❛❛ Corpse King Niso Konto 15 || Asexual || Male || Hero |
PERSONALITY POSITIVE ✔ Hard working, Determined, Creative, never judges a book by its cover, Loyal NEGATIVE ✖ Disconnected, Secretive, Frail, Callous, Un-Ethical LIKES ✔ Cereal, Research/discoveries, Anime,Loopholes, unconventional Logic DISLIKES ✖ Snobs, social rules, anything sexual, Pears, beaches PERSONALITY Niso is a very unconventional hero. He is determined to become one regardless, but from the very nature of his power he feels he is ill equipped to become one. As such, he spends nights researching potential and unique uses of his power in the hopes of developing it into something more 'good'. With his unique views on his own power, Niso's view on the world is naturally unconventional too. He is disconnected from many social norms, ever tending to wear matching clothes unless it's a formal uniform, or caring much for keeping his room clean. While its hard for him to trust someone, he is loyal to them when that bond his formed, and feeling quite used to life crapping on him, he's one of the first to put himself in harms way before letting life kick someone else down in his stead. | APPEARANCE HEIGHT: 1.54m WEIGHT: 44 kg HAIR/STYLE: Niso has unruly messy hair that never touches his shoulders but is still thick, though that could just be how tangled up it all is. SKIN/SCARS: Pale, very pale. You'd think he had a quirk that made him immune to the sun. EYES: Dark blue eyes, with dark bags around the edges from many sleepless nights. NOTABLES: Anything specific to your character goes here. Niso is a frail looking human being who looks much like the corpses he can control and manipulate. His eyes are dark and his skin is pale, and it's somewhat clear that he has little care for personal hygiene half the time. He looks like he'd struggle with half the books he carries, and despite a strong appetite, finds it incredibly difficult to build muscles or fat. Its unclear if this is his own genetics, or an effect of his quirk making him 'corpse like'. |
❛❛In the lost I find use, and in that use I feel lost |
HISTORY Growing up, Niso felt he had a good future ahead of him. Both his parents were doctors with incredibly useful quirks for the field. His father held the ability to bring an organ or limb back to life if it was properly connected to the rest of the body, performing surgical feats that saved patients and repaired their lives in ways no other doctor could. His mother was a simple healer, able to close wounds and even cure low level illnesses at the cost of naught more than a small nap afterward in the more extreme cases. Watching his parents do such amazing things even from a young age was inspiring. As the years went on, Niso found his quirk didn't seem to be developing. He worried he may not have a quirk like his parents, but perhaps he just wasn't looking in the right places. His father told him about how hard it was to find out about his own quirk, given its unique use. It helped Niso stay determined, knowing he could have this weird unique quirk that was very niche, but perhaps very useful, and he spent his night researching similar cases, heroes and villains alike who had quirks that, in his eyes, would have been difficult to discover. As the years went on, he may have become a little disheartened, believing he had a quirk but just never knowing what it may be. Still, he wanted to do good, and from even the age of ten he started looking into biology and chemistry to follow his parents even without a quirk to aid him. Just as he was starting to look into schools specialized in what he wanted to become, Niso's life was hit with another little...itty...bitty...road bump. His mother died. Unaware to them, it seemed her ability to heal had a secondary side effect. While it seemed to only take a nap's worth of energy out of her at any time, the doctor's theorized it had cut her life span dramatically, as her organs showed the wither and decay of someone in their late 90s. Eve with her father's power their sadly just wasn't enough time, and before long Niso found himself, tears in his eyes, lingering over his mother as she lay quiet in her bed. He shut his eyes and pushed his face down into the sheets. He cursed a lot of things. Maybe he could have been born with a quirk to help her, maybe if she'd lasted a few more years he could have figured out his quirk, maybe if he hadn't been stuck in his room studying so much he could...have just had more time with her. Most of all he cursed the fact he didn't get one last hug. One last utterance of- "love...you..." The crackling, gravely voice hit his ears as he felt two weak, yet stiff arms wrap around him on the bed. His blurry eyes looked up to his mother, her eyes gazing almost through him, still cold and vacant, yet her lips had moved and those words had left her. He was both terrified yet hopeful...had...had she cheated death? No. Soon enough she slumped into the bed once again, and as he recounted the tale to his father he was in disbelief. Niso was sure something had happened, sure it wasn't some mad hallucination...but he couldn't convince his father. It was only a few months later, when finding a dead bird in his garden that he discovered it was him who had done it. With a sense of hope he'd approached the dead bird, and resting his hands upon it, watched it flicker back to life in his hands...eyes still cold and vacant like his mother's had been, but it moved, it jumped about...and briefly, it flew. In time he was able to prove it to his father too, and what had briefly been the hope of some mircaculous life giving quirk devolved into something a little more...horrific. Niso had the power to grant animation to corpses, and, while currently unconcious, those corpses only acted on his desires. The post-death words of his mother had only been what he wanted to hear, and as such, weighed on him in an odd way. Learning his power could only be used on the deceased, Niso felt the path of a villain was in his future...but he refused. He still wanted to be a hero, someone who could help people, and enrolled in a hero school in the hopes of learning ways his power could help rather than harm. His nights spent researching the living and how to keep them alive, were now spent researching the dead, and how to grant them a second use. |
