Bashira Doji
BASIC INFORMATION
Vigilante alias: Tenpin
Player Name: Aim
Faceclaim/Series: My own sketch
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Affiliation: Vigilante
Height: 2.1 meters
Weight: 115 kg
Hair/Style: White, choppily cut, wild, voluminous, usually unkempt and sadly unwashed. In her vigilante costume, it's uually done into a upward topknot in a club shape, held by a pair of red circular bands. It looks somewhat like a bowling pin standing out straight, which is the subject of some amusement for others.
Skin/Scars: Red skin with callouses on hands from a lifetime of turning hard matter into bowling balls.
Eyes: Fully yellow and somewhat large, but usually squinted into a critical-looking glare. They beam out of the darkness like headlights.
Notables: Her blood is nearly black, but actually just a very deep red. Her teeth are naturally pointed, but not sharp enough to do anything more than a human's would. Her mutations include long, slightly curved black horns, coming up from the forehead and ending in luminescent yellow tips, and noteworthy musculature despite her otherwise lanky body, including enlarged forearms and hands. Her hands are large enough to enclose a whole bowling ball or another person's head. Her tongue is, surprisingly, just like a human's tongue, but black in color.

APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY
Appearance:
With many details described above, from her red skin, to horns, to eyes, to enlarged hands, one looks at Bashira and immediately sees an ogress. Looking a little closer will reveal that beneath these features lies a slightly enlarged, lanky girl. She has a chin that is perhaps just a bit too long, and a little too jutting, increasing her natural grumpy look. Her nose is very narrow and somewhat long as well... in general, her whole face seems a little long. Her ears are lightly too large, but rounded like human ears. Her shoulders and back are a bit broader than most ladies. Her breasts are a little unremarkable. Her waist is narrow with a bit of ab definition. Her legs and arms are both very narrow and tight, except where they grow at the forearms.
In her daily life, Bashira likes to try out all sorts of different clothing, mostly punk-fashion stuff like loose tees, jeans, and such, but with a slant towards wild patterns, unusual prints, and head-scratching combinations. At the bowling alley, she obeys etiquette and dresses in a bowling shirt and slacks, with colorful bowling shoes, a sight which never fails to amuse children who would normally be frightened by her appearance. Her hygiene is never the best, due to her life as a vagrant, but she makes time for a bath... occasionally.
When it's time to go on the job as the vigilante Tenpin, Bashira uses a costume tailored by a vigilante sympathizer who frequents one of her bowling haunts. While not a professional job, it's a far cry from what she could manage to put together on her own. The costume includes a white, woolen, tube-shaped dress, ending just above her thighs with black leggings underneath, and slit up to the waist to allow her legs flexibility. The dress is striped red around the waist, with a red belt hugging the abdomen. Form-fitting gloves and boots complete the outfit, with matching red banding at the elbows and knees. The large fingers of the gloves are clad in thicker black leather, which were intended to make her hands comfortable as she rolls balls... but that's hardly necessary, as she feels little discomfort from the process. The costume is designed to allow her great mobility, without focusing so much on defense. To complete the costume, she pulls her wild hair up into a tall topknot, securing it with two cheap red bands.

Personality:
Those who don't know Bashira well see the parts of her personality that her clear from her outward appearance. With her ogress-like appearance, Bashira comes with a matching temperament, and is quick to blow her lid over perceived insults and injustices, both to herself and those she cares about. She's not what one would call clever, bright, or even decently perceptive. Her fighting style is brash and so is her judgment of good and evil. She is not a critical thinker and often jumps to conclusions, which is a bit ironic given how she often fights against people's initial conceptions of her, but she sees good and evil in very clear terms, and will usually work her way around to judging actions as she should.
Bashira is a simple person when it comes to her likes and dislikes. Above all, she is straight-forward, like a bowling ball hurtling towards a center pin: she doesn't like being given the runaround, complicated talks, or anything that requires a lot of thinking. She doesn't hide her feelings well and she's no good at bluffing. But her honesty and simplistic view may sometimes be refreshing as well, and at heart, she's a much softer person than she looks, despite being quick to aggravate. Her staunch stance on justice and also her bluntness make her a very trustworthy person, as even if she tried to bluff her way through something, she wouldn't be likely to follow through with it. Bashira takes everything very literally, including jokes, flattery, and insults.
The bowling themed vigilante is proud of her lifestyle as a vigilante and, as a result, is pretty bad at keeping her identity a secret when it matters. Her character in and out of costume is basically unchanged. For that reason, she is always at odds with cops and with the city's many heroes. She does not oppose the hero's creed to avoid killing, but she can't stand their strict rules, their rankings, their schools, and worst of all, the at-times unintuitive obligation they have not to destroy the city around them. For villains, Bashira has little patience or sympathy, and her narrow sense of justice allows for little gray in judging them. She regrets the few... mishaps where villains were nearly murdered by bowling balls, but with those exceptions, she feels little remorse breaking their legs or arms as they attempt to fight or flee from crime scenes. If confronted by a moral dilemma, she usually responds with aggravated growling, a gruff complaint, and a reversion to whatever answer presents itself most quickly.
It can be tough for Bashira to make or maintain relationships, but she is a surprising regular at many of Tokyo's bowling centers. She fits in with all kinds of rough and tumble folks, from gangs of delinquents to wayward children, and somehow usually pulls the best out of them with her surprising dedication to justice and bowling, along with willingness to laugh at stupid jokes and childish humor. She has an easier time relating to boys than girls most of the time, and despite her beastly appearance, she loves to accessorize. Whether her garish combinations of animal patterns and bright colors make for effective fashion is up to one's interpretation. She likes to browse shops, but she has to find costume tailors when it comes to even her regular clothing, given her size. She's rarely had to think about being in a romantic relationship, as the topic doesn't come often, but she generally feels discomfort about the subject, being both completely unable to play the game when it comes to flirting and hopeless at hiding her own feelings.

HISTORY
Bashira was abandoned by her parents before she ever knew them and lived her early years in an orphanage. It is not hard to imagine that her red skin, yellow eyes, horns, and odd musculature made her an undesirable child in a world still coming to terms with quirks as a concept. She rarely questions why her parents abandoned her or who they were. Her general attitide toward the coincidence of her abandonment is a resounding "Who needs em?" The name Bashira was given to her by the orphanage, while the name Doji she chose herself later in life, because she thought it sounded bad-ass.
As a teenager, Bashira was moved to a boarding school, where children with quirks were permitted, but quirks were not trained; education was the highlight. With her awkward lack of social skills and her noteworthy slow-wittedness, not to mention her quirk causing teachers and students alike to avoid her, she never achieved much in the way of academics, nor did she form lasting friendships with others. For the most part, she failed to share their values or follow their conversations, nor did she perceive that she needed their companionship.
Of course, education and child-play were never the highlights that Bashira anticipated growing up. She stuck to what she knew: her intuitive use of her quirk. Bashira became more concerned with honing her quirk and less concerned with her studies, which she'd never excelled at to begin with. Eventually, she became a runaway, abandoning the school and making it on the mean streets. Her living expenses were maintained thanks to her willingness to help others by completing awful manual labor tasks for a small but livable fee. She began to live out of a duffel bag and travels the back alleys as well as the bowling alleys, popping up all around Tokyo, where quirks are increasingly common.
After wasting her teenage years with a lot of bowling practice, getting by on payment for odd jobs and the charity of others, she became clued into wrongdoings perpetuated throughout Tokyo, by those who used quirks to prey on others. Her rage bubbled as events hit closer and closer to home in the streets where she lived, with violence and larceny ruining lives, and finally, she decided to take matters into her own over-sized hands, moving from brawls with criminals to hunting them down with weaponized balls of rolled up debris ripped from the environment. The intervention of police has been a nuisance to her, curtailing her initial vigilante spree, but to what extent she can, she learns, and operates as far out of the public eye as possible. One day, she may screw up and regret taking justice into her hands and acting on her own, especially once some policeman or new hero takes the time to connect the dots between rumors of a homeless bowling ogress and a vigilante with horns and bowling techniques, but for now, she derives a great amount of satisfaction by doling out justice against the villains who terrorize Tokyo.
Bashira has so far inflicted injuries upon several crooks and small-timers, the results of which have been several broken bones, but she has avoided causing fatalities by utilizing mostly ground-based bowling attacks. One may speculate whether she can keep to a code of punishing without killing, whether it is honorable to consider using a fighting style that deliberately breaks the opponent's legs to begin with, or how much it will take to push her over the edge into using the full limits of her super strength. For now, Bashira's is the story of a well-meaning but violent girl, who in her own mind does right by the world, even as she many of those she hopes to protect either run from her in fear, or worse, attempt to get her arrested. Her simple worldview does not easily adapt to the fuzzy ethics and shades of gray that color the blooming culture of heroes and villains, causing her to spend a lot of time growling in confusion and bowling to take her mind off it.
