Today was a prime example of a perfect day, the skies where bright and clear showing the pristine light blue. The winds, gentle and almost caressing to the skin, chilliness counteracted and nullified by the gentle rays of the sun that over watched the day. It was the type of day people got outside of their houses and sat in the park for no other reason then to bask in nature's remedies. It truly was a worthwhile day to have a festival in, inside the experimental Yueei Academy.
Chikako Safaia was struggling, she was trying to set up the Art Club's Stall by herself but she had very sub-par physical abilities so it took her a while to pick up the pieces of wood. It took her a good give-minutes of wrestling with the actual wooden stall that she made a while back to actually get it standing upwards from it's former laying down position. After that, it got a little easier, she only had to put up the metallic easels and stands strategically around so they could see some of the work that Chikako has done. One of them was a mimic of the Mona Lisa, however, re-imagined with a modern styling with steeliness colors and a polished up feel. Another, the pristine Priwen covered and swarmed by the darkness and swarmed by vicious demons. Those where the two in front to grab attention while the rest where more basic in comparison, portraits of her family she drew with a x above her head in the picture. Those more normal artistic pictures to show more practical pieces that people would want to request from the art's club.
'A simple rule of modeling works like this, grab them with flashiness and then show practical to solidify them staying. Hopefully, this will work', she thought to herself as she tried to straighten the pictures as much as possible trying to have a very presentable front. She placed down an album full with photos she had on the left part of the table next to a clipboard on the right with blank paper so people can write their name and request what type of art piece they would want.
'Will any of the other art students show up?', she thought to herself making some space on the stall and put up some empty easels so they could put their own art down if they did show up. 'I sent a message to them all, but they are not a very responsive bunch. I think...um...jazzy was it responded?', she thought to herself hoping that she would not be the only one here. She was not good with people and being by herself might turn this pleasant event for her into a living nightmare if to many people flocked to the stall without anyone to help her navigate through them all.
'This is not the time to be anxious', she thought to herself and slapped both of her cheeks before she picked up a poster and stuck it on top of the stall's head with a piece of tape which read 'FREE ART AND PHOTOS, ONE PER PERSON! FIVE DOLLAR DONATION TO THE ART CLUB FOR EVERYONE AFTER!'. She blushed as she read it and got behind the stall and sat down on the chair, wanting to sit down tired from all the heavy equipment she had to carry here and all the lifting she had to do.
She closed her eyes and took a big breath in and out. Opening her eyes, she looked at the growing crowd coming to the festival and began to wave her hand to hope she garnered a little of attention.

The sun shone on the campus, and as the crowds of people bustled around the school, their voices floating around like a summer breeze swiftly moving through the trees, Tsuji stepped forth into the fully glory of it all - the Sports Festival was here. He'd spent most of his free time training, but he wanted to look around to the actual... festivity part of the festival. Besides, he was thinking of getting more engaged within the school lifestyle, and seeing that some stalls were being set up for them, joining some form of club would be a positive idea.
The only problem was thinking of which one to go with - he knew of a few clubs, like Robotics, but he felt as though he should build more friendships in the future than build the future of science, as it wasn't his style. Sports club could be fun, but Tsuji figured he already had his bases covered in that regard. Martial Arts could be neat, but his form of training was a lot less precise and involved more climbing and lifting, either in the school or in the mountains and forests. Cooking was a viable option, as Tsuji could catch fish but not cook them properly, he got his father do it, usually.
There was another option: Art. Tsuji didn't entirely remember there was an art club, until he was reminded by a very small, rickety stall, wherein a female student was waiting. There was a poster on the stall too, mentioning free art. Tsuji shrugged and said, "Why the hell not?" and began to walk towards the stall. Maybe he could get a landscape of himself. Or a portrait? He couldn't remember the difference.

Yumi was running a little late for a change. Ever the kind to try and be early, her rush towards the art stall had been a bit delayed thanks to needing to find some examples of her work. The arts club was doing a bit of a ‘we draw you’ think and while Yumi couldn’t do realism, and her anime style left something to be desired, she was very good at western cartoon styles, and had made a version of herself in the adventure time, steven universe, and other cartoon styles just to make sure that everyone who requested her had an example of what they might be getting.
With those examples and some small little clippable stands for them to be put on, she’d rushed over to the art stall, a little surprised at herself for not being out of breath and remembering to thank past Yumi for all the work they’d been putting into her body so they could keep up with their classmates. She smiled warmly at the girl who was already waiting there, pretty sure it was a classmate, and already glad she might have the chance to talk to her between commissions.
“Heeey! Sorry I’m late! Hope setting this up wasn’t too hard for you…” She scooched in, trying to take up just the smallest amount of space she could as she put up her art all to one side, with a tiny accompanying note of ‘Cartoon Styles’ to explain what was being shown should anyone be interested. Yumi was just a little frantic putting it down before turning to the girl and shaking her hand. “Really really sorry, I was just needing to get some examples of my art before I came down. Can’t have people spend 5 dollars without knowing what they might be getting right?” She smiled warmly, the corner of her eye catching the bear man walking over, pulling back into herself a little in just sheer surprise. Mutations were always respected by the red head but wow they could still catch her off guard.

Aw, fuck. She had completely forgotten all about it. The damn festival offered a means for each club to show off their goods and Jasmine Noir, being the goddamn president of the art's club, had gotten all lost in her head due to the hype that the more... physical part of the festival brought with it. It wasn't until one of their newer members typed up a quick reminder in their chatroom that she was brought out of her dumbfounded stupor of hype. She kept cursing under her breath as she very quickly decided on a plan of action, collecting all of the necessary materials she'd need to whip up something of a show... that and she made sure to snag some pastries, cupcakes, and donuts from the nearby bakery on her way as a form of apology for being late (and dumb). Luckily enough Jasmine had prepared some fairly large cut-outs for several stencil pieces she had been planning on conjuring up so deciding what to do next came as a no-brainer. She very quickly strapped the human sized pieces on her back using a small belt she had stolen from Rin's drawer and then proceeded to gather the rest of what she'd need - cans of spray paint for her stencil art, several eyeliner pencils with different colors if anybody fancied a temporary tattoo, a few henna cones if anybody wanted to get all exotic and asked for mehndi body art, and, finally, her actual tatooing set if anybody had the balls to go through with it. Now that the blonde lioness had quite a few tattoos herself she figured she might as well try it out on other people. Rolling up the sleeves of her leather jacket and kicking her feet into her sneakers, Jasmine burst into an incredibly fast dash down the halls of the girls' dormitory, heading straight for the club area. It didn't take her too long after she snagged the aforementioned snacks and within ten minutes she was already there. "Shit, sorry I'm late. You guys alright? Not too much trouble setting up the stall?" She began asking, winking at Yumi as she set down her duffel bag on the ground and left the large cut-outs next to the stall. Then she glanced at Chikako, a little angry at herself for not knowing about a new member. "Hey, I'm Jasmine. Feel free to call me Jaz. The irresponsible as heck club president," she pressed her palms against one another and offered a short bow. " Reaaaaaaaaaaaaally sorry for being late. Hope these," she then lifted the bag of snacks she had brought with her, "will make up for it."

Junko was out and patroling the area, making sure it was safe for everyone. After all, a large gathering of heroes and future heroes will draw the eyes of people, all kinds of people, even the villanous kind. That is why she had to be ready and work. Sure no one told her to patrol the area or anything, but that didnt stop the blue teacher. She was gonna show everyone that she is a hero. She wont be late for action this time. Never again
As she walked she noticed some stalls for each and every club. She decided to check on these stalls and the students to see how they were doing before moving on. The closest one was the Arts Club stall. It was obvious by the poster which said 'FREE ART AND PHOTOS, ONE PER PERSON! FIVE DOLLAR DONATION TO THE ART CLUB FOR EVERYONE AFTER!'. Free art sounded lovely, but she had no place to hold any art, besides she was on duty. As she approached she saw two familiar faces Chikako and Yumi. And then she also saw bear... a bear person. And then there was also a blonde, which was probably Jasmine, the 1A girl she heard about When she arrived at the stall, she greeted the students "Greetings. How are all of you?"

Chikako Safaia smiled as she saw the bear person approach, she did not expect for someone to come so early to the stall that was just her. She pointed at the blank book, the words 'name' and 'request' on the book, it would help her understand what the costumer wants anyway. She could not exactly hear them, so this was the best alternative for everyone; as a bonus it made them look a hell of a lot more legit!
She saw Yumi appear, she never had the pleasure to meet this girl before, but from the stumbling bits of arts pieces she assumed she was one of the other Art Club memories; just one that did not respond in the Art Club group chat. It was a very reassuring thing to know she would not be on the front lines alone, after all. Like she thought before, it could ave became a relaxing day into a vexing nightmare. Her smile turned into a grin as she waved Yumi towards them and seemed to offer her seat to the young colleague.
Then another face showed up, but it seemed that she was even more panicked then Yumi was. Chikako watched, only picking up some of the words she said. She grabbed a second book, her personal one, and began to write on the book "Hi my colleagues. I am deaf, so I apologize but I do not understand either of you two", she flashed the book at those two and then looked at the snacks. She did not want to be rude, so she took one, but she did not want to take any more she had been gaining a pound or two since she came here and it bugged her.
Then her homeroom teacher showed up. 'Wow, so many people,I did not expect that...', she thought to her self wide eyed. She picked up the book after waving too the teacher and wrote "What do you want, Junko-Sensei?", she said with a grin. Happy that she'd be able to even give a piece of her heart, her art, towards even the teachers.

Tsuji noticed that a few more people had joined in onto the art stall, which while he wanted to talk and interact with more people, he was kinda hoping that talking about and getting some art would be a more one-on-one thing, but at least he could get some more information. The others that were there looked excited to be there, but additionally there was another person. She was relatively tall, and looked quite blue. Literally. Tsuji couldn't remember her name on sight, but he had seen her around the school, and knew she was the homeroom teacher for 1-C, but that was about it The main girl at the stall was showing off a book to her, which, upon closer inspection, had a message seemingly meant for her written on it. "Ah, it must be cause of the noise.", he thought. Writing was a better idea. He was up to the stall proper at this point now - but a thought came by Tsuji: what art did he want?
He wasn't super aware of all the different kinds of art they could do, but he knew he wanted something cool - maybe something realistic, or like a neat retro 80's style animation thing... abstract maybe? Nah, the 80's style would be cooler. Crazy how that was so long ago. But, what should it be of though... Tsuji gave a long thought, visibly stroking the fur on his chin. "Ah! I know!", he thought. He could feel the lightbulb appear above his head - yes, it should be a cool drawing of him on a motorcycle! He liked bikes a lot, and always wanted his own, he had saved up since he was 8. He had almost enough for a cool looking one that would account for his.. sizable figure, and his parents had offered to pay for lessons and everything when his birthday came around soon-
Rambling again. To himself, no less. He had a problem with that. Tsuji took a pen, and wrote his name and request down. Next to the request, on a smaller patch of the book, he scrawled a little note, saying "Is this a place where I can apply for this club too?"

(Sorry for the wait I legit didn't realize it was my turn!!)
Yumi pulled back a little as Jazz arrived, shooting her a bright smile. The two of them hadn't really caught up since the time they briefly dated, but if she was hearing things right apparently she'd gotten with...Rin was it? The 1 A president? Whatever her name Yumi just had a brighter smile on her face. Sure she could be wrong, she'd only heard it in passing, but it felt like good news all the same and she'd never have hard feelings like that. "Hey chief. Not surprised you're late with all that stuff you're luggin'..." She wondered just exactly what she was carrying, but noticing the tattoo equipment she opened her mouth with some alarm as she pointed to it. "Don't you need a license for those or is that just america...?"
Hearing the ruffling of paper behind her head, she shifted her gaze about and noticed the sign from her classmate, eyes widening for a moment before turning about and spotting the pad she had for her own drawings, grabbing it and taking a quick note of her own, turning it about. Though her words were in a speech bubble with a tiny Chibi Yumi head saying it.
'Noted Classmate. I'll make sure to use this from now on!~' She then turned it about again and rubbed out the words, filling the bubble again and just writing down for both of the girls to see so Jaz was in the loop too. 'Me and Jaz were apologizing for being late. We're all here now though!~'
Then Junko arrived. Oh okay. Briefly Yumi thought for a moment...if her classmate was death how did she manage in class given how Junko tended to be sheerly vocal. Still, Yumi gave a bright smile and a little two fingered salute, more common for her than a wave. "Morning Miss Junko."
Spotting the bear Yumi briefly jolted but easily settled down. She liked mutations and found them interesting even if they could put a brief shock in her system, stepping over to the notes that were made about the request and looking to the other girls, gesturing to it. "I'm pretty sure one of us can do that for you. I mostly do cartoons if you want that, as for the club, you're in luck! Our president is here today so I'm sure we could take you on right away if she feels it's good. What ya say Jaz?"

Jasmine rolled her eyes, "Cut me some slack, will ya? I was so wrapped up in all of the other shit that came with this damn festival I completely forgot we were doing this today," she explained. A little distaste could be felt in the way she said it, but in no way shape or form was it caused by the fact that they had set up the stall. No, what, or rather who she was pissed at was herself for forgetting about it in the first place. Clearly she hadn't at all been there for the Arts Club as she had initially intended on being. That really had to change.
The American raised a brow at Yumi's observation as she crouched down and began unloading her stuff nearby, "I mean, yeah, you do... if you take money for it. All I'll be doing is offerring small tatts for free and if people want to go and donate to us they can. It's not necessary though." She grinned, "system can't punish us if we're playing by different rules, am I right?" She then proceeded to show a thumbs up and a smile to both Yumi and Chikako. She quickly swiped Yumi's piece of paper and pulled out a pen herself, scribbling simple Japanese letters on it to later pass to Chikako.
Hi! I'm Jasmine Noir, club president. Sorry I haven't been around a lot. Let me know if you need anything, okay?
Immediately upon noticing someone very blue Jasmine slid her tattoo set under the stall. While she wasn't necessarily worried it was probably better to keep this part of her activities on the down-low just to avoid any possible bullshit. "Huh?" Turning over her shoulder when her red-haired peer had called out, Jasmine looked about as dumbfounded as one would expect when standing face to face with a bear. The briefest of the fuck? moments passed before the blonde's mind cleared out of its stupor. "Uhh, sure, yeah, why not? Always happy to welcome new members. Just, uhh..."
Jasmine dug into the many papers that were strewn about in stacks, pulling one out. After she found some pencils and markers of a large variety of colors, she passed them onto the bear person, "I'm going to need you to share something about yourself, though. Let me explain what I mean, one sec," the blonde American then proceeded to pull out her phone and swiped through several screens before showing the device to Tsuji. On it was a picture of the blackboard of the Arts Club room during day one when everyone was doing their introductions.
"On this paper I'm going to ask you to draw your sigil - something that represents you, you know? A symbol. Think of it as... you know how artists leave their "signature" after a body a work they've done? Something like that. It doesn't have to be anything complex. See that drawing of a coffee mug? That's Risaka's. The cartooney lightning bolt there? That's Yumi's," she pointed her thumb at the redhead." So yeah, just something that represents you as a person. Oh, speaking of, you've never done this either, have you?" She asked, then quickly remembered that Chikako was deaf. Quickly pulling out yet another piece of paper, Jasmine wrote down the exact same thing she said to Tsuji and passed it to the girl, smiling at her as she gave her a piece of drawing paper and some pencils as well.
Hmm... something like that was turning out to be like a ritual of a sorts for the Arts Club. She really needed more rituals and annual activities like this one.

Junko greeted the students that were gathered here. The first. She then realized that Chikako cant hear her. So she wrote the thing she previously said "I apologize, what I said was. Greetings. How are all of you?"
Yumi greeted her. Junko nodded "Good morning, Yumi. How are you? What are you all doing here?" she asked, interested in what the art club was doing Hopefully someone would say and explain to her what they were offering
Because they seemed to be busy with other stuff. If things keep being this busy, then Junko would just opt out and leave. She didnt want to cause trouble to them. After all, she needed to patrol this place for Villains, sneaky people, and pickpockets. A large gathering of heroes was bound to gain attention of a few undesirable eyes "All seems to be fine. And apparently Chikako and Yumi are busy inviting new people to the club. I shouldnt bother them if they're busy. I could always visit the Martials Arts Club and see what they're doing. I have a hard time trusting Darren alone. He's bound to make some sort of mess" Junko thought to herself and planned ahead what she'd do

Chikako watched as the group talked to each other, moving away a little to avoid all the socializing, she did not like people to much so it was only natural instincts for her to start scooting over. Jasmine quickly took over for the bear, for recruitment anyway, so all seemed to be going well. Though, from her understandings she needed to make a sigil, which was later verified by Jasmine through some writing. She nodded silently towards the club leader. Though, luckily, she had just the thing ready that she had been drawing since this morning, promently flipping through her art book's pages. Stopping at a very detailed drawing of a shield she gazed at it for a while before putting the book next to Jasmine. Hopefully, she would pick up on why she was showing it since it was not to long after she asked for the sigil.
Her gaze traveled back to her homeroom teacher, whom she gave a soft smile too. She wrote a reply in a cute little bubble. "I am okay, just getting ready hopefully for a busy day though it seems most went off to the cooking club's stalls instead", she said writing a slightly sad face near that. "Any particular art piece you want, Miss Junko?"

The collection of people around the stall were clearly buzzing like most of the crowd, looking out for something interesting. The girls at the stall were very nice, with Jasmine showing Tsuji a few pictures of the Art Club room and explaining to him stuff about the club in a very wholesome way, Yumi's bubbly personality, and Chikako's general willingness to help out with stuff. As Jasmine explained it to him and placed paper and a pencil onto his person, Tsuji thought about what his sigil was going to be. It had to be something that represented him, and something that was cool in its own right. After thinking for a second, Tsuji took the pencil in his paw and drew 3 jagged strikes to look like a bear's claw mark, but in the mark holes, he drew a couple of smiling faces inside them.
Tsuji explained to Jasmine about his sigil: “See, it's like, a claw mark, but I drew in smily faces because I love seeing everyone smile!” It was a great sigil. It might be harder to do it with paint, though: good thing Tsuji liked doodling with pens and pencils a little more. Continuing on, he spoke again, politely asking “So what do you each do in the art club? I assume art, obviously, but what kind of stuff? And when do you guys meet up? And-” Tsuji stopped himself short, as he realised he was asking too many questions in such a quick burst. He was pretty pumped from the festival, and that energy mixing with the same he felt when meeting new people meant he was in a real good mood. “Sorry, I'm getting ahead of myself”, he added, just to make sure he wasn't leaving a bad impression.

Yumi narrowed her eyes a little as Jaz was providing her a loophole for her tattoo situation. Was that really the case? Could you give tattoos without a license so long as you didn’t charge for it? She supposed you could just…give fruit and veg away at a market without needing a vendors license. You weren’t asking for payment afterall. She gave a light shrug and decided not to fight Jaz on it, though the idea that Jaz was a little closer to Vigilante than hero with a logic like that ran through her mind.
She was at least glad Jaz had the sense to hide her tools when Junko came over. Junk broke out a riding crop in class once, she didn’t want to know what she might do to Jaz’s tools…probably just store them in her gem never to be seen again if Jaz poked the bear too much with that. Speaking of-
Focusing on her art buddy with the hearing issues and the bear asking to join the club, Yumi watched Jaz take charge in that regard for a moment and whip out her phone. She was actually surprised she still had pictures of everyone’s sigils…though the minimalistic sigil she created for herself earned the idle comment of “-I really need to re-do mine at some point…do you just have like, a folder of all our sigils on your phone?” She asked curiously, wondering if Jaz saw that much importance in them to have them pretty easy to hand.
Looking between the two new members, as the bear would soon be, Yumi glanced down to their presented sigils. The claws and the shield, finding both very cute. Knowing she wouldn’t hear, Yumi tapped the image to get her attention then offered the girl a thumbs up before turning to the bear. “That’s a really cute idea. Welcome to the party I guess!~” She first opened her arms in a wide expressive gesture, but it seemed it was the prelude to a deadly hug of the cootie variety, as she all but fell into the giant cuddly bear and wrapped her arms eagerly around him, humming as she gave him a tight squeeze before bouncing back and away, springy on her heels like she couldn’t easily stand still, noting the question aimed at her Jaz.
“Oh er, I’m not so good really, I really wanna get into the anime style but it just isn’t happening no matter how much I practice. I think I’m pretty good at western cartoon styles though? Like er…they vary a lot but they’re usually a lot more fluid ya know? A little easier for me to get creative with.” She smiled warmly, not too bummed by her artistic limitations or the like. “How about you? What’s your thing?” She’d ask this after Jaz answered the question too of course. It would kinda be rude to interject on her like that and not allow her to even get out her own answer, and besides Yumi was kinda interest how she’d word her interest in tattoos and, given her sigil, tag-ish art.

Jasmine glanced at the blue teacher with some curiosity; she hadn't had any type of lesson with this woman. She was a pro hero, right? Strangely enough the American hadn't heard much about her but it looked like the other members of the club knew her so she wasn't going to say anything or complain. Rather than that, Jasmine turned back to Yumi to regard her question, "It's more of a keepsake, if that makes sense? Like... okay you won't be hearing much more of this mushy crap from me so enjoy it while it lasts - every moment spent with the club, with its members doing what they enjoy, is kind of like a treasure to me? I'm glad that I was able to start all of this up and share with all of you what's helped keep me afloat during shit times and has more than once helped put a smile on my face. Somebody once helped me with that, so I'm trying to do more of the same," her message held very little and a lot of information at the same time. Possibly a little cryptic, but Jasmine didn't really care much. It got the core message across just fine.
Then the blonde turned back to Chikako and Tsuji. She smiled and nodded at the deaf girl, hoisting up a thumbs up much alike her redhead partner in artsy crime. "Oh, well, that's what the symbol is about too," she then added as though addressing Yumi's statement. "At the end of the year you'll get to see what you were able to do and how far you've come. With that your symbols will change too. Having that picture of where you were as opposed to where you are now does wonders for the motivation. Plus I can make fun of you for being bad when you become good," that last remark was accompanied by a short and playful wink.
Then came Tsuji and his symbol. A claw mark with smileys on it. Huh. The description of it was kind of weird but she supposed it made sense in the grand scheme of things. She chuckled and shook her head, "Well if that's the case then glad to have you aboard. I'm Jasmine, club prez. That's Yumi and the girl over there is Chikako. Pleasure to meet ya. I'll introduce you to the other members when we have a proper meeting next time in the club room, yeah? We had the principal set up a general chat for us too so we can plan stuff easier so make sure you join that up too. I'll add your name to the official club roster after we're done here today."
In terms of Tsuji's last question, it was answered by Yumi before the American could even get a say in it... well, after the whole hug ordeal which honestly made Jaz scoff with a small smile on her face. Typical. "I uhh, well, I work with pretty much anything. Graffiti, stencil," she pushed the massive canvases she brought with her foot, "simple pen and paper, body art - you name it. I'm interested in more or less anytihng that catches my eye. That's probably not a helpful piece of information but, hey, I'm still figuring things out for myself and branching out, y'know?"
"Speaking of body art, oi Yums!" She called out to the redhead as she pulled up a random chair. "Sit down, I need a volunteer for this one and you've been nominated by your prez." As though to make sure the other girl didn't start to worry that Jaz suddenly decided to tattoo her, the blonde pulled out a few henna cones from her duffel bag and showed it to her, "Won't hurt, promise."
"Oh don't worry about it and fire away. I'm sure you have a lot of questions and I'll be more than happy to answer. Well, I'm sure Yumi here will want to have a shot at it too. Speaking of, I have a question too - what type of art do you do? Any specific tastes or interests? Maybe some of us can help you out, push you in the right direction. Or, hey, maybe you can just draw some inspiration, no pun intended."
