In retrospect, this could've gone way smoother and it might've not been the best decision Jasmine Noir had ever made. Then again that statement could be attributed to a lot of what the American hero-in-training did. There was just something about her that consistently got her into a heap of trouble either with her peers, the faculty at the school, or even the authorities, on rare occasion (rare nowadays, anyway). Most of the time Jasmine was able to handle it in one way or another: a sarcastic comment or two, complete ignorance, indignation, or an outright punch to the face - she'd get out of those situations more or less unscathed through character alone.
Now, though? Well, while the situation didn't seem much different from what she usually had to deal with, the implications here could've gotten her into a metric shit ton of trouble. No, she didn't mean the three supposed delinquents that had cornered her at the dead end of an alley. No, she didn't mean the knife one of them held either. Naw, that was child's play, something that would make her scoff at best. No, the problem here was that this was the school sports festival. Not obvious enough? Okay.
Let's rewind a little bit.
The day had started simply enough for the blonde lioness. She woke up, showered, went through her morning training routine, showered some more (hygiene was important, okay?), ate her fill of food and decided to get some R & R. Not one to rest too often, when she did decide to take it easy Jasmine Noir could be comparable to a sloth: sprawled out on the couch in nothing but her underwear and a random T-shirt, sipping on coffee and digging into a slice of pizza while watching a random TV show, refusing to move anything other than her hands to get food. Yup. Not a sight one often gets to see.
Before long though she decided to stretch her legs a little so her joints didn't start aching from so much inaction. She slipped into some casual wear - black skinny jeans ripped at the knee, a simple white T-shirt and a black leather jacket - kicked into some black Jordan sneakers and left her and Rin's room, heading for the sports festival area.
The only clubs Jasmine was aware of were Darren's Martial Arts Club and her own Arts Club - and even the latter she was only vaguely familiar of by this point despite being the club president. Such is life when you're so damn focused on your own development. She really needed to pay more attention to her club members. They definitely deserved better than what she was giving them. In any case, it was a curious site to say so many stalls from so many different clubs around. She stopped by one or another, inspecting their wares, donating to one or the other who were giving all the proceeds to charity. She spent about two hours wandering around, simply getting acquainted with the many extra-curricular activities people had the chance to partake in at Yuuei.
Fast forward another thirty minutes and she saw them. Three little shits wearing a different uniform from Yuuei's own bullying one of the general studies kids. Oh that shit would not fly, and so the blonde lioness had mouthed off all kinds of profanities, eventually scaring them far, far away. To a borderline different galaxy. Hah, references.
Fast forward another twenty minutes and Jasmine, who was trying to get some phone reception to call Rin, had wandered into an alley where there weren't any people around - talking on the phone with hordes of people walking around, talking and laughing as though they were in a fucking warzone had been more annoying than she thought it'd be. So, after reaching the dead end of an alley, we come to the situation that we were in just previously. Those three aforementioned little shits had followed her in there, a little salty to have been talked down by a girl. It was obvious as day those three didn't know who the fuck Ember was and normally Jasmine wouldn't have given two shits... but the problem was that she couldn't exactly beat the crap out of kids from other schools - the principal would have her head on a fucking stake.
She sighed tiredly, raising her hands up in a slightly defensive manner, "Listen, turn around and take your asses out of here before you get hurt. I listen to rules but I swear to fuck if ya'll don't buzz off this will get hairy."
"Shut the fuck up, you whore," one of them spat, causing Jasmine's eyes to narrow dangerously, "you're going to pay for back there."
Assholes never learn, do they? Fuck, whatever was she going to do about this now?
