1-A | ◀ | The heart is a heavy burden ❤ There were a lot of people and as Rowan simply looked around the room without much interaction, she simply remained close to Sean and Ryuusei. She had not spoken much to the vice-class president but that was okay, there were moments for it whenever. She noticed Rin entered and for her, it was the same but what she immediately noticed, together with the rest was that no one organized it and she felt a knot in the pit of her stomach, which made her not happy. She did not want to think too much about it, her eyes went to Erek and back to Kimiko, she frowned with the girl's behaviour again and turned back to look a the other people entering. She felt at least more relieved when Kanna stood next to her, casually leaning to the wall, "No you did not. I am glad you came."
A few more entered and she swore that a second Kanna entered and she looked at her friend next to her and gave a smile before she looked at the ground as it gave a shake and she only looked back up when she noticed that the light was slightly disappearing. She knew that she should stay calm and collected, as she had discussed with Kanna before when they talked albeit shortly about Semper Fi. She took a step back to stand next to Kanna immediately. "I don't like this." But this was U.A. The only thing that could be happening to this whole location was something the teachers did, right? So this was a training. She bit her lip until she tasted a drop of blood and she tried to lower the pressure. Her eyes tried to follow Sean in the dark and Ryuusei and she agreed with him, she looked back at Kimiko, who spoke immediately after Ryuusei. She simply ignored her and looked at Kanna, "I stay with you." If it was outside, perhaps her mechanic quirk, which was a guess based on Semper Fi, did not work completely but together she was sure they would work something out again. And she stayed calm with Kanna around because Kanna did stay calm. She looked back at Kimiko when she was done speaking, she had, of course, caught some words and perhaps it was good if there were people staying behind but they did not have that luxury if they had to get out. She looked at Kanna, in Semper Fi, Kanna had known the route simply by memory and now it was the question of how they would continue. She wanted to say out loud that she did not wanted to be split up from her friend but she remained silent. "Perhaps it is good that some stay behind but I am not against Ryuu his idea if the people that can go alone agree. I rather not go alone but I want to go out there and see. Even if it is real or if it is a training, I am not part of a support team, not that that is bad, but I am learning to jump into action when something is happening, this is that moment." For this whatever it was, she looked at Kanna shortly, hoping she agreed or come up with a better strategy or anyone else. Jaz maybe or Rin? |

I see you through the flood See you through the fire See you through the storms-a-raging
❧ “You are early.” Was what Yoru shot back when Ryuusei told him he was late, but it was only friendly banter as he offered the opened potato chips to his friend. The rest of the people arriving to the scene after him were about as knowledgeable of the reason for the gathering as he himself. Jasmine and Kanna both seemed like they had no care for why they were all here, and the other blondie, Relena seemed even less sure in herself. Yoru raised an eyebrow in her way especially. She will need to walk closer to them if she wanted in on the fun. Standing at the sidelines would get boring quickly.
When the rumbling started, Yoru adjusted his stance, ready to deal with a coming earthquake that wasn’t so uncommon in Japan. However, it proved to be a bit more than that when the windows were swallowed up by something outside, and their room was veiled in darkness. He had the easiest solution against the dark. Everyone gave voice to their confusion, and Yoru’s harmlessly flaming crown lit up on his forehead and around his temples. As if an orange colored torch, he gave light in the sudden darkness to help them see their surroundings better. Jumping to the window, he only saw the barest of movement outside as if the ground itself was covering them up little by little. When it all came to a stop, he was right there with Ryuusei and the others at the door to check the outside.
Yoru decided to leave the thinking to the more intellectual ones, while he took a few steps closer to the outside and stared toward the tunnels that appeared before them instead. As soon as Ryuusei deemed the air to be plenty, he walked down the steps to stand on the ground, not venturing forward, only barely paying attention to the talking behind him.
As if a loyal dog standing guard in front of the pack, he was watching the area carefully. The tunnels seemed to be well taken care of, which was odd in itself. Was this area always like this under the dorms? In that case, it could be safe to assume that it might all be a test from the school’s side. Remembering the obstacle course and the rather elaborate and uncomfortable plastic tube, he wouldn’t place it past the Principal that this was his work too, but... This felt different. Something about this felt entirely different, and the hair was standing on the back of his head from it.
Still sporting the harmless flames on his forehead as a light source, he quietly walked back to the rest of the group just in time for Ryuu to grab another potato chip from the bag he was still holding out. Careful planning wasn’t exactly his forte, he was more of a guy of instincts, and his senses told him they had to get out there now, or they won’t make any progress anytime soon. Ryuusei and Kimiko both made good points in their debate, but there was another point to be considered: they had to get moving preferably yesterday, because hello, their whole dorm fell into the ground and there had to be a reason for that. It was nice to hear that Rowan was on the same wavelength as him, agreeing that they needed to explore the tunnels if they wanted results.
“I am opposed to people tackling those tunnels alone.” He said, directing the words to Ryuusei, as he offered the strongest of their people to go alone instead of in pairs. “Strength or not, it is safer to have someone be there to watch your back on unknown territory.” But he nodded toward his classmate, indicating that he was alright with going. “But I’ll go with you to the darkened tunnel.” He felt some unease in being forced to go on separate ways, as he was worried for the well-being of the others deep down. However, he knew it was better to form groups and gather as much intel as possible, because they didn’t know how long they will have to stay here, and what awaited them out there. It would be so much easier if there was someone with a quirk that could move the ground around... He was worried about the people he knew well, and even more worried for the people he did not. He at least knew the abilities of the former few, but the rest, he wasn’t yet sure they will be able to protect themselves. “Whatever you chose to do, just be careful.”

So many opinions, so many different points of view... and honestly Jasmine couldn't bring herself to give a fuck. On some level this might have been mistaken for cockiness, but in Jasmine's case it was simply the fact that if something wasn't done they'd just stand there and argue.
Yes, the whole building sinking into the ground did surprise her. Hell, it woke the blonde lioness right the fuck up, dozens of questions swirling in her head about the whole charade; questions unanswered by neither facts nor logic. What Kimiko saying made sense and the girl had a point - there were too many factors here that just rung all kind of alarm bells in the blonde's head, her instincts immediately sensing danger all around them. Then again, so did Ryuusei's blunt approach make sense - they might as well explore these tunnels, try to, in one way or another, figure out what the fuck was going on.
"Alright!" Jasmine suddenly announced, clapping her hands together to get the attention of everyone present. "Both Ryuusei and Kimiko make sense but if we stand here and debate nothing's going to be done no matter how much you debate and try to out-argue each other. So, here's what I propose:" Jasmine, having somehow gotten her boots and jacket with her, plopped down on a random beanbag and slipped her footwear on. "I'm shit at staying back and defending and we need to figure out what the fuck's going on. While setting up a base of operations is great and definitely necessary, we can't know how long it'll take for someone to dig us out of here... if that's even possible."
"My quirk makes explosions, and that's a horrendous quirk to have underground. Which is exactly why I'm gonna go alone. If I bury myself under fifteen tons of stone, at least I'll have dug my own grave and not yours. So, as Ryuusei said, Imma go out and scout, try to get to the bottom of this shit show. Yeah? Great!" She turned to Rin, clasped her hands together in a 'prayer,' and smiled, "I'll be careful, I promise!"
With that, she slipped into her jacket and began walking out the dorms, "You guys do you. I'll be back after I find something out." Aaaaaaand... she was off, lighting the way into the sixth tunnel through the use of miniature explosions and the light they generated in her palm.

❝You're showing me colours of the sky, But all I see is Grey❞ 741 w. kenjutsu-f | reinforcement-f | radiant dawn-e Relena gave a polite smile to Sean as he came to say hello, nodding her thanks for breaking a little bit of her self doubt before he went to rejoin the others. It was good to see someone who could be so polite, which gave her the added courage to go and stand by her room mate Kimiko. But as she started the trek, Relena felt the ground start to rumble. Her eyes widened in shock as she looked out the windows to behold the radiance of the sun begin to fade away for dark, rough earth.
Her body began to shake slightly in fear as the thought began to dawn on the girl. This building was descending like some kind of elevator to hell. It wasn't a rough ride either, as it was slow and deliberate...was this the doing of some villain? No way was this a natural occurrence. Once the ride had ended, everyone began speaking up about their opinions. It brought insight into the minds of who Relena was working with.
Sean and Ryuusei were the first to speak up. Although Sean had little to say, he was the first to step foot outside and confirm everyone's' suspicions that they were indeed buried alive! Ryuusei gave off leadership qualities, already offering different methods to cover ground. But she could not fully agree with the idea of anyone going alone.
Luckily, her friend Kimiko spoke up regarding these concerns. The danger of a cave in was all too real and despite anyone's strength, being trapped would be a terrible fate. Relena put a hand on Kimiko's shoulder and gave her a grin. "My my, that was quite a mouthful. I would expect no less from you, Ms. Kimiko. It almost sounds like you want to stay behind and miss out on all of the fun." Looking at the others continue to share their opinions, Relena realized that she couldn't be reclusive at this time. Regardless if this were a training exercise or a real attack, everyone needed to work with one another if they were to get out of this alive and well.
"Well, it seems that both of you-" Relena gestured toward Ryuusei and Yoruhi. "Have already decided that you would be going together. Oh, by the way-"
Relena crossed her arm over her chest and gave a short bow to the room. "I-I suppose I never properly introduced myself. My name is Relena and I believe my quirk might be useful in this situation."
She held her hand out and a baseball sized orb of light materialized above her grasp, shining brightly above her. "I can make these for light and also shine a flash light from my palms. So I could take point for whoever could..."
Her small speech was cut off as the other blonde quite abruptly announced that she would brave the caves by herself. Wait, did she say she made explosions? Was she seriously going into the darkness alone with explosives as her only means of sight!? Before Relena could fully comprehend the situation, Jasmine was already out the door and rushing through the darkest of all the cave entrances. Well, she's certainly brave...or foolish. I'm unsure which. Damn it, I'm seriously going to get yelled at for doing this.
She remember her father and the thoughts of him striking his victims down in the dark. Relena had always feared darkness because of him and the thought of being alone with whatever may be out there shook her to the core.
And so Relena strode out toward the door, giving a glimpse back at Kimiko. She offered a wide smile to the girl. "Be sure to keep the blankets warm, Miss. I shall return with due haste."
Relena ran after Jasmine, keeping a firm grip on her bokken as she slowed her advance to walk next to the girl. She was already prepared for the fiery girl to yell at her and to tell her that she didn't need anyone. But perhaps she would surprise Relena and say nothing? So she just nodded to Jasmine before turning to face the cave ahead, holding her hand out to summon a globe of light.
"I can at least make things easier and let you save some of your strength for when something bad happens. Please allow me to join you and be of some use....I just want all of this to be over with."

When she felt that tremor, the blonde's aloof, disinterested look shifted immediately. Her eyes narrowed, alert, ready to either react to what might have been a simple warning sign to a far bigger earthquake - or something else entirely - or merely a small, irrelevant geological occurence. They were, after all, in the land of the rising sun, where such events were part of every day life... The ensuing darkness, however, was something else entirely. "The fuck...?", she grumbled, eyes widening slightly as she immediately understood something was off, as would anybody else with half a brain. Before she could realize just what exactly was happening, the surprises kept coming one after another. Instead of darting off into a frenzy, Kanna calmly picked up her phone and started typing away, putting her Quirk to work, breaking into whatever networks within range. She wouldn't get far on that before they found themselves completely underground... Sean was the first to make a move, not like anybody would have stood around either way, but making a huge mess with the whole crowd beelining for the door wouldn't do anybody any good. Kanna followed, taking a deep breath and quieting any budding anxiety, understandable at the mere notion of being locked underground. Getting out of this would need a clear head more than anything, so as her classmate opened the door and unveiled a crystal laden path, branching off into different diractions. Undistracted by this deceptive beauty, Kanna rested her hand on her hip and spoke, mostly to Rowan, but to whoever cared to listen really: "Whoever's pulling this stunt can't be too far. Find them, and we can put the dorms back where they belong. Still, to think we gotta run around like rats inside a maze..." This is a bad idea... Kanna curled her lip, knowing that they didn't really have any better alternatives. The oxygen might be enough now, but there's no saying for how much longer that statement would hold true. If anything, if it didn't, then it meant their foe wanted to keep them breathing for whatever reason... That said, Ryuu urging them all to split up and leave home base made her sigh, though another girl quickly got her attention: "Yeah, good idea. If they're trying to separate us, splitting up this much is bad enough as is...", the girl named Kimiko spoke wisely, though Kanna would often approve of solo operations, they had little to gain from playing the enemy's game, "Ideally, we should defend all passages, while a smaller group explores each them one at a time, make sure to keep the dorms protected. We dunno how long this war will last, and it's as good a home base as any." They knew neither the enemy, nor did they have Heaven and Earth on their side. Now the issue here was making herself heard. At the end of the day she was no general, merely a strategist and thus naturally had to plan for whatever her classmates decided to do "I guess the place is as stable as the enemy wants it to. If anyone encounters them, don't take em on. Retreat and regroup. Fighting them on their home turf is bad enough, doing it on their own terms is just retarded... They can make a whole building disappear, so they're probably not pushovers. No reason to gamble our aces...", Kanna looked at Jasmine, understanding her need to get moving far better than she'd like, and instead looked to rin, "Both of 'em at least." That said, Kanna couldn't really abide for the whole class staying behind while naught but a reckless few ventured in there. Scratching her head, she looked to Rowan with the faintest hints of a smile, knowing she'd rather join up with somebody she knew she could work with: "That said... Imma take a look in one of those tunnels, anybody else wanna come with..?", she'd say sparing a moment's notice to see if she had any takers, before turning to Rowan and nodding to one of em, "Come on then... We gotta see what we're dealing with, hopefully we'll get an idea of how far these tunnels go..."

--- ARISU --- - - - This had been a bad day to be standing on the roof. Arisu had been putting an absolutely mindboggling amount of practice into her maneuverability lately, and it'd been paying off... more or less. It was still clumsy, to be sure, but she was hoping to expand it beyond the current short hops and rocket-jumps it allowed her, and a high-altitude test site was what she'd settled on as a great way to give her plenty of time to exercise control and thrust power on the way to the ground. She knew there was a meeting going on downstairs, and had planned on joining them, but she'd figured she'd leap off the building, coast to the ground, and re-enter the building like a normal human being. However, upon moving towards the edge of said building, the ground was already rushing up towards her inexplicably. Reflex overcame curiosity, and Arisu bolted to the rooftop access door, flaring black flames behind her to make it in time to slam the door shut before earth boiled up over the edge of the descending building and sealed that passage entirely. She wasn't sure how she would have fared had the door been left open, but neither did she intend to find out. Maybe it'd been a foolish move to run inside instead of trying to launch herself to safety, but she'd had no assurance that the ground wouldn't just swallow her alone, without a convenient building-sized coffin to store air, maybe water, and snacks for the duration. So it came to be that Arisu descended to the meeting from the upper floors instead of the front door, confused, concerned, and further puzzled at the surplus of fresh air. Upon reaching the ground floor and realizing there was light and such outside, she headed there instead of to the meeting, and that was where she encountered the other students, when they came outside and started to split up. Everything happened extremely quickly at that point, and- when Jasmine headed towards the ricketiest tunnel of all talking about how she didn't want anyone else caught if she collapsed the tunnel, she bee-lined on her tail along with Relena. "Hey! If you're going this way, you're gonna need some backup- namely, lights that won't blow up the ceiling, and a way to clear rubble safely if we do get caved in. I can't do the first, but Relena's got that covered, and I can do the latter- can dig out injured folks without hurting them further, too. Lemme tag along, promise you won't be sorry." Arisu spoke with confidence that belied how she felt- this whole situation was terrifying. She'd have felt safer falling out of an airplane than trying to navigate back to the surface. Still, she knew that one of the very few things Jasmine couldn't easily do was remove large amounts of debris off possibly injured parties without hurting them any more- and that meant she could patch one of those tiny gaps in Jasmine's skillset. This trio, in her mind, was super solid! WORD COUNT: 519 TEMPLATE BY ELIZA @ BOTE & THQ

Post by Jack Orion on Mar 29, 2019 0:28:55 GMT -4
Jack honestly couldn’t remember a time where he was so nervous that his legs were shaking.
He stood outside the gates of U.A. Academy, having finally been accepted into the prestigious academy for future heroes. It had been a long, grueling process, having to talk overseas originally with the headmaster, having to learn a whole new language unlike any of the Western languages, and had to put up with a 24-hour flight to the small country of Japan. It didn’t really help that people often gave him strange looks the entire time. He shuddered at the thought of it. It was definitely a cruel endeavor, given his history with most people, but at least it was done and over with.
He took a deep breath, pumping himself up for his new future. Soon...he will be on the road to becoming a true King of the Dragons, even though he was the only dragon person he and anyone else really knew of. He fully intended on moving past his trauma that has haunted him his entire life, and become something more than the monster that everyone often portrayed him to be.
This...was his beginning.
Jack nodded to himself, slinging his bag over his shoulder, and dragged a suitcase behind him as he entered the academy grounds. ”Let’s see...I think I was placed in room 11 in the dorms...I wonder if I’ll have a roommate,” he thought aloud, becoming a bit nervous at the thought of having to share personal space with someone. Of course, he would deal with it if he absolutely had to, but he felt that would be a rather large leap compared to the pace that he would have prefered to go.He shoved the thought aside for the moment, deciding that he would find out soon enough and deal with it then. One thing he definitely needed to work on was his social skills, anyway.
After following various directions throughout the school, he eventually came across the rather large dormitory hall, gulping at the amount of floors between both buildings. He supposed it made sense, considering it likely had to house a lot of students. The sheer idea of that alone made the small dragon boy pale a bit, his tail swishing in anticipation. He then shook his head, deciding to go in before he could hesitate any further.
He surprisingly got lucky, as no one seemed to be around in the dorms main area, which gave him a clear path to go and find his room. After almost accidentally heading to the girl’s dorms, he quickly turned around and proceeded to find his room. He knocked on the door a couple of times, to make sure that no one was inside, and made his way inside.
He shut the door behind him, taking in the room around him, taking in the fact that it was where he would be living for the next couple of years. It was a basic room, but it was definitely roomy. He appreciated the space, at least, and everything seemed pretty comfortable. He took in a deep breath, and exhaled, smiling brightly. ”Welp, welcome to your new life, Jack,” he said to himself, stretching as he attempted to make himself comfortable.
It was then that Jack decided to begin unpacking his stuff, making sure to fold all of his clothes neatly as he placed them in drawers, plugged in his only game system at the time, a silly handheld console that he played on the plane trip, and overall took the time to make the room seem like home. Luckily, it didn’t seem like anyone else lived here, so that was a definite plus.
He took over a good hour fiddling with his room, so much so that he didn’t notice the light falling movement of the building and it suddenly getting darker, as he already had the lights on. After he was finished, he smiled in content, before looking out the window and seeing only caverns. ”Wait what.” he said to himself in disbelief, his skin paling as he comprehended the sudden change in scenery.
His immediate instinct told him to go outside to check out the sudden crystalline caverns that he was suddenly plunged into, along with anyone else in the building at the time.
What he didn’t expect, however, was the amount of people he saw as he peeked out of the already opened door. That part alone made him squeak in surprise, sounding like a rubber ducky, and promptly hid behind the doorway. Assuming that the others would likely notice the sudden sharp noise he made, he would peek outside again, getting nervous at the sight of all the people that would probably be staring at him.
After a second, he would shyly come out of hiding. They would find a rather short, young looking person, with fluffy, pure white hair, and startling purple eyes that were filled with anxiety. He waved a little, giving a small smile to the group, only briefly showing off razor sharp teeth. ”U-um...h-hi…” was all he would say, not really knowing how else to go about the matter of introducing himself to the group. His long, white reptilian tail swished back and forth behind him in anxiety, the small boy hoping that the others would suddenly jump on him and asking questions, considering they had a bit of a bigger concern at the moment. He would wait to see how the others would react to him and the situation before making any sort of comment, afraid of what the others might say to him.

Feng had finally moved in after the hassle known as paperwork and making sure everything was in order so she can come to UA. In such a short amount of she has met many sorts of interesting people at this academy. Many individuals she must look to in both as rivals and as potential allies on the road to becoming a hero. Being in another country away from family and friends in America is bit scary for someone of her background. But she was determined to become the high-flying hero that will make her family proud. Still, there are many things that she doesn’t know about her school and this city and eventually, she must come face to face with the underbelly of the underworld that lies beneath the world. She will have to train so she can face it head on without fear or regret. For now, this day was a day of relaxation as she finally put the final touches in her room and decided to not attend whatever event was going on the roof today.
She had finished unpacking all her stuff from home and she was taking a day to relax from her daily training. As she listening to music and thought about the road ahead of her, she started to doze off into sleep as she basked in the sunlight. Thoughts of home, her future, what will happen, everything started to swirl in her head as she slowly drifted off. She was suddenly awoken by a quake that shook her room and the sunlight that once filled her room was now gone. The quake knocked various objects off their shelves but luckily all of them were fine. She quickly turned on her phone light and ran towards the entrance of the dorm. Upon seeing what was outside, a massive cavern was in front of her and it seems like everyone in the dorm was also taken aback by this. She could hear the echo of the people who were on the roof but it seems like all of them were fine.
All things considered, this was the last thing she expected to be under a school like this. But then again, all places have their secrets and a school like this is no exception, though she may want to keep that thought to herself as others studying here may not want to hear that sort of thing from a hero. She debated on what to do from here on out which is either finding the others or going off and scouting ahead to find out what exactly is in this cave. Leaving through where the building came in would not be the best idea as something or someone must of caused this. She had a mental back and forth for a minute or so and then decided promptly.
“Let’s see how deep this rabbit hole goes..”, Feng says to herself as she uses her quirk to traverse the dark caverns with a phone in hand. She was not one to travel alone but in a time like this, she has to set aside her personal emotions for now for the benefit of everyone.
If she were to run into anyone from the UA, she would promptly introduce herself and ask them to help in the exploration of the tunnel. Anyone else who seems suspicious is asked with a simple question of ‘who are you’ and ‘where is this place’.

It took a lot to get Tsuji out of his sleep state during the winter, what with the clashing of bear and human parts making him adhere to the bear's yearly cycle, but the human wanting him to keep going. He wasn't exactly wide awake, but conscious enough to move and talk. Why he'd gotten up in the first place wasn't even really his own choice: Tsuji had been accepted into Yuuei, and was apparently due to join Class 1-A, the first class. His parents were over the moon, and so was he, however he couldn't show this effort too much. As such, his parents urged him to go have a look at the school grounds again, get familiar before he started proper. It would do him some good, and they said they could let him sleep again if he went and did it. Being a bear had its quirks, no pun intented, but Tsuji could do without the shifts in body heat during the winter.
Arriving at Yuuei, pretty hopeful and curious to take a look around, he wandered into the school grounds, looking at the well-cut grass, the massive building itself and the smaller buildings around it that he assumed would be dorm rooms. As he kept looking around, one of the dorm room buildings caught his eye – well, to say that would be an understatement. The building was clearly sinking into the ground, which couldn't be some form of weird school tradition. He may have been tired, but Tsuji would never take an opportunity to let people get hurt. He dashed over there on all fours, feeling the cold wind on his face. As he lept and bound towards the collapsing construction, he braced himself, and took a giant leap, smashing through one of the fourth-floor windows into an empty room.
A while later, Tsuji woke up in the room, clearly having been knocked out or just blacked out from smashing through the glass. His efforts had caused some dirt and stone to fall into the room, though thankfully it didn't look like it was being used. Tsuji got up, shaking off anything that would make him dirty, and more hopefully would get any broken glass off of his back. That quick rush of movement had boosted his temperature up a bit, although he was still pretty tired. Wandering out of the room, he moved down the building, looking out of windows to see the caverns that were now his view of Yuuei. Eventually, listening out, he heard a voice, trying to follow it, and then eventually that voice turned into noise, and Tsuji began seeing a small but bright light, possibly from a phone. Keeping on it, he eventually found a way out into the caverns, and followed the noise and lights, yelling out “Hey! Wait for me, wait for me!” If it was a Yuuei student, great, if it was a hero, even better, but no matter what, Tsuji would try and help any way he could.
