APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY
Appearance:
Chikako Safaia is skinny, she is considered to be underweight for her height at a measly five feet. She is by no means ugly because of this, she even has a little muscle built up from training at u.a. However, she does not have much else on her besides that. Her hair is black and red, dyed from her original brown and was cut very shortly. On the side of her left head she had a large scar, the size of a ring with a undistinguishable shape. Her eyes, usually a bit blank or sullen, are a dazzling hazel. Her body parts, such as her feet and hands as well are a little smaller than average due to her short body. She has garnered a darker fashion as of late and when not in her u.a uniform, she can be seen warning dark-punk style clothing and sometimes even leather pants on occasion.

Personality:
Chikako Safaia is a smart girl, not allowing her birth of being deaf stop core lessons such as English and Japanese that many of the 'deaf' communities tend to opt out of their core education, though it is a bit patchwork and hard to understand. She is quick to understand things when the ideas are brought to her. Though, it will take her a while to gather that information when it comes to people. She is far from aggressive in her way of living, far more submissive then most people, and will keep to herself and the key reason why she takes so long to understand people despite her clear easy understanding on textual information. Most of this has been caused from her being bullied from a young age for both her quirk and her deafness, so she does have a innate fear of other people. This fear as made her an extreme introvert, causing her to have trouble as prior mentioned with social interaction to the point where she becomes very anxious. However, despite this fear she does care very much for people around her. She does not like to see those around her become hurt or upset and holds a lot of sympathy for others that are hurt; a core reason she wishes to become a hero.

HISTORY
Chikako Safaia was born on June Second at 4:13 am. She lived a rather simple live, being raised by the housemaid for the first five years of her life. Her parents, Ryu and Ako Safaia, were nothing unique and the typical rich snobs talked about in books the only unique thing about them was being quirkless. Chikako hardly saw them as they managed the family business of fashion. The first time she could even remember them caring about her was a long time ago, when her world changed; when her quirk manifested for the first time.
It was a solemn autumn evening, chikako was playing with the housemaid as she usually did after her personal studies. She was beginning to learn more complex words in Japanese only knowing basics, she struggled with getting the foundation misprouncing words and other small thongs. She was an outgoing girl then, loved to play ball, tag and hide and seek. All the silly games that children her age enjoyed. Today, though, she decided after her daily play time instead of going back inside she'd sneak into the wilderness nearby and play 'explorer' feeling filled with energy that day. That was the day that she would discover her quirk.
She was up the hill, surrounded by Sakura flowers that fell every now and then. It was a quiet few minutes of exploration just the evening cicadas sounding off in the background as she went across the cliché log across the river. However, soon, the path that seemed to be made slowly converged into just the wilderness. She could only guess where the way back was, she was lost in this empty small wilderness. It would only take her so long to get out if she went in one direction, though she was sure that her parents were going to be furious with the publicity that this would cause. Though, she cared little about that as she wandered aimlessly scared for her own safety.
Then, the dreaded Shiba Inu showed up, growling at her. Most likely a stay gone feral, it looked relevantly cared for but that care aged and it's fur sullied in dirt. The glistening white and the droll of his teeth was something that terrifies her to this day, the endless abyss of them. She could swear, it was almost a smile. She ran and ran and ran and ran. Her breath pattering as she heard the thudding footsteps of her purser. Then she fell, her left side of her head smashing right into the rock, bouncing off and hitting the floor. It hurt, a cradling scream left her mouth as the floor felt moist in liquid. Everything buzzed. Everything was coming in and out of a blur before everything in her view was shadowed by a pixelated black mist and a demon, no an angel to Chikako, showed and with that the dog seemingly disappeared. Before passing out, she reached outwards to it and said "Tenbi?" before she collapsed. (Tenshi means angel, and Hebi snake. So a pun on his appearance. it also means nose, and he has no nose)
A few hours later, a search team sent to find her found her body, where the demon looking Tenbi disappeared after he finished guarding her. Plopping in and out of existence to defend her unconscious body. The search team, at first, was startled but nonetheless picked her up and rushed her to the hospital. She recovered within two weeks, but with disappointing news. That blow to her head, would cause permanent scarring. However, the even more dreadful news? she permanently lost a lot of her hearing from the damage the shock to her brain caused. She could hear, but barely. She could only hear barely with these things the adult's called 'hearing aids'. All this, a few days before her first day of elementary school.
Her first day of school, a private school nearby her mansion, was horrible. She was not registered as deaf as it was a recent development. She could hardly understand anything, to her own frustrating. Trying to compare to the rest of the kids of her class felt impossible. The kids quickly picked up on her inability to hear and began to pick on her. One day, even her drawing book got tossed into the river and lost; one her only fun pastimes. At one point, she was even pushed to the floor though to the dismay of the other kids. Her quirk was summoned, tried to get rid of the other kids, and if it wasn't for the fact a vigilante come to suppress her summon they would have surely been hurt. After that she was labeled the 'Devil Child'.
After this incident she was expelled and transferred into another school, where the same occurred but no one physically touched her knowing the story of the 'devil child'. Her fear of people grew, she did not even talk to her house maid anymore; someone she loved dearly. People where just too scary for her. Years went on with this, and her fear only grew its way into middle school. The same stuff, everyday, for years. Even if she tried to make a friend, they would avoid her friendly approaches. She was labeled as the 'outcast'.
With the announcement of U.A her parents were frantic about her joining so she'd be apart of one of the original heros. Why? Because they were planning on moving into hero merchandise and hero costumes; a rising market not to far away from their current market which was fashion.however for the several months she had been faking sickness to avoid others. Doing the homework so her grades stayed solid and had a private your to teach her hero-theory and a hero whom was paid to spar with Chikako to improve her quirk; using their family'influence and money to set this arrangement up. Now, She felt like she would attend and face her fears; people.
