"Here you are, sir. One order okonomiyaki and one yakisoba bread. Enjoy!" Haruto passed the dishes to the customer, and swiveled to serve the next. The stall was even busier than he imagined, to tell the truth. He knew that foot traffic would be higher than usual, what with the school being open to the public, and the arrival of foreign schools to boot- But even so, he was hard pressed to keep up with all the orders!
Well, it probably wouldn't have been so bad, was Haruto not also helping his junior club members with making the food which they served. "Here, like this," He told one of the two girls, grabbing the spatulas. With practiced movements, the boy mixed together the fried noodles and vegetables on the griddle, before spreading them out evenly. Without missing a beat, the boy would swivel to the other griddle, where the okonomiyaki was cooking. "Here, let me," The boy would suggest, taking over. "We're almost out of Yakisoba bread- Once what's on the grill is ready, please fill some buns." He would politely command as he flipped the pancake.
He had wanted to be more in the teaching role, showing the other two how to cook as they both had admitted to being new to the subject when they joined the club, but unfortunately, the crowds were not letting up. "Sorry girls," was all he could say in his own defense as he continued to micromanage the stall. Alas, a vicious cycle was wrought- The more they sold, the more word spread, and more customers came to try the food which the three were selling. "If it's been so busy all day, I really hope that the other groups were able to handle the crowds."
On the bright side, selling well was a good thing! Having felt pretty bad about the amount of money the club was taking from the school to buy ingredients, Haruto was happy at the chance to run what amounted to a fundraiser- And was certainly pleased that it was going well!

| ◀ | The heart is a heavy burden ❤ Rowan had taken the effort to try to keep her hair in a bun and used a bandana to keep the hairs of her bangs out of her face and thus keep the things clear and clean. The thing was that it was hot standing in front of the okonomiyaki griddle. She felt that it was heavy work to do when people had to pick between both dishes and she had to make the little veggie pancake and add the sauce and greens before giving it to the customer on a little plate. She was glad the moment that Haruto stepped in to help her with that and she gave him the spatula easily and took a step aside, she wanted to see how fluently and smoothly he worked with the spatulas without actually breaking the little pancake. She was too impatient for that probably. "Let me refill that now and also clean up the plates that are on the small tables there." She said, which would give her a moment to breathe, some fresh air away from the grill and to make sure it looked nice and clean over here as well as helping Miku with the Yakisoba. It was nice that they were with three so they could fit in for that.
She looked up from taking the break and helping Miku fill it for as much as was smart and put it somewhere close by that if Miku needed to refill the bread amount, she could get it easily with one hand. "Don't apologize Haruto-san. It is super busy because everyone wants lunch but I am glad you are here." She quickly jumped out of the small booth to gather the litter from the little tables and chairs outside to throw them all in the dumpster, some people were so easy and Rowan couldn't stand that but she also looked around to see if there was anyone she knew to drag them towards their food stall and show off the hard work from the cooking club today. |

Ah the Sports Festival, the event to which Miku was hyped the most. The schools cooking club organized a lil something and it was Miku's duty to help out as much as she can. She did what Haruto and Rowan told her to do, as she herself wasnt quite the leader type. Miku was so focused on training how to fight that, she might be a bit lacking in the cooking department. Right now Miku was working on the Yakisoba and Rowan helped her a bit, even though their least meeting was... not so pleasant. Miku felt really bad about that. She didnt want to think about it, so she just looked at Haruto and said "Its fine, really. Im just glad you're here helping us. Im doing my best, but I dont know if that is good enough"
She wasnt even sure if she replied to the thing correctly, her mind was all over the place: hyped for the event, wanting to meet the foreigners, wanting to train and fight, trying to make food, trying to handle the crowd, worrying about her cooking skills and being sad about her last encounter with Rowan. Miku had a lot of things on her mind. But she didnt show anything on her face. Instead she smiled, smiled for her friends and the crowd

Kirk was on the move once again! His task was relatively important: Provide himself and Tetsuko with some snacks during this whole rush of people! Now, normally this wouldn't be such a big rush, after all the way he had planned his booth was pretty much, that people could come in, do some sports themselves or get some tips from the duo at the door! However, with him needing to grab food, for a moment Tetsuko would be left COMPLETELY ALONE at the booth, and he could imagine how agonizingly boring it could be with such a huge amount of people pestering her. So now he was jogging through the main alley, over to the one place he knew would most likely have a booth with food that would maximize their energy intake!
THE COOKING CLUBS BOOTH! His sneakers screeched in a loud manner, as he hit the breaks right in front of the booth, immediately noticing some familiar faces in there. "Hey dudettes! And dude!" It had been a while since he had seen Rowan to be honest, and Haruto too. But this was propably the first time he had actually seen Miku in person. However, his attention quickly shifted into looking at the queue they had, and he couldn't help but groan a bit as his shoulders lowered. "This is gonna take ages!" However, a diligent guy as he was he took his spot in it and waited, taking peeks from behind the person he was standing behind.
Although when he eventually made it to the stand, he put his arms on the desk. "Uuh, I want two of those buns to take with me, and then uh...!" There was a moment of thinking as his eyes glanced towards the menu... "Anything else hot and portable? Like, you know, something to take with me?! Got a bro to feed as well!" Yeah, he was propably a little bit more frantic than your regular customer, but it was clear he was doing his best. "I can wait though, if I have to!" His voice didn't really share the sentiment.
Whilst he waited, he tapped his fingers on the counter. "So uh, How are YOU guys holding up?" He looked around himself, before continuing. "Aside from the obvious, hehe!"

sometimes you want to go WHERE EVERYBODY KNOWS YOUR NAME
Ah, the air of youth! Delta could practically smell the scent of the young and bold that permeated these halls, this alleyway of stalls and booths! The air around here was filled with the sensations and emotions that drove this young boys and girls through what was likely one of the highlights of their highschool lives: Festivals! The quintessential display of vigorous youth, of the bonds they made in the form of the clubs they worked beside. It was all there before the four-armed woman as she strolled down the main alleyway, enjoying the youthful atmosphere that made her feel easily 10 years younger already! Of course, in reality, Delta was only assuming the grandeur of this festival. She'd never experienced one herself, but it had always been a highlight in the various manga she'd read during her time at Saint Martha's. Manga surely reflected reality, which meant that if Delta's intuition was right, she might yet be able to find some talented clubgoers amongst this festival... Some potential employees for her respectable establishment, The Fourth Corner! From handsome young men to fair and delicate maidens who might both serve as waiters or waitresses respectively, to musicians and cooks who might be able to fill in those gaps in her team. The Sports Festival was a veritable market for skilled young laborers, and Delta Ivey had come prepared to enlist them. The purse over her right upper shoulder carried a large stack of business cards for the Fourth Corner, which she intended on handing out to any potential employees. One might first assume there would be some problems to employing students in a bar, but the truth was that the law was rather relaxed in that regard. As long as Delta had the necessary licenses herself to own the place - which she did, of course - then any young men or women she employed would be free to work there! The four-armed woman chuckled beside herself at this ingenious plan of hers. Not only was surrounding herself with students a great way to save money, it was also going to make the place feel much younger! Now, to find her first catch of the day… Delta perused the various stalls, looking for something that might suit her with that lone amber eye. Yet, it was not sight, but smell that drew her to the first candidates. The unmistakable scent of fried noodles danced on her nostrils, and the bartender grinned widely at the first sign of her prey. The Fourth Corner wasn’t known for its food, but with a good cook… That could easily change! With light steps and slight skip to them, Delta made her way to the source of the smell, the stall run by the ‘Cooking Club’. An entire club of candidates, how delightful! Of course, she’d need to try their food for herself first, before she made any offers. There was a bit of a queue, but Delta didn’t mind waiting, even if her appearance drew some eyes towards her. The whole one eye and four arms was a bit unique, to say the least. The older woman waited until she was at the stall, approaching just after a rather spirited young lad. There were three members inside, a young blonde girl, a more serious looking one, and a silver haired boy… The last one had already won for most interesting appearance, but how was the food? ”Hello, dears~ Lovely stall you have set up here~” Delta said in a soft tone, before looking over what was available. Best to try both. ”I’ll have one order of onokomiyaki and one yakisoba bread.” The four-armed woman uttered, reaching into her purse with one of her four hands to retrieve her donation to the fine club~ Now, she just had to wait and see if they were up to snuff. 651 WORDS |

Haruto spared a second to roll his eyes as he heard a familiar voice at the back of the line. However, the back of the line was still the back of the line- And even if he was at the front, there wasn't exactly time to chat. Still, it was nice to see a friendly face amongst this crowd of strangers. His second's acknowledgement given, Haruto returned to the task at hand- Taking advantage of the time it took for the okonomiyaki to cook to whip together some more batter. Fortunately, Rowan and Miku understood his micromanagement.
On another fortunate note, he had chosen well when he decided what to sell. These weren't classic stall foods for nothing, it seemed, and they were selling as quickly as the team could cook them. Soon enough the line would move, bringing the two notable customers to the front. To the first, "Kirk! Good to see you, man. Ready for the games?" Haruto would give an enthusiastic greeting, before taking the others' order. "Well, all of this is perfectly fine for taking with you. How about taking the okonomiyaki for some variety? As you can see, it's a bit like a pancake- But much more savory." Haruto explained for the benefit of the foreign exchange student.
As the other made his decision, Haruto answered his question."Pretty well- Going through ingredients a bit faster than expected. May have to send for more if this keeps up- But hey, that's a good thing." Haruto shot a grin. That's right, it was working out better than the boy had ever imagined- Both in terms of publicity and profits. Well, the profits pretty much all went back to the school, but it still felt nice to sell well!
Sending kirk on his way with hands full of hot food, Haruto would welcome the next customer- A lady with four arms. However, rather than the arms, what drew Haruto's eyes was the rather awful burn covering her eye. Mutants were a dime a dozen, especially at UA- But such prominent scarring was another story. Still, it was impolite to stare, and the white-haired boy's gaze did not linger so much as to be impolite. "Of course. One yakisoba bread and one okonimiyaki, coming right up!" Haruto repeated her words for Miku's sake- With himself cooking on both griddles, and Rowan out cleaning the tables, it would inevitably fall to the shy girl to handle serving the customers.

| ◀ | The heart is a heavy burden ❤ Rowan quickly cleaned the tables, looking around if she saw any familiar faces but there was, of course, a limit on people that she knew and would have time to come over here. Throwing away the used plastic in the recycling bin she hurried with a clean cloth to clean up the tables with a last attempt to clean it up in the seconds that she had. The line with people buying lunch at their stand was getting longer and longer and Rowan wondered how they would hold up with the ingredients that they had. She turned and daydreamed shortly when looking at the line. She jumped up out her thoughts when she heard a loud voice and hurried to bring the cloth back and was her hands with the disinfecting gel that they had for that. "I can do something." She said softly to Haruto now that she was back and she noticed he was helping the customers and Miku too. "We can give you the bun wrapped up and the okonomiyaki on a plate," Rowan suggested when Kirk was at the front of the row now and Haruto told him about the pancake. She decided to help Haruto with the customers so that he could focus on the food as well and she would take the money when people paid, it would be nicer to keep your hands clean of what she thought: dirty money, more like where has the money all been and did the people clean their hands, before touching the food again. They had a little safe for it anyway.
She looked shortly at Haruto when he said what she thought before, how would they hold up with the ingredients. She waved goodbye when Kirk left and hoped he would be able to carry it as carefully as she wrapped it for him away to she assumed others. She had been careful with the plastic wrap around the buns so the yakitori would not be in harm of falling off and she had wrapped the plates with Okonomiyaki for certainty too. She turned to look at the woman who was next in line and she smiled and took the money and gave change when needed to her.
She would wait and take already some plate and plastic wrap in case it was needed. She looked shortly to Miku to see if she needed any help, not that Rowan was sure she could do anything but maybe new bread, even if she had stalled that right before, it was going so fast already. |

As she was working she heard a very loud and familiar voice, it was the (in)famous Kirk of class 1C. While she never saw him in person and mostly knew him through chat, she did hear him various times throughout the school, whether it be the classroom nextdoor or somewhere completely different. That voice was unmistakable, it was Kirks. She finally got to meet him
But Miku had no time for chatting and getting to know one another, as she heard Haruto saying the order. And it was up to her to serve it "One yakisoba bread and one okonimiyaki, coming right up!" Miku said She then served it to all of the customers and that also included Kirk and the mysterious and exotic 4 armed woman "Here you go. Enjoy your meal" she would say as she would serve the meal to all of her customers

Man, with the amount of people around the stall, the way Kirks co-students actually handled it was so... SYSTEMATIC! Everybody was like a cog in the machine, and Kirk pretty much had an insane amount of things to lock his eyes onto to keep his mind busy! Almost enough to make him accidentally skip Harutos counter question! "W-Well yeah, Of course I am!" It was propably no surprise that he had been training a plenty for it, as he flexed to show the fact off! "Gotta make sure I ain't beat THAT easily, you know!?" He gave a bit fake seeming grin, while chuckling... luckily it was propably hidden by all the bustle around them.
Another customer got up next to him... The lady looked very... Special? It was hard to put a word to it. Perhaps it was the extra pair of hands? "Uh, Okonowhat now?" His attention was once again grabbed by Haru as he asked if he wanted it for a change of pace. "Eh, maybe Tetsu'll appreciate it, go for it!" Besides, if it was more Savory, it must have been very meaty. And meat was always good! "Lay it on me, dude!"
The blonde girl offered him his food, wrapped up in all sorts of ways! Seemingly even the pancake was used to cover a plate to make sure it didn't fall to pieces! "Dude, that's bonkers!" He lifted it up from the top as the weird pancake bounced within the bag! "I hope you don't mind if I..." He didn't even finish his sentence, before he immediately opened the bag, and proceeded to grip one of the pancakes, and pulling on it, ripping the thing a bit uncleanly in half. The other items tilted dangerously inside, but Kirks strong grip enclosed the bag before anything else fell out... "Try this thing out immediately!"
Honestly, with all the stuff on it, it was like a pizza! ...Albeit he didn't exactly taste meat on it... all sorts of peppers and vegetables tickled his tongue though, as he clearly had a moment with bit bigger cheeks, as his brain tried to process what he was eating... before steam poured through his nostrils in a loud *FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFRICKING GOOOOOD!" He said, raising his face up to the skies, before jumping back up, and taking off in a gentle jog! "Thanks dudes! I might come again soon enough!" He waved the bag, rustling all the things that were inside, as he vanished into the distance, as quickly as he had come...

sometimes you want to go WHERE EVERYBODY KNOWS YOUR NAME
It was quite the effective operation the students had going, and the roles of those present were immediate from the start. The boy with the striking white hair was handling most of the actual cooking, from what Delta saw, with the other two serving as his aides and handling the equally important tasks of serving customers and servicing their little booth. Once Delta had placed her order, she handed off the funds to the dark-haired girl, and watched as they went to work. An efficient and fast machine they were, and once they were complete in a jiffy, Delta accepted her order with a sincere ”Thank you, dear~” and proceeded to one of the tables to see if they were up to snuff. That loud boy had expressed his enjoyment very vocally before, so Delta’s expectations were high… And exceeded. First, the okonomiyaki. With fork in hand, Delta took her first taste of this unique Japanese treat… And her eyes were wide with joy from the first bite! The exquisite flavours danced together, seasoned perfectly, a delectable sauce, a wonderful texture… Almost immediately, she knew she had to try the yakisoba bread too, and it also had such a wonderful balance! Flavours clashed and complemented, and before Delta knew it, she was chowing down on what she’d ordered, each pair of hands handling a different dish. Once she was done, her stomach was full and yet she still craved more! So this was the power of a high level chef… The ability to make flavour with the same depth and intensity and feeling as music could have! Now, if she could utilize a similar strength in her own bar… Delta could practically already see the profits rolling in! After disposing of her rubbish like a good responsible citizen, Delta quickly swung by the side of the booth again, not within the queue itself, but just enough to swing by and leave her mark. ”Thank you dears, the meal was lovely~ A lot of talent in this club, hmm?” She left a small stack of about 5 or so cards on wherever was available without intruding, enough for whoever was keen and whoever else in the club but not presently here might aid her… ”Do keep up the good work, put that talent to use~” Delta said with a wink, before walking off, back into the festival, where she would seek out any other potential future labourers~ Meanwhile, those at the quaint little stall would be left with those cards, and the simple picture that would be face up~ 428 WORDS |
