After the earlier teams had left thier mark with the cooking club stall, it was time for the afternoon round to continue the medley of foodstuffs with a sweeter theme in mind.
"We should be able to set up and get the going pretty quickly." Tetsuko said aside to her two fellow cooking club companions as they made their way to the stall, ready to take over and get to work. They'd ultimately decided to make some sweets for their own stall, which mostly consisted of the kinds of things that they could easily make beforehand rather than serving hot off a grill. Thus, they could take a unique approach. That was, each of them could prepare their own stall-appropriate sweets, and work together at the stall to serve them and share whatever additions they might have brought!
"If either of you need any help, just let me know, Jack-san, Jun-san." The Shindou girl had already introduced herself once they'd met a short time ago before heading to the stalls, and had since then not shared many words outside of her usual formalities. Jun was a classmate she'd not spent much time with at all, Jack was someone she at least had the benefit of knowing beforehand thanks to their training session. He seemed a good kid. Hopefully, he wouldn't be too shy to handle any customers.
Once they arrived at the booth, Tetsuko would begin setting up her own stuff as Jun and Jack likely did the same. She'd carried a large plastic container with her to the booth, containing the desert she'd chosen to present to the festival goers: Good ol' dorayaki. These small pancakes made an excellent and tasty snack, were easy to preserve and serve, and the red bean paste used went well with dango if any of her fellow clubmates had decided to prepare that sweet.
"Let me know when you guys are ready to go." Tetsuko called back to Jun and Jack as she unloaded her own container, setting out some large plates of numerous dorayaki and a stack of reusable plates on the booth in front of her for any orders they might have.
It might have been a simple thing they were doing here, for a rather simple and unassuming club, but Tetsuko was actually really enjoying the distraction that this provided from all her other stresses related to the festival. The Cooking Club was perhaps her most unexpected joy from U.A., something she'd only ever joined to better control her own diet... Yet it had grown into a hobby that she thoroughly enjoyed, with clubmates whose presence was often pleasant.
Elise seemed to enjoy it too. Getting to eat Tetsuko's homemade cooking, that is.
Briefly, a small dopey grin appeared on Tetsu's face at the thought, before she shook her head and refocused on the task at hand. Once Jack and Jun were done setting up their own sweets of choice, and were standing beside her ready to serve any customers looking for an afternoon snack, Tetsuko presented her hands over her mouth like a megaphone and called out to the populace.
"The Cooking Club booth is open again! We have deserts now!"
It was time to satisfy some sweet teeth.

Perhaps being an overachiever wasn't the best trait to have when running a food stall.
As the three made their way over to the cooking club stall, each holding their respective container of treats for the masses, Jun couldn't help but scowl at what she held in her hands. The most complex pasty that was served at her grandparent's cafe- CoCo Coffee- had been the one the crystal girl had chose to recreate today for the festival goers. Mont Blanc- a creamy Italian chestnut cake that had taken Japan by storm- had been way too nerve-wracking to make more than one of even when she was at work. Even with the cakes that were lined almost too perfectly pre-made for her to simply pipe the frosting on, there was one too many steps there.
The other girl in the trio, Tetsuko, spoke up to the two of them and Jun would nod in return,"Mhm. Will do, Tetsuko~" She'd respond with a smile to the girl's offer of assistance, setting her container down once they arrived at the booth. It took longer than expected to unload so many tiny cakes, and she was regretting it tenfold by the time she was finished. Sadly, the icing part was a key factor in the recipe, and she had already prepped the piping bags full of them.
"Of course, I pick the absolute worst, most time-consuming..." Jun would sigh, slipping into annoyed English out of habit. Painstakingly, each individual cake would be frosted with a delicate yet also firm hand, her glasses slipping to the end of her nose as she leaned down. After the majority of the hard labor was done, she'd stretch out her back and arm before the final touches. Rubbing her hands together before parting them, small sugar crystal patches would be formed on the skin of her palm.
Clapping her hands together to break them, she'd sprinkle sparse shards on top of each one for a bit of crunch before leaning back and inspecting her work. For the time-frame she had, it was good work.
Displaying her pastries alongside Tetsuko's, she'd lean on the booth and cross her arms with a cheeky grin,"Ready when you are, Tetsuko~"

Ah, cooking, the most edible and entertaining art form of them all! Jack had always had a nack for cooking, despite the fact that, obviously, he was a dragon boy. However, he always had eyes for the arts, and cooking was honestly one of Jack’s personal favorites. The shear process of it all, followed by the looks of satisfaction people gave you when you did a really good job with that spaghetti or ice cream… It honestly filled Jack with a greater sense of pride than his combat skills. That’s why he didn’t even hesitate at the mention of joining the Cooking Club that U.A. held. The idea of improving his cooking alongside fellow classmates who shared this passion appealed greatly to the small boy. It also gave him an excuse to try and become more open with people, which was half the reason he decided to come to U.A. to begin with. Overall, the club was like a blessing from God Himself to the boy. He walked alongside Tetsuko, who he luckily had experience with thanks to their training session and grew to trust her greatly, and Jun, who admittedly was new to the boy, but seemed nice enough so far. It was the afternoon shift at the Sports Festival, and it was the three of them who were chosen to hand out desserts of their choosing. Jack skipped just a bit along in excitement, as he was ready to blow people’s minds with his dessert. Dragon Chef Jack is going to make his debut today! As the three of them began to enter the stall, Tetsuko kindly told Jun and him just to ask if they needed assistance. Admittedly, Jack was just a little scared as to how he would handle the people, but he was determined to make it through this, just to see the smiles on their faces! Jack would nod enthusiastically to Tetsuko in response, exclaiming ”Gotcha, Tetsuko-chan! I’ll be sure to let you know!” He would give her a big, toothy smile, even though he was usually a bit self-conscious of his rather large and sharp teeth. Jack would then begin to set up his own dessert: a rather large, yet clearly detailed, Oreo Cheesecake! It was his favorite dessert, and he was more than excited to show it’s glory to the people of Musutafu! It was clearly an American dessert, but the sheer size and detail put into it told people that Jack worked hard on what he considered his masterpiece. Jack used his tail to cut small enough slices so that plenty of people could enjoy it, using his hands to hold the spatula and plates so that each slice was fitted perfectly onto the plate. Once Jack had finished preparing all of the plates, he stood beside Jun as Tetsuko officially declared the stand open once more. He gave a big smile to the crowd paying attention to them, his rather large tail wagging a bit like a dog’s. He didn’t think too much of the fact that he might scare people with his smile, but he couldn’t help it! He was just too excited to make people happy with his dish! Hopefully the people would understand that as well!

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away Maybe she was a bit late but the thing was that she had a job to do before actually coming to Yuuei as she had obviously decided against writing about it as everyone would do that, maybe she would change her mind, depending on how it goes. It was like Disneyland for her, even if G's kids went to school here, she had never really asked what it was like, afraid that she could not keep her disastrous thoughts in front of her and she would spill the beans on why she would like to know, she had spoken to more Yuuei students in the past months but it had not occurred to her after that one fiasco to continue her research, she now had other plans. But the whole reason she was here was to be supportive, to show that when she had the time she would come and visit Haruuhi and Miku on important days that the school opened and they could show any ability for whatever the sports matches had planned. Thank god she had found a day program else she would have been lost in the crowd trying to find two children when there were too many of them everywhere. Truth be told it was interesting to see other students as well, but what was that? She smelled something that smelled delicious, her body instantly demanded her to get food. She stopped walking, trying to make sure no one would bump into her when she found the food stall and she looked at the goods before it was her turn in the queue. Cake, Cheesecake and Dorayaki. Suddenly she felt the heavy need to eat chocolate but she did not trust the opinion of her body. She was so thinking about what she wanted that when it was finally her turn, she was surprised to see Tetsuko. "Shindou-san, look at you." She said happily because well their conversation had been difficult but it was good to see the girl. She wondered if Eisenberg, Elise was it right, was around too. She looked over her shoulder to quickly order a piece of cheesecake. She wanted to order all but maybe she should come back later, ah heck why not. Maybe if she would find Miku or Haruuhi or both, she could share. "Could you ehm wrap up the dorayaki and a piece of that cake too?" Cheesecake would be her own, she wanted chocolate. As she set up her own sweets, so did her clubmates do the same. Jun Howland, a girl possessing a rather odd name, had seemingly opted to make Mont Blanc of all things... Clearly, much more experienced in the sweeter side of cooking than Tetsuko was. Or, perhaps, just much more ambitious. Once Jun was ready as well, Tetsuko nodded in affirmation to the girl. "Right. They're looking good, Jun-san." Tetsuko uttered out of courtesy more than anything else, thus far not having gotten much of a read on the other girl. It was natural for her to be two steps from someone she didn't know, and being one step closer wasn't coming while she still couldn't quite see what she was about.
Jack was a bit easier to read. Well, a lot easier, as Tetsuko had met him prior during some training. Some part of her held quite a high bar for the boy, if only in her hopes he might actually be able to fulfill the title of dragon he claimed, but mostly Tetsuko kind of saw him as an underclassman, even if he was the same age. Clearly, he was a bit on the more expressive and less thoughtful side, not one to interact too well with strangers - not the Tetsuko was any better - but he seemed to have some good intentions. At the very least, he was enthusiastic now, and had presented a dessert that seemed extremely American to Tetsuko, with how sickly sweet it looked! Though it wasn't her thing, there was no doubt that the sweet tooths around would jump right on it...
And sure enough, they had a few customers without much wait.
Business was pretty standard as it went on, Tetsuko and her compatriots serving their deserts either on disposable plates or wrapping them up for later use. It was menial, but enjoyable work, that became much more interesting once a certain familiar face was next in line. "Hanako-san!?" Tetsuko suddenly blurted out, her eyes widening and a smile forming on her face as she spotted the older woman. The one who'd helped get Elise's story out, someone she owed an incredible debt, someone who had been a shoulder to cry on in pressing times... A good friend, and Tetsuko was happy to serve a good friend.
"Ehe, it's good to see you, Hanako-san." Tetsuko uttered out, before listening to the woman's order. Dorayaki and a slice of the cheesecake, simple enough. "Jun-san, can you get a bag for her?" Tetsuko asked as she collected some Dorayaki for the woman, while signaling Jack to serve his cake. "Coming up in just a second, Hanako-san. You here for some more stories for your coworker?" Tetsuko asked simply, curious and in a good mood at seeing a fresh and familiar face. The Shindou girl wasn't the type to forget someone who'd helped her out in the past, and was very quick to realize that prior aid as a reason to be loyal in the future.

Jun had chosen to take the role of slacker in the group- leaning against one of the tables lazily while the others did most of the work. After all, her work was done when her dessert had been completed. She'd thought that this is what would consist of the rest of the time at the food stall. That was, until a rather ravishing lady strutted over to the wannabe pastry chefs,"Holy shit, Jack. She's a hottie!" The girl, now quite parched from just one look at her, nudged the shorter boy and whispered to him in English about their guest. Tetsuko called her Hanako, and it was all she needed to search through the phone book later to secure a victory.
The woman's mind was made and, though it saddened Jun that her Mont Blanc wasn't in it, she'd perk up from her slump and immediately move to get her a bag,"On it~" Jacket sleeves would be pushed to her elbows as she didn't want to contaminate both it and the food if she came near it, and the paper bag that Tetsuko had requested would be handed off to her. As that seemed like the only work she'd be doing for the time being, Jun would lean back against the table. Intrigued blue eyes would occasionally flicker up to look at the black-haired beauty, but she made it seem like she was anything but interested as she picked at her fingernails.
Once Jack had finished serving a slice of his cheesecake, she'd figure getting to know the more lax member of the trio would be better than looking completely useless, and she'd start off with a nod to him as an icebreaker,"Good presentation with your cheesecake, Scales." It wasn't her best work when it came to cleverly nicknaming someone, but it was a start. Jotting down a mental note in her scarily large mental notebook, she'd have to come back to it later. Now, however, teasing him came first,"It's no Mont Blanc, but I guess it passes as edible~" She'd give him a breathy chuckle from her nose, crossing her arms as she sized him up with a mischievous glint in her eye. Jun could have made a jab at his height or even his tail, but she wasn't entirely aware if he was self-conscious about such things. She'd grown up without having a problem with her appearance or confidence issues, but she wasn't about to start bullying a kid for something out of his control. The last thing she wanted to be known as was a jerk to mutations.
"I'm pullin' your leg, dude. Or... I guess your tail?" A bit of friendly jokes never hurt, but she wanted to make sure that he knew that she was indeed joking. Jun was all for teasing others playfully, but it was only playful if the other person knew so.
