Demon Machine
i no longer fear ending my hell
The first group had come and gone and it was time for another round. There were definitely some interesting results and a crowd had even formed to check out what was going on. With all the side attractions and games before the main events, this was a good side activity for those that wanted to take part and those that wanted to watch. Seeing the results of students training and the capabilities of the machines being produced really helped out both sides. The students got to show off their strength and pull out some really amazing moves. And on the flip side, Nyke was able to test the mettle of her machines and really give them the showing she needed to entice the school into using them. Everything was going well and the team was now set up for the next round of contenders. Surely there were some students that were watching before and wanted to take part, so this was their chance to do so.
There were two folding tables set up with a portable generator between them. It was being used to power the cameras and laptops that were stationed around the area to record the battles that were taking place. A canvas canopy covered the tables to protect from any falling debris that might be flung over at the workstation. Sitting at one of the tables in her school uniform was a student from Yuuei, Nyke Nora. She was the one in charge of the robotics club and the mastermind behind the machine being tested today. Every member of the club had their own thing they wanted to work on. Kanna wanted a battlesuit, Kyla wanted to make Nasods and Nyke; she wanted to create this combat machines. Drones the school could use to improve the combat capabilities of her classmates. With her were three develops from the Hellion Corporation. They were a company that was moving into the heroes business by creating all kinds of peacekeeping devices and weapons to help professional heroes out. They were responsible for the heavy lifting behind the robots and thanks to hellion, this whole project was helpful.
At the moment, the team was gathering the debris and remains from the previous exercise. The machines were designed to be easily put back together after being destroyed. It was the core design philosophy behind their creation. They were to be damaged and blown up, so they needed to be put back together with ease. The most important and harder to replace parts of the machines were in protective casings that could be reused while the rest had break points that could be replaced much easier than the more sensitive components. So once everything was set, and the metal remains dumped into one of the three trailers that sat behind the tables the next group could step forward and join the fun. With all the flyers around the sports festival encouraging others to join, surely students would show up and give this combat exercise a try.
