It was time to gather dinner as various students and occasional staff made their way to UA's deliciously stocked cafeteria. Jisa had counted at his money though today and went to one of the nicer vending machines. It had a type of spicy ramen he was rather fond of. Instant food had always been how he got by for the longest time and some tastes just sorta stuck firmly in place over time in his desired tastes.
He didn't have allot of money or ways to procure any funds either most the time so when he did get to have such a treat it was kinda a big deal for him in a small way. Summer jobs were hard to get for someone like him... An he didn't really have anyone to send him money either. But on days like this that was okay! It was always gonna be okay as long as he kept believing it would be.
He waited having to actually hop up two or three times to get the coins in and hit the buttons he wanted. Gathering his food and making his way to a nearby table. Walking to it in the moment with a steamy bowl of spicy ramen that he couldn't help but take in a heavy sniff with his powerful snoot.
But unknown to him, Someone had left a wrapper on the floor he hadn't noticed as his rather large feet walked towards the nearest table with no one there. He always had trouble with people after all but at least he'd been working on it. But sadly as is the case often in life things would not be so nice on this day even with his treat.
As his stepped on the wrapper he fumbled and slipped and plopped backwards as the plastic bowl flew in the air briefly and hi landed on his back with a thump, An moments after his ramen and all its hot broth splashing over his bare upper body and fur as well as on his pants. He was quickly mortified as he could only think about anyone that was around to see. Staying on his knees and sitting on his legs for a moment as he froze up for a moment reaching up grabbing his large ears and pulling them down over his eyes. Embarrassed and mortified in the moment as his plastic bowl and broth lay infront of him, At least what wasn't 'on' him that was.

Chise wasn't one to show her face often in the school cafeteria, making her own lunches and dinners instead of eating school food. Every once in a while she made a visit when she wasn't feeling up to cooking, but very rarely. She decided this time to get something different, the school's steamed meat dumplings were definitely eye catching, temping the peach haired girl to order a serving...well maybe two. As she received her to-go order, Chise turned and made her way towards the exit back to the dorms, that was until she saw a familiar figure catch her eye, holding a bowl of ramen. The small bunny boy, Jisatsu, from her class. It seemed like he was getting his own dinner as well. The ramen he had gotten looked pretty good as well. Perhaps she'll have to try it at least once this school year. Before she made another move, she watched as Jisa slipped and fell on something on the ground, throwing his ramen only to have it come splashing down on him. "Jisa-kun!" Chise cried, her eyes going wide as she ran over towards the smaller boy, making sure he was alright. She ran and stopped right in front of him, holding out her hand to the small boy. "Are you alright Jisa-kun? Did you hurt anything? Anything broken?" she asked, trying to examine the boy to make sure he wasn't severely hurt.
She felt terrible he had spilt his food all over him, soiling his clothes and dispersing the contents of the bowl all over him and the ground around him. She held her hands out, slowly helping the smaller boy up. "...why don't we get you cleaned up Jisa-kun," she said, the other completely mortified to have seemingly done something like that. Chise looked from Jisa, down to her bag of steamed buns before looking back at the boy, "Why don't we share my dinner? It's the least I can do to help," Chise said, giving a small, hopeful smile to the boy, trying her best to make up for the unfortunate accident the other went through. "Why don't I walk you back to your room so you can clean up and I'll come back when you're done? How does that sound?" she asked, wanting the other to get the sticky ramen broth out of his clothes and fur, it probably wasn't pleasant with all that fur covering his body now doused in broth.

The fact that school lunches were actually somewhat edible was still novel for the prawn. While more veteran students might regard the typical offerings with ambivalence or disdain, Charlie was eager to partake in them. She had joined the line of students, eagerly taken a tray up into her massive hands, and recieved what appeared to be a stew served over rice. "How do you say this in Japanese?" she asked the student who'd served her. "Curry rice," the fellow teen insisted. Oh, so that was curry. The iridescent lass purchased her curry rice and a drink, and padded quietly towards what appeared to be one of the last unoccupied tables. Some absolutely miniscule rabbit-looking kid was walking in front of her. Before Yuuei, Charlie hadn't really seen other mutants, not as severe as her, so of course she stared. She watched the whole, theatrical slip on a wrapper and the nearly perfect parabolic arc of the spilled ramen. Throughout the whole collapse or the bunny, Charlotte's only remark was a surprised, "Oh..."A redheaded girl moved faster, with a shrill cry of, "Jisa-kun!" signaling her approach. Charlotte sood, and Charlotte stared. The combination of the girl's frenzied (only partially intelligible) Japanese, the sight of the bunny boy(?), and the fact that he was in the middle of the aisle (and blocking the one empty table) had led to the prawn's blank look. The prawn looked towards her tray of food, saw he napkins that were neatly folded beneath her spoon and, clenching them in her fist, extended the paper offering to the redhead and the bunny boy. "Here," she insisted, "Yours." Should her offering be accepted, by either party, Charlie would then sidle towards the table, stepping gingerly around the bunny-kid, so that she could set her tray down. She then began the delicate process of folding herself onto the bench. (These goddamn tables weren't made for tall people, so there was a lot of adjusting of her knees around the crossbars.) "Your head... is good?" Charlie grunted, "No hurt?"She stabbed at her curry-rice with her spoon, stirring it. Her attention seemed entirely focused on the process, even though her questions were directed at bunny boy. word count | 368 author's note | hope it's okay if i jump in! if not just let me know~

He wasn't hurt but he tried to stifle back the want to cry as the small boy was clearly mortified. Those coming to his aid added a mixture of comfort and more embarrassment as well given it also confirmed his feeling that allot of people may have saw his little accident just now. What bits of fur got covered were matted and lightly quickly becoming sticky. He tugged down on his ears harder covering his eyes fully now as he sniffled lightly trying to hide his embarrassment.
"I-I... I'm okay. Just it was a little hot... I slipped on something. I feel so stupid everyone saw that!" Shaking just lightly for a moment as even if it would normally seem impossible he seemed to shrink down into a curled ball even more. Looking somehow actually smaller in his moment of sadness and inner fear. He felt like a child but it was nice when she helped him up. He didn't put much resistance but whipped his eyes on the back of his fuzzy arm briefly to remove the premature tears from his vision. He'd look towards the ground gripping at his wrists feeling embarrassed but also very hungry. He hadn't much at all this day and had been looking forward to this treat all day. "I don't want you to go without anything... But if your okay with it I'd like that very much Chise. Thank you... I'd like if you walked me too yes. I've always kinda been a little clumsy... Its this strange body of mine ya know." Sighing as he gestured to his large feet and odd proportions that aided him in his power but in normal life at time gave small issues with clumsiness. Today it seemed to be a negative thing to him for sure. At least with how seemed to talk and feel in the moment that was.
But then another person arrived with a equally severe mutation. Jisa didn't mind at all thought but did shyly smile when he looked up at what they said and the kind gesture. His small tail wiggling lightly behind him without him realizing it in reaction to the sweet kindness. He accepted it nodding. "Thank you... Its really nice of you guys to bother helping me. An no I'm okay. Just a little embarrassed... I guess that wasn't very heroic like of me was it?" Trying to make a small joke though it was likely clear he was a bit down. "My name's jisa by the way! Its nice to meet you! I kinda need to go get cleaned up but if its okay with you Chise and new friend! We should all eat together maybe? I normally eat alone or in my dorm. But it'd be nice to get to eat with friends like others do and stuff?!" asking curiously more so trying to see the reactions if these two were okay with it. Trying to reach up and offer a hand shake to the new friend as well. It seemed that a little kindness really could go quite a long way.

Poor Jisa, knowing it was only an accident that happened, Chise couldn't help but feel her heart hurting just looking at how disheveled the boy was now. He just wanted to eat some dinner, not wear it. "It's alright Jisa. The main concern right now is making sure you are alright and not hurt at all," she said, softly talking to the other. Well, his pride was hurt for one thing, but it didn't seem like he sustained any lasting injuries. She wanted to scoop the small boy up and hug him on end to make him happy, but maybe now was not the best time...she had to be the caring class president that she was and help her fellow students in need. A soft smile turned up on her face when Jisa took her offer, she had bought enough for two so sharing was no problem. "Of course I'll walk with you. I want to make sure you get back to your room alright so you can clean up, get out of those soiled clothes and put something fresh on. Your body is not strange, it's just different. Everyone's bodies are different," Chise said with a warm smile.
As Chise comforted and helped her smaller, fluffier classmate, it seemed another student had gotten the same idea, while not as outgoing as Chise's action was. She turned her head once she saw a clawed hand of sorts holding out some napkins to her and Jisa, offering them to the boy to help him clean up. She felt the action was quite sweet considering they were practically a stranger to the whole scene. Chise listened with a soft frown as Jisa took the napkins. Chise listened as the two mutant students quietly bantered back and forth, not wanting to ruin or interrupt the small conversation they were having. The small rabbit boy then brought up the idea of them all eating together, while the idea in and of itself did not seem like a bad one, the meeting place in question was questionable. Would they go to Jisa's room? Chise's room? This new student's room? Here in the cafeteria? Perhaps clarification was in order. "I wouldn't mind, although we should decide on where to eat first. I don't mind where we eat but I figured we should figure that out and perhaps exchange information before deciding on something," she said before turning to the mutant girl sitting in the booth across from them. "My name is Chise Ishihara, it's nice to meet you," she said with a warm smile, holding out her hand to shake the other girl's own as a sign of friendship.

Charlie removed her surgical mask, sliding it into her pocket. She smiled politely at the boy's attempt at humor. "Jisa-san, nice to meet you," she murmured. She pulled another mask out of her pocket. Just by the look of it, there was more fabric to this mask. Charlie accepted the proffered hand carefully. She also shook the girl's hand, "Ishihara-san, nice to meet you." "I am Fujioka Charlotte," the prawn explained, "Charlie is fine."The person then took to putting this new mask on. It was a veil that hooked over her top jaw spikes, and draped loose over her mouthparts. It was black fabric, cotton, weighed by beads at their base. As the invitation was extended, Charlie looked down at her curry rice. They were clearly friends, and Charlie didn't want to interject herself into their hangout. She nodded complacently, "If it is okay." She already had her food, though. If they walked around for too long, it would go cold. Eating together sounded nice in concept, but in practice it meant a cold dinner. "Do we have a microwave?" she inquired. Wherever they ate, her vote would be a place with a microwave. Charlie clasped her spoon and bowl in her hands, looking expectantly to her peers. Her body language said, "If you lead, I'll follow." "You are... what class?" she asked, unfolding from her seat. word count | 228

He felt a little bad feeling like he was making their meal times far more complicated then they needed to be. Looking towards the ground for a few moments a big disheartened as he couldn't help but feel like he was becoming a light burden in the moment of it all as well. "You don't have to be so nice Chise-chan. I know I don't exactly look normal... It's just... I guess its just something you get used to over time." A small sigh breaking past his lips yet again. His embarrassment and slipping up in front of so many leaving him momentarily a bit more self contentious.
"If you guys still want to eat together I think their's a microwave in the common rooms. I have one in my room as well since most of what I eat not counting cafeteria food, the rest comes from vending machines. It'd be nice to eat there if you don't mind anyway. I kinda feel a little antsy staying in front of all these other students all a mess like this anyway." He'd say as to him the room was thick with tension and embarrassment. His eyes couldn't help but move from the two kind souls to wondering around the room time and again constantly nervous to who may have been watching or worse snickering at the whole event. Plus he didn't really like smelling like the broth of his food either for that matter. His nose was far more sensitive then normal peoples. So the scent of broth mixed with light wet fur was a bit of a iffy thing gnawing at his senses.
"If you want we can eat in my room! It's not fancy.... But we can use the microwave in either the common room or my own. I'll be able to grab some clothes and get cleaned up pretty quick while you guys sit there if you want too?" Trying to frantically propose a plan and fit all the pieces together without accidentally ruining their meal time. The idea of a quick hot shower and some fresh pants sounding all the better the longer he stewed literally in broth. If they agree'd he'd lead them that way hoping they weren't upset with these turn abouts. He seemed pleased though as he smiled more and more at the two feeling that at least things had gotten better and not as bad as the situation almost felt like it was about to get.

Huh? Don't have to be so nice? Being nice was all Chise knew how to be! She couldn't do something she didn't know how to do, kindness was everything the peach haired girl showed to others as was her nature. "I think you're acting a little silly there Jisa-kun. Why wouldn't I be nice to my friends? It's my duty as not only a class representative but as a fellow student to make sure that you are alright and aid you if you should need assistance," Chise said with a soft smile, not knowing why the other thought she was being 'too nice'. She wanted to pull the other into a hug so badly but what would the others around her think? It certainly wouldn't be professional by any means, but then again, should she have to act professional all the time?
The common rooms did have microwaves in each one, although Chise had a small toaster oven in her room along with the rest of her baking equipment she could use if necessary. "I'm fine eating wherever you decide. Whatever is easier for everyone else is fine by me," Chise said, holding her steamed buns just a bit tighter in her hand. It may seem a little off putting to eat in someone's room, considering Jisa was a boy compared to there being two girls in the group. "It may be better to eat in a common room, just because the school is...rather strict when it comes to members of the opposite sex being in people's dorm rooms. Plus, it would be better considering there might be more space in a common area compared to a dorm room," the class president said, her cheeks growing a little rosy as she mentioned the rule. "If we do choose to eat together, I might stop by my room and bring some cookies that I made to share. While eating a ton of cookies may sound like a good idea, it's not the healthiest option," the violet eyed girl said with a sheepish chuckle, twirling her hair with her finger out of habit. "Charlie and I can briefly head to my room and wait in the common area while you get cleaned up Jisa if that is alright with both of you," Chise offered, turning her attention back and form from the mutant students.

All Charlotte needed to hear was "There is a microwave in the common rooms". And, to be completely honest, that was all she heard. Something-something cafeteria, something-something nice bedroom or common room. Charlotte nodded sagely, as if she wasn't only catching every ten-or-so words. As long as she wasn't eating cold curry-rice, there would be no problems. Chise chimed-in, which confused the prawn. What was so complicated about the plan? Go to the dorms and eat, in either Jisa's room or the common room. Charlotte caught "cookies", and "Charlotte and I can... my room." Oh, so she was going with Chise, then? "It's good," Charlotte agreed, nodding in agreement. She really didn't know what the plan was, beyond following Chise. But she could fudge it as long as she stayed with Chise, right? "Then... let's go," the prawn said decisively, nodding down the aisle between the tables. She walked pensively, conscious of her long strides compared to her petite companions. It was almost as if she was offering the curry-rice to some strange god in supplication, judging by the reverence with which she walked. The only thing that broke the illusion was Charlie's periodic pauses to make sure she hadn't left Chise or Jisa in the dust. The silence stretched around them like a yawn, but Charlotte wasn't exactly one for small talk even when she was fluent in the language. So she let the quietness stretch around them. word count | 239

He sniffled a bit more wiping the back of his fuzzy arm on his small wiggly nose. He still seemed embarrassed but Chise's kindness brought a small smile as between her and Charlie he couldn't but at least feel some of his spirits returning to him. He nodded several times and did ponder on Chise's words for a moment. "You're probably right Chise Chan. The common room would be nice and... not so many people. Might be more fun there away from the rest for the moment." He'd say in a gulp still feeling eyes on him from several corners of the room.
He tried to hide his sniffling but his body language and behavior was clear he didn't want to stick around here too much longer then they actually had too. He would have also remained relatively silent on most of the walk over as they'd likely have needed a few moments to get situated and he too would have run off just briefly to quickly shower for a few short minutes just to get the sticky broth out of his fur. Returning to his two friends quickly after the journey towards the common room a towel draped over his shoulders and his fur carrying a fresh floof after being freshly washed. He smiled a bit sheepishly as he wondered up to them at one of the common area sitting areas. "I hope I didn't take too long... I feel bad dragging you guys all the way over here... I hope it wasn't too much of a bother." Gulping lightly a little worried what they might think now that he'd had a short bit of time for his head to clear and his body to clean.

Chise looked to the small bunny boy and smiled, giving comfort and clarity to her classmates was her job. She enjoyed just being able to make other's smile. The trio soon took off for the dorms, Chise and Charlie going to the girl's dorms while Jisa went off to the boy's dorm to freshen up in his room. As the two females made their way to Chise room, she couldn't help but speak up, "You're in the support studies class, am I right Charlie-chan?" Chise asked, turning to the prawn girl with a smile on her face. "I couldn't help but look at Tsutsuji-sensei's roster list and seeing your picture as one of the new students in the class. I hope if you have any questions whether regarding classwork or if you just need to talk, feel free to come to me. It is that job of a class president to make sure her fellow classmates are doing alright," the each haired girl offered, opening the door to the second floor of the girl's dorms and walking to her dorm, being the first one on the floor. She used her key and opened her door, revealing the salmon and mint colored room inside filled with stuffed sheep, baking supplies, and other cutesy things a typical high school girl would have. "Maybe some other time we could hang out here, but we don't want to leave Jisa-kun waiting. Do you liked baked good Charlie? Do you have a particular favorite?" Chise asked, turning her light on and going over to her stack of cubbies, grabbing a container filled with cupcakes before she exited the room and locked her door before turning to Charlie once more. "Ready to go?" she asked with a soft chuckle before the two girls made their way to the boy's dorm to meet their fluffy friend. Hopefully by now he had enough time to freshen up before he would meet them in the common area.
The two support studies girls made it over to the boy's dorms, such an unusual place for two girls to be. Now, off to the common room on Jisa's floor to meet up for dinner. Hopefully they didn't keep him waiting.

Charlie was passive as she followed her two newfound friends, wondering if it would be appropriate or polite to eat while they walked. She couldn't help it-- it was cold out, and she was hungry. And there was no worser crime than eating a cold stew. The girls parted from Jisa while venturing up to Chise's room, during which time Chise grilled the young woman about her enrollment. "Support studies, yes," Charlotte confirmed quietly. The res of her speech was lost on the prawn, but she still nodded with gravity at the redhead's speech. She watched owlishly as they entered into the other young woman's room. It was so... girly. Charlie felt a little out-of-place. she said something about Jisatsu-san. Charlotte nodded. Then a question was asked of Charlotte, and Chise reaching into plastic containers of various confectionary treats. "I like all food," the prawn said quietly. With another nod, the two young women set-off again. Throughout their entire walk, Charlotte followed slightly behind Chise, owlish-eyes swiveling around and drinking in their surroundings. They then found themselves in the boy's dormitory which was, unsurprisingly, very similar to the girls' dorms. The prawn padded towards the microwave, and slid her bowl of curry-rice into the device. word count | 205

While the girls were busy on their end Jisa had taken the time to get properly cleaned. A good quick hot shower to clean off all the sticky muck feeling of his fur then a short time drying properly to get rid of the excessive floof his fur sometimes had at tendency to have after a shower. He tried to dry it down properly given he didn't exactly like the idea of looking like a giant fluff ball after all. His fur breathed so much better though when it was freshly cleaned. He could feel the plush cool fur along his body helping him relax ten times better now. He quickly grabbed a new set of pants wiggling and adjusting his tail to fix them on properly and pop the tail through the hole tailored in for it as the same with most his pants.
He shut his door locking it quickly and sticking his keys in his pockets dragging with him as he hopped down the hallway in his fresh pants his fur still lightly floofy over the rest of his body as he only ever often wore pants and not much other clothes to avoid becoming to overheated given he didn't have sweat glands like everyone else. He had a small box cookies under his arm of the peanut butter variety tho. He'd lost his lunch and they were kind enough to share with him and make offers he didn't feel right coming up empty handed so when he finally arrived tail wiggling behind him with anticipation he chuckled as he slid the box of cookies on the table his stomach lightly growling as he eagerly wanted to see what was going to be for dinner. "I brought coooookies!" He said with a light chuckle. "I'm so hungry... I still can't believe I dropped that food. It's still embarrassing to think about."

The two support studies girl soon made it to the common area on the correct floor of the boy's dorm, picking a table and setting their belongings down on, well Chise at least. Charlie went over to the microwave and began heating up her dinner. Chise felt so bad for making the girl wait to eat her food, she was probably starving now. Chise sat down and stretched with a small noise leaving her mouth, feeling her back crack just a bit. Chise pulled out the meat dumpling she had gotten and found they were still quite warm, figuring they wouldn't need reheated. Chise pulled out a bottle of green tea and the container of cupcakes and set them down on the table in front of her, waiting for her fellow support studies classmates to come and join her for dinner.
Jisa soon emerged fresh and clean from his room, joining the two girls in the common area to eat together. It seemed the bunny boy had brought some snacks of his own, a box of cookies set neatly next to her cupcakes on the table. Jisa recalled the event that happened moments prior, still feeling embarrassed because of it. "It's alright Jisa-kun, we all make mistakes sometimes," the peach haired girl said, trying to reassure the poor boy of his worries. "Now that we're all here, why don't we eat instead of thinking about the past," Chise spoke with a smile, sliding a portion of steamed meat buns over to Jisa since she promised the boy she would share with him. Chise picked one of the buns up and gently placed it into her mouth, savoring the combination of flavors her taste buds were experiencing. She wondered if Haruto would want to cook again with her. Perhaps this could be the next thing they made but was it too similar to gyoza? Swallowing her bite and wiping her mouth, Chise spoke up while she opened her bottle of green tea, "How is everyone's dinner? Does it all taste good?" Chise asked with a smile, finally getting the cap unscrewed from her drink. "Oh, please feel free to eat some cupcakes when you are done. I made these earlier today and wanted some feedback on how they tasted so I figured, why not share them with you both," the violet eyed girl said before taking a sip of her green tea.

藤岡 シャーロット Stuck in the deal I've been handed, Got me stranded, Force me to swim or drown, Nothing is the way that we planned it, Take for granted the signs that I leave around FT. Chise and Jisa WORDS 173 NOTES sorry for the delay! |
Charlie lingered at the microwave, her lavender eyes rippling over the redhead. She was small but… curvy? All over? And her hair was so long… some people had all the luck. Jisatsu-san returned moments before the microwave beeped. Her gaze darted from the diminutive boy to the shrieking appliance, and the bowl of curry rice was hastily extracted.
Her hands gingerly kept to the edges of the bowl, and the prawn stepped hastily towards the table. The boy announced his cookies, and Chise also boasted a fair collection of treats.
Charlie had her curry-rice. Maybe she should have grabbed snacks to share… she didn't have cookies or cupcakes, but she had a half- eaten bag of chips and a big liter bottle of soda. The conversation mostly wove its way around the prawn, without really settling on her. She was too busy eating, and too timid to initiate conversation.
“Delicious,” Charlie reported, “Dinner is delicious. I like curry rice.”
Her words were spoken in low, intentional tones.
She said nothing more than that.
