these rapid eyes will keep on moving Lani was starved! Like, not just hungry or famished, but starving! She wasn't a huge eater. She didn't eat like the boys, but she wasn't some minimalist with some of her friends either. But right now she felt like she could eat a whole horse. It was a rare feeling to feel truly hungry. It was something she hadn't felt since she left her mother. That woman was the type to starve and even beat Lani for not doing what she wanted. And since then Lani had gotten along pretty well. With her admission into Yuuei, she could eat pretty regularly and that helped out a whole lot. And right now she felt like she felt back then. She wanted something to eat. Between some midnight nonsense, chasing some pervert, and wrecking some weird science project, the sports festival was turning out to be way too eventful for Lani. She still had to attend the inter-school competition against the other schools that came to visit her. How bothersome was that! Then again, she really wanted to see how her school and her classmates stacked up against the other schools.
So before it came time to do that, Lani opted to get some food. And she wasn't alone in this endeavor. She was with her friend and classmates. First was the ever silent little tank, Nyke Nora. Then there was straight-focused Kyla Casey. They both unveiled the projects they had been working on int he robotics club. It looked really cool based on what she had seen of the robots created, so Lani was glad to see their progress. And finally, their class president was with them. She helped out during the opening moments of the festival and was now spending her free time with them. So they were a nice little entourage in each other's company as they moved through the main alley. As for what they were going to eat; that was another mission entirely.
As aloof as Lani was, even she wanted a decent meal. Most oft he stalls sold junk food. It was the kind of food one would expect at the festival. Though, with visitors from other nations, Lani noticed there was a stall or two that offered them something from their home country. Whether or not they could make it as well as a cook from that country was debatable, but the offer was a nice enough gesture. Even though they were here for a competition, it was best for the future generation of professional heroes to get along with each other in some way. Once her little group got to the middle of the food court area, Lani stopped and turned to face the girls. She placed a hand on her hip while the other hung at her side. Her weight was shifted so that one of her hips poked out to the side a bit. "Alright, so what does everyone want? Y'all gonna need something good and filling for when the competition starts." She advised them, hoping they weren't all focused on junk food. ulla

Demon Machine i no longer fear ending my hell The last time the girls tried to take a break, things because pretty odd and cold. And the time before that they met up looking for some strange thieves. It seemed that in the fervor that was the sports festival, all kinds of seedy characters showed up to take advantage of the confusion. So now the group were going to finally have some time to enjoy themselves and they were famished. Even Nyke, who ate very little in general was quite hungry. She didn't want to enter the event she signed up for hungry. It would affect her performance and bring down the school she represented. While Nyke wasn't huge on the whole school loyalty thing, she didn't want to start failing at the first thing she decided to do for herself. While her father wanted her to become a hero to help the company, Nyke wanted to do so to help others and to prove to herself that she could control her own future. It seemed odd to do it in a way that seemed like she was doing exactly what her father wanted, but Nyke couldn't really escape that line of thought. She had been doing what he asked her whole life, so this was going to be hard for her.
The group was now at the food stalls in the main alley. It was closer to the entrance of the sports festival and trailed off directly into the stalls with the games and other side events. Not only that, but recruiters and interested parties had their own stalls are well. It was a busy conglomeration of interested parties. As for the food, Nyke silently looked over the stalls are the other spoke amongst themselves. She wasn't that picky of a person, but she had to make sure that it was something she could add her special dietary needs too. Namely, the aluminum foil that she usually wrapped her food in when she ate it. It seemed like they had food from all over. She recognized a lot of it, which was a surprise for her. In the end, she didn't care so much what she ate as long as she ate something. Being hungry wasn't something that Nyke was used to.
"Anything."
She spoke quickly and plainly to Lani once she asked what people wanted. It was an expected answer from the girl but an answer nonetheless. Nyke felt as though if she said nothing at all, the tall girl would harp on an answer of any kind. So to avoid that annoyance altogether, Nyke said her piece in a single word and let it go from there. She, instead, went back to watching the people around as she usually did. She stood up straight, but her arms hung at her side with the fingers on one of her hands messing with the hem of her skirt. It was just small typical fidgetting, but Nyke's constant messing with the material caused it to wear faster than it usually should over time. But as a girl with everything given to her she never really saw the result of that. Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ

You leave me here wondering if I'll ever know How much you care, or how much you don't If you're going to be somebody's last time, baby be mine. “ Three times was a charm as most said and maybe this time she would get to hang out with her friends without any real trouble. Between finding lost items, chasing down thieves, and the night they had before, Kyla was becoming tired. it was like a test run for when they became actual heroes and she could already see the burnout. However, it wasn't going to deter her from becoming the hero she wanted. She wasn't going to let it be that way. It just meant that they were going to have to be even more amazing so that something like today wasn't so bad. That was how Kyla was going to look at things. For now, though, she just wanted something to ea.t It seemed like a unanimous decision as everyone was hungry. The all still had an event to do for the festival and going into it on an empty stomach wasn't a good idea at all. So once they were back in the crowd of the sports festival, it was time for some food. As for what Kyla wanted, she hadn't thought about it just yet. She wanted more than just a snack. Even a basic meal might not have been enough. Sure, her core was charged, but she was still hungry just in general. That was when it hit her. They could split up and hit multiple places at once and order for everyone. They could put together their own meal by going to different stalls and grabbing something. And Kyla knew exactly which one she wanted to check out. Kyla's and Ericka's adventures together had them ally with a certain cute bakery shop that was going to be here today, so She would grab something from there. Some sugar would be really helpful for all the stuff they had to do later. And when combined with a full meal it would provide them the energy they needed for the day. So once Lani asked about it, Kyla spoke up. "We can each grab something from a shop. I don't think any of them are putting out a real meal. So let's put something together ourselves." She wasn't sure if they were all on board with that, but Kyla thought it was a good idea. She felt as though they knew each other well enough that they could decide what the others wanted. Aside from a few small things, there wasn't anything she knew they avidly disliked. Combined with the fact that most of the food here was pretty basic and Kyla figured everything would be fine. Even Nyke said she was fine with whatever. Kyla turned to Ericka and nodded to her. "I'll get us some treats from that bakery. Remember how they said they would be here today?" She brought up, assuming Ericka would know what she was talking about. With all the help they gave them if the didn't show up today it would be a shame. "So that just leaves drinks, a side order, and the main order right?" There was one thing for each of them, so that worked out. ”

Class 1-B seemed to not be able to take a break at all. Even the group of friends that gathered together for the festival were popped into one bothersome activity after another. Ericka knew her job as the class president was going to keep her busy, but this was pretty ridiculous. The main vents for the day had yet to start, but already the girl had dealt with two thieves and a ghost. Ericka was tried and hungry at this point and it was not a good condition to be in when going into a school event. Her parents were going to be watching what was going on and she wanted to make them proud. So getting something to eat and getting some rest was the best idea. At least when she was eating with her friends they could take about something other than all the weirdos that popped up at the festival today. Sure, a big event like this was going to attract people of all kinds, but this was a bit ridiculous. So when she was gathered together with her friend in the food court, Ericka was relieved that nothing had popped up yet. As for what she wanted to eat, Ericka didn't really know. Anything would be fine really, so she was fine with whatever. It seemed like a nothing answer, but honestly, Ericka just wanted something in her stomach. Thankfully, Kyla had already put together a plan. They could each get one part of a meal for everyone and they could meet up at a table. It was something that Ericka could get behind. And when she brought up the bakery, Ericka perked up with a smile. "I was hoping they would come. Make sure you tell them to expect a lot of customers. I tried to tell as many people as I could about it." She was happy the bakery was doing well and that their efforts were working for them. With that said, Ericka looked over at the food stalls and nodded. "Alright, I'll get some fries for everyone. That should be easy enough, right?" She asked. Fries were a pretty common side food for outings like this. And sure, they were greasy and unhealthy, but having them every once in a while wasn't terrible. Moderation was what was important. And as far as Ericka knew, no one hated fries, so that seemed like the best pick for a side item. So as long as no one had a problem with it that was what she would get. If they did, all they had to do was let her know and she'd pick those up as well as long as they could be found at the festival. "And, whoever gets back first can pick out a table. We'll just find the person sitting down and join them." it seemed like a great plan and Ericka liked it. "Good thinking Kyla." She added, praising the girl for putting it together so quickly. So as long as that was all set, Ericka was off to get her part of the meal.

these rapid eyes will keep on moving When asked for what they wanted to eat, no one was really picky. They were fine with whatever was available. It wasn't going to be easy to find something specific at the festival so they probably all went in expecting to eat whatever was there. But Kyla had come up with a plan to make getting food easier. They were close enough as a group to make sure they need the things the others would absolutely not eat. And since Ericka was getting the fries, Lani would complete the American fast food with burgers. She nodded as the other two picked out what they were going to bring and Lani spoke up next. "Cool, hope you all are okay with burgers. I know you two don't like tomatoes, so I'll make sure those aren't on them." Both Kyla and Ericka didn't like them, at least not just sitting on a burger. Whether or not they liked them in other things was yet to be determined. But Lani knew at least that much in regard to the girls.
As for Nyke, she never complained about anything, Lani would make sure to get some foil in case the girl did not bring her own. In fact, before going to grab the food, she stopped in front of Nyke with a smile. "You have some foil or do you need me to grab some?" Whichever the answer was, Lani would do. She didn't know if she wanted more to go along with what she already had at the moment. So with that all set and Nyke in charge of the last item, the drinks, Lani went off to go one of the food stalls with a grill. It was easy to smell which place had them and she made her way there directly. The line wasn't too bad either. With all the people around and busy doing their own thing the food stalls weren't crowded just yet. Lani figured that once the events started rolling the last rush of food would happen before they all went to sit down. When it finally came to her turn, Lani smiled and held up her hand with four of her fingers up and her thumb pressed against her palm. "Four burgers, no tomato." There was a brief moment of confusion before the order started to be made.
Teens were a hungry bunch, but no one really expected a teenage girl to eat four burgers in one sitting. Once she got the food, she made sure to ask for four different plates and then made her way back to the sitting area. Her eyes scanned the tables for one that could seat all four of them. And sure enough, there was a free spot there for them. She was quick to go there, almost tripping over a chair in the process. SHe didn't want to ruin anyone's food. Fortunately, no harm came to her or the burgers ad she sat them down. She placed each plate in front of a chair and covered it with a napkin until her friends came back. Lani, of course, took her own seat, with her back facing another table with an odd trio sitting at it. ulla
