PERSONALITY Saito is a happy-go-lucky guy with a love of quips and painfully disgusting puns. He uses these as they are, mighty weapons of war, and treats them as such, using them in only the most appropriate of situations like when a classmate ends up hanging upside down by their own quirk. He's at his prime in a light atmosphere, where laughs and groans can be shared with friends, but that's not to say he's explicitly extroverted.
Despite his openness and outgoing attitude with making friends, social interaction is quick to tire the lad. He tries to maintain a cool composure in rough situations and is not below casual flirting with friends or strangers. He hasn't been obsessed with the idea of having a romantic partner, which in the midst of puberty is either a virtue or a curse, and he has no real preference or 'type'. He finds shy girls cute the same way he finds athletic ones attractive and studious boys adorable. He's just happy with whatever and seems to be more focused on personality than looks.
As his quirk is dependent on the functioning of his body, Saito makes a point of keeping himself fit and healthy, keeping himself busy on lazy days with cardio exercise. He also makes a conscious effort to keep himself calm in situations where he finds himself irrate. His short temper is not easily quelled, but he hates nothing more than being angry. This attitude directly contrasts with the way he studies.
Finding difficulty with many of the tricky subjects studied at UA, Saito gets frustrated with the complex curriculum, he prefers to spend his time in class doing more important things. Like very casually drawing pictures of dinosaurs eating the teacher. He's a very physical, tactile person, who prefers to speak with actions than with words, more than happy to hug strangers and offer a shoulder to those in need. Despite his short-fuse sometimes, he's a genuinely nice guy trying to be a genuinely nice hero.
| APPEARANCE HEIGHT: 1.8m WEIGHT: 80kg HAIR/STYLE: White and messy; Neck-length. SKIN/SCARS: Relatively tanned skin; stretch marks on limbs. EYES: Cyan-Blue NOTABLES: Bandaged extremities, fingernails revealed.
Saito isn't what you'd call a 'bishie', but he's not exactly unattractive. From the head down, Saito's hair is a dull, off-white colour that resembles a steel grey. He doesn't like having short hair, so it is worn relatively long and left to flow as the wind might take it. If it grows out too long he ties it up during training or exercise. His eyes are a distinct greenish blue colour, easily the most magnetic part of his face. He's well-known for having a piercing look, despite never meaning to make people uneasy. His lips are often curled in a mischievous smile.
His shoulders are broad and branch out two a pair of well-defined arms ending in surprisingly soft hands with slender fingers. With a relatively mild chest and barely present abdominal muscles, Saito's legs are defined and strong, capable of carrying him far.
His skin is lightly bronzed by his mother's genes and the time spent exercising in the sun. His arms, legs and waist are the home to a collection of invasive stretch marks as a result of his training and quirk. |
"The world isn't here to give you a reason to get up every morning. That's the sort of thing you find for yourself." |
HISTORYBorn to a humble teacher and celebrated doctor, Saito spent his childhood in a good home with his parents and a younger sister - Sasaki Yamada - for him to care for and look after as their lives took an all too steady decline. It started when, at the ages of 5 and 4, Saito's father was caught having an affair with a co-worker of his. The tensions were immediately cutthroat and before long, the marriage of 20 years had ended and the family was broken open like a sad, sad egg. At their age, the children weren't sure of why they were suddenly swept up in a long and arduous legal battle over who got custody of the children. Saito was at first made to wear a suit for children when he appeared in court, but as it went on and on over the course of two years, he became bitter and disillusioned. Angry, his school-life began to suffer. He refused to be touched and abused those around him. The teachers could only pry him away and watch with pity as the boy screamed and cried. Then he found his quirk.
It was a rough day at school, as usual, he'd been left to play by himself. Tiny things were all that was needed to set him off. Today, it was not finding his favourite colour of crayon in the box. Like a boulder had fallen into a still pond, the splash was devastating. Saito had no idea what was happening to him, his entire body felt as if it were on fire. It ached, but it was a good ache. He smashed the nearest table. He was so strong. So much stronger than the teachers who put their lives on the line to try to hold down the boy. He remembered a particularly gentle woman having to lean her knees into his back to keep him from ripping the hair from a classmate's head. It would've taken the slightest tug. Thankfully, the teacher in charge had called the school's 'Quirk Counsellor' who was quick to stick the boy with a sharp needle. Moments later, he was drowsy. Then he slept, the carnage of the broken, beaten classroom left to a simple dream.
Saito spent the next week in the hospital, being treated not for the injuries any regular human would've gotten from smashing wooden tables and punching floors, but for the extreme lack of salt, sugars and necessary vitamins and minerals in his body. At first, his parents were suspected of leaving him malnourished, but it turned out that this was a by-product of Saito's newly found quirk. With his anger issues having escalated so intensely, the boy was put into a management programme. After being shown the aftermath of his rampage; chairs strewn about, a table utterly shattered, his favourite teacher with the biggest bruise he'd seen, a girl crying softly, Saito felt something click in his mind. He wanted to become better.
Years passed and after a successful time of learning how to express his aggression in non-violent ways, Saito began to love cooking and painting but spent a good deal of his time learning about his quirk and exercising to keep his body fit. He knew his quirk was dangerous. Knew that if he'd let it off the leash, he could seriously hurt someone who didn't deserve to be hurt. Saito Yamada refused to accept this possibility. So he worked and trained as hard as he could, meditating in the evenings and going through strict regimens of exercise and self-contemplation. Even as a teen, he was satisfied with where his life was heading. He saw no use in his quirk. He would never aim to use it for his own gain and was antsy about the idea of fighting villains with it. Two paths had vanished. Perhaps the Olympics waited for him behind the pearly gates of chance. But then the laws changed and the world shifted like a great puzzle. UA. A school for 'heroes' opened and Saito saw a light so blindingly perfect that he was giddy even after sending in his application. With luck, his increased test scores and glowing recommendations from his recent P.E teachers and Quirk Trainers would score him a place to try out for the prestigious school.

Quirk: AbilitiesMundane Abilities
Young Man Chef Rank: F Effect: A lover of the culinary arts, Saito has become a rather respectable chef with a focus on meals and foods with plenty of nutritional value. His current favourite dish to make is his famous "All-The-Everything Omelette".
-- Rank: -- Effect: --
| Abilities Brawling Type: Skill Rank: F Effect: With anger management came an interest in punching stuff. Saito has become quite effective at using his fists to prod and jab his enemies to exhaustion or knock em down with a hefty right hook. As of now, he can fight with the technical skill of an experienced student boxer; a bit better than people who don't bother learning the ropes.

QuirkTyrant Mode Type: Transformation Rank: E Effect: Saito is capable of generating bursts of extraordinary, peak-human strength by hyper-accelerating blood flow throughout his body, giving his muscles more efficient access to oxygen and nutrients. His skin becomes taut, his muscular structure expanding against it and forming a natural armour capable of stopping a stabbing thrust from a reasonably sharp knife. While he is transformed, his skin glows bright red from deep within; throbbing veins appear in his neck, head and elsewhere and he begins to breathe a non-damaging steam from his mouth or nose. Any sweat present on his body evaporates immediately. His internal temperature skyrockets to approximately 80 degrees Celsius and skin temperature reaches close to 100 degrees Celsius. :: E-Rank Enhanced Strength :: E-Rank Dermal Armour :: E-Rank Extreme Body Heat
Drawback: During the transformation, Saito's body suffers slight attritional damage in the form of tearing muscles and increased lactic acid production; thus Saito cannot stand to be in Tyrant Mode for longer than a few minutes (2 posts) before his body begins to ache terribly. The main problem that occurs with his quirk is that the whole process requires immense amounts of energy from his body, which uses salt, calories and water in his system to fuel his rage. A short time (at most 2 posts) after Tyrant Mode ends, Saito usually goes into a hypermetabolic state, where his body devours as much of his remaining energy to keep itself at a level in which it can safely function. To counteract this, Saito has to eat large amounts of salty and high-calorie foods or risk going into shock (at least 1 post of eating). He would be mostly incapable of fighting during this time and cannot use Tyrant Mode again for a while or risk doing further damage to his body.
:: 3 Post (Maximum) Duration :: - Significant physical damage caused at 3 posts and any further uses
:: 2 Post (Minimum) Cooldown :: - Severe physical damage caused unless not used for 3 posts after form ends

He's well-known for having a piercing look, despite never meaning to make people uneasy. His lips are often curled in a mischievous smile.
His broad shoulders branch out two a pair of well-defined arms ending in large, calloused hands with long and rough fingers. As his combat strategies rarely go further than "punch to victory", his knuckles, in particular, are ragged and often torn and bloody. After a rough battle with Jasmine Noir, Saito accrued a slim scar on the back of his head - a reminder of his need to improve.
POSITIVE ✔ Optimistic ✔ Easy-going ✔ Approachable ✔ Altruistic ✔ Street-Wise
NEGATIVE ✖ Stubborn ✖ Self-deprecative ✖ Irritable ✖ Lazy ✖ Flirty

DISLIKES ✖ Being angry ✖ Schoolwork ✖ Certain people ✖ People crying ✖ Being lied to
Personality: Saito is a happy-go-lucky guy with a love of quips and painfully disgusting puns.
An introvert at heart, being with other people drains his energy and eventually makes him irritable if around the same people for too long without break. He tries to maintain a cool composure in rough situations and is not below casual flirting with friends or strangers. Breaking the ice isn't too difficult for someone with Saito's people skills, and it doesn't take long for Saito to befriend the strangest of strangers.
From past experience, Saito is plenty aware of what puppy love feels like and knows all too well the gaping emptiness left by someone.
As his quirk is dependent on the functioning of his body, Saito makes a point of keeping himself fit and healthy, keeping himself busy on lazy days with cardio exercise. He also makes a conscious effort to keep himself calm in situations where he finds himself irritated. His short temper is not easily quelled, but he hates nothing more than being angry. His anger is a deep-seated emotional blockade to Saito, who doesn't go into much of what makes him angry for the sole reason of not wanting to give people ammo against him. He has an almost universally positive outlook on people he meets and knows, but when disillusioned, is very quick to blame himself for things that he could not possibly have caused. Saito is prone to depressive states that he'd never call depressive - but bouncing back is one of his biggest strengths! Right?
Finding difficulty with many of the tricky subjects studied at UA, Saito gets frustrated with the complex curriculum, he prefers to spend his time in class doing more important things; such as doodling in his books. He's a very physical, tactile person, who prefers to speak with actions than with words, more than happy to hug strangers and offer a shoulder to those in need. He loves to fix problems with his hands and his heart, where his head need not apply. Despite his short-fuse sometimes, he's a genuinely nice guy trying to be a genuinely nice hero.

With his anger issues having escalated so intensely, the boy was put into a management programme. After being shown the aftermath of his rampage; chairs strewn about, a table utterly shattered, his favourite teacher with the biggest bruise he'd seen... Saito was horrified. At first, he refused to be blamed, tossing names and calling out causes - triggers - as if the one at fault were the ones not in a hospital bed. Eventually, Saito conceded. It took the begging of his parents, the tears of his sister, promises of better times, but he finally agreed to go into an anger-management programme.
Years passed and after a successful time of learning how to express his aggression in non-violent ways, Saito began to love cooking but spent a good deal of his time learning about his quirk and exercising to keep his body fit. He knew his quirk was dangerous. Knew that if he'd let it off the leash, he could seriously hurt someone who didn't deserve to be hurt. Saito Yamada refused to allow this. With luck, his increased test scores and glowing recommendations from his recent P.E teachers and Quirk Trainers would score him a place to try out for the prestigious school.
When Saito had enrolled, he did so quite late into the school year and was having trouble getting to know classmates. He stayed more or less to himself until he slowly came out of his shell. Despite his pitiful grades and the ever-growing pool of people determined to do stupid, awful things, Saito knew he'd made the right choice in coming to UA. Quirk: SAITO YAMADA QUIRK INFORMATION Quirk Tyrant Mode Type: Transformation Rank: E Description: Saito is capable of generating bursts of extraordinary, peak-human strength by hyper-accelerating blood flow throughout his body, giving his muscles more efficient access to oxygen and nutrients. His skin becomes taut, his muscular structure expanding against it and forming a natural armour capable of stopping a stabbing thrust from a reasonably sharp knife or the blunt impact of a mundane hammer. While transformed, portions of skin glow bright red from deep within; throbbing veins appear in his neck, head and elsewhere and he begins to breathe non-damaging steam from his mouth or nose. Any sweat present on his body evaporates immediately. His internal temperature skyrockets to approximately 80 degrees Celsius and skin temperature reaches close to 120 degrees Celsius. He seemed unaffected by the temperature change. As of right now, it's assumed Saito is capable of much more than his quirk is currently able to do. Through practice and effort, he will unlock further echelons of his quirk's true strength - and the horrific cataclysm that waits at the end. Effects: While transformed, for a maximum of 3 posts, he gains the following; :: E-Rank Enhanced Strength - (Capable of damaging Stone) :: E-Rank Dermal Armour - (Capable of withstanding a few E-rank attacks) :: E-Rank Extreme Body Heat - (Capable of causing 1st-degree burns on contact) At any point, if cognitively capable, Saito can pause the transformation - returning him to a neutral state. Doing this does not reset his duration, nor activate his cooldown, instead, he may later continue to use his quirk as if it wasn't stopped until the duration is reached. (For example, if Saito uses his quirk for a single post and stops at the end of that post, he may use it for two more future posts until the duration limit is reached.) After this point, Saito goes through a cooldown of 2 posts before being able to use Tyrant Mode again. Drawback and Weaknesses:During the transformation, Saito's body suffers slight attritional damage in the form of tearing muscles and increased lactic acid production; thus Saito cannot stand to be in Tyrant Mode for longer than a few minutes (2 posts) before his body begins to ache terribly. The main problem that occurs with his quirk is that the whole process requires immense amounts of energy from his body, which uses salt, calories and water in his system to fuel his rage. A short time after Tyrant Mode ends, Saito usually goes into a hypermetabolic state, where his body devours as much of his remaining energy to keep itself at a level in which it can safely function. Activating Tyrant Mode again after it's cooldown may postpone this. To counteract it, Saito has to eat large amounts of salty and high-calorie foods or risk going into shock. He would be mostly incapable of fighting during this time and cannot use Tyrant Mode again for a while or risk doing further damage to his body. If Tyrant Mode is in anyway cancelled (either before or during the actual transformation), Saito suffers from hypersensitive nerves all over his body, which cause significant pain whenever his skin touches anything. Saito has various superficial problems that have arisen due to the nature of his quirk. Aspects of it remain even outside of use, suggesting that it might be, in a way, constantly active. Saito's internal and external body temperatures are abnormal, about 10 and 20 degrees higher than average respectively. This makes Saito slightly resistant to cooler temperatures, like Winter days, wherein he may not need to bundle up as much as others. Saito is biologically incapable of shedding tears. While able to cry, he has never been able to shed tears from his tear ducts as - supposedly - every ounce of water in his body is so vital to survival, his body refuses to spare any more than is necessary to keep his eyes healthy. As a side note, Saito ends up suffering from dry eyes quite frequently. Perhaps the most severe drawback is the uncontrollability of Saito's quirk. Seemingly fueled by rage, Saito can unconsciously activate Tyrant Mode if he becomes sufficiently angry. While in an enraged state, he is pointedly difficult to control or calm down and is more than capable of harming friend and property. Imagine if a dinosaur watched you steal its eggs and it came roaring after you - That's what it's like to be chased down by Saito. Under the trance of his anger, Saito loses his ability to judge his limits and will most likely deal plenty more damage to himself than to others by pushing his quirk too far. He is capable of dying in this state from malnourishment and desiccation. Theoretically, he may be capable of accessing deeper pools of strength while enraged, but this is only a theory and very doubtful to be true. After all, rage is a high unlike any other. MUNDANE ABILITIES Young Chef Saito Rank: F Effect: A lover of cooking random stuff, Saito has become a rather respectable chef with a focus on meals and foods with plenty of nutritional value. His current favourite dish to make is his famous "All-The-Everything Omelette". His speciality lies in curries, stews, soups and other such dishes.
Bishie Rank: F Effect: Do you remember when I said Saito wasn't a bishie? Well, I lied. Saito is decidedly attractive. With a tall, muscular frame; dark skin; bright eyes; a deep voice and brilliantly snarky, flirty way of going about things, Saito is capable of using his literally above average handsomeness in a variety of ways. He may not be winning any contests, but he'll definitely start turning heads as he gets older.
COMBAT ABILITIES Tyrant's Maw Type: Skill Rank: F Effect: After some experimentation, Saito has learned his true calling in battle. Grappling. Or, to put it a better way, clutching hold of his opponent and never letting go. Capable of devastating suplexes, bear hugs and crocodilian death-rolls, Saito can either wrap his entirety around an opponent to control them or wrench away their flesh with the vice grip of his hands. A brutal, but undeniably functional, way to fight.

Edited to fit the new abilities and new quirk mechanics Adding 1 E-rank combat, 1 F-rank combat and 2 F-rank life skills Equals 500 exp Pls take exp from this acc and from Kelolon Saito should end up with 180 remaining Check out above posts for Old Quirk --------------------------------------------------------------------------- SAITO YAMADA QUIRK INFORMATION Quirk Tyrant Mode Type: Transformation Rank: E Description: Saito is capable of generating bursts of extraordinary, peak-human strength by hyper-accelerating blood flow throughout his body, giving his muscles more efficient access to oxygen and nutrients. His skin becomes taut, his muscular structure expanding against it and forming a natural armour capable of stopping a stabbing thrust from a reasonably sharp knife or the blunt impact of a mundane hammer. He seems unaffected by the temperature change. As of right now, it's assumed Saito is capable of much more than what he can currently withstand; that his quirk is already as powerful as it can become, but his own body and psychology limits his strength. Through practice and effort, he will unlock further echelons of his quirk's true power - and the horrific cataclysm that waits at the end.
Benefits:
- E-Rank Enhanced Strength
- E-Rank Dermal Armour
- E-Rank Extreme Body Heat
Exhaustion and Weakness: During the transformation, Saito's body suffers slight attritional damage in the form of tearing muscles and increased lactic acid production; thus Saito cannot stand to be in Tyrant Mode for longer than a few minutes before his body begins to ache terribly.
Perhaps the most severe drawback is the uncontrollable nature of Saito's quirk. Seemingly fuelled by rage, Saito can unconsciously activate Tyrant Mode if he becomes sufficiently angry. While in an enraged "Berserk" state, he is pointedly difficult to control or calm down and is more than capable of harming friend and property. He is capable of dying in this state from sudden malnourishment and desiccation. Theoretically, he may be capable of accessing deeper pools of strength while enraged, but this is only a theory and very doubtful to be true. After all, rage is a high unlike any other.
COMBAT ABILITIES Tyrant's Maw "Caught in his jaws, one may only struggle." Rank: F Effect: After some experimentation, Saito has learned his true calling in battle. Opponents caught in Saito's clutches require Strength EQUAL TO or HIGHER than the rank of this skill to escape.
Tyrant's Sinew "With one hand, he cast the king aside and sat the throne." Rank: E Effect: As a result of diligent training and exercise, Saito has become stronger than the average person. Now capable of lifting 600kg and of performing feats of relative strength, his musculature has increased to fit this change.
Tyrant's Tenacity "Their surrender served only to intensify his onslaught." Rank: F Effect: Through cardiovascular exercise, Saito has accrued an impressive stamina and as such, can continue fighting, running or otherwise exerting his utmost effort for longer.
SPECIALIST ABILITIES Ability name Rank: (Rank of ability) Effect: (Effect of ability)
Ability name Rank: (Rank of ability) Effect: (Effect of ability)
LIFE SKILLS Pathfinder Rank: F Effect: Throughout his life, Saito has obtained a true adoration for the art of exploring. He uses his keen sense of direction and instinctual intuition when it comes to travel and navigation to mentally map out the places he explores with astounding detail. At this rank, accidentally getting lost in cities he knows well is nearly impossible; he can navigate unknown areas efficiently with the correct clues/tools and he has a compass-accurate awareness of the magnetic north (though this can be disrupted in various ways). As he has lived and explored Musutafu for a while, he now has a 1:1 knowledge of the overall city area, capable of giving out accurate information on travel times, distances, directions and even the social attitude of that part of town. That being said, Musutafu is a huge place and he knows nothing about areas he has not, cannot or will not visit, such as prohibited areas and private property.
Chef Yamada Rank: F Effect: A lover of cooking random stuff, Saito has become a rather respectable chef with a focus on meals and foods with plenty of nutritional value. His current favourite dish to make is his famous "All-The-Everything Curry". His speciality lies in curries, stews, soups and other such dishes. Saito's also knowledgable in nutrition and allergies, allowing him to prepare foods for those with very specific needs, such as vegans and those with gluten intolerance.
Handyman Rank: F Effect: Saito, always the kinesthetic learner, has gained an affinity for DIY and crafts. He has a pretty strong understanding of how to build, fix and maintain everyday objects, including furniture, standard electrics, plumbing and other such houseware. His skills fail when it comes to advanced technology and weaponry.

APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY Appearance:
Saito isn't what you'd call a 'bishie', but he's not exactly unattractive either. From the head down, Saito's hair is a dull, off-white colour that more resembles a light grey. His eyes are a distinct greenish blue, easily the most magnetic part of his face. His slim lips are often curled in a mischievous smile or bored frown. Saito rarely suffers facial hair, growing greyish stubble on the occasions he doesn't shave. His broad shoulders branch out two a pair of well-defined arms ending in strong, calloused hands with long fingers. Below a groomed chest and defined abdominal muscles, Saito's legs are broad and strong, capable of carrying him far. His arms, legs and waist are the home to a collection of invasive, though nicely healed, scars and burns as a result of his training and quirk.
He frequents jackets and jeans, most famously a vibrant red hoodie. While Saito claims to have outgrown the look, he still enjoys wearing coats over shirts and is a big fan of sunglasses. Saito’s style is consistent and, while he likes looking good, usually isn’t something he puts tons of thought into.

Personality: Saito is a happy-go-lucky guy with a love of quips and painfully disgusting puns.
He isn't obsessed with the idea of having a romantic partner, which in the midst of puberty is either a virtue or a curse, and he has no real preference or 'type'. He finds shy girls cute the same way he finds athletic ones attractive and studious boys adorable. He's just happy with whatever and seems to be more focused on personality than looks. From past experience, Saito is plenty aware of what puppy love feels like and knows all too well the gaping emptiness left behind when someone leaves. He is very confident in his body and has no qualms with wearing women’s clothing, putting on make-up, dressing in silly costumes or even cosplay.
As his quirk is dependent on the functioning of his body, Saito makes a point of staying fit and healthy, keeping himself busy on lazy days with the best of cardio exercises - walking.
He's a very physical, tactile person, but is also empathetic when he wants to be, more than happy to hug strangers and offer a shoulder to those in need. He loves to fix problems with his hands and his heart, where his head need not apply.
HISTORY Born to a humble teacher and celebrated doctor, Saito spent his childhood in a good home with his parents and a younger sister - Sasaki Yamada - for him to care for and look after as their lives took an all too steady decline. It started, as the Yamada children were of the ages of 5 and 4, Saito's father was caught having an affair with a co-worker of his. The tensions were immediately cutthroat and before long, the marriage of 20 years had ended and the family was broken open like a sad, sad egg. At their age, the children weren't sure of why they were suddenly swept up in a long and arduous legal battle over who got custody of the children. Saito was at first happy to wear a suit for children when he appeared in court, but as it went on and on over the course of two years, he became bitter and disillusioned. He'd scorn his parent's whole-hearted attempts to keep him happy.
Thankfully, the teacher in charge had called the school's newly appointed 'Quirk Counsellor' who was quick to stick the boy with a sharp needle. Moments later, he was drowsy. Then he slept, the tyrant's ransacking of the broken, beaten classroom left to a simple dream. After being shown the aftermath of his rampage; chairs were strewn about, a table utterly shattered, his favourite teacher with the biggest bruise he'd seen...
So he worked and trained as hard as he could, sleeping early in the evenings and going through strict regimens of exercise and self-contemplation.
Saito, partway into his education, realised he had no intention of becoming a hero. At least not a modern interpretation of one. He saw no future in fighting, in violence. Instead, Saito saw his path appear in the form of the careers open to him. But even now he wishes to at least find something that can help him give back to the people that helped him through his life. NEW QUIRK: SAITO YAMADA QUIRK INFORMATION Quirk Tyrant Mode Type: Transformation Rank: E Description: Saito is capable of generating bursts of strength by hyper-accelerating blood flow throughout his body, giving his muscles more efficient access to oxygen and nutrients. His internal temperature skyrockets to approximately 60 degrees Celsius and skin temperature reaches close to 90 degrees Celsius. He seems unaffected by the temperature change, which would usually be a medical emergency, but only while in control. At the same time, he gains an innate resistance to weaker bacteria, viruses, poisons and toxins as his body becomes hot enough to destroy them outright. As of right now, it's assumed Saito is capable of much more than what he can currently withstand; that his quirk is already as powerful as it can become, but his own body and psychology limits his strength. Through practice and effort, he will unlock further echelons of his quirk's true power - and whatever waits at the end.
Benefits:
- E-Rank Damage
- E-Rank Dermal Armour
- E-Rank Poison/Toxin Resistance
Exhaustion and Weakness: During the transformation, Saito's body suffers slight attritional damage in the form of tearing muscles and increased lactic acid production; thus Saito cannot stand to be in Tyrant Mode for longer than a few minutes before his body begins to ache terribly.
As a side effect, Saito ends up suffering from dry eyes quite frequently.
Perhaps the most severe drawback is the temperamental nature of Saito's quirk. Seemingly fuelled by rage, Saito can unconsciously trigger Tyrant Mode if he becomes sufficiently angry. While in an enraged "Berserk" state, he is pointedly difficult to control or calm down and is more than capable of harming friends and property. His quirk also acts as a kind of self-preservation measure that appears frequently when he is sick. Saito’s body overcompensates for the severity of even a basic flu and uses the heat it generates in a way to obliterate whatever’s ailing him, instead of relying purely on the body’s immune system. This causes Saito to enter what has been colloquially called a ‘burn-out’ state, leading to unconsciousness, internal burning and various other complications.
COMBAT ABILITIES Tyrant's Maw "Caught in his jaws, one may only struggle." Rank: F Effect: After some experimentation, Saito has learned his true calling in battle. Opponents caught in Saito's clutches require Strength EQUAL TO or HIGHER than the rank of this skill to escape.
Tyrant's Sinew "With one hand, he cast the king aside and sat the throne." Rank: E - [Strength] Effect: As a result of diligent training and exercise, Saito has become stronger than the average person. Now capable of lifting 600kg and of performing feats of relative strength, his musculature has increased to fit this change.
Tyrant's Tenacity "He smiled when he declined their unconditional surrender." Rank: F - [Stamina] Effect: Through cardiovascular exercise, Saito has accrued an impressive stamina and as such, can continue fighting, running or otherwise exerting his utmost effort for longer.
Tyrant’s Stride "Safety is not assured, regardless of distance." Rank: F - [Speed] Effect: As an athletic individual, Saito has steadily gained the aptitude to run at high speeds.
SPECIALIST ABILITIES Rebel’s First Rule "Rule number one; don’t die." Rank: F - [Survivalist] Effect: Saito has trained in Japan’s mountainous and forested areas for the last of his school years and has grown adept at survival. He can navigate unfamiliar terrain, find food and water, can make shelter and fires and can otherwise keep himself alive in the wild. However, his abilities struggle when he has to care for or protect others.
At this rank, accidentally getting lost in cities that he knows well is nearly impossible; he can navigate unknown areas well enough with the correct clues/tools and he has a compass-accurate awareness of the magnetic north (though this can be disrupted in various ways). He specialises in the town’s backstreets and alleyways, knowing many hidey holes and shortcuts.
Chef Yamada Rank: D Effect: A lover of cooking, Saito has become a respectable chef with a focus on meals and foods with plenty of nutritional value. His current favourite dish to make is his own take on Japanese curry rice. His speciality lies in curries, baked food, stews, soups and other such dishes. He has also become quite competent at making candies, desserts, sweets and even specialist chocolates. At this level, he can sell his services as a cook. Saito is very knowledgeable in nutrition, safe cooking methods and allergies, allowing him to prepare foods for those with very specific needs, from simple vegan diets to extreme intolerances.
Handyman Rank: F Effect: Saito, always the kinesthetic learner, has gained an affinity for DIY and crafts. He has a pretty strong understanding of how to build, fix and maintain everyday objects, including furniture, standard electrics, plumbing and other such houseware. His skills fail when it comes to advanced technology, circuitry, non-conventional objects and weaponry.
