WORD COUNT; TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy Puppets were now idly walking the streets of the little makeshift town. Their movements baggy and strange, clearly not humanoid. It was, however, the best that they could offer on such a short notice. Everything had been prepared for the upcoming event. Ground Beta had successfully been established. Ground Beta was an enormous 1 by 1 kilometer large square with four entrances/exits. Within this square, a faux city had been created, modelled on popular locations from Tokyo, Musutafu and Osaka primarily. The faux city had four major areas, which sported slightly different building layouts. One area had primarily the rural influence. Houses were slightly larger at the base floor, more traditional in nature, with more spacing and open areas around each building. The buildings also weren't terribly tall, primarily one to three storied. The secondary area was a generic housing area you could find in the middle of the city. Several taller buildings, upwards of twelve stories, lay placed here. The housing was primarily rentable appartments. At the street level, ther were also a series of convenience stores and other shopping needs. The third area was an industrial area, filled with larger than average buildings, pipes and such things. Smoke seemed to rise from many of the silos. The main traffic here seemed to be large trucks. Finally, there was the entertainment area. Clubs, cafés, casinos, bars, bowling alley, laser-tag. Practically everything you'd desire when having a fantastic night out.
Populating these areas, were practically what one could expect. There was traffic, driving casually around the city. Taxis, trucks, pickups. It was clear that these fauxes weren't actual cars, as much as mash of paper on rails, but it looked reasonable enough. There were individuals walking the streets, exchanging good by stands and otherwise trying to appear like normal city-life. Granted, since they were puppets created by a quirk, they were very limited in function, but at least the city felt somewhat populated. It was within this little faux city, that the obstacle part of the competition would take place. Ningyo, being ever impartial, would ensure that neither teams gained an unfair advantage...
Scattered across the city as well, were strangely marked levers, positioned mainly by areas that seemed particularly trafficed. These levers took some time to activate, giving off an indication to the hero team of exactly where the lever was being activated from. Once activated the levers would be generating some kind of disaster. For instance, the lights could all switch to green, causing a massive pileup in the middle of the road. Scaffolding could begin falling down, severely hurting everyone caught underneath. In short, disasters on demand. Disaster levers. The competition would be fairly simple. One team would be pretend-heroes. The other team would be pretend-villains. The hero team would start with two-hundred points. If a villain managed to entirely escape the exercise, the heroes would lose fifty. In addition, each civillian hurt by the activation of a disaster lever, would deduct another five points. Once enough time had passed, or all the points had been deducted, the exercise would then swap the teams, meaning the hero team would become villains and vice versa.
In essence, heroes were meant to capture the villains while securing and ensuring the safety of civillians. The villains were meant to cause as much disaster as possible, while avoiding being caught. To catch a villain, all the hero team would have to do, was touch the villain and apply a captured mark onto their clothes. As such, standing your ground to fight as the villain may not be the smartest solution. From there, it was a judgement call. Would you prioritize escaping..? Would you feel more confident in causing some disasters, sealing away some of your opponent's points that way?... There were many ways to approach this, and it had Ningyo somewhat excited to see what the students may choose. Licking her lips joyously, she awaited the arrival of those that would go fourth.

Today is finally the day that Feng has been anxiously preparing for, the obstacle course event. She was hesitant to do this event as she saw the other events and felt she was more suited to those, but a friend back home kept telling her that she would be perfect for the event. After giving it a second glance of thought, she went ahead and signed up for the event. The event never left her mind as she was training to the best of her ability. Many thoughts were going through her head as she was arriving at the location of the event. What is this event about? What is the goal of the event? Is her quirk even useful or strong enough for an event like this? Who is even hosting this event? These thoughts plague her mind until she arrives at Ground Beta, the center stage for the main event.
Though she wondered what everyone else was doing, both her friends who she made before the festival started and her friends and family back at home. Are they watching with anticipation? Are they busy with work to even watch on TV? What are they thinking when they see her doing all of this? No matter, she hopes that they’re proud of what their daughter has become.
Looking at Ground Beta ,the mere scale of the city is enough to take ones breathe away, a full-scale city that is going to be the playground of all the people participating. This city makes that city used in that rescue lesson look like a children’s jungle gym. If this were an actual city, she would be walking around and checking out the various places to see what they offered. Though now’s not the time, this is still an event where multiple schools are participating so she must be on her sharpest. She saw the puppets walking the streets and wondered what their purpose is, but if its anything like the rescue lesson she took, they look like they are going to be the stands in to be civilians. Only question left is who else joined the event, UA has a lot of quirks and seeing new ones will be both a breath of fresh air and stop gap on her way to getting stronger. Though she hopes that they are easy to work with and not completely cold and uncooperative. She took a deep breath to collect her thoughts, “It’s showtime! ”, she says to herself to psyche herself up for the events to come. ----------------------------------------------------------- Fengs Stats: Quirk "Spring Loaded" Rank: E (Able to jump as high as 1 floor of a building) (Able to Jump the Length of two cars) (Able to be used in succession) Martial Arts Rank: F Increased Stamina Rank: F -----------------------------------------------------------

480 WC Costume Needs work... | Chimera had never seen anything quite like the scene laid out in front of him, nor had he ever once considered it feasible. UA had some pretty crazy training grounds, sure, but a nearly complete landscape complete with faux cars and civilians meandering about, just for the purpose of a two-v-two obstacle course? It was somewhat insane. Not in a bad way though. His hero gear was still quite simple--despite offers from his roommate the nights before the festival to "spice it up"; black running slacks, bare feet, finger-less gloves (his paws needs protection, but his claws did not), and a sleeveless black sports shirt. It was hardly a hero costume. Though the black fabric and the black paint on his horns stood out a lot more than usual against his fur.
Did he really need a fancy costume when he already looked like this?
At least I didn't let Yojin put metal spikes on it. I'd look like an idiot.
He spotted the person set to be his teammate and waved as he approached, standing in one of the large entryways into the grounds proper before they were announced. "Hey! Um, Chimera, class 1-B. You're Feng Yao, right?" He realized how stupid that question was given there was nobody else in the entry way and nobody else would be in the same entry way as him that wasn't his teammate. Killer introduction. Wow that was a red head of hair. "I'll be the first to say it? I kind of want to be the villain team first. Just. To know how fast those levers go off, and, uh, also because it just sounds like it'll be hilarious."
His voice was a bit higher-pitched from nerves than he would have liked, but could anyone really blame him? This was the very first event of its kind in the world. In history! And he was one of the few mutation Quirks being aired on live television for that whole wide world to see. How many would recognize him, he wondered, from Emi's video? How many wouldn't, but would look him up and see it afterwards? He was glad his real name wasn't out there.
Really, really glad.
Still, just like with the concert on day one, and as Feng said herself, it was showtime. Nerves had to be put aside and they needed to work together. What was her Quirk? She wasn't in his class, but no doubt while they made their first moves he could ask her. His was fairly obvious, but also very straight-forward. Speed and strength and claws for climbing. Nothing fancy.
Turning his body at the waist with one last stretch he gave Feng a wide, sharp smile. "Do you think we get bonus points if we throw in a big evil laugh?"
Now who would they be up against...

Feng did not realize until now it was a paired event. She always assumed it was a free for all but now that her partner has introduced himself, she felt a bit embarrassed to admit that she had no clue this was happening. So, she decides to roll with it and see how everything plays out. Not the best course of action but it’s something to say the least. Though on the upside, her partner is rather interesting, looked reliable but that voice pitch was somewhat surprising. It now leaves the question, if this event was a going to be heroes vs villains, who else is participating in this event and who are they going to be up against. Though with her current skill set, she hopes that the backdrop will help tip the scales in terms of battles. She hopes that the opponents they get are a bit different, that combat lesson back then gave her taste of what kind of people go here and hopes they aren't going all out in a fight. But what happens, happens one can say.
“I’m honestly fine with either but playing a villain would help in terms of knowing this place and what can we do…”, Feng carefully answers as she looks at the city and sees the many streets and various obstacles that can possibly be useful or a pain to deal with at the flick of the switch. Mixing in whoever their opponents are into the mix is going to be a coin toss. But however, she isn’t alone in this, so she hopes that her partner has her back. She continued to ponder on the possibilities of what is going to happen or what may happen as things like this turn out differently than expected.
Her partner seems nervous about this, could be the thing about this being aired on live TV and him being self-conscious about his quirk. She understands this feeling perfectly well and tries to think of a quick pick me up to cheer Chimera up. Though he seems to get over that quickly. She doesn’t know her partners quirk, but she’ll learn soon enough once the match starts. Should probably tell him about her quirk before the match starts so we at least know each other capabilities. But we'll know each other soon enough once the start has been announced.
“Not too sure actually, but I’ll join along if we get villains first...”, Feng says assuredly as she stretches her legs. As she finishes up her stretches, she takes a deep breathe to build up some energy for the battle to come. This match is going to be fun, she can feel it in her bones. Win or lose, this is going to be one of life’s many lessons to her. The stage is set and world is the audience, this is going to the event of the lifetime, so we gotta look and be good.
“You ready ?”, She asks as she gets ready for the event to start.

Before the show could begin, of course, the mirrored face of their team must first show themselves. Their opponents, their opposition. Set forth in meticulous ways to gain the nationwide respect of Japan from a sea away. At least, that’s how it was explained to Aiden. To represent his school was one thing. To be a cog in the clockwork of greatness was another. One felt so much more… parasitic. Contemplating this, he closed the thick, leather-bound book he wasn’t really reading and glanced over to his teammate. They were a sure pick for this tiny little competition – it was more of a casual demonstration of ability than anything of worth – but any chance to hone their abilities was a good thing. Aiden felt Carter’s firm hand clap onto his shoulder, an assertive reassurance to the stone-faced boy. The height difference between them was noticeable, Aiden standing a bit below 180 cm while Carter towered over him and the majority of the Japanese they’d met. They wore their uniforms, as was customary. White with red accents, the epitome of class. They wore the colours with pride, or something similar. As they stepped out into the open air, Aiden felt the sun glance off his subtly metallic skin. The breath of the wind would do nothing to the raging fire in his friend’s heart, but it chilled as it blew past Aiden, his icy gaze cutting the distance into ribbons as he locked eyes on their opponents. Two students of U.A. They wore what looked to be their own clothing, or suits, which made Aiden wonder if such things were allowed in a supposedly “balanced” competition. His waist felt the absence of his usual weapons as if those guns were the anchors keeping him to the earth. That, if anything at all, would be the hardest thing to cope with. Their opponents didn’t look at all intimidating. A short girl with very red hair and a tall, androgynous creature that looked like a mottled amalgamation of God’s poorest creations. A mutation quirk, obviously. Perhaps one that granted enhanced senses, or strength, or speed. Something physical. The girl was a wildcard. Nothing obvious appeared on her, thus it could be anything. Rather, it was definitely something worth worrying about. “Stay far back. The less they know of what we can do, the better.” He said in clear English. Ever the strategist, Aiden made his case for Carter to not introduce himself. Though if he did, it would simply mean he did it alone. Aiden made his way to where the starting point of the Course waited, eyeing the routes around the huge patchwork city while walking. There, he’d stand like a statue, mute and determined, until the competition began.

Aiden had made a great point. While Carter would have loved to tout his power and show off he knew that Aiden was a smart man If he exposed his powers now they would be at a distinct disadvantage. So instead he stayed quiet. It wasn’t really that hard for him. He was the strong silent type as it was, preferring to let his actions speak louder than his words. “Don’t worry Aiden.” He spoke back to him in English, his accent thicker and more northern than his counterpart. “Our victory is assured my friend. Look at them. They have no composure, barely any training.” He eyed the competition with his usually stern face. His classmates were taught Honor, Civility, and Responsibility all the thing these student’s seemed to lack. Carter ground his bare feet into the ground. He tested the soil and felt that it was loose and recently moved. The Japanese had went all out for this festival, even going as far as changing the terrain to better fit this festival. The fresh soil would be a great advantage for him, so much so that he almost cracked a smile. “What are your thoughts about them Aiden?” He whispered into his friends ear, having to bend down just to reach his head. “I do not see a challenge as they are now.”

WORD COUNT; TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy As the two sides made their appropriate introductions, a short woman approached them all. Placing herself in their center, in such an unassuming way that she wouldn't have been surprised if none of them had noticed her, she cleared her throat to garner their attention. First, Ningyo spoke in a elegant english, making sure their guests were accustomed to what would happen first. If they were having trouble understanding in English, Ningyo was also willing to explain in any of the scandinavian languages, or alternatively German. Afterwards, she would turn her attention to Feng and Chimera. "..Greetings and welcome to Ground Beta. You've received the general rules, but I would like to clarify a few things." As Ningyo was speaking, an unassuming puppet waddled over. His movements seemed to become sharper and sharper the closer he came to Ningyo, and the more her focus on him increased. The puppet bowed before them, as if introducing himself. Naturally, with how many puppets she had created, there wasn't a single way in hell that Ningyo could make the puppet actually speak. "These are my puppets, and they are scattered across the city. They've been imbued with basic tasks, such as crossing the road. However, among the puppets, there are certain ones you should be aware of." Another puppet waddled over, this one dressed in an outfit that was easily spotted in a crowd. A police uniform. At his belt, he had a gun. No, not a real gun. A faux gun. "These are to be understood as the general security of the city out there. These will engage any villainous behavior, additionally informing the heroes of where the villains are currently located. They fire high-velocity paintballs. They'll hurt, sting, and leave colored marks. Naturally, the more you as a villain get shot, the more points you'll lose.
The law-enforcement is the only thing you should reliably engage directly, without utilizing the levers. In this exercise, the puppets are not to be your focus. The other team is. Do your best to harass and capture." Ningyo lifted an arm and scratched her cheek, stretching ever so slightly. Keeping this many puppets active was a draining affair, even if she had the stamina to keep it going for quite an extended amount of time. "Other incidents with the populace may happen as well. Humans are unpredictable, so keep your eyes out. Now, in the four quadrants around us, there is one escape door in each quadrant. These will open after fifteen minutes, allowing the villains to escape." Looking between the two foreign students, Ningyo then continued, explaining what kind of situation they were finding themselves in."The scenario is as following. Two villains have stolen from a jewelry store, utilizing excessive force. Two heroes were in the area, and are responding to the crime. Civillians are caught in the crossfire. Heroes are judged on their response time, their ability to prevent excessive destruction of material, plus their ability to apprehend the criminals.
The criminals are judged on their ability to outwit the heroes, to utilize their surroundings to create timesinks for the heroes, plus their ability to cause general public unrest." Once Ningyo was done explaining in English, she'd turn to Feng and Chimera, repeating the explanation in Japanese so that everyone was on the same page. Lastly, she pointed to her own students. Chimera & Feng, flipping a coin into the air. One side was red with a joker-esque marking. The other seemed like a batman lookalike. Underneath each respective image was a small text. 'Villain - Hero.'"You two start as the hero team. Please pick a quadrant to start outside. Then I'll prepare the two foreign students to be the villains that will ruin your day."

468 WC Prolly want tall roofs | The pair of students from the other school arrived not too long after he had, and Chimera glanced at them from a distance. Hm. One built and bulky, one shorter and slimmer. It was like a trope in and of itself. However, Chimera knew better than to assume either of them had strengths reflected by their stature. He wasn't exactly a muscular person himself but he still was a lot stronger than an average person. Insanely so, to some degree. What these two might be capable of was yet to be seen. What he did manage to gleam in the short moments before the competition started was that they were...well...
Rude.
Chimera's long ears twitched as he made out very clearly what they were saying. They must have assumed English wasn't their native language, or at the very least that they were too far away to be heard. Regardless of that they weren't being very polite with their "secret" conversation. Well then, he should set one thing clear before they started. His lips parted in his toothiest of smiles, Chimera spoke in a voice loud--being a singer had its benefits--enough to carry over to Aiden and Carter with ease: "At least we have the decency not to badmouth the other team in a language we assume they don't speak."
Ningyo then appeared in the somewhat eerie way she often did of just sort of popping into being without a sound. Which for Chimera's enhanced hearing was really, really hard to do, so it made it all the more surprising when she spoke up to draw attention to herself. He blinked twice, fur bristled slightly, but otherwise didn't look too shocked. She was his teacher after all. This was sort of what she did and how she was like all the time. Just with clearer speaking.
It would be funny to see the visitors trying to decipher her ye olde English.
Alas.
The scenario and goal were simple enough. The heroes were to chase after and catch the villains while preventing them from causing harm to civilians, and the villains needed to outrun the heroes, avoid the law, and escape. He was a little bummed out that they were playing the heroes first, even if it was the role they were vying for in the real world. Ah well, he'd be able to demonstrate his evil laugh in the second round. He gave Ningyo a nod and polite "Yes sensei" as she gave them their first task. Hm. Where would be the best place to start.
Chimera looked down at Feng to confer. "I don't have too much of a preference. Does your Quirk do better with anything specific? Like higher buildings, wider streets...I'm pretty fast, but I can do that anywhere."

In the distance, Feng could see her teams’ opponents off in the distance. She can’t gauge them from looks alone, but they look like they’re going to give her team a hard time from how they’re built. Though she can’t help her partners long ears twitching, rather cute but she can’t say that when a competition is about to start, seems like the pair said something. She wonders what the other team said but then her partner suddenly shouted in English about the duo on the other team is badmouthing both of us. Rude, to say the least since they assumed that Japanese was our only language. She wonders why there are so many people like this, but she’ll give it some thought later as she wanted to say something else as well to make sure she shares the same sentiment as her partner. Feng took a deep breath and followed up her partners remark in clear English.
“A bit rude to badmouth the both of us when the match hasn’t even started!” She yelled out loud in English. Though it does surprise her that her partner also knows English, could help in this match given his quirk and his confidence in himself. Helps boost the confidence with him here.
Suddenly, Ningyo appeared out of nowhere which surprised and scared Feng. Many thoughts like “How did she get there?”, “How did she do that?”, “Why is she speaking like that?”, and so on. She noticed that her partner was also taken aback which surprised her given his sensitive hearing and how he heard from the other team’s conversation from afar. Just goes to show how wide the gap is between Feng and being a pro hero. She listened to the instructions intently as she could clearly understand what she is explaining. Though it does help she explained to her and chimera twice, helps with understanding the kind of match this is going to be.
The goals set in stone were clear and simple enough. If hero, take down the villain as quickly as possible and prevent any casualties. If villain, raise hell and try not to get hit by both police and heroes for maximum points. Due to the coin toss, her team got heroes which is both great and terrible at the same time. She wanted to get villains first to see what the other teams quirks are like first hand but beggars can’t be choosers one can say. Though her partners reaction to getting heroes first could also mean he wanted villain as well, and he looked so excited to do something with his looks. Kind of adorable really, but to the point looks like her team’s going to play cops in this cops and robbers match. Feng saluted and said “Yes sensei!” as she gave her team their tasks. Though Ms. Ningyo gave us the choice of choosing are starting area which is a bit hard to do. With no clue on what the enemy team can do, if they place ourselves too far, heroes lose points in the down time it takes to get there. If they are too close, enemy team can knock them down if they have the right quirks and heroes lose points. Just got to think ahead and put her trust in Chimera on what he can do to help her
He looked down at Feng to speak to her and asks a question politely. She thought about it and answered properly without sounding too cocky about the whole setting.
“This entire arena is built to my advantage with all of these buildings. My quirk lets me store and release energy from my legs, so its up my alley. But I trust in your abilities to back me up once the match starts since there's only so much I can do. Let’s take em down hard !” Feng quietly says to Chimera as she puffs her chest out. The duo walk to the quadrant that is densely packed with buildings.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Summary of what Feng did:
-Feng follows up Chimera’s statement to the opposing team and quietly talks with him about the battle plan. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Aiden was neither bothered nor interested in the feelings of his opponents, standing aside Carter as they were given their instructions.
And so the heroes of the day wandered to the Residential District. Or rather, a crude mock-up of what would be a residential district. Something that caught Aiden's eye was the horrible lack of detail on the buildings when one approaches up close. They're all slapdash half-plaster monstrosities lacking sophistication. Though the massive scale of Ground Beta was certainly something to behold, it was neither here nor there if the heart was not in the construction. Aiden made a mental note on how shabby the building quality was as he and Carter his partner-in-crime were assigned outside a gaudy 'jewellery store'. Immediately inside said store - which had no place in a residential district, but whatever - were wooden stands with fake jewellery sitting in thin glass boxes. They were to be the trigger, it seemed, that would set their enemy heroes and the police dolls of the city into motion. Aiden wasted no time.
"Carter. I'll handle the theft. When it begins, I'll throw you a light jewel and begin running out the back of the shop. I'll rely on you to keep their attention for a few seconds and then make your way in the opposite direction. We need to split them up if we wish to maximise our destruction. If you see any of these disaster levers, pull them right away. There's none of this street - I think they'll be rarer here." He gestured to the faint sprinkling of civilian dolls plodding up and down the residential streets. "And take out as many civilians as you can. If they lose so many points in the opening minutes, they'll likely panic."
With the plan laid out with lightning speed, Aiden dashed into the shop. He leaned over the glass, inspecting them. On each piece, there was a small tag with a number on it ranging from 5 for rings and 80 for a comically oversized pearl necklace that probably weighed 50 kilos. Where these... Points? Indeed, if the villains managed to escape with any of these on their person, they would add to the points the heroes lost! How interesting. With barely enough time for the Heroes to get ready a street corner away, Aiden smashed into a box, grabbing two false ruby necklaces, valued at 10 points each. He tossed one through the jewellery shop window to his accomplice just as the squeal of the alarm burst out over the city, bringing the event to life.
Aiden strode through the shop and out a doorless back-entrance, shoving a pathetic doll aside as he darted straight for an escape route. He had a head-start on everyone and his skin shimmered triumphantly before it even began. He'd be the one to succeed if Carter couldn't. The "heroes" of U.A met their match today.

Aiden explained the simple plan as the two made their way to the insertion point. It was easy enough, let Aiden do the fancy work and the running. Carter would be the distraction. Simple, not only simple but the way he liked it. While they seemed untrained he was interested in testing his might against the opposing team. It wouldn’t be as fun if he simply ran away.
As Aiden sauntered into the jewelry store Carter made himself comfortable. He unbuttoned his coat and slipped it off his shoulder, revealing his massive frame and expertly sculpted muscles. Some might assume he disrobed to stop from restricting his movement, but the truth was that Carter like to show off his strength.
After tossing the coat aside he took a moment to take off his shoes, throwing them aside one by one. As his feet touched the ground he felt a connection. This was how he was meant to live, with a connection between himself and the pure raw earth. He felt the earth deep beneath his feet and let slip an ounce of power. The earth about a meter around him shifted slightly, ebbing like a ripple on a pond.
With that done he waited for Aiden to start. He would face his opponents head on instead of running. Invoking the wrath of the earth to dole out collateral damage like so much candy. It would be fun to flex his strength.
The bells began to ring and Aiden ran out of the store. He quickly tossed him a jeweled necklace and bolted off into the fake city. Carter stood his ground and kept an out out for his opponents. His plan was simple. If he saw them he would fight them. If they didn't come for him he would start harming civilians and searching for levers to pull.

553 WC Fuzziest of all tanks | Without any particular preference between the two of them in terms of starting location, Chimera simply asked for Ningyo to put them in the third quadrant, "C", because he was funny like that. Then without further ado the match began. Stationed outside what appeared to be a number of small shops with apartments above them--it looked something like the shopping district in Musutafu, right on the line between the heart of the city and the suburbs--he walked through the paper dolls and strange buildings. Everything was lacking just enough detail to unnerve the eye. No faces on the dolls, no wording on signs, no real wares for sale, no noises of footsteps...the uncanny valley was a play Ninhyo thrived, apparently. Still, he kept his ears tuned for the sounds that weren't missing from their living, human targets. Breathing, footsteps, voices. Any of those would be a lot easier to pin-point in a crowd of dolls.
"I'm fast and strong," Chimera took the chance to speak to Feng as they went through the streets, "So if we see the bigger guy, let me have a shot at him? I can probably heft him and pin him and he won't even expect it." He grinned, adrenaline making the expression somehow both weaker and more manic.
Ah, and there it was.
Off in the distance, loud and clear, the alarms of a shop began to blare. In an instant the paper cops began to hustle to their paper cars, and Chimera dug his claws into the dirt below them, head turned sharply in the direction of the noise like a hunting dog. "This way!" he barked, and took off as fast as he could; not as fast as the fake cars, but enough to keep them only somewhat ahead of him as he ran. Feng could keep pace her own way, right?
He'd come to believe that everyone at U.A had their Quirk and their skills figured out. He didn't need to worry about them and he couldn't afford for them to worry about him, either. Couldn't be so weak as to need anyone's help...
...
He rounded the final corner to reach the street the alarm was coming from. Standing there without his coat--or shoes, huh, that must have to do with his Quirk, but how?--was the larger of the two students, but the other was nowhere in sight. The alarm was too loud to hear for any footsteps either. Was he going to gun for the exit while they were preoccupied with his teammate? How much had he taken, and how much damage could he do by himself if he was left alone? Did they try to 2 v 1 him and risk the other's escape or worse?
Chimera swallowed, lowered himself into a crouch, and lunged at his full speed towards Carter. Without a barrier or a fast enough dodge, he'd be hit with all of Chimera's strength trying to topple him to the ground as fast as he could. There wasn't time to think about a plan with one of them missing, and he couldn't afford to play "safe" right now and wait to see what Carter's Quirk was.
And he could lift up to four hundred kilograms. He could tank one big guy.
Easy.
Right?

[Chimera Charges]
TL;DR: After briefly asking Feng to let him take on Carter, Chimera ran at full speed (D rank) to the crime scene. Upon arrival he has charged Carter with the same speed, aiming to tackle and 'cuff him using strength (E rank) alone.

As Feng talks with Chimera about the game plan, she gets the feeling that Chimera wants to have a one-on-one against the larger of the two opponents. The duo walked through the streets as paper dolls walked around to simulate a bustling city. Though it was bland considering an actual city is louder and so on. Still, this is going to be a fun match, no doubt about it. The peace was soon interrupted as alarms can be heard off in the distance and with that, the game is on and it seems the enemy team got a head start on them in terms of getting something done. Her partner ran full speed ahead and Feng quickly followed. Many thoughts are going through her head as she wonders what the enemy team’s capabilities are. A one on one is the least viable situation but with how everything is set up, there little choice on what to do against that. But knowing how something like this goes, that means that whoever triggered that alarm is only using it as a diversion. Question is who is doing what and what can they do exactly? But no time to think now as her teammate is now near the source of alarm and ready to throw down.
Feng in a split-second decision, inhales and use her quirk in rapid succession to wall jump up the walls near the source and catches a glimpse of a figure making a run for it with many jewels in hand. Its now or never and it seems her teammate is already going in, so she might as well follow suit as well. She is running and jumping from rooftop to rooftop at full speed to catch up to the assailant. There’s no time to think or even think of a battle plan, everything she needs to do has to be done on the fly as anything can happen in this situation. Feng controls and steadies her breathing as she runs and hops in between the buildings as she keeps her eyes on the assailant. She sees a wide street ahead of her and she takes the chance to jump higher and land in front of the assailant, and what it seems she was matched smaller one of the two. But he must be hiding something to make up for it, but whatever it is she has to captalize in the moment with everything shes got !
“What’s the rush? “Feng says as she goes in for a upwards palm strike aimed at the opponent’s chin followed with a spring-loaded kick. Hopefully it will knock back the opponent, but knowing how the world works, that isn’t going to slide so easily.
[Feng goes into the heat of battle]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Summary of what Feng did:
Talks with Chimera about what to do
As partner gets to crime scene, she uses her quirk to wall up to get a view on what’s going
See’s and goes after the other assailant with zero hesitation
Catches up and makes the first move with a upwards palm strike and a kick that will hopefully catch the opponent off guard and drop whatever jewels they got.
