- are you holding your breath again? -
Late night, loud music, bottles of various shapes and colors and sizes...nightclubs were nightclubs no matter what country you were in, and to Elena, that was something of a comfort. Sure she wasn't of legal age to drink in Japan and she had been back home, but that was nothing a little cleavage didn't fix, or a card to the Hostess Club where she worked. Most bartenders assumed that a girl working at a place like that would be legal, or at least "old enough", even without an actual ID.This club was a bit more theatrical than some that she was used to. Why were the waitresses and dancers dressed up like something out of a haunted house? This was either catering to some very niche type of party-goer, or the owner had a fetish.Hey, to each there own.Elena was dressed for an evening out: black dress too short to hide the tops of her thigh-high socks, nails sharp and bright pink to patch the decorative clips in her hair, heels that bumped her already impressive five feet eleven inches to higher than six feet tall, and neon purple lipstick and eye-shadow against her smooth dark skin. Coming through the doorway she had to take pause and admire all the lights and people and music pumping from over-sized speakers side-by-side to the DJ booth. This was the sort of place she'd been looking for since coming to Japan. A grin split her lips as she descended into the madness, moving to the rhythm on the dance floor as she made her way to the bar on the other side. The moment she escaped the writing mass of bodies, though, her phone vibrated in her purse and she paused to check it. A text from her roommate. Oh boy, what now.[TEXT] Tatsuya Inoue: don't you have work tomorow? [TEXT] Tatsuya Inoue: you went clubbing NOW???Elena "tsk'd" between her teeth and shoved the phone back in her bag.Does he think he's my father or something? I work the late shift anyway, I can get plastered tonight if I want to. Christ, what happened to him? He used to be fun.She slid onto an empty bar stool, flashing the skull-wearing man behind it a big grin, her single visible eye glittering with the flashing blues and pinks and greens of the club's many, many lights. "An umetini please!" She sang in a cheery voice, positioning herself to lean against her arms, the thin straps on her shoulders doing very little to keep her dress where decency said it should stay, "Extra strong!~" If I remember his text after this drink then I'm doing tonight wrong. WC: 457, Who Wants to get crazy tonight?~

The woman in the red dress moved through the crowd with relative ease. Her tall slender frame standing nearly six foot event looking a little taller as well as she walked with the light clack of her black heels. Her black stockings reaching up covering most her legs up to the thighs. Her short redress sleeveless as well with a slit up the hip that was held closed by gold clasps. The dress meant to give her a sensual but also attractive appearance while also allowing her freedom of movement should she require it. Her red lipstick shining lightly each time any light bounced off her lips. Her upper face covered by a simple masquerade mask that hid her eye patch well and had one shining yellowish brown eye shining through the right side of her mask. She slide quickly onto the bar stool next to the dark skinned woman without thinking about it much. Her black gloved hands placing lightly upon the bar as she sat in a well postured position. Her short dark hair carrying a light glimmer as some of the lights bounced off of it. " Give me one of the special mixes I like." She'd say in a way that implied something. The skeletal costumed bar tender nodding and fixing a drink and looked like he slipped something else in it as well but as to what would be unclear. Turning as he stirred it lightly and the dark liquor carried a fizz to it was well as she threw it back allowing a special burn to carry along with it all the way down to her gut. Letting out a refreshed mild sigh after she'd taken the drink. Reaching into her handbag and pulling out a cigarette and golden lightly quickly with a couple clicks of it getting a flame to hold and setting the end of her cigarette off in a light bright flash of embers as it settled and she drew in a heavy breath of smoke allowing it to feel her lungs before expelling in a light puff as it drifted towards the ceiling of the flashy club. The music moving through her as she turned to face Elena and acknowledge the lovely girl by her side. " Nasty habit I know, Do you want one?" She'd say with a light chuckle. Relaxing and enjoying this place for its atmosphere. Here she could fade into the crowd and didn't have to be the boss. She could just enjoy herself and let the stress melt away a little and forget her stressful work for a little while now and again.

- are you holding your breath again? -
Another person coming up to the bar was simply how bars went, so Elena didn't give the newcomer a passing glance until she had a martini glass set on the bar in front of her. The liquid inside was even hotter pink than her nails, and the lights that hit it from all angles only made the color pop all the brighter. Elena grinned, took the orange wedge off the glass, and took a nice big mouthful. It burned in the way only gin could: like liquid sorrow and pain. It was balanced by the plum liquor, but in the end they were both very strong types of alcohol, so her throat was left scalded even though the taste was much better than a drink that was 30% gin should have been.
One gulp wasn't enough to get her tipsy though. She had a night to forget to get underway, and that meant needing more alcohol than one glass. She drank down the rest of her first drink at the same ridiculous speed as she had taken the first "sip", then set the empty martini glass down, bit the innards of the orange wedge out, and left the empty peel inside. Finally she turned to look at the woman next to her.
The smell of smoke was comforting, even without the beginning fuzziness that came with getting tipsy, but it was heightened by it without a doubt. The woman was almost as tall as Elena herself, which was impressive. She also was wearing a mask. Had she missed something on the sign to this place? Was she supposed to be in some kind of costume, too? Well, she was dressed like something, and she could pretend that these clothes weren't a part of her every-day wear...or work wear, for that matter. Elena grinned and turned herself on her stool to be facing Nori as the bartender took her empty glass to be refilled without her even asking.
Now that was good service.
"You know, I was thinking this drink was missing something. Absolutely!" She extended her hand to take the offered cigarette. On instinct she nearly lit her thumb aflame to light it, but she didn't, instead holding it to be lit by her generous new acquaintance. Using her Quirk might not even be noticed with all the blue lights. Hell, she didn't even care if it was. But some people didn't react well to seeing your hand literally catch fire from seemingly nothing, and she'd rather some nearby drunk not try to spray her with an extinguisher first thing tonight. It had happened before.
"I think I owe you a drink now or something. Or at least my name." Once her cigarette was lit she'd bring it to her lips and take a small puff. Ah, when had she had the money to buy smokes lately? Not recently at all. Probably not since she'd left home, honestly. It was hard to buy them without pocket change. Or a legal ID.
"I'll let you decide, but either way, I'm Elena. Nice to meet you!" WC: 516, @iwa , Hey Hey Fire Sister~

The sensation of her drink ran through her system as she took a stiff drink from it. The narcotic mixed in she'd asked for in her special mix had a way of making her skin tingle and her overly heated body relax to a degree it normally couldn't so easily. It allowed the vibrations of the loud music of the pink jackal wash over her. The sensation of it causing a slow and lightly cold sweat helped her body chill just lightly. Her normal body temperature at a constant high heat like she was a mini heater constantly stuck at a fever temperature without the ill effects of a fever.
She would do as she offered though pulling out a cigarette for the woman and when she took it clicking the golden lighter to light it for her. Her yellowish brown eye glimmering a bit as she couldn't help but briefly focus on the shiny violet lipstick. She had a cute enough face and there wasn't really anyone of interest this night. She was pulling herself away from the businesses for a night. She'd light the girls smoke and smirk lightly at her with a intrigued expression and warm but strangely cold grin. The Tobacco a fine brand after all. Only the best for the Yakuza princess.
"Well you already gave me your name before you got a answer. That's poor business practice darling. But call me Nori, An I wouldn't mind another drink..." She'd say with a sly grin as she tilted her drink up and back the fizzing narcotic fueled drink sliding down her throat in a clean drink pouring it all down her throat in a mere few moments.
"I've not seen you here before, What brings you to such a place to drink away the night? Looking to drown your woes? Get away from a old love? Find a new one?" She'd ask curious prodding briefly and playfully. Relaxing in her bar stool allowing the light and music to wash over her. In places like this should could always escape and just get away from it all for a time.

- are you holding your breath again? -
Elena placed the cigarette between her brightly painted lips to leave her hands free as the bartender returned with a refill of her first drink. She took it from the bar top by the long, thin stem of the martini glass and held it between her fingers, all so she could keep her body turned towards Nori. She then took the cigarette back into her empty hand and released a long stream of smoke into the air. "Same as the one you finished, or is it buyer's choice? Because these umetini's," she tipped and tilted her glass just enough for the colorful liquor inside to do a little swirl, "Are a hundred percent alcohol and still taste like fruit. They're to die for. Have you tried one yet?"
Her work brain was already trying to get the woman as drunk as possible, which was probably not the best way to make a friend. She had to remind herself that not every place that served booze was a host club. Daily habits were the hardest to break.
"Ah--but it's totally your choice." Elena took a sip of her drink before she could say anything else. Thankfully Nori filled the moment of silence--metaphorical silence, the bar was anything but silent--with a few questions that were both friendly and loaded. Elena had the sensibility to finish drinking before she put the lit cigarette to her lips again. "Lord no, to all three of those. I'm just here to have fun. Does anyone really need a reason to go to a club?" She looked away from Nori at the mass of moving bodies on the dance floor, so entangled with one another in the flashing lights and heavy music that it was impossible to tell what limbs belonged to whom. "I heard it mentioned by a few people at work and thought, 'hey, I haven't gotten so drunk that the room goes upside-down in a few months, I should fix that'. So I'm here!"
At least she hadn't grimaced at the mention of finding a new love. Yuck. Elena had enough "love"--of all kinds--at her day job to not ever want to find it on her days off.
She took another longer drag on the cigarette. It was a lot better tasting than the cheap ones she used to buy from behind drugstores and on the corner. The smell of the smoke, too, though lovely, reminded her of the richer clients. Nori probably had money to spare if she was willing to share these with some pretty stranger at a bar.
Or she had ulterior motives.
Well, hope she takes rejection well, if that's her goal.
"What about you? I know I just, like, said nobody needs a reason to go clubbing, so this is a total contradiction. But if you had to give one anyway what would it be?" WC: 482, @iwa , Elena is full of contradictions TBH

She chuckled a bit as the banter continued. This girl not a bore at least as Nori watched her with her good eye from under her mask. Curious what kinda new friend she have met after all. "By all means pick the poison if you'd like. I'm curious what kinda tastes you have." She'd say allowing the woman to pick the drinks playing along in the banter and chatter.
She placed her cheek lightly in hand with her elbow on the table in a relaxed fashion so she could face the girl as they spoke in a relaxed manner. "Strong and sweet, Sounds like a delight, I'd love one." She'd say playfully eyeing the strange drink the woman indulged with agreeing she'd most certainly like one as well.
She took the occasionally drag from her cigarette as the conversation rolled one. Giving a brief grin as the woman's casual response to why she was here before moments after asking Nori her reasoning as well. "Let's just say work can really be a hassle. It has its ways of stressing me out to the point places like this just make the perfect escape now and again. After all we all have to escape now and again and just sorta get to get out of our own heads for awhile right?" She'd ask curiously being for the most part honest at least.

- are you holding your breath again? -
"Hell yes, my taste is impeccable. You're gonna love this. Bartender-sensei!" Elena turned back to the man behind the bar, whom, in all his skeletal regalia was doing the stereotypical bartender thing of cleaning glasses with a spotless white cloth. Was that even necessary or was it just a thing they taught at bartender school? The "mother" at work did the same thing when numbers were low. Huh. "Another umetini, and make my next one be a yuzushu! On the rocks!~" She held up two fingers in a little 'V' as she made her order, cigarette balanced between them. The bartender nodded and went on to mixing the ordered drinks while Elena returned her attention to what was left of her second umetini, finishing it off in record time. Oooh, the back of her head was starting to feel warm and tingly, and she wasn't thinking as much anymore.
Yet she could still perfectly remember the contents of her phone's inbox, so she wasn't gone enough to start the real party. Still, Elena didn't want to wind up blacking out completely, thus she'd ordered a lighter drink after her two brain-breakers. Now that she was absolutely out of sobriety it was time to roll into a comfortable drunkenness.
From the sounds of things Nori was looking for a similar sort of escape from her own brain. Elena snorted softly and flicked the ashes of her cigarette into a very conveniently placed skull-shaped ashtray that she could swear wasn't there when she'd sat down. Service here was crazy. "Nori-neesama--can I call you 'neesama'?" Without waiting for an answer, she continued, "I feel you on that. So so so so much. My job absolutely sucks ass. I think the only way I can get through it is this," she tapped one long, bright-purple-painted nail on the lip of her empty glass, "And I work so late I don't even gotta worry about showing up in the morning with a hangover. Not that they'd care if I did. That's the only good thing about that shit-hole; everyone else working there things it's just as shitty as the rest of us...even the management!"
At the end of the day, nobody wanted to be working in a seedy barely-legal host club in the middle of Tokyo's most dangerous district, but for some it was all they had.
Like herself.
"Whoops. That got too real there. Oh, but what a lovely distraction coming my way..." Elena trailed off as the bartender returned with a pair of drinks. One was the same bright pink liquor served in a martini glass, the other was in a short glass with a lemon-yellow drink and a pair of large, round ice cubes inside it. She took the umetini from the bar and delivered it to her with one hand beneath it and the other gently holding the stem, like she were offering a rose. It was a practiced gesture. "Here you go, Nori-neesama. One drink that is much too sweet for the amount of alcohol in it."
Once the offered drink was out of her hands she took her own stouter, somewhat plainer drink and started sipping it. Her lips puckered instantly. Oof. Sour. Definitely a kick in the teeth after how sweet the umetini's were, and while not even as strong as them, it burned in the way that sugary drinks simply didn't. "Hijo de las Mil Putas, that is fucking tart. There goes my sense of taste for the night." Elena cursed in her native tongue, her whole face scrunching up comically as she set the drink back down on the napkin it had come on. This was not a drink to chug down unless you wanted to fuck up your throat for the night. Which was great for pacing herself...but it also made it the sort of drink she'd only buy for somebody that she REALLY didn't like.
It was one of her most popular orders at work. Those sleazy fucks would say shit like "I can barely taste the sourness" and "It tastes so sweet, just like you" while she pretended to believe them...like she couldn't see them purse their lips with every sip.
Cocky, brainless, insufferable shitheads, the lot of them.
It was funny to watch them squirm. WC: 727, @iwa , also the ice is skull shaped

She couldn't help but feel a small chuckle push past her lips at the girls energy. She came her to escape the burden of what all she had to manage and run back home. Life had given her all she wanted but in such a way that it nearly crushed her time and time again. So while such places like this and times out were a escape she could easily forget so many others were just having a good time all their own. It was refreshing to be able to mingle with such people now and again. When she could in a sense wear a mask and be a normal girl for awhile. Metaphorically and literally in this case it seemed.
She rested her cheek in her hand turned to face the girl listening to her vent out the troubles of her own work. The one good eye under the mask watching her quietly as her expression showed a mild interest as she watched and listened carefully with every word. "Life always does tend to make things difficult doesn't it." She'd add simply as it seemed even if for vastly different reasons life had made both of them seek a little bit of a place to relax and vent it all out a bit tonight.
"You can call me that, I don't mind." She'd say simply taking a strong drink of the ordered mix drink and placing a couple fingers over her lips briefly after as the sudden burn surprised her. Nori could handle a stiff drink easily but this one definitely had a bit more of a kick then she actually expected.
"That... That's definitely something. I expected you to be more of a fruity drink kinda girl. No offense." She'd add with a light chuckle letting out a light cough before taking another drink of it and following it with a lofty heavy breath. This girl definitely was a stronger drinker then Nori had given her credit for.

- are you holding your breath again? -
Elena kept a curious eye on Nori as she went for the drink she had picked out for her, hoping for a positive reaction. When was the last time she'd gone out drinking and dancing with a person and not just some stranger? Well, Nori was still a stranger, but she now had a name and a personality--or the beginning of one--that Elena could save to her face. That made her not a stranger anymore. She was still a little too cool and collected for Elena's personal taste, but that was fine; you could make friends with your total opposite, so long as you had the important parts aligned. Come to think of it her attitude reminded Elena of her roommate. Maybe she should--
Maldita sea, maldita sea.
She took another long sip of her drink, going slow enough that she essentially punished herself with the sour taste moving over her tongue. Nope, not tonight. If Tatsuya was going to be a whiny bitch and berate her for going out on her own time, she wasn't going to think of how funny it would be to try and set him up with anyone.
He didn't deserve it.
"Aahhh, do I exceed expectations?" Elena let out a snicker at the look of bemusement on Nori's face, visible despite the mask she was wearing. "I mean, if you want to get technical, it is a fruity drink. Plum wine, cranberry juice. It's almost like a smoothie," she paused, tipped her head back, and with a look of mock consideration added, "Oh. Except for the shit ton of gin in it. I think that's where all the burn comes from..."
Her fake expression dissolved with a little fit of giggle, the sort that made wobble a little on her stool. Sitting was getting harder the more she drank, not just from how her balance was ebbing away, but because the rushing warmth going through her veins and making everything feel hot and good and free made her want to dance. She set her half-finished yuzushu on the bar--she wouldn't be drinking from it after this, she knew better, even when half-way out of her head--and walked a foot or so away, heels making her sway in a way that somewhat balanced out the alcohol walk.
Elena then looked back over her shoulder at Nori, smiling wide, and slightly wild. "I'mma do a little dancing~ Get the blood pumping~ You want to join me, Nori-neesama?" She hoped that Nori would say yes--yes to a drink, yes to some fun, yes to the lights and music and everything Elena loved...and had nobody to share with.
Huh. She hadn't realized how much she wanted a friend tonight.

Nori couldn't help but let a light chuckle into her palm at the explanation of the drink. The mention of the gin and the way this woman gave the small explanation on what was in it amused her. It was only times like this she got to speak more eye to eye with someone one might say. Less friction in the conversation or worried aura if they didn't really know who she was or what she did for a living back home or on the streets of Tokyo's underground.
"Allot of gin? Is that all? Here I expected more of a twist but at least it fits the bill of a good drink. I like a good mix myself but I didn't expect the kick to be that much from the sweet smell it had. Silly me I guess, Letting one's guard down like must be my own fault in this case." She'd say with a light snicker yet again. Finishing anything that was left in her drink moments after.
She turned in her still legs crossed at first watching her lightly wobbly and carefree new friend work her way towards the dance floor. The alcohol appearing to begin its path to sending warmth through her body if she had to guess. Nori just giving a chuckle resting her chin briefly in her hand as she watched with her good eye and a soft smile remaining ever present. It reminded of her when she was young and some of her studies abroad when father had wanted her to see the world and get a education. This girl had that aura of freedom she remembered.
Rising up walking carefully towards the girl with a decent pace and light sway in her hips as the red dress she wore clinged tightly to her agile figure. "If we're gonna dance Elena, Or if you're gonna invite to then we better have fun with it! I don't like to be disappointed." She'd say reaching down with a gloved hand in a quick motion attempting to snap up Elena's hand in her own and then take the lead to pull her even further into the dance floor then they'd already gone.
Her good eye taking a small flame to make sure could be briefly seen as she looked up at the DJ, They would have known who she was and the image as she would be trying to pull a girl by the hand towards the dance floor would be a cue to play something Nori deemed dance worthy. Nori trying to get Elena if she didn't argue to the center of the floor before turning attempting to take her in both arms and engage some lightly fast paced foot work. She didn't like to do things half paced. It was always nice when she got to be in a spot light without the tension of her work weighing in.

- are you holding your breath again? -
"I said a shit ton, not just a lot! And I don't even think gin has a smell normally. Except maybe, like, pine needles and sadness," Elena snickered into her palm, standing on the balls of her feet with her heels only lightly touching the ground. Dancing in heels was never a feel-good experience, but she wasn't about to go barefoot or wear flats. She relished in being tall enough to stand over most of the people in the club. Thanks Japan for the lower average height! At the same time it did leave her with some wicked bad blisters if she wasn't careful or wearing strong enough tights. She should be good tonight. Should be. It depended on the dance.
Speaking of dance, Nori was up for one, and from the glint in her eye--though that may have been the flashing lights--and the way she grabbed Elena's hand to pull her deeper into the mass of writhing, grinding bodies she was a big fan of dancing. And would you listen to that, the song had changed to something really fast-paced and fun, like it was played just for them to rock out to. She stumbled slightly through the crowd until Nori stopped and she, too, came to a halt in the midst of the dancers.
Elena began to sway her hips, hands up and brushing her long nails through her hair, starting to get a feel for the song and how to move her body to it. Eyes closed for a moment she could feel a little more fuzziness coming over her. Ahh...maybe she had started too strong after all. Two and a half strong drinks in the span of ten or twenty minutes? That wasn't smart. That was angry drinking, vindictive drinking. Not the sort that ended in a good night no matter how much fun was had beforehand. Why couldn't she keep herself on a sensible level for just one night? Why did she always--
--hands on her hips, trying to move her, trying to pull her into waiting arms--
Elena's eyes shot open and her hands came down hard and fast over Nori's wrists, slapping the woman's touch away in the same motion that she took a hurried step back, bumping, thoughtlessly, into some people close by who barely even noticed. Her visible eye was wide, dark skin flushed from drink but somehow paler than before. Oh. It had only been Nori, trying to get her to dance with her. That...oh...
"Shit," she mumbled, moving forward, hands still at her sides and not coming as close as she had been, "Sorry, shit, I...didn't think...I wasn't looking for a second, and I don't like people touching me without...yeah. Sorry. I didn't..." Elena blinked and checked her own palms with the tips of her fingers. Normal temperature. Her Quirk hadn't activated by accident. Thank God. Slapping the woman away was bad enough, but Nori would probably had hated her if she had burned her by mistake.
She placed her palm against her visible eye socket for a moment, then when it lowered, was forcing a bright grin on her face again. "Leeeeet's keep dancing?" WC: 536, @iwa , Whoops

It took her a few moments to register what happened unsure what had offended if not upset as well the mysterious friendly face she'd met a few drinks earlier now. Part of her felt a small sensation to strike back as the kindling fire inside her burned lightly. Under her dress her skin briefly hardening as well but thankfully she had learned to control her burning coal fire of rage. The power softening and and ending itself before any visual effects would have been able to be identified. Her skin would have felt as it always did though to touch a little hot as if she constantly burned at a fevers temperature even at her calmest and powers cooled.
"More sensitive then I would have guessed. But no harm love my mistake, Try to calm yourself and just take a few easy breaths." She'd say softly with a small coy smile appearing as friendly as a daisy in may. The kind smile as much of a mask as the small mask she wore. She was curious why the woman covered he eye. Nori could only watch with her one good eye and would try and remain friendly dancing with her new friend. Allowing the music and alcohol to wash over her and not let it ruin either of their times at least. Allowing them to dance into the night until their hearts were content.

- are you holding your breath again? -
Elena kept the pretty plastic grin on her face until Nori spoke, saying that she did not holding any of Elena's actions against her. So she hadn't screwed the pooch yet. Good. With a comically large sigh of relief her expression returned to one of more genuine delight. There was still some energy lost that would take more than forgiveness to recover, but hey, the night was young and they'd just started dancing.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm good. Let's do this~"
She didn't close her eyes this time as she moved along to the music. Instead she kept her gaze unfocused, weaving among bodies so she could see where people were, where bodies were, where hands were. Her dancing wasn't professional by any means. Simply swaying, moving her hips along with the beat, her hands up in her hair. Still, the heat on the dance floor was wonderful. Among so many people all flying high as kites on whatever their poison, forgetting how awful or boring or cruel the world was outside for a few hours; she felt better here than she did alone in the apartment, hearing people chatter on the floor above or below or besides their room. Even when she wasn't by herself she had to get out. It felt too damn much like home.
...
...
For enough songs that she quickly lost count, Elena danced, sometimes with Nori's hands in her own but usually with only passing glances to the other woman indicating that she still cared about her presence. She did care. Just dancing side-by-side was enough to relay that, wasn't it? Her skin was warm--well, warmer than a normal person's, which for Elena to feel was interesting--from dancing and drinking no doubt. She'd been really nice so far. What was she like outside of nightclubs, though.
It would be nice to have more friends. Or even just people to drink and dance with. They weren't always mutually exclusive, but sometimes they were. Maybe this time...
Right at the end of one particularly ear-blasting piece, Elena stepped backwards hard enough on her heel that she felt the plastic core creak, and she stopped just before it could crack. Glancing down over her shoulder she checked to make sure it was still in one piece, then looked quickly at her phone. An hour had gone by already, and she was feeling more tipsy again than drunk. She could tag out and fix that with another drink, or do the sensible thing of getting some water or eating food and waiting a bit.
The night was still young. So were they.
But she was probably more intoxicated than she thought she was.
...I'm starting to sound like Tatsuya.
"Woohoo, I'm starting to come down...hang on, lemme flag for another drink?" Elena giggled, keeping her weight off her bad heel, "You want anything either, Oneesama?" WC: 481, @iwa , Making good choices every day

It was strange at first, She wasn't quite sure fully on what had risen the abrupt reaction from her newly found friend for the night. But her eye would watch and her ears would listen as they would enjoy themselves. While she relaxed and danced with the dark skinned darling. She couldn't help but feel for a short time lightly on edge. Some small twinge inside her worried if this person knew who she was or if some plan was at foot here. She was usually careful when she chose to be out alone and by no means was she a defenseless little daisy. But even still she knew she had enemies to be weary of.
But as time went on and the sensations of the narcotics and fluids running in her body had most the stress ease away in time. The movement of her body like water moving along to the guiding rhythm of the music. Remaining close but careful with her new friend. Only in a few sparing times did their hands meet or lightly touch one another. The whole thing a weaving sensation of bliss and relaxation without pushing to far as she was careful each time they engaged in brief physical contact. It was oddly awakening for the woman. One of those few times for a short time she felt like any other girl at the club for the night dancing her cares away. The woman behind the mask almost forgetting just who she was for the briefest of times.
The heat of being in a crowd though made her skin lightly begin to glisten as the added heat on top of her normally high temperature caused her to sweat lightly as it began incredibly warm being so close to a small group. She almost lunged forward when she heard the creak and the woman fell backward. Nori's reactions and what all she'd seen from a young age taught her to react fast. Stopping shortly before grabbing the woman her hand gliding up and around the back of her head to cover up she'd lunged forward for the reason of catching the girl if she'd had too. Feeling a light blush as the lights bounced off her glistening skin and dark dress. Was she really so embarrassed? Was this how the normal day to day women got to go on spending their days. She licked her bottom lip briefly as it in many ways made her night that much better.
"Sorry bout that... But I could most definitely use a cold drink. I... Well feeling a bit heated. Mind if I accompany you maybe just the two of us would be nice for a few minutes to cool off together?" She'd ask casually raising a eye brow above her good eye. Her breathing not heavy pants but lightly heavy still to some degree. Letting out a honestly genuine smile towards Elene as she tried to hold back a light chuckle. Her finger briefly pointing down softly towards the heel she wasn't favoring. "Do you uh... Need a hand getting over to the bar?" Her small grin still ever so remaining upon her lips as she said so.

- are you holding your breath again? -
Lights dancing alongside the crowd made it ever so slightly harder for Elena to see the right way off of the dance-floor and back to the bar, not helped in the slightest that she couldn't stand on her tip-toes to peer over people without risking breaking her heel. Nori was alongside her, though, so even if it took them a few minutes more than it should have to maneuver their way out, it was with somebody she could giggle about it with rather than by herself. "I'm good! I've got my balance. Mostly. And these shoes are pretty cheap," she admitted without any embarrassment, flipping her hand about in a 'no big deal' manner, "I'm shocked they lasted this long to be honest."
When one didn't make a lot of money outside rent, "cute and cheap" was all you could hope for. Still, it had been a while since she'd danced long enough to break a shoe.
Too long, really. Hopefully this was the start to fixing that.
"Cold drinks are gonna melt in this crowd. Want to sneak outside with them?" Elena giggled as she finally broke through the wall of bodies to the slightly less crowded space between the dance floor and the bar, wobbling over to an unoccupied stool, but opting to lean herself on the bar rather than take a seat. "Shouchu melon cocktail please!" The bartender nodded at her order, beginning to mix up the bright green and quite refreshing beverage while Elena turned herself around, elbows propping her up against the bar as she began to catch her breath. Should Nori agree to sneaking the drink with them for a little breath of fresh air, she'd ordered something in a slim enough glass to smuggle it out behind her purse. Sure it was against the law to drink on the street, but they'd stay in the alley. And it wasn't like they were ditching.
She'd pay her tab as soon as the night was officially over, like a good girl would.
While waiting, Elena brushed her hair back from her face, keeping her eyes closed while she let a little air hit her hot forehead. The lights helped to hide the faint blue glow behind her left eyelid. She then quickly fixed her bangs back into place. "Whew, at this rate I'm going to be the one who melts. Hahah. Totalmente vale la pena."
