Akio sat in the locker room before his fight, his first actual proper fight since joining the hero course. This was his chance to prove what he could do, to prove to himself that he wasn't worthless, that he was actually strong. He'd been training for this ever since the festival was announced, he'd prepared himself mentally and physically, he was ready for this. He stood up from the chair he was on and started doing his warm ups, he listened to the music blaring through his headphones "The gloves are coming off Whoever we come across we taking no loss at any and all cost Whoever we come across on sight we taking off tonight the world is ours" and then before he knew it, it was time. He was wearing his normal gym uniform with a added jacket that he'd shed before exiting the locker room, only wearing it so he wouldn't cool off before the fight. He opened the locker room door and stepped out and made his way over to the stone arena. As soon as he stepped out of the locker room he could hear the crowd cheering and screaming, which made him slightly nervous before he took a breath Focus on what's important, you're here to do your thing, just ignore the screaming crowd, it's no different than playing in a playoff game he thought to himself as he stepped out into the arena and took his position, looking across at his opponent, he'd never seen or met them before so he stepped forward to greet them "I'm Akio Hirotaka from Class 1-C, it's nice to meet you," he said as he held his hand out "Let's have a good fight, yeah?" his voice was polite but if she looked into his eyes she would be able to see that there was a fire burning in them, Akio was determined to win this and his body language visibly showed that I WILL win this

There was a different look in Jun's eye today. She'd gone through her normal routine- eat breakfast with her mother, joke around with her dad while they did the dishes, get ready to head out to school- but this wasn't a normal day. The tournament had finally arrived at her doorstep when she opened the door, and the it crept behind her the entire journey from home to the arena. Though she tried to not let the nerves show on her face, Jun was trying to do anything to get her mind off of the idea of a live broadcast of her fighting. Every moment she'd spent training in the boxing ring in Tokyo had led up to this day, and the processed wrapped pastries being shoveled into her mouth without a shred of hesitation solidified the fact that she would give it her all. Once the time came for her to make her way to the arena, she'd do so with her nails digging into the skin of her palms and crumbs still around her mouth. Her gym outfit wasn't as comfy as her red track jacket, but she wore the U.A. symbol with pride as she stepped out into the center. And her opponent was... Well, he was pretty big. The much taller boy would speak up, but the girl would give him a disinterested look while she picked at her ear with her pinky and flicking whatever was on her nail away," You must hit your head on lots of doorways." Shrugging with a breathy chuckle, the over shirt of her gym clothes would be shed to reveal a tight black sports bra underneath. This battle would surely get a bit heated, and she wasn't about to let her own Quirk rip the only gym clothes she has to shreds. Throwing it to the ground, Jun would give the red-haired boy a lazy wave to his introduction," Jun. Class 1-B." Stretching and folding her hands behind her head, she'd begin stealthy forming sugar crystals on hand in the shape of knuckledusters. It was only on her left, and dominant, hand though, as she'd keep the right free to block whatever punch he was going to surely throw later," Hey, my folks are watchin' so-" Her lax demeanor may have made it seem like she didn't care whether she was here or not, but it was quite the opposite. It was all an act to make it seem like her nerves weren't eating away at her in that moment, and as she dropped her hands to her side to walk towards the taller boy, all she could do was crack jokes to hide it. Crystallization
Type: Emitter
Rank: E
Effects: Jun's sweet-tooth comes in handy, as she is able to form hardened sugar crystals from her skin! These sugar crystals are as strong as stone, and are able to break stone. With this, forming armor and large crystalline fists to beat people with is a piece of cake!
The crystals that Jun forms are only able to be manipulated when she is touching them.
Drawback and Weaknesses: Sugar must be consumed to form the sugar crystals. Not only that, but the only way to be rid of the crystal constructs is to either shatter or dissolve them in water. Once shattered, the remaining pieces will burst into unrefined sugar.
Since her quirk is centered around her sugar levels, if Jun uses her quirk too much or too extremely the first symptoms of hypoglycemia will begin to set in- dizziness, confusion, heart palpitations, shaking, and more. If not treated quickly enough, it could prove fatal through insulin shock. ---------------------- F Rank Like Mother, Like Daughter (Fighting skill lol)

Akio saw his opponent walk out and come to stand opposite him, the first thing she said was that he must hit his head on a lot of doorways, he couldn't help but let out a small chuckle "Yeah, it happens sometimes," he said with a smile Though I wish you'd show a little bit more respect to an opponent he thought to himself. She then introduced herself as Jun from Class 1-B totally blowing off his handshake with a lazy wave Seriously would it kill you to show a bit more respect... he thought to himself as he had a proper look at her Obviously not a mutant quirk, so she's either an emitter or a transformer, either way I better keep my guard up he continued thinking to himself as he took a step back. She then mentioned that her parents were watching "Then I hope you'll do your best to make them proud," he said to her as he took another step back as she started to walk towards him
The signal to start the fight then went off and Akio sprang right into action, charging right at her and aimed a punch right at her stomach If she won't show me the proper respect as an opponent then I won't go easy he thought to himself as he attempted to use a leg sweep to knock her off balance If I can get her on the ground I can use my superior size to keep her restrained he thought to himself

"Eh, they got enough reasons to be proud." Her lax nature would be her undoing, and she'd shrug to the boy with a grin that was surely too whimsical for a tournament.
Taking one more step forward, the girl would crack the knuckles of her right hand in anticipation,"I'll make sure this is added to the list!"
Jun, seeing his fist move towards her stomach, would form a patch of hardened sugar crystals to block the attack. Not only that, she'd make sure to make it at least hurt a bit more than usual, the crystals being manipulated into small spikes to injure his hand,"Boo-" Thinking she had the upper hand in the fight, Jun couldn't see the counterattack coming as he used his leg to sweep her off her feet and to the ground. The sugary girl would land on her back, a bit shocked by how much backbone the kid actually had.
However, the lessons that her mother drilled into her mind at an early age were rushing through her mind, one in particular at the forefront.
"Use every mistake to your advantage- either theirs or yours."
And that was just what she was determined to do. Her mother might be pretty useless in a fight today, but Jun inherited her bull-headedness and confidence from her. There was no way she'd let herself slip up and not have a backup plan.
So, she stayed on the ground a bit longer than she should have. Or, at least until the boy decided to make another move. If Akio took the bait and tried to subdue her by getting on top of her, the girl would have to think fast on her feet. Grabbing a hold of his collar with both of her hands, a hastily-made patch of crystals would spread across her forehead as she rammed her head into his.
If he chose to hesitate instead, the girl would be quick to get back onto her feet and swing a nasty uppercut towards his chin. It would, of course, be the hand with the sugary knuckles, and she'd keep her right arm ready to counterattack whatever he had up his sleeve.
Jun was nothing if not prepared- another lesson from her mother. If there was no plan of attack, there was no attack.

When Akio told Jun to do her best to make them proud she told him they have enough reasons to be proud and she'll make sure this will be added to the list Sorry but, I'm gonna make sure it's not added to the list through a dominant victory, but a courageous loss he thought to himself.
As his fist was flying towards her stomach he smirked in triumph, but that smirk on his face was quickly replaced with a mixed look of confusion and pain, he looked down at the girls stomach and saw some kind of crystalline form on her stomach So that's her quirk, growing some kind of crystalline substance from her body? I really hope those crystals are susceptible to heat he thought to himself as he threw out his leg sweep, he saw her lying there and went to subdue her, before he could however she grabbed his collar and grew more of her crystalline substance on her forehead and rammed her head straight into his, he stumbled back slightly disoriented, he shook his head and regained his composure Ok, I've gotta figure out what to do about these crystals he thought to himself, he decided to bait her into using her crystals, he charged at her and faked a punch towards her face aiming for her forehead, hoping she'd grow more crystals, if she did instead of punching her he'd grab her head and use his quirk to try and melt the crystals, if she instead avoided to the side he'd instead throw a spinning kick towards whichever direction she ducked off to

It was at this point in combat where things began to get heated. Adrenaline rushed through Jun's veins, and she remembered why she'd signed up for the tournament in the first place. There was no telling what Akio had up his sleeve, but it mattered little to the crystalline girl in that moment- the seconds in between the real action. It wasn't as thrilling if she didn't think of a reaction in the sparse moments she had before the taller boy laid out his attack, even though her mother had taught her otherwise.
Though she was smart as a whip, Jun liked when her opponent did something she couldn't have predicted. It made everything much more exciting for her. And, as the boy recovered from her headbutt to throw a punch at her face, she'd grin and roll back onto her feet as a bead of sweat trickled down her temple.
Baiting out my Quirk, huh? It was a smart move- one she would have thought someone less honorable would have done. Though Jun could have reacted and ducked to escape it, she wanted to see what it would bring with it. There was much more to learn of this Akio character, and evading his attacks wasn't going to lead to any new information.
At the last second, the punch turned to an open hand, one large enough to grab Jun's forehead and begin melting away at the top layer of crystals. So, his Quirk is heat? It was a mental note that the shorter girl wrote down, feeling akin to a pot sat atop a burner. Though the sugar crystals helped negate some of the heat, the now melted sugary goo that began to drip down onto the floor below her was a telling sign that she shouldn't let him use his Quirk for too much longer. In a sense, though, she was lucky.
He was dense enough to essentially put his hand on incredibly hot syrup.
Knowing that it wouldn't be wise to put a bare hand to his arm in case his Quirk was what she thought, a thin layer of crystals grew across the underside of her hand as she brought it up to clutch the taller boy's extended arm. With it, however, came a quick and dull pain to her chest. Her heart would begin to pound harder and faster as she slid her foot out to balance her body out for a counter attack, the hand adorned with the crystalline knuckles being sent towards his ribcage. It was an attempt to get him farther away from her, and if it was successful she'd step back from him to recover. Jun knew she couldn't go on much longer in a fight like this, even if she'd prepped her glucose levels before hand with enough sweets to put a normal person into a sugar-induced coma. If only she'd drank a slushie along with it all...
If the punch was blocked or dodged, she'd go for a counterattack all the same with her arm latched firmly to his arm. A knee would be sent up towards him instead, still trying to separate herself from his heat. All the same, the girl would attempt to get away from Akio and try her best to get a hold of the heart beat that echoed in her ears,"We're going all out today, huh?" Breathing heavily and beginning to shake a bit from the early symptoms of hypoglycemia, Jun would wipe the drop of sweat that ran down her cheek away. Different plans of attack were racing through her head, all involving her relying much less on her Quirk. If it meant avoiding another hospital visit, then she could do without it for the rest of the fight. However, it would put a serious handicap on her.
The sugar that was melted on her forehead was beginning to cool, but her bangs had gotten stuck in it. Trying her best to joke away the nausea, Jun would grin and chuckle softly,"Man, this is gonna be stuck in my hair for weeks." Shrugging it off, the crystal girl would suddenly switch off the mischievous side and reveal a much more daunting opponent as she bent her knees to stabilize herself.
Trying to be as resourceful as possible, the patch that had formed on the underside of her hand would be moved around to form an identical pair of crystalline knuckles. However, if they had been melted when Jun went to touch Akio's arm, she'd have to go without a hard right hook just this time. Her fists would be brought up to hide half of her face, sharp blue eyes glaring past the lenses in her red-rimmed glasses as she started cautiously stepping towards Akio. The boxing stance she currently shifted into was known as the 'Peek-a-boo', and it was meant to give the boxer indomitable defense and an even mightier offense.
Most of this fight was her reacting to whatever the larger boy threw at her, and it was better this way. It was a beautiful fight- a push and pull- and one of them had to take up the role she was playing. Though she still had a lot of fight left in her, Jun's glucose levels were already beginning to say otherwise. Even if she made it past this one hurdle, there would be much tougher opponents down the line that would push her even further past her limit.
Akio would be used as her first stepping stone to a heroic future that her mother could be proud of. She'd promise herself right then and there to go beyond to become the person that her role model could look up to as she laid helplessly- a prisoner in her own pathetic body.
And, as the distance was closed between the two, the ocean that Jun held in her eyes crashed with waves of newly-found determination.

His plan had worked, he was able to grab her head and apply his heat to the surface layer of the crystals, he could feel them softening under his grasp and syrup started dripping on the floor So it can be affected be temperature, good he thought to himself, he then felt Jun's hand grab his hand and saw a crystalline fist going straight towards his stomach, he ripped his arm out of her grasp, let go of her forehead and jumped backwards out of the range of her fist, he saw her step away from him and looked at his arm and saw some light scratches on his arm, nothing that different from cat scratches. He looked up and could see Jun was breathing heavily Her quirk must be taking a toll on her he thought to himself, he wasn't as fatigued because he'd only just started using his quirk and only for a short time, but she'd been using her quirk for the whole battle This is my chance, if she's fatigued from her quirk she'll be sluggish and with any luck, unable to use her quirk completely he thought to himself, but he didn't want to charge in headfirst. She said something about them going all out today "I mean we've got a bunch of people watching, potential pros that could want to recruit us, why not show them what we got right?" he said to her as he went to step forward, he heard her say that the hardened syrup is gonna be in her hair for weeks, he then saw crystals appear on her knuckles and brought her hands up to her face, he recognized it as a boxing stance, he'd read about it when he was researching potential fighting styles, she started closing the distance between them and Akio could see into her eyes and saw that she was far from giving up Alright then, let's see how long you can last he thought to himself as he assumed a relaxed but alert fighting stance and waited for her next move, he'd been leading the fight and making most of the moves, it was time to see what moves she'd make

Jun was lucky that the hypoglycemia hadn't advanced. Dizziness and a couple out of sync heartbeats was nothing new to her, so she took the rather alarming sign as a grain of salt. Visiting the hospital as often as she did as a child toughened her up when it came to minor health issues- especially ones that she'd encountered much too often growing up. If anything, she had to be wary if her Quirk was used a few more times.
That's when the tide of battle would surely turn.
Taking short and rather cautious steps towards the giant, the crystalline girl still hadn't a clue of what her plan of attack was. There were plenty of ways she could attack him, but it was all about the timing. What if he blocked and grabbed her left hook and she had to rely on her non-dominant hand, or completely outright tackled her when in range? There was no way she could defend against something so sudden again, especially when she had to mask the fact that she was shaking like a leaf from her glucose levels.
With the distance now closed between the two, there wasn't time nor brainpower to spare for a plan. Her parents would have to scold her later for her spontaneity, but she'd have to make it through the round semi-alive first. Working on her instincts and the brief knowledge she had of the fiery-haired boy alone, Jun would feign a strong right hook. Though it looked like a fairly powerful punch, there was very little strength behind it as she hoped for the boy to block it without hesitation. Whether he did or didn't do as she thought, she'd quickly switch to using her dominant left hand to follow up with a uppercut to his jaw. This time, however, the last of the strength she had would be put behind it. Both of her knuckles were coated in the sugary crystals that had both helped and cursed her for the entire fight, the one but intense drawback plaguing her even with their usefulness.
If Akio went for a punch of his own, the crystalline girl could only stomach one of the punches. She'd block it by using the same patch of crystals she had formed beforehand when it came to putting up her defenses, but it wouldn't come without another wave of nausea. Her heart would try it's best to keep her alive, beating harder and faster than it healthily should. Sweat began to build up on her face, dripping off of her to hit the ground below.
It was lucky for the taller boy that she had a Quirk that did more damage to herself than others. It was unlucky, however, that he got matched against the most bullheaded member of 1-B. Even though she was close to puking all over her opponent as disgusting last ditch effort, Jun held her head high and pushed past it. Just as her mother had taught her, the Prism child would repress the overwhelming feelings of fear and helplessness in order to form an insurmountable wall.
She wouldn't make it easy for Akio, that was for sure.

Akio saw Jun walking towards him, he couldn't help but smirk a little She's got spirit, I'll give her that, but this battle's going to be mine he thought to himself, once she closed the distance between them she threw a powerful looking punch towards him, he sidestepped it, she then sent an uppercut towards him which he was able to just barely dodge, the crystals on Jun's knuckles scraping his chin, he then threw 2 quick punches towards her stomach, he didn't think that she could last much longer, after all, those crystals had to come from somewhere right? He hoped those 2 punches would knock her down for good but stayed on his toes in case she was able to recover She's been able to hold out this whole fight, who knows how much more fight she has left in her he thought to himself as he continued to keep a close eye on her to see how she would react, he also didn't want her to overexert herself and cause any serious or long lasting damage to herself by extending her quirk past it's natural limits, he didn't think it was worth it for a school tournament

There were many things she wanted to do in this fight- show off her boxing skills, make her parents proud. When the much taller boy sent the first punch to her stomach and she blocked it, however, she realized wouldn't be able to do much of anything. The first patch was enough to block the punch, but it was a double-edged sword. Though his strike didn't pierce through the crystals, it felt as if it had gone through her whole body. She lost her balance, but moved her leg quickly to avoid falling backwards.
This was, however, when the second punch came. Jun, being the stubborn overachiever she was, thought that maybe she could expand on it to block the other. Though she was running on fumes at that point, she was always willing to push and try her hardest. However, as the crystals began to inch outside of the patch to block the other, they stopped. The punch was merely more than something to knock her onto her ass, as she was barely conscious to be able to see anything but the dark borders now taking over her vision. Breathing now shallow and shaky, Jun squinted up at the giant,"Do me a solid, Akio-" When did her voice get so hoarse? With her skin clammy and pale, she'd fall back onto her back and gulp back the growing lump in her throat.
Though she had lost, she grinned up at the redhead to hide her damaged pride,"Call the nurse." After the last word left her lips, her body went limp as her head cocked to the side.
Finally, she'd be able to get some rest from all of this fighting. She'd have to apologize to her parents later.
