This matchup would be interesting, for sure.
Miku was taking combat training much more seriously than most other students at the school Alex had encountered, and he purposefully made a scenario where she’d be able to see where she was in terms of reaching her goals. She said she wanted to not rely on her quirk nearly as much, so he was going to give her the opportunity to practice when her quirk may not be the most useful thing in the world. With two fire quirkers in this scenario, plants were probably not going to last very long.
The setup here was pretty simple. There was an open field with a bunch of prefab plastic walls about two meters wide and two meters tall. There was roughly a dozen of these scattered across the snow-covered field, and the hero team would have a decent amount of time to set these up in whatever way they wanted. There was grass underneath the snow, too, and it was still alive even through the half inch or so of cover that the snow provided. This was the case across the entire area, leading to a lot of interesting possibilities on that front. The entire area was about fifty meters by fifty meters, and the American was honestly expecting the entire place to be overgrown with grass taller than he was by the end of the setup period. Alex, as always, was a good safe distance away from the fuckery, swinging back and forth in a hammock with a nice blanket keeping him warm. He held his phone in his hands with the cameras of two drones on it, able to be swapped between with a tap of his finger. The two drones were simple just flier ones that he used solely to catch footage of the session to distribute to students later, so they could review their own performance.
The hero team consisted of Miku Hanabira, Hayley Reid, and Yusaku Izumi. Hayley, put bluntly, was scary as fuck. She could literally shoot swarms of bees out of her body. Literal swarms of fucking hornets came out of this girl. That was creepy at best, and horror movie villain at worst. Both of them, individually, have pretty fantastic zone control quirks. It’s hard to get through a bunch of plants grabbing at your feet, and it’s kind of impossible to ignore a literal swarm of giant hornets. Izumi literally didn’t even fill out the damned form, so he put him against the fire quirkers on purpose. The little shit would be burned at least a bit for that oversight.
The messages would come in the form of text messages, which they should be expecting if they paid attention at all to the orientation and fliers they were given when they signed up for those whole Hero Operations club. Expecting people to be able to read might be too high a bar, but the delinquent tried anyway.
Hero Team,
You will come to the starting area at Ground Alpha, Field C at 1300 hours. Here you will find premade walls that you may arrange in any way you wish, and you may use your quirks as well to set up whatever obstacles or otherwise the terrain in any way you see fit. The scenario is thus.
There is a mannequin in the middle of the arena that is your VIP. The VIP is a master chef who had just won a huge upset win over a more famous and prominent chef. You are the first heroes on the scene after the master chef called for assistance, citing a death threat that he got on his phone that indicated that assassins would come to murder him before the next Iron Chef competition. You are in a remote location and were only here by chance, and must hold out until reinforcements arrive. There will be two drones in the air for this exercise filming, please do not destroy those. The plastic walls around the area are meant to be interacted with, but will be battered down easily by any determined villain. Protect the VIP by any means necessary until reinforcements arrive. When the smoke bombs activate, the scenario is considered over. If your VIP is still ‘alive’ at the end, the Hero Team wins.
Lie, cheat, and steal. I don’t care how honorably you do this, only that you protect your VIP at all costs.
The villain team would get a note as well, explaining their win conditions. The villain team consisted of Saionji Nikinawa, Robin Engell, and Eli Bantis. One fire quirk, one heat quirk, and one diamond manipulation quirk. Saionji would in theory counter Miku and probably be able to do stuff against Hayley, and the other two were honestly just kind of thrown in to see what happened. Alex had no idea what the hell ‘heat generation’ meant, that was so vague the kid may as well have not filled out the form at all like Izumi. Pettiness was absolutely part of Alex’s personality, though, so the oversight led the delinquent to simply assume heat generation meant fire. If it didn’t… well, Robin would get a face full of hornets as motivation to be a little bit more clear next time.
Saionji was cocky as shit when filling out his paperwork, calling other students nerds and essentially boasting he was too good for teammates. He could create and solidify fire, so maybe his quirk was the reason why he was so… uh, abrasive. Alex was intensely interested to see how the boy stacked up, and whether he would actually give the hero team any trouble. His quirk and experience level on paper were the best in the entire scenario, so this really was his opportunity to shine.
Villain team,
You will come to the starting area at Ground Alpha, Field C at 1330 hours.
You are playing the role of hired assassins whose mission is to take out a VIP, represented by a mannequin. There is only one mannequin in the scenario area. The target is protected by three bodyguards and those bodyguards have made a makeshift defense. The walls are the result of a plastic generation quirk of the VIP, but he cannot create any more. He is exhausted and defenseless. Once you find him, you are to kill him and get out before the police arrive to provide reinforcements. The police will enter the area by throwing smoke bombs in the area first, and if the VIP is not dead by that point, you lose.
If the VIP is killed by the time the police arrive, you win. Simple as that. Find and eliminate the VIP before the timer runs out. Lie, cheat, and steal. I don’t care how honorably you do this, only that you do this. Destroy the VIP at all costs.

OOC Notes: The Hero team gets ~2 rounds to discuss strategy and set up the area. Villains are stuck in the locker room during this period, while heroes are out in the snowy field setting up. Once you know IC what you want to do, feel free to fast forward until the structures are build and the terrain is altered to your liking. Once the scenario starts, it will go on until either the VIP is ‘killed’ or until 5-6 rounds have passed. At ~4 rounds of going all out with your quirk, your character will be exhausted from their exertion unless you have some sort of stamina perk. Keep this in mind as you go along in the thread. If combat moderation is requested, please message either Wolfe or Risaka on the discord and we’d be happy to provide it. Play ball. (:
