We are the Ultimate And we are the end With no way back to the others, the second group of class 1-C was in quite the bind now. After the shaking and splitting of the floating island they were now on, the group was left with a large island of trees. Most of the area they had left to explore was forested with a few patches and clearings to give them a break from the numerous tree trunks that littered their view. However, time was of the essence. Even though they had an extended evening with the last few touches of sunlight in the sky because of how high in the air they were, it wasn't going to last very long. And once the night came, there wasn't going to be any real light for the students to use to see where they were going. For those that never really went camping or to the beach at night, it would be their first view of true darkness.
So all they could do was move forward and trust that their classmates could handle themselves. They all took the same hero training and all aiming for the same dangerous profession. So it was up to them to figure out what else was affected by what was going on and how to solve the problem they were in. As for the forest, it was pretty normal at first. Just trees, leaves, shrubs and the like to impede their path. But as the group moved forward through it they would start to see strange things. There was something in the forest that didn't belong and it was immediately obvious as such.
The first was a locked metal shack. It was only a few yards off from where they started, but it was completely out of place. It didn't seem like a cabin or tool shed that belonged to someone that lived out here. It seemed like something they might have seen on Semper Fi. A metal shed with a locked door meant to hold important tools. And it looked like it was just placed on the ground. Usually, these things are built with some kind of support to keep them bound to the earth. But this shed didn't have anything like that. In fact, someone with enough strength could easily push it along the ground like a brick.
And a bit further past that was what almost looked to be pavement. Squares of stone that sat on the forest floor leading away from the area the shed was in and deeper into the forest. The stone slabs looked like the ones the students would see int he city. They were sidewalk slabs lined up on the ground in a similar fashion to the metal shed before. They didn't sit snuggly in the dirt and were just placed on top of it as if they were just dropped there. But the most important thing about them was that they seemed to glow. Even though there was nothing on the slab to make them to such a thing, the cut stone glowed a bit in the darkness with a stale pale blue hue.

Figures.
The island broke in half, and it carried the rest of the class with it. The rift revealed that they appeared to be in the air. Very high up in the air. Extraordinarily high up in the air, even… and they were floating. Not falling, floating. Why the fuck were they floating? Nobody knew. But they were floating. Not falling. Yet. And the island was breaking apart. This made no sense. None whatsoever. No sense at all. This was insane.
Alex didn’t bother moving when the ground broke, because it broke a few feet away from him. When the other part of the island floated away, he was left staring into the void for a few uncomfortable seconds. He pulled out his phone and dialed for emergency services, but it was clear very quickly that the signal was not good enough to call for any help. The next thing that he tried, naturally, was the internet… which was dead too. They must be too high up in the air for a decent signal to pick up. That sucked.
”Well, phone and internet are dead.” the class representative announced with a sigh. ”Somebody here has a really strong quirk. They have to be somewhere on this damned thing. We have to find them and then get them to put us down on the ground.” he announced quickly as he stepped away from the edge of the island.
”Don’t run off too far. Any freak show who goes off fucking up trains for fun is probably messed up in the head. Get ready for a fight when we find them.” he continued, going from most logical option to what he saw to be the second most logical option. Islands didn’t just up and go floating around for no reason, so there had to be a cause. That cause was almost certainly a quirk or combination of quirks of some kind, but even then, it didn’t make sense.
Why that train? Why Class 1-C? Was it random, or targeted? Was it some fucking terrorists paid off by that demon from 1-A? Was it renegade military officers from the revolt that managed to escape police custody? Was it Thunder Shock coming to do another terrible crime? Was it Junko’s idea of a punishment more than detention for a class who misbehaved a little too much?
All of these questions, but no answers in sight. This was annoying. A brief look around noted two big things in the area: a metal shed and something in the ground that was glowing a bit in the dirt and grass. The entire area seemed to be covered in trees like a forest, which made sense because… well, the forest was part of the land that now made up the floating island.
”So, I don’t suppose any of you have any bright ideas on how to find this wacko faster? I don’t have a lot of experience in… uh… Forests. I don’t know how to not get lost and walk around in circles without a map. All of my training and shit has been in cities and towns.” he admitted with a sigh.
”The other group has more of the class. If whoever made this floating island meant to split us apart, they’re going to come for us first. Probably thinking that since we’re less people we’ll be easier to take on. I hope I’m right, because this whole floating thing is really starting to piss me off.” he finished, jaw clenching in irritation as he did so. This was already a long day, and it looked like it would be a while before he got to go back home.

With his efforts at trying to help at anyone else who would fall from the train (propably someone was able to keep people stuck to their chairs better than he was...) Kirk couldn`t help but feel a bit down in the dumps. "Well, atleast it was just you who bumbled, Your back can take a blow!" He mumbled loudly to himself, as he stood up. Yeah, he was propably the most well built of the students of his class currently. Atleast when it came to sheer body size! ...Well, aside from Akio... And well, his pouch was strong enough to handle some petty glass shards! And not much else... With all these minor thoughts and tries at self-praise in his head, he visibly flinched a bit when Eli asked if he was alright! "W-well of course I am! A little fall like that won`t hurt me!" He flexed and patted his bicep, being the good old lad as he always was.
...Uptill the ground below him started to shake. With him this close to the train, He quickly glanced towards Eli with a face that reeked of "Oh shit!" with the widest eyeballs he had propably ever seen. "RUN FOR IT DUDE!!!" He shouted, as he took off to his other pals at full speed, as the ground behind him split in half, and would propably had some bricks fall down into the abyss if he didn`t wear pants! He didn`t stop running until he had reached his bro Darren and Alex`s position, as he slid like a baseball player to the last base right next to them! At this point he finally turned his head to make sure that Eli was alright too, only to see as the train along with the rest of the class was pulled away to the distance by some force he didn`t have any idea about...
"...Man, we are screwed!" This was literally like something from a comic book... Apparently their phones were pretty much dead in usability, and they were stuck hundreds of meters in the air. It was not exactly a surprising statement in anyway whatsoever at first glance. "Well yeah, a villains pretty obvious." He scratched his head, trying to get some gray cells moving in it... "And a really strong dude too. Who the heck can split fricking ground in half!?" Fricking, why did all these negative thoughts always come up, when he was supposed to be heroic!? This was the time to be cool, dangit!
So, with that in mind, when alex brought up, that he was not too good in forests, Kirk decided to take his chance! "Well, the villain is most likely hiding there then! With all the easy trees to hide behind!" He clearly pointed towards the forest, almost like a challenge! "Kind of like one of those hags and witches you know! Deep in the forest, living in an old shack and just twirling her fingers and making this stuff happen!" Admittedly, the point he was making was a bit bombastically worded to make much sense at first. But in full, it was pretty much that "the forest is the easiest place to hide in!" He pressed his hand against his forehead to stare towards the woods, glancing around a bit, as his eyes hit some sort of building in the distance.
"Let`s do it like this!" He pointed towards the shed. "Two of us go over there and check what that thing is all about, and me and somebody else go and check the perimeter! Check if we can find a proper shack and what's its!" Ah, the classic "let`s split" strategy. Once again another quite silly plan in hindsight. "You see, If the guy needs to split fricking islands in half, the guy has to be pretty dang tired right about now! Even I feel my muscles go lax after a full sports game!" Atleast to Kirk it made perfect sense. The guy wouldn`t be able to do much if that was the case. And that would mean time was kind of a wasting, before he could recover. "So... Whose with me!?" He proceeded to offer a hand in front of himself, for people to slap in agreement!
"Besides, if I get in trouble, You guys are gonna hear it!" He was the loudest in class, he wasn`t lying whatsoever, and if atleast one of them agreed, he would just up and sprint towards the woods with them. Alternatively, if nobody agreed... He would propably be sulking soon enough.

What a fun day! Now the earth was splitting in two. Darren looked with interest as Yumi and the rest of the class were pulled away, standing nonchalantly at the edge of the split, hands in his pockets. Things had gone so fast. After the train rolled over and people poured out, the earth rumbled and cracked and this happened. Kirk ran desperately for him. Darren flexed his knees a little, ready to use his Autokinesis to pull Kirk out should his timing be off, but he managed to slide beautifully next to him before the ground split, like a heroic batter. No need to worry about him then. The delinquent looked over his shoulder to see who else he was stranded with and where. Alex, Eli and a forest was the short answer. It was rather good news. All were people that Darren liked. Alex was battle tested, and while he had not seen Eli in action yet, he saw him practice often, which put him above Akio in his book. Thank god he was not stranded with Akio. Plus, Eli had taste in music, and that was more than he could say from apparently the whole class, today revealed. Who even listened to idol music in the 2070s? Slave drivers. He spat on the ground at the thought. Alex got out his phone to call emergency services, reminding the delinquent they were on a desert island. Right. No service, of course. Ideas were thrown around as to who the fuck could have done that, which was an excellent question. “Maybe it’s more than one dude. Maybe they got a bunch of earthbenders and rock movers and shit together and they just fucked up and split us in two. Whatever it is, they’re close. No way can they do that shit from a distance.” They said they should go in the forest. “I’m with you, Kirk, but hold on, ima do some recon first.” Darren got out his phone as well, still connected to his pocket speaker. He grinned widely at whatever looks the others would give him for having the thought of putting music in this situation come even remotely close to the general area of his brain, though this lot were probably getting used to his eccentricities by now. “Just wait for me. Won’t be a minute. Now…” He marked a short pause to sync his words with the song. “Excuse me, as I hit the sky!” Very proud of his idiocy, he threw himself over the edge and into the void. He turned around to face the rock facade with a burst of Autokinesis as he fell down the rift. Using his Quirk regularly to dodge falling rocks and the likes, he let himself fall for a fifty or so meters, braking occasionally with his quirk, before he decided to get back up. “Don’t know, if I’m coming up or down ♪” hummed Darren as he threw himself towards a protrusion of the rock, landed himself there and sprang back up. With a couple more burst, he was over the edge again and back with his mates. The song was still playing. It took him less than a minute indeed. “So, it is a floating island indeed, unless this is a really advanced illusion. And its big. I’m not sure how high we are. Maybe I can quirk-parachute myself down, maybe not. I ain’t trying. The air is still breathable, we shouldnt be too far up high, but you never know. Maybe these wankers got oxygen benders too.” Darren’s voice was relaxed, a smile on his face; mobility was his specialty, and he loved to show off. “Alright, now if we’re making a little forest trip, then let me take point.” With a crackle of blue sparks, he leaped to a branch up a nearby tree. He continued, shouting now: “Y’all can’t move like that, so stay as a group! I’ll go in a circle around yall to scout ahead! Whenever you’re ready!” The blonde adolescent laid his back against the trunk of the tree, finding easy balance on the branch. The fear of falling was something that he had never really felt on account of his quirk being able to pull himself out of any undesired fall. As such, he was at ease on treetops, unprotected cliff edges and other situations of precarious balance. And with everyone showing up with their fucking supersoldier cosplay armor that could take his punches or the fucking Evil Overlord and bloody Elise suddenly running as fast as him, he was thankful for the opportunity to establish that in the air, he was still the best. And to a prideful adolescent such as Darren, it was of very high importance. Now, whoever was playing tricks on them like that was about to learn who the hell Daimon Darren was too.

Kirk reassured Eli that he was fine, even though Eli wasn't convinced the time to worry passed due to the ground breaking apart. Kirks expression was definitely the "Oh shut we're gonna die" face, but Eli simply got up right after him and began running to his other two friends. When he jumped, he wasn't sure of the distance so he made a platform behind his feet, and kicked off of it to give him the boost of speed he needed. He landed on the ground with a nice roll. Despite this being a horrible situation, that was a lot of fun to the blonde student. He stood up and surveyed his surroundings.
They appeared to be in a forest type area, plenty of trees were in front of them. They were a group of four and Eli was confident in all but his own abilities. The only fights he had been in he lost. He didn't want to be the weak link, but the other three had at least one thing they were good at. Eli chose to ignore his thoughts for now and focus on surviving. He let the three others speak first before he began to voice his thoughts, "Its pretty obvious that it's a villain, the bigger question is why. I mean it's possible that it was just a random attack and they're not expecting hero students, but at the same time it could have been purposefully on us. Regardless I think we should stay in at least groups of two, if we split up too far the ground could break again like it did just now and then it would be even easier to take us out. But if we split up, I say groups of two. Also I can make weapons if you guys need. Just keep it reasonable. I'm good with going to that shed thing, I might be able to break the lock or make a let to it, but it's more up to you guys what we do." Eli said to the group of delinquents. He didn't know if he could make a let to the shed but it was worth a try. The others were trying their hardest, so he decided to bring his A-game too. He then made himself a sword and shield, his usual style. Gripping his sword in his right hand and shield in his left, Eli was ready to go.
