I t was finally time for the big night! To celebrate U.A.'s first ever Christmas with open doors a dance as well as two other activities had been planned. Knowing that as part of the cooking club she had a responsibility to help set up the snacks for the dance Angel was already going to be in attendance and so she decided to use this as justification to finally do something she had wanted to all year. She asked Nene Mori to be her date and to Angel's surprise she accepted! Once that was done Angel and her classmate Rowan went and got manicures, pedicures and even went dress shopping so that everything would be perfect.Once the fateful night had arrived Angel got washed up,touched up her now pale pink nails, put on some nice but subtle vanilla perfume and then slipped on her pale pink backless dress and matching flats. Once she was dressed and ready she gently rested her large pink wings flat against her back in such a manner that they covered the opening of her dress and her wing tips touched the end of her lower back. Once she was fully ready the winged hero in training left her dorm room and walked down a couple doors and gave her darling Nene's door a gentle knock. "Nene sweetie,I'm gonna head down to the dance. I'll see you there!" As Angel spoke to Nene through her door with an almost song in her voice before skipping down the hallway and making her way down to the beautifully decorated ball full of the sounds of music, smells of food and sights of both friends and teachers all having a good time. If Angel was truthful with herself she wasn't 100% sure if Nene would actually show up not because she thought Nene would want to stand her up,but due to the fact that due to the woman she adored's mutation she was more feared and judged then other mutants. It was both tragic and heartbreaking. It was this fact however that was part of the driving force of why Angel asked Nene to the Ball. She wanted to show her living dead girl that someone wanted to run into her arms instead of away. |
