions in those that paid attention. ulla

Lani was always the confident and supportive sweetheart, a true badass. Even with the current roster of classmates, Miku would've still voted for Lani as class prez. "If you say so"Miku didnt think she was giving herself little credit, she thought that was realistic But nevermind that, she didnt want to think of such issues like confidence or lack there of. Lani teased a bit, as she said she'll try the conditioner and see if it has the Miku seal of approval, which made Miku giggle a bit.
As they walked, they passed the produce section and into the health and beauty section of the department store. There were aisles filled with various lotions, shampoos, lipstick, soaps, and all other kinds of things. As the two girls browsed they talked more. Lani asked about her opinion on classmates. "Well, the person who stuck out to me the most... well, besides you is Haruuhi. You see, we're sisters now. Back then when class chat was a thing, you might remember how Haruuhi wrote that she's an orphan. And how she got to hospital because of that festival. Well, I promised her I'd give her a family.. so me and my dad adopted her. Thats why we have matching last names now. Lets see who else, Yusaku is nice. But its really weird to be erm... inside him. I know he's like a robo machine suit, but its reaaally weird. But I cant tell him that, I dont want to offend him. And then... lets see Emi. She was a bit rude at our last class meeting at that dinner thing. But overall she seems nice. Sadly I didnt get to hang around with her to really know her. I did help her in a video project and she seemed nice. Lets see, then we have Chimera. I dunno what to say, I have mixed feelings since we started a bit bad and we never resolved those issues. We're also bandmates now I guess, since Im in OD Hazard now. I like calling him Satan just to tease him." although she partially called him Satan to please Darren. Now after speaking about Chimera she moved onto another student " Elise and Tetsu are a couple. Tho I like Tetsu a bit more. Elise just seems like... perfect, like a better version of me, which I guess makes me a bit angry. I dont wanna be around Elise. And I guess the last 2 notable ones are Nyke and Ericka. Me, Nyke and Kogami did team up once to save people. But sadly thaty my only interaction with Nyke. And well Ericka... I dunno much about her, other that she's real nice and our class prez"But still, there were other students. Miku mentally counted how much students she mentioned. 8 people? Anad their class was 20. "I dunno anything about the others and the newer ones. I didnt get to interact with them at all. Didnt even hear a name"As she talked to Lani, she noticed a rather... funky smell. She didnt know what to think of it. Miku figured it was something harmless so dismissed it... or at least tried to.

these rapid eyes will keep on moving Lani couldn't help but chuckle as Miku mentioned Haruuhi. Her first encounter with the girl was a pretty funny one. And then after the Kunshu festival when she was injured and about to quit school, Lani was pretty worried. It had been quite a long time since then, but Lani was glad the girl was still with them and doing her best to be a great hero like the rest of them. Lani could say that she was really proud, but it wasn't like Lani did anything but add a few encouraging words. "I remember when I first met her. She was talking through a radio box on her waist and I thought it was her uterus talking." Lani said with a laugh as she remembered the girl's reaction and how they both first learned they were going to be in the same class. What a start that was. It was nice of Miku and her father to adopt Haruuhi into their family and she could only imagine what the man was like. "I've really got to see that." She added, hoping to not only see Miku's dad but what it was like to have a family like that.
However, Miku's next few words really stopped Lani in her tracks. The girl mentioned their resident robocat and being inside of him. Lani's expression was one of visual confusion. "W-what?" She questioned. She knew that hew as some kind of machine, but being hollow on the inside was odd and uncomfortable. Part of that was because Lani couldn't imagine being separated from the light like that and another part of it was the idea of every part of her body touching the inside of someone else. Gross. As she continued, Lani realized the girl had quite a few thoughts and interactions with the rest of the class. She couldn't imagine Miku not liking someone but she kind of named two people already. They were people Lani didn't have a whole lot of time with, so she was curious as to why it was like that. "That's....pretty informative. Surprising too. I'm glad you are really putting yourself out there. I dare say, you're more outgoing than you think." She added. A lot of people stuck to their own cliques and didn't mess with others outside of their class all that much.
And yet, here Miku was meeting nearly half the class on a personal level. It was better than Lani at the very least. As the two spoke, the produce section was becoming more volatile. What was a weird smell had turned to smoke that filled that area? And before anyone knew it, a fire had started among the fruit. The shelves and bins the fresh fruits were set in had scattered embers popping up in them and customers in that section were quickly taking notice. And while one would expect the fire or smoke alarm to go off because of it, no such thing happened. They had been tampered with. This growing fire wasn't spontaneous but planned and the unique smell of fire was impossible to mistake. ulla

Miku was taken aback by Lani's comment that Haruuhi had a talking hooh hah. She didnt know should she laugh or just be shocked. But she was sure surprised by THAT statement.
When she heard that Haruuhi got adopted, Lani said she wanted to see that. Miku said "Maybe you will. Though dont let his appearance startle you. He might look villanous, but he's pretty much the papa bear"
Later she give a short description/opinion/thoughts on some of the classmates she interacted. Lani seemed to ave been surprised by Yusaku's part "Um yeah... He's a robo cat suit." she leans in and whispers to her "Dont tell him. But it was real weird and creepy when he did that. Dont tell him, I dont want to offend him" After which she spoke normally again
Lani seemed surprised by the amount of comments Miku made and even went as far as tell Miku that she's outgoing. Miku shook her head. "Nonsense. I only hung out with all those people either once or twice, with the exception of Haruuhi because she's my sister now. I dont consider that as outgoing"
As the two spoke, the produce section was becoming more volatile. What was before a funky smell turned to smoke that filled the area. And before anyone knew it, a fire had started among the fruit. One thing that one would notice was the lack of fire or smoke alarms. "Hey!? What the devil fruit is that?? We should check it out" Miku said

these rapid eyes will keep on moving Lani waved Miku down, shaking her head and smiling. "I'm sure he's sweet. Just look at his daughter." She complimented them both. She knew full well what it was like to be raised by a villain and Miku didn't seem to have that vibe at all. Lani was thankful though, she wouldn't wish that on anyone else. "I know what a villainous parent is like and even the people that liked them don't speak of them so fondly." Lani had no idea what it took to be a parent, but she could at the very least see that her father had done well by her. Maybe work on the girl's confidence some, but great nonetheless. "Just once or twice is fine. Just trying to meet other people is good enough. You gotta give yourself more credit girl." Lani added as she put down one of the bottles she was looking at. She enough, Miku didn't think she did anything all that impressive, but Lani felt like she had met more people than most others at the school. It was either because she hadn't found her clique yet, or because she liked meeting others. Either way. Lani felt like Miku had grown a little bit.
That said, as the conversation came to a close, a sweet burning smell started to intrude. And as Miku brought it up, Lani noticed it as well. her nose scrunched up and her eyes darted around to see what exactly that was. "The hell?" She muttered as she moved her hand up to her nose and covered her nostrils with the back of it. It smelled like something was burning and it was pretty pungent now. It was hard to think of it as just something burning from the bakery. And sure enough, if there were any second thoughts, murmurs could be heard across the store as people started to realize what was going on. "Alright," Lani answered Miku as she jogged back out to the main aisles to see if she could get a sign of where it was coming from. From there, the two could see the glow of orange from a flame in the produce aisles they had passed before.
People were rushing away from the section and making their way toward the exit. All the while not a single fire alarm or sprinkler was activated. Smoke was even starting to fill the ceiling above the produce. "What's going on?" Lani quested as she looked up at the ceiling to see why nothing was turning on. But even if there wasn't a warning for everyone, there had to be something to help put out the fire. Water was going to be difficult to move through the store, but a fire extinguisher would be perfect at the moment. Lani pointed to the walls that marked the edge of the sales floor and looked at Miku. "See if you can find a fire extinguisher. I don't know why the alarms aren't working, but it's a bad idea to let it spread any further." She told to Miku. And while she looked on the wall near the health and beauty section, Lani was going to look near the front of the store so that they could close the fire in from both sides. ulla

Miku smiled at her words, it seems that Lani always knows what to say. If he's sweet then all hawaiians are sweet. She has undeniable proof of that. But it did surprise her that she knows what a villanous parent is like, and people that liked them dont speak of them so fondly. Miku had no idea what was that about, and wasnt sure should she ask. Her dad was basically like 'See what I did? Now do the opposite'. That was his mentality when raising her. After which Lani then spoke again and said that Miku should give herself more credit. Well... if she did good, then ok? But Miku didnt have time to think about that as the smell of something foul came to her. She brought it up to Lani. Miku looked at her to see what should they do. Lani moved her hand to her nose, Miku did the some. The smell was utterly terrible. She then followed Lani to the main aisles to see what was up
There were people rushing away from the section and going to the exit as quickly as they can. But strangely, Miku noticed that it was sort of quiet... too quiet. Sure there were people rushing away and screaming and the like, but...no fire alarms? And no sprinker activation. Something was not right. Some was starting to fill the ceiling as Lani asked whats going on. Miku replied "Thats what I'd like to know"
Lani then pointed in a direction and told her to find a fire extinguisher. As it was a bad idea to let this spread. Miku nodded and rushed to find one

these rapid eyes will keep on moving With the plan of action settled, Lani ran toward the storefront until she could spot a fire extinguisher. She didn't know how they were identified in Japan, but in America, they were red and kept in clearly visible places for when they were needed in an emergency. So when she did finally spot one, she almost looked over it. While some fire extinguishers were red, the one the store had was in a silver canister. The color didn't matter, but it did take her an extra split second to realize that it was there and she kept that in mind for the future. She made her way over to the case and used the metal blade hanging from the side to break the plastic glass. It was the classic "break in case of fire" case that they were held in and this was a situation that needed it very much Still, even after all that, most of the store wasn't even sure what was going on. The lack of alarms was really out of place for the situation at hand. In fact, as she pulled the fire extinguisher from the case, an employee looked at Lani weird wondering what was going on.
But Lani didn't have time to stop and explain. She rushed back to the produce section with the employee chasing right behind her. It wasn't until the fire was in view that the guy stopped to make an announcement to the rest of the people working in the store. As Lani made her way to the fire she moved the nozzle from the side of the extinguisher and pointed it toward the flaming fruit. Just as she squeezed on the end, an announcement came over the store's speaker system telling people to evacuate the store. IThey were the procedures that one would expect from a store in the case of a fire. All the fire drills and practice were for a moment exactly like this one. As for Lani, she wasn't leaving until she put the fire out. She didn't fear it as much as she probably should have, but she was supposed to be a hero. Naturally, she aimed to solve the problem rather than run away to get help. If Miku was able to find one as well, she could help Lani out out the fire.
And after some time, other store employees came to assist in making the flames die down until there was nothing left Fortunately, they were able to get to the fire quickly, so it never left the produce section. However, there were some oddities about the fire. Amidst all the foam and liquid from the fire extinguishers was another flakey white powder. It was hard to pick out compared to everything else, but it was ash. The fire present wasn't hot enough or present for long enough for ash to exist. m The food was charred and burned, but it wasn't turned to ash just yet. So why was there ash present in the produce section? And would anyone notice it? ulla

Miku ran in the direction Lani pointed. She searched for a fire extinguisher. It wasnt easy but she eventually found one. Miku rushed to the fire, and she saw Lani up ahead, meaning that her classmate found a fire extinguisher before Miku. Still, Miku followed close behind and used the emergency item to put out the flame
"How did this happen? Fruit just doesnt spontaniously combust, I mean I should know! But still, must mean there's foul play" Miku thought to herself and then soon noticed that other people had joined in to help put out the flame.
Through teamwork everyone managed to do the job and put out the flame. Everything was white and foamy. Miku carefully approached the foam and touched it. She then grabbed a bit of it and looked it in the palm of her hand "Hey Lani... I may not be some expert, but erm...ash. Its weird that its here, right?" Miku asked and she showed Lani what she had found. Miku wasnt sure what was normal and what was not. Its not like she ever put out a fire before. So, was it normal that there was ash in there? Or was her earlier thought correct?

these rapid eyes will keep on moving With the fire calmed, Lani put down her extinguisher. It seemed the problem was solved for now and she was glad that it was really easy to deal with. However, that wasn't the end of the problem. Surely the fire department would arrive and do a thorough investigation, but as students, Lani and Miku were being ushered to leave. They weren't supposed to get involved int he first place, but they did as heroes do. When Miku spoke up, Lani walked over to her and looked at what was in her had. At first, Lani thought it was the stuff that came out of the fire extinguisher. She didn't really know if that was safe to touch or what, so she was concerned for Miku, but when the girl said that it might be ash, Lani raised a brow. "Really?" She questioned as she leaned over and looked at it. Ash did have a different look than the stuff from a fire extinguisher. It was flaky and dry, the opposite of what was needed to put a fire out. But nothing had burned long enough for there to be ash, not that Lani knew off.
"We need you to leave." One of the employees said out loud, speaking to Lani and Miku specifically. Lani looked up and nodded her head, not arguing since it seemed like the fire was over. "That's super weird though..." She added as she placed her hand on Miku's back to get her to start walking with her toward the exit. But just as they started to move, the ash in her hand started to flicker. Despite the fire being put out and the ash not being warm at all, it flickered with a dim light for a moment. It caught Lani's eyes and she quickly swiped at Miku's hand. She didn't mean to be aggressive, but if she hit Miku's hand, it would knock the ash from it. Either way, the ash would relight only a moment later. It flared up again and the fire returned, burning a little brighter this time. It wasn't just the ash Miku had either. Everywhere the ash was, the fire returned as if the ash itself was reviving the flames. The scorched fruit was on fire once more and the heat was back.
Lani backed away from the flames, taking Miku with it if she was still close enough. The employees in the store were surprised as well. Some dropped their fire extinguishers in surprise while others started to spray again. But it was likely that even if they put the fire out again, it would rekindle as it did just now. Looking to Miku, Lani pointe dup at the ceiling. "We got to turn the sprinklers back on." She said. they were not working for a reason and maybe they could combat the ash that was messing things up. They just had to find out how to turn them on. That meant they needed to get to the ceiling somehow. Fortunately, Lani had an idea and Miku was the key. "Hey, how high can you grow your plants? Let's see if we can reach the ceiling from the gardening section." If Miku can use her plants to get them to the ceiling a safe distance away from the flames maybe they could solve this problem once and for all. ulla

"We need you to leave." said a voice behind Miku, as it slightly startled the plant girl due to its loudness out of nowhere. Lani nodded along, placed a hand on Miku's back and thus the two started talking. Lani said what just happened was weird. Miku could only nod in agreement. It sure was a strange event that happened. Surely it'll be a story to tell. Suddenly out of the blue, Lani quickly and swiftly swiped at Miku's hand. Confusing the girl, as Miku didnt understand what was up. Miku wasnt looking at the ash at that time, she was lost in thoughts so she didnt really notice the flickering ash.
But as the ash was knocked out of her hand, it relighted for a moment. Which made Miku's eyes widen "Just what the heck is this!? This is NOT normal ash" Miku thought to herself Soon the ash, not just the bit that Miku had, but all, relight and the flames returned as if nothing happened. What the hell was up with this ash?
"What is this??" Miku couldnt help but ask. The two girls backed away from the flames. It seems that Miku wasnt the only one shocked and surprised as everyone in the store was as well. "We need water" Miku said Lani pointed up to the ceiling and exclaimed that they needed sprinklers. Of course. That would be better then search for a random water quirker.
But how do they fix the sprinkers? Miku had no iota of what to do and how to do. But it looked like Lani was on top of things "My plants can go real high. They can get to the ceiling no problem. Lead me to the gardening section" Miku said. She wasnt quite familiar with the stores layout. Maybe Lani was, they needed to be quick

these rapid eyes will keep on moving It looked like Miku was on board with their little side mission. And with the store employees busy with the fire, they weren't around to scold them even more about not leaving right away, They were heroes in training after all. They couldn't just turn their backs on the trouble that was being caused. Lani was sure that the ash wasn't going to stop from them doing the same thing over and over again. So with Miku in hand, Lani made her way back to where the gardening section of the store was inside of toward the front like they were asked to go. As they went, Lani tried to explain what she thought was going on, but she wasn't even entirely sure. Al of it was just based on the information she put together base don what happened so far. "I'm pretty sure this is arson. Someone tampered with the fire protection and everything." She explained. The fire alarms didn't go off and none of the sprinklers turned on. And then when the fire extinguishers were used, they were mostly useless because the flames just returned. This was planned and done on purpose.
As the for motives or reasoning behind it, Lani didn't really know. That wasn't something she could figure out right now. But she had to deal with what was there now. "And that ash you picked up. I think it relit the flames. So I want to wash it all away." She said to her. "And sorry about that." She added when she hit Miku;'s hand. She didn't mean to be rough, she just didn't want her class' resident cutie to get burned. And in time, they made it over to the gardening section. Aside from the displays filled with flowers and seeds, Lani was looking for the pallet and shelves of mulch. It was what they could use a foundation for Miku's plants to climb up to the ceiling. "Grab what you think will work best." She said, pointing out the cardboard display shelf that held a variety of packets of seeds. And while Miku was doing that, Lani made her way over to one of the pallets of mulch to see which one they could climb the easiest and use as a base for the growing plants.
Miku's quirk was very useful, even when dealing with a fire like this one. It really had a lot of applicable useful and could be very powerful. Lani was already happy to see it in action So once Miku found and what she needed Lani waved the girl over to her and helped her climb on top of the pallet of mulch. She could plant the seed in the middle of it and they could use the growing plant to reach the ceiling. Their true search would begin once they got above the ceiling tiles. Meanwhile, in the produce section, the employees were doing their best to combat the flames. But even when they put a section out, it lit right back up again. It was only a matter of time before it became too much for them to fight back. Miku and Lani had to get a move on! ulla
