"Hey, have you heard about the cooking club?" A boyish voice was excitedly talking in a nearby crowd that she had just passed, and out of curiosity she turned briefly to overhear what they might have been talking about. Although she had a few friends on the cooking club, Elise had to admit she wasn't too much involved with the club itself, in fact, she had only gone to speculate a few times before, and decided to keep her time there minimal to avoid being a distraction for Tetsuko. "Their club president Shimizu-kun actually makes some amazing dishes, doesn't he?"
Interesting, so Haruto was just as skilled as a cook as the rumors said? According to Tetsuko, her former classmate did have quite some talent as a cook. However, it was what followed afterward caught her by surprise. "What about Ishihara-chan?" The guy's inquiry soon earned an amused chuckle from the two other boys in the group. "Chise-chan? She's a good cook, but doesn't beat Haruto-kun in terms of skills." The other boy snickered softly while exclaiming in amusement. "I'd rather be served by the Princess of Support Studies any day~" The hearty laughs of his companions made it clear that their opinions were the same, and Elise couldn't help but walk away feeling a sense of grumpiness rise up within her.
Princess of Support Studies? She overheard before that Chise was appointed to the Class President of Support Studies, but to think she was getting popular enough for students to refer to her in such a way? If she was entirely honest, she was surprised, but at the same time, she tried to think back about her time in the class. When Chise broke into tears both Haruto and Saito were ready to jump to her defense within a moment's notice while she... she only had...
However, it was during the moment those thoughts drifted through her mind that Elise could have sworn she felt her memory brought back into a vivid movie of sorts, hearing how Chise had spoken with Tetsuko's voice, which could only mean one thing: Ishihara Chise had kissed Tetsuko, she had kissed her girlfriend... her knight...
Even despite the fact she was aware that there were no feelings involved in the matter, that it was all part of a strategy Elise still felt quite upset about the matter. Certainly, it was just a kiss but, that was meant to be reserved just for her! Perhaps that had been the reason she had been in such a grumpy mood when the girl's name was mentioned and had avoided trying to talk to Chise lately.
The Princess of Support Studies might have had her knights, but the iron-blooded knight called Tetsuko Shindou was too precious for her to be willing to share. Before she realized it even the burgundy-haired lass found herself in front of the area the Cooking Club's 'empire' had occupied, and after taking one of the seats at a table waited to see for herself just what type of business the Cooking Club was up to.

They all agreed, they meaning Haruto and the rest of the members of the cooking club, would take turns running the club booth at the festival. Chise decided to take the afternoon shift so that she wouldn't have to worry about her narcolepsy medication failing her or falling asleep trying to serve the students that walked by. Chise was paired up with the fellow redhead in the cooking club, Rimma, whom she had gotten rather close with over the past few weeks. She had no problem with any of the members of the cooking club although it was nice to work with someone she knew and trusted. Chise had talked with Rimma and decided to do some frozen treats, specifically ice cream sandwiches to give a variety to the other offerings the booth would have. With a warm smile on her face and her signature pink frilly apron tied around her waist, for added appeal, Chise began selling hers and Rimma's homemade ice cream sandwiches. Rimma had offered to keep the sweet treats cool with her quirk, thinking it would be the best course of action so they wouldn't melt. Chise knew the other found large conversation a bit intimidating so she decided to take that job upon herself. Wouldn't want to make her good friend uncomfortable now!
As Chise was selling her sweet treats, her eyes caught wind of a familiar maroon haired girl glancing her way, locking eye contact for a split few seconds. She hadn't seen nor spoken to the Germanic girl since the Capture the Flag event Geist-sensei had held to which each girl took a part of. Chise hesitated for a moment as she was making a transaction with a customer, seeing the former general studies girl looking her way. The peach haired girl quickly snapped out of it and turned her attention to her customer, "A-Ah my apologies! Please enjoy your ice cream sandwich!" she said, trying not to show any falter on her face as she took the other's payment and watched as they went down to visit one of the other stalls. A shaky sigh left the violet eyed girl's lips as she put the money away in the safe they were given. "N-Ne Rimma, will you be alright taking over for a few minutes? I...I need to step away for a bit," she said, hoping the other would be alright on her own while she went to talk to the maroon haired girl. Chise took a few sandwiches that they had extra of and went over to Elise, hoping the other would be open to talk.

As expected the cooking club was doing extremely well, their booth had already gained a lot of attention, no doubt spearheaded by the reputation and rumors surrounding their leader's talents. It was remarkable to say the least, to think that a high school student could produce dishes that were on par with professional chefs and even better than plenty of those served at restaurants... It sounded like something straight from a shonen manga! Of course, she had been somewhat aware of the success of the booth, not only had she heard Tetsuko talking about it before, but she even had gone to visit the booth while Tetsuko was serving meals there, the sight of the iron-blooded knight playing the role of a waitress making Elise muse quietly at the idea of someday seeing Tetsuko in a maid uniform. Actually, no she better banish that thought quickly before she'd get distracted again.
Nonetheless, her visit this time was a bit less pleasant, no doubt because it had carried certain unpleasant memories within the Germanic lass. Perhaps she was childish, but she certainly didn't like the idea that Chise had kissed Tetsuko, the mere thought of it alone already souring her mood somewhat. She had spotted Chise serving at the booth, seemingly her usual self and after a moment where their gazes met Elise turned her attention elsewhere.
She still had no idea what had brought the decision for her to come here. Was it merely to check out the booth? No, she had already done that before and she would have preferred to come here while Tetsuko was serving dishes. No, it was clear to her that the reason for her visit was not the cooking club, but one of its members. Indeed, the reason she had decided to visit the cooking club was likely because a part of her insisted she needed to talk to Chise. Grudges and similar negative feelings were powerful, but also quite dangerous if given the chance to fester, and she knew all too well that Tetsuko liked it more when she was able to push away those dark emotions. After Kashima she had wanted to change, to no longer let such negative feelings cloud her mind, although that didn't mean that it was easy to accept this.
Footsteps approached her, no doubt the approach of Chise. Had she come here to ask her for an order? Now she thought about it, this was a booth after all, so it made sense that they would expect her to purchase something. A momentary pause lingered in the air before the burgundy-haired lass addressed her. "Chise..." What should she say, what should she do? At least her tone didn't sound hateful or anything, if she was honest she sounded pretty calm and almost friendly even despite the turmoil in her mind. "A glass of apple juice please, if there isn't any left just some water will suffice"
Who even ordered a glass of water?! That sounded like some poor joke, but she wasn't exactly in a funny mood either.

As Chise approached the maroon haired girl, it seemed the other had begun speaking before Chise could even get a word or 'hello' in. Chise blinked in confusion, hearing the other ask for a glass of apple juice. She didn't know if they even had apple juice at their stand, all she brought with her were some spare ice cream sandwiches. "O-Oh, I'll go and check. There's no need to pay, though, I-I'll cover it," Chise said in a sheepish voice, carefully handing the small bag of ice cream sandwiches to the maroon haired girl. "H-Here...these are for you. ...On the house," Chise said before turning and heading back to the stand to see if they had any apple juice in the cooler. Strangely, there still was some, perhaps from the last shift working at the booth. She apologized to Rimma that she would need to go back out, but it seemed the commotion had died down a bit for now. She felt guilty leaving Rimma by herself but she couldn't let this feeling bother her any longer than needed. Pouring a cup of apple juice for the Germanic girl, Chise went back over to the girl in question, slowly handing her the cup of juice she had retrieved.
"S-So, are you enjoying the festival so far? Seen any other club booths? Witness any fights or events?" Chise asked, trying to make small talk, beating around the bush of the main reason in question. Chise didn't know what this feeling was: nervousness, regret, fear, a combination? Whatever it was, she didn't like it at all. She didn't like to be in a dark spot like this, she needed to clear this else she be plagued by this negative feeling. "N-Ne...Elise...can we talk...about what happened? You know...during Geist-sensei's exercise?" she asked, her voice getting a bit softer as she spoke, her gaze even looking down at her feet, not wanting to look the Germanic girl in the eye in fear she lash out on her. "I think it's been weighing down on you as well," she said, knowing a lot of things happened during that exercise, things that needed to be cleared up, things that needed complete understanding of what was going on, motives behind people's reasoning, all of those things needed to be sorted out and clarified before they travel further down the rabbit hole of mixed emotions and jumbled views.
