9:42am, UA High, locker rooms, Chinese side. Twenty minutes before the start of the first round of the Cross School Competition, UA VS Fenghuang.
Six students from the Chinese delegation awaited their chance to prove themselves on the big stage. Such a thing was new to Fenghuang students, yet one could be forgiven for not thinking that upon seeing them. They were simply sitting side-by-side on a bench, in full hero regalia, the only sound besides Ren’s voice being the low humming of Huang’s engine. No teachers were present; it was Fenghuang’s policy that the students elected their own leaders and organized their own battle plans.
“... And so that concludes the tactical part of our briefing. You all know your roles and responsibilities. Are there any questions?”
Silence, or near-silence.
“Good. Then let’s proceed to individual instructions. Huang,” began the bluenette, his eyes cold as ever behind the visor as he stepped in front of him. His tone was even. “Perform like you do during training and there won’t be a problem. Remember to stay within earshot of one of us and don’t get separated from the rest of the group.” Huang nodded. Then came Cheng. Ren’s voice turned more disdainful. “That goes for you as well. I’ve seen you play with that American girl and the tall boy. Don’t go out of your way to fight them, stick to the plan.” “You got it, chief,” answered Cheng cheerfully. Ren shot him a dark look, but he had earned his place in the delegation. He would perform; he knew he had to if he wanted to make his dream come true.
Next were the melee experts. “Jin, Zhao, you know your game plan. Don’t let them get close to Cheng, Fan or me, and work with Huang. You guys will be responsible for steering him. If we get separated, your first priority is to group up with one of us and act as a pair. Is that clear?” They both nodded in agreement. Last but not least, Fan Lang, the latest member to make it into the delegation, a luna moth mutation girl. Ren opened his mouth, but she sprang from her seat and spoke first. “Hai, count on me Ren! I’ll be running healing duty all around!! You can rest easy, guys!”
He stared back through his visor. “Let your elders speak. Yes, you need to run healing duty, but don’t put yourself in unnecessary danger. Each member of this delegation is equally crucial to our success in this competition. I will not have you get captured easily. Remember, your place here is heavily contested.” His cold tone and colder logic put her back in her seat, sheepishly nodding and apologizing. “Yes… I will do my best, I promise!!”
“Good, he answered. I expect no less from any of you.”
Five minutes were left before the start of the competition, in which Ren let each member of his team psych themselves up for in whichever way they wished. Cheng put on his headphones and a diss track while spinning one of his grenades on his finger. Jin stretched; Zhao meditated while humming a tune. Huang filled up on gasoline, brake fluid and antifreeze and waited patiently. Fan paced nervously around the room, muttering to herself.
All of them were dressed in the Fenghuang uniform, plain olive drab pants and shirts resembling those of the Chinese military, though each was fitted with unique equipment. Ren had his tinted-blue visor and the backplate which served to house his computer; Cheng was strapped with a harness and various pouches holding an impressive variety of grenades, all ball-shaped and the size of a baseball, except for three basketball-sized ones clinging to a magnetic plate on his back. Lan Fang was similarly strapped with medicine and the uniform was cut to allow the wings sprouting from her back to spread. Zhang had his weapons -- blunted versions, and Jin and Huang were the one with the plainest uniforms, with only a set of leg and arm graces for the martial artist and two fuel tanks attached to his belt for the car mutation boy.
One minute. In one minute, their fight against UA would begin. ooc: welcome to your event finale! Here is a reminder of the rules. I assume you will all have read this entire OOC carefully, “I didn’t know” will NOT be a receivable excuse!- 48h posting timers will be strictly enforced, if you need an extension, ask in advance. Past 48h you will be skipped, and it will have consequences! On the first offense your character will take a free hit, and on the second offense, they will be captured! - The first round will be an introduction round where you can discuss in the locker room. Starting from my next post, the thread will last for 8 rounds (there will be a count on each of my posts). At the end of the 8 rounds, the team with the most captured enemies will win. A draw is also possible! - Strictly no crippling or maiming, period -- this is not the stage to do so. Think of the IC consequences for the school. - An ooc summary of your actions at the end of your post is mandatory. I’ll be nice if you forget once or twice, but repeated failure to do so will carry the same penalties as being late! It will make it much easier for everyone to answer what will likely be five big posts each round. - And most importantly: Have fun! We’re here to write cool stories together. Don’t think of the GM as an opponent, think of him as a writing partner here to help you make your character shine! In the spoiler below you will find visuals of the arena, as well as a map drawn by our very own Risaka! The buildings in pink can be entered -- they are empty warehouses -- but the ones in purple can’t. UA starts in the blue square, Fenghuang in the red one. Feel free to use those to clarify your position! Below are the abilities for the Fenghuang students. As you can see, they are roughly similar to yours to make for a fair fight! Good luck! You can find more detailed descriptions of their personalities, as well as their FC here.

Post by Kyla Casey on Feb 18, 2019 17:34:24 GMT -4
You leave me here wondering if I'll ever know How much you care, or how much you don't If you're going to be somebody's last time, baby be mine. “ The time had finally come and Kyla was a bit nervous. She hasn't been in a legitimate school competition before, but she had some experience fighting. She had no real information on her opponents and could only really rely on the things she was taught when she trained with her master back in the day. And as for the people she was teamed up with? Kyla only really knew one of them. Her friend Nyke was on her side, which served to calm the girl down a bit. As for the reason, Kyla didn't really know much about them. She hoped that they could give her a quick rundown of what they could do and what they needed to be covered in terms of fighting. It would help to serve as a way to figure out a strategy for the upcoming fight. And while they didn't have a whole lot of information, they did have one advantage, numbers. Kya's quirk was a mutation that granted her a Nasod Core and various Nasod nodes on her body. With them, she could do a variety of things to help her in combat. And one of those things was controlling Nasods. Thankfully, with the robotic's club, she was able to develop one such Nasod. it was going to be his first run at true combat and Kyla was excited to see how he would do. Oberon was a close quarter combat Nasod that Kyla had with her. It was mostly designed to serve as her guard since she was more accustomed to fighting at longer distances. Because of this, Oberon was only really effective when he was close to heer, so using the Nasod as a scout was out of the question. It was something she was going to have to make clear right away when she met with the others. Right now, she was in the locker room changing for the battle at hand. Oberon was waiting outside between the girl's and boy's locker room for everyone to arrive. The Nasod was essentially the rallying point for when everyone was ready. As for Kyla, changing was actually really simple for her. She removed her school uniform and hung it in the locker neatly for once she was done. As for what she was going to wear for the fight, technically it was nothing at all. Her underwear and undershirt were going to serve as her only physical clothing. But, thanks to her Nasod Core, she could project her hero costume on her body around herself. It served no purpose combat wise, but it essentially allowed her to change her clothes by projecting a hologram of those clothes around herself. It was useful for her. To start things off, she would project her Code: Electra costume. It was the one she used when she was going to focus on her Nasod Fields ability. Considering she as going to start from long range combat, this was likely the best option, to begin with. Once it was projected, the girl stepped in front of the mirror on the locker door to make sure everything was showing correctly. She didn't need a wardrobe malfunction in the middle of the event. And once she did, Kyla took a deep breath. She'd put on a smile and confidence face if she was capable, but facial expressions were outside of the range of capabilities. And as for her core, it was pink at the moment, revealing her true feelings of nervousness and embarrassment. But, she had to make her way forward standing tall no matter what. So she shut her locker and left out of the locker room to meet with her teammates in the hall between the boy's and girl's sides. This was where they had the last chance to talk with each other and put a plan together. their match was coming up and they had to all do their best. So if no one else did it first once everyone was together, Kyla would start things off with a raise of her hand to catch the attention of the others. "Umm..I' Kyla Casey, class 1-B." She stopped and moved her hand toward Oberon, presenting him as the machine took a short bow. "And this is my Nasod Gaurd, Oberon. He'll serve as my personal protection on the battlefield. I'm more the long range type of fighter and information gatherer. I can fly for a short time and set up a reconnaissance node if we find a key chokepoint." She took a deep breath before speaking again. "I don't know what the other school can do, but As long as we are honest about what we can and can't do, I'm sure we can fill each other's weak points." Hopefully, they had a nice balanced team that could handle what the other school had to throw at them. ” notes -Dressed using Light Projection and introduced Oberon and herself to teammates. Hopes others do the same. -Abilities: Nasod Spears - E, Computer Engineering - F, Light Projection - F, Ophelia, the Nasod Maid - F, Nasod Fields - E, Nasod Transmitters - E, Energetic Heart - F, Oberon, the Nasod Butler - F

Post by Jasmine Noir on Feb 20, 2019 5:29:54 GMT -4
She felt great. Honestly if you'd asked Jasmine wouldn't be able to remember the last time she felt this good overall. She'd had enough sleep, managed to get a good training session in after waking up, had an utterly delicious breakfast courtesy of no one else but Rinkusu Kurama, her little raven, after which they managed to sneak in some... let's just say alone time. A shared shower and coffee later and the blonde American was very literally hyped for what was about to come next. Just as she was about to go out the door, she heard four more words that were like the icing on the cake. "Kick some ass, love." As such decreed, ass she would kick. Yet before heading over to the locker rooms (she had already changed into her battle gear so there wasn't much point in going there) Jasmine went to the training area one more time. There was a little problem; the girl had too much pent up aggression and excitement. She was worried she may do something irreversibly stupid if she went there now and because of this she needed to vent some steam. First thing she did? Find the heaviest sand bag and punch the everliving shit out of it. One hit. Two. Three. Then a kick, an elbow, and finally a roundhouse kick saw to it that the chain holding the bag hissed and creaked before breaking apart, sending the bag flying across the training room and into a wall. While she set up another bag in her mind Jasmine Noir pondered over the event that was about to take place. She really didn't know much even about her teammates, let alone the enemy school that they'd be facing in the event. Jasmine herself had quite the offensive powerhouse of a quirk: the ability to generate explosions from any part of her body at varying degrees, speeds, and levels of destruction. Jasmine's control over her quirk had always been a problem; weak would become strong, and strong utterly uncontrollable. It was one of those abilities that kept collateral to a maximum and fuck you for wanting it otherwise. Yet as time went on and Jasmine trained every day like it was her last, she had achieved a never before seen level of control over C2N14x. Not only can she now release it from any part of her body, she could fully control the scale and even form of her attacks (if her controlled 'finger gun' explosions were any indication). Recently she had went past even that, being able to create timed explosions. Heck, she went even past that in recent days. C2N14x is an extremely volatile compound that, under normal circumstances, undergoes a chemical reaction the second it leaves the confines of the American's skin and as a result gives enough of an 'oompf' to make the 4th of July look cute. Yet the recent realization that Jasmine can subconsciously 'control' how volatile the molecules of her compound are had opened a variety of new opportunities for her. One of those opportunities was a minefield, and she was one-hundred-and-ten percent sure she would be able to utilize this ability in this exact event. Hopping in place, Jasmine stared at the punching bag in front of her. Immediately she opened up with an extremely quick series of punches. One after another her knuckles battered the punching bag with such force that it eventually tore through the fabric, ripping the bag in half. Stopping herself, the blonde lioness took a step back to admire her work as she wiped some sweat away from her forehead. Warm-up complete and about five or so punching bags destroyed. All in a day's work, I guess. It didn't take her long to reach the meeting point of their team, at which point the American laid her eyes on some weird looking robot that made her quirk a brow. Oh. He's the girl's... partner? Huh. "Jasmine Noir, 1-A," she spoke up after Kyla, offering a lazy salute as she did so, "mid-to-close range, can do lots of stuff but the simple explanation is that I blow shit up." There really was no point in trying to sugarcoat it. Jasmine was the heavy hitter and she worked best out in the front line. Relevant TL;DR: -Jasmine arrived, explained that she blows shit up. -You're welcome
Low-key inserting Jasmine's theme in this PvP tourney:

| Luka Quirk: Infernal Slime Hero Name: Genesis | |
Luka wasn't really sure what he was in for here, U.A. hadn't been what he'd been expecting and he'd basically been so focused on catching up with everyone else that it turned him into a recluse. Not cool, not cool at all, but what else could he do? He was a little nervous, this was his first time doing something so big like this, and participating in combat outside of classes. Despite the turbulence of the previous year, things had been quiet in his life recently, which he supposed was a good thing. And really, above all other concerns, Luka was here to do his absolute best and prove to everyone that he was capable of being a hero, even if he looked small and 'cute'. He wasn't going to let his looks hold him back from kicking ass!He knew he was stronger than he looked, stronger than his age might suggest, and while he hadn’t nearly begun to catch up to his classmates, Luka knew he was more than capable of doing so with enough effort, and today was his chance to show that to anyone watching, to those he cared about, and perhaps most importantly, to himself. He was sick of feeling helpless, so very tired of being on the back bench while terrible things happened to those he cared about. His mother, father, and sister… he had not been able to do anything to help any of them, and now he only had two of them left. Who would he lose next time? If something happened to his mother or sister again, he’d never forgive himself for not trying to protect them. Even if Elise didn’t think she needed protecting. The teen took a few deep breaths as he considered himself. His quirk was versatile, and if he just used his head it had the potential to be quite powerful. Sure, he was ‘just’ a slime, but the sheer versatility that his mutation allowed would be a useful factor in this competition. Surely their opponents wouldn’t be expecting what would be coming for them. With that in mind, he made sure he had a hearty German breakfast, lots of heavy foods and drink as he prepared for his day. Unlike most, Luka’s digestive system functioned rapidly, and the consumption of food and drink didn’t quite work the same way for him. Instead of simply converting into energy, it also added to his mass, and replaced any lost slime, his body turning the food into new slime. He couldn’t really overload himself for long, but a big breakfast to give himself a little extra mass had a decent chance of being useful. He’d just have to make his internal structure a bit denser than usual to account for the change. With that done, the young boy headed down to prepare for his event, limbering up in a way that was purely mental (his physical form naturally more flexible than any could hope to be while they still had a skeleton), he wasn’t sure when the rest of his team would be gathering, but he’d rather be early than late. Luka's time in the locker room was brief, simply changing in preparation for what was to come, spending a few minutes staring into the mirror to psych himself up for the competition and really menttally prepare himself. It wasn't easy, but soon enough he felt confident enough to go out there. Dressed in his current combat outfit, Luka emerged to find the other students that formed his team in this competition, the German youth noticing a trio of figures waiting nearby. He wasted little time heading over to them, nodding in greeting. “Hallo, I’m Luka from 1A,” he said, focusing on the girl he was sure was in his class, but he hadn’t really met. “I’m pretty fast and sturdy, I can be stealthy in the right environment, oh and I’m a slime. I dunno if you’ve met my sister Elise, but if you have, you’d know what that is like.” Sometimes it was easier to just use the older von Eisenberg as an example rather than go into details with his quirk. “I don’t have the same sort of limitations as her though, and can’t heal things. I can be anything from close to long range I guess, since I can extend myself a fair distance.” He tapped a finger to his chin for a few moments before shrugging “finding a place to trap them in would be useful, especially if I stay hidden until it’s time to spring the trap. I’m willing to follow whatever plan everyone agrees to though.” He wasn’t particularly experienced after all, so he’d be content following the plans of those who had been at U.A. longer and participated in difficult situations more often. It would be a good learning experience for him. SUMMARY: - Luka thinks about life - Is filled with DETERMINATION - Has a big breakfast to get ready, converts that food into extra slime mass - Gets into costume - Introduces himself to the others, and explains a bit about his quirk - Happy to follow group plan

Post by Nyke Nora on Feb 21, 2019 8:28:06 GMT -4
Demon Machine i no longer fear ending my hell Nyke was now about to take part in one of the main events at the sports festival. She was going to be a part of the school competition with another one. It was going to be her first time doing something like that. In her former schools Nyke never really took part in anything that was like this. Sporting events and just social gatherings, in general, were never a part of the things she was interested in. Most of her time was spent with her father. Nyke had seen the inside of boardrooms more than school athletic fields. But UA was different. This was the school she was to become a hero in and both Nyke and her father wanted to try and become better at it. This meant taking part in something she would have completely ignored before. And Nyke was absolutely sure that if she did her, her father would use what he could to further his company's brand. He wanted her to be the face of it after all. Nyke, on the other hand, was just interested in the hero aspect. She wanted to help others and prove that she could do something without being told to do so. Escaping under his weight in a way. She had an eventful time at the festival so far, most of it was spent with one of her teammate, Kyla Casey. But the rest she didn't know at all, aside from Jasmine. Nyke wasn't sociable. She barely even spoke and enjoyed her time alone. It wasn't unexpected for her to be completed disconnected from the school as a whole. As for Jasmine, Nyke remembered her from a brief physical education class at the beginning of the year. Something to do with volleyball with two other students. A lot had changed since then and the school had many more people attending it. She was interested in seeing how she fair against the other schools as well. UA might have been the first, but was it the best? It was time to find out. First things first, however. She needed to get ready for the battle. Her hero costume was actually pretty simple, but she liked how it was designed. A sleeveless hoodie, shorts, stocking and some sturdy shoes. It wasn't much in terms of protection, but Nyke wasn't lacking in that regard. It didn't take her long to change and she did so quietly. In fact, without looking in her direction at all, it was probably hard to tell she was even there. But once she was changed she came out into the hall with the rest of them. How Nyke felt about the event was the same as just about everything else. She was curious, a little frightened, and a bit confused. It was all new to her after all. It was the same with anything else she had never done before. Nyke had a familiar face around so that helped out a lot. Having someone she knew and was familiar with made her feel more comfortable. And to add to that, Oberon was here as well. It was one of the things her club helped to create, so Nyke felt a little proud of it. Compared to other robots, however, Oberon was different. Being a Nasod meant that the code was entirely of Kyla's creation thanks to her quirk. So there was still an air of mystery despite taking part in the machine's creation. Without a word, she walked up to the Nasod and started to inspect him, making sure he was fit for duty. Nyke was sure Kyla had done so already, but Nyke also wanted to make sure he was okay. "Sturdy.."Her words were sudden and quiet. And while it was easy to assume that she was talking about Oberon, she was actually talking about herself. Her tail moved a bit as stood up from her squat and faced those that showed up. She was a sturdy girl, despite clearly being the smallest one there. But Nyke was a little tank. And with her mutation, she could encase her arms and tail in a special metal with unique properties. It was this that she was going to use to help the others fight. @tag | 707 words | Checked Oberon and Intro Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ

Akio sat in the boys locker room, looking down at the ground, it was time for the Cross School tournament and he was ready for this. He just dressed in his standard gym uniform and looked at himself in the mirror I really need to talk to someone about my hero costume..... he thought to himself as he closed his locker and headed to meet the rest of his group, ducking under the doorway so he wouldn't hit his head, it was annoying being 2m tall sometimes. As he made his way towards his group thoughts started flashing through his mind. Thoughts of his defeat at the hands of that villain and how she'd almost killed him, he started having doubts about himself and his abilities for a second, but then smacked himself to bring himself back to his senses Stop thinking like that, I've trained since then, I've improved, I'm stronger, plus this is a school event, it's not like I'm going to be beaten within an inch of my life, I'll be fine he thought to himself, giving himself another quick smack to hype himself up and then walked to his group. He saw a few of the members of his team standing around as he approached and he only recognized one I guess I'm going to be meeting a lot of new people today he thought to himself as he approached the group "Hey guys, I'm Akio Class 1-C, my quirk allows me to control the temperature of things I touch, although I'm not able to use it directly on living beings, if I'm touching their clothes or any other kind of inanimate object it's not problem, but I won't be able to like, grab their arms and burn then or anything like that, I do know how to hold my own in a fight though so I won't be completely useless," he told them, he properly examined everyone that he was working with and was glad that Jaz was with them, he'd heard what she could do so it gave him hope "Oh I also have a very basic knowledge of first aid but the most serious thing I know how to deal with would probably be like, a sprain or something and my quirk proves useful with things like burns, so I can deal with those if that happens to come up," he said, he then turned to look at Jaz "I guess we'll be fighting against those 2 guys we played ball against right blondie? So I guess let's see if they can fight as well as they play," he said to her ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Summary: -Cursed himself for not having a hero outfit -Smacked himself for doubting himself -Introduced himself and explained his quirk to the group -Had a quick chat with Jaz

Meara was running late, yet again, to something important. She hurriedly ran into the dressing rooms and threw on her basic school training uniform before running out to the waiting area where the rest of her squad was waiting. “Hey everyone! Sorry I’m late! I went to the wrong combat area.” She said as she ran up to them. She was kicking herself for being late, she seriously needed to get ahold of reading Kanji so she didn’t mix places up anymore.
She shook her head as she rid her thoughts of that and refocused her mind to the task at hand. They were going up against another school and everyone was going to have to work together and be at their best if they wanted to win the day. “Anyways my name is Meara O’Connor from class 1-A, it’s nice to meet you all.” She said politely, bowing slightly. “My quirk is more suited for mid range combat. So if anyone gets within about 10m I got them.” She said as she quickly described her quirk. She turned to Jasmine after noticing the blonde was also there. “Oh shit we have you on our team Jaz? Then there’s no way we’re gonna lose!” She said to the other girl, holding her hand out for a fist pump. Her tone was a lighthearted one, knowing that simply having Jaz on their side didn’t guarantee anything. But it was nice to know that they had a heavy hitter. “Well guys, let’s kick their arses and show them who the top hero school is!” She said as she cracked her knuckles. Her Nanites surging with matching excitement inside her body.
Notes: Meara was feeling embarrassed that she was late, but now that she sees that everyone else seemed to be calm and collected she’s focused on the task at hand. Meara also informed whoever was making a plan that she would be best suited as a midrange fighter.
Abilities: Nanosuit E rank Gymnastics F rank.

10 AM. The beginning of the UA High School Sport Festival’s Cross School Competition, a challenge between teams of Yuuei students and a team from a foreign school. The Valiant Institute of Unusual Potential VS UA match would start shortly. In both locker rooms, a television screen appeared from behind a wall. It came on to display the face of the school principal, Kobayashi Touma, who was talking from a commentator’s box installed on top of a tower overlooking the arena where he had a good view of what was going on. Next to him sat Geist-sensei, in full hero regalia as usual, who waved at the camera in unison with his shadow behinf him. People watching at home would see it as well. “Good morning, students.” English subtitles would be displayed for Valiant. “My name is Kobayashi Touma, school principal of Yuuei High. I welcome you all to this Cross School Competition exercise. As you might already know, the rules are simple: you must capture students from the other team and bring them to your cage, and keep them here. Captured participants must be touched by a teammate in order to escape, and are prohibited from intervening while behind bars. Kurosawa-sensei and myself will be watching over you and providing commentary which we encourage you to review after the match.” The room was also connected to the TV cameras, embedded all around the arena to let the spectators follow the fight wherever it happened, from every angle. There were no physical stands around, for obvious safety reasons; maintaining the same walls as in the PvP tournament would be too taxing. In the tower with him were a squad of professional heroes on standby to interrupt the fight in case it went too far, a division of firefighters waiting below and a fully-equipped ER room with surgeons and rescue heroes ready to intervene if worst came to worse. The broadcast didn’t really focus of that, for obvious reasons. In all likelihood, anyway, the squad of professionals would intervene first. They were professional rescue and combat heroes, some of the best in the business. Everything had been prepared to ensure a safe competitive exercise for everyone. “We hope every participant will give it their all and make their school proud,” continued the principal in an even tone. “Now, without further ado…” “LET’S KICK THINGS OFF, BABY!” shouted Geist-sensei, overtaking the mic. On the broadcast, the cameras panned out to reveal the walls of the locker rooms falling apart. The room opened itself up like boxes on each team’s starting point. There was no time to be surprised; a loud buzzer announced the beginning of the exercise. --- Ren’s reaction was simply to readjust his visor. “Seems their sense for flair applies to everything. Let’s move out, then, everyone.” The first one to do so was Huang Lang. His engine revved as he gained speed, getting louder and louder until he reached his top speed. It slowed down when he slowed down himself for corners, the rubber tires of his specially made combat boots screeching like tires as the brake discs inside his body clenched. With his impressive speed, Huang went down the road, jumped over the barricades dressed here and continued to the bend in the middle of the road and of the arena. Behind him, Lan Fang took flight and followed by taking shortcuts; she wasn’t as fast as Huang was, but her flight afforded her greater maneuverability. From up high, hovering about fifteen to twenty meters from the ground -- slightly above the height of the surrounding buildings -- she could survey the area efficiently and was ready to intervene anywhere. Jin and Ren formed the first pair. They advanced carefully through the buildings close to their starting zone, the martial artist taking point as the class president stayed a couple steps behind; they would make they way to the cisterns close to the central bend to try and ambush anyone who would try to attack Huang speeding down the road. The second pair, Zhao and Cheng, would advance down the road and hide behind the central building, close to where the main battle was likely to happen but ready to intervene in case someone would try to flank them by going through the southern warehouse. You leave me here wondering if I'll ever know How much you care, or how much you don't If you're going to be somebody's last time, baby be mine. “ As Kyla's teammates gather, she was able to see that she had quite the group with her. One by one each of them showed up and offered information about themselves that they could. All except Nyke really. Fortunately, Kyla already knew Nyke pretty well and Understood most of what she meant when she spoke. Nyke was a tough girl even though she was small, so that was a good thing. As for everyone else, there was a nice balance for them. A good mix of long ranged and melee combatants and even people that could do both. It seemed like the best idea was to pair off and get a grasp of what their opponents were doing. And from there they could formulate a plan to capture the others. Just as Kyla thought that the event started. A screen with their principal's face turned on and explained the rules of engagement. It seemed simple enough. They had to capture students and whoever had the most by the end of the event would be declared the winner. And then, in a display of the building's disposability, the walls of the room they had gathered in fell open to reveal the battlefield. Kyla looked upward to the sky to see that they were in the open air. her eyes moved down to the area in front of them and what was in view. There was no sight of where the other school started, which meant their starting point was out of view. It was time to start things up! The girl stepped closer to Oberon and took the machine's hand as if holding that of her protector. "I think we should pair off to start. One background fight with one that can stand in the front lines. That we they can support each other with backup and cover each other's retreats." She pointed to Nyke, Jasmine, and Akio. "I know that you're not limited to the front, but I think you three are the best bets for that. The rest of us can support you." She then turned and pointed to the building in front of them. "And I'm going to start things off by seeing what I can find out from up there. Seeing where the other school is going seems like a good idea to me." She added. Before she ran off however she waved her hand toward the three she mentioned earlier. "If one of you can come with me and stand near the base of the building with Oberon, that would be great!"And with that, her robot companion started to run off toward the building that Kyla pointed out. Following him was Kyla herself as she decided which of her nodes she was going to take offline for her temporary wings. Since she was out to gather information and she was going to be providing long-range support the best choice right now were her spear nodes. So the nodes on her back, which was mostly bare, started to glow a light blue hue before a set of energy wings sprouted from them. Energetic Heart allowed her to overclock one of her nodes to give her a set of wings for a short time. And while those wings were out, whatever node she sacrificed to make the wings couldn't be used. So for the small amount of time that she had them, the girl flew forth to land on top of the building and get a good look at what she could see. Right away there was quite a bit of information available to her. Huang was already speeding down the road and was halfway through it. Lan was on a building across the street and it was likely that both of them saw Kyla as well. With these two things noted, Kyla turned toward her group to point in their direction. "One's on the road and another on that building!" SHe yelled out, making sure to let those that paid attention to her know that they were going to be engaged very soon. Meanwhile, Oberon stood at the base of the building and could be seen as well. His mission was as simple as serving as a buffer between Kyla and those seeking her out. ” notes -Wants to pair Nyke, Jasmine, and Nyke separate with one of the remaining three. -Uses Energetic Heart to land on top of the marked building -Is seen by and sees Huang and Lan, calls them out -Oberon guards base of the building. "Looks like it, yeah," Jasmine replied to what Lancelot had said as their team begun thinking of how to go about handling this match. Judging from the basketball game they had against the two members of the opposing team a couple of days ago, the enemy school had quite the range of peculiar yet not at all useless quirks. It was quite the opposite, really - the American expected them to put up quite the fight. Heck, they may even lose if they weren't careful. Jasmine snorted at her classmate's declaration as a small smirk materialized on her face. She raised her fist to bump against Meara's, "Don't get your hopes up. Pretty sure if all of us don't give them our all we'll probably end up as roadkill." It wasn't long before the Principal appeared on the screens with one of his long-winded speeches, after which an explanation of the match followed. Capturing the students, eh? Shit, that makes things unnecessarily difficult, the blonde thought, wondering how she was supposed to go about doing just that. If the objective was just to knock them out then everything would've been simple enough. Then again... she could probably knock them out and then opt for a capture. Huh. Yeah, fair enough. Nobody could really bitch about that. Anyway. The walls quickly fell down and Kyla immediately responded. Jasmine pondered her options: they didn't know much about the opposing team and as such intel was key going forward. While normally she would've gone in guns blazing, she figured she couldn't risk being knocked out in the first few encounters, let alone allow one of their scouts to be taken out. As such, she nodded to Kyla's suggestion and kept close to the girl, using her explosions to grant her enough mobility to keep up. She was close to the other girl's robot companion, staying within earshot just so she'd be able to intervene lest Kyla was attacked.
It was gametime.
-Jasmine simply followed Kyle, staying close to provide support if needed

| Luka Quirk: Infernal Slime Hero Name: Genesis | |
It seemed that no one on his team was particularly inclined to plan just yet, nor were there any real leaders showing up to make decisions, at least not straight away. Not really having been in combat situations since coming to U.A., Luka wasn't quite sure what to make of the team's composition or the situation in general, all he knew was that he needed to try his best to prove that he was able to be a hero just as he planned. With that thought in mind he waited impatiently for the match to start. He wanted to win, wanted to show everyone watching that he was capable of success, but ultimately he knew that if he lost he'd have to take it as a learning experience.
Didn't mean he couldn't try to win though.
The sudden activation of the screen was enough to set his non-existant blood pumping as the Principal explained the rules, swiftly followed by the wall of the lockerroom practically collapsing, leaving them open to the field they would be fighting on. It seemed that one of their team took that moment to give some sort of direction, the first bit of instruction or planning that any of them had spoken aloud. It seemed sensible enough, and he watched as she, her robot, and Jasmine headed up the road to the building directly in front of them.
Thinking for the moment, he looked over at the others "Akio, Sturdy, I think you two should go together... assuming that name is accurate," he said, pointing from the boy to Nyke. She hadn't said anything else, but he figured that is she were a 'tank' kind of individual then going with a support would be useful, especially for frontliners like the two probably were. He ignored the sound of his sister calling him a nerd in the back of his head for using RPG terminology, that was none of her business after all. "Maybe you can back me up Meara, though we're both more ranged focused, I'm heading up to try and surprise one of them." With that said, he began to run as quickly as he could towards the building that was to the east of their start position.
Reaching the wall, his hands shifted into slime, the light blue gel extending upwards to grasp the gutter of the building's roof. Without any fanfare the rest of his body shifted into the same substance as he pulled himself up onto the roof via this connection, having shifted completely into his slime form. Spreading his mass as thinly as he could he tried to slide across the surface of the roof through the various crevices to avoid being seen by anyone high enough to look at the roof properly. He was trying to be as stealthy as he could as he made his way to the edge, watching for the enemy and hoping to catch them off guard.
From his position on the roof, he watched as one of their opponents rose into the air and drifted forward. As soon as he spotted her he tried to make sure she wouldn't be able to spot him, hoping that his skills were enough for her to get into range before she noticed him. After all, it'd certainly be fun to pull her out of the air before she knew he was there. He was alert and ready for her to notice him though, a tendril of slime resting against the roof ready to try and puncture it and escape through the hole should he get attacked unexpectedly. The building seemed to have a proper interior, so it was a relatively safe escape plan in his mind. OOC NOTES: - Not sure what to make of everything, and no one has suggested a role for him - Match start, Kyla makes some suggestions, Luka suggests that Nyke and Akio pair up, and maybe Meara can work with him - Luka decides to get to a higher vantage point, does so as a slime to keep a low profile - Climbs up onto the roof of nearby building - Tries to avoid being seen while watching for nearby enemies, keeps particular watch on Lan - Hopes he can surprise her, but is ready to escape if he's attacked Tags: N/A

Demon Machine i no longer fear ending my hell Nyke silently watched as the rest of their members came forward and the group was finally together. There was a whole lot of people she didn't know, but that was to be expected. Nyke wasn't all that sociable, so many it was a good idea to change that in the future. There wasn't even anyone from her club besides Kyla. But if she stuck around the girl as a lifeline too much, then she really wouldn't get to know people outside of her class. It seemed like a good idea to see what others could do. Nyke knew she could count on Kyla if things went south. As for the words from the principal and the rules of the game, Nyke understood them well enough. She quickly and unnecessarily nodded to the screen to acknowledge that she understood what was going on. This game actually had a decent advantage for her. While she wasn't he fast person around, Nyke was tough, strong, and more importantly, heavy.
She weighed more than anyone at the school despite being one of the smallest students there. She weighed more than most adults even. Capturing her was going to be more difficult than it was for the others, so her small size could make her a target the other school could mistakingly go for. Decoy duty seemed like a good idea. Of course, all of this was thought about in Nyke's mind. She didn't really vocalize any of it as Kyla, Oberon, and Jasmine headed straight out. They wanted to split up and pair off, so Nyke had to pick someone to follow. It was there that Luka decided to pick up a partner opposite to what Kyla said. It seemed that he wanted to stay in the back and provide support rather than pairing off with a frontline member and just supporting that one. Nyke wasn't going to argue though. She had only spoken a single word so far, so that was to be expected anyway.
So now, she was with Akio. It was a name she had heard before. Perhaps coming fondly from the mouth of one of her classmates. Nyke didn't remember which one exactly, but she would be sure to ask around once she was back in her normal class. Though, Nyke's version of asking was an odd one, to say the least. She looked up to the tall boy and nodded her head in the direction of the course. To put it simply, she wanted the redhead to follow her. She was just going to do what she could do. And for now, that was acting as bait, so to speak. Surely if she made her way out there ahead of the others, she would be seen by the other school. And as low as she didn't go too far, she could draw them in closer to her. CLoser to where the rest of her team could pounce them. And if that got too dangerous, she had Akio to help her out. So Nyke made her way down the course and stayed out in the open. SHe followed the main path to make sure everyone else could see her. Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ

Once everyone arrived and exchanged pleasantries a TV screen appeared from the wall and turned on, on the screen Akio saw the Principal and Geist-sensei appeared and explained the rules So a good old game of cops and robbers then I guess? he thought to himself as he listened to the rules. Once the broadcast ended Kyla spoke up and suggested a plan, which was for the group to split off into groups of 2, with himself, Jasmine and Nyke as frontline combatants. She then went off to scout as her guardian Oberon and Jasmine followed her. Luka then asked Meara to come with him and moved to a higher vantage point, which then left Akio with Nyke. She nodded towards the course and then made her way out to the course I guess she wants me to follow her? he thought to himself as he ran after her "So, could you tell me a bit about your quirk? I don't really know too much and it'd be helpful for me to get a better idea so I can back you up more efficiently," he explained as they made their way down the main path, Akio kept his head on a swivel making sure he looked around so they wouldn't get ambushed They could theoretically come from anywhere, I've gotta keep an eye out for potential surprise attacks he thought to himself, he also made sure to keep an eye ahead of them, if they were heading down the main path they were bound to run into the enemy sooner rather than later ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ -Followed Nyke down the main path -Asked for more details about her quirk -Is keeping an eye out for potential ambushes

Meara waited and listened as people began to give out ideas for how to approach. Meara did like the idea of splitting up into pairs so that they could more easily find and isolate their targets. She got paired up with Luka and she followed him. She was just about to ask the blue haired lad what his quirk was when his hands turned into a light blue slime and shot up the building wall and pulled himself up. “Huh, neat.” She said as she went to follow her partner up the building. Looking around she was able find a fire escape that allowed her to get up to the roof. Once up there she quietly went over to where Luka was observing a potential opportunity to take out one of their opponents. “Oi thanks for leaving me on the ground back their mate.” She whispered as she crouched behind some cover. She peaked out and looked at the airborne girl that she assumed was their target. “Shouldn’t have split off solo lass, that mistakes gonna cost ya.” She thought as she readied herself. Meara was keen on letting Luka act first and see what he would do. Depending on how Luka acted and if his actions would be enough to subdue the other girl alone would determine if Meara activated her quirk or not.
(OOC NOTES) [Meara followed Luka as his back up and joined him on the roof of the building. She is ready to activate her quirk if needed to help subdue LAN. But she’s hoping that she won’t have to.

Lan Fan reached her designated position first, a couple of seconds before Huang screeched around the corner, giving her a nice overview of the situation. Their team had seemingly divided themselves in pairs as well; the first one stood on a building opposite them, a tall blonde girl and a smaller one, and down the road advanced a second one; there was also a sort of robot-looking thing, no doubt a product of a quirk of some sort. She reported as much to Ren over the earpiece. “Alright. Huang, flank around the building! Lan, stay on top of the building, we don’t know where the last two are. The rest of us will lead an assault on the group down the road. Let’s move!” The order rang in every earpiece of the Chinese team, and a second later Fenghuang sprang into action. They were about to display their full strength right off the bat with a coordinated all-out assault, almost military in its execution. Huang, who appeared to be the spearpoint of their assault suddenly veered to the right, taking a long corner around the building at high speed, engine roaring as he did so. His rubber boots screeched down the asphalt, and he even ran into the wall as his corner was little wide, which he seemed to shrug off without a problem. The intention was clear; using his superior speed, he was gunning around the flank for a pincer attack,. Of course, if it was their only preoccupation, it would be easy to UA to stop his attempt even before he got around the building. However, the second Huang started veering to his right, a green-scaled, mean-eyed ten meters long Chinese dragon turned the corner, hovering a meter from the ground, holding a sword, a spear and a saber in some of its numerous claws, which was certain to alert the UA team that danger was coming as he flew straight for the girls on the building, Jasmine and Kyla. And Zhao Shou wasn’t coming alone. From behind a water tank, ten human fingers flew like rockets. Literally; there was fire coming off the ends. Ren’s quirk, which turned his body into fireworks and allowed him to fire and regenerate his explosive limbs, was a gruesome one to behold but a deceptive one. Each of the rather small fingers carried impressive explosive power. They weren’t Ren’s strongest explosions, but they weren’t to be underestimated either, as they set to explode in a barrage on Jasmine and Kyla, timed precisely so Zhao would come out of the smoke with a strong tail whip followed by a slash of his blunted saber. From around the building where the dragon had launched himself, three baseball-shaped and sized grenades were thrown in quick succession, each of them spinning furiously. They were carrying more speed than they ought to be, and more importantly, their trajectory bent strangely, almost like a free kick in football. That was due to the impressive amount of spin that was put on the balls by the thrower, Cheng Young, making creative use of the Magnus force to control the trajectory of the balls in mid-air. “A little more down!” instructed Lan Fang, “Okay,” answered Cheng, increasing the spin on the ball-shaped grenades all of a sudden, causing their trajectory to bend even more and sharply turn to land in front of Akio, Oberon and Nyke, coming from the side. Their destructive power wasn’t as great as Ren’s quirk, but it was nothing to be scoffed at either. Right after the explosions a certain red-headed figure would dive down on Akio, the other, taller redhead, with a sharp and speedy dropkick. At the start of the action, Jin Chang, their resident martial artist, used her quirk to quickly reposition herself on top of the water towers, hopefully using confusion for power, and timed her strike right after Cheng’s throws. It was at about that time that Huang, if uninterrupted, would slam into the smaller Nyke from behind. The final piece of the puzzle was Lan Fang, who now hovered high above the building. She was ready to provide assistance if needed, but right now, her attention was focused on the fight, helping guide her teammates and coordinate their assault. Clearly, Fenghuang had practiced these lightning-quick assaults before, but they wouldn’t be able to pull it off with such precision without the scouting and support abilities of Lan to relay information to Ren, their control tower. But she was the latest addition to their crew, and it showed. She was nervous about her exposed position, high up down the field, and while this attack was likely to inflict some damage if the other two weren’t around, she couldn’t help but be worried about a surprise attack. (tl;dr: see the map cause shits confusing lol prntscr.com/mylp7q… ok this ain’t much better, let me make sense of it xd. squares are UA, circles are Fenghuang. red circle is Ren, blue circle is Cheng, orange long oval thing is Zhao, yellow circle is Jin, green is Lan and black is Huang. for UA: red square is Akio, yellow is Jaz, pink is Kyla, white is Oberon, light blue is Luka, orange is Meara and black is Nyke. The red spray is where Ren's explosions are headed, the bleu spray is where Cheng's are. they are basically launching a coordinated assault: so all of this is pretty much happening in the span of 5-10 seconds: - Huang veers to his righ and corners around the building at something like 70 km/h - Ren fires a barrage of finger missiles in front of Jaz and Kyla, Cheng fires a barrage of grenades in front of Oberon, Akio and Nyke - as they do that, Zhao who has transformed into a dragon (1/3 turns of transformation) flies down the street, heads straight for Jasmine and Kyla to tail whip them right after the explosions - Jin does the same, with a dive-kick straight down on Akio after Cheng’s explosions -Lan stays flying to coordinate the attack, does not notice Luka and Meara hiding -Huang comes from around the building to slam into Nyke, if uninterrupted)
