PERSONALITY Despite being a criminal, Kenta has always had a sense of morals. For one he is unusually nice for a criminal, and is incredibly loyal to his friends, both civilian and criminal. He does not like causing extensive damage during fights, and tends to dislike those who cause mass destruction or those who murder without reason. This ideology was instilled in him by his father, while he more or less absent in Kenta's life, whenever he was around he would show Kenta old Western films, where he would learn his sense of justice. Kenta respects the concept of heroes, and understands why they need to exist, in his own way he is trying to be a hero by seizing the reigns of crime in Japan to prevent heinous murders and cataclysmic events. The reason he thinks this way is based on his time as a vigilante, where he witnessed many horrible tragedies. These tragedies ultimately warped his perception on crimes in general, to the point where he began believing that the only way to stop crime, was to become crime. He isn't unwilling to harm others however. If you get in the way of his quest to either find Froggy or takeover the criminal underground, he is willing to kill you. He is a very stubborn individual who puts his goals over all else, even his other friends and needs. HISTORY The Codfather was born in 2042 as Kenta Meinkūn. He was raised by a businessman father who was never around, and a mother who was consistently stressed out because of her miserable life without an emotionally available husband. Kenta deeply respected his mother and father, and despite his mother lashing out at him during various times during his life, he would never lift a finger in retaliation to her. Even when at the age of five, his quirk manifested, turning him into a cat-like creature, his views on his parents never changed. As the years went on, Kenta met his closest friend, which he only knew as "Froggy". Froggy and Kenta would often spend a lot of time hanging out together, until Kenta was framed for the defacing of a city monument by a quirk-hating cop named Sojiro. Kenta had often been the victim of Sojiro's constant harassment for years due to his appearance, but it was this incident with the city monument that sent Kenta to a Juvenile Detention Facility at the age of 16. It was here that he was mocked by quirkless juvenile delinquents, they ridiculed him to no end, but Kenta did not care. He felt pity for them, because their innocence was lost by no fault of their own. As news stories began to rise about the vigilantes who fought against the villains that rose during the time of his incarceration, Kenta gradually grew more interested in the idea of using his quirk to help the innocent, so on the day he was released, he immediately began work as a Vigilante. He fought various criminals, saving dozens of lives, and being hailed as a defender of the peace. That was until the night when he and a group of fellow vigilantes attempted to stop a drug ring that was taking place in Kyoto, Japan. Though they had stealthily arrived at the warehouse where the drug cartel was working, a mole within the group had informed the cartel of the Vigilante's plans. Kenta and his fellow vigilantes fought hard against the cartel, and managed to drive them back, but in a panic they caused one of the cartel members to drive out of the warehouse and crash a 14-wheeler truck carrying narcotics into a public square. The crash killed 3 people, including the driver, and injured 4 more. Kenta attempted to resuscitate the victims, but he was too late. This event scared Kenta for life, and he had secluded himself for several months out of guilt. That's when he decided that Vigilantes were a part of the problem of crime as well. Kenta, who had by this point gone by the Vigilante name Tuxedo Purple, decided that in order to prevent such tragedies from happening again, he would have to become the greatest criminal there ever was, to regulate, and to organize crime in a way that normal citizens would not get injured. So, Kenta abandoned his name and set out to become the criminal known as The Codfather, named after his favorite food. His mission, to take over the criminal underground, and reduce massive crime extensively. But his true mission, was far more personal. Upon hearing rumors of Frog Quirk based heroes in the region, The Codfather set out on a quest to reunite with his old friend, Froggy. The Codfather is now age 30, and dreams of becoming the greatest crimelord, starting his own Mafia, the Violet Panthers. |
